Summary
As far back as anyone in the Circus can remember, Jax has been cruel and distant. Sure, there's a few moments where he slips, where something genuine manages to sneak its way in, but they're few and far between.
But then Pomni shows up, and things start to change. Jax starts to open up. Things start taking a wild turn for the better - but the train is out of control by now. It keeps turning, and finally lands on a path no one ever expected it to go down, least of all Jax.
