Solace (Tav) met Halsin long ago in the Underdark, when they were both enslaved by Drow. He was a pleasure slave and she was the sole survivor of a fallen house. Now they've crossed paths again: an archdruid and the hero who might be Faerûn's salvation.
Solace's close friendship with Astarion is also explored here.
I've actually written over 70,000 words of this fanfic, spanning all three acts and beyond. The issue is that much of the chronologically earlier bits are the least fleshed out (I actually started by writing about events between the end of Act 3 and the Epilogue). I will need to either find reasonable ways to use larger timeskips, write a lot more, or insert some placeholder chapters to get to the bulk of the material I've written.
