And so Gepard turned his attention back to the girl in front of him, awaiting an answer like a puppy waiting for treats. He was good at on-the-spot thinking, but this time, he was drawing a blank. This was the seventeenth time she had asked him out since she started here, and he'd run out of ways to brush her off.
“Sorry, I have a boyfriend,” he said without thinking. His cheeks warmed once the gravity of what he had said set into him. The woman - Tamila, that was her name! - pouted and sulked away. Her eyes, however, betrayed her intentions of being the biggest gossip in Belobog.
When he thought about it, though, Gepard figured that the “news” he had a boyfriend (he did not) would stop every woman within ten feet of him from flirting. So maybe it wouldn’t be all bad. But still, he wasn’t gay.
