Chapter 1: so we finally meet again

Chapter Text

Izuku stood at the top of the building looking down. He heard nothing. He saw nothing. He felt nothing. He’d prepared for this day, he’d held out till this day. Everything was finally going to disappear. He turned around, his back facing the drop. He took a deep breath..the last breath he’d ever take.
“Goodbye,” he whispered as he fell backwards, the wind rushing past him, blowing his hair in his face. He braced himself for the impact of the concrete, shutting his eyes and holding his breath, but when he connected with something, it wasn’t the ground. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

Katsuki ran towards the building where he’d been informed the person was. Katsuki was the closest hero, but backup was on the way. Katsuki ran with every bit of strength he had. He had to get there in time. This couldn’t end like last time. He reached the site, but there was a huge crowd around the building, so it was hard to get to the front. Everyone was releasing distress pheromones, and it was almost too much for Katsuki. He shook his head and tried to regain focus. As he made his way to the base of the building, he saw someone standing at the very top, their back to the drop. Before Katsuki could do or say anything, the person fell backwards, gathering speed, and falling to the ground way too quickly. Before Katsuki’s mind had time to understand the situation, his body activated his quirk and used his explosions to propel himself up to meet the person before they hit the ground. He reached out, grabbed the person and held them close. He started falling back down, bracing himself for when he hit the ground.

Izuku felt himself collide into something. It was warm and solid, the exact opposite of what he had anticipated. Suddenly Izuku tensed. He felt sick, like he was going to faint. He didn’t even have to open his eyes to know that scent. The one person he had never wanted to see again was here, holding him, saving him.

Izuku felt the shudder as Kacchan collided with the ground.
He heard Kacchan’s breath hitch, as he muttered, “fuck”. That fall must’ve hurt. Izuku felt himself struggling against Kacchan, using what was left of his strength to try get as far away as possible from this man. Kacchan let go of him, and Izuku scrambled to regain his balance. He finally built up enough courage to look at his saviour. He gasped in surprise. Even though he could recognise Kacchan anywhere, he’d changed so much. He still had his out of control hairstyle, and his eyes were still that deep, entrancing crimson. What surprised Izuku the most was how much Kacchan had filled out. He was also a lot taller than Izuku anticipated. Before, he’d only been a couple of centimetres taller than Izuku, but now he towered over him. He had to keep reminding himself that it had been 6 years since they’d last seen each other. He searched Kacchan’s eyes, looking for any sort of emotion, but found nothing.
“Does he not recognise me??” Izuku thought.
Kacchan walked up to him, and Izuku had to will himself not to flinch. Kacchan crouched down and placed a hand on Izuku’s shoulder.
“You okay?” Kacchan asked him. Izuku was bewildered. Kacchan was asking him if he was okay? What was going on?
“Are you hurt anywhere?” Kacchan asked, helping Izuku stand up while scanning his body for any obvious injuries. Was Kacchan showing concern?
“Not talking?” Kacchan said once again, this time looking into Izuku’s eyes. Izuku worried he was going to figure out who he was, and Izuku wasn’t prepared for that. Thankfully, Kacchan didn’t show any signs of recognition.
“I’m going to take you to the police station now, okay?” Kacchan said, slowly pulling Izuku into a waiting car, but Izuku held his ground, his eyes wide in fear, shaking his head. Then all of a sudden, as if they’d been snapped out of a trance, swarms of reporters started taking pictures and shouting questions.
“Ground Zero, how does it feel to save someone after last time?” one reporter asked. Izuku could tell that was a bad question to ask. He saw Kacchan flinch, and then a fire lit in his eyes. He forcibly pushed Izuku into the waiting car before getting in himself.
“Take us away from here,” he commanded the driver. The car started to pull away from the building, and Izuku felt himself start to panic. Kacchan was releasing intense pheromones, and Izuku was fighting to not blackout. Without realising it, Izuku had started to produce his own distress pheromones. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Kacchan’s nose twitch, and before he knew it he was hit with a sweet musky scent. He cursed himself for not using scent blocker that morning. Kacchan now knew he was an omega, as he had released comforting pheromones, whether intentional or not. Despite himself, Izuku felt himself relaxing into the seat, and he slowly allowed himself to be dragged down.

Katsuki sat in the car, watching the man he’d just saved fall asleep, despite obviously trying to resist it. Katusi guessed the shock and adrenaline had finally worn off, and the man had given in. Katsuki took a sniff of the air and blushed a little realising he’d released calming pheromones without knowing. He looked out the window, wondering where to take the stranger. He knew he should take him to the police, or to his hero agency, but the man seemed so scared and opposed, Katsuki didn’t know if that was the right thing to do. He’d thought about taking him to the hospital, but that didn’t seem like such a good idea either. Finally, Katsuki settled on a location. It wasn’t ideal, but it was the best he had.

As Katsuki picked the omega up, he realised he was surprisingly light, almost too light. He walked to the front door and opened it, struggling to keep the man up. He carefully took off the man’s shoes before his own. Katsuki walked over to the couch before deciding it would probably be better to put the omega in his room. He carefully placed the omega down on his bed, making sure not to wake him up. As Katsuki looked down on him, he realised he was really young. He looked about 21 years old, only a year younger than himself. He walked over to his closet and took out the smallest clothes he owned and placed them on the foot of the bed before closing the door behind him and walking into the kitchen. Katsuki scratched the back of his neck, a bad habit he had picked up a few months after Deku disappeared.
“The fuck??” Katsuki muttered to himself, “why am I thinking of that nerd now?”. Katsuki made his way into the kitchen where he started to make dinner. He was actually heading back home before he’d gotten the call. It was 6 pm, and Katsuki had forgotten to eat anything all day. Another bad habit he’d formed after Deku..
“STOP!” he shouted, slamming his fists on the kitchen counter. He could feel tears stinging in his eyes. Now wasn’t the time to be thinking about this, or crying. He had a much more important issue on his hands. He started chopping the vegetables and eventually found his rhythm, tuning everything else out.

Izuku awoke with a start. He sat up in the bed he was lying in, and the scent smacked him in the face. His heart started racing. Where was he? Why was he lying in a bed that smelt like Kacchan? He ran his hands over his body, making sure everything was still okay. He quietly slipped out of the bed, looking at the pile of neatly folded clothes. He tiptoed to the door, and quietly creaked it open, hoping whoever was in the house couldn’t hear him. He squeezed past the door and looked left and right down the hallway. To the right was a dead end, so Izuku made his way down the left, towards the sound. He stopped at the turn and silently looked around. His breath hitched when he saw Kacchan standing with his back to him, cutting what looked like potatoes in the kitchen. Izuku then looked the opposite way and saw the front door. He quickly made his way to the front door, ducking behind the sofa when Kacchan turned around and scanned the room Izuku breathed out when Kacchan went back to chopping. Izuku had finally made it to the front door. He slowly pulled down on the handle, opening it enough for his tiny body to slip past. He was just about to stand up when the door closed and he felt a presence behind him. He squeaked and ducked on, protecting his head with his arms.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Kacchan asked. When Izuku didn’t answer he could hear Kacchan huff in annoyance.
“Listen, I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me,” Kacchan said, thankfully taking a step so he wasn’t towering over Izuku. Izuku stood up but didn’t face Kacchan.
“I can’t let you go, have you seen the state of yourself?” Kacchan said, as Izuku turned around, but kept his eyes trained on the floor. Izuku couldn’t answer that. He hadn’t looked in the mirror for months, there wasn’t one where he had been staying.
“Okay, so don’t reply,” Kacchan said, turning around to go back to the kitchen.
“At least go take a shower and clean yourself up. I left some clothes at the bottom of the bed and dinner’s almost ready.”
Izuku obeyed, as much as he didn’t want to. He knew he couldn’t escape, at least not now, and with an alpha telling him to do something it was hard to defy. Izuku made his way over to the room he’d left and picked up the clothes that were on the edge of the bed. He then made his way over to the bathroom which was connected to the bedroom. He closed the door and locked it behind him. He then sunk to the floor, the exhaustion and shock wearing him down. He didn’t know how long he’d been asleep for, but it only felt like a couple of minutes. He walked to the shower and turned it on. He stripped from his clothes and stood in the shower, letting the water run down his back. He wanted nothing more than to drown himself, but something was stopping him. He washed his hair and body before turning the shower off and stepping out. He looked around for a towel and saw one on the rack. He smelt it, his nose filling with Kacchan’s scent. He dried himself before changing into the clothes Kacchan had provided for him. He walked over to the sink and looked up. Although it was slightly fogged up, Izuku could see himself perfectly. He was slightly shocked. He didn’t look anything like he remembered. No wonder Kacchan hadn’t recognised him. He’d dyed his hair pure black and was wearing blue contacts. He’d covered his freckles so many times over the years Izuku wasn’t sure if they were still there or not. Izuku had done his best to make sure no one would recognise him. Scars littered his arms and there were numerous bite marks littering both sides of his neck. Izuku tried his best to use the shirt to cover them. Thankfully the shirt was big enough that the sleeves covered the top half of his arms. Izuku sighed and said, “I guess this is as good as it’s gonna get,” to himself before making his way out the bathroom. As he made his way sceptically back to the kitchen, he reminded himself to take the contacts out before bed. He stood just around the corner, collecting his thoughts before entering the room. Kacchan was sitting at the table with a big plate of steaming curry and rice in front of him. There was another plate of food sitting directly across from him, assumably for Izuku. Izuku slowly made his way to the table and took a seat.
“Thanks for the food,” Izuku muttered quietly before he took a small spoonful. The flavours exploded in their mouth. Izuku’s eyes widened as he took another bite. For the past few years, he’d been living off fast food. This was the first proper meal he’d had in who knows how long. However, after only 5 spoonfuls of the rich curry Izuku couldn’t eat anymore. He risked looking up at Kacchan, only to find him enthralled in his own food. Izuku placed his spoon down, and rested his hands in his lap.
“You done eating already?” Kacchan asked. Izuku noticed a slight hint of worry in his voice. Izuku was so confused. Why was Kacchan being so nice? His whole childhood Kacchan had bullied Izuku, telling him he was useless and worthless so many times Izuku had started to believe him. So why now was he showing him concern? Izuku nodded his head in answer to the question, staring at the hands in his lap.
“So..” Kacchan said, taking another mouthful of food, “what’s your name?”. Izuku froze, and he was sure Kacchan picked up on his movement. Izuku’s mind raced for an answer. He couldn’t tell him his real name, and his mind had completely stopped working to think of a new one. So Izuku shrugged, unsure of what to say.
“You don’t know your name or you don’t wanna tell me?” Kacchan asked, scraping his plate for the stray pieces of rice.
“I don’t really have a name,” Izuku answered, his voice sounding husky. Over the years people had called him so many different names he'd almost forgotten his given one.
“So you can speak,” Kacchan replied, getting up to take his plate to the sink. Izuku tensed, sensing Kacchan wasn’t happy with his answer.
“Of course I can speak,” Izuku muttered under his breath.
“So what should I call you?” Kacchan asked, running the water.
“I don’t really care,” Izuku said, getting up and scraping the remainder of his dinner into the trash.
“Well that’s not very helpful,” Kacchan replied as he started to wash the dishes.
“How about..” Kacchan said, pausing as he thought for an answer. Izuku carefully placed his plate next to the sink and walked away, going to sit on the sofa.
“How about..how about Izumi?” Izuku heard Kacchan say as the plates clinked against each other. Izuku’s breath hitched and he tensed up. Thankfully Kacchan couldn’t see him. Izumi..was it just him or did that sound similar to Izuku?
“Why..why Izumi?” Izuku asked, although he wasn’t sure he wanted to know the answer.
“Because..because you remind me of someone I used to know..” Kacchan trailed off, and the two didn’t speak for the rest of the night.

Chapter Text

Izuku lay wide awake on the sofa that night. The two of them hadn’t talked at all since dinner, with Kacchan only giving Izuku a toothbrush. Izuku felt extremely uncomfortable and couldn’t fall asleep all night long. Even though Kacchan was all the way on the other side of the house with his bedroom door closed and Izuku was lying on the couch, Kacchan’s scent was still overpowering. The omega in Izuku was willing him to run to Kacchan’s room and pounce on him, but Izuku pushed those feelings down. He wouldn't let his omega side rule, not now. Kacchan didn’t even recognise who he was. Izuku tried to fall asleep with those thoughts still running around in his mind.

Izuku woke up the next morning to the clinking of mugs. He sat up and rubbed his eyes.
“Sorry, did I wake you?” Kacchan asked, turning around to face Izuku.
Izuku was frightened for a second, forgetting where he was, but he soon regained his composure and answered, “It’s alright”. As Izuku looked up at Kacchan he noticed a wave of confusion wash over Kacchan’s face, but it was gone before he could be sure of anything.
“Want a cup?” Kacchan asked, gesturing to the coffee he was holding.
“Sure,” Izuku replied, getting up, “I’m going to the bathroom real quick”. Izuku hopped off the couch and made his way down the hall to the bathroom. He closed and locked the door behind him before looking in the mirror. He gasped, repeatedly muttering, “no, no, no,” clutching at his face. This wasn’t happening. This couldn’t be happening. Izuku had forgotten his contacts. Kacchan had seen Izuku without his contacts in.

Katsuki looked up at Izumi and had to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. He stared deep into Izumi’s eyes, confused. Katsuki swore the omega’s eyes were blue yesterday, and now they were such a familiar green. Katsuki quickly shook his head, thinking he much just be tired and seeing things. He offered Izumi a cup of coffee and watched him go to the bathroom. Katsuki pondered whether he should risk leaving Izumi by himself all day long while he went to work. However, Katsuki didn’t have much of a choice, so he’d have to trust the man. Katsuki soon left, telling Izumi to make himself at home and that he’d be back by 5pm that night. Katsuki tried to focus on work for the rest of the day, but he couldn’t shake the nagging feeling in the back of his mind. That deep, forest green was so familiar..

Izuku watched as Kacchan walked out the front door, leaving for work. He breathed out in relief. He had a few hours before Kacchan returned. Now was his chance to escape. Izuku wasn’t sure where he’d go, but he couldn’t stay here any longer. Izuku didn’t know how much longer he could keep up this facade. Izuku walked to the front door, his footsteps feeling inhumanely heavy. Izuku’s hand hovered over the doorknob, and he willed himself to open the door, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. Izuku cried out in frustration and sank to the floor. Sobs racked his body as he cried his heart out. He cried out all the feelings that had been pent up. Why couldn’t Izuku open the door? In the back of his head he knew the answer. He’d finally been reunited with Kacchan, and he couldn't walk away again. Every day he spent away from Kacchan had been painful. No matter how Kacchan treated him, Izuku loved Kacchan, with all his heart. Why did it have to be like this? Why did Izuku have to love Kacchan of all people? This wasn’t going to work anyways. Kacchan didn’t know who he was. Izuku sniffed and stood up, shaking his head to get rid of all the negative thoughts. Kacchan had told him what time he was coming home from work, so it was obvious he expected Izuku to still be here when he got back home. Instead of moping around, Izuku decided to make himself useful. He made up his mind. He was going to stay here as long as Kacchan allowed him. Any chance to be near the alpha Izuku would take. He had to make up for all the lost time.

By the time Izuku had finished cleaning up the house it was already 3:30pm, Kacchan was going to be home in less than 2 hours. Izuku decided to make dinner, it was the least he could do. From all the years Izuku spent with Kacchan as children he knew Kacchan loved spicy food. Izuku’s cooking skills weren’t that bad, so he decided to make some spicy ramen. Izuku set up the noodles and started prepping the vegetables. As he was about to slice the last few mushrooms, his hand slipped and he sliced his hand instead. Izuku dropped the knife and winced as it connected with his foot. The blood dropped, splatting on the newly cleaned floor. Izuku examined the wound and almost fainted. He’d never been particularly good with blood, and this was a deep cut. Izuku limped to the bathroom and opened the cabinet, searching for a first aid kit.
“Dammit,” Izuku muttered under his breath when he found nothing. He knew he had to apply pressure to the wound, but he didn’t want to touch the wound. He was about to run his hand under the tap when he heard someone coming in through the front door.
“I’m home!” he heard Kacchan shout and heard the click of the door closing behind the alpha. Izuku then collapsed on the bathroom floor.

“I’m home!” Katsuki called out before closing the door behind him. He had been worried about Izumi the whole day and was glad he could finally see the omega. Something about him was comforting and oddly familiar. Katsuki had been wondering about it all day, but he couldn’t place the feeling.
He dropped his bag by the front door and called out again, “Hello?”. When no one answered for the second time, Katsuki began to worry. He walked into the kitchen and noticed dinner was half made. His eyes then dropped to the floor where a knife lay abandoned in a pool of blood. Katsuki’s heart dropped and he began to sweat. What had he been thinking? He’d left a suicidal omega alone all day long. How stupid was he?
“IZUMI?!” Katsuki called, freaking out. He ran to the hallway and noticed the bathroom light on, and door open. He flung himself into the room and looked down to see Izumi lying on the floor, his hand and feet in a pool of blood.
“no, no, no” Katuski muttered under his breath as he shook Izumi.
“Wake up!” he called, desperate to get any kind of response from the omega underneath him. Izumi moaned and turned his head before he passed out again. Katsuki sighed in relief. It wasn’t much but at least he’d gotten some sort of response. Katsuki bent down and picked the omega up, carrying him to the couch. He then went into his room to retrieve the first aid kit he kept in his cupboard. He dressed Izumi up and went into the kitchen to make him a cup of tea for when the omega woke up. Just as Katsuki was adding the milk, he heard the man stir, and he bought the mug to the coffee table.
“Careful,” Katsuki warned, “don’t move your hand too much”.
Izumi looked up at Katsuki and sat up instantly.
“Woah, woah woah,” Katsuki said, putting his hands up.
“It’s alright, you’re okay,” Katsuki reassured Izumi.
“What happened?” Izumi asked, rubbing his face.
“Actually, I was gonna ask you the same question,” Katsuki replied, handing Izumi the hot drink, “I came back from work and found you on the bathroom floor in your own blood”.

Izuku listened to Kacchan’s explanation as he took a sip of the tea. The beverage calmed his nerves a bit, and as he listened to Kacchan talk it came flooding back to him.
“Oh,” he whispered.
“What?”
“I remember now, I was making dinner when I accidentally sliced my hand, and I guess when I dropped the knife it hit my foot on the way down,” Izuku explained.
“Why’d you pass out, I don’t think it was enough blood to make you do that,” Kacchan asked, getting up to resume the abandoned dinner.
“I’ve never been very good with blood,” Izuku muttered.
“Oh, okay,”
“And why were you making dinner?” Kacchan inquired.
He never stops asking questions, Izuku thought to himself before replying, “I thought I’d do something useful”.
“I noticed the house was also cleaned,” Kacchan said as he cleaned the blood on the kitchen floor.
“Yeah..” Izuku started, “I wanted to make up for the nights you let me stay here. Anyways, I should be out of your hair by tomorrow”.

“You’re leaving?” Katsuki asked, turning around to face the back of Izumi’s head. He couldn’t hide the hint of sadness in his voice.
“It’s for the best,” Izumi replied, looking down at his hands, “I’ve caused you enough trouble as is”.
“Not at all!” Katsuki responded. He wasn’t sure why, but he really didn’t want to let Izumi go, “you can stay here for as long as you want”.
“Really?” Izumi exclaimed, whipping around to face Katsuki. Katsuki blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Well yeah, you aren’t doing me any harm,” Katsuki said as he began to chop the rest of the vegetables, “plus I could do with the help”.

Izuku’s heart dropped at that statement. Was Kacchan going to use him for sex? Is that the only reason he offered to let Izuku stay for as long as he wanted. Izuku didn’t know what he’d expected. Why else would Kacchan let a random stranger stay with him? Izuku was surprised Kacchan hadn’t made a move so far. He knew it was hard for alpha’s to resist omegas, so why was Kacchan? Before either of them could say anything else, Izuku screamed out in pain. It felt like his insides were being ripped out. He fell to the floor and passed out.

Chapter Text

Katsuki flushed and went back to chopping vegetables. Did he really just say that? He was about to expand on his words when he heard Izumi scream out in pain. He dropped the knife and rushed to Izumi’s side, but was knocked back with a powerful scent.
“SHIT!” Katsui swore, quickly covering his mouth and nose. He knew this smell. This was an omega in heat. Katsuki was freaking out to say the least. He didn’t know what to do. The alpha in him was already telling him to take Izumi right then and there, but he fought against it. He was about to leave the room to get something to cover his face when he heard Izumi moan. He looked over the sofa onto the floor where Izumi was lying. Izumi was squirming on the floor, his whole body covered in sweat. Izumi cried out and Katsuki instantly forgot about covering his mouth. That sounded like a cry of pain. Katsuki had learned a little about omegas, and he knew their heat wasn’t supposed to hurt as much at Izumi seemed he was in. Katsuki did the only thing he could think of, no matter how much he would regret it later. He pulled his phone out and dialed his co-worker, Kirishima.

“Babe are you going to get that or not?” Kirishima heard Kaminari call from the kitchen. He groaned and got up from the sofa. He looked at the caller id and his heart sank when he saw it saw from Katsuki. The man never used his phone, so if he was calling Kirishima something serious must be happening.

“Hello?” Kirishima called out tentatively.
“Kirishima, no time to explain. Should it hurt an omega if they’re in heat?”
“What the fuck?” was all Kirishima could reply.
“HURRY UP!”
“Um, hang on let me ask Kaminari”.
“Hey babe!” Kirishima called over to his mate, “can you come over here for a second?”
“Ugh Kiri, what is it?” Kaminari complained as he waddled into the living room.
With one hand on his stomach, he said, “this better be important”.
“It’s Katsuki,” Kirishima explained.
“Shit,” Kaminari replied, “hand me the phone, quickly!”

