His mission leads to long buried secrets, lies, and a splinter group branded as heretics by the Jedi. Everything Anakin has believed in is overturned, but he might just find new purpose and love in the process.

He was special. He had never been hers to begin with. Letting him go was never a choice— never hers, anyhow.
Maybe that was why, when the young man proclaiming to be an ex-Jedi had shown up at her door not a month later, she had let him in. Maybe it was why, when she had finished listening to his story, to his request, she had refused.
