Summary
While already dealing with a faulty Sheikah Slate that’s been using him as a powerhouse since the Sheikah Towers sunk back into the earth, Link has been waking up in a trance-like state in the middle of the night.
A tugging sensation pulls him to the West of Hyrule, prompting him to discover what greater purpose lies beyond his completed heroics. Here, a voice tells him to ‘join them’… but who?
And when he does find them, how is he supposed to easily move with their already established dynamic as the odd man out? How is he supposed to endure such a new change in life?

Just as the champion starts to greet him, Wolfie’s ears suddenly perk up and his head tilts curiously as he nudges his face into Wild’s stomach, sniffing around Wild’s waist in confusion.
“Uhh, what are you doing there, Wolfie..?” Wild asks slowly, holding out his hand to try and deter the wolf, however that doesn’t stop him as he tries to figure out what’s going on. He smells something, Wild knows that, but he can’t figure out what it could possibly be that’s puzzling his companion so much.

Wild offered no reply, instead flickering his gaze to Time’s for a split second before returning downwards. Accepting it as the best of Wild’s replies were ever going to come, Time had also been aware of Wild’s off behavior from early on.
“Would you care for some company?” Time continued.
Wild’s silence carried on, save for the clink of the glass bowl that he had placed in front of Time.

It’s been long enough, he’s waited long enough. He can’t run from it forever, and Wild knew. Yet, he desperately tried to extend that wait of recalling as much as he could. And yet, he took today as a sign. Because if he didn’t get into it, then he was never going to do so, and the anchor was going to sink deeper and deeper as he went on.
He was getting tired of that weight on him.

When Link had first touched down after getting a lay of the land (and finding himself no less lost,) he hadn’t given much thought to the appearance of the boys who had gathered below him. There was a lot of green, but perhaps it was just a common style in this area. He was no stranger to entire towns sharing fashion choices, with the mushroom-filled Hateno being only the latest example. So he’d hardly given it a thought, with the small exception of a feeling of familiarity as his eyes quickly passed by a child in a blue shirt. It wasn’t until he spotted the boy who, frankly, stood out in the group of Hylians like a sheep in a cucco pen that he truly took note of these strangers. Link could hardly be more familiar with that red hair, tufted tail, oddly-shaped legs, and intense blue eyes. This man was, without a doubt, the hero of 10,000 years ago.