Kaminari is that you?!” Katsuki shouted.
“Yes, it’s me! What’s going on?”
“Is it normal for an omega to be in pain during their heat?”
“Not generally, it’s more of a hollow need really, why?”
“Then what’s wrong with Izumi?”
“Izumi?”
“No time to explain. Why would an omega be in a lot of pain during their heat?”
“Umm, as far as I know, the only reason could be if they’ve taken heat suppressants for a long period of time”.
“Thanks, gotta go,” Katsuki said as he hung the phone up. He didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t resist the urges for much longer. Katsuki was about to pick Izumi up when he began making noises and squirming in Katsuki's hold. Katuski shuddered and shut his eyes. What was he going to do?
His eyes flung open when he heard Izumi murmur, “kacchan~” underneath him.
“H-how do you know that name?” Katsuki stammered as his heart dropped. There was only one person in the whole world who called him that, and he was gone.
“Please..” Izumi begged, squirming underneath Katsuki.. “please kacchan it hurts”.
Before Katsuki could think or stop himself he crashed their lips together. Katsuki didn’t have much experience in this field, but pure instinct took over. Soon their tongues were battling for dominance, and Katsuki lifted Izumi up onto his lap.

Izuku could feel Kacchan’s hands roaming all over his back, while his were tangled up in Kacchan’s hair. He wanted more. He moaned into Kacchan’s mouth, grinding his hips against Kacchan. However, before things could escalate further, Izumi felt himself being thrown off Kacchan’s lap.
“No,” he could hear Kacchan whisper.
“We can’t do this..I can’t do this,” Kacchan said, this time louder.
“Kacchan~” Izuku whined, already missing the close contact.
“I’ve got to get out of here,” Kacchan said to himself. Izuku watched as he grabbed a coat and walked out the front door. Izuku cried out in pain as another spasm took over his body. His head was clouded, his body didn’t feel his own. He needed to let go. With Kacchan gone, all he could was satisfy himself, even if it didn’t have the same desired effect. He moaned into empty air with no one to hear his cries.

Katsuki shook his head, trying to clear it. Everyone kept a good distance away from him, and Katsuki didn’t even realise the pheromones he was releasing. That was too close, Katsuki thought as he walked down the street. Before long his mind wandered to the name Izumi had called him and he stopped abruptly. There was only one person who had ever called him that. How did Izumi know that name? Was it just a spur of the moment nickname? It didn’t seem likely, but there was no other explanation - right? Katsuki wanted to march right back to his house and question Izumi, but he knew that was a bad idea. As far as he knew, heats usually lasted 4-6 days, but if Izumi had been taking heat suppressants they could last for as long as 2-3 weeks. Katsuki knew that Izumi was in a lot of pain, but there was nothing Katsuki could do to help him. There was no way he was going to have sex with Izumi. There was only one person Katsuki would ever want to do that with, and he was gone now. He would also never do that to Izumi. He didn’t know exactly what the omega had been through, but Katsuki wasn’t blind. He’d seen the bruises and scars as well as the bitemarks. Izumi wasn’t in his right mind right now. The heat would be confusing him. Katsuki was at a loss. He needed some comfort, so his feet led the way. He found himself at Kirishima’s front door. He hesitated before knocking. Kaminari answered the door, and he found himself sniffing. Katsuki wasn’t one to cry, but this whole situation was a bit overwhelming. Kaminari smiled gently down at him and rested a hand on Katsuki’s shoulder gently guiding him inside his home.

“Who is it?” Kirishima called after his mate. He quickly got up and rushed over when he saw it was Katsuki.
“Hey hey hey what’s going on?” Kirishima asked, worry thick in his voice.
“I don’t know what to do,” Katsuki whispered.
“Sit down, and tell us everything,” Kaminari said, gesturing to the sofa. The two of them listened as Katsuki began the story, all the way from Izuku’s disappearance.

“Do you really think it could be Izuku?” Kaminari asked, a hand resting on his growing stomach.
“I’m really not sure, but no one’s ever called me that before, and every time I look at him I get this feeling, a feeling I’ve only ever had when I’m with Deku,” Katsuki explained.
“So what are you going to do?” Kirishima said, resting a hand on Katsuki’s shoulder.
“I really don’t know,” Katsuki began, “I don’t know if it’s better to leave him alone cause I really don’t know if I can control myself around him”.
“I know you’ll do the right thing,” Kaminari replied.
“Yeah, just don’t do anything stupid okay?” Kirishima added, ruffling Katsuki’s hair.
“Like I’d do that,” Katsuki smirked, feeling better now that he’d talked to someone.
“Well, I think I should go back,” Katsuki said, getting up and heading for the door, “I probably shouldn’t leave him alone for too long, especially in this state”.
“Okay, remember you can talk to us anytime you need to,” Kirishima said, holding Kaminari close by the waist.
“Yeah, yeah,” Katsuki said, walking down the pathway. He held up a hand and waved goodbye before he walked back to his house. Katsuki’s hand rested on the doorknob, and he breathed in and out, preparing himself for what he was about to walk into.

Chapter Text

Katsuki walked in slowly, making sure not to scare Izumi (or whatever his name was) as he tentatively sniffed the air for pheromones. The sweet scent still lingered, but it was much less potent than before which could only mean one thing; either Izumi had moved rooms or he’d left the house. Katsuki hoped it wasn’t the latter as he stepped further in the house. He decided to go down the hallway and hadn’t even gone two steps when the scent hit him full in the face. It seemed to be seeping from Katuski’s room. He walked up to the door and peeked through the tiny slit. It was pitch black, so Katsuki couldn’t see much. He went against his better judgement and fully opened the door, taking a step in. His pupils immediately dilated and he felt his muscles slack. He was completely at the mercy of the omega sprawled out across his bed.

Katsuki groaned as he woke up and shuffled closer to the source of warmth lying next to him. He shot up when he smelled the person and immediately got out of the bed. SHIT, Katsuki thought, looking at Izumi who was still fast asleep. Please don’t say we did what I think we did.. Katsuki thought as he looked down and internally freaked out. He was stark naked, and all of a sudden last night's events came flooding back to him. What had he done? He quickly rushed out of the room with a change of clothes and got in the shower. He let the water run down his back and thought about last night. Had they really had sex? Katsuki thought it was best to push the thoughts to the back of his mind for now. Katsuki didn’t know how long he was in the shower for, but at one point he heard someone opening the door.
“I-I’m in here!!” he called out, turning around so his back was facing the entrance. He could feel himself heating up and knew he was a deep shade of red. He cursed himself for not having a shower curtain.
“Calm down, it’s not like I’ve never seen a naked man before,” Izumi replied. Katsuki could hear him turning the sink tap on and Katsuki leapt out from the shower’s stream as it turned scorching hot.
“Hey watch it!” he shouted, turning his head around while keeping his body facing away.

“Sorry, sorry,” Izuku apologised half-heartedly. He was still dazed from the heat waves that wracked through his body. He was lucky he was getting a break now, although his hips hurt terribly. He wasn’t quite sure why, but he put it down to muscle spasms. He felt a lot better than he had for the past 2 days, so he thought his heat might finally be over. It was strange that it hadn’t lasted that long, but Izuku hadn’t experienced a heat for over 4 years, so it was no surprise he couldn’t remember much about them.
“Soo,” he heard Kacchan ask from the shower, “you feeling better?”
“Yeah, thanks,” Izuku replied, “but my hips hurt like hell, just walking is a chore”.
“Oh, is that so??” Kacchan asked, and Izuku noticed his voice wavering, but he ignored it.
“It’s alright, it’s probably just from muscle spasms from the heat,” Izuku assured, and he swore he heard Kacchan breath out. Then Izuku realised what he was saying and where he was. He spluttered, turning a bright shade of pink and raced out of the bathroom. What was he thinking? He shook his head and went limped into the kitchen. He was quenched, he couldn’t remember the last time he’d drunk anything. He walked over to the fridge to get some milk and noticed they were almost out. When he scanned the fridge he noted they were pretty much out of everything. Did Kacchan not keep on top of the shopping? Izuku sighed, he wasn’t surprised. He walked over to the couch and turned the tv on, switching it to the news. Nothing important was going on, so Izuku lowered the volume when he heard Kacchan walking into the room. Izuku blushed and avoided Kacchan’s gaze.
“S-So,” Izuku stuttered, “I noticed we’re out of food..”
“Already?” Kacchan said, with a hint of surprise in his voice.
“When was the last time you went shopping?” Izuku asked curiously.
“Umm,” Kacchan said, and Izuku heard the clink of mugs, “2 weeks ago?”
“2 WEEKS?” Izuku spluttered, whirling around to face Kacchan. Did he really not take care of himself?
“Being a hero doesn’t really allow for him to do a thing like shopping you know,” Kacchan replied, stirring his coffee.
“There’s no milk,” Izuku pointed out, getting up from his spot on the sofa.
“That’s fine, I take my coffee black anyway,” Katsuki replied, “also, talking about heroes, I haven’t asked before, but what’s your quirk anyways?”
Oh no, Izuku thought, his heart dropping. Should he lie? No, Kacchan would probably find out.
“Ummm,” Izuku said, twirling his fingers nervously, “I don’t have one,” he whispered, half to himself.
“Oh,” Kacchan said, obviously still hearing.

Izumi didn’t have a quirk? He’d only ever met one person who was quirkless.
“So!” Izumi perked up, obviously trying to change the subject, “how about I go shopping?”
Katsuki let the conversation change and answered, “are you sure you can walk in your condition?”
“Yeah, sure! I’m fine, really,” Izuku replied with a convincing smile on his face.
“Well okay then, let’s go,” Katsuki said, downing his coffee.
“Y-you want to go with me?” Izuku stuttered.
“Well yeah, I’m not going to make you go by yourself,” Katsuki said, putting his shoes on.
“O-oh, okay,” Izumi said, joining him at the front door. As they walked down the street, Katsuki’s thoughts wandered, to last night’s events, to the name Izumi called him..Katsuki looked down at Izumi. Should he bring it up? Would it only ruin things? Katsuki didn’t know what to do for the second time that week. He'd made a mistake last night, and it was all on him. However, he found it strange that Izumi hadn’t brought it up.
“Say, Izumi,” Katsuki said, rubbing the back of his neck, “what’d you do last night?”
Izumi spluttered and replied, “Ummm, I fell asleep..sorry for taking your bed,” Izumi apologised, smiling that blindingly cute smile at Katsuki. Katsuki avoided his gaze and let out a breath of relief. Maybe Izumi didn’t remember what they did last night, but was that a good thing?

Chapter Text

Izuku stole glances at Kacchan as they walked down the street. He looked deep in thought, and although Izuku wanted to say something, he thought it was best not to disturb the alpha. They arrived at the entrance to the grocery store and Izuku went to fetch a shopping cart, leaving Kacchan alone in his thoughts. Everyone was giving him looks, and Izuku consciously pulled his shirt together. He didn’t have any clothing of his own, and although Kacchan was nice enough to lend some to Izuku, everything was too big. Izuku was all too aware of the wide neck that was showing off his shoulders. He quickly hurried back to Kacchan’s side, who hadn’t even noticed Izuku was gone. He absentmindedly pulled on Kacchan’s sleeve towards the vegetable aisle. As Izuku pondered about what to buy, he heard things falling into the cart, and he looked down to see a selection of items had been placed in it. He looked up and saw Kacchan standing next to him, picking between an array of mushrooms.
“Um, what’s all this?” Izuku asked, looking from the various items.
“Food,” Kacchan replied, dumping two different kinds of mushrooms into the shopping cart.
“I would hardly call alcohol and chips food,” Izuku stated. How did Kacchan maintain such a nice figure if he ate terribly?
“Well I do, so,” Kacchan said, walking over to the next shelf.
“These things aren’t good for your health,” Izuku answered, “I don’t think we should buy them”.
“I want them so I’m going to buy them,” Kacchan stated, his tone of voice suggesting there should be no further discussion. Izuku sighed. Kacchan was just as stubborn as ever.
“I assume I’m going to be doing most of the cooking?” Izuku asked, changing the subject.
“Well I mean, that’s up to you,” Kacchan replied, throwing in some lettuce and tomatoes.
“I don’t know how you’ve been surviving so far, but I’m sure it hasn’t been good,” Izuku said, picking up some spinach and bean sprouts.
“I do what I can okay?!” Kacchan snapped before whirling around and heading down another aisle. Izuku froze, shocked at Kacchan’s tone of voice. Had Izuku done something wrong?

“I do what I can okay?!” Katsuki snapped before whirling around and heading down another aisle. He instantly felt guilty but didn’t turn back. It wasn’t Izumi’s fault, he didn’t remember last nights events, but Katsuki was on edge. He’d made up his mind about calling a doctor to look at Izumi, and Katsuki felt bad not telling the omega beforehand. However, Katsuki was worried about how the man would react, so he thought it was best he didn’t know it was going to happen before it was too late. Katsuki had made a lot of mistakes already, and he didn’t know if this was the right choice. He shook his head as he picked up a bag of rice. He’d already gone over this with himself multiple times, he couldn’t back out now. Katsuki turned around, looking for Izumi so he could apologise about snapping at him, but Katsuki couldn’t find him. He started to freak out, thinking Izumi had run for it. This was all going to be Katsuki’s fault. He frantically searched the store, looking high and low before breathing out in relief when he saw the mop of black hair by the stationary section of the store.
Katsuki walked up to the omega and said, “Don’t walk off like that, you scared me”.
“Sorry,” Izumi replied is a whisper, averting Katsuki’s gaze. Katsuki placed a hand on Izumi’s shoulder and felt the omega tense up a little, but he didn’t remove his hand.
“Hey listen,” Katsuki started, nervously rubbing the back of his neck with his left hand, “I shouldn’t have shouted at you like that, I’m sorry”.

Izuku was a little taken aback. Kacchan was apologising for something? Izuku felt bad, so he looked up and gave Kacchan a little reassuring smile.
“It’s okay,” he said before wistfully looking at the notebooks. He hadn’t been able to get one in a few years, and he missed writing. It was a way for him to release all the pent up emotions inside of him.
As Izuku was about to walk away, he heard Kacchan called behind him, “Do you want this?” while holding up the notebook Izuku had been staring at. Izuku flinched, he didn’t think he’d been that obvious about wanting it.
“It’s okay,” Izuku said, waving his hands by his chest, “It’s expensive anyway”.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Kacchan replied, walking up to Izuku and placing the notebook in the cart along with some pens.
“Oh..” Izuku said, and was about to thank Kacchan, but noticed he was already walking away. Izuku pushed the cart quickly to catch up to him, a small smile adorned on his face.

After many small arguments about what and what not to buy at the grocery store, the two finally made it out with a few bags in hand. Katsuki let out a breath of relief. He hated going shopping, but somehow Izumi had made it a little more tolerable. He looked down at the omega walking next to him and realised just how big the clothes were on him. Katsuki chuckled to himself. He wasn’t going to deny that the omega looked cute in big clothes, but Katsuki wasn’t oblivious. He’d noticed the nervous way Izumi had pulled the neck together, sheltering his neck and shoulders. It was obvious he was conscious of all the bite marks that adorned his skin. A thought hit Katsuki, and he knew what to do. As they made their way to the front door of Katuski’s house, he told Izumi to stay outside and that he’d be back in a second. He quickly put the bags down in the kitchen and threw the things that needed refrigerating into the fridge. He raced back out of the house and saw Izumi sitting on the porch steps, lost in thought. Katsuki chuckled at the sight, but as he neared he froze in place. He could hear the omega muttering under his breath, and Katsuki was transported back to the days when he would tell Deku off for doing the exact same thing.
“Kac-Bakugou?” Katsuki faintly heard someone call. He shook his head and came back to reality. He looked down to see Izumi starting up at him, a look of confusion adorned on his face.
“You okay?” he asked, getting up.
“Fine yeah,” Katsuki replied, walking down the steps past Izumi. Now wasn’t the time to be thinking about that nerd. He heard Izumi running to catch up to him and then heard little pants and saw the man briskly walking next to him. He was quite a bit shorter, so Katsuki felt sorry that he was making him walk so quickly. He slowed down and took a right.
“Where are we going?” Izumi questioned, looking around the neighbourhood.
“It’s ridiculous making you wear oversized clothing,” Katsuki replied, taking a left, “so I thought we could go out and buy you some new clothes”. Izumi stopped and Katsuki turned around to look at him.
Izumi waved his hands in from of him and said, “that’s really not necessary”.
“No, it is,” Katsuki replied, gently pulling on Izumi’s wrist when he didn’t start walking again. Katsuki only let go when they’d made it to the train station he always waited at to go to town and his hero agency. They hopped aboard just as the train was about to close its doors, and Katsuki looked around for a seat. The train was pretty full, and all the seats were taken up by people. Katsuki walked a little further down the carriage and quickly held onto the strap as the train pulled out of the station. He felt someone crash into him and he turned to see Izumi clutching onto his arm.
“Sorry!” Izumi said once the train had stabled, a blush covering his face.
“It’s okay,” Katsuki chuckled, “just hold on okay?” He watched as Izumi struggled to hold onto one of the straps. Katsuki tried to hold his laugh in, but it slipped past his lips.

Izuku was shocked. He’d never heard Kacchan laugh before, save for his maniac laugh. It was such a beautiful sound, Izuku wished he could bottle up and save it.
“Here you go,” Kacchan said, averting his gaze, but Izuku could see the blush dusted across his cheeks. Izuku went a deeper shade of red as he gently took hold of Kacchan’s bicep to stabilize himself as the train slowed down. He felt himself leaning into Kacchan as the train came to a halt at the next station. He wanted to lean away, but gravity kept forcing him closer. The two stay in silence for the rest of the journey. When they arrived in town Izuku gasped in wonder. Lights were set up all around, sparkling brightly in the afternoon light. Izuku had forgotten it was almost Christmas, time was usually a blur for him. He made a point of not keeping track, he didn’t want to know how long he’d spent in that hell hole.

Katsuki looked down at Izumi. He smiled to himself. What a cute sight. It was almost as if Izumi had never seen the Christmas lights before. It was times like this Katsuki had to remind himself that this was a suicidal man with a dark past. When everything seemed so normal, it was easy to forget. Katsuki pushed those thoughts from his mind. Now wasn’t the time to think about it.
“Come on,” he said to Izumi, making his way to the clothing store he always shopped at. He felt something tug on the back of his shirt and saw Izumi hanging on, his face to the ground. He didn’t say anything and kept walking on. When they arrived at the store, Katsuki noticed Izumi’s nervous behaviour.
“Hey, are you alright?” Katsuki asked.
Izuku’s eyes shot up to meet him, and he muttered, “fine”. Katsuki wasn’t completely convinced, but he didn’t press it. He picked out a few outfits for Izuku to try, guessing he was a small, and nudge him in the direction of the changing rooms. Katsuki slumped into the chair outside the changing rooms, exhausted. He leaned his head back and shut his eyes, breathing out.

“Kac-Bakugou,” Izuku called out, catching himself. Kacchan’s head rose, and he scanned Izuku up and down. The clothing was still a little too big, but Izuku prefered that from skintight clothing.
Katsuki frowned, but only for a second before he gave Izuku a smile and said, “I like that”. Izuku still hadn’t gotten used to the friendly way Kacchan was treating him. 6 outfits later and Izuku was officially exhausted. He came out of the changing rooms in his original clothes and said, “I think this is enough for today,” before sighing.
“Mmm,” Kacchan agreed, getting up to go pay for the clothes.
“I only need these 2,” Izuku said, handing Kacchan the first 2 outfits he’d tried on. He was only guessing, but they looked the cheapest.
“Did you not like the others?” Kacchan said, taking the clothes from Izuku’s tired arms.
“No, it’s just..” Izuku trailed off. He didn’t want Kacchan spending unnecessary money on him.
“How about I buy these 4,” Kacchan said and went up to the cashier before Izuku could object. Izuku rushed to place the other 2 outfits back before running to Kacchan who was waiting by the entrance with 2 bags in his hands.

“How much did that cost?” Izuku inquired as he joined Katsuki.
“Doesn’t matter,” Katsuki replied, noticing how Izumi was shivering. The temperature had dropped as night came, and Katsuki internally cursed himself for not giving Izumi warmer clothes. He took the scarf that was hanging around his neck and wrapped it around Izumi. He looked up at Katsuki with a surprised look, and Katsuki picked the bags back up and walked off before he got sucked in. Katsuki was confused, to say the least. Only one other person had ever made him feel like that, so what was going on? He felt a tug on his sleeve and noticed Izumi holding on, struggling to get past the pushes of the crowd. Katsuki blushes as he wrapped his free arm around Izumi’s shoulders, pulling him closer.
“Stay close okay?” he hold Izumi. He looked down when he didn’t hear a reply, and noticed Izumi staring up ahead. Katsuki followed his gaze and saw what he was looking at. There was a big Christmas tree in the middle of town which they set up every year. At much as Katsuki wanted to take Izuku to see it, they needed to get home in time for the doctor’s visit. Katsuki smiled. He was definitely going to have to take Izumi back here. His day off was definitely spent well.

