Chapter 1: The Twins
Chapter Text
You jumped at Dabi’s voice as he shouted your name; the urgency in it was causing your mind to kick into gear and you near leaped out of bed.
In your haste, realising it was still dark outside your quirk had to turn all the lights on. By the time you reached the living room, your quirk had already ripped the door from its hinges, you’ll put it back later, revealing a sweaty Dabi and unconscious Touya; the burn marks on his arms looking similar to that of his twin.
“Oh my god” Without hesitation you grabbed your injured boyfriend and helped him over to the couch. Laying him down gently, quirk already getting to work, its wisps instantly healing his burns and making sure not a trace is left on his fair skin.
“That stupid old man, I swear one of these days I’m gonna-”
“Dabi please calm down” He looked at you, face tired and stressed from having to carry his brother all the way to your home… Again.
It’s been years. Years since you first met Touya and Dabi at UA, going through a meeting of some sort that all students under recommendation had to go through. If you were completely honest with yourself, attending the prestigious school was not something you wanted to do, but your parents said the opportunity was too great to pass and you had to agree. Especially since your country of origin was not Japan, so the adventures of being in a foreign country made it all the more exciting. Even though the meeting was for recommendations, the school itself actually scouted you, which you were sure was breaking their own rule, but you understood why. The strength of your quirk had schools around the world wanting you to join. After all what school wouldn’t want to be associated with pure power, something you were the walking definition of.
'Oh god, how did we get into this mess?'
-
-
You sighed as your parents looked around trying to translate everything through an app on their phone. Since the decision to attend this school was so last minute, you hardly had the time to learn how to read Japanese, you already knew how to speak it but to be honest you didn’t really have to learn it anyway, it’s just the petty satisfaction of your parents struggling that stopped you from knowing the language right now.
“Honey you’re scaring the kids”
“It’s not my fault I was born like this”
The attention your father got was always a bit much, with his red skin, pointed tail and groomed facial hair, it was no shock that people think he’s the devil incarnate. The religious goons around the place hated your family, even if your father was the only one with the devilish appearance, they still hated you and your mother for being associated. While it’s true that your parents weren’t exactly.. Heroic back in their time, they weren’t exactly villains, your parents were just very passionate about not having to put so many regulations on quirks, but they didn’t believe that quirks should go unsupervised. There was nothing wrong with a bit of freedom, it’s not like they were hurting anyone. People still labelled them villains anyway because of all the pro heroes that tried to take them on. The only reason they're not in prison is because the heroes always attacked first, so they got let off in self defence. Both of them had unbelievably strong quirks, your father’s quirk allowed him to teleport, not only everywhere in this world, but also to different dimensions. Your mother could control magnetic forces, meaning she could manipulate anything magnetic, like iron and many other type of metal substances. On her good days she can interfere with electric forces and short circuit devices. In fact they defeated a very popular Japanese hero and if you recalled correctly he had kids that were also attending-
“Hey Endeavour!!”
Your mother's cheery voice cut through your thoughts as she waved to a rather large man in a blue and red suit, his moustache and beard made out of fire. He glared at her, eyes filled with hate. So that must be the hero guy then. Behind him was a woman with white hair, the way she was hunched made you think she would much rather want to be anywhere but here right now. On her sides, standing almost protectively, was two boys. They were almost identical, the only difference being their hair colour, one had the red hair of that fire hero and the other had the white hair of that woman. They were handsome, even with the same face they each had their own charm. The one with the red hair had a rebellious, bad boy feel to him. He was the one filled with confidence. The one with the white hair seemed almost as timid as the woman, not making eye contact with anyone in shy kind of way.
“Endeavour man, how ya been? How’s the wife? How’s the kids?” Seemingly not put off by the man’s rude attitude, your father teleported in front of him, blocking his way. Which obviously didn’t sit well with the man.
“Get out of my way”
“No, I don’t know where I’m going so let’s go together” The man sneered and kept walking with your father following behind.
“What are you even doing here? I didn’t think they’d ever let.. Your kind in”
“I’m here for my daughter, she got offers from all around the world, it took me and my wife weeks to convince her to pick this school. We’ve always wanted to come back to Japan and this gave us the perfect excuse.” Your father looked so proud of you, it’s that look of pride that made all of this hassle worth it.
However that pride is what causes Endeavour’s eyes to snap towards you; if his eyes were filled with hatred before, they had to make a new word for the emotion he had when looking at you. Hatred wasn’t quite cutting it.
“You..” The loud and heavy footsteps the man took just to get to you seemed to go in rhythm with your heartbeat, as you didn't know which thumps were him and which thumps were you.
“Enji please she’s just a child-”
“Shut up” The woman recoiled submissively causing the boys to stand in front of her. Endeavour didn’t bother paying them any mind as his focus was purely on you. “You shouldn’t be here.”
If he was expecting some kind of reaction from you, he was going to be sorely disappointed. You’ve gotten use to this kind of thing and developed a rather thick skin. People find out what your quirk is and all of a sudden it becomes a game of 1 million questions. 'If you can do this, then why don’t you just do this? Or do that? Why do you even try? Do you even care? Why don’t you care?'
“Eh I saw the schools brochure and thought ‘Wow this place looks like fun’ And here I am” You didn't know a human could make that kind of face, yet here he was looking ready to tear you a new one.
“Why you little-”
“Unless you want a round two I suggest you backup” Your parents stood between you and the supposed hero. Your father had his sharp tail pointing directly at Endeavour’s head, your mother’s quirk grabbed anything magnetic and pointed it at him as well. “Come on man, you don’t want to expose what you really are in front of all these people do you?”
Turquoise eyes looked around as if finally noticing the crowd that’s formed. A hero and two ‘villains’ would be enough to attract attentions on its own, but to have them about to fight caused an excited audience, phones already out and filming.
“As entertaining as a round two sounds, I do prefer it when my school is still standing” A rather soft, yet pitched voice managed to cut through the tension.
Looking down you saw a little white.. Animal?
“Nice to meet you all, please come into my office” Without a care in the world the.. Whatever that thing is walked into a room. Looking at the label on the door, you had to rub your eyes a few times to make sure they weren’t reading it wrong, and they weren’t. That label really did say ‘Principal’s office’
“Japan’s a really weird place” Was the only thing you managed to get out before following behind.. It.
-
-
“Ahh isn’t this great, two families seeing eye to eye and being able to be in the same room together without the bad blood”
You didn’t know what room the animal was in, but it couldn't have been this one considering the fiasco that happened outside seemed to continue inside. Your parents didn’t look too worried or pissed, but they were defensive. ‘I mean with the amount of flame power the guy was putting out who wouldn’t be?’
“I don’t know why you’ve invited them. That thing over there doesn’t deserve the hero title” If you cared about what this guy had to say that statement would’ve hurt.
“She was just a toddler when it happened, let it go!” Your mother was borderlined pissed causing more stuff to float.
“Now now, please settle down, we’re here for your children” Your parents seemed to calm down a bit, Endeavour however was not as willing to let this go. “Sit now, the three of you, we need to talk about your children and what benefits they can have when attending UA High. Enji let’s start with your son's.”
The animal pulled out their files, the first one was the boy with the white hair. “Let’s start with the oldest twin, Touya Todoroki. Quirk: Ice, he can create ice from small to large quantities and drastically lower the temperatures of anything he touches. His fallback is that overuse of his quirk can also lower his body temperature, making him extremely vulnerable to frostbite.”
The boy tried to look indifferent but instead just looked shy, it was.. Cute. In fact he was.. Cute. ‘Stupid heat in my cheeks, go away you’re gonna attract attention’
“The younger twin, Dabi Todoroki. Quirk: Fire, he can generate blue flames from his body instantaneously, since his flames are blue they are significantly hotter than his father’s. His drawback however is that overusing his flames cause him to overheat.”
This one just seemed to scoff at his profile. You thought you didn’t wanna be here? This guy’s whole body language screamed ‘I would rather be anywhere else’. You noticed as Touya sat more closed off, Dabi seemed to be more open, he was more spread over his chair, giving a real alpha kind of vibe. It was a vibe you liked that’s for sure.
You were too busy thinking of them you hadn’t realised that your name had been called as your profile was placed down. “- Quirk: Reality warping” The way the principal said your quirks name was enough to send warning bells in your head, but you didn’t say anything. “She has the ability to shape and manipulate reality itself. There’s is no known limits or drawbacks considering the.. Tight leash authorities have on her for obvious reasons”
The principal rubbed his neck, to the others it would’ve looked like it was in nervousness, but really it was because of the circular device that had seated itself nicely onto your own neck. The device that was forced onto you out of pure fear. A device that stopped you from reaching your full potential.
“I honestly don’t understand what went through your head when you invited that” Endeavour pointed his nose in your direction, disgust never faltering. “Probably never had to work for anything in its life. It won’t even try, it’ll just shortcut its way through this course with that stupid quirk”
“Well you’re not wrong”
“Ok that’s enough you two” The principal put more papers on his desk. “Now if your children enrol in UA, not only will it look good on the hero resume, but also the opportunities the course provides for them will be extremely beneficial. Such as hero training and situation exercises of course, but also internships and being able to participate in the sports festival!!”
