November 28, 1988
Morioh, Japan
His name was Yoshikage Kira, 22 years old. His house was in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas were, and he had a girlfriend. Although he always said that he lived alone he actually shared his home with two spirits. One of them was the ghost of his late father Yoshihiro, who was bound to a camera due to his Stand. The other ghost was an alternate version of himself, who came from the future eleven years ago in order to stop him from commiting the mistakes that caused his death.
Thankfully it worked. After some hard times Yoshikage managed to contain the murderous outbursts that originally consumed him. His original self's ghost said that he felt proud of him and now he wasn't beside him so often. Yoshikage wasn't sure if having a serial killer being proud of him was good, but he accepted the compliment nonetheless.
Sometimes, he had nightmares of his original self's life. He saw himself entering Reimi's house in the night with a knife, first he killed her dog, Arnold, and hanged his corpse on the clothes hook in the wall. Then he entered her parents' bedroom and killed them while they were sleeping. Finally, he arrived at the living room where his main objective awaited him. He could hear her screaming for help and saw the horror in her face when she realized that everyone who could've helped her was dead. Even then, Reimi Sugimoto didn't run away, she tried to convince him, the person who killed her family, to stop the massacre now and then. And when she saw that words wouldn't stop him, she tried to hit him with a bottle that was on a table. He dodged it, grabbed her by the neck and started strangling her. Desperated she kicked him in the stomach. That was the last straw, Kira grabbed the knife, still stained with the blood of Reimi's family, and stabbed her in the back.
In that instant, Yoshikage would wake up screaming, and would quietly thank his friends and everyone who, unknowingly, helped him become a better person than his original self and stopped that horrifying event from ever happening. Things had gotten even more confusing when Reimi became his girlfriend.
It happened eight months ago, during the wedding of two of his former classmates, Kosaku Kawajiri and Shinobu Kondo. At first, Yoshikage didn't want to go, Kosaku and him were never friends anyway, but everyone else was going too, so he decided to go with them to avoid standing out.
During the following party, he stood away from everyone and ate alone, minding his own business. He didn't know what to say when Reimi approached him. One thing led to another and now he was on a romantic relationship with the girl he killed in another universe.
Bizarre.
His original self's ghost was kinda apathetic at the news, quietly congratulating him while opening a beer can. He didn't know where a ghost could find beer, but now that was the only thing he ever drank. Yoshikage wasn't sure of the motives of his original self's sudden alcoholism, perhaps he was jealous of his relationship with Reimi, perhaps he was just bored, and perhaps he was starting to see himself as the monster he is. Yoshikage couldn't help but to feel bad for him.
The only thing that still confused him was Kakyoin. Kakyoin was the first friend he made and his positive influence was undeniably one of the factors that helped Yoshikage overcome his inner rage. But the last few times he saw him he changed. He was more quiet and his positive attitude disappeared, it was almost like if he was another person. He was thinking about that when his father's ghost suddenly appeared in front of him.
"What's the matter?" Yoshikage asked confused, his dad only acted this way when something important happened.
"Well, dear son, there's something I think you should know. I've heard you wondering if something was wrong with your friend. His name is Kyokin, isn't it?"
"His name is Kakyoin." He replied, annoyed.
"Oh yeah, Kakyoin. Well, yesterday I was in a reunion with a few friends from work if you know what I mean."
Yoshikage was hating the way this conversation was heading. Those "friends from work" could only mean he reunited with fellow servants of DIO, a 120 year old vampire who gave his father the Arrow which granted the Kiras their Stands. If Kakyoin was part of their conversation that could only mean that something very wrong happened to him.
"They showed us a picture of a boy who looked really similar to that Kyokin boy."
Yoshikage didn't even bother to correct his dad's spelling. "Why did they do that, what happened to him?"
The photograph in which his dad was bound to was starting to tremble. "Apparently he became one of DIO's servants and was tasked to eliminate some of his enemies. We were ordered to help eliminate them in case he fails. They said that we mustn't speak of this to anyone but I thought you should know."
Yoshikage felt like his head was going to explode. "It doesn't make sense, Kakyoin would never become anyone's servant, not willingly at least."
"DIO has a way to turn reluctant people into his servants, apparently he introduces some sort of flesh bud into their forehead to brainwash them."
Yoshikage felt like he was going to vomit at any moment. The previous times he saw Kakyoin he had his hair covering his forehead, Yoshikage didn't ask about it because he thought it was a fashion trend or something.
How could he be so damn stupid?
Yoshikage turned around and started preparing his things.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" His dad flew again in front of him. "I only told you this because I hated to see you worried about what happened to that boy. You can't do anything about it."
"But I can help him". His dad screamed when he heard those words. " YOU CAN'T, UNDERSTAND? Trying to free that boy would mean that you are challenging DIO, and anyone who challenges DIO dies a horrible death, understand?"
He understood what his father said, but he didn't care. Without Kakyoin's help Yoshikage would be now a serial killer living a life of loneliness. He couldn't just abandon him in a moment like this.
"Stop Yoshikage. You can't do this, listen to me!!!"
Yoshikage grabbed his father's photograph and threw him away through the window. He flew back inside quickly but didn't try to convince him anymore.
"The only thing I will say is that I hope you change your mind on this. But if you so wish, I'll give you the direction where Kakyokin was sent to. I'll pray for you my son."
A few minutes later, while Yoshikage was finishing preparing for the travel to Tokyo, his original self's ghost appeared in front of him.
"Are you going to try to stop me like our father?"
The ghost sighed. "If I had the smallest hope that you would listen I would try, but I know how determined we can get sometimes. I just came to tell you that I'm going to go with you. After all the only reason I stay here is to help you."
That confused Yoshikage, he had already made sure he didn't become a serial killer, he now had a relatively happy life. What did the ghost need so he could finally consider this mission a success and go to wherever ghosts went when they moved on?
The ghost looked at the window and whispered something he couldn't listen.
"Perhaps you should also call Reimi." The ghost said after a while.
"She's a Stand User too and her power could be helpful. Also I'm sure that she won't be happy to hear that you risked your life this way without telling her."
That was, that was actually a very good advice. Yoshikage got up and went to the phone to call Reimi.
"Thank you" he said to the ghost for some reason.
The ghost sighed and continued watching the street through the window.
"You're welcome".

Cairo, Egypt
“Heaven is close.” DIO felt that fact burn deeply within his heart as he continued with his preparations for the ritual which would give him the power to turn the world into the Heaven he always dreamed of. "50 days left."
Quietly, DIO thought about how his enemies' interference would affect his plans. Perhaps turning Yoshikage Kira's best friend into his brainwashed servant wasn't one of his best ideas.
He sighed, there was no point in regretting the past. Unbeknownst for Yoshikage and his girlfriend, Kakyoin had already been freed from his control by Jotaro Kujo, their group was right now investigating in which country DIO was located. When Yoshikage and Reimi arrived in Tokyo, they would surely join the team.
DIO sighed again, he couldn't let them interfere with the upcoming ritual. His alliance with Yoshihiro didn't matter at all.
Anyone who defied DIO must be eliminated. On his orders Enya has already sent a group of Stand Users to intercept his enemies on their way to Egypt.
He looked again at the photos created by 「Hermit Prime」, Jonathan's Stand. He had lots of pictures in his room, some of them were of his servants, others were of his enemies or people he thought would be important later on. Four of them were of the women DIO had children with. He had the boys' names written under the photographs.
Haruno Shiobana, Donatello Versus, Rikiel Marshall and Ungalo Emmanuel. Once they grew up, these children would be archangels and will rule Heaven alongside their father and God.
DIO.
"50 days left".

Tokyo, Japan
After two and a half hours of travel by train, Yoshikage and Reimi finally arrived in Tokyo.
It took them another 15 minutes to find the house of the person Kakyoin was sent to kill. Damn, this family must be rich, their house was really large.
Not knowing exactly what to do Yoshikage called at the doorbell.
A few seconds later the door opened.
In front of them stood a student who seemed to be around 17 or 18 years old. He wore a black school uniform and a black hat. "Who the hell are you?" the boy asked.
Damn, apparently this boy wasn't used to greeting visitors at all.
Reimi answered the question, "We were looking for our friend Kakyoin. We heard he might be here, if that's not the case we'll leave."
The boy continued staring at them.
"「Star Platinum」" The boy shouted, after which a purple spirit appeared beside him. Could he be another follower of DIO? Either way, he didn't seem friendly.
"「Killer Queen」" Yoshikage called his own Stand, if what this student wanted is a fight, he'll get exactly that.
"「Delilah」" Reimi also summoned her Stand. Delilah wasn't very useful for physical combat, but it could communicate with any animal nearby. Perhaps she could make a pack of dogs attack this student.
"What is going on?!" Two men came running from the house. One of them seemed to be in his 60s, Yoshikage remembered seeing him once before but he couldn't remember now.
The other seemed to be in his mid-20s and looked to be of Arab descent.
"What's happening Jotaro?" The older man asked the student.
The student, Jotaro, replied without breaking eye contact with Yoshikage. "Apparently they came here looking for Kakyoin. DIO must have discovered our plan and sent them to kill us."
Damn, that Jotaro was really pissing him off.
"Jotaro look! They don't have flesh buds on their foreheads." The Arab man said.
Jotaro sighed, "Yare yare daze, that can only mean that they joined DIO willingly, they are pure evil just like him."
Reimi tried to calm everyone down, "Please listen, there must be a misunderstanding… "
"「Magician's Red」"
"「Hermit Purple」"
Reimi looked at Yoshikage. He sighed, they both knew they didn't stand a chance against three enemies at the same time. He swore that if they end up fighting, the first thing he'll do is make that Jotaro guy explode, just for being a prick.
"We'll say this one last time so I hope you guys prepare your ears" Yoshikage said loudly.
"Where. Is. Noriaki. Kakyoin."
"What's with all the noise?" Another voice was heard as a familiar face came running. It was Kakyoin.
"Yoshikage! Reimi! You came here?!"
Kakyoin gave a look at the other three guys. "Put the Stands down, they are my friends."
They all obeyed, except Jotaro who continued staring at Yoshikage for a moment before saying "Yare yare daze".
"How did you guys knew where I was?" Kakyoin asked.
"Well, we were ambushed by one of DIO's servants, after defeating him he said that you were brainwashed so we came here to help you" That was a lie, but Yoshikage thought that revealing that his father was one of DIO's main followers wouldn't be a great idea.
"Well, it's great, I'm gonna present you the others."
Kakyoin turned around to look to the three men, "These are my friends Yoshikage Kira and Reimi Sugimoto."
"I am Joseph Joestar." the old man said.
"My name is Muhammad Avdol, sorry the previous inconvenience, we are all nervous due to recent events. My apologies." Thank God, at least one of them was educated.
Kakyoin pointed at the student. "And this is Jotaro Kujo, Joseph's grandson."
Jotaro rose his eyebrow "I still think that they might be DIO's followers".
Yoshikage never felt this level of urge of punching someone in the face before.
Joseph sighed, "Please excuse my grandson, his mother has gotten ill recently."
"Shut the fuck up old geezer."
Kakyoin laughed.
"Well, we should be happy that you are here. As Joseph said Jotaro's mother has gotten ill due to DIO's influence, so we are going to Egypt to cure her and end DIO once and for all.
No, he isn't saying what he thought he was saying. The plan was just find Kakyoin, free him of DIO's influence and then return happily to Morioh.
He looked at Reimi, hoping that she thought the same.
"We are going with you."
Reimi what the fuck?!
She looked at him and said, "Just who knows how many people he also posessed like Kakyoin. How many lives he ruined… We can't just return home like if nothing happened."
Kakyoin laughed, "That's the spirit!"
Yoshikage sighed, he knew he couldn't convince Reimi to go back to Morioh. She was the kind of person who would never feel good if she knew that someone was suffering. That was one of the reasons he loved her.
"Yeah, we'll go." There was nothing else Yoshikage could say.
Even if he didn't want to go he couldn't let Reimi go and risk her life alone. If Yoshikage deserved a second chance at life, Reimi surely deserved it too.
Joseph touched his beard, "Well, it won't be a problem to reserve two more seats on the plane. What do you think Jotaro, should we trust these folks?"
Jotaro again stared at Yoshikage, "I am still unsure, during the flight I'll use Star Platinum to keep them under vigilance."
Yoshikage wanted to tell Jotaro where he could shove his Star Platinum.
Yeah, this was going to be a long, long trip.

Well, there goes the first chapter of "An Explosive Crusade". As could be expected, due to having two more members in the team some of the fights are going to go way different than in canon. The ending is going to change a lot too, there will be characters from other parts. It's gonna be epic.
As always, comments are appreciated.

Chapter Text
November 29, 1988
Hong Kong
Reimi Sugimoto loved travelling, she liked visiting new places and seeing new cultures. This was the first international trip she made without her parents, and it was shaping up to be the weirdest one to date.
It started relatively normal, with her, Yoshikage, Kakyoin, Jotaro, Joseph and Avdol going on an airplane headed to Egypt. This peace only lasted for a few hours, after which that beetle Stand, 「Tower of Gray」 started attacking them. The Stand was impossibly fast, managing to outpace both Jotaro's 「Star Platinum」 and Yoshikage's 「Killer Queen」 , after which it tore apart some of passengers' tongues to write the word "MASSACRE" on the walls. Fortunately, they were able to stop that bastard thanks to Kakyoin, whose 「Hierophant Green」was able to trick and impale it.
Their victory was short lived, as they soon discovered that their enemy had also killed the plane pilots, forcing Joseph to land the plane in the coast of Hong Kong (it apparently was the third plane crash he was in, how can someone be so unlucky?) .
The only good thing she could take from the experience was the knowledge that her teammates were good people. Both Joseph and Avdol seemed to be quite friendly and even Jotaro could be nice when he wasn't accusing you of being a spy. Yoshikage would disagree on that of course, as his relationship with Jotaro was really strained. In Reimi's opinion the reason was because they were too similar, as much as Yoshikage liked to talk about how Jotaro acted like a jerk in Tokyo she was sure that he would have done the same in his situation. She also knew that he wouldn't believe her if she told him. And to be honest, in this increasingly stressful journey, watching Yoshikage and Jotaro screaming at each other was highly entertaining. Sometimes they even summoned their Stands, forcing Reimi and Kakyoin to do their best to calm them down.
The group was now sitting in a restaurant planning their next move.
As usual, Jotaro was the first to talk. "Well, old man, what's the plan now?"
Joseph looked at the menu before answering his grandson's question. "Flying to Egypt is simply no longer a possibility. If we encounter a Stand User like in the last flight, we would be putting even more innocents in harm's way."
"However, if we fail to find DIO within fifty days, Holly will die." Avdol quietly remarked. That was the main reason why Joseph, Jotaro and Avdol wanted to kill DIO as soon as possible, if they didn't Holly, Joseph's daughter and Jotaro's mother, would die. Kakyoin's motive was to redeem himself and to make DIO pay for brainwashing him. Reimi wanted to stop him from ever ruining any more lives, and Yoshikage came with them just because he didn't want to leave Kakyoin and Reimi alone.
Joseph continued, "One hundred years ago, Jules Verne wrote a story in which a man travelled around the world, a total of fourty thousand kilometers, in eighty days. That was in the age of trains and steamboats. Even without a plane we still can travel the ten thousand kilometers to Egypt in less than fifty days."
Reimi sighed, "Finally, good news."
Joseph pulled out a world map he had in his pocket. "We'll head to Cairo by sea. We'll charter a suitably-sized boat, go around the Malay peninsula, and cross the Indian ocean. It will be the Silk Road of the sea."
Yoshikage laughed, "That sounds like an amazing route Joseph, but you are underestimating the dangers we'll face on the way. It only took one enemy to cause our plane to crash. How many will it take for our ship to sink?"
Kakyoin sighed, "Come on Yoshikage, let's be positive."
Jotaro looked at his menu, "For once I have to agree with Yoshikage, we can't expect that our ship will go the entire way without suffering damage. That's not positivism, that's stupidity."
Wow, it had to be the first time Yoshikage and Jotaro agreed on something.
Joseph continued, "As both Yoshikage and Jotaro remarked, our biggest danger will be the Stand Users DIO sends after us. We'll have to do our best to reach Egypt without being spotted." And so the plan was decided.
A minute after finishing that conversation, the group was ready to finally order the food. Now that everyone was in a lighter mood, Yoshikage looked at Joseph.
"Joseph…" Yoshikage said after finishing ordering his food.
"What's the matter?" The old man replied.
"For a while I had the thought that I've seen your face before, but I couldn't remember exactly when."
"... And now you do?" Joseph replied.
"Yeah, it was in summer six years ago in Morioh."
"Mmm, six years ago, that means it was in 1982…" Joseph's skin started looking pale for some reason.
Jotaro rose his eyebrow, "What were you doing in Morioh at that time?"
Joseph gasped, "Well, I don't remember it well, I am sure it was something related to my investigations."
Yoshikage looked at his food, which had just arrived. "Investigations… that makes sense. But you were really getting along with the locals if you know what I mea… BZZZZ"
Suddenly, Yoshikage got up of his chair as if he had just been electrocuted. "What happened?" Kakyoin asked.
"Nothing, maybe we should change topics."
Joseph smiled, "Yeah, that would be the best option."
Reimi thought about what Yoshikage said, summer of '82… Suddenly she remembered seeing a big old man one day in the park, she didn't look at him much because she was busy babysitting Rohan, but she remembered seeing him with a girl… Tomoko.
Five years ago, in April, Tomoko had a son, which she named Josuke. She didn't marry so the identity of the boy's father became the cause of much gossipping around the town. Could it be that Josuke is Joseph's son? That would also mean that Josuke was Jotaro's uncle. Reimi was having a headache trying to think about it.
Their conversation was interrupted when a tourist approached their table, he seemed to be European, in his early 20s, his hair was of a weird silver color and wore a black outfit.
"Excusez moi, but I've been having problems reading the menu. It's my first time here… Could ya help me out?"
Jotaro sighed, "... Talk about annoying, fuck off."
Reimi sighed, Jotaro's social skills never disappointed…
Thankfully Joseph was far more friendly than his grandson. "Come on Jotaro, it's fine."
Joseph then called a waiter and started pointing at the menu. "We'll have, this, this, this and… Yeah, and that too!"
Sometimes she forgot that Joseph was literally made of cash. He usually laughed and said that among all their problems, they would never have to worry about money. She wondered how big his net worth was, just the protessic hand he had, which seemed to come from Star Wars, must have cost a lot.
And so the group, along with their French friend, started eating their food. Wow, it was delicious.
The tourist picked one of the carrots from the salad. "Look, these carrots… They are shaped like stars. It reminds me of something…"
Everyone started looking at him.
The Frenchman smiled, "That's right. Someone I know has a birthmark just like this on their neck…"
Really?! Couldn't they just have a meal without being attacked?
Suddenly, an long sword appeared from a bowl of water on the table in front of Joseph.
"Mr. Joestar! Look out!" Avdol shouted.
The blade striked Joseph's hand, fortunately it was the protessic one. "It's a Stand!" He shouted, as if everyone hadn't already noticed.
To protect themselves, Avdol turned the table around, dropping everything on them.
All that delicious food… Gone to waste.
Avdol summoned his 「Magician's Red」who threw a bunch of fire blasts to their enemy's Stand, who easily deflected them to a nearby table. The flames changed the table's appearance, making it look like a clock.
The Frenchman smiled, "My name is Jean Pierre Polnareff. My Stand represents the Tarot Card of The Chariot. It's name is 「Silver Chariot」. And by the time that clock hits twelve…"
The enemy pointed at Avdol.
"... You'll be pierced by my Stand's blade."