Chapter Text

Katsuki sighed as he placed the bags down by the couch. He turned around and collided with someone else. He took a few steps back, the force almost knocking him to the ground. He balanced and looked down, seeing the mop of black hair he’d grown so familiar to.
“Thanks,” he heard Izumi mutter into his chest. Izumi retracted, but not before Katsuki cause a glimpse of his roots. If he wasn’t seeing things, Katsuki would say they looked a different colour to the rest of hair. Katsuki was about to say something when he heard the doorbell ring. He felt Izumi tense underneath him, and he patted his head reassuringly.
“Don’t worry,” Katsuki said as he walked over to the front door.
“Hello, I’m doctor Mikita,” the person at the door said.
“Hello,” Katsuki replied, opening the door further to let the doctor in. Katsuki glanced behind his back to see Izumi frozen in place. The guilt already wracked through Katsuki, but he truly believed this was the best thing to do. He knew Izumi was underweight, and he wasn’t sure how to fix it.
“This is Izumi,” Katsuki introduced, closing the door behind him.
“Hello Izumi, I’m doctor Mikita,” the doctor said again, this time holding a hand out, but Izumi didn’t take it. He just started at Katsuki with fear in his eyes. Katsuki wanted this to all be over. Had he made another mistake? He’d betrayed the omega’s trust, but Katsuki just wanted to make sure Izumi was okay. The doctor set his suitcase on the dining room table and opened it up, taking out a piece of paper and a pen.
“I’m just going to ask you some questions if that’s okay?” the doctor said, clicking his pen. Katsuki glanced over to Izumi who hadn’t moved an inch. He could see sweat covering Izumi’s forehead, and he could smell the distress pheromones coming off the omega. The doctor was obviously a beta, as he didn’t react in anyway, whereas Katsuki was almost suffocating from the amount of pheromones in the air. Izumi’s usually fresh, vanilla sweet scent was gone, replaced by an acidic, burnt smell. Katsuki had to do something. He quickly placed his hands on the doctor's shoulders and steered him outside, shutting the door behind him.
“What’s going on?” the doctor asked, confused.
“I’m sorry,” Katsuki explained, “I shouldn’t have asked you here, it was a mistake”.
“Mr. Bakugou,” the doctor started, “I can see Izumi is severely underweight and doesn’t look healthy”.
“I know,” Katsuki replied, “but I’ll deal with it. I just need you to give me the medicine I asked for”.
“I don’t know if I should leave sir,” the doctor said, looking deep into Katsuki’s eyes, “I might have to report this if I can’t check up on Izumi”.
“You can’t do that!” Katsuki said, his temper rising, “Can’t you see he’s shit scared out of his mind?”
“I still need to do tests,” the doctor persisted, trying to get past Katsuki.
Katsuki blocked the door and replied, unknowingly using his dominating alpha voice, “No you don’t, and if you try anything funny, I’ll make sure the rest of your life is a living hell”. The beta shrunk away. He knew better than to deal with a pissed alpha, especially when that alpha was Ground Zero, known for his temper and attitude. Not to mention he was a top 5 pro hero.
“You wait here, I’ll get your bag,” Katsuki growled, stepping inside to retrieve the doctor's suitcase. Izumi had disappeared, and Katsuki felt the guilt bury further. He was going to have to apologise later.
“Here,” Katsuki said, passing the suitcase to the doctor. He watched as the doctor left, passing the medicine bottle from hand to hand. Katsuki walked inside and close the door behind him. He sighed out and sunk down to the floor. What had he done?

As soon as the doctor and Kacchan had left Izuku unfroze and ran into Kacchan’s room, locking the door behind him. What just happened? Why had there been a doctor in the house? Izuku fell to the floor and tears stung his eyes. Why had Kacchan done this? He’d trusted Kacchan. Izuku wanted to let go, he wanted to give up. He spiral down, shutting himself out as past memories came flooding back to him.
“Come on Izuku, do it for me..please”
“Come here, pretty boy!”
“What have you done?!”
“You WILL listen to me you piece of shit”
“I will kill every last one of them if you don’t obey”

Katsuki rushed to his room, knocking on the door.
“Izumi? Izumi are you in there?” Katsuki called, ratting the doorknob in an attempt to open it. Of course it was locked. Katsuki growled in anger. This was all his fault.
For the next 3 days Katsuki didn’t hear or see Izumi. He’d locked himself in Katsuki’s room and hadn’t come out. Katsuki had left food and water outside the door everyday before he went to work, but it was always exactly how he left it when he came back. He didn’t know what to do. Katsuki slumped on the couch. He sighed out in frustration. He’d finally gotten closer to Izumi, and now he’d ruined it all. Katsuki closed his eyes and remembered the day he first met Izumi, all those weeks ago. His mind wandered to other things. He thought about all the things leading up to this point. He thought about the name, and the muttering, and the eyes, and the hair and the…
“WHAT THE FUCK” Katsuki shouted as he bolted up. No, there was no way. He was dreaming. This wasn’t true, this couldn’t be happening.
“Izuku..?” Katsuki whispered, his voice laced with fear. Katsuki ran down the hallway, tripping over his own feet. He banged on the door, shouting, "OPEN UP", to no avail. No one was answering. Katsuki pressed an ear to the door, hoping for any kind of noise, but all he heard was silence. Katsuki felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up. He shut his eyes as he activated his quirk, causing the lock to break. He kicked the door open with his foot, taking a step inside, but stopping, frozen in place when he looked down at the ground.

Chapter Text

“Izuku..?” Katsuki whispered, his voice laced with fear. He stepped into the room, fumbling for the light switch. He flipped it on and turned his head to the heap lying on the floor. Katsuki’s stomach flipped and his heart stopped. There Izumi lay, face down in a pool of his own blood. Katsuki’s razor blade lay abandoned on the floor next to Izuku, and Katsuki felt his legs give. He dropped to his knees. He’d just replaced that blade, and he knew how sharp it was, he’d nicked his face shaving with it just the other day. Katsuki wanted to scream, but he found the strength to crawl over to Izumi (Izuku’s?) body. He gripped Izuku’s shoulders and turned him over, shaking him awake.
“Please, please wake up!” Katsuki cried, “I can’t lose you, not again,” he wailed. Katsuki gently placed Izumi’s head in his lap before fumbling for his phone in his pocket. It slid in his blood coated hands, and the screen wouldn’t pick up his finger. He quickly wiped his hands on his jeans before dialling 911. The phone rung and Katsuki ran his fingers through Izumi’s hair. Just as the operator picked up on the other side, Katsuki heard Izuku moan and he dropped the phone.
“Izuku? Izuku it’s me, I’m here,” Katsuki said, looking into Izuku’s half lidded eyes.
“Ka-cchan..” Izuku replied before slipping back into unconsciousness.
“No no no,” Katsuki said, stroking Izuku’s cheek, “wake up!” He completely forgot about the phone as he picked Izuku up and brought him into the bathroom. He placed Izuku down in the bathtub and apologised under his breath and he tore Izuku’s shirt off. He scanned Izuku’s body for the wounds, but his body was covered in so much blood he couldn’t pinpoint anything specific. He turned the shower on gently and waiting until he thought it was a suitable temperature. He tenderly placed it over Izuku’s body, carefully washing away the blood. Izuku winced and opened an eye.
“I’m sorry,” Katsuki muttered, turning the tap off. Izuku’s hands were limp at his sides, and Katsuki could now clearly see where the wounds were. The blood wouldn’t stop gushing, and Katsuki was worried he wasn't going to be able to stop it. Somewhere in the back of his mind, the word pressure surfaced and Katsuk raced into his bedroom before throwing everything out of his closet in search of his first aid kit. He tripped on his way back to the bathroom, before flinging the box open and looking for bandages. He pulled his towel off the rack and gently applied pressure to Izuku’s arms. By this stage, he’d already passed out again. Katsuki was worried he wasn’t going to wake up again, but he pushed these thoughts to the back of his mind. Katsuki spent the next thirty minutes cleaning and dressing Izuku’s wounds. He was so thankful they were only on his arms and weren’t deep enough to need medical attention. Katsuki lifted Izuku up and carried him back to his room, carefully placing him on Katsuki’s bed.
“Forgive me,” Katsuki said as he eased Izuku jeans off, before replacing them with a much nicer, softer material. He kissed Izuku’s forehead before heading off to the bathroom to clean up. He washed the bath out and replaced all the medical materials back in the box. He threw the towel away and started cleaning the mess on his bedroom floor. Katsuki didn’t know if it was the noise he was making or the intense smell of the cleaning products, but Katsuki heard Izuku stir, and he leapt to his side.

“Kac-chan?” Izuku groaned. His head was spinning and he couldn’t sit up. He winced at the pain he felt when he tried to move his arms.
“It’s okay, I’m here,” Kacchan replied, helping Izuku to sit up. He lifted a glass up to Izuku’s lips and he realised just how parched he was. Then everything came flooding back. The doctor, locking himself away, the sharp sting as he dug the razor blade further in. Tears stung at Izuku’s eyes and he willed himself not to cry. Not now, not in front of Kacchan. Izuku sniffed before croaking, “Can I have some more?”
“O-of course! Just give me a second!” Izuku watched as Kacchan leapt up and raced out of the room. Despite himself, he chuckled a bit. His stomach growled and he remembered he hadn’t eaten in 3 days.
“Kacchan?” Izuku called, “Can I have something to eat?”

Katsuki’s heart leapt. Izuku was asking for food! This was a good sign. He quickly grabbed some leftovers from the fridge and stuck them in the microwave. He’d given Izuku a glass of water, but this time he added some powder to give him a sugar boost. Katsuki felt horrible. He should’ve done something sooner, then maybe he could’ve prevented this. How long had Izuku been lying on the floor before Katsuki burst in? He was going to have to have a talk with Izuku once he got a little better. Katsuki considered taking him to the hospital, but he thought Izuku wouldn’t be able to deal with any more stress right now. Katsuki had almost lost him again, and this time he was going to make sure it never happened again. The beep from the microwave dragged Katsuki back into reality, and he took the katsudon out.
“Ow, ow, ow,” he said as he dropped the plate on the counter. He got a tray and took the food back to his room. Izuku was still sitting there, staring out the window.
“Knock, knock,” Katsuki said as he entered the room. He placed the tray down on the bedside table and lifted a spoonful up to Izuku’s lips.
“Listen..” Katsuki started. He didn’t know what to say, but he knew he had to say something.
“I’m sorry,” Katsuki said, blaming himself, “this is all my fault-”
“No, I-” Izuku interrupted but was cut off by Katsuki.
“No, please listen. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. Half the time I didn’t know what I was doing, and now I’m dealing with the consequences. You’ve already suffered, more than I can imagine, yet I keep bringing more misfortune on you. This is all my fault, and there’s no way I will ever be able to apologise enough for what I’ve done. I should’ve tried better. I should’ve realised sooner. I’m sorry, Izuku.”

Did Kacchan just call him Izuku? No, no, no Izuku thought, has he already figured it out?
Katsuki seemed to realise Izuku’s internal panic, and said, “I know who you really are, but it’s okay.” Izuku didn’t know how to reply. If Kacchan knew, there was no point in trying to lie his way out of this. He shifted, turning his head away. He’d suddenly lost his appetite. He really just wanted to be alone to think through everything, but at the same time, he didn’t want that ashy, cinnamon smell to leave him ever again. A thousand emotions raced through Izuku all at once, and he couldn’t figure out which one to display. Should he be angry? Relieved? Happy? Disappointed? Scared? Upset? He didn’t know. He eventually built up the courage to look at Kacchan.

Katsuki stared deep into those forest green eyes. Even though the rest of his face wasn’t showing any emotion, his eyes always gave away what he was feeling on the inside. Katsuki tentatively raised a hand to stroke Izuku’s cheek, but Izuku flinched away. Katsuki was a little hurt, but he knew he deserved it. He picked up another spoonful and help it to Izuku’s mouth, but he didn’t open it.
“I’m not hungry anymore,” Izuku whispered, looking at his hands in his lap.
“Please,” Katsuki begged, “you’ve only had 3 mouthfuls..please for me”. Katsuki knew he wasn’t in any sort of position to be asking something of Izuku, but he was so worried about the omega that all other thoughts besides protecting him were pushed out of Katsuki’s mind. Thankfully, Izuku accepted another mouthful. Katsuki knew the road to recovery was going to be long, and harsh, but he was willing to do anything now that he had this boy back in his life. He was never, ever going to let him go again.

Chapter Text

The next few days Katsuki spent looking after Izuku, cleaning his wounds, making sure he was eating and drinking enough, and spending time catching up with one another. Izuku was still very vague about the years the two had spent apart, so it was mostly Katsuki who did the talking.
“I really am sorry,” Katsuki apologised for the millionth time.
“I’ve already told you before, you don’t have to worry about it,” Izuku replied, eating a spoonful of the soup Katsuki had made for him.
Katsuki had taken a few days off work so Izuku wouldn’t be alone.
“Don’t forget to take the pills,” Katsuki said as he took Izuku’s dishes away. Katsuki had been giving Izuku supplement pills to make sure he was getting everything he needed, as well as the abortion medicine he’d gotten from the doctor. Today was the last day Izuku was going to need to take them, which made Katsuki happy. When he walked back into the room, Izuku was writing in his notebook.
“What’re you writing about?” Katsuki asked, trying to sneak a glance over Izuku’s shoulders, but like every time, Izuku sheltered the book away.
“Nothing~” Izuku replied. Katsuki was so curious as to what Izuku wrote in those notebooks. Since a week ago when he bought Izuku his first one, he’d had to go out and buy a new one almost every second day. Katsuki was so confused as to what Izuku was filling them with, but he knew better than to pry. Although their relationship had gotten better, it was still unstable, and Katsuki didn’t want to push it over the edge.

Izuku woke up with a groan and clutched his head. At least he was gaining some control over his muscles again, but everything still hurt, and he’d been bedridden for the past 3 days on Kacchan’s orders. Unfortunately, that meant he hadn’t been able to shower and clean himself, and he was honestly starting to feel gross. Maybe if he asked Kacchan nicely when he came back from work he’d let Izuku have a shower.

Katsuki felt really worried about going back to work today, but Izuku insisted he’d been fine, and 2 days was long enough to be away from work. As soon as his shift ended, Katsuki ran out of the agency, crashing into Kirishima on the way out.
“Woah, be careful Bakubro!”
“Sorry, gotta go”
“Woah, woah hang on”
“What is it shitty hair?”
“Geez man! I just thought you’d want to know Kaminari’s only 2 weeks away from his due date”
Katsuki felt bad when he saw the radiant smile plastered on Kirishima’s face, so he turned around and gave him his own subtle smile.
“That’s really awesome dude”
“I know, I’m really excited but also super nervous, like what if I’m not fit to be a father?”
“You’re gonna be great, don’t worry”
Kirishima smiled.
“Okay go on, I won’t keep you waiting any longer”
“I better be the first one to see their stupid face!” Katsuki yelled over his shoulder.
“Of course!” He heard Kirishima reply, and Katsuki chuckled.
Even though he didn’t show it much, Katsuki loved and cherished every single one of his friends, especially Kirishima. They were about as close as close could get. Kirishima was the first person who’d talked to him when he entered UA, and they’d stuck together ever since. He was the only one who knew about Katsuki’s past, about Izuku. Katsuki had been the one to get Kirishima and Kaminari together, but only because he couldn’t stand their obliviousness any longer. Katsuki was also the one to help Kirishima propose, and he was the first one to know Kaminari was pregnant. Katsuki chuckled slightly at these memories as he hopped onto the train. The journey home seemed to take three times as long as usual, and katsuki impatiently tapped his foot as he waited for his stop. When the train finally arrived at the station, Katsuki all but leapt out as he quickly made the short walk to his house. He slotted the key in and turned it, stepping into the house. He was immediately greeted with the warm, vanilla scent he’d grown so used to. He smiled as he closed the door behind him.
“I’m home!” he called and heard a muffled response.
He kicked his shoes off as he made his way down the hall and knocked on the bedroom door.
“Can I come in?”
“Yup, it’s open”
Katsuki walked in and saw Izuku snuggled up in his sheet, a small smile playing on his lips.
Izuku was much more comfortable with Kacchan now. Although there was still a lot to talk about, Kacchan had taken care of him for the past 3 days, and they’d talk enough so Izuku wasn’t always nervous around him. He still had an uneasy feeling, but it was small enough that it was easy to ignore. Izuku didn’t know he’d be so lonely and bored when Katsuki left for work that day, so he was happy when he heard Kacchan’s greeting.
“How was work?”
“As good as it ever is I guess”
“Catch any villains?”
“No, I was on rescue duty today, so I didn’t do any fighting”

Izuku knew fighting the villains was Kacchan’s favourite part, but he had recently learned Kacchan also enjoyed rescuing the civilians. Izuku laughed quietly. Everyone thought Ground Zero was this harsh, temperamental, angry person, but Izuku knew just how soft and sweet he could be. Kacchan had shown him that over the past few weeks. If you’d told Izuku this was the situation he’d been in years ago, he’d never believe you, but Izuku was glad this how it was. He was finally out of all those horrible situations, and he was finally getting the help he needed. Kacchan had even been kind enough to get medication for Izuku’s depression and anxiety.
“Oh okay”
“How are you today?”
Izuku smiled. He thought it was so sweet how Kacchan always checked up on him throughout the day.
“I’m fine, but I’m kind of uncomfortable, I haven’t showered in like 3 days”
“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I should’ve thought about that, of course you’d wouldn’t feel comfortable, I’ll fix that right now”
Izuku burst out laughing. When did Kacchan pick up his horrible rambling habit?

Katsuki blushed red and muttered, “Shut up,” before walking to the bathroom to make it ready for Izuku. Did he really just mutter? Oh gosh, Izuku was bad for him. Once he drew the bath, he walked back into the bedroom and helped Izuku up.

“You think you’re going to be able to manage?”
“I’ll be fine”
Katsuki doubted it, but he wanted to give Izuku some privacy, so he closed the door behind him and slumped on the couch. He was exhausted. Saving civilians was no easy task. Not 5 minutes later he heard Izuku calling for him. He leapt up, scared something bad had happened. He rushed down the hall and burst into the bathroom.
“What’s wrong? What happened?”
“Calm down Kacchan! I just can’t wash my hair, could you help me?”
Katsuki sighed out in relief.
“Don’t scare me like that!”
Izuku chuckled and replied, “Sorry!”
Katsuki knelt down by the bath and poured shampoo into his hand, gently massaging Izuku scalp.
“Am I doing it too hard?”
“N-no, that feels good”

Izuku felt embarrassed having to call for help, but his hair needed to be washed, and he couldn’t do it himself. Kacchan crouched down and slowly massaged the shampoo into Izuku’s hair.
“Am I doing it too hard?”
“N-no, that feels good”
How were Kacchan’s hands so soft, yet hard at the same time? Izuku closed his eyes in pleasure and leaned into Kacchan’s touch. Unbeknown to Izuku, he was releasing certain pheromones, and Katsuki was subconsciously lapping them up.

Katsuki sat with Izuku in between his legs. He held the hairdryer above Deku’s head, gently combing his fingers through the dyed black hair. It always amazed him how curly, soft and perfect. As Katsuki looked properly, he could see peeks of green coming through. Katsuki wondered how long it was going to take for it to fully grow out. He turned the hairdryer off, and set it down on the sofa next to him.
“Listen,” Katsuki started. He’d made up his mind. He’d wanted to talk with Izuku about this for a while and now was the time.
“What’s up?”
“There’s something I’ve been meaning to talk to you about for a while now, I mean, I more need to tell it to you.”
“What’s wrong?”
“You see..a while ago when you had your heat, I-I may have done some things
Katsuki looked at Izuku who’s eyes were wide in shock. Katsuki felt so guilty. His heart dropped and settled uncomfortably in the bottom of his stomach. He’d finally gotten their relationship to a comfortable place, but everyday Katsuki felt like he was lying to Izuku.
“W-What kind of things?”
“Well, you see I didn’t do anything at first, but then I came back and the pheromones were too much and I didn’t know what I was doing and something just took over me and I couldn’t resist and you just looked like you were in so much pain and I was willing to do anything to stop that and I-I just…”
Katsuki sighed. This wasn’t going at all as he’d planned. Where had he picked up Deku’s stupid rambling habit??
“Oh.”
Katsuki couldn’t look at Izuku any longer. After a few seconds, he felt a hand on his cheek, pulling his gaze back to meet Izuku’s.
“Listen, I know how hard it can be to resist instincts, and although I’m not 100% sure how I feel about this right now, I want you to know that it’s okay, I’ll be fine. We’ll work it out. Thank you for telling me.”
With that Izuku stood up and left, walking into Katsuki’s room.

Chapter Text

Izuku closed the bedroom door behind him. He wasn’t exactly sure how he was feeling. It was almost as though he felt nothing, but he could sense the emotions tugging at the back of his mind. What had Kacchan meant by things? Izuku was pretty sure he meant sex. He knew it wasn’t fully Kacchan’s fault. They both hadn’t been in their right minds, and Kacchan had said that Izuku was in a lot of pain. Izuku didn’t remember a lot about those few days, it was just a haze, but he remembered the pain. Knowing he’d had sex with Kacchan was a little hard to swallow, specifically because he couldn’t remember doing it. He took a deep breath in, willing himself to calm down. This wasn’t as bad as he was making it. It wasn’t like either of them had wanted to do it, it was purely down to pheromones and instincts. Izuku knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Truth be told, Izuku thought the only reason Kacchan had wanted to take him home was so he’d be Kacchan’s personal sex toy. Izuku shook his head. It was a little strange and was definitely going to be awkward, but with everything Kacchan had shown him recently, he wasn’t going to let something silly like this get in the way. It was kind of sad that Izuku couldn’t remember their first time, but that was alright. Izuku didn’t know how to explain it, but whenever he was around Kacchan he felt safe..and something else he couldn’t describe. He’d grown to find comfort in Kacchan’s scent, the sweet caramel, smokey, slightly acidic smell. Izuku nodded his head in confidence. He wasn’t going to let this get in the way. They’d worked too hard together to let it all be ruined by some silly, unintentional one night stand.

