Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Chapter Text
Charlie Morningstar knew she had lost the thing she had wanted ever since she had gotten into that fucking fight with Katie Killjoy. Goddamn it. She let out a huff, hoping that the hotel would still be standing by the time the limo had gotten back.
***
Charlie doesn’t even know she had bothered.
The hotel was gone. It was clear that it had been just standing here but now the building was just gone.
The princess of Hell barely felt Vaggie’s gentle touch on her shoulder as the other demon pulled her into a hug. The taller demon doesn’t even know if she even had started crying over the hotel.
“This was your fault, Angel.” Vaggie hissed and Angel reared back at the accusation.
“You can’t be fucking serious. I was in the car with you two bitches. Why would I blow up the shitty hotel?” In hindsight, Angel Dust should have realized that the words should have never left his lips as Charlie rose to her full height to stare at him and God, did he just want the princess of Hell to just glare at him. She is simply staring at me, which is worse. Angel Dust didn’t know know what to think until he felt Alastor’s presence beside him. Vaggie quietly apologized to Angel Dust but he was barely paying attention to her as he watched the Radio Demon.
It was rare that the Radio Demon was quiet but it was clear to everyone that he wasn’t speaking because he could tell how irritated Charlie was. She may not be close to actually exploding but she is getting there. None of the demons knew how to comfort Charlie, knowing that they didn’t want to say the wrong thing in order to set her off.
“I will pay for a motel.” Charlie merely walked back to get back into the limo, not wanting to look at the ruined building. She was nothing left. She had to start all over again. I just have to start over again. The princess of Hell was trying to look on the bright side of things, even as her demon form slowly started clawing out of her but when Charlie started to feel her anger boiling inside her, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, not wanting her demon side to take control over things just yet.
When Charlie opened her eyes once again, she was ready to appease the people as best as she could without slaughtering any one of them.
“Charlie?” Vaggie approached her and when Charlie turned to face her, she smiled a sweet smile at the female demon. However, despite the smile, everyone knew that it wasn’t her usual smile.
It was her “suck it up” smile.
“Charlie, we can work on finding the demon who destroyed the hotel.” Vaggie wanted to make her girlfriend happy and yet, Charlie gently shook her head.
“It will be okay, Vaggie. I can start over. Besides, the building needed an upgrade anyway, yeah.” Even though Vaggie wanted to speak with Charlie more on the subject, she could tell that the princess of Hell wanted to forget about the hotel for the time being. “You’ll see. It will be okay.” The kind-hearted demon repeated, wanting Vaggie to believe her. Vaggie stayed silent, knowing not to aggravate the other demon.
Vaggie went back to the others. “What’s up with her?” Angel Dust questioned, wondering why Vaggie was shivering. “She didn’t say anything to you, did she?” He questioned, knowing that Charlie would never actually hurt Vaggie on purpose. The other female demon huffed at the accusation against Charlie.
“It was nothing like that. She’s pissed. Even more than usual.”
It was very obvious as to why. Charlie put her entire hopes in one building and now, it had been destroyed.
“It is clear she really wanted the hotel to be up and running by now.” Even Alastor was sticking back with them, not wanting to increase the amount of irritation Charlie was feeling. When they looked at Charlie’s back, all they saw was a shudder rippling through the princess’s body and they knew they had made the right decision in staying back.
Charlie still needed time to process things.
Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Chapter Text
In the I.M.P. building, the Hellhound receptionist was just scrolling about on her phone, not caring about her adoptive father’s business. However, as she scrolled about, she noticed that there was a post about the princess of Hell’s hotel being destroyed and she stopped for a moment. What the fuck? The Hellhound was shocked to see the news, even though her outward facial expression didn’t show it. She hummed, wanting to know what happened to the hotel. Didn’t she fucking claim that she wanted to make sure demons could turn good? What the fuck was she trying to say with that? We’re in Hell. However, despite her thoughts, the Hellhound wondered if another demon just wanted the princess of Hell out of the way.
“Clearly, she isn’t dead. That would be all over the news.” Loona murmured, getting Blitzo’s attention.
“What are you muttering about, Loona? Is it one of your phone addictions?” He questioned and Loona let out a small growl and it didn’t cause Blitzo to backtrack his words, seeing that he didn’t hear the very small growl she had let out.
“Yeah. It’s nothing important.” Loona didn’t know why she was hung up about the news of the princess’s hotel being destroyed. This isn’t my problem. The Hellhound frowned before she scrolled away, not wanting the news to destroy her already bad mood. “Just regular Hell things.” Loona hummed non-committedly, wishing she could get the post out of her brain. Damn it. I need a smoke now. She let out a small huff, wondering if Octavia would be willing to hang out with her later on. “Hey, Blitzo, you still let Stolas fuck you?” Loona knew that the question was uncalled for but it was important to know how the imp responded.
“What the hell, Loona? Just say you want to hang out with Octavia.” Blitzo huffed at his adoptive daughter’s ways of asking to do things, causing the Hellhound to grin a wolfish grin at him. “Do you want to hang out with Octavia?” He asked and Loona rolled her eyes.
“You already know the answer to that.” She merely stated, pulling back up the post about the hotel on her phone. Loona didn’t know why she was getting a bad feeling from the post. She may have never met the princess of Hell officially but all she has heard was that the demon was the sweetest thing to walk the path of Hell. Of course, the Hellhound knew why she was worried, she just didn’t want to acknowledge it unless she was forced to.
“Alright, alright, Stolas said you can take Octavia out on an adventure but he also told me for you to have her by midnight.” Blitzo spoke up after his conversation with Stolas. “He said it would be good for her to get out of the house.” Loona didn’t need Blitzo to clarify why. Everyone knew what was going on between Stolas and his wife and sure, Loona wanted to get the younger demon away for a little bit. She just had her own agenda for wanting to do so.
***
Once Octavia had been dropped off by Stolas, the demon waited until her father had left so she could greet Loona. “Hi.” She said and Loona tried to hide the small smile that had formed on her lips.
