These two separate instances lead them to have more or less civil conversations, and they get to know each other a little more. Over time, their perception of each other changes, and soon sparks are flying.

Robin finds out Prince John is being the way he is only because he never learned to be different. Prince John realizes Robin is actually a likable person. They start to like each other.