Katsuki’s leg bounced up and down as he sat on the sofa, worrying his head off. Should he go in there? Should he leave Izuku alone? In a last minute decision, Katsuki leapt up and walked over to his door. He couldn't let this end like last time. Even though katsuki had made sure to lock all the sharp, harmful objects in the house away in a drawer, Izuku could still do something. Katsuki knocked on the door just as it opened, and he jumped back in surprise. Kacchan rubbed the back of his head and avoided Izuku’s piercing gaze.
“Kacchan?”
“O-Oh I was just making sure you were okay..”
Izuku smiled and Katsuki felt a small part of him melt.
“I’m fine”
“Listen, I’m really sorry I know I shouldn't have done what I did”
“It’s okay. It’s a little strange to think about, but it’s okay. I know you wouldn’t have done it if you had the choice.”
Katsuki was shocked. Izuku was taking this really well, he couldn’t help but think the omega was hiding something. Katsuki shook his head. He couldn’t doubt the other boy. They had to trust one another.
“So..what do you want for dinner?” Katsuki changed the subject.
“Hmmm..I’m not sure. What do you want?”
“Ramen.”
Izuku smirked.
“Ramen it is”
Katsuki stood in the kitchen preparing dinner. Izuku had persistently offered to make it, but Katsuki insisted he rest, he still wasn’t fully healed. If Katsuki told the truth, he didn’t know if he wanted Izuku around a knife just yet. Izuku sat on the sofa, and Katsuki could hear his steady breathing as the omega dozed off to sleep. Katsuki loved the sound. As he finished making up dinner, he walked up to Izuku, gently sitting next to him. He smiled as he saw a smile playing on the boy's lips.
“Must be dreaming about something good..”
Katsuki couldn't help but think how cute he looked when he was sleeping. He looked so peaceful. Even though Katsuki and Izuku were growing closer, there was always something distant and sad in Izuku’s eyes, no matter how many times he told Katsuki he was fine. Katsuki wanted to make Izuku look as peaceful as he did now every single moment of his life. It was what the omega deserved.
Katsuki didn’t want to wake him up, but the dinner was going to get cold, so he softly placed a hand on Izuku’s shoulder, shaking him gently while he said, “Come on, dinner’s ready!”
Izuku whined, pouting. Katsuki chuckled. Izuku opened one eye and looked at Katsuki. He shot straight up and the two bumped heads.
“Owww”
Izuku rubbed his head, and Katsuki looked up with one eye closed.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have gotten up so quickly I-”
“It’s fine, I’m okay..”
“Sorry..”
“Really, I’m okay. Dinner’s ready, let’s eat before it goes cold”
“Yeah.”
Katsuki served both of them before sitting down at the table. He sighed in relief. He’d hardly gotten a break all day.
“Thanks for the food!”
“Thanks for the food.”
The two dug in, and Katsuki was happy to see Izuku was eating much more than he previously was.
“Sorry for falling asleep..”
“It’s okay. Have you not been sleeping well at night?”

Izuku flinched. He’d tried so hard to hide the fact that he had terrible insomnia. He hadn’t meant to fall asleep, but the exhaustion had caught up with him, plus knowing Kacchan was close had made it easier to fall asleep.
“No, I’ve been sleeping fine, I guess I was just really tired today,” Izuku lied. He looked up to meet Kacchan’s gaze, but his face was unreadable. Had he bought Izuku’s lie?
“So-”
“Listen, I wanted to apologise again for earlier.”
“Really Kacchan, it’s okay.”
“Which has actually got me thinking.”
Izuku watched as Kacchan squirmed uncomfortably in his chair.
“I-If, well when your next heat comes..do you have any plans?”
This question took Izuku by surprise. He’d hardly thought about it, and it shocked him Kacchan had paid any mind to it.
“Oh, I’m not really sure, I haven’t put much thought into it.”
“Well, your last heat was a couple of weeks ago, right? So your next one will be coming up any time now, and I want to be ready for it this time.”
“Oh, okay, I see.”
Izuku wasn’t exactly sure how to answer. What answer did Kacchan want? Which one would make him happy?
“If you want, I can leave you alone-”
“No!”
Izuku clamped his hands over his mouth. Why had he shouted that? Something deep inside him made him say it, and Izuku wasn’t sure what.
“O-Oh..”
“U-um please don’t leave me alone..”
“Okay”
The two didn’t talk about it again for the rest of the night, and Izuku excused himself to the bathroom while Kacchan cleaned up.
Izuku sat in the bath, fully clothed, thinking about Kacchan’s question. What would happen when Izuku went into his next heat? Were they at a stage when the two could think about having sex? Izuku hadn’t even told Kacchan about the time they spent apart. There was so much Kacchan didn’t know.

Katsuki lay awake in bed that night. He was restless, and for some reason couldn’t fall asleep. He turned over on his side, thinking about their conversation at dinner. Izuku had been so intent on staying by Katsuki’s side, it made him happy. He heard his bedroom door creak open, and he sat up, ready to defend himself.
“Who is it?”
“It’s just me Kacchan”
Katsuki relaxed.
“What are you doing in here?”
“I’m sorry, I couldn’t sleep..”
Katsuki knew it. Izuku hadn’t been sleeping during the night. He felt bad, he should’ve said something sooner.
“Do you wanna sleep here?”
“Can I?”
“Well, I wouldn’t offer if I didn’t mean it.”
Katsuki heard Izuku moving in the darkness and barely made out his shape as he slipped into the bed next to Katsuki.
“Thanks..”
“No problem.”
Katsuki faced away from Izuku, and fell asleep to the smell of vanilla and pine trees.

Izuku woke up and felt the most refreshed he had in awhile. He’d finally gotten a good night’s sleep. He felt someone’s body move against his own and Izuku froze. He breathed in the scent of smoke and caramel, and his body instantly relaxed as last night came back to him. It’s okay, he told himself, it’s just Kacchan. He pressed against Kacchan’s body, relishing the warmth it gave. He eventually sat up, stretching out the night’s sore muscles. Kacchan had the day off today, and Izuku wondered what they’d do. He looked down at his arms. They were still wrapped up, but he could feel the itch of a scab forming. Good, he thought. Between the medicine and the thought of Kacchan, Izuku hadn’t spiralled down since that day, it was more of a dull throb. He was happy to finally be getting help and moving on. He knew that he’d always have scars on the inside and out, but maybe, just maybe Kacchan would still accept him, and that was more than he could ever want or ask for. He could feel it slowly growing inside of him, like kindling a fire. His feelings were becoming stronger every day, and Izuku wondered where they’d lead him.
“Morning…” Katsuki yawned.
“Morning!” Izuku smiled brightly, turning to face Kacchan.
“You’re in a good mood this morning.”
“I guess I am!”
Izuku didn’t know why, but he felt like today was going to be a good day.

Chapter Text

Katsuki smiled as he greeted Izuku in the morning. What he wouldn’t give to wake up like this every morning. Katski could no longer hide it, he was in love with Izuku. The omega had taken every bit of Katsuki, from his heart to his brain. He’d finally decided to do something about it today. He knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with this man, but he also knew Izuku was damaged, and he’d need time to warm up to Katsuki. Katsuki was willing to wait as long as it took. He stretched out and dangled his feet over the bed.
“So, whatcha doing today?” he heard Izuku ask.
“Well..”
Katsuki rubbed the back of his neck, back facing Izuku. He was beyond nervous. Izuku picked up on this.
“What’s wrong?”
He felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned around to see Izuku’s worried face.
“I was just wondering if you maybe wanna go out and do something with me..” Katsuki mumbled.
“Y-you wanna go out with me?”
“Well, I mean only if you want to you don’t have to I know I don’t really have a right to be asking you after everything that’s happened and everything I’ve done and-”
Katsuki stopped himself.

Izuku looked away.
“You wouldn’t want to go out with me.”
“Says who?”
“Says me. I’m disgusting. You don’t know the things I’ve done.”
Izuku couldn’t drag Kacchan into his messy past. He didn’t want him falling for Izuku, for his tainted heart. Kacchan deserved better than Izuku could ever be. If Kacchan knew about the things he’d done, would he still be offering to go out with him?
“Don’t say that! You are not disgusting!”
“You don’t know anything about me! Why are you asking to go out with me?”
“Because I want to Izuku! I’ve been in love with you for years.”
Izuku’s heart leapt. Kacchan had been in love with him? His eyes then hardened.
“You’re in love with the past me. You’re in love with the idea of me. You are definitely not in love with this me. You don’t even know who I am.”
“That’s not true. I do love this you. I love the way you’re sometimes unsure about things. I love the way you mutter under your breath when you think I can’t hear you. I love how you pout when you’re thinking about something deeply. I love how you get excited about the smallest things. I love how peaceful you look when you sleep. I love your smell. I love you.”
“You’re just listing all the good things. You don’t know what I did when we were apart.”
“I don’t know because you haven’t told me yet.”
Izuku held his breath. Maybe he had kept his past a secret for too long. Maybe now was the time to talk about it.
“I haven’t told you because I don’t want you to think of me as this lowly omega who did all those unspeakable things.”
If Kacchan knew about the things he’d done, would he still love Izuku? Izuku felt himself being pulled into Katsuki’s embrace, and he relaxed, letting himself be surrounded by the comfort and warmth Kacchan was emitting. He breathed in the calming pheromones and felt his heart rate slow, but his mind still raced. He remembered all the touching, all the calling, all the orders, and felt himself shrink. He just wanted to disappear. Should he tell Kacchan? Even after all these years of keeping it to himself? The tears ran down his cheeks and fell onto Kacchan’s bare shoulder before he could stop them.
“I-I”
“It’s okay, don’t push yourself.”
He felt Kacchan’s hand run through his hair and he instinctively leaned into the touch. He took a deep breath in.
“I’m not proud of what I’ve done.”
Kacchan didn’t interrupt or push him, and Izuku was thankful.
“Never in million years would I have chosen to do it if I actually had a choice. It hurt so bad Kacchan..”
More tears streamed down Izuku’s face and he clung onto Kacchan, digging his nails into Kacchan’s back. If the alpha felt anything, he didn’t show it.
“They were all so rough and demanding. You know the first time I got sold was when I was 11 years old? I was so, so young Kacchan..”
He wailed, the memories sharp and painful. He choked out the next words.
“I wanted it to stop so bad Kacchan. All the pain, all the depression, all the orders.”

“I know, I know.”
In truth Katsuki didn’t know, he’d never know. Izuku had been through more than he could ever imagine. Katsuki lifted Izuku’s head and saw the hurt, the humiliation in his deep, forest green eyes, and Katsuki knew he’d do anything in the world to take it away. He wiped the tears spilling from Izuku’s eyes and kissed his forehead.
“I’m disgusting. I’m ugly. I’m worthless. All I’m good for is sex.”
“That’s not true. You’re beautiful, and even if no one ever sees it, I do.”
“But I’m tainted, I’m used. I know you’ve seen the countless marks on my neck. How can you love me knowing what I’ve done?”
“I love every bit about you, even the flaws. It doesn’t matter what you’ve been through. It’s not like you did all those things because you wanted to, you were forced, so how can I blame you?”

Izuku didn’t deserve this, he didn’t deserve Kacchan’s understanding. He was disgusting, he was revolting, he was used. He’d told himself this so many times. He’d never be loved. No one would want him. Now Kacchan was breaking down everything Izuku had worked so hard to build up. This wasn’t fair. Kacchan had to be messing with him. There’s no way he’d love Izuku knowing what he’s done.
“Please, look at me,” Katsuki asked, tilted Izuku’s head.
Izuku searched the deep, crimson eyes he’d known for so long, searching for what was going on in Kacchan’s mind.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologise, it’s not your fault. If anyone should be sorry it’s me. I’m the one who did and said all those things to you. I should’ve seen the signs, I should’ve done something. Will you ever forgive me?”
Izuku jumped into Kacchan’s arms, knocking him down on the bed. He wept his eyes out until he couldn’t cry anymore. Kacchan held him, slowly stroking his back. When Izuku had finally calmed down, he sat up and wiped his eyes, sniffing.
“I’m sorry. I’ve ruined your morning.”
“No, you haven’t. If anything, you’ve made it better. You told me something I know was hard to say. Thank you for trusting me.”
Kacchan took Izuku’s hands in his own and gently kissed his knuckles.
“So, you wanna go out with me or not?”
Izuku laughed despite himself. He never thought he’d see that look on Kacchan’s face.

Katsuki smiled, happy he’d made Izuku laugh, soaking in the precious sound he cherished so much.
“I guess I have to make up for this morning..”
Katsuki’s heart leapt. He was going on a date with Izuku Midoriya. The same one he’d thought was gone, but now had finally reappeared in his life. Katsuki couldn’t be happier. Today was the best day he’d had in a while.

Chapter Text

Katsuki tried to smooth his hair out in the mirror, but it kept bouncing back up. Although it had calmed down slightly since he’d been in middle school, it was still out of control.
He sighed and walked out the bathroom to wait in the living room. Izuku had requested Katsuki didn’t come into the bedroom, and Katsuki wondered what he was doing in there. When 20 minutes passed, he started getting worried.
“Hey, you okay in there?”
No answer.
“I’m coming in okay?”
Katsuki opened the door and walked into the bedroom. He found Izuku standing in front of the mirror, combing through his mess of hair.
“What are you doing?”
“Oh, Kacchan! You scared me!”
“You’re just making it more frizzy by brushing through it you know.”
“Ah, I know, but I wanted to do something.”
“Why?
“Because my hair’s so messy and gross..”
“That’s not true, I love your messy, curly, used to be green hair. Although it’s grown out so much, you could definitely use a haircut.”

Izuku tugged at his mullet like hairstyle. He sighed, Kacchan was right, this wasn’t going anywhere. Izuku traced a hand over the scar that went from his jawline all the way down his throat to his collarbone. The painful memory flashed before his eyes, and he clutched his heart.
“H-hey are you okay?!”
He felt Kacchan’s hand on his back.
“I-I’m fine..”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m sure.”
Izuku looked up at Kacchan and gave him his best reassuring smile. He watched as Kacchan sighed out and ran a hand through his hair.
“Don’t scare me like that!”
Izuku chuckled.
“Sorry!”
“Anyways, you ready to go?”
“Yup!”
Kacchan smiled, and Izuku returned it. They walked out of the house and Kacchan locked up before taking the lead to the train station. Izuku struggled to keep up with Kacchan’s pace, and at one point he had to ask Kacchan to stop so he could catch up. By the 3rd time Izuku had to catch up, it was clear Kacchan was losing his patience.
When Izuku finally caught up, he panted and breathed out a “sorry.”
“tch”
Kacchan grabbed Izuku hand and pulled him along.
“If you don’t hurry we’re going to miss the train.”
A blush erupted on Izuku face and his whole body tingled. Kacchan’s hand was so warm, the opposite of Izuku’s. They arrived at the train station just in time. They both rushed to get on before the doors closed. Much like last time, the train was crowded. Izuku was squashed between the wall with Kacchan extremely close. He rested his arm over Izuku’s head, and Izuku could feel Kacchan’s breath on his cheek. He sucked in a breath of air and wanted this moment to be over. When they finally reached town, Izuku remembered all the Christmas lights that were hung up. It was now only a few days until Christmas, and Izuku was excited for the first time in what felt like forever. Izuku was quickly swept off the train with the crowd and started to panic when he lost sight of Kacchan.
“Kacchan!”
He turned around in circles, looking for any sight of the blond alpha. Tears stung his eyes and people started staring at him, obviously smelling the pheromones radiating from his body. He’d only been to town once before and had no idea how to get home from here. He suddenly felt someone pull him close, and his body instantly relaxed once he smelled the familiar sweet but smokey smell that surrounded Kacchan.
“Izuku you scared me! Don’t just go walking off like that!”
“I-I didn’t!”
Izuku sniffed, clinging tighter to Kacchan.
“People were push-pushing and I couldn’t move!”
“It’s okay.”

Katsuki let go and let out the breath he didn’t know he was holding. His heart was still racing and his body was filled with adrenaline. He really thought he’d lost Izuku for a second. Katsuki took Izuku’s hand and squeezed tighter.
“Stay close. Don’t let go, okay?
“Okay.”
Izuku’s voice was quite, and Katsuki felt guilty. He should’ve made sure Izuku was close before getting off the train. He shook his head. No point thinking about it now, Izuku was safe. Katsuki started walking towards the hairdressers. He’d previously booked an appointment for Izuku, and was excited for the omega to finally freshen up. Katsuki opened the entrance to the hairdressers and heard the little bell ring. The receptionist looked up and smiled. From her lack of smell, Katsuki could tell she was a beta.
“Hello! My name’s Aiko, how can I help you?”
“Hey, I’m here for an appointment I booked about 2 days ago?”
“Of course, what’s your name?”
“It’s under the name Katsuki Bakugo but the appointment’s for Izumi.”
The receptionist gasped, obviously recognising the name of the number 4 pro hero. He wasn’t surprised she didn’t recognise him earlier, he was piled in clothes.
“Y-you’re Ground Zero!”
Shit,” Katsuki muttered, "don’t be so loud about it! I don’t want to draw attention to myself!”
“Oh! I'm so sorry!”
“It’s okay!” Katsuki reassured her.
“You said the appointments for Izumi. Is this him?”

Izuku was currently hiding behind Kacchan.
“Yes, that’s him.”
“Perfect, if you’d like to follow me, Izumi.”
“Go on, I’ll be waiting here for you.”
Izuku quickly shook his head. There was no way he was going in there by himself. He could smell the potent scent that came off all alphas coming from the room Aiko was trying to lead him into.
“It’s okay, I’ll be right here.”
Again, Izuku didn’t budge. Kacchan sighed and looked up to Aiko.
“Is it alright if I go in with him?”
“Well we don’t usually allow it, but it’s okay.”
Kacchan started walking, and Izuku followed closely behind, holding onto the back of Kacchan’s coat.
“I can take your coat for you.”
“Thanks.”

Katsuki shrugged off his off and handed it to the receptionist. Once they were through the door, they were immediately greeted by a man. By the smell of it, he was another beta. Thank goodness, Katsuki thought. He didn’t know what would happen if Izuku got an alpha hairdresser.
“Please follow me!” the man said, his voice cheerful and peppy.
“Come on.”
Katsuki dragged Izuku to where the man was waiting he sat Izuku down in the chair and the took his place slightly to the side so he was still near Izuku, but out of the way.
“Okay, so do you have a hairstyle in mind?”
“Not really..” Izuku muttered.
Thankfully, Katsuki had come prepared.
The alpha and omega walked out of the hairdressers hand in hand.
“See, that wasn’t so bad now was it?”
“I guess not.”
“And now you look much better.”
The hairdresser had done a good job with cleaning up Izuku’s hairstyle and even shaved a bit off of the sides. Katsuki gasped when he first say Izuku’s ears. They were pierced, in more than one place. With Izuku’s previous haircut, his ears had been covered and Katsuki hadn’t seen them. But now he had a full view. On the one side, Izuku had 2 earlobe piercings and one helix. On the other side, he had 3 earlobe piercings and an industrial. Katsuki wondered how he’d missed them when he was bathing Izuku the other day. Maybe he’d been too focused, and the wet hair had mostly covered them anyway. Before, Izuku’s bangs were too long and unkempt, so they covered much of Izuku’s face. Now, he had side swept bangs, so Katsuki could see a lot more of him. Katsuki leaned in, his eyes widening as he inspected Izuku’s face.
“K-kacchan?”
“You’re freckles are coming back!” Katsuki exclaimed.
Izuku put his free hand up to his face, brushing his fingers against his cheeks. Katsuki smiled down at him and melted when Izuku looked up at him with those innocent eyes. Katsuki blushed, and looked away, coughing when he realised how much he’d been staring. He heard Izuku gasp and internally groaned. Izuku had noticed.
“Kacchan, are you blushing?” Izuku teased.
“N-no of course not.”
“Sure~”
“Let’s just go.”
Katsuki led him to the next shop and heard Izuku snickering behind him. He was glad Izuku had relaxed a bit. Now they could enjoy themselves. Katsuki’s hand still gripped Izuku’s tightly and he never wanted to let go.

Izuku shivered, the cold hair hitting him right in the chest. He was wearing as many warm clothes as he could, but he didn’t have a coat.
“Are you cold?” Kacchan asked him, stopping in front of a window of a random clothing store.
“A little,” Izuku chuckled.
“You should’ve told me sooner!”
Izuku watched as Kacchan took his coat off and wrapped it around him. It was warm and still smelled like the alpha. Izuku buried his nose into the coat and snuggled into it.
“There we go,” Kacchan said as he took Izuku’s hand and started walking again. Izuku gasped as he noticed little snowflakes falling from the sky.
“Look Kacchan! It’ snowing!”
“Yeah, I can see that.”
“Isn't it beautiful?”
“I guess.”
“Could you be more enthusiastic?”
“Probably not.”
Izuku groaned.
“You’re no fun.”
“Come on.”
“Kacchan tugged on Izuku hand and pulled him into a clothing store.
“We need to get you warmer clothes.”
They spent at least half an hour in the shop, looking for suitable clothes. Izuku kept pointing out cool graphic shirts and hoodies but was instantly shut down by Kacchan.
“How old are you, 5?”
“But they’re cool Kacchan..”
Kacchan sighed and pushed Izuku into the changing rooms.
“You try those on, I’m going to look for some more.”
“O-Okay!”
Izuku walked into one of the changing rooms and pulled the curtain closed. Little did he know someone was watching.

Izuku sighed as he tried on the third pair of pants. None of them fit him. Even though he’d put on a little more weight, small’s were still a little big for him. He pulled the shirt over his head and put it on the chair. He looked up in the mirror and felt disgusted. He was standing in only his underwear, and he turned around, scanning every inch of his body. There were scars and scratches all over, not to mention the bitemarks. Izuku just wanted to erase them. Suddenly the curtain was yanked back and Izuku yelped. "Kacchan!" Izuku whipped around, and came face to face with a man, who was definitely not Kacchan.

