Jonathan Sims reads a statement about one Arthur Lester that feels far too much like a man reaching into a different sort of wasp’s nest, (or like one is reaching into HIM) though, and curiosity truly is an awful sort of thing. He’s always been quite a moth to a flame, hasn’t he?
Or; AU in which Arthur and John are part of the TMA universe but everyone is in 1934 and things get Insectoid.

All things considered, Tim expected to be dead by now. There had been no real version of their plan, of stopping The Unknowing, that existed in his head that resulted in him walking out, alive and well. He had expected to die. It shouldn’t have surprised him that The Desolation had taken a keen interest in him.
It does surprise him, though, to find how much clarity it gives him in regard to Jon.

Not only that, but he never told Jon how he really felt about him. Now, he's afraid he'll never get the chance.