Your parents looked more excited than you did. Sighing you realised that your complaining was beginning to get annoying, even to yourself. Your parents never got any of these things, so you can’t blame them for being excited that you will be getting these opportunities.
“So what do ya say? Will you join UA?” The principals hopeful voice rang in your ears.
“My son's will” Endeavour ignored his son's annoyed and frowning faces as he made their decision.
“I will”
“Oh great!! You all start Monday!!”
-
-
“Why does our father hate you so much?”
“Who cares? I like you” You jolted forward in your seat as another body crashes into it, the red haired perp just smiled at you cheekily. “You’re officially my new favourite person here, even beat Touya”
The white haired boy rolled his eyes and lightly smacked his brother on the head. “Sorry about him, he can be a bit.. Much”
You just shook your head, letting the red head still hang off of you. “It’s no bother, I don’t mind”
The boy just grinned and leaned on you a bit in a more flirty way. “The name’s Dabi, the white haired me is my twin Touya.”
You smiled at the two boys, they were different, they were cute. Maybe they could be people you would be able to open up to one day. “It’s nice to meet you, my name is-”
-
-
Your eyes opened as Touya moved on top of you; trying to find a more comfortable spot so it seemed, before finding it by nestling his face into your chest. You had to hold in your giggle as his spikey yet soft hair tickled you.
“Aish lucky bastard, if it was any other day I would’ve woken him up and kicked him off” Dabi’s annoyed voiced made it harder to hold that giggle in. Looking up your eyes met his soft turquoise ones. “How is he doing?”
“He’s doing fine, all completely healed” He breathed a sigh of relief, rubbing his own scarred arm. “Dabi you know I can heal tho-”
“Nah, I wanna keep them for now, when I’m ready to move on I’ll-” You grabbed his hand and pressed it to your lips. No matter how many times he says it, you just can’t help yourself. He hates his scars, he hates having to touch you with them. Yet no matter how many times you offer to heal them he refuses. To him they weren’t just scars, they were what motivated him, what motivated him to not be like his father.
“I love you” With those three words leaving your mouth; he leaned down and claimed your lips, not caring for the charred lip that touched your soft ones. Those three words coming from you never failed to calm him down.
“I love you too” A second voice that was suddenly void of sleepiness reached your ears, before its owners lips began kissing your neck.
‘Oh boy it was gonna be a long night, thank god my parents decided to stay out for their date night’
Notes:
This story was just an idea that came to me and I’m surprised more stories like this aren’t put out there. I might make a split personality Dabi x Reader fic, what do you think?

Chapter Text
You groan as the ache between your legs causes a pain to shoot up your spine. You’d think your body would be use to this by now considering it was felt pretty often. Touya and Dabi loved taking you at the same time, and you had to admit it feels good and wouldn’t want it any other way, however the morning’s after were always painful. Your throat was raspy and desperate for a liquid that didn’t come from your boyfriends for once. Already making a glass of water, you’ve never been more thankful for your quirk.
“You’re so lazy, Love” You glared at Touya through an open eye, but he just smirked at you. It’s times like this when you miss that sweet shy boy you first fell in love with.
“Shut up” You glower playfully; hitting him with a pillow before placing a small kiss on his lips. “How are you feeling?”
“I always feel great after-” The smart ass answer died down at the sight of your pointed glare. “I’m fine Love, I’m alright thanks to you. Always thanks to you”
You couldn't help the onslaught of kisses you gave to him. You’d never admit this to Dabi, but Touya has a special place in your heart. He is your first love after all.
-
-
You looked in the direction you heard your name coming from; not being able to hide the surprise from your face as you see the white haired boy waving without the usual red head by his side.
“Hey, you mind if it's just us that walk home together today? I know we usually walk with Dabi but he’s.. Busy right now.” Judging by the girl the red head was seen with throughout the day, it didn’t take a genius to know what he meant by ‘busy’.
“Touya why would I mind? We've known each other for months now. Besides it's not like this is the first time it's happened.” He smiled sheepishly at you as he walked by your side.
“You were amazing at the hero exercises today, you and that Iida guy make quite the team” You detected a certain emotion in his voice that you couldn't place, but took in his praise anyway.
“Yea I’m glad that his sense of teamwork is so good, I’ve never really needed help before so I’m glad he was so patient with me”
To be fair, you’ve never had to work for anything in your life. Being able to warp reality, even with the device on your neck, you could do a lot of things and you’ve never had to truly want anything considering you just got it with a wave of your hand. In all honesty you could’ve just teleported yourself to the fake bomb and then you would’ve passed, however you refrained from doing that because it was unfair to your partner, Iida Tensei. He was a nice guy, he understood your quirk and frustrations, so the patience he had with you was much appreciated.
“You were great as well, the ice and sand combination you two did was very effective” Touya smiled shyly, clearly not use to the praise.
“Thanks, Sunako can be very helpful when she’s not trying to get into your pants”
“Hmm I guess that just makes her sand quirk all the more fitting” The laugh Touya gave was enough to make your heart skip a beat. ‘Strange, it’s never done that before.’
Sunako Akiyama wasn’t exactly the most focused student, in fact you were pretty sure she only wanted in on this course just to get guys. She seemed to be well in that department since her and Dabi disappeared after the bell rang and Touya was currently walking home with you alone.
“Hey you wanna.. Take a detour to the park or something?” He seemed nervous, his hands fidgeting with the strap of his bag, gaze down as he looked like he was preparing himself for rejection.
“Sure let’s go” Touya was taken aback at your answer, his face showing his excitement. “Re- Really? That’s great! I know a really nice place! Follow me”
Without waiting for an answer, he lightly gripped your hand and began pulling you into the direction of the park. For some strange reason your cheeks felt like they were burning the entire journey there.
‘I must be coming down with something’
-
-
“Don’t look”
“I can’t see anything, your hands are covering my eyes” You huffed slightly annoyed.
After convincing you to go to the park with him, you two had been enjoying a nice stroll until he covered your eyes out of nowhere and asked you to trust him. Of course you nearly blasted him with your quirk as an answer at first, but your heart ached at the thought of him hurt and decided against it, instead it chose to trust him.
“Alright I’m gonna take my hands off your eyes in 3, 2, - Wait what if she thinks it’s not worth the walk, or what if she doesn’t end up liking it-”
“You’ll never know unless you show me, so do you want to remove your hands or do you want me to?”
“1!” And with that nervous shout, Touya took his hands off your eyes. At first they had a to take some time to adjust but- Oh. The view was so surreal it looked like a painting you see in those Japanese restaurants. The lake was so clear you had thought it was a mirror with how high quality the reflections that bounced off of it were. The old little bridge made of wood still held its light colour, it looked like a bridge that’s seen much love in its life time with how many people have walked on it. And of course, the Sakura trees. Thankfully it was spring so the falling pink leaves of the beautiful tree added an almost mystical feel to it. It was beautiful, it was so beautiful, all of it. It was so beautiful, you could feel your brain burning the image in front of you in itself.
“My mum would bring my siblings and I here whenever dad was away.” You didn’t have to look at him to know of the sadness on his face. “He was hardly ever around due to hero work but.. Whenever he was around it was just.. Painful.”
You finally tore your eyes away from the surreal scenery to look at him, the tears in his eyes made your heart break. Without any hesitation, you grabbed his face in between your hands, thumbs instantly wiping away the rogue tears that escaped his eyes. His eyes, those beautiful turquoise pools are something you could stare into for hours; in fact you were sure that the world could be falling apart right now and you would never notice because of them. Because of him..
Your heart was going crazy, you thought if it kept going at this pace it was gonna give itself a heart attack. So imagine the spazz it went through as Touya stared back, his attention purely on you just like yours was on him. You nearly jumped out of your own skin when his hands came up and felt the skin of your face. The way he was looking and touching made you think of how you felt when you first saw that beautiful scenery. Like he was trying to make sure you were real and standing with him. The way his hands gripped your cheeks made you feel like you’d disappear if he ever let go. Maybe that’s why you don’t want him to ever let go.. Maybe.
The way he said your name made you feel lightheaded, even his subtle yet sweet scent was doing things to you, things you’ve never felt before, things that were confusing you. And those things got even stronger as he leant in and you ,not being able to wait, leant in as well.
“GUYS!!” Was the only warning you two got before another body crashed its way between you, clearly uncaring of the sweet moment. “I’M SO GLAD I CAUGHT UP WITH YA’S!!”
“DABI I FUCKING SWEAR!!” The red head just grinned at his brothers uncharacteristically pissed face.
You on the other hand just pinched Dabi’s cheek. Hard. You were annoyed, if you and Touya finished that action, then maybe this confusing feeling would stop.
“Ow please let go it’s starting to hurt for real” You felt a sadistic satisfaction at the way he winced, a real wince, in real pain.
“I’m gonna kill you when we get home”
“Well then I better prolong that fate, let’s go get something to eat, I’m hungry for soba”
With that Dabi wrapped an arm around you and began leading in the direction of his favourite ramen shop. Rolling your eyes, you ignore the confusing pain in your heart at the very distinct smell of a woman’s perfume on his clothes, just like he ignored the murderous glare of his twin.
-
-
“Are you excited for the sports festival?” You strained your neck to look at Touya, who was doing the same. With Dabi planted firmly in between you two, it was almost like he had made it his mission to make sure it was impossible for you and Touya to be near each other, even with your necks craning it was hard to see the other without Dabi trying to get in the way.
