“We gotta move on, to try and become whole again,” Steve had said to the traumatized civilians around him, lied through his fucking teeth. “We can’t stay in the past, we gotta move on.”
It wasn’t until this very moment, after they did the near impossible and actually won, returning everyone who was dusted back to life, that Steve realized the depth of his lie. He can’t move on, not when he has the Pym particles in his hands and the infinity stones in a specially designed briefcase – not when he has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fix his mistakes.

Another time-travel fix-it, where Steve returns the stones to their places at the end of Endgame, but can't leave Bucky in the hands of Hydra, not when he knows what will happen to him if he leaves him there. He decides to do something about it, and maybe discovers a few things about himself - and their relationship - along the way.

The only issue is Tony worried more than the average folk, and he also thought everything was always his fault. Peter keeps getting himself into trouble as per usual and Tony has to learn how to care in the right way. Which, he is finding impossible.

Five times Tony Stark is too emotionally constipated to say what he should so he keeps panic making peter omelettes, like that means anything. And one time Peter realises why he does it.

Spider-Man was everything that Peter Parker wanted to be. He was like a game of pretend and sometimes when the suit was on, he could pretend that nothing had changed. People recognized him with the suit, Spider-Man was remembered.
Peter Parker was not.
A little over a year had passed since his existence had been erased and he was building a life for himself. He was in his second semester of college, he had a job, his apartment could be worse. Things were okay. But still, he couldn't help but feel that he was existing outside of himself. He sometimes felt disconnected from his body and it only seemed to get worse when both new and old foes seem to be intent on taking him down, no matter the consequences.

TLDR: Bucky realises that Steve isn't coming home. And he can't do anything about it.
