Kitty had always been more cynical than Tim, more mature in a way. She knew their parents didn’t care about them. She’d seen how they treated Tim - he took the brunt of their frustration, being the eldest - and she didn’t care for it.
It was just her and Tim against the world. As long as she had her older brother with her, Kitty could do anything. And she would do anything for her brother.