Yoshikage Kira really disliked being a spectator. One of the things he hated the most was having something in front of him and knowing that he couldn't do anything about it, when he was young that anxiety made him bite his nails constantly, even at the point of making himself bleed.
Yoshikage felt a similar feeling while he and the others watched the duel between Avdol and Polnareff in Tiger Balm Garden. The Frenchman guided the group there so that his duel with Avdol could be as honorable as possible.
Yoshikage didn't give a damn about honor. "What are we supposed to do? Just watch?" He said in disbelief as the duel began.
"Polnareff challenged Avdol to a one-on-one fight, and he accepted it. There's nothing else we can do." Joseph said, trying to calm him down.
Jotaro looked at him, "Yare yare daze, if you want something to do then you can look for a shop and buy us something to eat. That annoying European dude over there made half my food go to waste."
Yoshikage smirked "Huh, I think you should be the one doing that Jotaro. Perhaps you can also find a monk who might teach you the ancient art of not being a jerk."
"You bastard…"
Their discussion was interrupted when Silver Chariot deflected some of Magician's Red fire shots to a nearby statue, carving it to resemble his enemy.
"He's mocking me!" Avdol said angrily. In Yoshikage's opinion it was actually a good statue. Perhaps the Garden's owners might even leave it like that once they returned and saw the duel's aftermath.
Jotaro looked at him, obviously trying to finish his previous quote. "You bastard…"
"Come on stop!" Kakyoin and Reimi said in unison meanwhile Kakyoin grabbed Jotaro and Reimi grabbed Yoshikage. "One of us is fighting for his life right now, and all you do is insult each other like children."
"But what else am I supposed to do?" Yoshikage said.
Reimi smiled, "If you want something to do then you can look for a shop and buy us something to eat."
Jotaro actually laughed.
Their discussion was again interrupted when Avdol finally managed to hit his enemy with a barrage of flames. Yoshikage sighed, thinking that this duel was at last over, but then Polnareff jumped various meters high completely unscathed, did a backflip and then explained that his Stand shed off its armor, increasing its speed.
For God's sake, how much will this take?
Thankfully Avdol apparently agreed that this was taking far too long, as he revealed his strongest technique, Crossfire Hurricane Special, which finally managed to beat Polnareff.
Avdol then approached his defeated enemy, who was still surrounded by flames, and gave him a dagger. "Burning is a horrible way to die, so I give you this. Use that dagger to kill yourself."
"Whoa, that's a good quote." A voice was heard behind Yoshikage. The ghost of his original self was usually away from him, apparently because he didn't want to make Yoshikage look suspicious in front of his teammates.
Polnareff refused to take the easy way out so Avdol, recognizing his chivalry, freed him from the flames. The group soon discovered that he was being brainwashed just like Kakyoin before. Jotaro took the flesh bud out easily.
Joseph laughed, "Now that he doesn't have a flesh bud we can be bud-dies hehe."
Good try Joseph.
A few hours later the group arrived at Hong Kong's docks, where a ship crewed by the Speedwagon Foundation waited for them. But they weren't the only ones…
"What's this? You want something more…" Avdol said to the returned Polnareff.
"I didn't thank you for freeing me from DIO's grasp yet."
"For that, you must thank JoJo."
Polnareff then asked Joseph about his hands. Apparently the Frenchman has been looking for a serial killer who raped and murdered his sister Sherry three years ago. He believed that her killer was one of DIO's followers so he wanted to join the group to find him.
Everyone agreed, Polnareff seemed to be a good guy while he wasn't possessed, and his story was so tragic. But it affected Yoshikage in another way, a pretty girl from another town, brutally murdered, his brother seeking revenge. It reminded Yoshikage of his original self's murders. If Sherry had been in Morioh at that time, her murderer could have been him.
Yoshikage felt a strange feeling, the same he felt when he killed Angelo five years ago. He was going to prove himself once again that he was far better than those murderers. He almost felt bad for Sherry's killer, he couldn't know the hell that was coming for him.

Meanwhile in Morioh, Japan
A bruised High School student with a pompadour walked alone on a field of snow. There was currently a blizzard going on, the biggest one in decades, so the road was now empty. The closest house was a kilometer away. The student was in the middle of nowhere, with no one else near him. Except for that car of course.
It was there, just as he remembered…
The driver, Tomoko Higashikata, was desperately trying to free her car, whose tires were lodged in the snow. She had motives to be scared, in the back of the car there was her 5-year-old son Josuke, who was ill of a strong fever. She had to take him to the hospital as soon as possible.
Tomoko gasped when she saw the student approaching her car. She didn't recognize him of course, the Josuke she knew was coughing in the back of the car.
"Who are you? Go away!" Tomoko shouted, she was understandably confused as to why there was a student with several bruises and open cuts in the middle of nowhere. If only he could tell her.
The student pointed at the young Josuke inside the car.
"He's sick isn't he? I'll push your car." The student took off his jacket and placed it in front of the cars' rear tires and started pushing the car.
"Hit the gas. As soon as you're free, keep gunning it. Slow down, and you'll get stuck in the snow again."
Tomoko thanked the student as she did what he told her. The young Josuke looked up and saw him pushing the car. That memory would change his life in countless ways.
The student watched as the car slowly disappeared, after which he retrieved his now-shredded jacket and walked away.
A corpse was fifty meters away. It belonged to another teenager who wore the same haircut as him. His body was completely roasted, as if someone incinerated him from inside out. The student healed the body's wounds with his Stand and started digging a hole. Thanks to his Stand's power and speed, he could dig quickly a hole big enough for the body. He deserved a far better burial, but that was all the student could give to him, his saviour. The student knew that he died because of him, if that boy didn't save his life when he was young, he wouldn't have been targeted by that criminal, who tried to stop that event from ever occurring.
In order to prevent fate from being massively altered, the student had to repeat the same actions that boy did so many years ago.
He had become his own saviour.
Once he finished burying the body, the student heard a laugh coming behind him.
"Do you really think this changes anything?" The loud and rough voice contrasted with the body of a young blond kid who was only 7 years old. It just didn't sound natural. The explanation was simple, it wasn't natural.
"Nothing has changed, that's the point." The student was strangely calm, he remembered how he would enter in a massive rage when someone insulted his hair, he knew this was much more important than that but somehow, he felt calm.
The kid's eyes were of a bright, unnatural blue, much different than the grey ones he used to see in him.
The kid looked around and laughed again. "You really picked a good time period to land on. Both of my host's parents, Joseph, Jotaro, Kakyoin, they are all on their way to Egypt." The kid pointed at the student. "No one can save you now, Josuke Higashikata!!"
Josuke, that was the student's name. He didn't say anything, he just stared at his enemy.
"Heh, you're quiet today, Josuke. Is it that your fear makes you unable to talk? That's good. I hate people who die screaming like pigs."
Desperate, Josuke shouted at the boy in front of him, "Teru, I know you are there. Don't let this bastard defeat you. YOU ARE STRONGER THAN THIS!!"
The boy's eyes became grey again for an instant before returning to their eerie blue. "Heh, Josuke, you are more desperate than I thought."
"「Crazy Diamond」" There was nothing else he could do, he had to end this criminal once and for all.
"「Arsonist's Lullaby」" Teru summoned his own Stand, which had the power of manipulating fire. It could also create small creatures from fire, which he called Fireflies, and used them to follow and scare enemies
Josuke prepared for battle. For everyone in Morioh, for Okuyasu, for Koichi, for Rohan. Hell, even for Teru. This had to end.
He had to save that kid from himself.
The kid's name was Yoshiteru Kira.
He was Yoshikage and Reimi's son.

One more chapter! We are introduced to to the unluckiest JoJo Frenchman. The event in which Yoshikage saw Joseph with Tomoko happened in the fourth chapter of the previous fic. Now Yoshikage and Reimi are the only ones who know of Joseph's affair and that Josuke might be his son.
About the Josuke part I can't say much about it, it's what I call a spoiler without context, a snippet to hype things up for the DiU part of the story. We also meet Teru, a problematic fire boi which will be one of the mcs of the DiU part.
Next chapter we'll have Jotaro and Yoshikage teaming up. See ya!
Chapter 3: The Yellow Temperance

Chapter Text
December 7, 1988
Singapore
Nine days. Nine days have passed since the moment Yoshikage Kira, Jotaro Kujo and their allies started their adventure across the world. And they have been filled with fights and bizarre situations. Soon after being joined by Jean Pierre Polnareff, they discovered that the ship they were travelling on had been infiltrated by one of DIO's followers. During the ensuing battle, their ship was destroyed, forcing the survivors to climb up an apparently empty ship going nearby. But of course that ship was controlled by yet another enemy Stand User. The group, accompanied by a young runaway girl named Anne, were the only survivors, and had to go on a lifeboat the entire way to Singapore.
Once they finally arrived at the city, Polnareff was attacked by Devo, another follower of DIO. It seemed that Gray Fly was right when he said at the start of their journey that those loyal to DIO would follow them at every turn.
Now Yoshikage, accompanied by Kakyoin, Jotaro and the runaway girl Anne were walking around the streets of Singapore. The others were in the hotel, finishing the preparations they needed to get on a train to India.
Yoshikage wanted to help them with the preparations but when he and Jotaro started screaming at each other again Reimi told them to take Anne on a walk around the city. Kakyoin went with them to ensure they don't end up summoning their Stands and fighting each other to death. The only thing Jotaro said about it was "Yare yare daze".
The last thing Yoshikage wanted was to spend time with that jerk, but hopefully the company of Kakyoin and Anne would compensate for the inherent rudeness of Jotaro Kujo. Unfortunately for Yoshikage, Kakyoin was strange today. He was acting far more aggressive than usual, having nearly killed a man who stole his wallet, thankfully Yoshikage could stop him.
He didn't understand what was wrong with his friend, that same morning he was the same as always, how can someone change his behaviour so quickly?
The situation became even more suspicious when Anne came running at Yoshikage saying that she saw Kakyoin eating a beetle. What the heck?!
Jotaro was also noticing that something was wrong with their friend as he was also "accidentally" pushed off a ledge by him in the cable car station.
"An enemy Stand must be possessing him, it's the only way this makes sense." Yoshikage said to Jotaro after that.
"Yeah, I agree."
"Do you have any idea how to free him?"
Jotaro looked at Kakyoin, who was licking a cherry.
"Sure, I know the perfect cure." Yoshikage gasped, he knew what would happen when Jotaro had that face.
"You can't just punch everything that annoys you and expect it to work."
"It has worked for me for 17 years so shut the fuck up."
At that moment, a cable car arrived close to them.
"Get on Kakyoin." Jotaro said, after which he raised his fist.
"I've got your ticket right here." Yoshikage could bet that Jotaro spent most of his time thinking of cool lines to say before punching people just to make himself look cooler.
Jotaro continued his pre-oraora monologue, "I can tell you've been possessed by something so allow my fists to send you on your way."
After saying this Jotaro punched Kakyoin in the face. For God's sake?! He even tore apart his jaw.
Even Jotaro was shocked. "What"
That thing that looked like Kakyoin, with his jaw torn open, laughed. "You're wrong" he said. "It would be wrong to say I'm possessed."
Meanwhile he said this, he was still licking a cherry the way Kakyoin used to.
Yoshikage remembered the day he first met Kakyoin, so many years ago. “My parents told me that friends shared stuff, but the only thing I have here is these cherries. You can get some.” Gosh, he remembered it like if it were yesterday. On those days he was overwhelmed by his hand fetish and didn't know how to react to his newfound feelings for Reimi, Kakyoin encouraged him to talk to her, to express those feelings in a healthy way. Without his help he would've ended up being consumed by his loneliness and lust, until the point he wouldn't be able to contain what he felt anymore… Everything he had now was thanks to him.
Jotaro stared at the impostor. "You are not Kakyoin!"
"Didn't you notice my body growing bigger and bigger recently?" The impostor said, his face changing like clay.
The cable car left with Jotaro and the impostor still inside. "Shit!" Yoshikage shouted as he tried and failed to reach them. “JoJo!” Anne shouted.
“「Killer Queen」” Yoshikage summoned his Stand, he had to find a way to reach Jotaro and the impostor. “Anne, call Joseph and the others. Tell them what happened.” The girl ran to a telephone booth.
Yoshikage ran on the streets trying to find a way to stop the cable car. He picked a coin from his pocket and used his Stand to throw it up. The explosion made the cable car tremble and Jotaro used the chance to jump from the cable car to a nearby building. “Phew!” Yoshikage had to practice his aim a bit more.
Jotaro then used 「Star Platinum」to launch himself to the cable car again. “Damnit” Yoshikage said, he hated being a spectator, and now he was forced to let Jotaro deal with that bastard alone. He prepared another coin-bomb to throw if necessary.
Yoshikage continued chasing the car, he hoped Jotaro was doing well, despite all the discussions they had, the journey would feel much more boring without him. “Shit” the cable car was going to cross a river, he couldn't follow them there. He picked the coin and launched it to the cable car. The explosion destroyed the car's door, and Jotaro jumped through the hole to the water below, he was attached to another man through a strange yellow substance, which Yoshikage supposed was the enemy's Stand.
Yoshikage arrived to where Jotaro and the enemy fell, they soon came back up, Jotaro used his Stand to grab the enemy.
“You had to let your Stand's guard down to breathe. Do you understand? You were talking a lot of shit back there, huh? I'm the kind of guy who takes that personally.” That man seemed to have pissed Jotaro off. “Ora!” Jotaro shouted and punched him while Star Platinum grabbed him.
Yoshikage was a bit annoyed. “Don't kill him, he might know about our next enemies” he said to Jotaro.
Jotaro sighed, “Yare yare daze.” The enemy came out of the water, “You broke my nose! And I'll probably need to have my jaw wired shut, too. DIO paid me to do this…” What a whiny bastard. Yoshikage wanted to punch him too, that little shit impersonated his best friend.
Jotaro looked at him, his expression unreadable. “Tell us about the Stand Users that are planning to attack us.” The enemy gasped. “Th-that's the only thing I can't tell you! I still have some pride.” Jotaro sighed and raised his fist. “I see… how honourable.”
“I remember now! Death, Empress, Hanged Man and Emperor are going to come after you! B-But there's an old hag who told DIO about Stands and her son is one of them. His name is J. Geil. A man with two right hands!” Yoshikage gasped, that had to be the murderer Polnareff was looking for.
The enemy continued, “His card is Hanged Man. Supposedly he uses a mirror. Polnareff will never beat him.” He grabbed the pavement, trying to leave the water. He then looked at Jotaro and Yoshikage and laughed. “I just realized, idiots. The goddess of fortune is still by my side!”
They then realized that the strange yellow liquid had come all the way to Yoshikage and the rest entered a manhole and grabbed Jotaro. Damn it, this didn't seem good.
The enemy laughed. “I guess the information I told you will follow you to the grave. Yoshikage and Jotaro!! It's almost too perfect that I was in the right place to trap you two!”
Yoshikage grabbed a third coin. Jotaro looked at him and laughed. “Yare yare daze, you haven't realized yet, but your stroke of luck is going to run out.” The enemy looked at Jotaro and Yoshikage used the chance to throw the coin at him. The explosion launched him back to the water. Yoshikage jumped into the water too, he wanted to finish this bastard off.
The enemy came out of the water and looked at them. “You aren't thinking of hitting me again, are you?” Jotaro sighed. “I have nothing else to tell you.” Jotaro then grabbed him and summoned his Stand. “Jotaro wait, you can't just leave all the fun for yourself.” Jotaro looked at their beaten enemy. “Yare yare daze, I did all the work.” “No, you didn't. I threw the bombs at the cable car, the only thing you did was jumping.”
Jotaro sighed. “Yare yare daze, he has a really big face, I can punch the right half while you punch the left one.” Yoshikage laughed, maybe Jotaro wasn't so annoying after all!
“Really Jotaro? His left half is already bloody.” Jotaro smiled. “Well, we can take turns.”
The enemy looked at them, he was crying. “Can-Can you just finish me off?”
And that's what they did.