Chapter Text

“Who’s Kacchan?”
The man smirked and ran his tongue over his lips. Izuku gulped and shrunk into himself.
“W-what do you want?”
“Well you see, you just disappeared and I was worried. So when I saw you here today, I knew I needed to have a word with you.”
Izuku knew who this man was. He was one of Izuku’s most frequent clients. The man approached Izuku, towering over the omega. He gripped Izuku’s chin and forcefully made Izuku’s eyes meet his. The man’s eyes were a piercing blue, cold and empty. Izuku felt like they were looking deep into him, searching every bit of Izuku. He squirmed under the alpha’s gaze.
“W-what are you going?”
As much as Izuku tried to seem big and confident, his voice gave and he felt like he was going to collapse at any moment.
“Whatever. I. Want.”
And with that the man pushed Izuku up against the mirror, pinning his hands up above his head.
“No! Stop!” Izuku screamed.
The man pushed himself onto Izuku, crashing their lips together, silencing Izuku’s cries of help. The more Izuku protested, the more the man pushed. He let go, and Izuku gasped for breath.
“Please..don’t”
“And why should I listen to you? You’re just a worthless little omega. This is all you’re good for.”
Izuku had to remind himself this man was a villain. His record was filled with multiple murders, rape victims and much more. The man picked Izuku up by his collar and whispered in his ear. Izuku shivered. The alpha pulled back and Izuku looked at the multiple scars and burns across his face, wondering what the man would look like without them.
“Look what you’ve done now. Deal with it.”
Izuku submitted, getting on his hands and knees. No matter how much he wanted to fight it, he was too weak. Tears streamed down his face and he felt Dabi’s hands tugging on his hair. He whined as a last ditch effort to get out of this, but the alpha just tightened his grip. Izuku yelped and was about to follow the order when he heard a growl.
Get your hands off him.
Suddenly Dabi was thrown across the hall and Kacchan was standing in his place. He quickly picked Izuku up and wrapped his arms around him.
“K-Kacchan…”
“I’m so sorry, I shouldn't have left you alone. Are you okay? Did he do anything to you?”

Katsuki pulled away and searched over every inch of Izuku’s body.
“I-I’m okay.”
With Katsuki’s grip on Izuku’s shoulder, he could feel the omega trembling. He growled and stepped into the hallway. That man was going to regret ever messing with his omega. He walked to the man who was still on the floor.
“So this is the famous, ‘Kacchan’”
“Don’t you dare call me that. Do you know who I am?”
“Of course, Ground Zero.
“Then you know not to mess with me.”
“Oh, I’m so scared!”
The man stood up and smoke began billowing out of Katsuki’s hands.
“K-Kacchan don’t! He’s an S rank villain!”
“So what? I’m top 4 hero.”
Without further notice, Katsuki leapt at the villain, pinning him against the ground. He got a few hits in before bringing the man up to his face.
“Don’t you ever touch him again, understand?”
“Whatever.” The villain replied, wiping the blood off his face and stalking off.
Katsuki ran back to Izuku who was crumpled on the floor.

Izuku smelled Kacchan near and leapt into the alphas waiting arms. He soaked in all the calming pheromones Kacchan was exuding. The alpha stroked Izuku’s head, and Izuku’s heart slowly calmed down. He sniffed into Kacchan’s neck and clung tightly.
“Let’s get out of here.”
Izuku nodded, but didn’t let go. As Kacchan stood up, Izuku wrapped his legs around his waist and linked his arm’s around Kacchan’s neck.
“Not letting go?”
Izuku shook his head and nuzzled into Kacchan’s scent gland.
“Ngh..okay but you can’t do that..”
“sorry…”

Katsuki walked out of the shop, not even bothering to bring the clothes out the changing room. He ignored all the looks he got from the people in the streets, heading straight for the train station. Not once did Izuku let go, and when they walked through the front door, Katsuki sat down on the sofa with Izuku on his lap. The omega buried his head into Katsuki’s neck and shivers ran down his back.
“What happened?”
He felt Izuku’s hair tickle his neck as the boy shook his head. If he didn’t want to talk about it, Katsuki was okay with that.
“Are you okay?”
Izuku slowly nodded his head, and Katsuki felt slightly better. He glanced at the clock and read the time. 9:00 pm. Katsuki sighed. He was exhausted from the adrenaline rush leaving his body. He slowly felt his head falling and before he knew it, he’d passed out with Izuku in his arms.
Katsuki groaned as he woke up, blinking twice as his eyes adjusted to the brightness. He looked down and felt Izuku’s breath on his chest. He smiled and hugged the omega closer. He’d never leave Izuku’s side again.

Two months passed by and Izuku and Katsuki’s relationship grew deeper. The two slowly began to fall in love with each other. Izuku was still haunted by his past, but having Katsuki by his side made it all worthwhile. Katsuki was just happy the boy he’d loved all those years was once again in his life. The two had their ups and downs, but wouldn’t change any of it for the world.
“I’m home!”
Katsuki walked in through the front door, breathing out with exhaustion. His day at work had been long and hard, and all he could think about was passing out. He looked up when no one answered.
“Hello? I said I’m home!”
Again no answer. Katsuki was confused. Izuku always told him if he was going to be out when Katsuki got home. He looked into the kitchen and saw noodles cooking on the stove. Izuku would never leave something cooking if he wasn’t watching it. Katsuki’s heart sunk. He threw his bag to the ground and stumbled over the shoes he’d just taken off. He ran into the bedroom the two now shared, but saw no one. He turned around and burst into the bathroom. He looked down and saw Izuku whimpering and withering on the floor.
“Izuku? What’s going on?”
“K-Kacchan...help me”

Chapter Text

Katsuki rushed to Izuku’s side, scanning the omega’s body for any obvious injuries.
“Izuku? Izuku can you hear me? What’s going on?”
Katsuki’s eyes trailed down and saw Izuku’s pants were soaked. Suddenly everything clicked. It’d been a few months since Izuku had his last heat. Not at a time like this! Katsuki thought. The two still hadn’t come up with a concrete plan for when Izuku went into his next heat. Katsuki had been thinking about it at work today and had meant to bring the topic up at dinner.
“Come on, let’s get you up.”
Katsuki leant down, the sweet pheromones clogging all senses. He shook his head to try clear it and wrapped his arms around Izuku’s waist. Izuku weakly held on with his arms and legs. As the alpha walked out of the bathroom and into the lounge, his knees buckled and he almost collapsed.
“S-stop that!”
Izuku didn’t stop though. Katsuki took a shaky step, swallowing the heat rising in his core. Katsuki let out a breathy moan as Izuku took a bite of his neck. The omega then ran his tongue over Katsuki’s scent gland and the alpha felt like he couldn’t take another step.
“I-I said to stop!”
Somehow Katsuki managed to make it to the sofa, and collapsed, his legs unable to support him a moment longer. Izuku sat in Katsuki’s lap with his head still nestled in the alpha’s neck. The omega nibbled and licked at the scent gland, and shivers ran through Katsuki’s body. Izuku moved up from Katsuki’s neck, onto his jaw, then cheek, then the corner of his mouth-
Stop.”
Without realising it, Katsuki had given an order. Izuku instantly stopped and looked at Katsuki with a gleam in his eye. The omega’s pupils were dilated, fully taken over by his heat. But Katsuki couldn’t let this go on if Izuku didn’t know what he was doing. Even though the pheromones tugged at his brain, he squeezed his eyes tight and tried to block the instincts from taking over. He wasn’t going to make the same mistake as last time.
“Do you really want to do this?”
Izuku whined.
“I need you Kacchan~”
Izuku started grinding on Katsuki’s hips, and the alpha had to hold his hips down.
“So you want to do this?”
“Yes!”
Katsuki was having trouble keeping focused. He just wanted to take this omega right then and there, filling him up and impregnating him. At least that’s what his instincts were telling him to do. He forced those thoughts out his head.
“Would you be saying yes if you weren’t in your heat?”
Izuku whined and didn’t respond. Instead, he tugged at Katsuki’s shirt.
Would you be saying yes if you weren’t in your heat?”
This time Katsuki commanded Izuku to tell him the answer. The order had obviously brought Izuku out of his trance for a moment, and Katsuki watched as a calculating look washed over the omega’s face.
“I-I don’t know..”
“Well, then we shouldn't be doing this.”
Katsuki made to get up, but Izuku stopped him.
“No, don’t go I-I don’t want to do this alone..”
Suddenly Izuku burst into tears, and Katsuki froze. What was going on? Why was he crying?
“Please Kacchan, I just want the pain to go away..”
Katsuki gave in. Seeing Izuku in this much pain wasn’t worth anything. He cupped Izuku’s chin and turned his head so the two were looking at each other. Before Katsuki could move an inch, Izuku smashed their lips together. It was a rough, sloppy, tear filled kiss, but it set off fireworks in Katsuki head. He felt himself being pulled in, and this time he didn’t resist.

The next few days were spent satisfying Izuku’s needs, whether that was cleaning, eating, or having sex. The only time Katsuki left Izuku’s side was to get something to eat or to go to the bathroom. It was the end of the 4th day, and Katsuki lay in bed, cradling a sleeping Izuku in his arms. Katsuki prayed the omega’s heat would be over in the morning. He didn’t know how much longer he could keep this up for. Who knew an omega in heat had so much energy? At least Katsuki had remembered protection this time.

Katsuki woke up to an empty bed. He groaned and rubbed his eyes as he sat up. Swinging his legs over the edge, he got up and made his way to the noise in the kitchen. Izuku stood over the stove, in nothing but underwear and an apron.
“Morning.”
“Morning Kacchan!”
“You’re in a good mood this morning.”
“Well, my heat’s finally over.”
Thank god,” Katsuki muttered to himself.
“My hips hurt a little, but it’s nothing too bad.”
“Do you remember everything that happened?”
Katsuki smirked as Izuku’s face went bright pink, then a deep shade of red. Izuku cleared his throat and placed a plate of food in front of Katsuki.
“Breakfasts ready!”
Katsuki didn’t press the matter, although this was the perfect opportunity to tease Izuku.
“Hey, would you mind seeing a doctor?”
“W-what?”
“Not like at a hospital or anything. You see, I know someone who I went to highschool with and he became a doctor. He kind of owes me a favour, so if it’s okay can he drop by and just make sure you’re all okay and healthy?”

Izuku felt bad. He could hear the concern in Kacchans voice, and before he’d fully gone over the pros and cons, he agreed.
“Really? Thank goodness. I’ll ask him when he’s free.”
“Okay..”
“Oh also, I have to go to work tomorrow. The agency isn't really happy with how many days I’ve been taking off recently.”
“Sorry..”
Izuku didn’t hear the rest of what Katsuki was saying as his mind drifted off. He wondered what it was like to have a quirk, to be a hero. He’d always admired them. When he was a kid he wanted to be like All Might so badly, and during his years in the ‘business’, he’d regularly kept up with the news on Ground Zero. Even though he knew it would never happen, he still kept notes on all the heroes.
“Izuku?”
Izuku was pulled from his thoughts by someone calling his name.
“Hmm?”
“I said are you sure?”
“Sure about what?”
“Did you not hear anything I just said?”
“Sorry, no..”
“It’s okay. All I said was I just got an email from the agency. They want me to go on a 2 day trip out of town. Is it alright with you?”
“Oh, yeah of course!”
“Great, I’ll tell them now.”
In truth, Izuku didn’t want Kacchan to go, but he couldn’t say that.
“When do you leave?”
“Next week.”
“Oh, okay.”
The day went by without any further occurrences, and Izuku fell asleep with his back pressed against Kacchans.

Suddenly Katsuki’s last night before leaving came. Katsuki was worried about Izuku, he didn’t know if leaving him home alone for 2 whole days was such a good idea. He was starting to rethink his decision when Izuku spoke up.
“Say Kacchan...could you scent me?”
“You want me to what?!”
The two had decided to take it slow. Katsuki didn’t want to cause Izuku any pain, and as much as it tormented him, he’d wait an eternity if it meant he could be with Izuku. The last time the two had done anything intimate was during Izuku’s last heat, and that had mostly been for purpose, not pleasure. They hadn’t talked about it much lately, so Katsuki was surprised at Izuku’s sudden request.
“Every time I go out by myself I feel really scared, and I know other alphas are looking at me. Especially now that you’re going to be gone for a few days, I feel really insecure. I understand if you don’t want to do it, but I just thought I’d ask..”
“No, no, no, of course I’ll do it!”
“You will?”
“Of course.”
Izuku threw himself at Katsuki, and he stumbled back with the sudden weight. He fell into the sofa and smirked when he felt Izuku smiling in his neck. Katsuki tentatively rubbed his neck against Izuku's scent gland and suddenly felt his core light on fire. A light moan escaped his lips, but that was nothing compared to the noises in his ear. Izuku was letting out breathy pants, and small little moans. The omega was squirming in Katsuki’s lap, and the alpha had to hold Izuku’s hips still. All sorts of pheromones were in the air, and they made Katsuki’s head spin. He felt Izuku lift his head off, the omega’s eyes slightly droopy and his hair even messier than usual. He leaned in, and Katsuki followed to meet him. Their lips connected and the same feeling washed over him like last time. Fireworks exploded inside him, and his skin tingled with every touch. When Izuku pulled away, Katsuki leaned forward, not wanting to break the kiss. He snapped out of it and felt his face growing warm. He coughed and apologised, slipping out from underneath Izuku. He muttered a “night,” to Izuku as walked to the bedroom, wanting to get an early night’s sleep before his trip tomorrow. He slipped under the covers and rested his head on the pillow. He felt someone getting into the bed next to him, and turned around to face Izuku.
“What are you doing?”
“I wanted to sleep with Kacchan.”
Katsuki didn’t know why he was asking this. The two always slept together, but the air was different between them. Katsuki sniffed the air and caught a faint scent of distress pheromones. He instantly felt guilty as he realised Izuku was the one who’d released them, obviously distressed over Katsuki’s reaction to them kissing.
“Come here.”
Katsuki held his arms open, and without a moment's hesitation, Izuku moved into them. Katsuki released calming pheromones, and within minutes he heard the small noises Izuku always made when he was sleeping. Katsuki soon followed, holding tightly to the omega in his arms.

Chapter Text

Izuku blinked awake and found himself tangled with Kacchan. The blanket had been discarded in the night, and the two held each other close to keep warm. Izuku sniffed and checked the time. He gasped and shot up, half dragging Kacchan with him.
“Kacchan!”
At the mention of his name, the alpha groggily opened an eye.
“What?”
“Get up! You’re going to be late!”
The alpha sat up and furrowed his brows in confusion.
“Your train! It leaves at 8:30 doesn’t it?!”
“SHIT!”
Kacchan leapt out of bed and checked the time. 8:05 am. He had 25 minutes to get ready and get to the train station.
“FUCKING HELL!”
Izuku watched as the alpha ran around frantically, stuffing last minute items into his bag. He himself quickly got up and ran to the kitchen, making Kacchan something to eat on the train. He heard the shower turn on, and then quickly off. Kacchan ran into the kitchen, shirt half on and pants undone.
“That was the quickest shower ever!” Izuku chuckled.
“I don’t have time for silly things like shower’s!”
“Right, right.”
Izuku checked the clock. Kacchan still had 10 minutes, he was going to be fine. That didn’t stop the alpha from running around. Izuku stood at the door with the bento box in his hand. Kacchan slipped into his shoes and swung the door open.
“Here you go!”
Izuku held the box out, and Kacchan quickly took it before running down the pathway and down the street. Izuku watched him go and his heart clenched. The alpha hadn’t even said goodbye.

Izuku spent the next 2 days lying around and let himself slip back into old habits. He hardly ate anything and felt himself spiral down. He felt empty, lost, and he didn’t know what to do. Izuku wanted, no he needed Kacchan, but he wasn’t there. The omega felt his stomach rise up to his throat, and he ran to the bathroom, but all he threw up was bile. Izuku coughed and wiped his mouth on the back of his hand. A sharp pain punctured his heart and Izuku cried out, clutching at his shirt. He gulped down deep breaths before making his way to the bedroom he and Kacchan shared. Slumping on the floor, h hung his head in defeat. Silent tears slid down his face and dropped on the floor. The thoughts he’d tried so hard to push away all came rushing back
Why am I still here?
Am I really worth it?
Nobody loves me.
How can they?
I’m disgusting.
I’m not even being used for sex anymore, so what’s the point in staying.
Just do it, it’d be better for everyone with you gone.
Izuku bought the scissors up to his wrist, and pressed down, but couldn’t bring himself to cut.
“NO!”
He threw the scissors across the room. No, he’d promised Kacchan he wouldn’t do it again. He drew his knees up to his chest and rested his head on his arms. He wanted to shrink away. He lifted his head up and stared at the abandoned scissors. Who’d care if he did it? Yes, he promised Kacchan, but so what? That alpha didn’t care about him. Surrounded by his thoughts, Izuku didn’t hear the door open, letting in a slit of light. Sobs wracked through his body and he cried out in pain. Suddenly someone smothered him, and Izuku froze. The smell hit his nose and more tears stung his eyes, rolling down his cheeks.
“Kacchan!”
He pushed into Kacchan’s chest, and the two fell backwards, colliding with the floor.
“Kacchan, Kacchan, Kacchan..”
Izuku muttered the alpha’s name into his chest and felt his hand running through Izuku’s hair.
“Shhh it’s okay..”

Katsuki dropped his bag and ran towards the cries. He burst through the door and say Izuku slumped against the wall. He threw himself at the omega, smothering him. Releasing as many comforting pheromones as he could, he clung tight to the boy.
“Kacchan!”
Katsuki felt Izuku push into his chest, and the two fell backwards, his back connecting with the wooden floor.
“Kacchan, Kacchan, Kacchan..”
Izuku muttered Katsuki’s name into his chest, and he ran a hand through the boy’s hair.
“Shhh it’s okay..”
He held on tight to Izuku and slowly picked him up. Walking over to the bed, he carefully placed the omega on it, before slipping in next to him. Covering them with the blanket, Katsuki opened his arms for Izuku to fill. Without a moment’s hesitation, the omega clung tight to Katsuki, and he could feel tears soaking through his clothes. Katsuki let the boy cry his heart out, vowing to never leave his side again.

A deep rumble came from Kacchan’s chest as Izuku lay on top of it. He loved sleeping next to Kacchan. It was so comforting, smelling him, feeling his warmth, but this was definitely his favourite part. He loved the purring sound that erupted from Kacchan when he slept. Sometimes Izuku would stay up later than him just to hear the sound. With one ear resting on the alpha’s chest, Izuku felt himself lulling to sleep, a small smile on his face and he answered with his own, soft purr. He wouldn’t change this for the world. He was so glad he hadn’t ended it all those months ago. He truly was.
“I’ll be good. I promise, Kacchan.” Izuku whispered into the darkness as he let himself give in to the pull.

Izuku yawned and squinted in the morning light. He felt warmth and snuggled closer to it. Breathing in the cinnamon and forest scented smell, Izuku felt at peace for the first time in a long while. Yesterday’s feelings tugged at him, but he forced them away, wanting to enjoy this moment. He felt Kacchan move slightly, and Izuku looked up at the alpha, to find crimson eyes staring back.
“Morning~”
Kacchan smirked and placed a soft, gentle kiss on Izuku’s forehead.
“You feeling better this morning?”
“Sort of.”
“I’m sorry, I never should’ve left you alone.”
Izuku didn’t reply. He didn’t know what to say without making Kacchan feel guilty.
“I’ll never leave you again, I promise.”
Izuku’s heart swelled, and tears stung his eyes, but this time they were tears of happiness.
“I love you Kacchan.”
Izuku gasped as he realised what he’d just said. He wasn’t meant to say that out loud. Just as he was about to cover up his mistake, Kacchan replied.
“I love you too, Izuku.”

Chapter Text

Izuku groaned and sat up in bed. He looked to his side and saw Kacchan missing. His head hurt from crying so much last night, and he had a heavy hold on his heart, but it wasn’t as bad as before. He slipped out of bed and walked into the kitchen.
“Kacchan?”
Kacchan was standing by the counter, preparing something Izuku couldn’t quite see.
“Morning!”
“You’re in a good mood this morning. You never get up early.”
“Well, I wanted to make sure you had a nice breakfast before your appointment today..”
Oh, that’s right, Izuku thought, the doctor’s coming today. Izuku silently sat at the table and waiting for Kacchan to finish. He was so nervous, the little food he ate hardly tasted like anything. This is my first proper meal in a few days. Izuku picked at the food on his plate, not feeling hungry at all.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just a little nervous..”
“Don’t worry, I know this guy. He’d never do anything to hurt you.”
He’s right, Izuku told himself, Kacchan would never hurt you.
Their breakfast was interrupted by a knock on the door.
“I’ll get that,” Katsuki said, getting up and walking to the front door.
“Morning, Katsuki.”
“Morning, Hitoshi.”
They're on first name basis? They really must be close..
Izuku stood up, bowing his head.
“This must be Izumi.”
Hitoshi walked towards Izuku, and the omega flinched. From the smell, he could tell this man was an alpha, but he smelled different.
“Hi, I’m Dr. Shinso, but you can call me whatever.”
Izuku looked up and met eyes with the purple haired man.
“I-I’m Izuk-Izumi..”
“Right, Izumi, well I just wanna do a few routine checks to make sure you’re doing all right.”
“O-Okay..”
Hitoshi opened his suitcase and brought out a few medical instruments. He took Izuku’s blood pressure, heart rate (which was abnormally high), and a few blood samples. He also asked a few questions, to which Izuku tried his best to answer truthfully. Thankfully, Hitoshi didn’t look beyond his shirt’s collar, so he didn’t see the bitemarks that scared Izuku’s skin.
“Okay, I think that’s all I need to do. I’ll do some blood tests and the results should be back within a few weeks.”
Izuku bowed and muttered a quiet, “thank you.”
He sat back down and watched as Kacchan lead Hitoshi to the front door. When the door closed Izuku released a breath he didn’t know he’d been holding. Kacchan pulled him into an embrace, which Izuku returned.
“You did so well.”
Tears Izuku had been trying so hard to keep in spilt from his eyes.
“I was so scared.”
“I know, I know.”
The alpha combed through Izuku’s hair reassuringly and kissed the top of his head.
“It’s alright. I’d never let any harm come to you.”
Izuku didn’t understand why he was receiving this kind of affection, after everything he’d done, but he soaked every bit in.

