There is no mistaking him. A man’s torso, broad shoulders and a surprisingly furry chest and abs, hips that break out in dazzling golden scales and give way to an impossibly long, thick tail. No horns, though. The Serpent’s hair is long, brown with a bronze luster to it, with charming cowlicks on either side. He can see how the silhouette of such a creature could seem like a horned monster. In the firelight, though, he’s glorious. It dances gleefully across his golden jewelry which somehow seems dull in comparison to his scales.
“Holy fucking shit,” Wade breathes.
The Serpent approaches.
“Are you gonna eat me?”
That seems to take the Serpent off guard. “Well…yeah.”Series

Or: Deadpool's hired to kill Peter Parker, former CEO of the now bankrupt Parker Industries, and Wade decides he better ask his trusted superhero crush Spider-Man—and Parker's former bodyguard—if his ex-boss really deserves a katana to the chest.
Things are much more complicated.
Spider-Man wanted to say something and make sure that corny line wouldn’t be the last one he heard, but his whole body felt like a bruise being pressed down. The man was opening his mouth to let out something evil and abnormally personal against Spider-Man, when a voice came down the dark alley.
“But the record keeps playing the same old song.” Spider-Man and the bad guy turned their heads to the mouth of the alley. They couldn’t see anyone, but the male voice sang on. “They say aha, aha. Keep your hands off my girl.”
Peter’s head thumped against the wall. “No. Just… no. Do me a favor, just crush my windpipe."

Don’t worry,” he says as he pulls one of the heavy doors open, “you’ll be able to visit whenever you want.”
He keeps the rest of his thoughts to himself: That the X-Men don't hate her, just her dad. That she'll have an open invitation, and he’ll be lucky to get supervised visitation rights. Assuming Logan wants those at all.

Bruce was gone for just over Four years yet, somehow it felt like an eternity.
The Avengers weren’t the same Avengers. His old team had split apart and, according to Tony, they weren’t even on track to reforming.
So then, where did that leave him?
The answer is simple.
It left him standing in front of the woman he deserted and the man he still loved after all those years. Of course, Tony just had to jump on a spaceship and leave him to deal with his old teammates all alone, what did he expect? He’d done him the same way after Ultron after all.
At least Natasha didn’t seem hurt anymore.
All he really had to worry about was his own lingering pain and guilt, which only seemed to increase when he looked into those familiar icy blue eyes and noticed the suffering that lay dormant behind them.