Her name was Anne Serai, 12 years old. She was born in Hong Kong and was the eldest of three children, all of them girls. Her father was the owner of a well known forge shop, specialized in weapons, their technique came from their ancestor, the famous warrior smith Caravan Serai. Legends said that his sword was so sharp it could cut through the hardest metal without even trying hard. The people of that age gave the sword the name of the Egyptian god of death.
After her mother's death two months ago, her father gave up on ever having a male child he could name his heir. But instead of naming Anne, his oldest child, he planned to give it to a distant cousin, the only reason he gave her was because “he was a true Serai.” She didn't know what to do until she discovered that the sword of her ancestor Caravan Serai had been stolen from its museum in Egypt. The thief must keep it somewhere in that country.
She was going to find that sword. She was going to be the first member of the Serai family to wield it in more than five hundred years. If she manages to do that, her father will have to accept her as a true Serai and his heir. To reach that dream, she decided to follow these people who were also going to Egypt. They were strong, they could help her.
In her dreams, Anne whispered the sword's name.
“Anubis”

Meanwhile in Cairo, Egypt.
His name was Enrico Pucci, 16 years old. He lived in Florida but he was currently in Cairo, in the mansion of his friend DIO. Normally, he had dinner with his friend in his room, but today he decided to eat with the Egypt 9 Glory Gods, DIO's elite guard and strongest followers. They were a bizarre bunch.
Sitting around the table there were (if you counted Pucci) six men, one woman, one young kid, a falcon and a talking sword. Unfortunately for Pucci these guys weren't nearly as interesting as DIO. They were always telling stories and joking around, they never thought about Gravity, Heaven or the meaning of life.
"Listen up everyone, this one's the funniest of all!" These words came from Oingo, who was only three years older than Pucci.
"It goes like this, a guy with a gambling addiction walks into a butchers." Oingo seemed like he was going to burst out laughing at any moment.
Daniel D'Arby, the gambler of the group, stared at him.
"And so, he goes to the butcher and says I'll bet you $500 you can't get the meat down from the top shelf without a ladder"
"The butcher says I can't take that bet, the steaks are too high!! HAHAHAHA"
Oingo started laughing, his 12-year-old brother Boingo also laughed. Pucci liked Boingo, he was a nice kid, and understood his social anxiety and introvertedness, he was the same when he was young. Pucci also couldn't help but remember the past every time he saw the two brothers laughing together…
He focused on his food, the last thing he needed was to think about Domenico.
Telence, Daniel's brother, was also laughing. "Hehehe, that joke reminds me I still don't have a butcher's soul in my collection. And you brother, did you find one?"
Daniel scratched his beard, "I think not. I have a farmer's soul, does that count?"
"I don't see the point of this obsession you two have with stealing souls, you just collect them?" Pucci looked up, N'Doul was also one of the few people apart from DIO he got along with.
"You can't understand that feeling, N'Doul. Our Stands, our souls are built on the idea of collecting and keeping the souls of our defeated opponents, it gives us an overwhelming sense of…"
Daniel's rambling was interrupted by Mariah, the only female in the team. "Heh, it's weird how some Stands can be so specific. Like the ones of these two players over there, and don't forget about Alessi's…"
"Hey babe, try to show more respect. After all I am the oldest person in the room." That was true, Alessi was 34, three years older than Daniel, who was 31. The rest were either teens or in their 20s.
"Technically, I am the oldest one here." A spooky loud voice came from a spirit which resembled a humanoid canid. Anubis was a sentient Stand bound to a sword forged five hundred years ago by its first User, the famous warrior Caravan Serai.
"Hah, sorry swordog, I said I was the oldest person ."
Anubis snarled angrily, but didn't attack Alessi. They all knew that DIO didn't tolerate any infighting within his forces.
Alessi laughed, "Come on pal, don't be mad. We can all get along. Perhaps you could let me swing that sword sometime. I bet it feels great!"
Anubis snarled again. "I admit I have few standards on people who can wield me, but I'd never let my next wielder be a pedophile."
"How many times do I have to say that I'm not a pedophile!"
Mariah laughed, "Come on, don't go again with that they were adults bullcrap."
"But they were." Alessi replied. "I just turn them into children so that I can torture and kill them easier. I've never tried to fu…"
"Yeah, sure. I still think he's a pedo."
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
"Couldn't agree more."
Alessi sighed, "You guys are a bunch of jerks."
Fortunately for Pucci's mental health another one of DIO's closest servants, a man named Vanilla Ice, came down the stairs.
"Enrico Pucci, Lord DIO requires your presence. He is waiting for you in his bedroom."
Pucci got up and followed Vanilla Ice. He was starting to think he was going to go insane if he kept listening to these guys.
"Have fun you two!" Mariah shouted happily and giggled behind him. Pucci sighed, DIO and his damn custom of doing reunions in his bedroom, it's not surprising that people started misinterpreting their relationship. Pucci was DIO's only friend, and Pucci loved him as he loved God, simple as that.
Once he finally reached the door to DIO's room he could already hear his voice inside it.
"I SAID STOP STARING AT ME!!" His friend was screaming.
Pucci wondered what happened. Was DIO having a nightmare? Or maybe he was talking to his brothers again…
When DIO was human he had two siblings. One of them was never born but he still affected his life in many ways (his friend told Pucci everything about his life as he wanted to be able to fully trust each other).
Dio Brando was 10 years old when his mother died, beaten to death by her husband Dario. What nobody except Dio and Pucci knew is that she was pregnant when she died. She would let the young Dio touch her belly and sense his brother (she always affirmed that it was a boy although she couldn't know for sure) growing inside her. She had already decided a name for the baby.
Diego Brando.
How would Dio's life change had Diego survived? This is a question nobody can answer. Sometimes DIO had nightmares, in which he saw a grown up version of his brother, he never told Pucci the details.
His other sibling came through adoption, as after Dario's death when Dio was 13 he was adopted by the rich Joestar family. Jonathan Joestar, also known as JoJo, the family's young heir, became his new brother. Their relationship was rather strained.
Dio planned to take the Joestar fortune away from Jonathan. The reason for this was simple, he did not think JoJo was worthy. Dio had lived all his life on the streets, fighting, lying and betraying just for a slice of bread. Dio had to become smarter than those around him to survive. All the people he loved died because of it, first his mother, then the unborn Diego.
JoJo was completely naive, blind at the dark parts of English society. He could trust anything and would never harm anyone he considered his friend. Since the day he was born he was the heir of a massive fortune, he didn't have to do anything to gain it, it was his "by right". When Dio finally saw the stupidity and corruption behind the human race, he rose above it and used an ancient artifact to become a Vampire. Dio killed his brother Jonathan on his honeymoon. In front of JoJo's wife, he tore apart his neck and stole his body, keeping the head as a trophy.
During the time Dio spent underwater he would usually talk with Jonathan's head, it was the only thing he could do beside staring at the darkness. At first he would gloat, laughing at his brother for his defeat. Other times he would talk about the few happy moments they shared. Sometimes he would scream at his brother, saying that he should have become his ally. The cold rotten skull never replied. Sometimes Dio felt guilty and apologized for everything he did, only to eventually laugh again at his brother's defeat. This cycle would repeat itself over and over again for 94 years.
When he was finally freed from his imprisonment six years ago he had changed completely. The poor starved kid was gone. The resentful adoptive brother was destroyed.
The evil and manipulative Vampire was annihilated both physically and psychologically.
The being who came from that coffin was far beyond anything else this world had seen. He was a Messiah willing to do anything to bring forth a world of peace.
Dio Brando was gone.
And DIO emerged.
Pucci opened the door in front of him. "What's going on here?" He asked. A massive blond man turned around and stared at him. "You can't just scream like that. These followers have you on such a high esteem, we can't afford to make them think you're insane." Pucci was the only person who could speak this way to DIO without being killed.
"Oh, forgive me. Sometimes I can't control myself." Pucci knew that, the man in front of him held the future of the human conscience in his hands. That burden would shake anyone.
His friend smiled, "Well, how did the dinner go? Did my elite treat you well?" Pucci looked down. "They were nice I suppose, but they are a bit too noisy for my taste." DIO laughed, "Haha, I would not take it any other way."
"Any news on the Joestar Crisis?" Pucci asked. DIO sighed, "Rubber Soul has been defeated, that makes seven victories for the Joestars, two of them dared betray me and joined their ranks. Rubber Soul has survived, but it will take him a while to heal. He'll be ready for the upcoming ritual."
Pucci was in shock, the situation was worse than he thought, the team of Stand Users led by Jonathan's grandson Joseph was proving to be far more dangerous than they predicted.
"How are the preparations for the ritual going?"
DIO touched his head, "Everything goes according to plan. In 41 days, the dream first imagined by the Arrows' creator eight centuries ago shall become reality."
"Are you sure Hol Horse and Jude Geil will be able to defeat the Joestars?"
"I hope they do. But a part of me wants to bring Geil back, if he dies Enya would become more unstable." DIO sighed. "That old hag's advice made me rise to where I stand now. Her son's death would destroy her. But even then I know Hol Horse won't be able to defeat them alone, so there's no choice. I'll order Enya to investigate our enemies' relationships, perhaps we can make some of them return home by threatening a close person."
"Let's hope so." Pucci didn't like to hurt innocents, but sometimes there was no choice.
"How about the 36 souls? Wouldn't these Agents' deaths affect that part of the ritual?"
DIO only told Pucci a few details of the upcoming ritual so that if he gets captured his enemies would never be able to know the full plan.
DIO looked at him "Even if a few agents die before the ritual we can always pick some criminals from a nearby prison.”
Pucci thought about the people he had dinner with before. Oingo and his bad jokes, the shy and quiet Boingo, the blind and honorable N'Doul, the spunky and optimistic Mariah.
“Do they all have to die?”
DIO placed his hand on Pucci's shoulder.
“I know it's hard, but to reach Heaven we need sacrifices. The souls of those who have sinned have power. Remember that when the universe is reset, they'll be reborn too, in new happy lives.”
Pucci sighed, his friend was right as always.
“Are you sure the souls of random prisoners will work the same?”
“Almost all the criminal Stand Users have already joined my ranks, there's only one other organization made of them…”
Passione.
Passione was a mafia gang based in Italy led by a mysterious Boss known only as Diavolo. Diavolo was also the man who sold five of the Arrows to Enya, who used them to give DIO his Stand.
DIO stood up.
“I'll offer Passione an alliance, I'll ask them to send a few of their agents to aid my forces in dealing with the Joestar threat. As a reward I'll send him some of my other followers to help them take full control of Italy.” DIO gave a cold smile. “Those criminal's souls will be far better than those of random prisoners.”
Pucci sighed, it seemed that, to finally arrive in Heaven, they had to make a deal with the Devil himself...
41 DAYS LEFT
Notes:
There goes the third chapter! Yoshikage and Jotaro are now bros. We finally see some of the changes I plan to do to the story, the first being giving Anne some importance (in the show she was there just so we could see pedophile monke in all his glory), so Anne-ubis incoming!
It was really entertaining to write the 9 Glory Gods, they are all a bunch of punks.
Comments are welcome as always.