Months went by and the boys’ bond only grew stronger. Izuku was more confident around Katsuki, and Katuski’s coarseness had been worn down slightly. The two had fallen into a routine, and Izuku had finally started to feel more like a human, like he had a home. Kacchan walked through the door one night as Izuku stood over the stove, making dinner for the two.
“You’re home early!”
“Yeah, I managed to get all my paperwork done quickly.”
“Is that so?”
Izuku set the plates down on the table as Kacchan slumped into a chair. Izuku slipped out of his apron and took a seat opposite the alpha.
“Thanks for the food!”
“Thanks for the food.”
Even though the two weren’t talking, it was a comfortable silence. But inside, Izuku was freaking out. He’d decided to ask Kacchan today, and he was confident about it, but now he was just plain nervous.
“S-say Kacchan..”
“Yeah?”
Izuku looked up from his hands and felt his cheeks warming up.
“What’s wrong?”
Izuku looked away and fidgeted in his chair.
“Ummm...I was just wondering..”
Izuku shook his head. He’d built up the courage to ask, and he wasn’t going to let that go to waste.
“You were wondering what?”
“I-I was wondering..”
“Yes?”
“I WAS WONDERING WHERE WE ARE!”
Izuku clenched his eyes shut and screamed it out.
“...Where we are?”
Izuku’s face lit on fire.
“Y-yeah you know, like in our relationship and stuff..”

Oh, Katsuki thought to himself, that’s what he means.
“Well..”
Katsuki rubbed the back of his neck nervously. It wasn’t that he hadn’t thought about this kind of stuff, it was just he wasn’t sure what Izuku wanted him to say.
“Where do you want us to be?”
Katsuki took the safest route and made sure Izuku was the one to set the boundaries. The two hadn’t been too touchy feely since their confession that one night weeks ago. The only sign of affection was when the two fell asleep in each other’s arms.
“I-I don’t know..”
Katsuki wasn’t sure how to reply, so he decided to take the lead, like the alpha he was.
“I’m ready when you are, okay Izuku? I don’t want you to push yourself into something you’re not comfortable with. I know where my feelings stand, and I’ll wait an eternity if it means I can spend a few more minutes with you.”
Ugh, I didn’t mean to make it sound that cheesy.
Katsuki searched Izuku’s eyes for his reaction and saw a thousand different emotions flicker across them. Oh no, had he gone too far too quickly?
“I mean-”
“Me too. Kacchan, I-I..I wanna be with you, I really do..”
Katsuki’s heart stopped, then leapt. Did Izuku just say he wanted to be with Katsuki?
“W-what?”
“I said I’m ready Kacchan. I’ve made you wait long enough, and I couldn’t imagine being away from you.”
Katsuki jumped up and ran over to Izuku, tackling him. They both fell down to the floor and burst out laughing. God, he hadn’t heard Izuku laugh like this for so long. It sounded just as beautiful as he remembered. Katsuki finally felt at ease. If only for a moment, all his worries and concern slipped away as he held this boy closely.

“S-So, does this mean we’re dating?”
Izuku blushed, still needing confirmation from Kacchan.
“If that’s what you want.”
“Yes, it’s what I really, really want.”
His smile widened as he lifted his head to press his lips against Kacchan’s. This kiss was unlike all the other ones. It felt deep, real. It was so passionate yet soft Izuku never wanted to pull away. Suddenly, Kacchan’s hand was on the back of Izuku’s head, pulling him in closer. His eyes widened in shock as Kacchan slipped his tongue into Izuku’s mouth. Brushing off the moment of hesitation, Izuku fought back against Kacchan’s tongue. However, being the alpha, Kacchan won, and his tongue explored Izuku’s mouth. Izuku felt Kacchan’s hand moving from his side down to rest on his inner thigh. Just as Izuku started pulling at the hem of Kacchan’s shirt, their moment was broken by a knock on the door.

“Tch.”
Katsuki stood up and walked over to the door. Who could be interrupting him at this hour? He opened it and saw a nurse standing at the door.
“Can I help you?”
“I was sent to deliver the blood results.”
“Couldn’t you have just sent them by post?”
“No, they were marked as confidential, so I was sent to deliver them personally.”
“Oh, okay.”
Katsuki took the envelope and was about to close the door when a thought came into his head.
“What took so long? Hitoshi said they’d only take a few weeks.”
“Oh, there was a problem at the hospital, so all non emergency tests got delayed for a bit.”
“I see..”
Katsuki didn’t press the matter more and said goodbye to the nurse. He looked down at the envelope, worried about the results inside. Surely nothing was wrong with Izuku, right?

“Who was that?”
Izuku watched as Katsuki made his way to stand next to him. He was still sitting on the floor, wanting to give Kacchan some privacy.
“A nurse.”
“A-A nurse? What did they want?”
“They came to deliver your results.”
“Oh.”
Izuku had almost forgotten about the results. He took the envelope Kacchan handed him and instantly felt sick to his stomach.
“If you want, I can leave you alone for a minute.”
Kacchan began to walk away and Izuku tugged on his shirt sleeve, pulling him back.
“No, don’t go.”
“Okay.”
Kacchan sat down next to Izuku, and the omega leaned into him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, the calming pheromones Kacchan was releasing coating his tongue with a sweet taste. It’s okay, he told himself. Izuku slipped his finger underneath the flap and opened the envelope. Taking out the piece of paper, his eyes scanned for anything obvious.
Terminal illnesses: none
Mental illnesses: depression and anxiety; medication to be delivered weekly
So far so good. Izuku’s eyes travelled down the page and his heart stopped.
Fertility: low; continuous use of heat suppressants has damaged reproductive systems
Time stopped. No, this couldn’t be happening. His sole purpose in this world as an omega was to bear children. What good was he if he couldn’t even do that? He slowly stood up, dropping the paper and walking into the bedroom.
“Izuku?”
“I’m fine, I just need time to think.”
Izuku closed the door behind him and sunk to the floor.

Katsuki grabbed the paper and read through it. He looked at the bottom and read Fertility: low; continuous use of heat suppressants has damaged reproductive systems. This was obviously what had upset Izuku so much. Everyone knew it was an omega’s whole purpose to bear children, and they had such a strong maternal instinct, learning something like this must be heartbreaking. Katsuki stood up, and walked to the bedroom door, knocking twice.
“Can I come in?”
The door swung open and Izuku leapt into Katsuki’s arms, sending them to the floor. Tears fell from Izuku’s eyes, and Katsuki held him close, pressing the omega’s nose into his neck.
“I’m sorry, I’m so, so sorry..” Izuku wailed.
“What are you apologising for?”
“I understand if you want to leave me. Who’d want an omega who can’t even have children? What’s the use in me anymore?”
Katsuki lifted Izuku’s head up and looked deep into the forest green eyes.
“Just because you can’t have children, doesn’t make me any less in love with you. I didn’t fall in love with you because you were an omega. I fell in love with your personality, your kindness, your selflessness, your smile, your laugh, your eyes, your heart, your everything.”
Katsuki wiped away the tears spilling from Izuku’s eyes and gave him a small smile.
“Besides, it doesn’t say you can’t have children, it just says there’s only a small percentage. That just means our children are going to be miracles, and we’ll love them with all our heart.”
“K-kacchan..”
Izuku clung tight to Katsuki, and the alpha felt fingernails digging into his back, but he didn’t say anything. The most he could do right now was be there for this boy, in any way he could.

Izuku jolted awake, panting heavily from the nightmare that had invaded his sleep. Kacchan groaned and Izuku looked down at the alpha. He sighed in relief to see he hadn’t woken him up. Izuku slipped out, careful not to disturb Kacchan and walked out the back door, wanting to get some fresh air. He breathed in the smell of spring flowers and smiled. It was cherry blossom season, his favourite of them all. Izuku sat on the steps and leaned back on the door. He closed his eyes, taking in the midnight sounds. Finally, at peace, Izuku stepped back inside and fell asleep next to Kacchan.
Izuku groaned as he sat up and held his head.
“What’s the time?”
6:21 am.
He silently walked to the bathroom and hopped in the shower, revelling at the warmth it gave his body.
“What’s going on with me?”
“What?”
Izuku jumped and almost screamed. He turned around and came face to face with Kacchan.
“K-K-Kacchan? What are you doing in here?!”
“I’m going to be late for work, and I didn’t think you’d mind if I joined you.”
“Oh..”
“Now move, you’re hogging the water.”
“S-sorry.”
Izuku moved out the way and picked up the shampoo bottle.
“Here, let me help.”
Kacchan took the bottle from Izuku and squirted some into his hand before massaging it slowly into Izuku’s hair.
Izuku chuckled as he remembered last time they’d done this together.
“What’s so funny?”
“Nothing.”
“Oh yeah?”
Kacchan turned Izuku around and looked him in the eyes.
“W-what?”
“Nothing.”
“H-hey no fair!”
“I just think you look really beautiful when you’re wet.”
Izuku’s face lit on fire.
“N-NOT LIKE THAT!”
Kacchan quickly turned Izuku back around and started washing his own hair. Izuku made incoherent noises as he covered his face with his hands. He stepped out the bath without looking where he was going and slipped on the soap lying on the ground.

“Izuku!”
Katsuki reached out just in time to save Izuku from falling. He pulled the omega to him and felt all the blood rush from his face. He breathed out and clung tight to Izuku.
“Are you okay?”
Izuku didn’t reply. Katsuki looked down and saw his face frozen in shock. Katsuki turned the shower off and helped Izuku out the bath. Drying the omega off, he wrapped a towel around his own waist before getting the hair dryer out. Just as he was about to turn it on, Izuku slumped to the floor.
“Hey! Are you okay?”
Katsuki knelt down next to Izuku, placing a hand on his back.
“I-I’m fine..”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, I just got a really big shock that’s all.”
“Okay..”
Izuku tried to stand up, but had to lean on Katsuki for support. The alpha dried the omega’s hair and then his own while Izuku went into the bedroom to get changed. When Katsuki walked in, he saw Izuku sitting on the edge of the bed, clutching his head.
“What’s going on?”
Katsuki rushed to his side and knelt down in front of him.
“Nothing, I’ve just got a little headache.”
Katsuki placed his hand against Izuku’s forehead.
“You’re burning up. I’ll get a thermometer.”
“Really Kacchan, I’m fine. The shower was just a little too hot for me.”
“I’ll get it just in case.”
“No, you need to get going otherwise you’re going to be late.”
When Kacchan still wouldn't listen, Izuku stood up and smiled.
“Look see, I’m fine. Now get dressed, I’m going to make breakfast.”
Izuku walked as quickly as he could out of the bedroom. In actual fact, he wasn’t fine. His skin burned and his head pounded, but he couldn’t tell Kacchan this. The alpha would insist on staying home to look after Izuku when he really needed to get to work. Izuku made a quick and simple breakfast so he wouldn’t have to think too hard about it. As they stood at the door, Kacchan turned around one last time.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
“I’m absolutely great Kacchan, really.”
“If you say so, but call me if anything happens, okay?”
“I promise.”

Kacchan placed a tender kiss on the top of Izuku’s head and walked down the street. As soon as he was gone, Izuku closed the door and slumped onto the floor. He panted and couldn’t stand back up. He crawled to the bathroom, knocking over a few things as he tried to reach for the first aid kit. Pulling out the thermometer he waited until it beeped before taking it out. 39 degrees celsius. Izuku sneezed, then passed out.

Katsuki couldn’t stop worrying about Izuku all day. He knew something was up, whether or not the omega would admit it. He’d worked really hard the whole morning, and had managed to get everything done by 1 in the afternoon. Katsuki rushed out of the agency, hopping onto the train just as the doors were about to close. He looked down at his phone, tempted to call Izuku. He then realised Izuku didn’t have a phone. Katsuki had never gotten him one, and there was no way the omega would ever buy something like that for himself. Katsuki internally cursed at himself, making a mental note to get one for the boy tomorrow. The train stopped and Katsuki jumped off, making his way to the house the two boys shared.
He opened the front door and called, “I’m home!”
He faintly heard someone reply and walked towards the sound. He first looked in the bedroom, then turned to walk into the bathroom. Katsuki looked down and saw Izuku lying on the floor, clutching his stomach. The omega looked terrible. His skin was flushed, yet deathly pale. Sweat covered his body and he was doubled over in pain.
“I told you, you weren’t okay!”
Izuku tried to reply but was sent into a fit of coughs.
“Don’t talk, I’m calling Hitoshi.”

Izuku wanted to protest but felt too weak to say anything. He watched as Kacchan typed a number into his phone looked down nervously at Izuku while holding it to his ear.
“Hitoshi? Something’s wrong with Izuku and I don’t know what to do.”
Izuku?
“I-I mean Izumi.”
Right, what’s going on?
“I just came home to see him lying on the bathroom floor. He looks very pale and is sweating profusely.”
Does he have a temperature?
“Hang on, I’ll check.”
Izuku opened his mouth as Kacchan stuck the thermometer he’d used that morning in his mouth. They waited until it beeped, and Kacchan pulled in out, reading the numbers.
“It says 38.9 degrees celsius..is that bad?”
It’s pretty bad..does he have any other symptoms?
“He looks really red and he’s clutching his stomach.”
I think he’s got a fever. There’s not much you can do but wait it out. Make sure he’s warm and give him lots to eat and drink. Call me again if anything happens.
“Alright, thanks Hitoshi.”
Izuku opened his eyes when he felt Kacchan picking him up off the floor. The alpha laid him down on the bed and covered him with the blanket.
“I’m going to make you something to eat, okay? Call me if you need anything.”
Izuku nodded and watched as Kacchan walked into the kitchen. when the alpha came back into the room carrying a bowl of what smelled like chicken noodle soup, Izuku pulled on Kacchan shirt.
“What’s wrong? What do you need?”
Kacchan leaned in to hear Izuku’s whisper.
“Can I have a mask?”
“A mask, what do you need that for?”
”I don’t want to get you sick too.”
“You don’t have to worry about me I-”
“Please Kacchan..”
Kacchan sighed, and walking into the bathroom, walking back seconds later with a mask in hand. Izuku took it from him and put it over his mouth, feeling slightly better. At least Kacchan would have a smaller chance of getting sick now.
“You should put one on too, just in case.”
“In a minute, first eat your soup.”
Izuku weakly sat up, pressing his back against the headboard.

Katsuki watched until Izuku had finished the last spoonful, taking the bowl to the kitchen and rinsing it out. When he came back, Izuku was passed out. Katsuki relaxed a little and covered the omega before closing the door. He sat down on the sofa and closed his eyes. How had Izuku gotten sick? He hadn’t been out in a while. Katsuki let these thoughts run through his head as he fell asleep alone for the first time in a while.

Izuku sneezed and sat up, cradling his still pounding head. He stood up and stumbled a bit before making it to the door. Using the wall for support, Izuku walked into the living room. Coughing into the mask he hadn’t taken off before falling asleep, he fell to the floor.
“Kacchan..”
He heard someone moving, and then the floor creaked next to him.
“Izuku what are you doing up?”
“I missed Kacchan..” Izuku croaked.
Kacchan sighed and leaned down to pick the omega up. Izuku clung tight to the alpha, not letting go even when he was put back in the bed.
“You need to sleep it off Izuku.”
“I don’t wanna sleep without Kacchan.”
He looked up at the alpha who was hovering over him. Izuku lifted a hand and brought it behind the pro hero’s neck, bringing him closer as he gently kissed the other boy.
“I-Izuku?”
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry I don’t know what came over me I just-”
“I swear if you get me sick you’re gonna get it.”
“Sorry, Kacchan.”
Kacchan tussled Izuku’s hair and walked over to the other side of the bed. Slipping in, he pulled Izuku closer.
“But won’t you get sick?”
“I doubt it, I haven’t gotten sick in years.”
“Stupid alpha perks.”
“Well, if I got sick, who’d take care of you?”
“I can take care of myself.”
“Right, right.”
Even though Izuku said this, he loved Kacchan taking care of him, and hoped the alpha would do it forever.

Katsuki woke up, and looked down at Izuku’s sleeping face. Pressing a hand to the omega’s forehead, glad to feel his fever had gone down.
“Morning Kacchan..”
“Sorry, did I wake you?”
“No.”
“How are you feeling?”
“Better.”
“I’m glad.”
Katsuki leaned down and pressed a kiss to Izuku’s forehead.
“I'm going make breakfast, you stay here and rest, okay?”
“Okay, Kacchan~”
“Any requests?”
“Hmm..can I have some Tamagoyaki?”
“Sure.”
Katsuki smiled down at the omega and walked out of the room. He wanted to make sure Izuku had a good breakfast so he could regain his strength after being sick. He was plating up the food when he heard Izuku calling for him.
“Yeah?”
“I can’t get up..c-could you help me?”
“Of course.”
Katsuki walked up to the bed and picked Izuku up in his arms.
“Aaahh I can walk, I-I just need some help..”
“It’s okay, I like this much more.”
Katsuki smirked as Izuku covered his face with his hands. He liked making the omega embarrassed. He put Izuku down in one of the chairs and went to get the food. Katsuki dug in, feeling the effects of skipping dinner last night. When he looked up, he noticed Izuku had hardly touched his food.
“What’s wrong? Need me to feed you?”
“N-no..I’m just thinking..”
“About what?”
“It’s nothing.”
“If it’s bothering you it’s important.”
“I just feel..guilty I guess. You don’t know what I’ve done and that’s not fair to you. What if you don’t love me after knowing who’s touched me where how many times.”
“Izuku look at me. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. I don’t care about all that stuff. You’re out of there now, and that’s all that matters. I know never in a million years would you have chosen to that, you were forced to. I wish with all my heart everyday that I could take it all away, all the hurt, all the pain, but I can’t. All I can do is love you for who you are, no matter what you’ve been through.”
Izuku looked back down at his hands. Katsuki wanted to say something more, but couldn’t figure out what.
“I’m sorry.” Izuku choked, tears welling in his eyes.
“Don’t apologise.”
Katsuki stood up and walked to crouched down next to Izuku.
“I love you Izuku. I love you with all my heart.”
“Do you really mean it?”
“Every single word.”
Izuku sniffed and Katsuki watched as the tears rolled down the omega’s cheeks.
“I-I love you too Kacchan!”

Izuku stood up only to fall in the alpha’s arms.
“Izuku?”
The omega suddenly felt very faint and let out a whimper as his stomach suddenly cramped.
“Are you okay?”
“I-I’m fine.”
Izuku got up off Kacchan only to fall to the ground.
“You most certainly are not fine,” Kacchan muttered.
Kacchan carefully picked him up and started walking to the bedroom. Izuku pressed his nose into Kacchan’s scent gland and drunk up the smoky, cinnamon, caramel scent. He ran a tongue over the alpha’s neck and suddenly Kacchan stopped in his tracks.
“D-Don’t do that!”
In response, Izuku took a little bite and sucked on the skin.
“I-Izuku! What are you doing?!”
That’s when both the omega and alpha realised Izuku’s pants had been soaked through.

Chapter 18: what they don't know

Summary:

Chapter Text

Hunger ignited in Izuku’s stomach. His pupils dilated and he shifted his position in Kacchan’s hold to make himself more comfortable. Dipping into the alpha’s neck, Izuku took a large mouthful of skin, biting and sucking on the sensitive area. He ran his tongue down from Kacchan’s jawline to his collarbone. He felt the alpha shiver and smirked.
“If you keep this up I won’t be able to move.”
Izuku didn’t relent. He kissed his way up to Kacchan’s mouth and sucked on his bottom lip. He heard the alpha growl and Izuku stopped, bowing his head submissively. He knew he’d been too rough and dominant, pushing Kacchan too far. He dug his nails into the boy’s back and felt him walking towards the bedroom. Izuku whined and squirmed in Kacchan’s hold.
“Stop squirming!”
Izuku couldn’t help it. He needed friction, touch, anything to fill the empty hole in his stomach. Suddenly he was thrown on the bed, bouncing slightly before resting on his back. He rolled onto his side and drew his legs up to his stomach, holding on tight.

Katsuki gagged slightly at the intense amount of pheromones the omega was releasing. It was a mixture between sickly sweet heat pheromones and acidic distress ones. The alpha finally let go of the knot in his stomach and allowed himself to walk up to the bed, hovering over the omega. Before he could decide which move to make next, Izuku turned around and pulled Katsuki in by the back of his neck. The alpha gave in to his instincts and fought back. Forcing the green haired boy’s mouth open, he slipped his tongue in, revelling in the hot, wet feeling. Pulling at Katsuki’s shirt, Izuku moaned into his mouth.
“More..”
Katsuki pulled his shirt over his head before doing the same to Izuku. Pushing the omega up against the headboard, Katsuki started being rough. Tugging on his green hair, pulling at his lips, biting and sucking on his neck, making sure to stay far enough away from his scent gland. He slipped a hand past the waist of Izuku’s pants, and slowly tugged them off until the omega was left in only his underwear. Katsuki left a sloppy trail of kisses down the boy’s chest before running his tongue back up.

Izuku whined, annoyed at the teasing.
“More Kacchan~”
He knew the alpha was enjoying it, but he needed release so badly.
“Please..”
Getting impatient, Izuku tugged at the blond’s pants, earning a growl from the alpha. Izuku whined, grinding his hips against the bed looking for any sort of help. However, hands suddenly gripped his waist, pushing him into the mattress.
“Oh no, you don’t.”
Izuku whimpered and clung tightly to Kacchan’s back as he was lifted onto the alpha’s lap. Rising up above him, Izuku crashed their mouths together. He could feel Kacchan’s hands making their way down his back. He gasped as hands slipped past his underwear and moaned in ecstasy before suddenly snapping out of his trance. Izuku felt adrenaline coursing through his veins and a cold shiver ran up his spine. He froze in place, slowly looking down at the man before him. Green eyes met crimson ones, and Izuku leapt back, falling off the edge of the bed in his haste to get away. His mind clouded over and his heart stopped. Where was he? Whose room was this? Why was this man with him? Was he another client? As much as Izuku tried to remember, his mind came up blank. He couldn't remember how he’d gotten here or who this person was. All those thoughts vanished from his head as the strong smell of alpha hit his nose. An alpha in rut. Izuku staggered back over to the bed and pushed the boy down. Smashing their lips together in a frenzy, Izuku straddled the alpha’s hips and ground down.

