Summary
After finally escaping The Cage together with Michael, dying again, and then being brought back by Jack with the rest of humanity, Adam should have been able to finally be happy. He should have woken up with his angel inside his head, but reality was not that kind.
He just can't accept that Michael is gone. With little choice but to live with Sam and Dean now that everything and everyone he loved has been ripped out of his hands, Adam devises a plan to get Michael out of the Empty so they can be together again.
Of course, nothing is ever that easy with the Winchesters around, and things don't quite go according to plan.

After numerous phone calls and visits from Sam, Denver gradually developed feelings for him. However, after some time, the calls ceased, and so did the visits. Over the following years, Denver became increasingly angry with the Winchesters, especially Sam.