“Umm yea, I’ve heard the school talking about it, I’m sure it’ll be fun to watch from the crowd.” Dabi’s face got in front of Touya’s as he gave a confused look.
“What do you mean watch from the crowd? Participating in the sports festival is one of the things that comes with being in the hero course”
“For the other students yes but for me not so much. Since news about a reality warper joining UA got around parents started complaining, saying I’d just warp reality so I won all the time. I heard the principal had to argue tooth and nail just so I didn’t get banned in general” Dabi looked angered at your explanation and if you could see Touya, you’d say his face would be the same.
“Seriously? I swear people are such assholes-”
“I can’t argue with them though or deny it because what they said about the warping is true. I would just end up warping if I got tired or frustrated.” You looked down and slowly ate your soba that was starting to taste like shame. “I’m so use to having everything I want when I want it, I’ll still need a bit more time before I can use my powers without selfish intent.”
“You didn’t use them for that when you were with Tensei, so I think you’ve made more than enough progress.” To Dabi the only hint he would’ve got that you were shocked was the slight widen of your eyes, but internally your brain was short circuited. “You were great out there today, even with an overpowered quirk, you still let him shine and let him put in work so he could show what he’s made of. You two really looked like a team.”
Dabi watched you? I mean it was no surprise Touya did, he liked watching your classmates use their quirks, but Dabi? He always chose to disappear and you didn’t see him unless it was his turn. So how else would he have known about your teamwork with Tensei? He couldn't have heard it from Touya, since that class was the last for the day and by the time he caught up with you, it wouldn’t have been enough time to have a conversation with him besides the ‘I’m busy’ reason. If he even needed to give one.
“You watched my match?” Dabi looked at you as if you’ve just asked if he liked soba.
“Of course I did, why wouldn’t I?”
‘Oh I don’t know, it might have something to do with the one that has sandy blonde hair who fits her quirk way too much’
“No reason. Anyway as I was saying since the whole parent fiasco I’ve been banned from participating, but I’ll still come and cheer for you guys”
“You mean for me… And maybe Touya if you’ve got the time”
“I hope we’re the last two left at the festival so I can beat you”
"I don't understand you guys"
“There’s a lot of bragging rights riding on this, you’ll understand when you get a sibling” Your eyes narrowed at Dabi but he seemed unaffected. “Let’s make this more interesting. Whoever wins gets to take you out on a date”
The soba that was making its way down your throat was abruptly stopped as you choked and your quirk was forced to erase the soba’s entire existence to clear your airways.
“What kind of a bet is that?-”
“You’re on” The way Touya’s face hardened with pure determination made him almost unrecognisable. You’d never seen him like this before.
Sending one last challenging smirk to his twin, Dabi turned to you, fluttering his eyelashes in a comically flirty way that made a laugh escape your lips “Sweet so, how do like this place? Because I’m gonna take you back here after I win the festival”
-
-
“What’s going through that pretty little head of yours love?” Looking down, all your mind could focus on was the turquoise pools that looked back at you. Oh how lucky you are to be able to stare into them, if you could go back and tell your past self about this, which you could let’s be honest, they wouldn’t believe you.
“Just thinking of some stuff is all” You were about to stroke his soft, white locks until arms wrapped themselves around you from behind and flipped you over so their owner was hovering over you.
“Ya know I was thinking of some stuff too, a lot of them seemed to be of me being balls deep inside-”
“Ah no no, no more. My parents are gonna be home today so last night’s all you’re getting.” Dabi frowned before glaring at the door.
“Cockblocks”
“Let’s go to the ramen store today, I have a weird craving for soba”
Notes:
Thanks to saebae for enjoying my story your comment was really nice. This chapter was nice moment with Touya, so next chapter will of course be nice moment with Dabi.
Chapter 3: Hands and Scars
Summary:
You remember an unpleasant memory filled with Dabi's hands and his scars.
Chapter Text
“See honey, I told you they would be here”
“I never disagreed with you dear”
You rolled your eyes at your parents as they came in with some takeout they got on the way home for you.. And your boyfriends since they’d known the twins would be here. Dabi and Touya were quick to grab the food and made a beeline for the kitchen, muttering their thank you and appreciations before stuffing their mouths with food. You were about to join them, knowing that if Touya could fend Dabi off long enough, you may be lucky enough to at least get a fry until a tug on your arm caused your feet to stop in their tracks.
“Was it him again?”
Sighing, you looked at your mother with sad eyes, hers showing the same emotion. Your mother knew what it was like to have a father who was not the best, but at least he never laid on hand on her or her mother. She had a big soft spot for the twins, she would always tease you by calling them her future son's in laws. So whenever they came over like this, without warning, she knew what it meant. She was the one you asked for help when you first found out…
-
-
“I’m telling ya, I’m gonna win. I always win in training so I’m gonna win at the festival too”
You half heartedly listened to the redhead whose head was on your lap as you ate your lunch under the usual hang out tree. It was strange, ever since making that stupid bet, Dabi has been hanging around you a lot. Normally it was always just Touya that would hang around, he was your only real friend after all. Dabi was always around school doing.. Dabi things in an empty classroom or closet. It really wasn’t any of your business what he did in his own time, but the different kinds of perfumes that littered his clothes could be a bit.. Much.
“And then after I win, I’m gonna take you back to the ramen shop for soba.. Or since there’s the carnival coming to town I could take you there if you’d like”
That’s all he’s been talking about as well. Winning the sports festival and taking you out here, or taking you out there, somewhere you won’t have to dress up too much for, any casual yet nice place.
“Carnival seems fine” He blinked; looking up at you with questioning eyes as he touched your face. The sudden touch caused you to jerk so harshly your quirk activated and ended up destroying an innocent tree.
“Geez warn an introvert before you touch her, will ya” However Dabi seemed unaffected by your reaction, his hand not moving from your face. It was there where you smelt it.. The smell of a woman's natural bodily scent, causing your face to scrunch up in absolute disgust.
Slapping his hand off your face, you were conflicted between wanting to play it off and wanting to confront him about it. Why would someone talk about having a date with you, when his fingers had that smell on them? You didn’t understand. Was this another thing people did? Whatever it was, you didn’t like it. At all.
“What’s wrong? My hands stink?” He went to sniff them jokingly, but he froze at the smell that got you unsettled.
“Do you not wash your hands after touching them down there? Is it like a trophy or something?” You had to say them , because it was always hard to tell who Dabi could’ve been with, heck you and Touya made a game about it called ‘Guess Who: Dabi edition’. “Dabi, you know I don’t judge but could you please not touch me with another persons essence. It’s unhygienic and now I feel unclean.”
“Sorry Doll, I must’ve forgotten to clean up” Dabi looked away in shame. You didn’t know the redhead could feel shame.
With a long, unimpressed exhale, you cleaned his hands with your quirk. “How could you have forgotten? What could possibly be so important that you forgot to clean yourself? And what scent do you want?”
“Strawberry please. I don’t know Doll, I never forget. I guess I was just in too much of a hurry”
“Why would you be in a hurry?” You dried his hands and was satisfied that the previous smell was now gone and replaced with strawberry instead. “And if you were in such a hurry, was it worth it?”
His eyes softened as much as his smile did; this time he placed both of his, now clean, hands on your face and your mind instantly thought of yesterday with Touya.
“Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?”
“A lot of people tell me that. So what do you want?”
“What do you mean?”
“You complimented me, so what do you want?”
He laughed, with that boyish charm it wasn’t hard to see why so many girls liked him. “What I want is to tell you that you’re beautiful.”
You frowned, clearly not use to the exchange that’s just taken place. Usually when someone compliments you, they always want something. ‘Your beauty and quirk must mean that you’re a goddess right? Then can you make me..’ or ‘You shine so bright and your beauty is blinding, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind giving some to me right?’. Sometimes they’d give you food or money, and you always gave, saw no reason not to. However it’s when the requests got a bit too much did you draw a very heavy line. ‘Can you make this person love me? Can you give me a more powerful quirk? Can you erase this person’s existence ?’
Those were the three main request you got that weren’t vanity related. So for Dabi to just compliment you because he wanted to was something new, it was something you liked. And the way he was staring at you, proved that his words could be trusted. ‘Why is he looking at me like that?’
“You are so so beautiful” His hands were feeling, lightly gripping at times, at your face. “You know everytime I see you I wonder ‘How can I have someone so beautiful in my life?’. So believe me when I say, you are more than worth the rush, but I will remember to wash my hands next time”
You couldn't help but laugh. Yea he was an idiot that did things that made your heart hurt sometimes, but he always knew the right things to say, even if they were unbelievably cheesy.
Leaning over, you rested your forehead against his, uncaring that your neck and back were now extremely uncomfortable and your hair was probably blocking his view of everything, but it worked out for you. Because thanks to your coloured strands, it blocked out the rest of the world and all you could see was him.. His turquoise eyes that stared at you like he was thinking the same.
“You better wash them, otherwise if you make me wash them again, I’m gonna change that strawberry scent to manure” The way his face scrunched up made you laugh even more.