Chapter Text
December 12, 1988
Calcutta, India
When the group finally arrived in India Reimi Sugimoto had thought that the worst part of the journey was over. Nobody had attacked them for five days. Yoshikage and Jotaro finally became friends, Kakyoin tried some of the traditional food, Polnareff could go to the bathroom without problem, Avdol told them about India's customs and Joseph entertained them with the story of how he defeated an Aztec deity with the only help of his wits and a volcano. She should have known this was the calm before the storm.
After entering Calcutta, the group was surrounded by countless beggars, each one trying to take or steal their money. Some of them asked them to buy an antivenom which "wouldn't give them a stomachache". Yeah, sure.
Avdol was the only one who had been in India before, and guided them to a nearby restaurant. The waiter gave them chai, a traditional drink made by boiling black tea, sugar and ginger with milk, it was delicious.
After drinking his cup, Joseph smiled. "At last, a little peace. It's just a matter of getting used to it." Avdol nodded his head, "Once you get used to it, you'll see how wonderful this country is."
Jotaro looked at the group and said, "I like this place. It's pretty great." Yoshikage laughed, "Really Jotaro, I thought you would hate it." Reimi smiled, five days ago Yoshikage and Jotaro teamed up to defeat one of DIO's followers. Apparently beating someone to a pulp was what they needed to become friends.
Boys…
After beating their enemy, they left his body in an alley of Singapore. Initially she had thought that they had killed him, but the truth was that they left him alive, hopefully once he recovered he would abandon DIO and become a better person. "He won't, people like that never change their ways. That follower of DIO is no exception… just like Yoshikage"
Reimi raised her head to look at the spirit only she could see. The spirit looked exactly like a 16-year-old version of herself, with the only exception being her eyes, cold and cruel, void of any mercy and innocence.
Reimi could talk to the spirit with her thoughts, that helped her prevent people from thinking she was insane. "Yoshikage didn't kill that man, he hasn't killed anyone since Angelo, and that was self-defence." The spirit sighed, she looked like a mother trying to explain to her child the simplest thing ever. Reimi didn't leave the spirit any time to reply, "This Yoshikage is completely different than the previous one, the fact that I'm alive is enough proof."
The spirit revealed herself to Reimi a few years ago, words can't express the fear and confusion she felt when she saw her, it was like looking at a warped mirror. The ghost then proceeded to tell her the truth, which didn't help to ease her fears. The ghost was herself from another future.
In that world, her boyfriend Yoshikage Kira was a completely different person, he was a cold and cruel serial killer who murdered women across Morioh for fifteen years. The ghost of that world's Reimi Sugimoto, his first victim, waited for her murderer to face justice. That justice eventually came when a group of brave young men found and killed Kira, ending his murderous rampage. Sugimoto tried to use the mysterious Ghost's Alley to drag him to an eternity of pain, but that bastard had an ace up the sleeve.
In the last second, Kira used his Stand to travel to the past. He planned to help his younger self avoid his fate. What that criminal didn't know was that the ghost of Sugimoto grabbed him during his travel, and she also arrived in the past.
During the following years, the ghost tried to convince Reimi to stay away from Yoshikage, affirming that there was no way he could become a good person. She even asked her to kill him in his sleep. Reimi refused every time, it doesn't matter the kind of monster the other Kira was, the Yoshikage she knew was a good person, she was sure of it.
Reimi looked at her boyfriend, who was drinking his cup of chai. She wondered if he was talking to the other Kira in this exact moment. That bastard will pay for his crimes, she knew the things the spirit wanted to do to her murderer once she encountered him. Reimi was sure he deserved it… but Yoshikage didn't.
Reimi tried to clear her mind, there was nothing she could do at the moment. Eventually she and Yoshikage would have to reveal to each other the truth of their ghosts and their original selves. But today wasn't that day.
Polnareff sighed after drinking his cup, "Talk about culture shock. I'll like it once I get used to it, huh?" He got up off his chair, was he going to the bathroom again? Reimi had never met someone who used the toilet as much as him.
"Polnareff, what about your order?" Joseph asked. "I'll leave it to you. It better be something amazing. Gorgeous, splendid food that suits a Frenchman like me". Joseph's face was priceless. Kakyoin sighed, "That means we can pick anything." Everyone laughed.
Three minutes later, Polnareff came from the bathroom running. "Stand!!!" He screamed, everyone in the restaurant looked at him confused. Polnareff continued screaming, "Where is the User? Who is it?! The man with two right hands…" Reimi gasped, he must have found the Stand of his sister's murderer, that explained his reaction.
Polnareff ran outside, the streets were completely crowded. "There are so many people… Damn it!"
The group followed him, "What's happening Polnareff?" Polnareff continued staring at the people walking around, desperately looking for someone with two right hands. "If that… if that's the Stand, that means… That means he's finally here! Jotaro, Yoshikage, the Stand User you heard about that uses mirrors is here!" Everyone gasped. Polnareff continued, "The bastard that stepped all over my sister's life, soul and pride. I can finally… I can finally see him!"
Reimi felt like she was going to cry at any moment, she knew that Polnareff had spent the last three years travelling across the world looking for his sister Sherry's murderer. The story of Sherry's death was eerily similar to how Kira killed her in another world. Would that murderer be similar to Yoshikage? SHUT UP, she screamed in her head, the Yoshikage she knew and loved wasn't a murderer, making comparisons was useless.
Finally, Polnareff turned around and looked at the group. "Mr. Joestar, I'll be travelling on my own here." What?! Did he really think that splitting the group would help?
"Now that I know the guy who killed my sister is nearby, I won't wait for him to come after me. I'd be at a disadvantage if I let him attack me, and it's not my style. I'll find him first, and kill him!"
"Even though you don't know what he looks like, or what his Stand is?" As usual, Kakyoin tried to be the voice of reason. "Knowing that he has two right hands is plenty! And he knows I'm after him, as well. He should be worried that I'll come for his head in his sleep. See ya."
Avdol looked serious, "You'll go out for wool, only to come home shorn." "Are you implying I'll lose?!" Thank God, he was finally understanding the situation. "Can't you see that the enemy purposely attacked to get you alone?"
Polnareff grabbed Avdol, "I'll make this clear, I never cared about DIO. I told you in Hong Kong that I was only travelling with you so I could get my revenge. You should already know this. I've been alone from the start. Always fighting alone…"
"Did you forget that you were brainwashed by DIO?!" Polnareff and Avdol started screaming at each other, it was sad, they have always been close. Polnareff called him a coward for running away from DIO years ago, forcing Joseph to grab Avdol. "That's enough, let him go. Now that he's like this, no one can stop him."
Polnareff then left, walking through the crowded streets until they couldn't see him anymore.
The next day, Joseph wanted them to go to their next destination. "Are we really gonna leave Polnareff alone?!" Joseph sighed, "Reimi, there's nothing we can do. He knows our route so he can find us if he wants to."
The group were crossing a street when they heard loud laughs, someone must have said a really good joke. She thought she had heard that laugh before… "Polnareff!" Avdol ran away. "Avdol, stop!" Joseph shouted, but it was too late. Now they had no choice but to find Avdol and Polnareff.
There were three streets, Kakyoin and Reimi followed one, Yoshikage followed another and Joseph and Jotaro followed the third. "Hey, there's a weird fight over there." A local citizen said, it had to be there.
Once they reached the street they found Polnareff and Avdol. Suddenly, a bullet came from the sky and hit Avdol in the forehead. "Wh-What?!"
They ran to their friend's body, which was now laying on the ground. Kakyoin held Avdol's body "It-it's just a minor wound. He'll open his eyes at any moment." Thank God, he was still alive.
Polnareff spat on the ground and turned around, “That's what he gets for lecturing people. Look at him now.” What the hell? Their friend almost died and he is still angry at him? Kakyoin didn't believe what he heard, “What are you saying Polnareff? Avdol was worried about you.” Polnareff still didn't turn around, “Who asked him for help? He likes to meddle in other people's business, but he's slow as hell, so they got him.” That's it, Reimi wanted to punch that jerk on the face. The only reason this happened was because he behaved like an idiot the entire time.”You bastard… He saved your life, how dare you…” That was when they realised he was crying. “It just pisses me off, having people up and die on me. It just pisses me off.” But Avdol wasn't dead yet, they needed to take him to the hospital immediately, this wasn't time for an early funeral.
Next to them, a man dressed as a cowboy laughed, “Hehe, he's got such a strong face, and yet he died in an instant. Well, the end of the line is usually a pretty sudden curtain call. It's probably normal to die without being able to say goodbye.” That was good, he believed Avdol was dead too. But still, he almost killed their friend and he's just standing there, making fun of them. Reimi shouted, “You rotten piece of shit!” The cowboy laughed again, “Heh, sorry babe, that's my job you know. It may seem like I'm talking as though I know everything, but…”
Polnareff started walking towards their enemy. “Polnareff! Please, don't let him get to you! Do you still not understand? Avdol told you not to fight by yourself! And you ignored that… You wanted to get revenge, even if it meant dying with your enemy. Avdol chased after you because that worried him, and this is the result of that! We need to fall back for now.”
Polnareff continued staring at the cowboy, who was still making fun of them. “Avdol was cruelly stabbed in the back. My sister was killed without resistance. You want me to hold these regrets inside and run away?!”
The cowboy continued making weird gestures, it would be kinda funny if the situation wasn't so tense, “Hey! Come on, li'l Pol Pol.”
Kakyoin tried to calm him down, "Listen Polnareff! Slowly come back towards me. We're going to use that truck to get out of here."
Hol Horse prepared his gun to stop Polnareff before he could get on the truck with Kakyoin and Reimi. Suddenly, an explosion was heard, stunning Hol Horse and allowing Polnareff to reach the truck. A familiar voice sounded behind them. "Get out of here, I'll take care of this cowboy wannabe in a moment."
Reimi turned around and saw Yoshikage, who had finally found them. Their enemy laughed, "I was wondering when you would show up, Kira."
Kakyoin stepped on the gas, quickly leaving Yoshikage and the cowboy behind. "Are we really going to leave him alone?!"
Kakyoin looked at Reimi, "He can take care of himself. Also this will help split our enemies' forces, one of them will be stuck with Yoshikage while the other is most likely following us."
Polnareff cursed loudly, his eyes were still red from the tears. "Forgive me, I thought I didn't care if I died, so long as I could avenge my sister. But I understand now… I understand how Avdol felt. I won't let his feelings go to waste. I'll fight to keep living. Now I understand." Kakyoin elbowed him in the face while driving the car. "Take this as proof we've made up." God damn it, she should be helping Yoshikage fight the cowboy instead of dealing with this.
Polnareff thanked Kakyoin while futilely trying to stop his nose from bleeding.
A few minutes later, when they were far from the city, Polnareff started explaining his encounter with the Stand of his sister's murderer. "When I broke the glass, I was sure I stabbed him with the sword, but my strike didn't land. Even after breaking the glass, the Stand can still attack my reflection from the shards."
Kakyoin didn't believe in the existence of any world behind mirrors, but Reimi was more open minded, she knew that Stands could do basically anything. Creating a world from mirrors wasn't that weird, Yoshikage could turn anything into a bomb and Reimi could communicate with any living creature, even with plants.
Her power made it almost impossible for her to eat food in her childhood, for a while she couldn't look at her plate without thinking of what the animals or vegetables were thinking about before their deaths, the lives they had, if they made friends. Her parents (who didn't know what Stands were) thought of taking her to a psychiatrist, as she was getting horribly skinny.
Eventually her body couldn't take it anymore and started eating all the food she could find, a part of her felt like a murderer, but she couldn't control it. Eating was a part of any human being, if she stopped eating she would die.
She wondered if that was what Kira felt when killing people. The original Kira, not her boyfriend. The Yoshikage she knew wasn't a murderer, she had to focus on that. He wasn't a murderer. The other Kira was the true villain. Her Yoshikage wasn't a murderer. He wasn't.
Kakyoin turned around and looked at the back of the truck, "He's inside the platting on the steering wheel! He's caught up to us!"
Reimi could also see it, a tall and mumified being staring at them from the glass.
It happened in an instant, suddenly the glass exploded, Kakyoin hit the brakes and the truck rolled over, falling upside down nearby.
Reimi struggled to leave the destroyed vehicle, fortunately she didn't have any serious wounds. "Are you guys fine?" she asked. "I've hit my chest, but I'm okay." Polnareff stared at one of the truck's mirrors, that goddamn Stand was there.
"Kakyoin, Reimi, stay away from anything that's reflective!" Yeah, that seemed like a good idea. The three of them jumped to hide behind a big rock, there was nowhere their enemy could attack them from. Even then, Polnareff smiled, "I got him, I just saw it. He's going from mirror to mirror! He moves by jumping from one reflective surface to another. That means he's actually light!"
A young kid approached them, "Hey, are you guys okay? Want me to bring some medicine or something?" "Hey kid! Get out of here, this is dangerous!"
The kid looked at them confused, he most likely didn't know about Stands. "Your car is really messed up! You are bleeding! Are you okay?" Then they saw him, that bastard reflected into that kid's eye!
They tried to tell the kid to go away to no avail. He must be thinking they are insane. Damn it, they couldn't hurt an innocent kid like that. What a piece of shit, she hated when people used children as tools to hurt other people.
Polnareff started laughing, "Heh, now it's not time for moaning. In situations like this you've got to say more things before getting your revenge."
"My name is Jean Pierre Polnareff. For my sister's honor, and so that my friend Avdol can rest in peace, I'll hurl you into the depths of despair, J. Geil! Forgive me kid, I'll buy you a caramel later." Polnareff threw sand into the kid's eyes, making him close them. A glimmer of light was launched from one of his eyes, and was slashed by Polnareff's Silver Chariot. Hah, now they got him at last. "As long as I can read his trajectory, he'll be easy to cut with my sword!"
A horrifying scream could be heard from afar, "His real body is over there!" They ran towards the voice as fast as they could. Finally they found him.
Inside a nearby market there was man bleeding, that must be J. Geil. After seeing him, Polnareff repeated his speech, "My name is Jean Pierre Polnareff, and I've seen through your Stand's secret. It's a Stand of light that moves at an incredible speed. There is no way I can catch it. But if I know where it's going to go, and I slash its trayectory in that moment, I can slash you too!" Polnareff seemed to love dramatic speeches. The man in front of them showed his left hand, that meant…
"Polnareff! This man is not J. Geil!" In that instant a knife was thrown and hit deeply in Polnareff's back. Reimi took the knife away and looked around, that bastard must be close.
A raspy and smug voice was heard, "Over here, you fools!"
There he was, he had to be the ugliest man Reimi had seen, both physically and psychologically. From his weirdly shaped bald head, his missing teeth, and his scars, to his two abnormal right hands, the man in front of them was an absolute monster.
"I am J. Geil. That dude over there was just a drifter that happened to be close. I used a knife to give him the same wound I would have, you totally fell for it, hahahaha. You approached him without even knowing how I looked like. A big mistake, hahaha" That piece of shit, Kakyoin summoned his 「Hierophant Green」 and Reimi summoned her 「Delilah」. There had to be animals she could convince to attack that bastard, hopefully a big poisonous snake…
Geil started shouting, "Hey folks! Gather 'round! These folks are giving free money!"
In an instant they were surrounded by countless beggars, the glimpse of light began jumping from eye to eye attacking them from everywhere. J. Geil watched them laughing. "Polnareff, you sacrificed your youth to hunt me down, and it's going to die with the deaths of you and your friends! Ain't that pathetic?"
That bastard pointed at Reimi, the only one who wasn't being attacked, "Well, perhaps I can spare your life, babe, if you beg me. We can do so much stuff together, hehehhehe" He was even salivating.
Reimi was so done with this creep "The hell I'm going to beg to a dungheaded cockroach like you!"
Geil spat on the ground, visibly disgusted, "You cunt! Has nobody taught you some manners?! I hate bitches with tongues like yours, Sherry had a wonderful tongue… Hey Polnareff! Did I ever tell you the things I made her do with her tongue? Or was she already dead by then? I am not sure… Heh, I remember when I first saw her three years ago. So young, so innocent!"
"Why… You goddamn..."
Kakyoin smiled, "Polnareff, that's not what you say here. When you take revenge you shouldn't say Why you. You say this."
"My name is Noriaki Kakyoin, to avenge my friend Avdol, and so that the soul of my friend Polnareff's sister may rest in peace, you'll pay with your life!" Kakyoin picked a coin from his pocket and showed it to everyone. Reimi instantly understood his plan, she shouted, "Listen everyone, the lucky fellow who picks this golden coin may keep it! So shiny, so valuable!"
Kakyoin threw up the coin, suddenly all the faces pointed at the same direction. Polnareff laughed, "Merci, mes amis!" he then threw sand at the eyes of the man in front of him, forcing Hanged Man to try to reach the nearest reflective surface… the coin. On the way Silver Chariot appeared and repeatedly slashed the light. J. Geil screamed as horrible wounds appeared all over his face and body. The bastard tried to run away, but it didn't matter, it was over.
They found him trying to open the gates, which were closed, he had nowhere to run. Polnareff stared at the man he spent the last three years looking for. "Heh, looks like you are going to hell, sobbing all the way down. But there's something I can't rely on the devil to do for me. And that's to turn you into a pincushion!!"
Silver Chariot torn the murderer apart, stabbing him in every inch of his body, after which the corpse fell down, hung from the gate. What a fitting end for the Hanged Man.
She hoped that Yoshikage managed to defeat that cowboy too. Polnareff looked at the sky and smiled.
"Finally, after three long years…"
"I've got my revenge!"

