Micheal never thought he'd be down on the floor, crying at a Jake Dillinger party.
In fact, he never envisioned himself going to one in the first place—and in any case, certainly not like this.
But here he is! A migraine, a SQUIP in his hand, and a best friend who hates him.
And Jeremy's out there, singing along to some stupid song they'd usually laugh at together, singing along with people they would've laughed at together.
And Michael's trying not to have a panic attack in this goddamn fucking bathroom. -

"What-- what are you doing in my head?" Michael demands to the Squip.
"I am going to destroy Jeremy Heere." The Squip responds coldly, "The question here is wether you want to assist me or get in my way.." Michael takes a sudden step backwards as the Squip advances on him once more, towering over him.
"Obey and I will become your best friend, Michael. I'll help you get the revenge you know you so desperately deserve.." The Squip begins with a gentle smile, watching Michael in intrigue.
"Disobey and I will make your life a living hell. I will torture you to get to Jeremy." It threatens him calmly, its smile vanishing from its face.
He wouldn't even consider the thought of betraying Jeremy. Jeremy is his Player 2. Jeremy is his favourite person.
"No," Michael states as firmly as he can, his voice cracking slightly out of fear, "I won't let you hurt him again. I'll stop you. I'll get you out of my head."
"As you wish, Michael." The Squip hisses, a grin creeping onto its lips, "I anticipated your resistance. And I will break you into pieces to make Jeremy pay."OR: Jeremy's Squip seeks revenge by torturing and breaking the one person who Jeremy loves more than anyone else: Michael Mell.

He was panicking, who wouldn't be? This wasn't an everyday thing. It's not like S.Q.U.I.Ps came with a fucking instruction manual and that would guide you through every unexpected turn. No one even really knew how it worked. Michael was sure not even the creators, whoever they are, knows just how vast and dangerous they are.
Though, it was okay, he'd be okay. He just had to keep himself for being forcibly S.Q.U.I.P'ed long enough for Jeremy to drink the last few precious drops of Mountain Dew Red.
He sees Jeremy pause, spitting out an angry remark at his S.Q.U.I.P, and Michael's heart sinks as he watches Christine walk up to him to take his attention, S.Q.U.I.P'ed. For a moment, Michael's able to reassure himself, until Jeremy lowers the bottle, seeing a dangerous glint in his eyes as he gazes at her.
"Jeremy, what are you doing? Drink it, now! There's no more time! Please, man!" The desperate shouts seem to fall on deaf ears, and he can't make out what's being said between the two, but as Jeremy glances back at him and they're eyes meet, he knows just by the look what Jeremy was thinking

Why is that a problem?
Because he has a crush on his best friend, and his best friend is apparently straight.
When the popular guy, Rich, tells Michael that there's this pill that could help him get the girl, or in this case, get the guy, he jumps at the opportunity. Things take a turn when the pill-the SQUIP-tells Michael that, in order to have Jeremy like him back, he's going to need to get popular.
On top of that, someone started a new school social media and is leaking secrets about the student body.
It's only a matter of time before they make a post revealing something Michael isn't ready to reveal. -
