"I was just on the phone with Mori-sensei." Fukuzawa started, glancing at Atsushi, before closing his eyes. "He made up his mind on which member of the Agency is going to be transferred to the Port Mafia."
Atsushi tensed. A member of the Agency, transferred to the Port Mafia? Since when was that ever stated? Atsushi didn't even know about this until now, and he felt even more unnerved.
Tanizaki's lips slanted into a thin line, a crease forming between his brows. "...Who?" he questioned.
Fukuzawa's eyes fluttered open and zeroed in on Atsushi, as if staring into his soul.
"Atsushi."
He was transferred over to the Port Mafia?
He was going to be a member of the Port Mafia?
He had to commit crimes and go against his own morality?
Or-- Atsushi is the one who is transferred to the Port Mafia, challenging his morality and his purpose. At the same time, Akutagawa's lung disease was progressively getting worse and left him with only a few months left.

They were standing amongst the shards of broken glass when they were first faced with the story, eyes impossibly wide as they stared at the faces they knew so well, now placed under the label of terrorists.
His name is Nakajima Atsushi, but Junichiro wishes he didn’t know that at all. Partly because he didn’t get to find out for himself - he didn’t manage to get his act together and finally approach him, as he always dreamed of doing during those long shifts. Mainly, though, he doesn’t want to because he sees how much he’s changed because of the events at the end of the world, and it hurts, even for an outsider like him to witness.Or: the sort-of canon divergence, sort-of coffee shop AU that no one asked for, but everyone (read: the author) needs.

Summary
Atsushi and Akutagawa reconvene after the Decay of Angels saga, training under Dazai’s watchful eye. Things are different between them, and although Atsushi doesn't quite know how to address the whole "dying for each other" thing, it doesn't feel right to go back to their old hostility either. Although things are occasionally tense between reunited mentor and mentee Dazai and Akutagawa, the duo is making solid improvements. They even start bonding outside of training, and Atsushi finds that he's fascinated by the glimpses he gets into the softer side of Akutagawa. However, after a training incident, everything changes, and it's up to Atsushi to close the distance between himself and his unusual partner.

It started with hair dye.
It ended with their past getting brought forth for them to see once more.
Izuku Kanno, known as Izuku Midoriya, made the world think he was born on the outskirts of Yokohama and raised as an orphan among children in an orphanage. At the time, only one had caught his eye; Atsushi Nakajima. Unfortunately, as soon as they met, he'd been adopted by a woman he proudly called mother, Inko Midoriya.
Denki Kaminari, grudgingly known as Denki Mori among mafiosos who'd met him before his escape, had known what it was to be raised at the center of Yokohama, smack dab in the middle of its largest criminal organization. Six years after he was brought into the cruelty of the Port Mafia, he successfully ran away.
Those stories were years ago.
Now out of nowhere, there are six ability users grouped up in a house in Musutafu, while three others, themselves included, reveal themselves to be ability users too. There's no way it's all a coincidence.
Now to hope UA and the hero society don't find out... but if they do, good for them.
This can only end badly after all.

There’s leather straps over the edge of the table, and a sheet covering the tools on the side table. I can guess whatever's coming isn’t going to feel good, and considering there isn’t any machine in this room I think the only exam I’m going to get is physical and un-anesthetized.
Elise appears next to me and I don’t know how long she’s been standing there but she giggles and takes my hand before skipping to the exam table faster than I would’ve dragged my feet.
I’m thinking about what’s probably going to happen, it’s not looking good. Realistically? My heads gonna be bald when I walk out- if I walk out of here on my own two feet- and I’m going to have a new refined definition of the word torture.
So far my #1is regrowing my eyes, a pretty strong contender all things considered. And! Your brain can’t feel pain! So besides cutting through my skull with what is starting to look like a bone saw, it won't hurt too much.
