He deduces that it’s a plea for direction, for some sort of guidance, Wilson’s admission that he wants to do this right. The vague image of him, how his hands must be laying over himself as he awaits instructions, is enough to make House groan.
“Okay,” he breathes, picking up what Wilson's just put down. “You mentioned how I never do the dishes, or laundry, or vacuuming.” He moves his hand up, absentminded, pressing his palm down between his legs. “How does that make you feel?”
“God, it pisses me off,” Wilson sighs out, followed by a subtle clink of metal. “It makes me want to… to make messes for you to clean up. Just so you’d know how it feels.”
Or: House calls Wilson on a whim, unable to resist the urge to push his buttons. He earns himself a few reminders.
