It was as if the Gods were amusing themselves with their misfortunes. At every turn it seemed a fool's dream to want one another. At every bend of the river some unforeseen calamity kept them apart.
Jason loved her more than life itself, he would and has killed for her and would continue to do so if only for the few seconds to gaze upon her. Ariadne yearned for him, thought only of the stolen moments they shared instead of her upcoming marriage to Heptarian.
Pasiphae was crawling amongst the shadows trying to sniff out their treason and everything was falling to pieces. And yet.... The oracle was optimistic. She was not worried, was not afraid. For the stars and the Gods above had a plan. Even if it was a cruel and terribly drawn out one at that.
