Life at the Dallas Fire Department is annoying, frustrating, and stressful. And that's just Cruz's partner. "Their neural network isn't just communication. It's… understanding. True understanding. To merge with another being, to feel what they feel-" He trailed off, his fingers grazing the edge of the console.
"You make it sound so mystical. It's just a biological function, Viktor." Jayce replied.
Viktor scoffed, lightly leaning himself back into his chair, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Yes, and a sunrise is just light refraction, and love is just a series of chemical reactions, hmm?" Viktor waved his hand at Jayce as his elbow rested against the cold table.OR
