Izuku will do anything for attention. it might be a trauma response. He's spent his whole life being ignored. by his mother, by his teachers, and even by some police. The only attention he got was from bullies, which wasn’t the kind he preferred.
This is to say that when put in a safe environment, with parents who treated him well, and gave him good attention, with a boyfriend who gave him attention, Izuku quickly became obsessed.
and Kacchan has been at the stupid gym with stupid Kirishima for 2 stupid hours. He wants attention and the scent of Katsuki’s blood in the pendent around his neck is not helping.
