When the god Zagreus was killed their spirit was returned to the world in the mortal who would come to be known as Dionysus. This legacy is what is given to Perseus Jackson, more his father's son than he knows. In the midst of a conflict which spells the doom of the world as we know it, Perseus must bear the burden of being his father's child, the weight of redemption, and the heavy silence of those long since gone. This story is a retelling of the original Lightning thief book with new characters, new gods, and a refreshing mix of Riordan's original style along with the author's own.
