Zack, Aerith... The world hasn't been set on fire yet. Cloud has a chance to right wrongs before they've even had a chance to happen yet, and he's even been promised peace at the end of it all. The only problem is he's suffering from the most severe bout of mako poisoning he's suffered from since Hojo. Oh, and Sephiroth's decidedly not evil. Yet. With help from both old and new allies, Cloud will have to navigate this new world he's been thrust into.

Zack heard it when he was pursuing Cloud after he ran away from the meeting.
Of course they shouldn’t have rushed things with him. They should have been gentle.
He followed the sounds of the crying till they resonated in the corridor.
At the end, he found a young child who couldn’t be more than 6 years old sitting in the corner. His knees barely muffling his cries.
But more importantly, the blond spiky hair was recognizable from anywhere.

Nope, nope, nope. Isekai isn't supposed to exist! Yet, here I was, stuck in the middle of an impossible situation as one of the worst characters in Final Fantasy VII: Scarlet.
I found myself several years before the beginning of the franchise where the War on Wutai is just a "tension" and the SOLDIER program was still in the early Project 0 phases. I need to find a way home fast... but if I'm stuck here in the meantime, maybe I could clean up some of the mess Scarlet and Shinra started before the start of the story?

When Cloud woke up as a newborn—long after the events of Advent Day—all he could do was wail at the sheer misfortune of it all. He had survived Sephiroth (multiple times), Meteorfall, and even the Lifestream, only to end up here: tiny, helpless, and wrapped in the softest blankets of his entire lifetime.
Then, through bleary newborn eyes, he saw her. His mother. Alive.
Well. Holding him with warmth and exhaustion.
That alone was enough to shock him into silence.
And then she turned and handed him over to a man she lovingly called Dear. Cloud braced himself. Surely, it would be someone kind. Someone he could trust. Someone who wouldn’t ruin his entire existence.
Instead, he found himself cradled in the arms of Fucking President Shinra.