Millie noticed the smile around Loona’s face and she didn’t comment on it. She then gently shook Moxxie and showed him the interaction between Loona and Ocativa. They weren’t shocked that she was smiling; they were shocked because she was finally starting to relax around other demons even if she still had a temper.
“Someone looks happy.” Blitzo spoke up, ruining the moment as Loona started scowling.
“We’re leaving now.” Loona gave the Imp the news before flicking him left before she had actually left the building. Octavia noticed the interaction but decided not to comment on it when they were still in the building. Before Octavia could ask Loona why she had done what she did, Loona pulled out her phone to show the younger demon the post about the hotel. “Did you see this already?” Her curiosity peaked, Octavia started to look at the post and start frowning once she finished looking at it.
“I thought it was just some prank that went wrong. Why would anyone want to destroy something that the princess of Hell, as crazy as it sounds, put her entire soul into?” Octavia looked up at Loona, who was looking at her in shock.
“You say it like you personally know her.” Loona breathed out. Octavia realized her slip-up and she turned away from Loona.
“Charlie likes to talk to every being that comes across her.” She told Loona before leaving it at that, not wanting to get caught gossiping about the princess of Hell. Octavia did promise her father that she wasn’t going to stress out about anything. Loona let the conversation drop, seeing how uncomfortable Octavia had gotten.
Pulling out a cigarette, Loona wondered if her lighter was going to work but as she flicked it, glaring at it in frustration. Octavia couldn’t suppress the small giggle she let fall from her lips as she snapped her fingers, causing a small flame to appear. Loona looked at her before lighting her cigarette. When the younger demon snapped her fingers again, the flame went away. “Thanks.”
A comfortable silence between the two as Loona thought about how she would even find the princess of Hell. Surely, she wouldn’t come to this dump. The Hellhound assumed.
“Any interest jobs lately?” Octavia wanted to make conversation and when Loona realized it, she pulled out her cigarette to take another intake of Hell’s air.
“Well, you know, just our usual. I would be more amused if we had more clients trying to kill us.” Loona’s words got Octavia’s attention as the girl looked at her in shock. “Relax. We always win in the end.” Loona promised the younger girl but that didn’t make the girl look even less horrified at the things her friend had to be involved in at her job.
“Why is your job so dangerous?” Octavia didn’t forget what Loona did but it did make her fear for the Hellhound’s life, knowing that she had to put her life in danger so many times. That means that everyone else also has to put their life on the line too. Octavia wished that she could help them out but she knew that they wouldn’t want her doing the same exact thing they were doing. She wanted to ease the dangers of their job and yet, she didn’t know how. Can’t do that if I can’t protect them. The young demon frowned at her own thought.
She really hopes she would be able to help in the future.
***
A crazed grin was the last thing a demon saw after he tried to attack Alastor and once the Radio Demon stood up at his full height, cracking his neck out of extreme boredom, he was ready to go back to the hotel.
After all, he had potentially, new people to have fun with there.
Maybe they would give me a challenge.
He really hoped that the princess of Hell would give him a challenge.
Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Chapter Text
Alastor was listening to the sounds of the hotel but in particular, he was listening in on Charlie’s and Vaggie’s conversation, and he was not enjoying what he was hearing. “You can’t trust him.” It seems that Vaggie was trying to get Charlie to get rid of the Radio Demon and Alastor simply took in the words that the moth demon was saying. However, the Radio Demon knew that Vaggie was just an insignificant pest that wasn’t really important to his plans to get Charlie to go over the edge. Not yet. Alastor knew he could use Vaggie but he wanted to wait until he really needed to hurt Charlie. He knew that using Vaggie would be the perfect chance to push Charlie over the edge. However, for the time being, Alastor wanted to use the loss of the hotel to get the princess of Hell to give in to her anger. I know losing the hotel would piss her off. Alastor wasn’t stupid, knowing that it would be dangerously improper to approach Charlie when she wasn’t in the right mindset to even talk to another demon without losing her cool but he was personally interested in seeing the princess’s demon form.
When the office of the princess’s door opened, Alastor was quick to disappear, not wanting to be caught eavesdropping on the lovers’ conversation, knowing that would probably turn Charlie’s anger on him and Alastor wasn’t ready for that, wanting to have some kind of safety network before he went out and did something too crazy. And, fucking with Charlie when she really wasn’t in the mood, was definitely something considered too crazy and it was definitely something Alastor wasn’t ready to do just yet. He needed to wait until Charlie had calmed down before making her angry with something else related to the hotel. Alastor wondered if he had an idea of who decided to destroy the hotel, knowing Charlie would very much appreciate that information once he had it but of course, even Alastor wasn’t aware of who had destroyed the building. However, he had an inkling that Katie Killjoy was the one who had destroyed it, if not funded the person who ruined the hotel.
Alastor knew he would have to tip off Charlie once he had done his research but he wanted to make sure that he was telling the truth first, not ready for Charlie to kill someone innocent just yet. I want to push her into doing that but not right now. Alastor knew he wanted to get Charlie to be in her demon form, wanting to keep the princess of Hell under a constant anger-prone personality but again, Alastor wasn’t ready for Charlie to get mad at him for something he could have avoided and so, the Radio Demon knew he would have to do something else in order to get Charlie into her demon form. Time to meet with Katie Killjoy. The Radio Demon already knew where to find her; he just hoped she was still there by the time he would have arrived.
***
Katie Killjoy knew she had to get the hell out of the news station before Charlie found out what she had done. She would definitely kill me three times over if she knew I was the one to have exploded the hotel. The news reporter knew she really didn’t like Charlie but she knew destroying her hotel would have made the princess of Hell angry; she just wasn’t aware of how angry she had managed to make the young demoness. Ah, shit. I have to get out of here. Katie knew she had to make sure that no one saw her leave but when she attempted to leave and came into contact with the Radio Demon, Katie Killjoy knew she had to play her cards right so she could survive her encounter with Alastor.
***
“You look as if you’ve done something wrong. Am I right on that front?” Usually, Alastor was only around to play games and find something to entertain himself with, however, right now, he had to keep on playing the part of a worried business partner. “You wouldn’t have any chance to run into someone who was talking about destroying the Hazbin Hotel, did you?” He questioned and Alastor watched as the demon’s eyes widened before Katie Killjoy glared at him, knowing she had to pretend she didn’t do it for a few moments.
