Sirius had a blank expression on his gorgeous face.
"I thought you don't sleep with men...He said you even kissed him after..You've never kissed me Sirius.." Remus said, tilting his head downwards. Tears spilled from his eyes.
"Remus stop being dramatic. It was a one time thing."
"STOP LYING!" Remus stood up, his eyes red and snot dripping from his nose. "THIS WASN'T THE FIRST GODDAMN TIME...Sirius, wasn't I good enough for you?"
He stepped closer to the shorter boy. Sirius didn't move an inch, staring back at Remus with no guilt or regret on his face.

A derivative/continuation of the tv series created by Rachael New...think Sherlock Holmes meets Veronica Mars. The series is set in Victorian London and follows plucky Eliza Scarlet, who takes over her late father's private detective agency. Facing resistance from the male-dominated world of detective work, she teams up with a detective inspector known as "The Duke" to solve various cases.
William and Eliza have become engaged, and a certain person from William's past along with a new missing persons case upend his very understanding of his origins, forcing him to come to terms with his past. After yet another work-related injury for William, Eliza gains perspective on life, love, and her ambitions. Together, they lean on each other (and Ivy) to face their fears and allow their relationship to strengthen and blossom.

An idea placing a part of Alexander Anderson's usually very blurry backstory into the context of late sixteenth-century Scotland and the complexities of James' reign, his difficulties in getting his marriage settled, and the Scottish Reformation. Every character in this story is a specific imagining of a real historical person (aside from Anderson himself). Contains Middle Scots dialogue. I may eventually write more of this, if I can figure out some kind of solid plot for it.
