She had a secure place to live, she had protection, food, luxury and a husband, kind of. To her, it was all how it was seen, she lived in a palace but she was not allowed to leave. She was given food, clothes and luxury as long as she behaved. She had protection in the same way a prisoner would be protected in their prison. And she had a husband but she was technically not a wife, she was a slave or better yet a whore for her ‘husband’s’ pleasure.
