As she started to turn away, the female cadet - Lucy Tara, top of her class, five years in the Fleet, some issues with authority before joining the Pearl, prominent family connections - smiled at Kate. It struck her in part because Cadet Tara was beautiful, which she’d known from the pictures in her file but was more captivating in real life, but also because it looked sincere. Kind, even. Like she knew how nervous these first days on a new ship meeting new people could make Kate and wanted her to feel better.
She managed a smile in return before following Tennant out of the common room and down the hallway to the bunks.
Kate is an inspector with the Universe Fleet whose current assignment is a spaceship called the Pearl. In spite of herself, she finds herself getting attached to the crew of the Pearl - or, at least, one of the crew. Things get complicated when she gets a secondary assignment from the Commander of the Fleet herself.

Vi tried to protest, but was shot down as she uncomfortably sat back down on the couch helmet facing forward. Vi watched as the two omega’s quickly undressed Caitlyn in front of her as if she wasn’t there, “Oh fuck,” she thought to herself as she felt as though Caitlyn look directly at her and into her soul for a moment as she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand.
Caitlyn’s navy blue hair was still in a messy pulled back bun with some hair escaping the front and framing her face. She had muscular arms and a long torso. The omega undid her chest binding as her boobs were now out. The cleavage that she had shown earlier did not do them justice. Her long legs were toned, she had a cute little gap in between her top two teeth. Vi attempted to look away but found herself still watching.
