I will have to rectify that immediately.” With a flick of her wrist Uther is flung from the throne and off the dais into the crowd of courtiers who fill the room. Arthur gives a shout as he moves to help his father, but before he can move more than a step from his seat he is held back by some invisible force. Even Morgana had stood up in shock when Uther was thrown. Kethra gives Arthur a reprimanding look and Arthur stops struggling. The members of the court have already helped Uther back to his feet. Though the king cannot speak he is trying his best to scream at the goddess. “The ruler of this kingdom is in a pathetic condition. Camelot is under the dominion of the gods and shall be ruled by one worthy of her. Camelot shall be ruled by the strongest among you.”

I'm going to be honest I haven't actually finished merlin, but I'm new to the fandom and wanted to dip my toes into the fanfic side. I was inspired from the line in skyward sword and think it would be a cool explanation for Merlin being the chosen one. There will probably be more in this AU because I like the idea so much, but I just wanted to start simple. I haven't written in a while. I remember seeing a similar fic that inspired me, but now I can't find it for the life of me so thank you whoever you are.
