Jim Moriarty was supposed to die on the roof of St. Bart's hospital. He had the perfect plan. Sherlock Holmes would fall, and he would fall with him. There was only one problem: he did not account for the fact that he was a fucking coward.
In which Jim Moriarty returns to London after his fake suicide to find a broken, grieving Sherlock Holmes...and then they try again.

Summary
Two years after his fall, Sherlock Holmes returns to London from his mission to destroy Moriarty's web. He expects things to fall back to how they were before relatively quickly, but to his dismay, John has left the UK to work with Doctors Without Borders half a year earlier, and doesn't return when he's supposed to. Someone else seems to also have left his grave, leaving Sherlock to pick up the pieces and try to put them back together. But is it still possible, or are some things gone forever?

Summary
Sherlock and Katrina established a friendship (and then some) whilst he was pronounced legally dead. That evolves into something more when he comes back to London, and their friendship with John Watson is tested. But there are much more important issues at hand: a wedding, Magnussen, and one big mistake for Sherlock and Katrina. Thus, the game of favours takes pause. Sherlock/OC. Slowburn of actual romance, but Sherlock does indulge in other ways that's still in character.
Part two of a trilogy. Year 2 Post-Reichenbach Fall. Plenty of changes to series 3. Rated M for discussion of mental health issues, alcoholism, drug use, and some sexual content.

One night at the pub, everything changes when a "stranger" in a bathroom offers a solution to all of her problems that's just crazy enough it might work.

John Watson is an ex-army trauma surgeon turned A&E doctor. He knows how to stop a bleed, how to restart a heart, how to bring someone back from the edge. He works long hours in fluorescent-lit corridors where everything is urgent and nothing is quiet. It keeps his hands busy. It keeps him moving.
But there’s no emergency procedure for what comes after Sherlock Holmes. No protocol for the kind of silence that follows. Grief doesn’t respond to pressure, or sutures, or CPR. It just sits with him. In the walls of the flat, in the clouded edges of memory, in the things he didn’t say when it might have mattered.
He saves lives by night and loses sleep by day, drifting through London’s streets with too much whiskey in his system and too many ghosts at his back. Sherlock is dead. John knows that. Some nights, it doesn’t feel like enough of an explanation.