Katsuki was left alone and confused as he watched the omega forcefully push him away and leap off the bed as far away from Katsuki as possible. That was all forgotten as Izuku was on him again, grinding down on his hips, making small noises. Katsuki couldn’t take it anymore. The flush of Izuku’s cheek, his long eyelashes slowly closing, his frame, his everything was too much for Katsuki. He threw Izuku down on the bed and followed suit, colliding together. Slipping out of his pants, he tossed them aside, followed by both boys’ underwear. Katsuki scanned Izuku’s body from top to bottom, noticing all the scars and scratches, before his eyes rested on the omega’s lower half. He dragged his gaze up to meet green eyes staring at him hungrily. Forgetting all sense of control, Katsuki flipped Izuku around, pressing his chest into the bed. Pulling the boy’s hips up to meet Katsuki’s, he heard a whine from Izuku, followed by a sob. Quickly retracting, he turned the boy around and saw tears spilling down Izuku’s face.
“What’s wrong?”
“N-nothing.”
“Why are you crying?”
“I’m not..”
“Kinda hard to lie to me when I can see you.”
“Really I’m fine, I just need you so bad..”
These words being enough to fuel Katsuki, he flipped the omega around again and the two went on all night.

Izuku yawned and winced as he turned onto his side. His hips felt like they were on fire and he felt dirty. He wanted to get up and take a shower, but he doubted he could walk in his condition. His movements must’ve woken Kacchan up, cause he felt a hand pulling him closer and he snuggled up to the alpha’s chest. Izuku knew his heat wasn’t done, but he was thankful for this moment’s break before the next wave came.
“You up?”
Izuku nodded his head, his curls brushing under Kacchan’s chin.
“We should get you cleaned up and put some food in you.”
Izuku felt slightly sick with his full stomach, but didn’t argue. He liked Kacchan taking care of him, so he didn’t object when the alpha picked him up and carried him to the bathroom. Suddenly, Izuku felt a dizzy spell wash over him, and he had to grab the sides of the bath to prevent himself from toppling over. Clutching his head, he winced when the water stream hit his back.
“Is it too hot?”
“A little.”
Izuku’s skin felt overly sensitive, and even though the temperature wasn’t hot, the stream of water was hard and rough on his body. However, once Kacchan’s hands were running over his back, and massaging shampoo into his hair, Izuku relaxed a little, forgetting the pain for a moment. Izuku was fascinated by how Kacchan could be so rough yet so soft at the same time. He doubted the alpha showed anyone else this caring, compassionate side and Izuku felt kind of happy that he was the only one who saw it. Izuku sneezed and Kacchan leaned over to press a kiss on his cheek, making the omega turn pink.
“Bless you.”
“Thanks..” Izuku muttered.
He wasn’t used to getting this much nice attention, so it was hard to understand at times. The boy looked down at his hands and leaned into Kacchan’s touch as the silky conditioner was combed through his hair. Izuku couldn’t remember the last time he’d been cared for this nicely, and he decided he could definitely get used to this. Kacchan helped him out the bath, and Izuku dried himself off before following the alpha back into the room. Within a few short steps, his heart started pounding and he clutched his chest as his breathing became irregular and painful. The room tiled, and Izuku felt himself leaning to one side.
“Kacchan I’m going to-”

Chapter Text

Katsuki ran to catch Izuku before he collided with the floor. Sliding underneath the omega, he felt the air leave his lungs as Izuku fell on top of him. Quickly sitting up, the alpha shook the boy, looking for any sort of response but he was limp.
“Please wake up!”
Katsuki cradled Izuku close, pushing the boy’s head into his chest. The alpha released all sorts of pheromones, trying to trigger Izuku to wake up. Hearing a groan, Katsuki loosened his tight grip on Izuku and watched as the boy opened an eye.
“Kacchan?”
“Izuku! You’re okay! Thank god you scared me to death.”
“Sorry. What happened?”
“I don’t know. One moment you were following me into the bedroom and the next you were falling.”
“But I don’t feel pain?”
“I caught you before you landed.”
Izuku tried to stand up, but Katsuki held him down.
“Woah hang on there, I don’t think you should stand up so soon.”
Izuku clutched his head and sat back down.
“Can I get you anything?”
“Would you mind fetching me a glass of water?”
“Of course. Wait here for a second.”
Katsuki quickly rushed into the kitchen before returning with water. Passing it to Izuku, he watched as the boy downed the glass in one go. This is my fault, Katsuki thought, I haven’t been taking good care of him. He took the glass from Izuku and placed it on his desk before helping the omega up and into the bed. Just as he was about to put some pants on, the scent hit him and he whipped around to see Izuku squirming around on the bed, hand between his legs, and Katsuki’s last thought before giving in was fuck.

By the end of the next two days, Katsuki was beyond exhausted. Between keeping up with Izuku, cleaning the omega and making sure he was fed and hydrated, Katsuki felt like he could sleep for days. When the green haired boy had finally lulled to sleep, Katsuki slipped in next to him, falling asleep within seconds.

“Kacchan?” Izuku whispered, opening an eye.
When the alpha didn’t respond, Izuku quietly slipped out of the bed and dressed before walking to the front door. He knew the local supermarket would be open, and if he was quick he’d get back before Kacchan woke up. Walking through the aisles, Izuku scanned the shelves for the omegan pregnancy tests. Because of their hormone levels, omega’s could tell if they were pregnant the next day. Picking up a fairly normal looking one, Izuku paid for it before quickly walking back home. Slowly clicking the door closed behind him, he tiptoed to the bathroom and sunk to the cold floor, nervous about what he was soon to find out.

Izuku opened his eyes, taking a deep breath in. Looking down, he scanned the little screen for even the faintest show of a second line. Tilting it at different angles, looking in different shades of light, Izuku found only one solid line. He breathed out and felt his stomach bubble. As relieved as he was, a wave of sadness washed over him. He couldn’t help it, he was an omega - it was in his nature. However, he knew Kacchan and him were in no position to be having children, physically or emotionally. Burying it deep into the trash can, Izuku walked out, hanging his head low. Making sure his pheromones weren’t too obvious, he walked into the kitchen to start preparing dinner.

Katsuki took a sniff of the air as Izuku walked in. He swore he faintly smelt an off scent, but it wasn’t strong enough to fully capture the alpha’s attention. Putting his book down, he walked into the bathroom and turned the shower on. Blowing his nose, he was about to throw the tissue in the trashcan when something caught his eye. Pulling the object out of the bin, his heart sunk. Why was there a pregnancy test in the trash can? He slowly walked into the kitchen, keeping his eyes glued to the little screen, forgetting about the running water. Was Izuku pregnant? This couldn’t be happening. Even though something had happened like this before, back then it hadn’t really sunk in. Katsuki stared hard at the lines, trying to remember if one or two lines meant positive. Stopping in the lounge, he looked up at Izuku’s back. He took another whiff of the air and definitely caught distress pheromones.
“Izuku?”
The boy in question turned around with a see through smile on his face.
“Yes, Kacchan?”
The omega’s face dropped when he saw what Katsuki was holding.
“W-Where’d you get that?”
“It was in the trash can.”
“You weren’t supposed to see that.”
“Are you pregnant?”
Izuku didn’t answer, bowing his head to look at the ground. He sniffed and Katsuk could see tears welling in those green eyes. Walking up to him, he pulled the omega into a tight hug. Katsuki felt the tears soak through his shirt, but didn’t mind. He let the omega cry out his feelings before letting him go.
“I’m sorry..”
“It’s okay. I’m not mad. I just want you to tell me the truth.”
“I’m not pregnant.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. Two lines are positive and there isn’t even the slightest trace of another line on there.”
Izuku burst out crying again and Katsuki held him close, stroking his head.
“It’s okay,” Katsuki soothed.
Letting a deep purr erupt from his chest, Katsuki released comforting pheromones, hoping to calm the omega down slightly. He knew how hard it was for omega’s to hear they weren’t pregnant. He led Izuku to the sofa and sat him down before walking back to the kitchen to finish making dinner. However, a tug on his sleeve made him look down at the omega staring up at him with those irresistible eyes Katsuki fell for every time. Sitting down next to the boy, he let Izuku cuddle up next to him.
“Listen. I think you should go to a therapist.”
He felt Izuku tense up next to him and knew this wasn’t the right thing to say.
“I just think it’s for the best. There’s a lot of stuff going on right now, and it’s not healthy for you to keep it all inside.”
“I don’t wanna go.”
“But I just think-”
“I said I don’t wanna.”
Katsuki sighed. Izuku rarely showed his stubborn, unsubmissive side, so Katsuki knew a therapist was out the window.
“Are you sure? I really think it’s for the best.”
“Please Kacchan, I really don’t wanna go.”
Katsuki couldn’t say no to this boy and he hated himself for it.
“Fine, but only if you promise me you’re okay.”
“I promise Kacchan.”
Izuku got up and Katsuki watched him walk back to the kitchen, rushing to his side when Izuku collapsed.

“Izuku are you alright?!”
“I’m fine, I just tripped is all.” Izuku lied.
In truth, he’d suddenly lost feeling in his feet and collapsed to the floor, but he couldn’t let Kacchan know that. Steadily getting up, he quickly made his way to the counter which he leaned on for support. Turning around, he gave Kacchan a reassuring smile before continuing to chop the vegetables.
“Sit down, dinner’s going to be ready soon.”
Izuku took his place opposite Kacchan and drank a spoonful of the miso soup, despite losing his appetite earlier that afternoon. He took a small mouthful of rice, chewing slowly and thinking about recent events.
“Are you okay?”
Izuku looked up to see a blond man sitting opposite him. Furrowing his brow in confusion, he didn’t reply.
“Izuku?”
How did this man know his name? What was Izuku doing eating dinner with him? As if a switch flipped on, Izuku shook his head and answered the question.
“I’m fine Kacchan.”
“Are you sure, cause your face and smell are saying something completely different.”
“Really. I’m just thinking through some things.”
“You can talk to me any time okay? Don’t keep these things to yourself?”
“Yes, Kacchan.”
Izuku kept a cool facade, but was panicking internally. This was the second time he’d forgotten what was going on, if only for a split second. Something was definitely wrong with him.

Chapter Text

The room spun and Izuku placed his feet on the floor to try recoordinate his body. Once the spell was over, he looked behind him to see a man fast asleep. Shit! Izuku had accidentally stayed over at a clients house. Quickly slipping into his clothes, he tiptoed out the room, hoping to leave before he got caught. He must’ve been so tired he fell asleep accidentally. This wasn’t good. He was going to get in so much trouble. Creeping through the lounge, he was about to open the front door when he heard a creek behind him.
“Where are you going?”
Izuku whipped around and came face to face with the man whose name he couldn’t remember.
“Izuku? Are you okay?”
Izuku eyes widened and his heart rate picked up. How did the client know his real name? He never told that to anyone. He watched as the alpha walked closer and place a hand on his shoulder.
“I-I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have stayed the night. I’m sorry for waking you up, I was trying my hardest to quietly leave. Please don’t tell my boss, he’ll flip if he found out I stayed the night at one of the houses.”
“What are you going on about?”
Izuku looked up and sunk into the crimson eyes. Breathing in the cinnamon caramel scent, Izuku snapped out it and shook his head.
“What? What’s going on? Kacchan?” Izuku asked, confused.
“That’s what I’m wondering. I’m calling Hitoshi.”
Izuku watched as the alpha walked away to the bedroom. He sunk to the floor and clutched his head. What was wrong with him? Was he sick? He waited until he felt Kacchan sit down next to him and cuddled up to the alpha’s side.
“What’s wrong with me Kacchan? I’m sick aren’t I?”
“I..I don’t know.”
Izuku sniffed and pressed into the alpha’s neck.
“Sometimes I forget who you are, just for a moment. What if one time I forget who you are forever?”

Katsuki let the information sink in. That’s why Izuku had been acting weird these past few days. He should’ve asked the omega sooner what was wrong. He internally screamed at himself for being such a bad alpha. All he ever did was bring harm to Izuku. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea for them to be together. Katsuki never did anything right. What if one day that led to a terrible accident? Now Izuku was sick and for all Katsuki knew it could be some horrible terminal illness with no cure. And it would all be Katsuki’s fault.

As Izuku waited for the doctor to arrive, his mind wandered and found comfort in the dark hole he always fell into. As if he wasn’t already sick enough, now he had some extra illness. Izuku knew his purpose in this world was to please alphas and bare children, but was that really a reason enough to live? During his time working under the boss, he thought about giving up. He thought it wasn’t worth living anymore if all he was going to be used for was sex. But then he came to a realisation that was his purpose. As an omega, that was all he was good for. He gave up trying to fight and just let anyone and everyone do whatever they wanted with him. He’d been a shell of a human, losing all emotion and feeling. What was the point in letting those things get in the way if this was how he was going to live? Just when he thought he’d hit rock bottom, Izuku got news that his mother had been in an accident involving a ‘League of Villains’. She hadn’t survived. Even though Izuku hadn’t seen her in years, and didn’t know if he ever would again, the thought that there was still one person out there kept Izuku going. But now she was gone, and there was no one left for Izuku. Nothing was tying him to this world, so why stay? One day he decided it was time, and headed to the tallest building in his area. He took his time climbing up, breathing in as much air as he could, keeping these last few moments to himself. No one was going to miss him, no one was going to care when he was gone, and Izuku finally felt at peace for the first time in forever. Even when he was a child, he’d been quirkless, abused, useless, worthless, used. The only thing in this world he cherished was his mother and Kacchan, but one was dead and the other never gave him a second thought. He remembered whispering his final goodbye to the world as he fell backwards, before being caught by the last person he ever thought he’d see. Now here he was, leaning against the very alpha that had saved his life all those months ago. Izuku started scratching at his arms, trying to inflict pain to bring him out of the memories and into reality. When he felt a warm hand on his own, he looked to the side and met eyes with Kacchan.
“It’s okay.”
Leaning in, the two brushed lips, and warmth travelled from Izuku’s lips all the way down to the tips of his toes. He remembered this was why he was living. He was living for this man.

Kacchan helped Izuku stand up as they heard a knock on the door. Izuku stood by while Kacchan opened it up, revealing Hitoshi standing there.
“I came as quickly as I could.”
“Thanks, Hitoshi.” Kacchan said, letting the purple haired man in.
“Now, what seems to be the problem?”
Both alphas looked at Izuku.
“W-Well, a few things have been going wrong lately.”
Izuku felt intimidated and very scared. Even though this was the second time he’d been with the doctor, it still made him panic.
“I’ve been feeling very dizzy and faint, and sometimes I find it hard to walk because my legs feel weak. I’ve also had 3 incidents where I’ve forgotten who Kacchan is, and where I am. I really don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
“Okay, I’m going to take a blood sample, just to confirm my thoughts.”
“What do you think it could be?” Katsuki asked as he held Izuku’s hand tight while the doctor drew a sample of Izuku’s blood.
“Well based on your symptoms description, there are a few things that it could be.”
Placing the syringe back into his suitcase, Hitoshi took out a scale.
“Please step on this.”
Izuku followed the instruction and waited until he was told to step off.
“You’re still underweight, are you eating enough?”
“Yes,” Izuku lied.
Truthfully, especially these last few days, Izuku had lost his appetite.
“Well, either you’re lying or the scale’s broken.”
Izuku didn’t reply and instead looked down at the ground.
“I just want to ask you a few more questions okay?”
Izuku nodded and answer every one truthfully this time.
“How long do you think until we get the results?” Kacchan asked as he lead the doctor to the door.
“I’ll prioritise the tests. You should get the results tomorrow.”
“Okay, thanks again Hitoshi.”
“Any time.”
Kacchan closed the door and Izuku looked up at the alpha. He hugged the boy, and let out a light purr when he combed through Izuku’s hair, placing a soft kiss on top.
“It’s going to be fine. You’re okay. I’m sure it’s nothing, just a little cold or something.”
Izuku knew Kacchan was lying, but he took it all in, wanting to believe it so badly.

Chapter Text

Standing in the bathroom, Izuku looked at the pill bottles lined up in front of him. When Hitoshi had visited again with the results, he’d prescribed Izuku numerous medications. Along with both types of depression pills (for his depression and PTSD) and his anxiety pills, he also now had supplements and epoetin alfa. Apparently, he’d been diagnosed with anaemia.
“I’m not sure how we didn’t pick it up the first time we took blood tests, but it’s clear on the tests now. I’m going to prescribe you epoetin alfa pills as well as supplements, but I really want you to make sure you’re eating enough and of the right foods. I’m also upping the strength of your depression pills, and I want you to take 2 of each instead of one.”
Izuku felt like it was all for nothing. Why was he taking all these pills? How easy it would be to overdose on advil or paracetamol. But no, he was staying here for Kacchan. He just had to keep reminding himself of that, but Izuku just didn’t feel like himself. He didn’t want to take all this medicine. He picked up the antidepressant pills and popped his daily 2 of each in his mouth. Swallowing them with a glass of water, Izuku tilted his head back and stared at the ceiling. Maybe one day there would be a time he wouldn’t have to take all these. He waited for that day.

Katsuki was worried about Izuku. He vowed to keep a closer eye on the omega now. This was his fault after all. He hadn’t been making sure Izuku was eating the right amount and the right things, but he wasn’t going to let it happen again. He made sure the boy took his pills and drank plenty of vitamin water. Unfortunately, Katsuki couldn’t keep an eye on the boy 24/7. He still had to go to work most days, and he’d been given harsher, longer hours recently. He knew the omega was lonely by himself, and Katsuki wanted nothing more than to spend every day with him, but that just wasn’t possible.
Thankfully, over the next few weeks, Katsuki saw an improvement in Izuku. He was genuinely happy more often, and he had even begun to stand up to and tease Katsuki. The two had started going on more dates, and Katsuki tried to make time for the omega whenever he could. They still hadn’t talked much about the sensitive topics, but Katsuki was okay with that. He’d wait as long as it took, and if the right time never came, and Izuku never told Katsuki, the alpha was fine with that as well. It didn’t change how he thought of Izuku, he’d love the omega no matter what. A little rough history wasn’t going to distort the image he had of the boy. He’d be there in any way that he could, whether emotionally, mentally or physically.

Izuku waved goodbye as Kacchan walked out the door for work. He quickly got dressed and made his own way out the door. He was slightly nervous, he hardly went out by himself, but he had a job to do today. He walked to the train station, struggling a bit to buy his ticket, but eventually made it onto the train and into town. He’d done a little research before going and had a list of places to visit. A few retail stores, 2 shops and a cafe. Izuku planned on getting a part time job to help pay and support the two of them.

After going to most of the places, Izuku was beginning to run out of hope. No one wanted to hire an omega with almost no qualifications.  Finally, he got a small interview at the mini cafe, and they said they’d take him on. Izuku was overjoyed to tell Kacchan when he got home.

Katsuki walked through the front door one night, tired after a long day's work. He saw Izuku sitting at the dining room table with a piece of paper in his hands.
“What’s going on?” Katsuki asked suspiciously.
Izuku was bursting with excitement, Katsuki could tell by the smile on his face.
“Guess what?”
It was plain to see that he wasn’t going to wait for Katsuki to guess, so the alpha didn’t bother interrupting him.
Izuku waved a piece of paper in front of Katsuki’s eyes and said, his voice brimming with excitement, “I got a job!”
Katsuki’s heart dropped. He looked at Izuku, not a hint of happiness on his face. Izuku immediately picked up on this, and all traces of excitement were wiped off his face.
“You aren’t happy?”
Tears welled up in the omega’s eyes, and Katsuki immediately crouched down to his level. Sometimes the alpha forgot how sensitive Izuku was, and how carefully he had to say and react to things.
“No, no, no! I’m just..surprised is all.”
Izuku sniffed and looked down at Katsuki.
“It’s just, don’t you think you should give it a little more time before going out into the world?”
“What, so I’m just supposed to wait until I bet ‘better’? Don’t you see Kacchan, this is as good as I’m ever going to get. I want to move on with my life. I want to make things better. I want our relationship to be something we both put work into, not just you. I thought you’d be happy and supportive of me for this, but you’re acting like you always do. You always try to protect me and do everything for me, why can’t I do something for myself for once? I want to help the both of us too you know.”
Izuku walked out of the room, and Katsuki didn’t have a chance to retort.

“I can’t believe him! I do something to help the both of us, and he has the audacity to act like that! I was just trying to help support us. I didn’t think it was fair that he was the one making all the money when all I did was stay at home. He keeps trying to protect and shelter me, and I'm really thankful for that, but it's preventing me from moving on. There are some things I have to do for myself.”
Izuku talked to himself as he walked down the street. He hadn’t realised he’d gotten so far away from the apartment until he stopped in his tracks and looked around, not recognising any of his surroundings. He hardly went out, and when he did it was in broad daylight, when he could recognise buildings and pathways. In the middle of the night, however, Izuku could hardly see a thing and everything looked distorted. Fear settled in, crawling under his skin, and Izuku started to panic. He turned around, trying to spot anything familiar, but he recognised nothing. He crouched down to the ground, trying to grab ahold of his wild emotions. He felt something on his shoulder and whipped around to face a man. No this wasn’t just any man. This man had dark black hair, bright blue eyes and burns covering his skin.
“Are you lost little omega?”

