Summary
The newly restored Warrior of Light comes out of retirement only to be immediately laid low by the Ascian Fandaniel. Jacinthe and Hezzwyb carry on in Lauden's absence; The Gunbreaker recovers and the three Warriors of Light are briefly united, only for Jacinthe to be brought down by an unexpected death. Lauden and Hezzwyb soldier on, saving the star and returning home victorious. Lauden foregoes the victory celebrations, opting to spend her time with the recovering Jacinthe. The Warriors of Light mourn their loss, and ponder how it could be that they are both shards of Azem.

He had not asked, just gently pushed her to the side. She did not stop him, “I’m fine.”
“You-” he sounded breathless too at least, “Are with child. A healer’s job on the battlefield is hard enough keeping one alive, let alone two.”
“What?”
“Did you not know?” This thought seemed not to have occurred to him before, and he blushed a stark red against the snow.

the Warriors of Light have vanquished the embodiment of Despair and now the last of their dues is called in as Zenos demands his long-awaited rematch. Damaia has no interest in satisfying the desires of a depraved blood-lusted beast like Zenos. Myles on the other hand? he is more than eager to see this duel to it's conclusion. no collateral, no witnesses, no limitations.
and so the Warrior of Light lets all pretenses fall to the wayside, and no doubts remain at Journey's End.

Her grip on Emet-Selch’s hair tightens. She hears his shuddering breaths, feels his walls tighten around her.
"I wonder…" Rowan leans in close, holding his head in place as her lips reach his ear. "What would the Convocation think, if they knew the current occupant of the Third Seat was nothing more than a desperate, slavering whore?"
His walls flutter and clench around her. Emet-Selch slaps a hand tight over his mouth, half out of mortification, and half to smother the downright shameful sound he makes.
Rowan chooses that moment to begin thrusting again.
Late one Elpis evening, Emet-Selch enters the Warrior of Light’s bedchambers looking for a fight, and exits with a limp.
