He paid the ultimate prize for his bravery...
..almost.
Because the final cordsong wasn't sung for Neteyam's memory.
It was sung for the battle that ended.

A fight for survival, that is what the war on Pandora is. Earth is dying, war is sparked to life and, on Pandora, the destructive ways of the desperate sky-people threaten everything on Pandora.
Death is everywhere, there is no room for peace, hope or understanding. Yet, it persists in the smallest of pockets.
The Sullys have fled, Spider is captured, the Na'vi fight a hopeless war, and the RDA destroys on and on and on.
Lives are shattered, bonds are broken, love and hate intertwine.

“NETEYAM!”
Nia jumped, causing the knife to slip from her hand. The Mauri became utterly silent. The only sound that continued was the thumping of Tuk’s tail as the young girl slept. Jake stared at Neytiri, gun still in hand from polishing the exterior. Lo’ak and Kiri looked at each other, lost for words. Nia looked into Neytiri’s eyes before looking away, sliding over the knife and the rest of the yovo fruit over and slowly began making her way to the hut’s entrance. Jake stood from his spot.
“Nia wait—“
“I may look like him…” the girl’s voice quavered. She balled up her fist, and took a deep breath before saying:
“But I am not him..” she finished. And as she turned around, her eyes was filled to the brim with tears, ears flattened. Nia looked at Neytiri, and sprinted off. All ears flickered towards Kiri, who scoffed.
“How could you do that!?!” The young teen got up, and ran after the young girl.

Nia Jaxx, just turned 16, fresh out of Brooklyn, New York and into a new location she had never heard of before. It was a secluded city plastered in the middle of Hawaii, hidden from the world. Nia didn’t understand this, but this was where her and her parents were going to be living at for the next 20 years. Nia was a loner, didn’t have friends in NY, and knew for a fact she wasn’t gonna have any in this new place, but her world gets rocked when her gaze falls upon the most gracious and beautiful girl she had ever seen in her life. The family was beautiful too. The only problem is, this family is a target of the RDA Military force that she had no clue her parents were involved in.
What will happen when Nia finds out about this? What will she do when she is placed between a rock and a hard place and is indecisive about telling the girl of her dreams and her family that their world is about to be shattered?
Will she be safe from her own parent’s wrath?
Will she be seen as a threat as well?
Will…the newly love of her life look at her the same?

“Jakesully,” one of them called, “Is the tawtute going to be ok?”
Jake took a deep breath. Beside him, Spider had started laughing to himself, displaying his rotten teeth and Jake felt sick again to see how bad Spider’s physical state was.
“No.”
No, Spider was not going to be ok. And there was a high chance he might never be ok again. But one thing was certain, he wasn’t going to abandon him a second time.

Since arriving at Awa’atlu, Tuk has enjoyed learning as much as she can about the Metkayina’s way of life.
From learning how to hold her breath to discovering how to collect shells from the ocean floor to catching her very first fish using a net – it has all been so much fun! Her favorite thing to learn so far was how to ride an ilu. The sleek water creatures are so cute and so sweet, and she loves being able to glide through the water on their backs.
Magical, beautiful, and amazing.
Tuk is sitting in front of Tsireya – the cool breeze coming off the ocean pulling at her sea grass top – as the older girl works on her hair.
They’re sitting on one of the long walkways that juts out of the village into the water. From their vantage point, they can watch as Tuk’s three older siblings learn how to spear fish with Ao’nung, Rotxo, and a few other Metkayina teenagers.
Or: Tuk and Tsireya spend some quality time together and Tsireya teaches the young girl some Metkayina traditions.

Neteyam wakes up alone on an unfamiliar beach, pink sand warm beneath him, the vibrant blue water swirling and glowing as it washes up on the shore. At first, he is confused. Then, he realizes he isn't alone. Just a short way down the beach, a human boy stands with wide eyes.
He isn't wearing an exopack.
With so many questions he want's to ask, Neteyam moves to stand, but the boy runs off in the opposite direction. Neteyam gave chase, easily catching up with the much shorter human.
Who knew that chasing after the boy would lead to a life he never could have imagined? Who knew that he would be given a second chance?
Neteyam refused to waste it. He wasn't going to get himself killed again. He was going to fight. For Eywa, for Pandora, for his family, and for his newfound love. The Sky People were still a threat to Eywa'eveng and he'd been tasked by the Great Mother herself to protect it.
The question is, will he be ready to face the dangers ahead?
Will he be willing to risk everything?