Chapter Text

Izuku scrambled to his feet, backing up when the man walked closer. Soon his back was pressed against a fence and there was nowhere for Izuku to go. Dabi rested his arm above Izuku’s head, leaning in. The took a deep breath in, eyes fluttering.
“That beautiful sweet scent of yours is being masked by your fear. Why are you scared?”
Izuku didn’t answer.
“Not replying, huh? You know, that alpha pulled quite a stunt back in the changing rooms, taking you away from me.”
Dabi lifted Izuku’s head to look him in the eyes.
“I think you’re going to have to pay for that.”
Dabi was so close Izuku could feel his breath on his lips. The villain leaned closer and Izuku shut his eyes tightly. He closed his mind off, letting it slip away, just like he used to. He had no control over this alpha, so he didn’t bother fighting. He submissively parted his lips to allow the man entrance and widened his stance to let the alpha’s leg rest inbetween Izuku’s. Dabi rubbed his leg against Izuku’s, and the omega let out a little moan, knowing it was what the alpha wanted. He forced himself to release sweet pheromones instead of the acidic, fearful ones.
“Yeah, you like it don’t you?”
Izuku whimpered in reply. Maybe if he was submissive Dabi would get it over and done with quickly. Suddenly Izuku was flipped around and his cheek was pushed into the wooden fence. With his arms held behind his back, Izuku had no leverage. He felt his pants being pulled down and let it happen. Tears stung his eyes and he felt them staining his cheeks. He sniffed and wished nothing more than for Kacchan to be here.

Katsuki ran out the door as soon as he snapped back into reality. He quickly followed the omega’s faint scent, but it was hard to make sure he was going the right way. Finally, he turned a corner and saw two people standing under a street light. He immediately recognised the mop of green hair. Katsuki had to fight against his instinct to rush to the omega’s side when the alpha pushed him up against the fence. As much as he wanted to help Izuku, this was Katsuki’s chance. He painfully watched as Dabi kissed Izuku, wanting nothing more than to yank the villain away. Finally, Dabi made the move he’d been waiting for. Katsuki leapt out and pushed the villain into the fence next to Izuku.
“You’re under arrest under law 161; the sexual assault of an omega. You’ll be taken to the nearest police station, and I advise you to keep your mouth shut until we get there you sick bastard. I thought I told you to stay away from Izuku, but you didn’t listen.”
Katsuki held Dabi’s hands behind his back with a tight grip, making sure the villain couldn’t escape. As much as he wanted to comfort and make sure Izuku was okay, he was preoccupied with the alpha in front of him.
He shoved Dabi forwards and muttered, “Get moving.”
“Come on Izuku.”
Katsuki looked behind his shoulder and watched as Izuku pulled his pants up and quickly followed behind him. His face was unreadable, and Katsuki knew he’d have to have a long talk with the omega when they dealt with Dabi. As he looked forward at the villain, Katsuki was happy that he’d finally caught the man in action. Even though they’d had multiple leads towards the alpha, they’d never been able to fully connect the crimes to the man.
“He’s all yours.”
Katsuki signed the paper and walked back into the waiting room to collect Izuku. He found the omega sitting in the corner with his knees drawn up to his chest. Katsuki sighed. He’d fucked up, big time. He crouched down in front of Izuku and waited for the boy to look up. When he didn’t, Katsuki called out his name.
“Hey, are you okay?”
The omega slowly nodded his head, and Katsuki flinched.
“Come on, let’s go home.”
Again, the omega nodded obediently and Katsuki felt his heart sink. The two had made such progress, and he felt like it all just went down the drain. As the two were walking back to Katsuki’s house, he felt Izuku hold onto his hand, and he looked behind him. The boy had his head down, and Katsuki’s face softened. He held tightly onto the omega’s hand and led him home. Walking through the front door, Katsuki helped Izuku sit down on the sofa. He crouched down in front of the omega and lifted his head.
“I’m sorry Izuku, this is all my fault. I overreacted and I’m truly sorry.”
“It’s not your fault. I shouldn’t have applied for the job in the first place.”
“No, that’s not true. I’ve been too overprotective. You have a life too. I didn’t think about your feelings. I was just scared for you. I already lost you once, and I couldn’t imagine it happening again. However, that no reason for me to act the way I have been. I can’t protect you forever, it’s not fair on you.”
Izuku sniffed and turned away from Katsuki.
“Can you forgive me?”
Katsuki felt horrible. He’d made this boy feel guilty when it really was Katsuki’s fault. Izuku looked back at him and gave a small smile, but the alpha knew it was forced.
“Of course.”
Izuku’s normally readable face was blank, so Katsuki couldn’t tell what the omega was really thinking. Katsuki held his arms open and the omega leapt into them, burying his face into the alpha’s scent gland, who gladly released pheromones for the boy to take in. Without asking, Katsuki picked up Izuku and bought them into the bedroom. Carefully, laying the sleeping boy down, he took his place next to him. The guilt was eating away at Katsuki, but for now, Izuku was safe in his arms.

Izuku woke up in Kacchan’s arms, and he smiled into the alpha’s chest. Then last night's events came flooding back and Izuku flinched. His movement obviously woke Kacchan up, as the alpha stirred and held Izuku closer. The omega clung tight, thankful Kacchan had interrupted Dabi when he had. He was truly in debt to this man. Although he was still slightly angry at him, Izuku couldn’t harbour those feelings forever. He knew Kacchan had Izuku’s best interests at heart, and the omega was forever grateful he'd finally found someone who truly cared about him in a way no one else ever had.
“What you want to do today?”
Izuku looked up at Kacchan and frowned, unsure what to answer.
“I don’t know, what do you want to do?”
“I want to take you out on a date.”
Izuku blushed and buried his face into the other boy’s chest.
“What do you say? Wanna go?”
“...yes.”
Izuku smiled and relished the warmth Kacchan’s bare chest gave him.
“Let’s get ready then.”
Izuku whined slightly when Kacchan got up, leaving him cold and alone in the bed.
“Come on, let’s go.”
“Noooo come back Kacchan~”
Kacchan rolled his eyes and pulled Izuku out of the bed and into the shower. Izuku stripped the rest of his clothes and walked into the warm water, letting it run over his face. Thinking back to last night, relief filled Izuku. The villain was finally captured, now that was one less thing he had to think about. Izuku squealed slightly when he felt Kacchan press up against his back. The alpha rested his head on Izuku’s shoulder and the omega relaxed. The man wrapped his arms around Izuku’s waist, pulling him closer.
“I’m so sorry Izuku, I let you down last night. I’m never, ever going to let you go.”
Izuku leaned back into Kacchan’s embrace and stroked the blonde head.
“It’s okay, I’ll be fine. He’s gone now anyway.”
Suddenly Izuku was twirled around, and Kacchan stared down at him with a smirk on his face. Brushing the wet curls out of Izuku’s eyes, Kacchan leant down to capture the omega’s lips.
“I love you.”
Those words were whispered against Izuku’s lips, and he ate them up.
“I love you too.”

Chapter Text

How did Katsuki get in this position? He was currently sitting down on a chair, with a needle to his ear. How the fuck did Izuku manage to convince Katsuki to get a piercing?!
“Hold still!”
Katsuki winced slightly as the needle went through his ear. How could he get beat up by a villain but not take this?
“There we go!”
Katsuki opened his eyes and looked at Izuku who was standing in the corner of the room.
“Let’s see!”
Katsuki turned his head to the side to show off the helix piercing in his left ear.
“It looks so good Kacchan!”
Izuku gave the alpha a thumbs up and a smile.
“Now go wait outside,” he said, giving the alpha a little push out the door.
“What?”
Before Katsuki could ask why, the omega closed the door.

“I’m out Kacchan!”
Izuku walked over to the alpha who had taken a seat in the waiting room.
“What did you do in there?” Katsuki asked, looking over Izuku’s ear to see where he got the new piercing. Izuku smirked and winked.
“You’re not gonna find it there.”
Katsuki's heart pounded and let himself be led out the piercing parlour. Where could Izuku have gotten that piercing? The two didn’t say anything until they got to the cinema.
“Do you want butter on your popcorn Kacchan?”
Katsuki didn’t hear the question the first time. Or the second. He only paid attention to the omega when he got a sharp whack on his shoulder.
“I’m talking to you!”
“Hmm? Sorry wasn’t listening.”
“I said do you want butter on your popcorn?”
“Whatever you want is fine.”
Izuku smiled. Good, Katsuki had chosen the right option. After getting their popcorn and drinks, Katsuki and Izuku walked into their chosen movie. Halfway through, and Katsuki was getting bored. It was some superhero movie he had absolutely no interest in. Looking down at the popcorn bucket, he noticed Izuku had hardly eaten any.
“Hey Izu, are you okay? You’ve hardly touched the popcorn.”
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
Izuku glanced at Katsuki sideways, and the alpha tried to lean in for a kiss, only to be blocked.
“Nice try.”
Katsuki frowned as he went back to his seat. Had he done something wrong? Why wouldn’t Izuku kiss him? Pouting, the alpha went back to the movie.

That was a close one, Izuku thought. He knew if Katsuki kissed him, it wouldn’t be a simple peck. His tongue was still sensitive. Even though he’d forcefully had it pierced before, he’d forgotten how swollen it got. Izuku turned back to the movie and didn’t notice when Kacchan fell asleep 15 minutes later.
Izuku sat up and stretched. His limbs were sore for sitting still for so long, and the movie had made him a little sleepy. Shaking Kacchan awake, Izuku collected his belongings before heading down the aisle and towards the exit. He cast a glance over his shoulder to make sure Kacchan was following him. Waiting for the alpha at the exit, Izuku smiled when he saw the blonde.
“Ready to go home?” Izuku asked.
“Don’t you wanna get something to eat?”
“I would, but you seem like you’re going to fall asleep standing up.”
“Sorry. I didn’t sleep well last night.”
“Well, let’s go home then. I’ll make something for us.”
Opening the front door, Izuku asked Kacchan what he wanted for dinner.
“I really don’t care.”
The alpha slumped onto the sofa as soon as they stepped into the house. Within minutes, he’d fallen asleep. Izuku placed a blanket over him and went to bed alone for the first time in ages.

Izuku stretched and smiled at the light coming through. He’d thoroughly enjoyed his time with Kacchan yesterday, and was in a good mood because of it. He walked into the bathroom and stuck his tongue out, checking his piercing. The swelling had gone down, and even though it was slightly sensitive, it was fine. Izuku didn’t know how it had healed so quickly but didn’t think twice about it. Walking out of the bathroom, he was greeted with Kacchan fast asleep on the sofa, exactly where he’d left him last night. Izuku walked over to the alpha but tripped in the process. Cursing, he rested on his elbows and looked up to see Kacchan holding out a hand.
“You okay?”
Izuku smiled and took the hand, being pulled into Kacchan’s embrace. The alpha buried his nose into Izuku’s scent gland, taking a long breath.
“You smell so sweet.”
“Kacchan!”
Izuku tried to pull away from the alpha’s grip, rather embarrassed by how touchy Kacchan was being. Suddenly Izuku flushed and felt rather faint. Collapsing into Kacchan, the alpha stepped back with the added weight.
“Hey, are you alright?”
“I-I think I need to sit down.”
Kacchan led him to the sofa, and as the blonde was about to go get the omega a glass of water, Izuku pulled him down.
“Izuku?”
“Kacchan~”
Izuku crashed their lips together in a haze of lust that suddenly overcame him. He felt himself emit a suffocating amount of pheromones but didn’t stop them. His pants soaked through and Izuku clutched at the alpha’s chest. Kacchan pulled off and held Izuku away.
“What the fuck is that?”
Izuku didn’t even know what Kacchan was talking about as the fog in his mind overcame the rest of his body. He tried dipping down again, only to be held back by Kacchan.
“Stick your tongue out.”
Izuku whined and didn’t do as the alpha said.
I said stick your tongue out.”
Izuku followed the pull in his stomach and stuck his tongue out.
“Did you get a tongue piercing yesterday?”
Izuku smiled and ran his hand up Kacchan’s chest.
“Just. For. You.”

Katsuki felt his face heating up, and he shivered underneath the omega’s touch. Smelling the pheromones and feeling his skin, Katsuki knew Izuku had just gone into his heat. Even though he knew he should probably do something about it, the smaller boy was so enticing, and with the new piercing Katsuki couldn’t help but give in to his instincts. The alpha looked up at his whining omega, lips pouting, cheeks flushed and tears pricking his big, green eyes and his heart skipped a beat. This was the face that made Katsuki want to lose control every time. His omega really was the cutest. Flipping them around, the alpha pushed Izuku hard into the cushions.
“You asked for it.”
Time stopped. Katsuki opened his mouth wide, and in the moments before he bit down on Izuku’s neck he could feel his canines suddenly grow and sharpen.

Chapter Text

The next 4 days went by in a flash and Katsuki couldn’t remember most of it. He picked his omega up and carried him into the shower. Stepping out of the room, Katsuki looked behind his shoulder to see Izuku looking up at him with his big round eyes, pouting slightly.
“What’s the matter?”
“Nothing…”
“Come on, don’t give me that shit.”
“It’s nothing...I just wanted to shower with Kacchan…”
Katsuki sighed.
“If that’s all you wanted, you could’ve just asked.”
As Katsuki walked back into the bathroom, he chuckled a little at the delighted expression on his omega’s face.
Ruffling the green hair, he said, “You really are silly, you know that right?”
Izuku nodded his head vigorously and hugged Katsuki tightly.
“I love you…”
Izuku’s voice was muffled by Katsuki’s chest, but the alpha understood him.
“Come on, let’s get you cleaned up.”
Katsuki turned the water on to fill up the bath and looked down at Izuku’s legs. Red marks lined the omega’s inner thighs, and Katsuki winced.
“Why didn’t you tell me to stop?”
“Hmm?”
“The past few nights. I can obviously see I was being too rough, so why didn’t you tell me to stop?”
“Because…”
“Because what?”
The omega blushed a deep red and muttered, “because I didn’t want Kacchan to stop.”
“You still could’ve said something.”
“I guess...but it made me so happy having you there.”
Katsuki sighed and shook his head. If his omega was happy, he was happy too.
“So, wanna tell me why you got a tongue piercing?”
“I-I thought Kacchan would like it…”
Katsuki had to admit it had been a whole different experience with the piercing, almost more pleasurable, and he knew he was going to have a lot of fun with it in the future. Katsuki smiled at the omega and stroked his cheek, lifting his head slightly to place a small peck on the smaller boy’s lips.
“I do like it.”
Izuku winced slightly and Katsuki frowned.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, it’s just a little sensitive.”
Katsuki’s heart raced. He’d read up on piercings before, and knew how easily they could get infected.
“Open your mouth.”
Izuku obliged and Katsuki held it open with his fingers. The alpha poked Izuku’s tongue slightly, and the omega whimpered. He could see a slight bump on the front of the piercing, and Katsuki sighed. It had been infected and it was probably his fault. He was rough with Izuku the past few days, leaving no time for the piercing to heal.
“I guess we’re going to have to deal with this now.”
Katsuki got out the bath and walked to the kitchen, where he made a salt solution for the omega to wash his mouth out with. Bringing it back to the bathroom, Katsuki cleaned his own piercing. It was looking good, and Katsuki was thankful his hadn’t gotten infected, but he’d have to be a lot more careful from now on.

Izuku watched as Kacchan cleaned his piercing. He loved it on the alpha. It was a brilliant ruby red, perfectly bringing out the dark crimson in his eyes. Izuku liked having someone in common with the alpha, and a piercing was the perfect thing. It sounded silly, but Izuku felt like it made them seen more together, in a way. The omega lifted his arms above his head and winced when his skin stretched by his neck. Bringing his hand to it, he felt bitemarks and not the few he’d had for a long time. This one was fresh. How had he not noticed it before? Walking over to join Kacchan at the mirror, Izuku turned his head to examine the mark.
“K-Kacchan?”
“Yes?”
The alpha turned to look at Izuku.
“D-Did you do this?”
Kacchan’s gaze went to the omega’s neck, and his features tightened.
“Did I?”
“That’s what I’m asking.”
“Fuck. Fuck, what have I done.”
The alpha sunk to the ground, clutching his head. Izuku knelt beside him, resting a hand on Kacchan’s strong back.
“Hey! It’s okay! I was just...surprised is all.”
Kacchan looked up at Izuku, shaking his head slightly.
“No, it’s not okay. This isn’t how it was supposed to go.”
Izuku smiled slightly and kissed the alpha’s soft cheek.
“It’s okay, we’ll get through it. It’s not the worst thing to ever happen you know.”
Izuku went back to the bath and tapped next to him, gesturing for Kacchan to join him. Yes, it was a little strange knowing he’d been claimed by the alpha, but at the same time it was reassuring. It meant Kacchan wanted him. But he didn’t even know he’d done it, Izuku thought. Was it just because Kacchan gave into his instincts? Was this a mistake? Izuku’s breath quickened and his eyes flitted.
“Hey! What’s going on?”
Izuku looked up at the alpha solemnly.
“Did you not want to claim me? Was it just a mistake? Was it you being pulled in by instincts?”
“No! Not at all! I didn’t exactly plan for it to go like this per se, but I still wanted to do it.”
The omega breathed out slightly. If Kacchan said he wanted to do it, he probably did.
“Okay…”
Kacchan tucked a stray strand of hair behind Izuku’s ear and smiled.
“What are the chances we’d find each other again.”
Pulling the omega into a hug, Kacchan kissed the top of Izuku’s head.
“I’d never trade you for the world. I don’t think I’ll ever stop being grateful for having you in my life. Those years you were gone were the most painful I’ve ever experience. I love you so much, Deku. I love you so much it hurts.”
Izuku gasped at the use of his nickname. However, this time it was filled with love and kindness, not the harsh, unworthy one he’d heard his whole childhood.
“I love you too, Kacchan.”

Katsuki had noticed Izuku’s mood swings the past few days. The omega could go from smiling brightly to shouting to crying in a heartbeat. Katsuki was thoroughly confused and was slightly concerned when Izuku had started being sick. Katsuki considered taking him to the hospital, but when he offered Izuku immediately shut the idea down. On one particularly bad day, Katsuki had considered skipping work but only went when the omega insisted.

“I’ll be fine, really.”
Izuku leaned in to brush his lips against Kacchan’s and smiled when the alpha whispered in his ear.
“I’ll be right back.”
Izuku waved goodbye and watched as the blonde boy went to work. It truly is beautiful when someone chooses to stay by your side even when they can fly away, Izuku thought.
Izuku closed the door and walked to the bathroom. Something had been on his mind recently, but Izuku ignored the nagging feeling in the back of his mind. Taking his pills, Izuku turned his head to the side to see the fresh bite mark on his neck. He smiled, feeling content Kacchan had finally claimed him. He’d been a little unsure at the beginning, but now he knew this was what he wanted. Everything felt peaceful for once in the omega’s life. Maybe he could actually settle down and live a happy life with this man. Walking out of the bathroom, Izuku contemplated what to have for breakfast. He’d made an omelette for the alpha but hadn’t made one for himself. Honestly, even just the smell of eggs had made him want to be sick, so he didn’t think he could stomach actually eating them. The past few days he’d been off, but he just put it down to some silly stomach bug. Izuku spent the day cleaning the house and preparing dinner. He made a last minute decision to head to the shops before Kacchan got home. The feeling hadn’t left him all day, and he had to confirm his suspicions.
Izuku checked the clock once again and was disappointed to see it read 11:00 pm. Kacchan should’ve been home long ago, yet here the omega was, alone. He rested his head on the counter and tried his best not to fall asleep. When he felt himself slipping, he shook his head. No, he had to stay awake. He had to wait for Kacchan to get home. He had to...he had to tell Kacchan...
Izuku fell off his seat when he heard someone burst through the door. Walking into the lounge, he could see about 4 people, besides Kacchan, pushing through the door.
Izuku caught Kacchan’s eyes and could see the words ‘sorry’ written across his face. He sent the alpha a reassuring smile and was quickly bombarded by the group of people.

“So you’re the famous Izuku I’ve heard so much about,” Kirishima said, nudging Izuku.
“Wait, what?!” Mina screamed.
“You know who Izuku is?” Kaminari added.
“Umm, I-I mean, well, eek,” Kirishima said, throwing Katsuki a ‘sorry’ glance. Katsuki had only ever talked about his past and Izuku with Kirishima.
“H-Hi!”
Izuku waved at the group, and Katsuki could see the omega was uncomfortable. He didn’t want these jerks to come over, but they had literally pushed their way in.
“Okay! Goodbye now!”
Katsuki herded his friends and pushed them out the door.
“Wait! We haven’t even gotten to talk yet!”
“H-Hang on Bakugo!”
“Dude, stop pushing me! I’m gonna fall over!”
Katsuki slammed the door and locked it. Looking over to Izuku, he could see a shocked expression painted on his face. Rubbing the back of his neck nervously, he walked up to the omega.
“Sorry about that.”
“I-It’s okay.”
“Sorry for being late too. The agency had me doing paperwork overtime.”
“I see.”
“What are you still doing up? Did we wake you?”
“No, I was waiting for you to come home.”
“I thought we talked about this before. You shouldn’t wait for me. Who knows when I’ll come home when I work overtime.”
“I know..but I like seeing you when you come home.”
Katsuki smiled and his heart burst. What had he done to deserve such a loving omega? He really was the luckiest man on the planet.
“What’s wrong?”
“Huh?”
“You smell...different. Are you okay? Did something happen?”
“Listen, Kacchan...there’s something I have to tell you.”

Katsuki walked in, quietly closing the door behind him. He slipped out of his shoes and tip toed his way towards the sound. He peeked his head around the corner and saw Izuku standing in the kitchen, gently swaying from side to side. The omega’s hands rested on his growing stomach, and his eyes were closed in bliss. A small smile adorned his face as he softly sang to their unborn children.
I’ll be good, I’ll be good
And I’ll love the world like I should
I’ll be good, I’ll be good
For all of the times, I never could...
Katsuki watched as Izuku finished singing and wanted nothing more than to capture this moment forever. He smirked when Izuku opened his eyes, and a blush erupted on his face as he saw Katsuki leaning against the door frame.
“Kacchan!”
“I’m home.”
