  Summary

  Histories are easily rewritten and forgotten, even when etched in skin. Amalthea Giddy has survived three wars, and the birth of The Wasteland, she has nursed and mothered and advised, she has cared and she has been callous. She has seen much and forgotten little, and what she has forgotten is immortalized in the pages of journals, one for every year.

  She chronicles the joys, the pain, the losses and the gains. She chronicles the names that Immortan Joe never so much as bothered to learn, and her own struggles with the harsh new reality that is horribly familiar to battlegrounds she has lived before. There are havens and horrors alike in a world forged by the fires of nuclear war, a world tempered in blood and gasoline.
