Returning home after the trip to Hershey was a good feeling. Saying goodbye to Spencer had been… hard. But then it always was, and Buck knew it would always be a little difficult. But he and Spencer always made it work. It didn’t matter how far apart they were, Spencer was always a phone call away. Just one simple call away.
If Buck needed him then if there was one thing he knew it was that Spencer would come running, he always had before after all. The distance was annoying but it didn’t stop them from being as close as they always had been.

A lot could change in forty-eight hours. Whole worlds could be created and destroyed in forty-eight hours. Tommy could remember that he preferred to live alone, that having a roommate sucked, or that it was simply a bad idea to move so quickly. They weren’t just friends thinking they could make living together work, and Buck had lost friendships after living arrangements had gone to hell. He lost a lot of friends, in fact. It seemed like the surest way to end a friendship was to try living with your pal for six months. So was it better or worse that they were…not friends? Not just friends. More than friends? Friends who fucked? They didn’t really have time to talk about it because they napped after Tommy extended the invitation, then they fucked again, and then they ate and Tommy showered, and then he was gone, their time all used up.
