Summary:

after the war, leo and jason finally settled down, living at camp. They share everything together.

but, there's still something leo hasn't opened up about..

Notes:

yo so uh, this was written during lessons so please excuse the horrible writing. I was planning to upload this earlier but ended up in the hospital. Ao3 curse cant catch me yet.

Ill try my best to update regularly but I am very unreliable when it comes to that.

also, PLEASE READ THE TAGS!!! I cannot stress this enough, please be safe and do not read if any tag triggers you.

Some context as well before you start reading:

Leo was placed on Calypsos island but things didn't go well, as you'll see later. He didn't go rescue her after he died so he got back after two weeks.

After the war, Frank and Hazel went to camp Jupiter, Piper and Shel went to live in their own apartment and Percy and Annabeth decided it was time to take a long break from demigodly business. Leo and Jason were alone so, as things go, they got together.

have a wonderful day :D

Chapter Text

As the sun fell down and the cabins settled down for the night, Leo found himself resting on his lovely -and very comfortable- boyfriend, Jason, his hands running through Leo's curls.

Piper, who was basically a sister to him, had taught him how to manage his dark brown, tangled knots, making them much easier to work with.

Bunker nine was warm today, Leo's pyrokinesis being the main reason for this. No matter what, he was always above 100°F (37.8°C). Jason however, was always freezing. They were like fire and ice.

Looking up at his partner, Leo admired Jason's short, blonde hair, his azure blue eyes -shining as always- and his baby blue glasses that rested gently on his nose.

Holy Hephaestus, he was beautiful. Hadn't he always been?

By far however, Leo's favourite thing about Jason had to be his hands. They were so calloused yet so soft, so scarred yet so gentle. They were kind and would never hurt Leo. Unlike the other hands he had been dealt in his life.

Suddenly, Leo's body tensed, a sick feeling brewing in his stomach. Gods, he hated this feeling. It normally only happened when he was alone, back on the Argo II. Those long...dreary nights in the engine room, trying to ignore the thoughts of his old foster homes.

How lonely he was in the engine room of the Argo II, everyone else sleeping peacefully while he was trying to stop crying in fear of waking them all up. That was the day he made sure the engine room was completely soundproof. He hated bothering his friends.

Leo's mind flashed back to his childhood, the never ending running he did. He could never breathe, not really. He was on his toes daily. While other kids his age were worrying about getting to the swings first at recess, he was wondering if he was able to eat the next day.

His train of thought was cut off by Jason's hand freezing in place in his hair.

"Leo, my love, are you okay?"

"Im fine superman. Why?" Leo shrugged it off, using the nickname that came so naturally to him.

"Your eyes looked sad, do you want to talk?'

"Its nothing important Jason, dont worry."

"Leo, you're shaking, and your hands are sparking. You seem really worried. Please, what's going on?"

he was what? looking down at his hands, he noticed the small, white flashes happening ever so often. He quickly shook his hands, burying them into his fireproof jeans.

"Its really nothing Jason."

"Leo, please. I can tell when youre lying. Besides, it seems like its really bothering you. I want to help please."

"....are you, you wont judge me, right? Like you won't start laughing in my face and tell me im overreacting, right?"

"Of course not." Jason spoke, moving one of his hands to gently hold Leo's.

"..have I ever told you about my childhood?"