“You wouldn’t dare”
“Try me and find out”
He opened his mouth before a panicked look flashed in his eyes, he was quick to rip his hands from your face and pull his sleeves down. You pulled away from him in worry, and he never looked so conflicted. Your eyes darted down towards his arms, which he was trying to shield behind his blazer.
“Dabi..” You held your hands out towards him. “You remember what I told you before right? I’d never judge.”
“I know it’s not that I think you’d judge me.. I know you won’t, it’s just that..” His hands were shaking, like they were arguing over whether or not to show you what the fabric hid. “I don’t want to show you these, they’re too ugly..”
You purse your lips, not being use to not getting what you want, but also using your quirk on him will never be an option. So instead chose to just rest your forehead against his like before, stare into his eyes with no intention of looking away and gently hold his hands like they were fine glass.
“You don’t have to show me, I’m not going to force you.. But if you ever want to talk or if you just.. Need me, Dabi I’m always here for you”
The tear that rolled from his eye and down his cheek was something that neither of you will admit had existed. Instead he moved your head, so that his forehead was replaced by his lips. The feeling was strong enough to make your heart clench, skip a beat and then ache as it went faster. ‘God what’s happening to me?’
You were in such a deep thought that you hadn’t notice Dabi call your name, until the haze of your mind cleared and realised he was staring again, before seeing that he wasn't trying to cover his arms again, he wasn’t outright pulling his sleeves down to show you, but the slight peek from them as they shifted down was enough. Your eyes blinked a couple of times before confirming that on his arms was indeed burn marks. There were only two ways Dabi would have burn marks. One being himself, the other being..
“Sometimes I get a bit carried away with training..” You gently place your hand on his wrist, just missing where the burn marks start. “But majority of the time.. He just pushes me.. And pushes me, even when my flames eat at my own skin, he never stops pushing me. The only time he’s not pushing me is when my quirk stops burning.. And his replaces it instead”
You knew he felt that tear roll on his hand because when he looked up, his teary eyes were met with equally wet ones. Your eyes just couldn't help themselves, the pain in your heart was too great that it made them water. You had to fix this.. Had to do something, anything. Anything will never be enough though, not for him.
“What do you want?” His eyes stopped their tears to replace them with shock and confusion. “Dabi with my quirk I could do anything.. Give you anything, all you have to do is tell me what you want and it’s yours”
To further prove your point, you enveloped his hands again with your quirk, but this time to give them warmth, to give them reassurance. His eyes were like a screen, showing the thoughts that were currently going through his brain. Your quirk was readying itself to grant whatever wish the redhead wanted, anything to make him feel better.
“You” Blinking, you tilted your head in confusion. “I just want you, no quirk needed. Just stay with me alright?”
“As if I’d ever leave you” You gave a shaky laugh, trying to lighten the mood. “I’d never leave you Dabi”
“Even after I touch you with dirty hands?”
“Yes even after that”
You both laughed this time, neither of you pulling away even after the bell rings and tries to ruin the moment.
“Come on we better go, if we don't then Touya’s gonna send a search party”

“Hey ma?”
Your mother looked at you, body language worried by the emotion in your voice. “Yes dear?”
“You said that Grandpa.. Your father was never the best.. How did you get through it?”
She blinked, clearly thrown off guard before sitting down. “W- Well umm.. I guess I just gave up on him and moved on. My father was never around anyway so it wasn’t hard to pretend he never existed. Why sweety what’s wrong?”
Biting your lip, you wondered if you should really tell her about Dabi, but knew it was too late to back out now. “It’s Dabi.. His father is pushing him.. And abusing him. I don’t know what I can do to help”
Your mother’s arms were wrapped around you in an instant. “Oh my god. What did he say about it?”
“I asked him if he wanted me to do anything, offered him my quirk but he refused..” You looked up at your mother, who was making a face showing that she was thinking hard about your words, before seemingly coming to her own conclusion. “Ma?”
“I know this is something you don’t want to hear, but I think you should listen to him” You opened your mouth to protest but she held up her hand. “Let me finish. I know it’s hard, someone you care about is in real danger by someone that’s supposed to love and care for him. But I think if he wanted you to do something he would’ve asked it a very long time ago.. This conflict is something that he wants to solve with his father, him, not him and you. Just watch over him, make sure he doesn’t stray down a dark path. And when you see him make sure that he knows, both him and Touya, are welcome, heck any of the Todoroki’s are welcome here.. As long as their name doesn’t start with an E and end with a ‘nji’ or ‘ndeavour’”
You couldn't stop the laugh that escaped even if you wanted to. She was right, if Dabi wanted your help he would’ve asked for it earlier when you offered. Despite what people thought, Dabi wasn’t the prideful type, so him not taking up your offer wasn’t done because of pride. You just hoped now that watching over him and Touya would be enough..

“Love, you better hurry Dabi’s eyeing up your burger.”
You smiled as Touya hugged you from behind, giving a burger and some fries that he managed to save from the normal food war. The sweet boy was so good to you. Grabbing his arm, you gave it a small kiss.
“My hero”
“I’m sure I deserve a kiss for the restraint I showed”
This time a body covered you from your front; wrapping their arms around your shoulders, while not so subtly trying to push away their white haired twin away from you. ‘Always the possessive one.’
Just like with Touya, you gave a kiss to Dabi’s arm, not caring that the skin was rough and bumpy than your other lovers. It probably looked weird to others, but to them, those small kisses meant everything.
“I’ll go distract your father to give you three more time together”
Your mother was the best.
Notes:
I felt that Dabi didn't get enough love in the last chapter but now I felt like Touya didn't get enough in this chapter. Oh well sports festival is in the next chapter, wonder who's gonna win.
Chapter 4: Sports Festival and Emotions
Summary:
During the sports festivals, the confusion over your emotions as you watch Dabi and Touya with other girls, causes the people around you to pay a high price.
Notes:
This story is far too sweet, I need to balance it out with some angst and jealousy. Enjoy!!

Chapter Text
“Where does your father always disappear to?” Sighing you turned to your now raven haired boyfriend. “Not that it’s any of my business or anything, but he always just up and leaves.. I know you get affected whenever he does that too, so don’t try and lie”
Rubbing your shoulder, you try to hold back another sigh. “You know how my dad’s quirk allows him to teleport, even to different dimensions?” He nodded. “Well my dad isn’t exactly from this one.. He’s from a completely different one. One where he has other children”
Touya spat out the tea he was drinking and you had to pat his back, causing him to give you a grateful look. “But your dad is such a great guy.. It doesn’t bother you or your mother that he does this.”
You sucked in a deep breath in between your teeth. “It’s not that it doesn’t bother me, but you see my dad has a hard time telling what’s his world and what isn’t. So when he was with my mother, he thought he was with the her from his world. Once he realised he wasn’t, he tried to go back, only to find out his universe was completely destroyed..”
“You said your father had other children, did they survive?” You solemnly shook your head.
“No.. Which is saying a lot considering my father had many many children. Even in alternate realities, a lot of the multiverse had gotten destroyed.. My father thinks one child survived. So that’s why he leaves so often, he’s looking for them. For her.”
“How does he know it’s not you?”
“Because I think I’m just.. Another version of her, she being the original. With there being alternate dimensions and realities, it wouldn’t surprise me. Dad said he had met another alternate me once, however she wasn’t as nice. Had different parents, different upbringing, had a different quirk too”
“Two you’s?? Oh the things I’d do if there were two of you and just me” You gave Dabi an unimpressed stare as he went off into fantasy land. “What? Don’t look at me like that, you’ve already got two me’s, so let me have this one”
Shaking your head, you leaned into Touya, who seemed to be having the same thoughts as his brother, if the bulge poking you wasn’t telling enough.
Shaking your head, you couldn't find it in yourself to blame them.. I mean they’ve had to share you ever since the sports festival.
-
-
“She’s going to cheer for me”
“Heh dream on little brother”
“You are literally only 12 minutes older than me”
Rolling your eyes so hard it hurt, you followed behind your bickering friends whilst trying to ignore the glares and murmurs that was left in your wake. Dabi was right, people really are such assholes.
“Which one of us do you think is gonna win?” Looking up, two pairs of turquoise eyes bore into your soul, ordering you to choose one over the other, however you only had one thing on your mind.
“I don’t care who wins the festival, but whoever takes me to the carnival better win me a dog plush” The twins glared at each other.
“Your aim sucks so I’d win it for her”
“At least I’d be able to win with my quirk on the rigged games, you’d just end up burning everything, including the plush she’d want”
And there they go again. You didn’t understand, well you never understand the behaviour of other people, but you especially didn’t understand these two. They were more confusing than the rest. Other people always wanted something from you, but these two just seemed to want.. Well you. Just you. Nothing else.
“All students please go down to the hallways to make your entrance onto the field of the stadium”
The twins stopped their bickering and looked back at you, but you just shook your head in dismissal. “If I wanted to participate I would’ve just warped reality so I was allowed. Now go, one of you have a plush to win for me.”
With one determined, yet slightly sad smile, the two ran towards the field entrance, leaving a string of promises that they were gonna win. Your smile dropped as soon as they were out of your sight, then the worry began. From what you heard, the sports festival could get really intense, students trying to prove themselves and others trying to move up to get into the hero course. It’s no surprise that students can be carried away with very bad injuries. If it wasn’t for Recovery Girl a lot of students might not have been able to walk or function properly. But then again that was this entire school in a nutshell. It seemed Hogwarts changed its name and theme then moved to Japan.