Yoshikage was pissed, he was shocked and saddened, but mostly pissed. Avdol was still alive, but he had to take him to the hospital immediately. "You bastard!" The man in front of him, Hol Horse, smiled. "Heh, so you're Yoshikage. I have wanted to meet ya for a while. Your father always talked about you. I've heard he died a year ago, my condolences." Yoshikage didn't try to correct his enemy. Nobody in the group knew of Yoshikage's connection to DIO, and he preferred it to stay that way.
Hol Horse continued talking, "Everything is going according to plan, J. Geil will kill those fools while I take care of you. It seems that this is my lucky day!"
Yoshikage laughed, "Don't get cocky, you bastards are still going to lose." He summoned 「 Killer Queen」and prepared for battle.
Hol Horse smiled, "Heh, brave words Yoshikage, but the end will be the same. My Stand can shoot and yours can only explode stuff next to it, am I right?" Damn it, he had a point. He could of course pick a coin or something and throw it at his enemy but by that time Yoshikage's head would already be full of holes made by Emperor's bullets.
Hol Horse wasted no time and shot Yoshikage. He used Killer Queen to desperately try to touch the bullet and make it explode before it could hit him, he managed to do it at the last second.
Hol Horse laughed again, "Really good! You have some quick hands, your girlfriend must be really happy." He gave a cold smirk, "She must be dead by now sadly. Or maybe Geil wants to keep her alive to play later, who knows?"
Yoshikage prepared to attack his enemy, but Hol Horse was faster and shot another two bullets, forcing him to give his all to destroy them in time.
Hol Horse laughed, gave a thumbs up and shot again, and again, and again, and again. "Come on Yoshi-kun, you can do it!" He said while laughing and shot yet another bullet.
By that time Yoshikage was getting tired and he became slower, so the explosion of the last bullet launched him backwards.
"Heh heh, that must be a record!" Hol Horse started walking towards the fallen Yoshikage, ready to finish him off. Damn it, there had to be a way to increase Killer Queen's range.
"And there is one." Said a voice next to him. The spirit of another Kira stared at him from above. Yoshikage knew what he meant, some Stands could increase their powers and abilities when their Users were in dangerous situations and when an emotion completely filled them. That was why Jotaro's Star Platinum was faster and stronger the angrier he got and why Joseph's Hermit Purple made better pictures the more focused he was.
But which emotion would make Killer Queen evolve? The ghost smirked, "You know it already, it's the emotion that filled me in my last days, the emotion that gave me the power to travel through time."
Determination. The determination to maintain his happy life. The determination to eliminate anything who threatened it. It wasn't anger or bloodlust, it was far more simple.
They made his life worse, so he made them disappear. In the ghost's opinion, it shouldn't be considered a crime, he said it was just how to live a quiet life.
Yoshikage didn't agree with him, but he also felt that feeling. He felt it five years ago, when he shot a murderer who wanted to kill him and his friends. It was self-defence, but the feeling was there, Angelo threatened his quiet life, so he killed him.
Yoshikage breathed deeply and got up. Hol Horse smiled, "What, you have any last words?"
Yoshikage stared at his enemy and started speaking.
"My name is Yoshikage Kira, 22 years old. I live in the northeast section of Morioh, in Japan, and I have a girlfriend. I recently graduated from University with a literature degree and I plan to get a job once me and my allies kill that heartless cockroach you serve. Even though I had thought that I could live my life alone I came to realize that it wouldn't be the same without the people who I consider my friends."
Hol Horse stared at him, unable to move. "Wh-What the hell are you saying?!"
"I am trying to explain to you how I live my life, a quiet life which is being constantly threatened by bastards like you. I simply cannot let that happen. I'll do anything in my power to eradicate anyone and anything who hurts those who help me make my life happy and fulfilling."
"Allow me to show you Killer Queen's Second Bomb"
「 Sheer Heart Attack」
Suddenly the belly of Killer Queen opened like a door, freeing a small spherical tank with a skull embedded on its front.
SHA started approaching Hol Horse.
He summoned his Stand and started shooting it. The bullets started breaking SHA's cover, but it didn't stop moving.
"What the hell is that thing?! The information I was given didn't mention this!"
Yoshikage felt an incredible pain in his right hand, it looked like SHA was going to break down soon. Giving his all, SHA accelerated and exploded in front of Hol Horse. Fortunately for the cowboy he managed to jump back at the right moment, so the explosion launched him back instead of killing him.
"Wh-What the actual… what the…?" Yoshikage stood up and walked towards his enemy, who was getting up. "Consider this mercy, run away now or else you'll see how many of these bombs I can summon at once." It was a complete bluff of course, that small SHA took away most of his energy, and it was destroyed rather easily.
Hol Horse got up and stared at him, his expression unreadable. He grabbed his gun, pointed it at Yoshikage… and ran away as fast as he could.
Thank God. Now he could finally take Avdol to the hospital so he could recover.
Next to him a voice sighed, "Are you serious? This is your Sheer Heart Attack? The ones I summoned were completely unbreakable and could explode countless times. They had absolutely no weakness!"
Yoshikage didn't listen to the ghost's rambling, he turned around and grabbed Avdol's unconscious body, he was really heavy. Where the hell were Joseph and Jotaro for that matter?
Muttering some insults, Yoshikage started walking towards a nearby hospital he saw on the street.
Muhammad Avdol

Incapacitated due to severe back and mild craneal wounds
Requires at least two weeks of hospitalization
After taking him to the hospital the group decided to hide Avdol's survival from Polnareff so that he could recover in peace

Meanwhile in Naples, Italy
Lucius Pavarotti was a Stand User with the ability of generating sounds capable of disrupting radio signals and breaking glass. He was one of the few members of the Italian Mafia who considered the newly formed Passione a threat. Nobody around him listened, they all knew Passione as a charity organization, which usually allied with the Police in order to bring down insignificant criminal groups. They were just a small pain in the ass.
Ostracized by his peers, Lucius decided to destroy Passione by himself. The Boss could not let that happen, he had to deal with this enemy himself.
The time in which Lucius attacked him was erased, after which he was shot in the head. To those who saw the body it would seem as he committed suicide. It made sense, he was obsessed with getting attention, he even called Passione, an organization of less than fifty members, the biggest threat the Mafia had faced, and when nobody payed attention to his stupid ideas, he decided that nothing else was worth it.
Two years have passed since the Boss broke free of the chains of his past and started his organization, and everything was going according to plan. He gave his Arrow to one of his most trusted followers, a young man named Polpo, and told him to use it to give their new Agents special powers, only a handful of them survived.
The biggest problem the Boss currently faced also came from two years ago. He looked again at the letter he wrote shortly before killing Lucius. It was a reply to another letter sent to him from the leader of a cult in Egypt. He was allied with the person the Boss sold the rest of the Arrows.
That man, who was known as DIO, seemingly knew of Passione's true purpose. He also knew that the Boss sold him the Arrows. He also knew that he was building an army of Stand Users. That was enough to make him feel terrified, but the worst part came at the end of the letter.
It referred to him as "Diavolo". The mere thought made him want to vomit. DIO knew his true name. How was this possible?! The Boss did everything humanly possible to hide his identity, he never told anyone anything about him. It didn't make sense, it didn't make sense, it didn't make sense, itdidntmakesenseitdidntmakesenseitdidntmakesense. Another question was if DIO told his name to his followers. Damn it, damn it, damn it.
The Boss had no choice. In the letter he wrote his answer to DIO's demand. The only person the Boss could trust to send the letter was Polpo. Shortly after starting Passione the Boss' Arrow guided him to a dark alley where a starved man had stabbed a fellow homeless person for a slice of bread he found. The Arrow gave the thief a Stand, and then he swore loyalty to him. It was the first and last time a member of Passione saw the Boss in person. Polpo became Passione's first Capo and was the only person apart from the Boss who knew of the organization's true purpose. He never tried to investigate the Boss' life, he didn't care enough, as long as he had food, drink and shelter Polpo would obey him without question.
After erasing time once more the Boss left Lucius' home. He knew that someone like him, tall, strong and proud would get unwanted attention, but he had a fail-safe for those types of situations.
As a young boy, the Boss was happy and innocent, a normal kid. Nobody would suspect such a typical boy. Even today, a part of that kid was still alive within him, he felt that innocence in the back of his head, like a caged bird. It was time to set it free…
The Boss closed his eyes and allowed the innocence that once characterized him to flow through him freely once more. He slowly opened the walls he built so many years ago in order to survive his past. Gods, it felt great. He felt like he was going asleep, like nothing could harm him now.
Vinegar Doppio opened his eyes and looked around confused. "Wh-Where am I?" He didn't understand how he ended there. He felt like his head was going to explode. Doppio was confused, but not surprised. It wasn't the first time he was in a similar situation. His continuous headaches and memory lapses caused him many problems in his life.
It was incredible a person as strong and powerful as The Boss would accept someone like Doppio as his follower.
"tururururururururu!"
What? He swore he heard a phone ringing around him.
"turururururururururu!!"
Again! Doppio looked around looking for the phone. It had to be close.
Finally, Doppio saw a phone booth on the other side of the road, the ringing must have come from it. It was weird how he could hear the sound from so far away but he didn't question it. He just ran and picked the phone.
"Boss, I'm so sorry you had to wait. I-I must have lost my phone somewhere. I promise it won't happen again Boss"
A calm voice spoke to him, "No need to worry my Doppio, we have enough phones. I suppose you are wondering how you ended up in this location."
Doppio was once again stunned at the Boss' ability of knowing exactly what he thought and felt.
"You are in Naples, I sent you there to pick a letter I wrote. You must have in your pocket. In any circumstance, do not open it. You must give that letter to Polpo, who will ensure it's sent to the addressee."
Doppio looked at his pocket and there it was, a white envelope. Doppio didn't try to open it, he knew what happened to those who disobeyed the Boss.
After bidding farewell and hanging out Doppio looked around once again. He placed the letter back in his pocket. He breathed deeply and went to complete his mission.

Chapter Text
In a future that never happened
July 16, 1999
Morioh, Japan
Kira stood alone in an alley, the only sound he could hear were the chirping of the birds and the wind blowing. He touched his face and looked at his clothes. He was perfectly cleaned, all the wounds disappeared. He smiled happily, he won.
“I was able to return! It went into effect. I was able to have Bites the Dust take effect again!” He won. Happiness filled him, he even fell to his knees laughing. He didn't care if anyone saw him, it didn't matter anymore. He won. He finally won. He was free. He could now continue with his quiet life. The bastards who chased him were now gone. He won. He won. They finally left him alone...
Suddenly, a bird flew into him and passed through him as if he didn't exist. “Wh-What just happened?” Kira walked around this bizarre alley. “Come to think of it, this isn't the way I usually take to work. But if Bites the Dust did turn back time one hour, I should be on my way to work now.” He took his watch from his pocket, and was shocked to see that it was broken. Something was wrong. Something was terribly wrong.
Right behind him, a girl's voice could be heard. “So you haven't realized it yet?” Slowly, Kira turned around and looked at a pink-haired girl who stared at him coldly. Next to her stood a dog, whose throat was broken and bleeding. Who could that girl be? The answer came to him easily, but it didn't make sense. Reimi Sugimoto was dead, he killed her fifteen years ago.
“So the Kosaku Kawajiri that Rohan took a picture of was Yoshikage Kira. And it's finally over, isn't it?” It didn't make sense. She was dead. This didn't make any sense. “They finally cornered you, Yoshikage Kira.” Desperate to find an explanation, Kira pointed at the girl. “Who are you?”
The girl smirked, “You don't remember me? Well, I guess that's no surprise. It happened fifteen years ago after all.” No, no, no no no. She was dead. He killed her. He killed her family. She was dead. She was the one who started all of this. The girl, Reimi Sugimoto, continued staring at him. “You still haven't realized it? You are dead Kira.” Sugimoto then touched him, but her hand passed through him. No, no, no. Finally, the memories came back to him, that Kujo bastard, the nurse girl, the ambulance… He was dead. He lost. He, Yoshikage Kira, had lost. This couldn't be happening.
"Reimi Sugimoto… That's your name, isn't it?"
The one who started everything. She was the first person he ever killed. He remembered it well. It was all her fault. He remembered the day he first talked to her, when they were both in school. At that time he had already discovered his obsession with hands, and regularly he looked at the Mona Lisa to see the prettiest hands in the world. Reimi Sugimoto… The time he saw her for the first time was the moment he realised there were hands as beautiful as the Mona Lisa's in the real world. He knew she would never want to talk to him, and that was okay. He was fine with just staring at her hands from afar, making sure no one noticed.
But that didn't happen, for some reason she went out of her way to talk to him, it was almost as she wanted to be his friend. But that didn't make sense, no one would ever want to be his friend, he knew everyone considered him boring, he never talked to anyone, he never played any games other teenagers considered to be entertaining, he never did anything special, it was clear no one would ever want to be the friend of a person like him, especially someone like her.
But then why did Reimi Sugimoto try to talk to him every time she could? It didn't make sense, people like her would never hang out with someone like Kira. He didn't understand.
It had to be a bet of some kind, he heard about it before. One of her friends must have made a bet that if Reimi could make the boring Kira do something weird they would give her money or something. He hated it but it was the only way this made sense. There was nothing about him that would interest someone. Damn it, why did all the beautiful women need to have such ugly hearts? When he saw her from afar he thought that Reimi was different, but it was obvious now that she wasn't. This madness continued for three years, in which he was forced to watch her hands so close while knowing that he shouldn't touch them. Until one day he just couldn't take it anymore. It was all her goddamn fault. His nails grew inhumanly long, unbearable anxiety filled him. Countless feelings he couldn't control. In the middle of the night, he entered her home and killed everyone there. Her father, her mother, her dog, and then her. It was all her goddamn fault. Did she think he wouldn't see that she was playing with his feelings? Did she think he was an idiot? He knew from the beginning that it was the only way someone like her would talk to him. It was all her goddamn fault. You can't show food to a starving cat and then be surprised when it tries to eat. It was all her goddamn fault. When he finally killed her he finally felt complete. Why was a girl with such beautiful hands next to someone like Kira? Why was she letting him touch and kiss her hands without saying anything?
Because she was dead. It all made sense to Kira, and his mind felt at peace. For the next fifteen years, he killed another forty-seven women and took away their hands, it was all him trying to bring back that feeling of ecstasy and inner peace he felt that night in the Sugimoto household. She started all of this. It was all her goddamn fault.
“You are dead. What the hell are you doing here?” She smiled, “Ain't that obvious? I've waited fifteen long years to see Morioh being freed of your madness. Behind you lies your doom.”
Instinctively, Kira turned around and saw a mass of darkness with countless rotten hands, all of them coming right at him. No, he was so stupid. His father told him about this. The alley where you mustn't turn around. It was all Reimi's fault, she filled his mind with confusion and he couldn't think properly. But he had an ace up his sleeve. He was going to use Bites the Dust one more time. He didn't have a host and he was a ghost, but he had to try it. He was going to fix all of this. From the very beginning.
The hands came closer, he had to do it quickly. Reimi laughed, “It seems that your punishment is at hand, Kira.” Kira gave her his warmest smile, he realized that he now had his original face instead of Kosaku's. “No, I don't think so. I'd rather say that my luck is at last coming back.”
「Killer Queen's Third Bomb: Bites The Dust 」
The hands disappeared and Kira saw himself being covered by Bites the Dust. He did it. It was working. Luck is siding with Yoshikage Kira once again! He was so happy and overjoyed that he couldn't see the lone spirit trying to grab him during his trip to the past. Kira laughed, he was going to rebuild his life from the very beginning, he was going to live the quiet life he always dreamed of. A life where he could stand alone.

A brave new world
February 22, 1977
Kira stood alone in a street in Morioh, next to the house he used to live in. He looked around, trying to make sure this wasn't yet another trap, and when he was satisfied he felt overwhelming joy at the thought of that the threat was over. Weeks of sadness and desperation, in which he lost his identity and his home. Weeks of anxiety, in which he was forced to impersonate Kosaku Kawajiri, trying to keep his urges under control, doing his best to blend in with the Kawajiri household. Weeks of anger and rage, in which he faced countless enemies from all fronts, Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, Koichi Hirose and the child of Kosaku, Hayato Kawajiri.
All those weeks of pain, anger and anxiety were now over.
"I did it! It worked!" Once again, Yoshikage Kira laughed victorious. He had won. Sadly, he was still dead, but as a ghost living a quiet life would be far easier.
Kira's thoughts went to the girl that waited fifteen years to see her murderer face justice, it was all for nothing. "I am sorry Reimi, but your vengeance will have to wait."
He wondered how much did he travel back in time. Usually Bites the Dust only rewinded an hour, but as he used all of his strength, and as he didn't use any host, the effects might be completely different. Due to the differences between the street in front of him and the one in his time he decided that approximately he landed in the late 70s.
At that moment, a short blond boy of around 11 years old walked alone and approached a house next to Kira. As a ghost, he was invisible to everyone except when he didn't want to. The boy rang the doorbell and entered his house, Kira's house.
That boy… that boy must be Kira himself, two decades younger. Instinctively, Kira followed the boy into his house. Inside, he saw how his mother Miyako scolded his son just because he wanted to hang out with some of his classmates, his father Yoshihiro, unwilling to argue with his wife, didn't say anything and focused on the book he was reading.
Even when surrounded by his family Kira stood alone.
A few meters away from the Kira household, a lone spirit watched the scene. Reimi Sugimoto couldn't believe that Kira had managed to escape justice once again. How could this be happening? There was nothing she could do now but wait till she found a chance again. On the other side of the road, a family was walking, they were carrying shopping bags so Sugimoto believed that they were going back home after buying something, but that wasn't what shocked her. It was a family of three, a father, a mother… and a young daughter with pink hair. It was herself but younger. Sugimoto was almost crying. She was going to make sure that girl didn't suffer her fate. She was going to make sure Yoshikage Kira paid for what he'd done. No matter how much time it took, Kira would face justice.
No matter what.

