Simon Riley did his best to avoid feelings. He filled his nights with drinking and meaningless sex, too busy for something committal. Of course, the torture of the American education system, even for outcasts, did not care that Wednesday had gotten used to a life with Enid Sinclair as her roommate, when she was spat out the other end of high school.
But Wednesday was confident that, given a few weeks, she could scare off any new roommate at university, and the administration would decide that it was best to leave her to her own devices.
Unbeknownst to Wednesday, Enid has already thought of that.