‘Please stay safe.. The both of you’
Suddenly not being able to handle the stares without your friends there as a distraction, you were quick to teleport yourself to your seat, quirk making a bag of popcorn, which was eaten with much appreciation.
“Wow look at Dabi, he looks so pumped. I think he might win this one”
“Ah ah ah look at young Touya. Quiet and calculating. In my line of business it’s the quiet ones you have to watch out for.”
The people bickering over who would win was drowned out as you stared at your friends. Dabi’s usual air confidence was somehow even more heavier, the smirk that sat on his lips actually made you think you skipped the timeline and he had already won. Touya was hunched as usual beside him, however it didn’t seem as natural as it normally was. It kinda looked like he was acting, almost like an animal pretending to be vulnerable only to strike when the target got too close.
If you remembered correctly the first task was a race. The students would have to go through a string of obstacles, you hoped it wasn’t too hard. Your hopes were later crushed as soon as the race started. The entire time you had to sit on your hands to stop yourself from warping so that Dabi and Touya could get over them with ease, but were instantly impressed by their skill. Dabi would fly over obstacles whilst Touya would smash through them with his ice, still using it strategically enough so that it didn’t end up helping any of the other students looking to win the race as well. However he seemed to have completely given up that idea as it came to the minefield, he used his ice to slide along it with amazing speed, so that he was neck and neck with Dabi who was using his flames as boosters. Both were leaving nothing but destruction and screams of others behind them, until the very end when Dabi’s fire faltered for a millisecond. A millisecond too much as Touya crossed the finish line first.
The smile Touya had on his face was beautiful and after the announcement that he won, the first thing he did was look up at you and your heart stopped; lungs forgetting how to breathe. However the feeling was short lived as a rough shoulder bump from Dabi caused Touya to glare at him. Then it was the second round.
This time it was how many points could one team take from the other. Everyone was split into teams, the ones who came in the top three had more points than the rest, Touya having the most since he came first. The team he had was a good one that had quirks of all kinds, one of them, Kazashi Ige, who could control her long hair and use it for both offence and defence. Your eyes glared at her, she was one of the girls who had a crush on Touya but still went with Dabi. You didn’t like any of the girls who had feelings for the twins, whether crushes or lust, none of them would ever pass your approval. Especially not Kazashi or Sunako.
Speaking of the sand girl, she had of course partnered up with Dabi, who accepted her with a boyish grin and an arm around her waist. There was always a strange urge to hit her in the face with your quirk whenever you saw it. Ever since that day her and Dabi went off together, she’s been claiming the title of his girlfriend, and with the way he treats her it’s no surprise why she thinks that. It was probably her juices that smeared his fingers yesterday and that fact hurt more than you’d ever admit. ‘This is why I try to stay away from other humans. They just confuse me too much’
By the time the round started, Touya was mainly on the defense, which made sense since his band had the most points. Dabi on the other hand didn’t seem so worried as his quirk combined with Sunako’s was making strong glass, glass that was shooting at anyone who got close. Your heart was doing that thing again, the thing where it clenches and hurts as you stared at Dabi and Sunako. They matched each other and with how Dabi treated her, such looseness and always so carefree, even if you don’t approve of her, if she made him happy you would let them be. No matter how much your heart hurt. ‘I need to talk to someone about this, someone that’s not the twins..’
Eventually as the last few seconds on the clock ticked by, all it took was one sinful lick of his lips in Kazashi’s direction causing her knees to buckle, for Dabi to take Touya’s band and win the second round. The white haired twin looked exhausted, and judging by his body language, he seemed ashamed. Your heart didn’t know who it hurt for more, Dabi and Sunako or Touya. ‘I can’t do anything about Dabi, if it’s what he wants..’ Your conversation from yesterday goes through your head.
Your quirk seemed to have already chosen because the wisps in front of made a small message saying ‘Go Touya’. Panicked you were about to deactivate it until he looked up. If you thought the smile he gave when he won the last round was beautiful, then this one should be illegal. You didn’t know anyone could reach that level of happiness, but there he was smiling like you held the universe in your hand and was giving it to him. The pain was replaced with a warm and fuzzy feeling that caused you to smile back. Being so caught up in Touya’s smile, you didn’t notice the dangerous look that crossed Dabi’s face. It’s a good thing you didn’t I guess. Saves yourself even more confusion.
By the time the final round came by, the matches the four winning teams went through was eventually shortened down to the final two people, Dabi and Touya. They were the final match and judging by the careless and dangerous way Dabi’s been fighting throughout all his matches, you were scared for Touya. The redhead said he won all the time in training, but with the way the white haired twin had been fighting, you were confident that whether win or lose, he’d give his twin a run for his money.
When the match started however you wondered how many times someone could have a near heart attack until their heart just gave up and died. Dabi was throwing large bursts of flames in Touya’s direction, and Touya in turn was throwing all sorts of ice attacks in Dabi’s. The old battle of fire and ice was something to behold and had the audience sitting on the edge of their seats, even Endeavour seemed to be getting into it, wondering which one of his son's was gonna prevail. You were the only one who was scared, the looks in their eyes.. It wasn’t them. They looked like they were fighting to kill, it was raw and animalistic. Your eyes searched for any recognisable sign that your friends were still in there, but there was nothing.
“Someone’s gotta step in. Those boys are going to kill each other”
That was all you needed to hear as your quick was quick to alter reality. The teachers stepped in as they should’ve a long time ago and for the first time ever, declared a tie between the Todoroki twins. The breath of relief was stopped as a certain sandy blonde wrapped her arms around Dabi’s neck, and the ravenette with a hair quirk was inching closer to Touya, who looked ready to collapse.
‘Why did they have to ruin everything? Why won't they just leave them alone? Get away from them, get away, getawaygetawaygetawaygetaway’
Unknown to you, your quirk had activated again due to your rough and authoritative voice sounding like a command. The wisps had gotten extremely aggressive, to the point where everyone was leaning away from you. There was only those few idiots that tried to stir you on.
“Look at her she’s probably trying to warp reality now”
“Maybe the conclusion wasn’t to her liking so she’s trying to create a new one.”
“Didn’t she cheer for the white haired one before? Maybe she wants him to win?”
Getawaygetawaygetawaygetawaygetawaygetaway
“Why is no one doing anything? Look at her she looks like she’s gonna explode!!”
“I told that stupid principal that letting her be anywhere near here was a bad idea”
Get. Away.
“That’s it, sorry kid but we can’t have people with quirks like yours around here.”
The strange hand of a strange man was enough to send your mind into defense mode, what happened next though was something that you’d never anticipated and one that changed your life.
“GET AWAY FROM ME!”
With those four words, your quirk had sent a shock wave, causing everyone sitting in the same section as you to go flying. Some were lucky enough to land on the field, everyone else got thrown on the other side of the stadium or even thrown completely out of it. Where they landed you will never know as the camera that had once been focused on the victors, was now focused purely on you and all the destruction that’s been caused. On the camera you noticed that not only the people had gone flying, but the seats as well. Those seats had found humans to break their fall and some of those people were now unconscious and bleeding from the head.
Oh god.. What have you done?
Without a second thought, you teleported yourself to the only safe place you could think of, ignoring the pained cries of those unlucky enough to still be conscious, and the yells of two boys who didn’t care for their tired bodies and were running out of the stadium at top speed, trying to find where you'd gone.
-
-
By the time the twins found you it was sunset, their lungs were burning and bodies would’ve collapsed a long time ago if their minds and hearts hadn’t been pushing them.
“I don’t know why you hadn’t thought of this place from the start”
“Shut up you didn’t think of it either”
The twins gave the other a glare before walking with labored breaths towards a park bench that an old man was currently resting on, using his quirk to feed some ducks. Touya sat on one side and Dabi on the other.
“You doing alright Doll?”
“And don’t try to play dumb, we know it’s you”
With a sigh, your quirk fell away, the disguise it gave going with it. Revealing a red, puffy eyed you with tear streaks staining your cheeks.
“Oh Doll/Sweetheart”
They each called you in unison before giving you a hug from each side, if it wasn’t for the wisps blocking your tear ducts, they would’ve been streaming another set down your already stained cheeks.
“I don’t know what happened.. One moment I was happy for the two of you and then the next.. I felt an emotion I’ve never felt before and.. Oh god did I kill anyone?”
“To be honest Sweetheart.. We don’t know.. The only thing me and Dabi cared about was finding you.” Touya pressed his lips against your hair, eyes squeezing shut at the pure relief that flooded through him.
“An emotion? Doll how do you not know what emotion you were feeling?” Dabi had to smother the glare he wanted to shoot at his twin, so decided to stroke your hair instead.
“I don’t understand emotions that well.. The only emotions I know and can name when I feel it are happy, annoyed and most recently confusion and shame. Because of my quirk those are the only emotions I had ever felt.. Judging by the emotions book I found in the library, I guess what I felt back there was fear, an unpleasant emotion caused by threat of danger, pain or harm.” For some reason you couldn't tell them the first emotion that started all of this. “I may need to look up the definition again but I’m certain it was that one, and the book seemed like a reliable source.”