“No, of course not.” Katie Killjoy was lying for obvious reasons, not wanting to die at Alastor’s hands. Alastor chuckled at the woman’s quick response.
“That was short and sweet, and to the point. However, if I may say so, I know you’re lying to me.” Alastor’s tone become just a tad bit darker as he let out a small growl as he simply stared at Katie Killjoy. The Radio Demon didn’t appreciate being lied to and so, he continued to stare at Katie Killjoy. She continued to glare at him, not wanting what the Radio Demon wanted from her.
“What do you even want from me?” The news reporter demanded from Alastor, who huffed at the woman’s demanding tone.
“I don’t want anything from you but you need something from me.” Alastor corrected and Katie Killjoy hated that the Radio Demon was telling the truth and she hated that she needed something from him.
“What do I need from you?” Katie Killjoy knew she was playing with fire but she wanted to know if Alastor was truly serious about helping her out.
“You need your popularity back. You did lose some points with the public for fighting the princess of Hell when you were on live air.” Alastor responded and Katie Killjoy let out a small huff. Damn it. She hated how smart Alastor was when he really wanted to be a menace.
“And I have to help you in order to get it back?” Katie Killjoy already knew how the Radio Demon worked and despite that, she wanted to make a deal with him.
“Perhaps I want to make a deal with you?” Katie Killjoy questioned and the question got Alastor’s attention, wanting to know what the other demon wanted from him from a deal.
“What would be the requirements of the deal?” He questioned and Katie Killjoy smirked at the Radio Demon, knowing that he would have the information she would want in order to see what was Charlie’s weak points.
“Charlie’s weak points.” Katie Killjoy responded with a determined smile on her face. She didn’t care what she would have to do for Alastor in order to get the information; all she knew was that she needed to get it. She needed to know what made Charlie easily pissed off. She needed it all.
Alastor let out a small chuckle. “Is that all?” He was curious about Katie Killjoy’s reasoning about only wanting to know Charlie’s weak points. “I would have assumed you wanted her strengths as well.” The Radio Demon responded and yet, Katie Killjoy shook her head.
“I don’t care for her strengths. I need what makes her weak in the knees to the point where she wouldn’t risk anything.” Katie Killjoy told Alastor and somehow, that made the Radio Demon shiver as he started to become excited, knowing he was going to hurt the princess of Hell by telling Katie Killjoy the information she sought from him. In fact, Alastor didn’t even care he was going to betray Charlie’s trust when Katie Killjoy looked into his eyes. “Is that a deal, Alastor?” She questioned. Alastor smirked at how eager Katie Killjoy was and he held out his hand. Despite knowing that the Radio Demon was a very suspicious demon, Katie Killjoy was very much willing to make that deal with Alastor, shaking his offered head as she grinned at him. “What is her weakness?” She turned to look at the Radio Demon, knowing she had sealed the deal with him.
“Vaggie.” The word slipped out before Alastor could even bare his fangs at the woman. Katie Killjoy tilted her head to the side. “Her main weakness is Vaggie.” Alastor knew he was only allowed to say what he had promised to say and yet, he knew he could just ruin Charlie by telling the news reporter all about Vaggie. After all, Vaggie needed to be out of the way so he could talk to Charlie and get her to unleash her demon form and simply stay in it. I may be taking a risk but seeing Charlie lose her shit over Vaggie is going to be lots of fun. Alastor was just ready to ruin Charlie’s life and if he has to rat out the fact that she cares for Vaggie to do that, then so be it. Alastor didn’t care about the fact that he would definitely be making Charlie angry with him. All he really wanted to do was just hurt the princess of Hell so she would lose her shit long enough to transform into her demon form.
To be the princess of Hell, she is too sweet. The Radio Demon wanted to see Charlie lose herself to the anger that he would purposely build up, knowing it would be such a treat to see the young demon lose her shit. Alastor only wanted to see Charlie lose herself so other demons can see that she is not a demon to be messed with. The Radio Demon wanted to see how Charlie would defeat her enemies in an enraged state and he couldn’t wait for the madness to result from Katie Killjoy’s knowledge of Charlie’s girlfriend. “I’ve given you the information. Now you have to help me.” Alastor reminded Katie Killjoy, who merely stared up at him.
“Couldn’t I just promise you her head?” She questioned and Alastor was quick to glare at her, not wanting the crazy demon to kill the princess of Hell.
“You are not allowed to kill her.” He threatened and Alastor took in the disappointed huff of Katie Killjoy. “You are, however, allowed to torment her with thoughts of being unable to find Vaggie.” Alastor snapped his fingers and allowed Katie Killjoy access to the inside of Vaggie’s hotel room. However, it was very much filled with nothing but a desk. “She sleeps with Charlie.” Alastor doesn’t even know why he was still surprised by it. It was clear that the two demons did well when they were together and he couldn’t wait until he got Charlie alone. After all, she can’t become a raging demon with her worried girlfriend running right behind her.
The Radio Demon was very much ready to get the party started. This is going to be fun. Alastor was always down to cause chaos and he couldn’t wait until he could see the look on Charlie’s face when she realized that not all demons can be tamed. It would be such a sad lesson to learn. Alastor continued to spy on Vaggie, not even caring about the aspect of getting caught by Charlie, knowing that the consequences would definitely result in his death.
“I have some things to do.” Alastor looked over at Katie Killjoy and knew he just had to put his trust in her. “Don’t fuck this up.” He warned the demon and she nodded her head, knowing she couldn’t fuck up the deal she made with the Radio Demon, knowing that the demon would kill her if she dared to ruin the plan he had told her. Katie Killjoy knew she needed to stay alive and out of trouble so Alastor wouldn’t do anything to her. She really didn’t want to die and she definitely didn’t want the so-called fucking princess of Hell to do something to her just because she decided to mess with her little girlfriend. I don’t need the damned demon going crazy on my ass. Katie Killjoy didn’t know how she was going to grab Vaggie, especially when she was always around the fucking princess. She has to have some time for herself, right? The reporter demon knew Vaggie didn’t spend all of her time with Charlie and thus, she knew she had to start stalking the demon.
