John just wants things to go back to the way they were, and Sherlock thinks things will never be the same. While John and Sherlock struggle to find balance in their lives, a new villain rises. It would seem Moriarty's network isn't as dead as Sherlock was led to believe. He knew Sherlock was going to survive the fall, and he intended to make good on his promises. He is going to burn the heart out of Sherlock Holmes.
This is heavily inspired by the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle books. Of course, I did take some creative liberties similar to how the BBC series did it.

He was stuck in some random muggle town, in the middle of a time crisis because apparently that ritual he was forced into wasn't just a simple transmutation ritual, it was a time ritual, and he's gone back almost what...fifty years? Hopefully he won't be dragged to Hogwarts for school (than again if the way that man was staring at him was any indication, he would be dragged forcibly to a muggle school instead...perhaps Hogwarts is preferable?) it was bad enough that he had apparently been dropped by a dead corpse, and now these idiots thought that he was an untimely victim of some cult.

Summary
Together, John and Sherlock have quite a history, a journey, a life. The story begins post Season 4 (selective parts of it, anyway) and will move forward as they realise their desires and yearnings, as they make peace with where they have been - and where they are going.
Literal meaning: things that are desired, based on prosaic *Desiderata* by Max Ehrmann, written in 1929, encourages readers to live peacefully and honestly while staying grounded amid life's distractions. It advises maintaining dignity, avoiding bitterness, and appreciating the beauty in both the world and oneself. The poem ultimately offers a message of hope, resilience, and quiet strength.
The poem is included in its entirety is in chapter 1, with a correlating story. Subsequent chapters, grouped to tell a single story line, will incorporate a snippet of the piece.
The final chapter will include a bit of the backstory of the poem and Mr. Ehrmann's career.