The looks they gave made you want to curl up and disappear, they looked.. Sad.
“Sweetheart, considering how they were crowding you, I would say what you were feeling was fear.” Good. That book was reliable after all.
“It’s a good thing you dealt with them before I did. I don’t care if they’re in hospital, as soon as they get out I’m gonna beat them up for scaring and making you cry.”
As ridiculous and unfair as that sounded it made you laugh, which in turn made them smile.
“It’s gonna be alright Doll, you’re always there for us when we need ya.” Dabi turned your face towards him, even when red and puffy, your eyes were still so beautiful to him, just like the rest of you. “I-” love “care about you.. A lot”
Before you could reply Touya had turned your face towards him, his directness had caused you to blink at the out of character behaviour. “And I-” love “care about you too.. You won’t have to use your quirk, because I’d already do anything for you”
You were overwhelmed with all these unfamiliar emotions, even then your lips formed into a smile. Bringing your hands up, reality altered again and two first place medals hung themselves around each twins neck.
“There. I completely erased this incident from existence and it never happened, only us three will remember it. So you two got your medals and I’m gonna get two dog plushies now”
The twins both laughed and hugged you tightly again, sometimes your quirk could scary, especially now when you literally just wrote a big incident out of existence in front of them, but they didn’t care. They still love you anyway. “I’ll give you all the dog plushies you want Doll/Sweetheart”
Gathering all the courage they had, Dabi and Touya placed a kiss each on your cheek and you had to wrap your quirk around yourself in case you imploded. It wasn’t until all the odd stares the three of you got, did they pull away in confusion.
“What’s up with them? I thought you changed what happened?”
“Oh I did, it’s my disguise. I only made it so you two could see me, to the rest of the world though it looks like you’re hugging and kissing an old man.”
“For fuck sakes Doll, get rid of it now!!!”
-
-
You went from trying to hold in your laugh from the memory to trying to hold in your moans, as you were now currently sandwiched between your two boyfriends; both males grinding against you with harsh and desperate thrusts as the fantasies their own minds made were driving them insane. Mouths and teeth marking any free patch of skin on you.
Well it's a good thing your ma was out.
Notes:
Get use to seeing Sunako and Kazashi, that's all I'm gonna say. Also carnival chapter is next.

Chapter Text
Two days. Two days in a row you had woken up with an ache between your sticky legs and a wince. It’s times like this when you were thankful for the kind of relationship you and your mother had, since you warned her about what was going down, she had found something else to occupy her time, the only problem was your father. You hoped by pure luck he wouldn’t just pop up while you were reaching your peak.
Untangling yourself from your boyfriends, you had to use your quirk so that you’d be able to even stand let alone walk to the bathroom. Your feet stop however, stopping behind two dog plushies that had fallen onto the floor. Smiling your quirk picked them up for you to hold them tightly to your chest.
The two plushies, one was a shiba inu and the other was an akita. They may not look like much to other people but to you they were some of your most prized possessions. Even when the memories they hold make them priceless.

“Oh my baby is going on her first date!!”
“Dear it’s a friendly carnival night, with three friends, who are going with the pure intention of friendship”
Your mother sweat dropped at your father before muttering that he was in denial. You on the other hand were a complete wreck. Ever since you told your parents about the whole carnival thing, your mother has been bouncing around, doing your hair, dressing you up. Your father on the other hand kept throwing the word friends around and questioning your mother.
“Darling it’s a date. They obviously both like her.”
“Yes Dear, friends like friends, that’s why you befriend them”
A date. After hearing her throw that word around, you had to research it yourself. Your cheeks were never more red when reading the definition. Date, a certain romantic appointment or engagement. But now it was a term of who to believe. Ma said if they turned up with flowers or a gift, then it was a date. Dad said if they turned up with just themselves then it was just a hang out.
Turning to the mirror in your room, you wondered if this was appropriate for either. The dress was red with white patterns on it stopping just above the knee. Your hair was curled and in a high ponytail which was a bit loose but the strands that frame your face. Ma wanted to put in flowers but dad stopped her saying they weren’t needed, then he put a jacket on you, claiming that he would wear that jacket all the time when he hung out with his bros, and it was time to pass it down when you hung out with yours. It went back and forth like that for a while, Ma wanted to doll you up whilst Dad wanted to bro you down. It was weird but it didn’t look bad so you didn’t complain. In the end the shoes were the only things that were chosen by you.
Your hand came up to pat non-existent rogue strands down while your heart was hammering in your chest. For some reason you wanted to look good today, despite being close friends you haven’t hung out with them outside of school so they’ve never seen you in casual clothes and vice versa. ‘I hope they think I look..’
“Honey!! Touya and Dabi are here!!”
“For your hang out!!”
Shaking the thoughts out of your head, you make your way to the living room where- Oh there goes your heart again. The real shameful part is that they weren’t dressed over the top and yet your heart was still going crazy. Touya was dressed in a white blouse and some jeans, see nice and simple. But all your mind could focus on was the collarbones that the buttons didn’t think to cover unlike the rest of his shirt. His sleeves were rolled up just below his elbows, showing his tone upper arms that had prominent arm veins.
Dabi was wearing a white shirt as well, however the v neck was so deep that you got to see the top of his chest. He wore a dark blue jacket for obvious reasons, you remembered that even at the sports festival he was the only one wearing sleeves. The jeans he wore matched his jacket and seemed a bit tighter than Touya’s.
Before you could fool your mind into thinking it was a hangout, mainly just to stop it from violating your friends, you realised they had flowers in their hands. Touya had a bouquet of white roses while Dabi had a bouquet of red roses. Roses that were currently pointed at you.
Mentally slapping some sense into yourself, you were quick to take them. Accepting them with a shy but hopefully audible thank you.
“Ahh isn’t that nice.. Friends giving friends flowers, I remember when my friends and I would give each other flowers-”
“Honey no”
-
-
Even though the carnival was filled with obnoxiously loud rides and carnival music, that was somehow still drowned out by the even louder people enjoying themselves, for the three of you it was oddly silent. Neither Dabi or Touya had said anything on the ride here and it carried on upon arrival. You didn’t understand, they hadn’t even looked at you. Dabi wouldn’t stop rubbing his face and Touya kept his eyes trained on the ground. Your mind was sending warning signs telling you something wasn’t right, however your heart was wondering if they were thinking of someone else, causing two certain faces to interrupt your mind.
“Are you two alright?” It was the first time they looked at you, like really looked at you in your eyes, this night and you realised how stupid and blind you’ve been.
They were silent, because both of them were tired. You knew Endeavour would make them train until they dropped and today wouldn’t be any different. If anything the weekend would be even worse since there was no school in between. You wondered how hard it was for them to get out of training just so they could come here with you, to go on a date with you, something they’ve been excited for ever since the bet was made.
With your quirk activating in your hands, it later enveloped the entire place, before causing everything to waver and then eventually there was nothing. There was no music, no screams and chattering of people, just an empty carnival with the lights still beaming and everything still lively.
“Wha-”
“It’s like a little pocket dimension. When I was little I use to make my own little versions of the planets, even this one. Most kids would play with dolls or action figures, but I was making planets and creating little imaginary worlds only to find out they weren’t imaginary. I was creating the world I lived in but it was as an alternate reality, another dimension.” You gestured to the place before turning to see their shocked faces. “This is my world, it’s been my safe place since I was a child. And now I’m gonna share it with you”
“Jesus christ, Doll” Dabi rubbed his face again for what felt like the millionth time this night. “I knew you were overpowered but this is ridiculous”
You couldn't stop the smile that came on your face even if you wanted to, especially at the amusement in his voice. ‘There’s Dabi’
A hand gently held yours and you looked at its owner with questioning eyes. “You sure you’re ok with sharing this place with us?”
“Of course I am, you guys are the first people I’ve ever been close to and you took me to your special place. Besides, it can get pretty lonely here sometimes, even for me.” Walking along the now deserted path, the twins still look at everything with minds filled with suspicion.
“Wait, why didn’t you just come here after you disappeared at the sports festival?”
Letting out a long breath, you came to the realisation they needed to hear the truth. “Well it’s because of this..” Moving your hair, it revealed the circular device it always kept hidden.
Dabi was the first one to reach you, hands touching it with great caution as if scared the slightest pressure could set it off, even if he didn’t know what it was. Touya’s hand claimed yours again in support as he eyed the suspicious device.
“You remember when principal Nezu rubbed his neck at the office?” They nodded. “Well that was actually in reference to me.. Since I’m so overpowered I’ve been kept a very close eye on ever since my quirk manifested. When I started making my own dimensions though is where they really drew a line. This device is basically a shock collar except a discreet one so people don’t see how the authorities really are. If I go over a certain power limit or try to touch it with my quirk then it’ll shock me until I lose consciousness.”
“Why until unconsciousness?”
“Can’t kill me when I’m awake can they?”
The glares the twins gave it made you think they’d melt it off. “I’m gonna kill them”
You gave Touya a shocked look, even Dabi had been thrown off guard at the unusual behaviour of his normally shy and docile twin. Touya however seemed unfazed, still glaring at the thing. Gently placing his hands where your neck met your jawline, he forced you to stare at him; eyes serious and leaving no room for argument.