“Great. Now I have to actually put in the work.” As much as Katie would ask Alastor for help, she knew that the Radio Demon’s help was conditional and she would rather not increase the number of deals she made with the Radio Demon. She hoped that stalking the princess of Hell’s girlfriend wouldn’t put her on the demon’s radar but all she really wanted was to let Charlie see that demons do not want to be redeemed. They were demons. It was in their nature to be evil.
Charlie Morningstar was just a different breed of demon.
Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Notes:
Since I am already done with Chapter 4, I am going to go ahead and upload it.
Chapter Text
Charlie Morningstar really was a different breed of a demon, especially when she was pissed. She was avoiding losing control of her powers because she was afraid to let go of the control she had over herself. She didn’t want to transform into her demon side, knowing all types of chaos that would result from the fact that she merely transformed. I need to calm down and think rational thoughts. Charlie breathed in and out, feeling her body surge with the power she did not want to reveal that she had and yet, all she could feel was the crackle of her powers going down her spine. Shit. The young princess of Hell knew she was slowly losing control over herself, knowing she was going to transform sooner rather than later. She definitely didn’t want to reveal her demonic form, knowing she had no control over who was attacked by her demonic form.
“Vaggie’s gone!” Angel Dust’s voice was the last thing Charlie heard before everything went black.
***
When Charlie opened her eyes again, she noticed that Angel Dust and Alastor were looking at her. Vaggie wasn’t anywhere in sight and her heart felt crushed. Where’s Vaggie? Charlie wanted to know.
Where was the love of her life?
Charlie’s breath came out raggedy as she let out a small growl as she pulled herself up. “Wh-what happened?” She looked up, wondering why Vaggie wasn’t with the others. Why isn’t she here? Charlie was extremely worried, eyes darting from Angel Dust to Alastor. Neither looked willing to answer but Charlie knew she was going to get an answer from them, knowing she needed to know where her darling Vaggie had gone. “Where the hell is Vaggie?” Charlie knew her eyes had narrowed and she hated that her eyes had narrowed, knowing she was feeling even more anger as she could feel her heart pumping in her ears and she hated it, not enjoying the feeling as she knew what it meant.
She knew it meant that she was about to lose control over herself and she loathed knowing she could tell that she wasn’t herself when she was feeling the burning anger of her demonic form. Charlie closed her eyes, not wanting to give in to the anger that wanted to take over. She didn’t want to give the anger an excuse to take over her body. I need to calm down. The princess of Hell didn’t really want to turn into a monster even though she knew it was justified. However, Charlie didn’t want to scare anyone with her demonic form, knowing she was ruthless once she transformed. I can’t afford to lose myself in this situation. The young demon thought, keeping her eyes closed, not wanting to feel the fire in her eyes when she stared at something.
“It’s okay, Charlie. We’ll look for Vaggie.” Angel Dust knew that it wasn’t the right time for his usual jokes, seeing how pissed Charlie was. This isn’t like Vaggie. She doesn’t just up and leaves. Angel Dust wondered if something happened to the moth demon, seeing she didn’t leave a note or anything. Did she get kidnapped? He didn’t regret turning his suspicion upon Alastor, seeing that the Radio Demon didn’t enjoy how close Charlie and Vaggie were. Did he make a deal with another demon to take Vaggie away? The male porn star didn’t want to think about Alastor in a not-so-holy light but it was Alastor. The Radio Demon was very honest about getting rid of demons he didn’t like. Vaggie is clearly important to Charlie. Angel Dust knew he had to do something in order to find the moth demon, not wanting to see Vaggie’s corpse. “I can look for her by myself if I had to.” Angel Dust didn’t miss the look Alastor sent him and he resisted the urge to shiver, knowing that the demon wasn’t going to hurt him in front of Charlie right now. It was clearly too risky to increase the amount of anger Charlie was feeling already. It would be suicidal to make her even angrier. Angel Dust turned to look at Charlie, who was glaring at him but he could also see the hope in her eyes. She really needs Vaggie by her side. Angel Dust smiled a sad smile, knowing he had to find Vaggie for Charlie’s sake and definitely, for the sake of Hell.
The demon knew that the princess of Hell would do anything for her girlfriend and he definitely didn’t want to get in between their sweet relationship. She is a good protector. Angel Dust knew he definitely didn’t want on Charlie’s bad side, seeing she had simply cracked the ground with simply hitting the ground with her fists. She has too much power when she’s angry. The porn star knew he didn’t want to see Charlie kill anyone in a fit of rage. She doesn’t deserve to have blood on her hands for something else someone else did. Angel Dust wanted to keep Charlie happy, knowing it was simply best for everyone, including the demons who wronged Charlie in the past. Angel Dust let out a staggered breath, knowing he needed to start searching for Vaggie. I bet Alastor made a deal with someone to kidnap her. Angel Dust really hoped he was wrong, not wanting Alastor to be one of their enemies. Unfortunately, I can see him being the cause of this. The porn star turned to look over at Alastor, who started grinning at him. He hated to smile back but Angel Dust knew he had to make sure Alastor didn’t know he suspected him to have paid off someone to nab Vaggie.
Angel Dust really hoped that Alastor was just being Alastor and not trying to piss Charlie off.
For a while, Charlie remained silent and no one wanted to interrupt her, knowing she was trying to figure out a game plan.
“Okay, Angel Dust, you can be our outside man. Alastor, I want you to stick with me.” Alastor’s smile stilled at the words and yet, he knew he couldn’t afford to act recklessly now. Charlie was already pissed and as much as Alastor wanted to increase the amount of anger she was feeling, he didn’t want any of it directed at him.
Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Chapter Text
Loona turned to Octavia, who had also paused. “Did you feel the disturbance in the air?” The Hellhound wanted to make sure that she wasn’t just feeling random things. However, the way Octavia was looking made Loona realize that the young demon did feel the disturbance in the air and she was trying to figure out how to address it. Did Charlie finally lose her shit? Octavia really hoped that wasn’t the case, knowing that Charlie was one of the sweetest demons who ever existed in Hell. I hope someone really didn’t just decide to mess with the princess of Hell just to make her lose her shit. Octavia looked over at Loona, who was still looking around. It was clear that the young demon was looking around for something. “What are you looking for?” When Loona noticed Octavia was talking to her, she turned to look at her.
“Sorry about that, I was making sure that the ground wasn’t about to explode.” Loona continued to stare at the ground, hoping Charlie’s anger wasn’t going to destroy Hell, knowing that would leave everyone in a lot of shit.
“Is that why you’re looking at the ground like it’s the enemy?” Octavia understood the Hellhound’s worry, knowing that Charlie’s anger, when she was in her demon form, was something to be feared. “I want to know who destroyed the hotel because I know that was the kicker for Charlie’s rage right there.” Octavia knew that Charlie wanted the hotel to be a safe spot for every demon that wanted to be redeemed and maybe have a few demons who was still unsure sit in on the process to see if they wanted to go through the process themselves. However, now, Charlie couldn’t even do that as she had nothing left. There was nothing stopping her from staying in her demon form.
Loona’s ears flickered and she craned her neck, wondering what she was hearing in the distance. Before she had the time to register what was happening, she felt Octavia pull her forward as they started running, feeling the ground underneath them start to crack. Once they leaped to a different area in town, Loona peered down at the cracks and was so glad that neither she nor Octavia had fallen in. “Holy shit, she is losing it right now.” Despite her words, Loona wasn’t blaming Charlie for her fit of rage.
“I think the other demons seriously forget that her power can crack the ground and show us another layer of Hell.” Octavia said as she also peered down at the boiling lava that looked ready to pop.
“So basically, if Charlie loses her shit like this completely, then we’re all double dead and probably never coming back again?” Loona asked and Octavia’s face soured as she nodded her head. “Well, shit.” Loona wasn’t too keen on dying, especially not by boiling, popping lava. “Alright, let’s go see what the Princess needs.” Loona said and Octavia looked over at her in shock.
“I thought you wanted to avoid her.” Octavia wasn’t complaining; she was softly smiling at Loona. Loona scoffed gently.
“Listen, Tavi, she’s clearly distressed about something. Maybe we can help her and prevent the nicest demon from turning into our biggest nightmare.” Call her soft but Loona wasn’t used to Charlie being the demon who lost her lost. Loona usually sees demons like her who lose their shit, not Charlie. When Loona realized she had given Octavia a nickname, she rolled her eyes lovingly and she turned to Octavia, who was still smiling at her. “Yeah, you have a nickname now.” Octavia giggled at Loona as they both continued to head toward Charlie, hoping they could help her out with whatever problem she had.
***
Charlie’s eyes were burning red as she tried to control herself, hearing the ground crack underneath her feet. The popping of the lava started to get to the Princess of Hell as she started giggling until she was cackling.
Not ready for her to completely transform, Alastor reached out and tapped her shoulder, causing the half-transformed Princess of Hell to turn around and glare at him. “I know you want to look for Vaggie but losing your cool won’t get you anywhere, now would it?” He questioned, causing Charlie to glare at him for a few more moments. However, Alastor was patient, knowing Charlie was going to calm down soon. She just needed a few minutes to be angry.
The rumbling of the ground finally stopped as Charlie closed her eyes for a few seconds, allowing her body to cool down from her attempted transformation. Once she opened her eyes, Charlie was back to being herself, albeit with a sadder facial expression. However, Alastor preferred this look over her transforming into the Princess of Hell completely. The Radio Demon knew he needed to keep Charlie under his control and thus, allowing her to transform right now wasn’t in the plans. I need to keep her happy for the time being. Alastor was just happy he did hire Katie Killjoy in keeping Vaggie away from her puppy of a girlfriend. I need to keep Charlie happy until I am ready to use her for my plan to lead Hell to madness. Alastor knew that Hell already was a place that had no laws and thus, should a powerful demon rise up and took control away from the royal family, then Hell would definitely be thrown into nothing but chaos.
“Where are you, Vaggie?” Of course, Alastor had to play babysitter to the princess he wanted to use in his plan.
“I wouldn’t worry too much, Charlie. It’s Vaggie. Maybe she had one of her usual fits of anger?” The Radio Demon shrugged his shoulders, not really caring about the other demon in the first place. He just wanted Charlie to stop talking about such a useless girl.
She doesn’t contribute anything to the hotel.
Alastor didn’t quite understand why Charlie even wanted to keep Vaggie as her girlfriend. If she really wanted someone to date then shouldn’t she have gone for another royal? “It’s time for you to think about the hotel. You still need a new building.” Alastor murmured and Charlie turned to glare at Alastor, who merely innocently smiled at her.
Asshole.
Charlie was shocked she had even thought that about one of the demons who could kill her with no problem.
Charlie knew she wasn’t going to be able to think about the future Happy Hotel when she didn’t have Vaggie by her side. I need to find Vaggie. Her eyes hardened as red flashed in her eyes momentarily before Charlie blinked, wondering why she felt the urge to cause mayhem for a few seconds. Shaking her head, the young princess of Hell decided to get back into thinking about where could have Vaggie possibly gone.
***
When Katie Killjoy heard the angry curses coming from Vaggie’s lips, she smirked at the demon, knowing she had the one, personal thing Charlie cared about. When Vaggie found herself able to blink, she glared at her kidnapper, only to see Katie Killjoy staring at her. “What do you want from me?” Vaggie hissed at her. The next thing Vaggie felt was a crack against her face as Katie slapped her, causing her head to be forcibly turned at the hit.
“Do you really think I want anything from you?” Katie demanded from her. “You have nothing that is valuable to me unless you’re talking about your connection to the stupid princess.” Vaggie growled at the words Katie used to insult Charlie. “The princess cares for you and I’m getting my revenge on her for embarrassing me on my own show.” Katie wanted Charlie to pay for messing with her while they were airing and yet, she knew she had Vaggie as bait for the princess.
