Your Idol is an interactive, choice-heavy, idol management game that merges story, visual, romance, and idol raising playstyle into something that is both darkly captivating and delightfully sweet. 

STORY

You’re a half-demon, a favourite of the demon king, and now, a manager of a demon boy band. Deemed as the most suitable fit—wholly due to being the only demon the king allows to roam the human world freely—you’re not only forced to look after the band and make sure they succeed, but also tasked with keeping a special eye on them to make sure they don’t stray. After all, he needs this to succeed perfectly so he can consume fans’ souls and regain his power. 

It was never supposed to be a simple job. However, after a reunion with a childhood friend—a demon huntress and idol who directly opposes your goal—everything becomes much more complicated. 

Manage your idols, train them, organise their schedules, and make sure they succeed. All the while, form unlikely connections, rekindle friendships, share feelings, and build towards your ideal future… with whoever and whatever that might be, 

Who will you side with in the end? Will you accomplish your task, or will you sabotage it, whether unintentionally or intentionally? Who will be your idol?

CHARACTERS 

- SAJA BOYS -

Jinu

Assertive, creative and cocky, Jinu is the leader of the Saja Boys and the one who proposed the idea of making a demon boy band. As such, he is the one who roped you into this job. 

You’ve heard it from the king himself: he is someone who does everything with only himself in mind. In exchange for erasing the memories that have haunted Jinu since his death, he will provide the demon king with souls to feed on and get rid of the huntresses. 

Abby

Fun-loving, confident, bold, and charismatic, Abby loves the attention that is given to him by fans and isn’t afraid to lean into the public perception of him for fun. He never shies away from challenges and is quite talkative. 

Out of all the Saja Boys, the king had told you, he enjoys playing the role of a human idol the most, but he is also the one who shows the least desire to go back to his human life.

Romance

Flirty and charming, Romance fits the image of a dreamy, soft-hearted prince. He’s easy to talk to, likes to play around, and wears his emotions on his sleeves. Maybe it’s because of how open he is with his own emotions, but he is surprisingly empathetic and can easily pick up on others' feelings. It’s difficult to know what to make of him. 

Apparently, from what the demon king told you, he is quite emotionally intense and doesn’t form attachments easily, but when he truly wants something, he will do anything to get it.

Mystery

As the lead vocalist, Mystery has a distinct voice that is uniquely his. Like his name, he is far from easy to decipher at first glance. He prefers to be a quiet observer, keeping to himself most of the time. However, that doesn’t mean he never speaks. You find that he can be quite… strange.

When you asked the demon king about him, he told you that he’s not only the easiest to please, but also the most open out of everyone.

Baby

Seemingly adorable and sweet, Baby puts on a mask when on stage. He’s the rapper of the group with a personality and voice that are the exact opposite of his appearance. When off-stage, he’s quiet, cool, and indifferent, acting like nothing is ever worth caring about. Out of everyone, he’s the hardest to approach. 

You don’t know why, but the king calls him smart and seems to favour him.

- HUNTR/X -

Rumi

Ambitious, hardworking, and friendly, Rumi is the lead vocalist of the famous idol group, HUNTR/X. She has a big heart, always caring for her friends and trying to keep a positive attitude to keep them motivated. Due to her role, she is under a lot of pressure and tries to keep her flaws hidden. 

Just like you, she hides a secret that she cannot afford to reveal. 

Mira

As the visual and lead dancer, Mira is rebellious, blunt, and spirited. She’s the black sheep of her traditional family and is unafraid to push boundaries. Unlike how she may seem, she is highly perceptive and attuned to others' feelings. However, she can also be highly sceptical and finds it hard to trust people at first, but once she does, she never lets go. 

Despite her success in HUNTR/X, the shadows of her past continue to haunt her.

Zoey

Not only is Zoey the maknae and rapper of HUNTR/X, but she is also an old friend you made when you took a trip to Burbank a few years back. She’s always striving to keep peace and trying to solve conflicts. Bright, bubbly, and energetic, she holds the group together, and while she can be naïve at times, she always offers irreplaceable ideas.

As a Korean-American, she is trying to figure out what that means and where she belongs. She constantly feels like an outsider and struggles with her own identity.

Even when meeting with everyone, when you try to talk to him, he straight up ignores you. But the good thing is that some of his skills increase to ~65 by itself (but you can’t raise it,, it’s basically frozen for you)

There’s a lot of ways I think. The easiest way is if you’re romancing him. As long as your affinity with him is high enough and you made the choices that showed him you love him & don’t push him away + love him as he is, he wouldn’t sacrifice himself.

@amnesia789 Sure, I can agree that some characters are written well (like Jinu, Baby, and the Huntr/x girls) but Abby and Romance is not it. They fall into cliche archetypes… the romantic, flirty, playboy one… the hot, himbo, buff one, etc. And that’s all there is. They’re very shallow.

ACTUALLY the whole point of the game is about‌ hiding who you are and the mask that people put on for the world, especially idols 😭 They’re SUPPOSED to appear shallow because it’s an ACT! If you play their route, you’ll realise, like every single other character, they are more than they appear. They’re just better at hiding compared to the others.

And when Rumi is offering her life to Celine, you can take the chance to shoot her down if you manage to steal/borrow one of Zoey’s blades (im not sure if every weapon can work since I only tried killing her with Zoey’s). If you manage to one-shot her without revealing yourself, congrats, Celine is shocked and you either can run away or Celine will try to kill you ^^ If you don’t manage to kill her instantly + reveal yourself, the expression on Rumi’s face as she turns around is so angstyy.

She looked so vulnerable and scared that they’ll reject her, but at the same time, if they do reject her because of what she told them(and they haven’t told her about their own condition as a half-demon), she reacts like she expected it. I LOVE friends-to-lovers troupe and they did it so well with Zoey! The yearning! The omg-i-get-to-see-you-again-after-all-these-years! The slow realisation that it’s not just platonic love but romantic! The denial of feelings! The ability to choose to ignore the feelings to protect what you have and then being jealous&hurt when she shows interest in one of the Saja Boys! On that note, can I just say I love how you can choose to be jealous and act on that jealousy in this story?? I haven’t seen much of that before cause it’s always the LI being jealous.

Why am I only knowing now that you can enemy to lovers with Mira??? I mean I always knew that the hunters counted as ‘enemies’ since we’re the manager of a demon boy band and their goal is to exterminate us, but like– cuz we’re Zoey’s friend, right?? So I thought that despite the fact they’re our ‘enemies’, they always treat you very friendly and un-enemy like??? But today years old, I learnt that you can indeed have a hate to love enemy to lovers relationship with MIRA?!

lololol iirc mira isn’t the only one you can have some form of an enemy to lover relationship with. You can also have quite a snarky rival-ish relationship with Jinu at first where both of you are fighting over the ‘leadership’ position. You can also one-sided hatred for Romance(but he keeps flirting with you) that can foster into love. There’s also a bit of hate/love banter in the middle of Baby’s romance route.

Just it sometime blacks out
Or strange cutscenes that flash
CGs suddenly distorting
The music being all weird sounding
&sometime the game just freezes :(
