The more you scar, the less lovable you are. You're rough and jagged and broken inside-out, your heart-fractures and skin-splits exposed for all the world to see.The class love Aizawa-sensei more for his scars, and Izuku is confused.
Not because he hates Aizawa-sensei for his scars! No, the opposite. He's in awe of the man, their hero, who can bear something so ugly (it's kind of pretty, actually, obsidian veined through with amethyst and ruby-) as though it belongs upon his skin.