“She will find me.” Vaggie didn’t know it but her face was betraying her as she felt nothing but fear as Katie started backing away from her, knowing what she was doing to the demon.
“Oh, of course, she will find you. That’s what I’m counting on.” Katie smirked at Vaggie and the demon could do nothing but look at her in horror as she started to walk away from her.
What is happening?
Vaggie hoped that Charlie knew who had taken her already because she wasn’t getting any good feelings as time started to pass by. She did not want to be around Katie Killjoy for too much longer.

Chapter Text
Vaggie didn’t want to remain around Katie Killjoy and yet, it was very clear that the other demon didn’t realize what she had just signed up for. Vaggie knew how angry Charlie could get if she felt threatened instead of the usual mocking she got on a daily basis. She knew Charlie could deal with the mocking; she wasn’t going to deal with being threatened with a peaceful nature. Vaggie feared that Katie didn’t realize how much she had just threatened Charlie and the only thing she had done was take her away from the Hell Princess. Charlie will not be happy. The moth demon refused to let herself feel fear in her current situation, wanting to free herself so she could head back to Charlie.
“You won’t be going anywhere,” Katie approached her very suddenly and Vaggie glared at the news reporter, causing the demon to roll her eyes in amusement. “You can keep looking at me like that but it won’t help you out any,” she told the moth demon.
“You fucking…” Vaggie felt a chill seep into her bones when she heard a very familiar chuckle. Katie noticed the fear in Vaggie’s entire being and she smirked at the sight. How interesting. She’s afraid of the Radio Demon. Alastor appeared in front of Vaggie.
“Getting you out of the way for the time being was easy. Charlie is busying herself looking for you but she will never find you,” Alastor didn’t bother to force Vaggie to look at him, knowing he was frightening the moth demon. Her entire being shuddered and the only thing Vaggie wanted at the moment was to have Charlie next to her, holding her. She only wanted Charlie and not whatever the two demons had planned for her. And yet, despite wanting Charlie to be with her, Vaggie also wanted her to remain safe, not doing anything reckless.
***
Charlie couldn’t calm down, feeling cold rage filling her entire being as she let out feral growls, and yet, she was trying to calm down, not wanting to lose her cool completely. She didn’t want to transform into her true demon form without having anything to help her turn back. Angel remained close but out of her reach and that was the way Charlie wanted it, not wanting to hurt the spider demon. “Sorry, I don’t want to hurt you,” she explained, feeling tears fall down her face as she breathed out easily.
Angel knew he had to tell Charlie about his thoughts about Alastor being the reason behind Vaggie’s disappearance, knowing she would believe him. He just didn’t want to set her off completely. She would appreciate me telling her. Angel knew he would have to tell her and he knew that if she got too angry, then it was justified. Vaggie was in trouble and they didn’t know where she was. “Charlie, I think Alastor had something to do with it,” he admitted and just like that, the air had changed.
It was clear Charlie hadn’t wanted to hear the Radio Demon’s name get spoken, and now that his name had been said, she felt that same cold rage begin to overpower everything else. “Charlie, please! Think about Vaggie. She wouldn’t want you to lose your cool like this,” Angel really hoped he wasn’t making the tall demon princess even angrier, never wanting to do that to Charlie. However, it was obvious that she was listening to him as she blinked, taking in his words.
The Hell Princess blinked once again and Angel was happy to see her usual red eyes instead of the bright red sclera from her eyes, which showed her full demon form. She has calmed down. Hopefully, nothing else makes her angry enough to transform. Angel wasn’t dumb; he knew Charlie would only transform because someone did something to make her feel threatened and that was why she had reacted in such a way when she had lost the Hotel but now, she was missing Vaggie. The spider demon knew Vaggie was much more important to Charlie than some random building. Yeah, it have been the hotel she had been dreaming about for so long but Vaggie wasn’t a demon she could get back if Charlie ever lost her to death.
Angel continued to watch Charlie, seeing how frustrated she looked. He gently placed his hand on her knee when she sat down against the wall of a building, breaking Charlie away from her frustration at the moment. “We’ll find her,” he told her and the Princess of Hell sighed, placing her head on her knees.
“That’s not the problem. Well, it is one of the problems because I need Vaggie by my side but I am also worried about Alastor. I can only control such a powerful demon if I go full demon,” she explained and Angel’s eyes widened at the words.
“And you’re worried about losing complete control of your full demon form,” he had already figured it out, and even so, he also knew that there was some part of Charlie that was horrified that she would willingly give up that part of herself over to her full demon form just to make sure Alastor doesn’t cause any more trouble. “And yet, you also want to let that happen,” the Princess of Hell looked at him in shock and slight horror.
“I…Yeah, you’re right. I do want to let myself lose control for once,” she admitted.
“Can you like, ask for your full demon side to, you know, help you?” Angel was curious and Charlie shook her head.
“Even asking for a tiny bit of power means giving it control,” she explained, causing Angel to look at her in confusion.
“It?” He asked her to clarify and Charlie breathed out easily.
“My full demon side is nothing more than me losing control over my emotions and yet, the most powerful emotion that actually makes it dangerous is anger. What makes me dangerous is losing control of my heart and letting anger take over,” she explained and Angel understood what she was saying. Holy shit, so that’s why she’s afraid to feel any kind of anger. Even just a tiny bit of anger can set her true demon side off. Angel hoped Alastor wasn’t trying to use Vaggie as a bargaining chip to get Charlie to forget about the hotel. A war would happen and it would be all Alastor’s fault for wanting to see Charlie lose her shit. Angel didn’t want to see sweet Charlie lose control over her heart and thus, her anger, knowing it would spell horrible things for Hell.
Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Chapter Text
Charlie wished she could say that her heartbeat was helping her calm down but she knew that wasn’t true. The way her heart continued to skip a beat every other pump made Charlie afraid, knowing what was happening. She had gotten too angry. Damn it. Charlie knew she needed to calm down her beating heart, knowing she couldn’t let her inner demon take even a little control. Let me take over for you. Poor Vaggie needs us. Charlie’s inner demon knew what it was doing, and it hoped that talking about Vaggie would make its host want to give in to the pure rage she had been feeling for the past few hours.
