On the other side of the country, Ness meets another baseball bat swinging psychic. He’s still trying to get used to the whole “chosen hero” thing, and the new guy’s arrival only adds to the mystery.

How did they get to this moment again? Ness couldn’t.. Quite remember, if he was being honest with himself. It wasn’t long after defending their home from Giygas, that the small ragtag group of friends, found themselves thirsting for a new adventure. One that they didn’t quite understand the pull that lingered deep inside of their chests.
It was like a calling that Ness couldn’t properly explain. Couldn’t quite get the grasp or feel of. But it lingered in his chest, squeezing and circling his heart like a viper that was attempting to find and trap its prey. Was he prey at that moment? Or was he something akin to a sailor being tempted by a siren? He wasn’t certain of any of this.