Eleven years later
December 17, 1988
Multan, Pakistan
Kira stood alone in a hallway of an eerie hotel in Pakistan. His younger self and his allies were resting in their rooms. He looked at one of the windows, there was so much fog outside that it worked better as a mirror than as a window. Gosh, he looked horrible. Ghosts weren't able to age but no one would ever guess that when looking at him. His face looked paler and had a few wrinkles. His hair was longer and unkempt. His clothing was getting old and their color was starting to fade. Kira sighed, as a ghost there was not much point in caring for his appearance as almost no one could ever see him. But still, he looked like an old man despite being supposed to look the same age as when he died, thirty-three years old to be exact.
These last eleven years hadn't been nice to him, and that was weird, considering he succeeded in all his plans. After meeting with his younger self, Kira helped him live his life and prevented him from committing the same mistakes that caused his death. And it worked perfectly. Unlike the original Kira, Yoshikage had close friends, he never fell to his instincts, he only killed one person, and that was only in self defense.
Unlike the original Kira, Yoshikage had help in dealing with his feelings towards Reimi and now she was his girlfriend. Kira should be happy, shouldn't he? He won, he gave his young self a happy and pleasant life. Kira should be overjoyed, then why was he so depressed? He took a cup of wine and drank from it, thankfully many cups and bottles of wine and beer were broken in many places, physically they were destroyed but ghosts could see things in other ways. These broken objects were now ghosts too and spirits like Kira could drink from them as if they'd never been broken. Kira was thankful for that.
He continued staring at his ugly reflection, why was he depressed? He won, he said that to himself countless times, but why did he feel like he lost everything? This feeling has been growing inside of him for a long while, ever since that boy, Kakyoin, convinced Yoshikage to talk to Reimi about his feelings. Kira never had someone like that, a friend who accompanied him and helped him see things in a different way. Was that what Kira always needed in his young years, someone to talk to? He remembered how one time, when he was thirteen years old, his father was thinking of taking Kira to a psychologist due to his abnormal behaviour, his mother refused, screaming that no one would ever take her only child to a shrink. Back then, Kira was happy to hear that but now he thought that maybe that was the best idea his father ever had.
Also important were the underlying implications of his younger self's success. Thanks to Kakyoin's encouragement, Yoshikage's relationship with Reimi grew and now they were dating. This implied that in his timeline she liked Kira from the start, which meant that she wasn't playing with his feelings as he thought, which meant that he killed her, that he killed all these people for no reas… STOP! He screamed in his head, he couldn't let himself follow that line of thinking again, his mind couldn't handle the weight of all the corpses he left in his life. He had to convince himself that he had no choice.
It was all her goddamn fault. He couldn't control his instincts. He just wanted a quiet life. She made me do this. He couldn't stop his instincts just like he couldn't stop his nails from growing. He just wanted a quiet life. It was all her goddamn fault. He just wanted a quiet life. It was all her goddamn fault. He repeated the excuses time and time again but that feeling of guilt didn't abandon him completely. He finished drinking his cup of wine and continued walking around the hotel. He realized he became exactly like the haunting ghosts in stories, wandering aimlessly in an old building and always thinking about their past deeds and their missed chances. He would laugh if it wasn't so pathetic.
Walking aimlessly he entered a room of the hotel, it was empty. He wondered what his younger self was doing at the moment. He deserved a rest, this journey to Egypt had lasted for almost three weeks of non-stop fighting enemy Stand Users. Maybe he was sleeping in his room. Maybe he was talking to some of his allies, Jotaro, Joseph, Kakyoin, Polnareff, Reimi. Kira remembered his battles against Jotaro in his timeline, now he was one of Yoshikage's closest friends, along with Kakyoin and Reimi.
"Are you looking for something?" A familiar voice came from behind Kira. It was Reimi's voice but it didn't make sense, she couldn't see him. Perhaps it was just his imagination.
"I am right here, Kira." Slowly, he turned around and saw Reimi staring at him. Was he having hallucinations? This didn't make sense, she couldn't see him. The girl smiled, "Heh, you look like you just saw a ghost… and that would be correct. I'm dead just like you, Yoshikage. Missed me?"
Kira was speechless, this didn't make sense. She couldn't have followed him here, he must be having hallucinations. Sugimoto continued smiling "Do you understand? When you used Bites the Dust I've managed to grab you and follow you here. You were so obsessed with getting away from the Alley that you didn't notice. You can't escape justice, no matter how hard you try."
He couldn't say anything, the shock was too much. Eventually he managed to regain his composure and talk. "Wh-What have you been doing these past years?"
Sugimoto laughed and sat on a sofa in the room, although she was just one year younger than Kira she looked the same age she had when she died, sixteen years old. It was all her goddamn fault. "I've been doing the same thing as you. Helping my younger self live the happy life I couldn't get. And before you ask… yes, I've told her everything you did to me."
No, Kira was speechless. Sugimoto told her younger self everything. That meant Reimi knew that Kira killed her in the original timeline. Why would she become Yoshikage's girlfriend then?
Sugimoto sighed, "I've told her to stay away from your younger self but she didn't listen. I've forgotten how headstrong I can be sometimes. She said that unlike you, Yoshikage never killed any innocents, so he shouldn't suffer the same fate as you. I've told her of all the things you've done but she doesn't listen, she continues to believe in him."
She continues to believe in him… . Don't think about the implications Kira. Don't think about the implications. It was all her goddamn fault. It was all her goddamn fault. Don't let her words get you. It was all her goddamn fault…
Trying to dissimulate Kira looked at the window and asked Sugimoto, "Mmm… why did you reveal yourself now? This is not like the Ghost Alley, you can't do anything to me."
"Perhaps I just wanted to see how much you've changed in these eleven years, it seems like you forgot to clean yourself." So she also noticed that, Kira felt his long unkempt hair touching his neck, he should cut it later. He turned around to look at Sugimoto, "Yeah, it's been a long time."
She stared at him, her expression unreadable. "Kira… There's something I thought you wanted to know." Huh, what does she mean?
"I thought you'd be interested in knowing why I ever thought of talking to you in the first place, so many years ago." No, this was the last thing he needed to know right now. It was all her goddamn fault. It was all her goddamn fault.
Without giving him time to answer, she continued. "Ever since I was a child I've hated being alone. I couldn't control it, when I was left alone or with people I didn't know I started sweating and shaking. My Stand Delilah likely came from that, the ability to communicate with any living being, it helped me to never feel alone. I don't know what I would have done without it."
"What the hell does this have to do with anything?!" Kira was starting to feel stressed again. It was all her fault.
Reimi laughed, "Come on Kira, could you at least try to watch your mouth? Well, when I grew older that fear of loneliness still existed, even with Delilah. That's why I started taking care of children and got my dog Arnold."
Kira remembered slashing that dog's throat with a knife. He then hung its corpse on the clothes hook on the wall. He had no other option, the dog was making too much noise, he couldn't risk waking up either Reimi or her parents. It was all her goddamn fault.
Sugimoto continued her story, "At school I've always seen you alone, doing your homework or reading without anyone near, never playing or talking with anyone. At first I felt bad for you, I thought you were being left out, or bullied or something like that. But I soon discovered that I was wrong, you were alone because you wanted it that way." She smirked. "I didn't understand how someone could enjoy being alone. I was a bit jealous, not gonna lie. That's it Kira, the reason I first wanted to talk to you, to be your friend, was because I was shocked and impressed by you, because I was curious about how you dealt with loneliness." She sighed, "Well, guess we could say that curiosity killed the cat."
Kira didn't know what to say, if what she was saying was true, then all of the excuses he made in his mind to justify his actions were wrong. It was all her goddamn fault… except it wasn't. She never wanted to hurt him or to play with his feelings. She made me do this… except she didn't. It was him who entered her home at night and killed everyone. I couldn't control my instincts… except he could, that his younger self managed to do so is enough proof. I just wanted to live a quiet life… except that excuse doesn't make sense, living a quiet life is the total opposite of killing people. No no no no no no no.
Reimi Sugimoto, her parents, her dog, all those women, everyone who tried to protect them, all those people. Shigechi, a kid who just wanted to protect his friends and family. An innocent tailor, whose only sin was to sell him a suit. Aya Tsuji, a woman who only wished to help people find love and happiness. Kosaku Kawajiri, a man who, despite being in a loveless marriage always did his best to earn money for his family. Minako and Satoru, two young people who were in love with each other, they laughed at him so he brutally murdered them. Why did he do that?
Why did all of them die?!
Kira felt like his head was going to explode, he could hear countless voices in his head, his mind desperate to find a motive, an excuse, an idea, literally anything able to free him of the unbearable pain that he was feeling.
Shinobu… a woman who was trapped in a loveless marriage. She fell in love with him, didn't she? It was obvious now, he wondered how she reacted at hearing the news of his death. He made her believe that love was real only to take that away from her. He ruined her life.
Hayato… a young child, so similar to Kira at his age. Incredibly smart and introverted, trapped in a broken family. Kira murdered his father and forced him to be the host of Bites the Dust, he basically tortured him psychologically time and time again. Why did he do that? To keep his identity hidden? He could've just stopped killing people.
How many lives did he ruin? How many people lost their friends and family because of him? How many quiet lives were torn apart by his madness?
Why did he do it?
He just wanted to preserve his peaceful life… That was the excuse he always used to calm himself down, it always worked… but then, why? WHY DID IT SOUND SO STUPID?!?
Kira fell to his knees and grabbed his head, he felt like he was going to cry at any moment. Why did he kill all these people? He couldn't find an answer. Why did he kill Reimi? He couldn't remember anymore.
All those people died, all those lives were ruined, all of his crimes… he did it…
He did it because he was pathetic.
He was an idiot who couldn't even see that someone could be friendly to him. He was a pathetic bastard who thought that he could live a quiet and peaceful life after killing over sixty people.
It
was
all
his
goddamn
fault.
In front of him, Sugimoto smiled, "Heh, this is a lot better than seeing you being dragged by the Alley's spirits, but I guess it's time to take my leave. See you later… Yoshikage."
Kira got up slowly, "Please don't leave" he whispered, he was now crying. He must be looking pathetic. No, he has always been pathetic, it was the first time in his life he realized it. Reimi looked at him, smiled and she was gone. Disappeared like the wind.
Alone once more, Kira screamed.
Some time later, Kira walked down the stairs of the hotel slowly. It's disappearing, he realized. Outside, the fog was dissipating. After finally reaching the exit, Kira found his younger self.
Yoshikage… his young self looked different from how Kira looked at his age. His expression was different, as if he laughed more often. Next to Yoshikage were his friends, Jotaro, Joseph, Polnareff, Kakyoin, Reimi… Only Yoshikage could see him.
There was an unconscious old woman tied by a rope lying on the ground. That woman was Enya, the hotel's owner, Kira looked at his younger self. "What happened here?"
Yoshikage looked at him, "While you were gone Enya revealed herself to be one of DIO's followers and attacked us with a Stand made of fog. She would've killed us all if it wasn't for Reimi, who convinced a flock of birds to push the fog into Jotaro, who used Star Platinum to inhale all the fog, suffocating her." Well, that was the weirdest Stand battle he ever heard of.
"So Reimi saved you." Kira said for some reason. Yoshikage looked at him, surprised he said that, "Yeah, we would have died without her help." Kira started laughing. His young self looked at him confused, "What's so funny?" Kira looked at Reimi, who was laughing with Joseph and Kakyoin at something Polnareff did. "Toilet licker" Reimi said while giggling. Polnareff looked angry but everyone else was laughing their asses off. It seems Kira missed an important event.
Kira now knew something Yoshikage didn't, that Reimi was aware of everything. She knew the truth about Yoshikage. She knew that had things gone slightly different she would have died by his hand. She knew that he could have become a serial killer. She knew all of that and more. Yet she didn't run away, she continued believing in him.
How?! How could someone be so… so kind?!
Around him, the hotel and the village disappeared with the fog, revealing a massive cemetery. Was it part of Enya's Stand? He didn't know.
Kira looked at his younger self, who now was with Reimi and the others, trying to stop Hol Horse, who had stolen their car and ran away.
All those people… His young self looked happy with them, and for some reason he knew he was happier than Kira had ever been.
The group reunited, trying to find another way to cross Pakistan. Yoshikage laughed at something Reimi said. He didn't look at Kira, why would he? Why would anyone want to look at someone like him?
Kira sat down in front of one of the tombs of the cemetery, he didn't know who was that tomb made for, but it didn't matter at all.
In front of that tomb, Kira looked down, closed his eyes and whispered five words.
"It is all my fault."
No one replied.
31 DAYS LEFT
Notes:
I'm so sorry for the delay, I was busy these last weeks. This one was also one of the hardest chapters to write, Kira's finally seeing himself as who he is, I hope I didn't make it too cheesy.
Originally, part of the chapter was going to show the Enya fight but I'd decided it would be better to give it all to Kira.
Next chapter we'll go back to the main Yoshikage and Reimi, as the group faces the Stand named Lovers.
As always, feel free to comment and give kudos.
Chapter 6: The Dance of the Lovers
Summary:
Three Stands enter Yoshikage's body without his consent.