When Charlie blinked, she was suddenly staring at her reflection, who was in demon form. “You need me,” Charlie’s inner demon told her, and even though Charlie was trying to look away from the sight, she couldn’t look away from what her demon form looked like. That is me whenever I give power to my inner demon. Charlie forced herself to look at the sight, and despite wanting to find her ugly, Charlie knew she wasn’t bad-looking when she was in her demon form but was still considered scary. The Princess of Hell was sure she couldn’t take being considered one of the scariest demons that lived in Hell. Of course, Charlie knew she shouldn’t play dumb.
There was a reason why people considered her one of the scariest demons that lived in Hell. She was the third strongest demon, only being beaten by her parents. No one else could match up to her if Charlie finally decided to take things seriously. Vaggie got kidnapped because I wasn’t taking things seriously. With the increased anger, her inner demon started to creep to the top of her mindscape, wanting to be in charge of things. However, Charlie took a deep breath, knowing she shouldn’t let herself lose control of her emotions. She couldn’t let her inner demon take control of her body, knowing it wouldn’t be good for anyone if Charlie let her anger consume her. It would be good if I could let it happen without fear of destroying Hell but my anger can’t be tamed. Charlie knew her anger wasn’t tameable but she knew being worried about Vaggie wasn’t going to be good for her in the first place.
Charlie wanted to find her girlfriend, knowing she believed Angel Dust about Alastor letting someone take her away from the hotel. I can’t just accuse him if he does know where Vaggie is. She didn’t want Vaggie to be harmed in the case of her accusing Alastor would piss the Radio Demon off, and Charlie knew that it would make him angry. I refuse to risk Vaggie’s safety. Charlie doesn’t want to risk Vaggie getting hurt because she wants to hurry up and find her. Damn it. She gritted her teeth, and Charlie’s shoulders tensed at the sudden arrival of Alastor appearing out of nowhere. He got someone to take her away. Charlie couldn’t think straight, becoming filled with thoughts of Vaggie in distress.
“Where is she?” Charlie was holding back a lot of her anger, not wanting to transform into her demon form. It would be bad for everyone involved if she transformed into her demon form. She didn’t wish to rely on the powers of her inner demon, knowing it would be smug at seeing Charlie use its powers. “Who did you make a deal with?” Charlie was slowly losing her mind as her eyes switched from her usual soft red to blood-red eyes as she tried to keep herself in control. Charlie could feel her anger turn into rage as a growl fell from her lips, and her blonde hair started floating. She needed Vaggie with her right now, and she wasn’t there.
Charlie needed to rescue her girlfriend. Charlie let out another growl, and when she blinked, the Princess of Hell allowed her demon form to appear, not caring about her inner demon taking control of her actions as her horns appeared and glared at Alastor. “Who the fuck did you make a deal with?” Charlie exploded as the ground beneath everyone’s feet started to rumble as cracks started to appear in the ground.
Angel Dust’s eyes widened in horror as he looked around his body, seeing small cracks surrounding him. He didn’t miss large cracks appearing around Alastor’s feet. Her inner demon knows who Charlie is angry at. He thought, not happy that the ground was starting to have cracks in it but he was grateful that he didn’t have to watch his every steps. Charlie is going to burn him alive if he even thinks about doing something to make her even angrier. Angel Dust understood Charlie’s rage, knowing he fucked around with Vaggie but she was…one of his friends.
He wondered if he could find Vaggie for Charlie but he didn’t want to leave her alone with Alastor. She already lost Vaggie; she won’t be able to handle me disappearing on top of Vaggie being gone. Angel Dust wanted to help more but he knew he helped by sticking by Charlie’s side. He glared at Alastor, and he knew that the Radio Demon felt the glare on his back even as he didn’t react to it. Alastor was focused on Charlie, whose demon form was out and about. She’s already in her demon form. I didn’t have to coax her into transforming. Alastor was happy to see the young woman’s demon form, knowing he had the perfect bait for Charlie, no matter how angry she was. “Alastor!” Charlie wasn’t pleased with being ignored and she growled out the Radio Demon’s name.
“I’m sure you want to see Vaggie again,” he started, and even Angel Dust froze at the words he started with. Charlie glared at Alastor, and he was sure Charlie was looking into his soul with how hard she was glaring. I need to be careful. Alastor knew he needed to be careful, not wanting to fuck around with Charlie at the moment. All he wanted her to do was just listen to him. “I know you want your princess back,” Alastor tried again, resulting Charlie in snarling as she was getting ready to attack him. “If you dare attack me, you will never see Vaggie again,” Alastor threatened, causing Charlie to pause at the words. He knows where Vaggie is. He threatened her safety! The Princess of Hell wanted to shred Alastor into pieces for threatening Vaggie’s safety but she knew she wouldn’t be able to find her without his help, and Charlie growled softly, knowing the Radio Demon that she wasn’t going to be a threat to him for the moment.
Charlie calmed herself to the point that her demon form had disappeared for the time being. “What do you want?” She asked, not willing to sacrifice Vaggie for anything. She didn’t want Alastor to get any ideas, and that was why she was giving in peacefully. Ever since she calmed down, everyone knew that the ground had stopped rumbling and receiving cracks in it. Angel Dust looked at Charlie, and he could see the hopelessness in her eyes. She gave in to make sure he won’t hurt Vaggie. He clenched his fists, hoping Alastor would be fair towards Charlie. Charlie’s life revolved around Vaggie, and Angel Dust knew Charlie wouldn’t be who she was without the reason for her life being around her. “I’d do anything to keep Vaggie safe,” Charlie said, needing to know that Vaggie was safe.
Alastor sneered at the Princess of Hell, knowing he had found emotional bonds to be a weakness for a reason. “You’re supposed to be the future Queen of Hell, and you’re groveling over some pathetic girl,” Alastor scoffed at the sight, making Charlie’s anger towards him increase even further. However, because she made sure she didn’t transform, Alastor figured Charlie ignored what he had said, and he merely shrugged his shoulders.