“Listen to me. I don’t care who it is, I don’t care if I have to take on the authorities, the government, the entire country, or the entire world. I am going to get that thing off your neck. And after that we can come back here, start a new life, with new people. If you’d like, of course. But until then you can depend on me, I know you’ve probably never needed anyone in your life, so let me be the first, and I swear to you on my life that I’ll protect you because I” He faltered for a split second, eyes looking down before snapping back up. His face leaning so close that it felt like you two were back at the park that fateful day. “- I lo-”
“LOOK OVER THERE!! AREN’T THOSE CUTE?!” And just like last time Dabi interrupted and you were literally ripped away from Touya’s trance. “You said you wanted a dog plush right? The shiba inu one has ya name on it Doll, and I’m gonna win it for ya”
“But I wanted to hear what Touya had to sa-”
“BE AMAZED AT MY AIM!” You looked at the redhead funny. Dabi was confident yes but he was never obnoxiously loud. In fact the only time he gets loud is when you’re having some kind of moment with Touya.
You raised a brow at the game he stopped in front of, but he was right, that shiba inu plush was so cute and it practically did have your name on it. You were about to turn your head to look at Touya, but Dabi just moved it so your attention was on him. Just on him.
“And since this isn’t the real world we’re use to, anything goes right?” With a smirk, Dabi’s quirk lit up from his hands, the ball along with it. The whole thing was a blur, one moment there was a perfectly good stall, the next there was nothing but a burnt after image of it. The smell of ash polluting the air. “Oops.”
“Nice one smartass” Touya scoffed, not so subtly checking you for any kind of marks. “You could’ve set this whole place on fire.”
“It’s not as bad as it looks.” Jumping over the counter, the red head proudly held up the shiba inu plush. “See completely fine.”
The stuffed toy was that cute potato shape with little triangle ears. Signature dots for brows and two bigger dots for eyes. Even with the scorch marks from Dabi’s blue flames, it was perfect to you.
“It’s perfect, I love it.” Walking over, you wrapped your arms around your friend, pulling him into a tight hug. “Thank you Dabi.”
It was hard to fight back the warmth your body felt when his arms did the same, it was hard to tell if it was coming from him, who was a few temperatures higher himself, or if it was coming from you. Your cheeks were burning and it was hard to understand why considering you’ve hugged Dabi before, why was now so different?
“Alright it’s my turn” Looking behind, Touya was already making his way to the balloon pop stand. “How about I get you that akita plush?”
The plush in question was round in shape and slightly bigger than the one currently in your grasp. It was a darker brown and lacked the eyebrows of shiba’s. What it did have was this cute white and brown bandana adorned around its neck.
Touya must have taken this as a time to show off his control, opposite of his twin who’d only wanted to show power, as a single line of ice spikes tore their ways through the balloons at once. The way Touya’s ice appeared always fascinated you, how it glistened and sparkled made it look almost unreal. Something that could hypnotise you like only one other, that other being Dabi’s flames. With a big smile on his face, the elder twin handed you the plush.
“For you.” Stepping forward with a big smile, you took the plush. You would’ve hugged Touya too, however Dabi didn’t give you the chance before he was pulling you elsewhere.
That’s practically how the entire date went. Touya would try to get close to you, only for it to be interrupted by Dabi. The redhead had hogged you throughout the whole night. Every ride he forced you to sit next to him, every game he would play, you had to be there cheering him on. As a result, Touya hardly got to spend any time with you. Something that was annoying, mainly because your heart would ache. Ache to be with Touya as well as ache to stay with Dabi. Eventually it got so overwhelming you dug your feet into the ground and refused to move. Nearly smashing into Touya who was running to catch up.
“I want to ride the ferris wheel.” Blinking, Dabi looked at you confused.
“Of course we can ride the ferris wheel Doll, all you had to do was ask”
“I want to ride it with the three of us.” Grabbing both Touya’s and Dabi’s hand, your small heart fluttered in content. “With me in the middle this time.”
There was a small frown of disagreement on the red heads side, however that’s as far as he went with it. Thankfully the three of you made it onto the ride without much resistance and you got to sit in the middle, not letting go of eithers hand the entire time. By the time you had gotten to the top, the twins' eyes were both drooping in desperate need of sleep. It would’ve been a cute sight had the reason for their tiredness not been so harsh. Looking out to the rest of the carnival, it would be expected to feel a bit uneasy considering how deserted it was, but that wasn;t the case for you. Large crowds weren’t exactly your thing to begin with so still being able to experience your first carnival was something to remember.
“The view up here is amazing.” Touya smiled, tightening his hand around yours as Dabi’s did the same.
“I’m not gonna lie, I really don’t wanna go back. It’s pretty here.” A saddened look crossed the redhead's face, a longing look rooted deep within his turquoise eyes.
“We can always come back when things get too stressful. Besides I don’t think either of us would be able to keep our sanity if there were just us three in the world.” Looking up at the night sky, you were mesmerised by the twinkling stars, so bright yet so small in the grand scheme of things.
“Still it’s a nice thought.” It truly was, but these little moments were more than good enough.

Smiling at the memory, you brung the plushes to your chest, the memories warming your insides. By the time the ferris wheel had reached the bottom, both twins had ended up falling asleep and you wanted to let them. Unfortunately for all three of you, creating the pocket dimension had taken a lot of power, so the silent world came crashing down suddenly and the twins were awakened by screaming carnival goers.
Looking down at your hand, you activated your quirk, causing the red wisps to cover it entirely. A reality warping quirk is powerful, however the toll it takes later on matches up with its usage. After the date you spent the next few days nauseous and barely able to do much without fainting. The twins still didn’t know to this day despite all the times you’d warp things for them, but the setbacks didn’t matter to you. Them and what they wanted were far more important.
After going to the bathroom, you picked up the plushes and went back into the middle of your two lovers. Their arms wrapping around you almost instantly, fitting perfectly. Like they were made to be there.

I'm probably gonna end this story pretty soon, but hopefully it won't seemed too rushed.

Chapter Text
It had been a few days since you had to patch up Touya, the boy walking around as if nothing happened as he always does. You never understood how someone could be that strong, but said boy would shrug it off and say he was use to it. All of which led you to now, sitting at your desk at school, waiting for your boyfriends as they had to go home, filled to the brim with worry for their mother and siblings, especially the youngest, Shoto who has unfortunately manifested both quirks from his parents. It made the poor boy a prime target for Endeavour. Apparently the boy's training has already started despite his young age.
Being in your thoughts, you hadn’t noticed the evil eye that was currently thrown in your direction by a certain sandy blonde. Sunako has had it out for you ever since Dabi stopped playing around with her and got serious with you instead. However, you didn’t mind. She could glare til her heart's content, but that's all she’ll ever be able to do.
You’ve shown her where she stands and it’ll never be equal to you. Not in power and most certainly not to Dabi.

The gym was loud as everyone trained, quirks on full power. You on the other hand didn’t have to work nearly as hard. Sure you’d wave your hand every now and again, but that was just to make it look like you were doing something. Red wisps would carry something here and there. Not even the teachers would come check up on you and in all honesty you couldn't blame them. It has to be hard teaching someone who has a quirk like yours. There were times when you wondered why you enrolled in this course in the first place, but you know why you stay.
Across the room was a pair of twins, one with white hair and the other with red who were currently trying to strengthen their durability. Dabi had an amazing fire quirk, however even he couldn't go too long until his own flames began to burn him. Touya had a mesmerising ice quirk, he could make blocks of ice as big as glaciers. His setback was his body temperature that dropped every time he used it, potentially causing frostbite. They trained hard everyday, at home and now at school. Their strength both physical and mental was amazing. When comparing it to yourself, you felt almost guilty and very lazy.
Frowning, you get up from your spot. Due to your quirk, you pushed to the back of the gym. There wasn’t much to do back and you were beginning to think that was on purpose. Activating your quirk lifted you in the air, overlooking everyone in the gym. It wasn’t just the twins that were training hard, everyone was. Tensei was pushing his durability and increase his speed. Even Kazashi and Sunako were training. The sand girl learning to harden the structures she makes on her own instead of relying on someone else. Kazashi on the other hand was strengthening her intuition, feeling for her partner with her eyes closed. Catching them almost every time in a hairy prison.
Raising your hands, you were about to create another pocket dimension, one you could actually train in until the teacher stepped forward.
“Alright that’s enough for today. Go and get changed for break.” The nonchalant tone would have done a good job at masking his real intentions if he hadn't looked in your direction.
Your eyes glowed red to show your displeasure, though that was as far as it went before going back to their normal colour. Lowering yourself down onto the ground, you couldn't fight the pout that made its way to your face. A pout that didn’t go unnoticed by a certain pair.
“What’s with the cute pout Doll?” Dabi asked, head tilted to the side.
“Nothing” You smiled, trying to stifle your disappointment. “I just had a nice period relaxing and I’m just sad it’s over that’s all”
Judging by the looks on their faces, neither twin believed you. Thankfully they didn’t push anything. Touya’s hand made its way to your head, giving a small pat.
“Hey how about next time we train together?”
You looked up at the white haired boy with hopeful eyes. “Really? I’d love that.”
“Good cause we need to work more on your combat skills. You can be prepared for if you go over your limit.”