Chapter Text
December 21, 1988
Karachi, Pakistan
In his childhood, Yoshikage had never been in any country other than Japan. To be honest, he never really cared about it, he didn't see what was the point of spending money and time to visit places you can easily see better on TV and magazines. In Yoshikage's opinion, the only reason people travelled was so they could talk about it with their friends. That's why Kakyoin used to show him countless photographs of him and his family during their trips. He remembered something Kakyoin told him, shortly before he made a short trip to Egypt two years ago. "Egypt is a beautiful country, Yoshikage, I'm sure you would like it. I hope that the next time I go to Egypt you can come with me.
As Yoshikage's group rode a carriage on their way to Karachi he could barely stop himself from saying, "This, Kakyoin, this is what happens when you don't shut up." Kakyoin was almost a better foreteller than Avdol.
Avdol was still in the hospital recovering from the wounds gotten from the battle against Emperor and Hanged Man a week ago. He still needed another week to recover completely. Yoshikage felt bad for Polnareff, who believed that Avdol had died, everyone kept the secret from him to make sure Avdol could recover in peace.
But the group wasn't alone in the carriage, they had a prisoner, Enya the Hag, one of DIO's main followers. Joseph said he could use Hermit Purple to see her memories on a TV, it would be vital to learn more about DIO's Stand.
As if she could know what he was thinking of, Enya suddenly opened her eyes and tried to stand up. She quickly found out she couldn't move due to still being tied up.
"I-I'm not going to reveal anything." She said. Polnareff screamed loudly after hearing her speak, "The Hag has gotten up!" Yoshikage smiled at the old woman, "It doesn't matter if you don't say anything, our friend's Stand can show us your memories. So you can continue sleeping if you want." Joseph gave a thumbs up. Enya started sweating but she laughed soon after, "Heh, Yoshikage. I'm glad I could meet you at last. I've wanted to give you my sincere condolences."
Jotaro raised his eyebrows, "Condolences? What do you mean old witch?" Enya looked down, "I mean Yoshikage's father! I know he died a year ago but I wanted to give my condolences in person. He was a good man, Yoshihiro, he helped us a lot. Lord DIO held him in high esteem."
Oh no, she was actually doing this. Yoshikage never found the chance to tell everyone about his father's deal with DIO, he wanted to do it eventually, but not like this!
Everyone was now looking at Yoshikage, "What is she saying?! Was your father a follower of DIO? Why haven't you told us about this, Yoshikage?"
Yoshikage started sweating, how could he explain it to them? Damn it, damn it. "Well, my father had served DIO without my knowledge prior to his death. It was the reason I got my Stand. I wanted to tell you but I couldn't find the moment."
Jotaro stared at him, trying to clarify if what Yoshikage was saying was true. The air was so tense…
"Hey, a doner kebab place!" Joseph's words came at the perfect time. It seemed they finally arrived at Karachi. "Why don't we get something to eat?" Jotaro gave Yoshikage a cold glare, it seemed that Enya wasn't going to be the only one who was going to be interrogated. What a way to start the day.
Yoshikage raised his hand, "I'll go buy kebabs for everyone." Joseph looked at him, "Are you sure Yoshikage? You don't know the Middle East's haggling technique!" Yoshikage rolled his eyes, "Come on Joseph, didn't you say you were made of cash?" Yoshikage jumped out of the carriage and approached the vendor.
After a minute of negotiating, Yoshikage managed to buy the seven kebabs for half of the vendor's original price. Middle East's haggling technique? Joseph and his custom of talking out of his ass…
Just as he returned to the carriage Enya started making strange noises. "What's happening?!" She looked like she was going to cry, "I-I… I haven't said anything! Do you really think that I, Enya, would tell these fools the secret of Lord DIO's Stand?!
Who was she talking to? The only person near them was the kebab vendor… oh for fuck's sake. Slowly, the vendor removed his disguise and started laughing. Damn it, couldn't he wait until they ate the kebabs? Of course he couldn't.
Tentacles started sprouting from Enya's face and attacked the carriage. Everyone jumped away quickly. Reimi turned around to face the vendor, "What's the meaning of this? She's one of you, she hasn't said anything to us yet!"
The vendor smiled, "It means that Lord DIO truly trusts no one. I'll be making sure you never speak again. And as for the six of you there… I'll be taking your lives."
Enya's body continued tearing itself apart, as the tentacles grew longer. Yoshikage could throw away his kebab if he wanted, he lost all his appetite. "Who the hell are you?!" The vendor had the smuggest face he'd ever seen.
"My name is Dan, Steely Dan. My mighty Stand belongs to The Lovers card. Soon, all of you will suffer the same fate as that witch." Enya had finished convulsing, she was dead.
Yoshikage wanted to vomit, Enya was their enemy, but her loyalty to DIO was unbreakable. She would've never betrayed him. So this is how DIO treated those loyal to him…
Steely Dan pointed at the old woman's corpse, "If you are curious, this is what DIO's flesh buds look like when they grow." Everyone started walking towards Dan, that piece of trash was now laughing at them while sitting on a chair. "How sad, she trusted him so deeply… It's just another proof of the scale of DIO's evil charms."
Kakyoin stared coldly at their enemy, "It will be six against one but we won't hesitate. Prepare yourself, Dan."
Dan laughed again, "Heh, it doesn't matter whether you are six or a hundred. None of you will be able to lay a finger upon me, the mighty Steely Dan..."
Challenge accepted, bastard.
Jotaro summoned his Stand, Star Platinum and punched Dan. Suddenly Yoshikage felt a massive pain in the stomach, the same place where Jotaro punched Dan. What is going on?!
Polnareff looked shocked, "What happened Yoshikage? He fell down just like that guy…" Slowly, Steely Dan got up and pointed at Jotaro, "You fool, I was in the middle of my explanation. You were close to killing your own friend. Listen closely, our battle has already begun. My Stand is quite different than those you've seen before."
Dan called out a young girl who was cleaning a nearby restaurant. Her face looked familiar… "Hey brat! I'll give you a tip, so hit my legs with your broom."
The girl tried to hide her face from them as she approached Dan with the broom. Yoshikage was sure he saw her face before. "Hit me!" Dan shouted. She hit Dan as hard as she could. Suddenly, Yoshikage felt a horrible pain in the leg, making him fall to his knees again.
Dan smiled, "I hope you've figured it out. My Stand enters the bodies of people. And now it's inside you Yoshikage! I get hurt, so does he! That means you can't do anything to me unless you wanna kill him too hehehe. The Lovers also gave him the same flesh bud as Enya. He'll soon suffer the same fate as her!"
Jotaro grabbed Dan by the shirt, "I'll just kill you so quickly that he won't have a moment to feel pain."
Yoshikage didn't like that plan, "Use your head Jotaro, if you kill him I'll die too!" He then felt a pain in the chest, the same place as where Jotaro grabbed Dan.
Jotaro didn't listen and summoned Star Platinum. "Don't do anything rash Jotaro!" Thank goodness Kakyoin was there and could grab Jotaro in time.
Steely Dan smiled, "You aren't taking me seriously!" He then punched Jotaro in the stomach. This must be horrible for Jotaro, being unable to fight back. Damn it, that bastard was playing with them as he pleased! His Stand was inside Yoshikage's brain…
Joseph scratched his head. "I've got an idea! Yoshikage, Polnareff, Kakyoin, follow me!" Kakyoin nodded, apparently he had the same idea as Joseph. Not knowing what else he could do, Yoshikage followed Joseph and ran away from Dan.
Kakyoin turned around, "Jotaro, Reimi! Keep him away from Yoshikage! We're going to get as far away from him as possible!" What?! Are they really going to leave Jotaro and Reimi with that bastard?!
After running for a while they finally reached a TV Shop. Yoshikage didn't know what they were planning to do, "What's your plan Joseph?"
Joseph smiled and touched one of the TVs. He then summoned his Stand, Hermit Purple. Suddenly, a bug-like being appeared on the TV inside a pink area.
Kakyoin pointed at it, "There it is, inside Yoshikage's brain!" Yoshikage was shocked and disgusted at seeing that bug messing with his brain. "How can we defeat that thing?"
Joseph smiled, "That's easy. Meanwhile I use this TV as a camera, Kakyoin and Polnareff will shrink their Stands and send them inside your body." Oh God please no. He just wanted to buy some kebabs, the last thing he wanted was having three Stands enter his body! Well, hopefully Jotaro and Reimi were alright.
===
Reimi looked at Steely Dan, who started laughing at seeing Yoshikage running away. "Idiots, they think my Stand will disappear with distance? They are going to have a bad surprise." Jotaro stared at him, "Sooner or later, you'll pay for this."
Dan laughed even louder, "Heh, if that's what you want you can follow me. You'll be a nice servant. Meanwhile…" Dan then grabbed Reimi's hand, "me and this lady are going to spend some time together." Don't hit him Reimi, Yoshikage would feel it too. Don't do it Reimi.
Dan looked at Reimi while giving the smuggest smile she'd ever seen. "Come on, don't look at me that way. I promise I will be nice. You might even like my company. You won't even miss Yoshikage." Just go along with it until Yoshikage is safe.
On their way they came across a drainage ditch. Dan smiled, "I could jump across this ditch easily but… if I were to trip and twist my ankle, it could be dangerous. And it'd be a pain to look for a bridge." What was he trying to say? "Hey Jotaro! Lie across this ditch and make yourself into a bridge. Me and Reimi will walk over it on you." Jotaro looked at him, his expression unreadable. "What the hell are you saying?" Dan pointed at him, "You know what I'm saying, are you retarded? I told you to make yourself into a bridge!"
Dan then kicked a wall. No!
===
My leg!" Yoshikage couldn't help but scream. "What's happening?" Joseph asked confused. "My leg is going numb!" He then fell to his knee. "Damn it!" What the hell were Jotaro and Reimi doing?
===
Steely Dan laughed, "This must have hurt a lot. Poor Yoshikage!" Jotaro muttered something and walked towards the ditch. He then laid down. Exactly as Dan wanted. "Good! You look like a pretty nice bridge, but I think it needs some testing."
He then pointed at Reimi, "Ladies first! Let's see if this bridge is as sturdy as it looks." Reimi looked at Jotaro, who nodded his head without saying anything. She then walked towards the ditch and slowly she stepped on Jotaro.
Dan didn't seem satisfied, "Pffft, come on Reimi. There's no need to be so slow! You can jump on him, I am sure he can take it!" She sighed, after which she jumped on Jotaro. "I'm sorry." He didn't say anything apart from muttering some insults she hoped were directed at Dan.
Finally, she crossed the ditch. It was Dan's turn. Unlike her, Dan went harder on Jotaro, stepping on him and jumping as hard as he could. Reimi could see the anger growing inside of Jotaro, "Calm down." She whispered. Jotaro looked at her, "Shut up, you're only saying that because he didn't step on you."
Reimi sighed and looked at Dan, "He hasn't stepped on me yet."
===
"The Lovers is located in the brain stem, where the nervous system begins." Joseph had created a map of Yoshikage's brain inside the TV.
Yoshikage hated everything in this situation, he hated being unable to do anything to help himself, he hated having to let Kakyoin and Polnareff introduce their Stands inside his body, he hated being unable to help Reimi and Jotaro.
Kakyoin tried to calm him down, "Listen Yoshikage, the only thing you can do now is relax. If you move we might cut something we shouldn't and we don't know what that might cause." This wasn't helping him calm down.
Joseph smiled, "This reminds me of how one time an aztec god introduced a wedding ring inside my heart." What the actual fuck?! "This is not time for your stories Joseph!"
Kakyoin sighed, "What did I say about relaxing, Yoshikage?"
"I'm doing my best you know?"
Next to him a familiar voice chuckled. Making sure no one noticed him Yoshikage turned around and stared at his older self.
Great, you could know you were having a shitty day when a dead murderer with crippling depression started laughing at your misfortune.
===
"Reimi, my dear. There's something I want you to do." Damn, it seems that it was her turn to be the servant.
"What's the matter?"
Dan pointed at his back, "Well, after having so much fun at the new bridge my back is itching a bit. Could you please give me a massage?"
Jotaro stood next to them without saying anything, likely thinking about how he was forced to be a bridge while she only had to give a massage.
Reimi went behind Dan and placed her hands on his shoulders, "You prefer light or rough massages?" Dan chuckled, "Light please." Reimi sighed and did as she was told. Hopefully this isn't painful for Yoshikage.
===
"OH YES!" Yoshikage couldn't help but shout. Everyone looked at him confused. "What is happening now?" Joseph asked.
"Someone is giving me a massage." Kakyoin and Polnareff laughed at hearing that. Yoshikage smiled, "Well, at least he's only making Reimi give him massages, I expected worse." Even if it wasn't directly, Yoshikage could almost feel Reimi's beautiful hands caressing his back. Oh yessss. Finally, something good is coming from this crappy day. He felt his pants getting tighter.
Polnareff scratched his head, "How are you so sure it's Reimi? Maybe Jotaro is the one doing the massage."
No no no no no no. It couldn't be Jotaro. He surely couldn't make such good massages. It didn't make sense. Holy crap he got an erection. Holy shit. He might have just gotten an erection due to Jotaro scratching his back. Damn it. Damn it.
Kakyoin shook his head, "I don't think so, this doesn't seem like the kind of massage Jotaro does." Thank God, Yoshikage was glad it wasn't Jotaro.
Wait a minute…
"How do you know the kind of massages Jotaro does?" Kakyoin's face turned pale. "Wel-Well, I don't know! I just… well by the way he moves… the way he speaks… I was just guessing you know?"
Joseph looked around, many people were watching wondering what was happening there. "Guys, I think we should look for another TV."
Yeah, that seemed like a good idea.
===
A few birds were flying above them. Steely Dan pointed at one of them, which was perched on a house roof. "Do you see that bird Reimi? It's a chukar partridge, this country's national bird. It's rare to see one of these in the city. This seems to be our lucky day!"
Dan placed some bread grains in his hand. "Reimi, I know your Stand makes you able to talk to animals. I want to see that chukar eating from my hand, I'm sure you can convince it."
Reimi sighed, she didn't know if she could convince that bird to eat from Dan's hand but she had to try.
"Delilah"
She felt the pink aura surrounding her, as it always happened when she summoned her Stand. Instantly she started hearing countless voices, she had to focus on that chukar. A tall pink spirit appeared beside her.
Using her Stand's mouth, she called out the chukar. "Hey, can you hear me?"
The chukar turned around and stared at her, "What was that? Did that human talk?! I knew I shouldn't have eaten that plant. Not gonna lie, thinking back it looked kinda weird..."
"No, I am talking. I have the power to talk to animals."
The bird started flying, "Wow, that's rad. What do you want from the humble Chuck?"
"Your name's Chuck?"
"Yep, Chuck the chukar. Don't ask. My parents were kinda lazy, not gonna lie."
"I wasn't going to ask. But well, my name's Reimi and I needed to…"
"You needed to what?"
"Let me finish, this man next to me wanted you to eat bread grains he has on his hand."
"Thanks for the offering, but I'm already full, not gonna lie."
"Please, you only have to land on his hand and peck it."
"Why would I do that?"
"Because if you don't do that he might hurt one of my friends."
"Wow, he sounds like a jerk, not gonna lie. I can poop on his head if you want."
"NO! Just land on his hand."
"Well, I'll do this just this time. I can't go pecking the hands of every human I see. I'm Pakistan's national bird, I have some self-respect, not gonn..."
"Yeah, sure. Just do it."
"I'm going, don't worry. Chuck to the rescue!"
Chuck the chukar then flew down and landed on Steely Dan's hand. It then started pecking it. Dan smiled, "Well done Reimi, this is nice!" Chuck turned around and stared at her, "What did he say?"
"He said he liked it."
"Wow, that's rad, not gonna lie. I think he'll love this one!"
Chuck then flew and landed on Dan's head.
"What are you doing? Chuck don't shit on him. Chuck no!"
"Chuck yes!"
Dan looked up, "Did that bird actually…?" He then touched his head, when he looked at his hand he saw the white substance of Chuck's poop.
Chuck then flew up. "Hah, Chuck the chukar asserts dominance against jerks once again!"
"I've told you not to do that!"
"And I didn't listen, not gonna lie. Goodbye Reimi!"
Steely Dan then called Jotaro, "Jotaro! Wash my head!" Jotaro then stared at Reimi, who didn't know what to say. Damn you Chuck.
===
Eventually they had to buy the TV and take it to a secluded place. They now weren't surrounded by the locals. Yoshikage felt something weird in his head, like if someone was trying to wash it. He didn't know if it had something to do with having The Lovers literally trying to eat his brain, but he didn't want to know.
Joseph touched the TV and summoned Hermit Purple again. The screen now showed the pink area (his own brain) being filled with tentacles. Yoshikage didn't feel good. Kakyoin looked at him. “You can turn around so you don't see the screen.” Yeah, that's a good idea.
After turning around, Yoshikage tried to look at the landscape and stop thinking about the hell that was happening inside his head. Kakyoin didn't help at all, as he was commenting loudly. “Look! He's using his scissor-like hands to knead Yoshikage's brain cells into a gooey mash!” Yoshikage felt he was going to pass out at any moment. All his life he was proud of his intelligence, how much dumber would he become when they managed to defeat Lovers ? If they actually managed to do that…
===
While Jotaro washed up Dan's head Reimi saw a young girl looking at them. She was the same girl that hit Dan's leg with a broom and ran away. Could it be...? Anne?! Reimi ran and reached her before she could run away again. "What are you doing here? We took you to the airport so you could return to Hong Kong a week ago!"
Anne smiled, "Heh, I just had to leave the plane before it flew off!"
"Why did you follow us all the way here? Can't you see how dangerous it is?" Anne looked down, "I know, but I have my reasons to go to Egypt!"
"Reimi! Why are you talking with that girl?" Dan looked at them while Jotaro finished cleaning his hand without saying a word.
"I think she might have stolen my wallet." Dan laughed, "Just check her pockets then."
Reimi focused on Anne again, "Well? Which are your reasons?"
"There's a family relic there. It has belonged to my family for much time but someone stole it and took it to Egypt. If I find it and take it back home my father would see that I am worthy of my family name!"
"So you followed us all this time so we could help you recover that relic?"
"Yep. Anubis has always been a symbol of the Serai family. I will be the first one to wield it in centuries!"
Reimi didn't like where this conversation was heading. What should she do? If she took her to an airport again she would find another way to escape, likely putting herself in even more danger. Reimi took some money from her pocket and gave it to Anne. "What, why?" Reimi smiled, "Use it to find a safe way to Egypt. But please be careful."
Anne hugged Reimi and thanked her before running away again. Reimi felt she was going to regret her decision sooner or later.
In her head she wondered one thing, "What kind of relic was an Anubis?"
===
Yoshikage tried to focus on the clouds. There was one which looked like a plane. Yeah, this was better than thinking about how Kakyoin and Polnareff were fighting for their lives inside his head, or how Joseph was almost vomiting at what he was seeing in the TV screen, or how that bastard Steely Dan was using his brain cells to make copies of his Stand…
Yeah, that was a nice cloud.
From the TV, Yoshikage could hear Dan's voice laughing, “Right here, my Stand is the most, the most, the most, most, most, most, most, most, most, most, most, most, terrifying of all!”
Focus on the cloud, Yoshikage.
Focus on anything you can.
There was a bird flying above him. It had a red beak and some black stripes on its feathers. What kind of bird was that? After thinking for a while he remembered that bird's name.
“Chukar!”
Polnareff turned around, “What are you saying Yoshikage?” Yoshikage smiled, “I'm glad my brain continues working, for now at least.”
===
After walking for a while they entered a jewelry store. Dan called Jotaro again, “Say, Jotaro. Take a look at this gold bracelet. It would make Reimi happy, I'm sure Yoshikage doesn't buy her stuff like this.” He had a point, not gonna lie. Damn it Chuck, she now had his catchphrase.
Dan laughed and pointed at the bracelet. “Jotaro, use your Stand to sneak through and steal it! Did you listen? I told you to steal the bracelet, you dumbass! Hurry up! The salesman's looking the other way!”
Jotaro sighed and did as he was told, he summoned Star Platinum and took the bracelet without making any noise. Dan looked at him and made a shocked face “Look! This guy is shoplifting!” Jotaro turned around and stared at him, “You bastard…” The salesman came running with some of his friends. They then started beating up Jotaro, who couldn't use his Stand against civilians. They then threw his battered body to the street.
Reimi looked at Dan, “But why, why did you do that?” Dan laughed and put a necklace on her. “I took it during the commotion.” Don't tell him where he can shove his necklace Reimi, you don't know how he'll react.
Instead, Reimi ran to Jotaro, who was still lying on the ground. “Are you alright Jotaro?” The only answer was a cold laugh. Oh no, Jotaro is laughing. He's going to kill Dan. Can't he remember that Yoshikage would die too?
Steely Dan looked at Jotaro, “What the hell are you laughing about?” Jotaro smiled and looked at Dan, “I'm laughing in anticipation of the fun that's to come. I'm so excited for the moment I get to pay you back.” Dan laughed back, “Heh, you don't know your situation properly. Yoshikage will die in mere seconds…” Jotaro laughed louder, and for some reason Reimi started laughing too.
Jotaro gave the biggest smile she'd ever seen on him. “You don't know us. You don't know what we're made of. You don't know Kakyoin.”
Reimi smiled at Dan, “And you don't know Yoshikage.”
===
Kakyoin started laughing, "You committed a mistake, you clearly don't know your enemies well enough." Yoshikage breathed deeply, it looked like they were starting to win.
Kakyoin smiled, "My Hierophant Green can spread its roots along the ground, so I can inspect every single copy and find the real you! Emerald Splash!!!"
Yoshikage then heard Dan's voice screaming in pain. It was the best thing he heard today.
===
At that moment, Steely Dan started screaming as blood appeared in his head. Jotaro got up, still smiling, "Well, well, looks like I was right. They finally got you, Dan. I wonder if I'll still have my chance at payback once Kakyoin's done with you!"
===
Kakyoin smiled, "He realized he lost! It's now trying to leave Yoshikage's brain." Finally, it was over. He was glad his brain didn't suffer permanent damage. He hoped Reimi and Jotaro were alright…
"OVERDRIVE!!"
Joseph then placed his hands on Yoshikage's head and filled it with Hamon. Gosh, he felt weirdddd…
"Wh-What the hell was that, Joseph?!" Yoshikage didn't like having his head electrocuted.
Kakyoin smiled, "Now the flesh bud's gone too!" Oh yeah, he forgot about the flesh buds. Oh no, how could he forget about it. Holy shit his dear brain cells…
Wait…
Yoshikage turned around, "If the Stand is leaving my brain that means… It's returning to Dan! Jotaro and Reimi don't know that!"
Reimi, Jotaro, please be alright.
===
For the first time, Steely Dan's face looked terrified. He started stepping back while breathing loudly. Reimi smiled and crossed her arms, "Hey Dan! Can you tell us about what's happening to Yoshikage?"
Without saying anything, Dan turned around and tried to run away. Jotaro stopped him by pulling his hair. That had to hurt, it looks like the payback has started.
Dan then kneeled, "Please forgive me Jotaro, Reimi! I am so sorry."
Suddenly Jotaro summoned Star Platinum and grabbed a fly that was trying to enter his head. Could that small insect be Lovers ? "I figured you were trying to do something like this. Don't you know Star Platinum possesses excellent eyesight and precise reflexes?" How can his Stand be so overpowered? Reimi was a bit jealous, the only thing she could do was talk to animals. Most of the time it was useless, not gonna lie... God dammit Chuck.
Dan started crying, "Sorry, sorry. Your majesty's Stand is stronger than any other! I promise I'll never attack you again. Please let me go!" He then looked at Reimi, took a phone from his pocket and threw it at her. "Wh-What's this?"
Dan smiled, "DIO told me that if I lost, I had to give that phone to either you or Yoshikage. Soon, you'll receive a call. Make sure to pick it up." Was this a trick or something?
Jotaro raised his eyebrow, "That's all you had to say? I want to pay you back for everything you did to me."
Reimi laughed, "Come on Jotaro, no need to be so harsh. He wasn't that bad, he gave me a phone and a necklace after all, remember?"
Jotaro looked at her confused, until he realized what she meant. He then freed Dan. "Reimi's right. You don't deserve so much pain, I think you learned your lesson."
Dan smiled happily, "Thank you so much, you two truly are good people!" He then tried to run away again.
"ORA!"
Jotaro punched him in the back, throwing him face down to the dirty ground. "No one can be a completely good person, but even if we were… I can still lie to scum like you."
Reimi sighed, "Come on Jotaro, I consider myself to be quite a good person."
Jotaro looked at her, "Then give back the necklace you're wearing. Dan stole it, remember?"
"I said I was a good person, not that I was an angel!"
Jotaro looked at Dan again, "Heh, well let's see what you owe me." Jotaro then picked up a notebook he had in his pocket, he wrote on it everything Dan made him suffer.
Dan stood, "Please, your excellency, Jotaro the mighty, I'll never return! You'll never see me again. Please I beg you…"
"ORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORA"
Jotaro started punching every part of Steely Dan's body, from the head to the feet.
"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORA"
"Come on Jotaro, I think it's a bit too much."
"No, it's not. ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA"
Sometimes Reimi had nightmares of Yoshikage being a serial killer. Her other self's ghost never hid any detail of what Kira did to those women. But now she thought that a serial killer Jotaro would be a lot more terrifying.
"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA"
Steely Dan was then launched towards a building at the other side of the road. He even broke the walls of the building.
Jotaro then tore a page of the notebook and threw it towards Steely Dan's corpse. "Here is the receipt."
If Reimi hadn't known that Jotaro was one of her allies she would be running away as fast as she could. Perhaps she should still do it, just in case.
"Do you know what overkill means, Jotaro?"
Jotaro looked at her, "I did not overkill, I just killed."
Was he trying to tell her a joke?
At that moment the phone Steely Dan gave her started ringing, she picked it up as fast as she could. "Who are you?" She asked not knowing what to expect.
"Mmm… I take it that Steely Dan has been defeated, interesting. I guess you're Reimi Sugimoto, is Yoshikage with you?" The voice sounded mechanical, likely altered somehow so that the person calling couldn't be recognized.
"No, he's not with me at the moment, he'll come here soon though."
"Well, I guess you can give him the news later. You asked who I was, didn't you? Well, I can't tell you my real name but you can call me Pink Floyd."
"Are you a rock band?"
"Sadly not. Well, I'm calling from your home country, Japan. You might be wondering how am I able to make a call from Japan to Pakistan, but that doesn't matter right now."
"What do you want from me and Yoshikage?"
"My master, DIO, wanted you two to stop chasing him and return to your home in Morioh. You have to appreciate his mercy, he could kill both of you in an instant if he so desired."
Reimi smiled, so now DIO wanted Yoshikage and her to return to Japan. Was he scared of them?
"Mmm, interesting. But what would happen if we refuse?"
The caller, Pink Floyd, laughed, "I was waiting for you to say something like that. Come here boy!"
Then, a kid's voice was heard from the phone. "Reimi? Is it you? It's me, Rohan. I-I don't know where I am, but I think I'm still in Morioh… I need yo…"
Pink Floyd took the phone again, "Heh, I think I don't need to say anything else. If you and Yoshikage haven't aren't back in Morioh by next week, Rohan Kishibe will die. You have seven days to say goodbye to your friends."
Reimi's hands started trembling, "I swear, if you touch him, what Jotaro just did to Steely Dan will look like child's play!"
Pink Floyd laughed, "That's not the thing you should say to someone holding a child hostage, but I'll forgive you for now. See you in a week. Don't forget to tell Yoshikage."
He hung up.
===
Yoshikage was angry. He had one of his worst days ever. In a stupidly short amount of time, Enya revealed to everyone that his father worked for DIO, three Stands entered his body without his consent, one of them made copies of itself out of Yoshikage's brain cells, and then he got his head electrocuted by Joseph.
And now Rohan Kishibe had been kidnapped.
Reimi and Kakyoin were wondering who could have kidnapped Rohan. They thought Pink Floyd had to be an Agent of DIO who lived in Morioh, as it would be the only way he knew of Yoshikage and Reimi's attachment to Rohan.
Yoshikage already had a good idea who Pink Floyd was.
His own father, Yoshihiro.
That old bastard.
He told him that he didn't want him to challenge DIO but Yoshikage didn't expect him to fall this low.
Kidnapping an innocent kid…
Everyone looked at him confused when he said his theory, "Isn't your father dead?"
If only...
===
After a while Joseph managed to use Hermit Purple to connect the TV in front of them with the one in the Kira household. Yoshikage didn't expect to see his father again so soon, but there was no other option. The others decided to leave Yoshikage to deal with his father alone, they couldn't know how he'd react at seeing them.
The TV screen showed a house's living room. An old man was floating on a camera placed on the sofa, in front of the TV.
The old man's eyes widened as he looked at the screen. He then flew towards the TV. His face now covered the entire screen.
"Yoshikage, my dear son. I can't believe I am seeing your face again! I have been terrified these last three weeks, not knowing if you were alive or dead! I don't know how you are on TV but I don't care. I'm just glad to see you well!" A big smile appeared in Yoshihiro's face. "Does this mean you're coming back home at last?"
How can someone be so cold? Yoshikage couldn't believe his father could be so crooked. No, actually he believed it.
"Go to hell father."
Yoshihiro flew back, shocked. "Why would you say something like that to me? What have I done?" Making his childhood a complete mess for starters. Making a deal with a vampire and helping him expand his power. Not trying to stop his wife from abusing his son. Being a cold bastard all his life. Possibly kidnapping an innocent child just to force him to return home.
Coming to think of it, Yoshikage had some daddy issues. Were they still issues if they were justified?
"You really think I wouldn't realize that it was you? I can't believe you actually kidnapped a kid just to make me come back."
"Wait, what the hell are you talking about? I haven't kidnapped anyone. I had that idea before but I sadly couldn't remember the name of any of those punks you spend time with." Did he really admit in front of him that he wanted to kidnap one of his friends? What the hell was wrong with him ?
Yoshikage wondered how much of his father's behaviour helped make his original self a serial killer.
Breathe deeply Yoshikage. Rohan is in danger. You'll deal with your father later. Focus on helping Rohan.
"Father, can you promise that you didn't kidnap Rohan Kishibe?"
"I swear to you by all that's holy that I didn't kidnap that person! Please believe me Yoshikage!"
Breathe deeply Yoshikage. Count to four. One, two, three, four.
"Alright, I think I believe you. But it doesn't change much. Someone has kidnapped one of my friends and is holding him hostage somewhere in Morioh."
Yoshihiro gave him a smug look, "Well Yoshikage. DIO has a reputation of not letting those who defy him go unpunished, something like this was expected. I don't wanna say I told you but…"
Don't explode the TV, Yoshikage. Don't do it.
"What you told me doesn't matter now. The boy's name is Rohan Kishibe, he is nine years old. The kidnapper must be another Agent of DIO residing in Morioh. Could you please…?
His father's smug smile rose, "Could I what? I didn't hear you?"
That goddamn… Do it for Rohan, he's completely innocent.
"Please father, I beg you. Could you please find Rohan and free him? I can't do anything from here. Please, you said that the only reason you stayed as a ghost was to help me. It's your time to prove that it wasn't one of your many lies!"
Yoshihiro looked thoughtful for a moment before answering, "Alright, I'll find that child and take him home without a scratch. I think I can remember the names of some fellow followers of DIO in the area. I'll start by looking there. When I do that, you'll finally see that my love for you is true!"
"Thank you so much father."
That bastard, he doesn't care at all if an innocent kid is murdered.
Yoshikage had to finish giving his father the information he needed, "The kidnapper is likely a man and he called himself Pink Floyd. In five days I'll call you from another TV to check if you freed Rohan."
If he didn't free Rohan in those five days Yoshikage and Reimi would get a plane to return to Japan before the week ended. He couldn't say that to his father. If Yoshihiro knew about that he would sit in his sofa for the five days and then cry to Yoshikage that he did all he could and that he was happy he was going back home.
Yoshihiro turned around and looked at the window, "Pink Floyd, male, follower of DIO, in Morioh… I think I know who this kidnapper might be! Don't worry my son, I'll go find that child as fast as I can!"
Yoshikage smiled, there were many things he hated about his father, but he would never underestimate his determination. If his father said he would find Rohan he would do it as fast as a ghost who didn't need to sleep could.
Yoshikage breathed deeply, and went to give his friends the news.

