Furina broke her promise, Focalors' gambit failed and Fontaine is now half submerged within the Primordial Sea. Endless rain assaults the country while the waters show no signs of subsiding, and the Archon who had promised to give up her very life for the nation has seemingly decided to flee out of guilt and despair. But she will not be left to run from her sins, not while a grief-stricken Knave is still breathing.

Neuvillette’s judgement almost didn’t matter in the end, but his and the Oratrice’s had yet to differ once, even after four hundred years. Many marvelled over that fact and praised the Iudex’s sense of justice; because if he was always in agreement with a godly creation, then he must be right every time. Others called it a fraud and suspected that the Oratrice was built to always deliver the same judgement as his as a way to assert his authority.
Neuvillette did not see it that way. To him, it was clear that the Oratrice had a mind of its own. He’d even go so far as to say that the Oratrice had its own consciousness.
Or: What if Foçalors was constantly communicating with Neuvillette through unconventional ways?

Summary
10 years after Focalors' passing, Neuvillette is still coping with being the sole witness to her death. So much so, that he is avoiding Furina. Deep in the back of his mind, he does not want to become attached to anyone or anything that he could lose again. This is the story of how Neuvillette overcomes his emotional damage and eventually changes his views on living with his immortality, with the help of Wriothesley, a girl named Yexing (original character), and Zhongli. All humans eventually pass away, but that doesn't mean they cannot leave behind their mark.
“Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be reborn as a star.”
Neuvillette contemplates Yexing’s fantasy. “Hm, well I think it would be lonesome. The galaxies above are no place for a human, to be isolated and away from their family and kin. The job of a star is more suited for that of a god or an archon.”