Angel Dust was relieved Alastor didn’t decide to check to see if Charlie had heard him, knowing he couldn’t handle Charlie having another breakdown due to Alastor fucking with her on purpose. The fucker knows what he’s doing. And Angel Dust hated it. He couldn’t help Charlie for the time being, forcing himself to watch the interaction between her and Alastor. “The Princess needs to give him one good punch,” he heard Husk behind him, and even though Angel Dust didn’t turn around, he did acknowledge him with a small hum. “I can’t blame her for being worried. He’s not telling her shit,” Husk wanted to help Charlie gain new information from Alastor but he knew Alastor wouldn’t take too kindly for him wanting to help her out.
“He’s making sure she won’t do that by threatening Toots beforehand,” Angel Dust looked over at Husk, who started to glare at Alastor even harder. When Charlie explodes, I will root for her. Angel Dust wanted Charlie to have the chance to beat the living shit out of Alastor. I need to figure out who Alastor managed to get to grab Toots. Angel Dust didn’t have any idea about who could have done it. He automatically ruled the Vees out of it, knowing Vox wouldn’t willingly help Alastor. Someone made a deal with him. Angel Dust knew he was using his experience from being with Valentino but he found Alastor’s sudden overconfidence extremely frustrating and extremely familiar. His eyes narrowed at the red-clad Overlord. “He made a recent deal with someone,” he guessed to Husk, causing him to nearly choke on his spit.
“How did you figure that?” Husk would have known if Alastor had made a deal, and to his horror, he realized why Alastor wouldn’t tell him. Right. If it deals with the Princess, he keeps it away from me and Nifty. Husk’s eyes narrowed at the feeling he had gotten. Who willingly makes a deal with him without needing to fear losing their soul? Husk wanted to find the brave piece of shit that knew what to say to not have to put their soul up as a bargaining chip. I wonder who made a deal with Alastor that meant that they could help him out without fearing for their safety? Husk wanted to solve the mystery, knowing that many demons avoided making deals with Overlords because it meant becoming their slaves if they weren’t careful.
Loona and Octavia looked at each other when the ground had finally stopped rumbling and causing cracks. What the fuck? Loona knew someone was trying the Princess of Hell’s temper because she knew that her temper tantrum was even worse than the first one. Who is trying the Princess of Hell’s rage because they were seriously pissing her off? Loona looked over at Octavia, who couldn’t even look shocked at what was happening. “Do you have any idea of what’s happening to her?” She wondered if Octavia knew what was going on.
“I only know it’s her anger. I know nothing else,” she told her, and Loona knew she could trust Octavia, seeing that the owl teenager was looking just as concerned as she was. I wonder what is making her so angry? Octavia wondered if she should reach out to Charlie, even though it had been years since she had last seen the Princess of Hell in person. “I will talk to Dad about meeting with her. Whatever it is, it has to be serious for us to feel her rage throughout Hell,” she noted and Loona nodded her head.
Neither of them liked what was happening but they only wanted to figure out what was going on. She’s raging for a reason. Loona knew that the Princess of Hell was a peaceful demon so the fact that she was causing such a ruckus was very concerning to her. “Doesn’t she have a girlfriend? Did someone kidnap her?” Loona guessed, and Octavia looked over at Loona before pulling out her phone, calling the Princess of Hell, wanting to help her out. Octavia didn’t like how Charlie’s anger affected the grounds of Hell, and she was sure Charlie didn’t like it either but she couldn’t think straight at the moment.
“Fuck. She’s not answering my calls,” she told Loona, who breathed out heavily.
“Guess I’m going to be meeting the Princess of Hell today,” Loona knew it was none of her business but Octavia was invested, and wherever her little sister went, Loona was going as well. After all, she had to keep Octavia safe from harm.
***
Loona and Octavia started their journey to look for Charlie, knowing that the young woman’s anger was helping them find her. She’s so angry. Loona’s fur was standing on end as she found herself wanting to hide until it was over but she knew she couldn’t do that, especially when Octavia was determined to help Charlie out. I need to stop feeling afraid but all I feel is fear. Loona knew this was her first time experiencing the ruling family of Hell’s rage, and Loona knew she didn’t want to feel it ever again. Octavia slipped her hand in hers, and Loona looked over at her little sister. “Thank you,” she didn’t bother to play tough, knowing she was fucking terrified.
She never had to deal with such rage before, and now that Loona had experienced it, she never wanted to feel Charlie lose her shit. If that is her rage, then I would hate for her to lose control over her emotions. Loona couldn’t help but bristle at the thought. Whoever pissed her off needs to be killed. The Hellhound thought with a scowl on her face. Octavia holding her hand was helping her fear decrease but she wanted to help Charlie calm down completely so she wouldn’t be completely losing her shit any longer.
When Loona and Octavia finally found Charlie, she was back in her demon form, and her rage felt even stronger because Alastor managed to increase the amount of anger she had been feeling.
“Fucking Alastor!” They heard someone growl out at the red-clad demon, causing Octavia to pause at the sight of the Radio Demon. The Radio Demon? Octavia wanted to know why the Radio Demon was purposely pissing off Charlie. Making her angry isn’t smart. It is not smart at all. Octavia wondered why Alastor was even doing it in the first place.
“Who are you two bitches?” Another demon noticed them, and Loona growled at the word being used towards Octavia.
“Loona,” she lightly scolded, causing Loona to stop growling as she quietly apologized to Octavia. “Of course, they would be suspicious of new demons. Look at what’s happening…” She reminded Loona of the Radio Demon purposely making Charlie see red. When Loona focused back on Alastor and Charlie, Loona’s ears folded flat against her head, wanting to do something to help.
“Who is she missing?” Loona questioned the two demons that were looking at her and Octavia with shock in their eyes.
“Her girlfriend got kidnapped and that jackass is refusing to tell her who made a deal with him. I know he gave the person the chance to grab her,” the spider demon responded as he glared at the Radio Demon. “I can’t wait for Charlie to feel the urge to kill him,” he added as an afterthought, wanting Charlie to destroy Alastor.
