Summary
Some say the best revenge is happiness, but after a stinging breakup with a cheater, Diluc has his own idea on the question: the best revenge is, in fact, fake-dating a man tailored to make his ex mad.
Makes complete sense.
In the unexplored field of stellar fake-boyfriends, Kaeya checks all the boxes—and then some. Looks, brains, a sharp jawline only rivaled by his sharp eyeliner, and a heart of gold encased in a glorious cleavage; every parent worth their name wishes he were their son-in-law, and that makes him the best accomplice Diluc could have hoped to find for his petty plan. So good, even, that in other circumstances, he’d have been tempted to promote him.
However, Diluc’s heart has other plans for him. When the lines of their strange contract start to blur, rules folding one by one, he finds himself faced with the most convoluted problem he’s had to solve in his mathematician career: is it real, or is it all artifice?

Summary
He looked at Kaeya, confused. “Aren’t you upset?”
“Of course not.”
Albedo couldn’t understand why this man was not more panicked.
“Why not?”
Kaeya looked at him with his customary smile, but the words that left him were far from the answer Albedo had been expecting. “I doubt that a small amount of some alchemical serum is going to be able to coerce me, of all people, into saying anything I do not wish to say.”
Albedo blinked, the smile slipped off Kaeya’s face and they sat across from one another in shocked silence. Truly Albedo had not doubted the serum’s effectiveness, his science was rarely wrong, but seeing it manifest… in Kaeya of all people. Archons, he needed to start saying no when the knights asked him for these sorts of things.

Summary
Kaeya was not an emotional man. He did not let himself get close to anyone, for fear of repeating his mistake a third time. He'd been first abandoned by Khaenri'ah, and then once more by Mondstadt. Both times because he had been too honest, both because he had gotten too close. In the cold clutches of Snezhnaya, Kaeya now had a third chance. Where he could find closure on his previous life, and where he could begin anew.
When he recognizes Lord Tartaglia in Liyue during his escape to Snezhnaya, it is both a blessing and curse. On the one hand, this could be his best chance to learn the language and have an in with the Fatui so he could find some answers on his father's death, disappearing after. On the other, it signals to him that the Tsaritsa has plans for him, confirmed by the Vision now on his hip. He could be walking right into a trap laid out for him, walking into a plan made to ensnare him when he could simply keep walking and avoid all of it. When he ultimately decides to approach Tartaglia, he does so only to get what he needed and to leave without a trace.
Kaeya could never have known that the Harbinger would be his path to salvation.

Summary
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
She eyed him for a moment, then sighed. “I tried.”
“By not being very subtle and just saying we should go to the Cat’s Tail when we never go to the Cat’s Tail.”
“If I had looked you in the eyes and said, ‘Diluc Ragnvindr got back into town a few days ago and is the bartender tonight’ can you honestly tell me you wouldn’t have still come in here and tried to prove you weren’t afraid of him?”

Summary
“Why are you telling me all of this?”
“Well, part of it is for administrative reasons,” Varka admits. “But part of it is because, well…” He sighs, leaning back in the plush backing of his chair. “I’ve never had a son of my own, but you’re the closest thing I’ve got to one.”
Kaeya blinks, not entirely sure how to process such a statement. It’s not that he doesn’t believe it to be true—the fact of the matter is that ever since the night Crepus Ragnvindr died, Varka had taken Kaeya under his wing, given him a place to live, and more or less done all the other little things a parent might do for his child. And still, to hear it admitted aloud is quite a strange thing.
“What do I do now?” he asks, more to himself than anything else. “I have nowhere else to go.”

Summary
In an accident where the Chief Alchemist, Albedo, mixes up a substance that brings back one’s past body, Kaeya is caught in a whole lot of trouble.
(Kaeya’s younger self comes back and tries to kill him – luckily, he’s got Diluc on his side.)
KEY TIMELINE: The kid version of Kaeya is of him about a year after showing up at the Dawn Winery. Around when he was still forced to commune with Khaenri’ah and wishing he didn’t have to be born at all. The present Kaeya in this story is about 26, five years after Diluc came back from his four year journey. I’d also like to add that Diluc and Kaeya’s fight took place when Diluc was 18 and Kaeya was 17.

Summary
In the city of freedom, it was customary to wear one’s heart on one's sleeve – in quite the literal sense of the word.
Love was not something to be ashamed of, nor something that needed to be hidden away. Hiding one’s soulmark was not necessarily frowned upon – people from all corners of Teyvat visited Mondstadt after all, bringing along their own soulmark customs – but it was usually a clear indication of what archon said person worshipped.
In Liyue, soulmarks were considered to be more of a sacred thing, and were usually only shared with people one had already grown close to.
In Snezhnaya, showing off one’s soulmark in public was outright illegal, despite the Cryo archon being considered a goddess of love.
Kaeya didn’t know what Khaenri’ah’s policy on soulmarks had been in the past, but he did know for a fact he preferred to keep his own mark hidden.
He wondered if, had the people of Khaenri’ah not been cursed to never be able to see their own soulmarks, his views might have been different.
