If there's anything Ivy has gained from having to hide away her true personality, true darkness, it's the ability to sometimes tell when someone else is too. To pick up on that darkness behind someone's eyes, if they have any.
There is only one person in Ivy's department who seems to always be wearing a mask like her; and his name is Dexter Morgan.
She can see it in his eyes; the darkness that lingers, always trailing close behind him. He doesn't feel emotions, only presents them through practiced expressions and mannerisms. Although she'll admit he's good at it, she can see right through him, and it's clear he's hiding something, just like she is.