In all honesty you hadn’t thought about that. With one wave of your hand all your problems go away and you were use to that, but what if you went against someone else with a quirk like yours? Plus there’s still your own drawbacks if you use too much at once. You could do so much yet so little at the same time.
“Yea well we better go get changed. I’m starving.” Dabi said as he pushed his twins hand off your head. “We’ll wait for you outside the gym.”
With a nod, you went separate ways. Heading into the girls locker room, you were tempted to walk back out as Sunako’s loud voice bounced off the walls.
“Dabi and I are pretty much official so I don’t know why he’s hanging around other girls.” The blonde girl sneered, roughly shoving her hero uniform into her locker. “He always does this. Goes out with other girls and then comes back to me. I swear one of these days I’m not gonna be there just to teach him a lesson.”
You had to hold in your scoff. It was painful how unaware she was about her place as one of the girls Dabi played around with. You don’t think he could ever be the type of person to get serious with anyone let alone someone like her. It just wasn’t possible.. Was it?
“Who am I kidding? As soon as he calls I’ll come running and he knows it.” The sound of her voice sounded so sad, you almost felt sorry for the girl.
Sunako sounded so vulnerable. There was a moment where you could relate. If Dabi is anything with other girls like he is to you, then it’s no shock why these girls get their heartbroken. He always seems so genuine and his charm is not something to be ignored. In fact it’s hard not to get caught up in his sweet words and even sweeter touches. You suddenly felt sick. Not being able to hear the blonde's words anymore, you were about to leave and just alter yourself into your uniform, that was until you heard your name.
“I don’t understand why he hangs around her so much. I’ve told him to stop cause I don’t like it and you know what he said to me? That she and I aren’t even on the same level and that I don’t even compare to her. Good. You know if she wasn’t born with such an overpowered quirk I would-”
“You would what? Please tell me, I’m very curious as to how that ends.” Sunako froze, the smell of fear practically coming off her in spades, but you didn’t care.
Remembering all those times Dabi was with you, your heart clenched so hard it hurt. All those sweet words, those times he called you beautiful, the date at the carnival, how he won you that plush, how he held your hand with such care and gentleness. Was it all for show? All so he could get into your pants? You were angry, no you were infuriated both at Sunako and Dabi, however only one unfortunate soul was in front of you now.
“What’s wrong? You were talking so confidently before.” Red wisps whirled angrily around your hands.
“It’s not- I didn’t” She didn’t get to finish her sentence as a ball of red went hurling at her, causing a wave of sand to block it.
Just seeing her block your attack made you even angrier. Altering the shield away, you began throwing more bolts at her. At this point everyone in the locker room had long since ran out, not wanting to get caught in the middle. No matter how many bolts you threw, Sunako would keep blocking them. You had the stronger quirk yes, but one on one like this where you were throwing hits clearly gave her the advantage as she was more experienced in defence. As long as you were angrily throwing bolts at her, she was safe behind her sand walls.
Anger is such a strong emotion, it has the ability to take normally rational people and flip them to an incoherent mess. Such was as the case with you. If you hadn’t been so emotional you would’ve noticed the line of sand slowly making its way towards your ankle. One moment you were firing at her, the next you were in the air and thrown against one of the lockers. The room began to spin and vision disoriented. Brain pulsing against your skull in pain. Pain? What you were feeling was pain? You learnt very quickly that you didn’t like pain, it hurt and it hurt a lot.
‘It should be her feeling this. She deserves to feel this pain, not me.’ As if on cue, Sunako’s screams filled the room. Red wisps covering her almost violently, bringing her off her feet and into the air. Completely overpowering her sand every time it tried to escape.
Her screams sounded so horrible, but you couldn't find it in yourself to care. Did Dabi really prefer Sunako over you? There was once a time where you thought you could be happy for him regardless of who he went with, so what made now so different?
The pain never seemed to dull, in fact it only got worse.
“Doll what are you doing?!”
Normally his voice would’ve made you feel better, but that wasn’t the case this time. The pain in your chest finally got too much and it felt like your poor heart burst. Aggressive whirls of red exploded out of your chest, disintegrating most they touched including the lockers whilst altering others such as the walls, glitching like a bad video tape. What made it worse was the fact you weren’t doing any of it. This was the first time you had no control over your quirk.
‘Stop! Stop please!’ Red refused to listen as it only expanded, causing further destruction. At this rate it would envelope the entire school, Dabi and Touya along with it.
“Dabi wait!” Was all you heard before arms made their way around your shoulders, protectively holding you to a warm chest.
“It’s alright, Doll, everythings gonna be alright. I’m here now.”
“Dabi please, you have to take Touya and run!” You looked at him in desperation, trying to push him away. “I’m not safe to be around, you’ve got to go”
“Not when you’re hurting this bad.” Despite your shouts, his voice was completely calm. “I can see it on your face that you’re in pain, so don’t even try to deny it. I may not know the full story, but Doll whatever she said you gotta ignore it-”
“I can’t!” At that another burst came flying out of your chest, altering the ceiling this time as it glitched, seeing the empty classroom above with the desks falling through as a result, narrowly missing you and Dabi. “You said she and I weren’t on the same level. That I couldn't compare to her. How could you do this to me? I thought we were friends!”
“Of course you two will never be on the same level because unlike her I actually care about you. I care about you so much I can’t even put it into words.” His grip around you only seemed to tighten. “I wish I could take this pain from you Doll, I really do.”
As angry as you wanted to be with him, the sincerity in his voice made it impossible. What Sunako said was a big misunderstanding. Dabi cared about you, not her.. Or did he? Speaking of the blonde, her screams had died down to cries and whimpers, clearly choosing to rely on Dabi to get her out of the torture you were putting her through. What if he’s just lying so he can save her?
That thought caused the red from your chest to expand even more. Surely it has gone beyond the walls of the locker room by now. ‘No I can’t be thinking like this! These thoughts are wrong. Dabi isn’t like that!’
Your heart didn’t seem to be listening, even as you were completely engulfed by fear at the very real damage your quirk was about to do to the school, it only spewed out more red. People always said you were dangerous, ever since you were young and all you did was tune them out because they couldn't possibly be right, they were nothing but a bunch of paranoid fools. Now it seemed you were the fool this time.
Buzzing, that’s what you could hear, particularly buzzing in your left ear, where that device was. It was charging up, giving you a small warning before electricity will eventually travel through your body. Closing your eyes, you start to slowly accept your fate.
“Dabi, my device is about to activate.”
With horror in his eyes, he tried putting his hand on your chest, an attempt to push your quick back in manually, however it only shot his hand away. “Don’t worry Doll, nothing will happen. We’ll figure this out before it has the chance.”
He was about to try again, however you just grabbed his hand and held it.
“Doll-”
“It’s too late.”
“No it’s not! Don’t say that. You’re going to be fine, the authorities are never going to touch you.” Looking up, your eyes met with his. “I will protect you. No one is going to take you away from me.”
Dabi’s voice faltered as you brought a hand up to his cheek. If this was going to be your last few moments alive then you wanted to soak up the little time you had left. It seemed the redhead thought the same as he also placed a hand on your cheek, except until like you, he began leaning in, face inches from yours.
“Doll I.. I lov-”
Dabi never got to finish the sentence as the sound of desks and lockers crashing to the floor as red wisps disappeared. The heavy feeling on your chest going with, almost as if someone had flipped a switch and turned your quirk off.
“Oh dear what a mess.” A familiar voice said. “The school janitor is doing to dread cleaning this up.”
“Principal Nezu.” Turning your head, there stood the small mouse like principal. He was standing there with a man whose eyes glowed red and hair stood up in the air.
“It’s a good thing you took that teaching job Erasure otherwise we would all be doomed.” Walking, the large rodent stopped in front you. The sound of your name being tsked from his lips. “You’ve caused a lot of destruction in my school today. Your parents will be notified immediately and you are to come to my office right this instant. Up you go.”
Without waiting for an answer, the principal turned around and walked away, not even waiting for you to collect your bearings.
“Oh my god.” Touya was quick to rush to yours and Dabi's side, arms wrapping around you both. “Never scare me like that again.”
Even though the principal didn’t wait for you, it seemed the raven with the red eyes did. The reality of what could’ve happened crashing down on you suddenly. The twins hugged you tight and you hugged them back.
-
-
After grounding yourself, you had managed to make it to the principal’s office, the raven hot on your heels the entire way. You found out the man was a new teacher and his eyes weren’t permanently red and hair didn’t constantly stick up, but you didn’t find that out until the man blinked. After your mother had come to the school in a panic, Nezu had told her about the damage you’d caused and that you were suspended for a week. Despite her screams, Sunako managed to escape the ordeal without any injuries, it seemed the torture you put her through was purely mental, however Dabi never paid her any attention. In fact he never went to her again after that incident. Or any other girl for that matter.
Feeling lips on your cheek, you jumped only to come face to face with a smirking Dabi.
“Sorry Doll you just looked so lost in thought.”
“You ok?” Touya looked at you, clearly worried as he took his normal seat in front of you.
“Yea just thinking. Don’t worry about it. Hey I couldn't figure out question five on our homework, did you?”
Notes:
One day the boys will be able to confess their feelings without being interrupted. One day.