Meanwhile in Morioh, Japan
Mansaku Nijimura was an absolute dumbass. He realized it by now. His life has been marked by bad luck and worst life decisions. He really thought that he could spend all the money he wanted just because he made a deal with a vampire. He never thought that he had to do anything to repay him, until that morning when he received a message.
"Mansaku Nijimura, you've been living at the expense of the good will of I, DIO, and now it's the time to show me how thankful you are. There are two young people from your town who were messing with my plans for a while. Their names are Yoshikage Kira and Reimi Sugimoto. You must find a way to make them return home. This is your test. The way you do that doesn't concern me. You can use a phone number I'll give you to contact Yoshikage and Reimi, they are currently in Pakistan. If you succeed, you'll have all the money and power you desire. However, if you disobey or fail you'll be saying that you don't care for everything I, DIO, gave you you and your family shall pay me back every last penny, one way or another.
Mansaku wasn't close to either Yoshikage or Reimi, but he remembered seeing them in the park with a young child, a boy who was in the same school as his children. Rohan Kishibe.
And so there he was, inside an abandoned building in Morioh with a young boy who apparently wasn't afraid of him at all.
"Wait, so you have a superpower?" Mansaku, who was wearing a mask to hide his identity, was shocked at how outspoken Rohan was despite being kidnapped. "Well yeah, I have a power which makes me able to regenerate any wound in an instant."
Mansaku grabbed a knife and used it to give himself a wound in his hand. Instantly, a green substance appeared and covered the wound. Once the substance disappeared the wound was gone too. It all lasted seconds. Unlike most Stands, the green substance could be seen by anyone. Even Rohan, who didn't have a Stand, could see it.
"This is my superpower, I call it Pink Floyd."
Rohan looked at him confused. "But it's green, shouldn't you call it Green Floyd?"
Mansaku couldn't believe he was actually explaining his abilities to a child he had kidnapped. Apparently Rohan enjoyed it, he said that the experience would give him inspiration from a manga he planned to write once he was older.
"Yeah, it would make sense to call it Green Floyd but the name comes from the rock band Pink Floyd. I thought it would be cool to name my power after them."
Rohan looked like he just saw a gold mine. "That's brilliant, I should do the same! Naming the character's powers after musicians or songs would be an interesting detail uncommon in most media! It could also help people learn of music they would have missed if it wasn't from my manga, which would make them love it even more. It's perfect!"
Mansaku sighed, "Glad to give you inspiration." What a weird kid. In one week those two people, Yoshikage and Reimi, must have returned to Morioh. He really hoped that was the case, because if they didn't he'd be forced to murder this young child. He had no other option, his sons' safety depended on him.
Keicho… Okuyasu…
Mansaku looked at the green substance created by Pink Floyd. If the worst happened, he would use his Stand to strange Rohan. It would be quick and painless.
Rohan raised his hand, again. Did he think he was in class?
Sighing, Mansaku nodded with his head and listened to Rohan's question.

Chapter Text
December 24, 1988
Arabian Desert, United Arab Emirates
Yoshikage's family never celebrated Christmas, to them it was just a day like the others. Even in his weirdest dreams he would never have thought he would celebrate Christmas this year by crossing the Arabian Desert on a camel.
He didn't even remember it was already 24th until Joseph mentioned it. That meant they had been on this journey for twenty-six days, almost four weeks. Yoshikage didn't feel really up for parties, back in Morioh Rohan was still held kidnapped. Father, find him as soon as you can you spectral piece of trash.
"Are we really going to ride camels?" Polnareff asked in shock after watching Joseph trade a car he just bought for a group of those animals. Joseph laughed at hearing that, "Hehehe, leave it to me. I know them very well. I'll teach you how to ride. Just sit back and relax."
He then approached one of the camels and grabbed the rope tied on its head. "It's easy, you make them sit first, and then get on."
Joseph then pulled the rope but the camel didn't move. He tried again and the result was the same. He then pulled the rope with his two hands, nothing happened. Joseph smiled, "Heh, sometimes they aren't accustomed to strangers. But sooner than later they will…" He then pulled the rope again, "Sooner than later they will sit." The camel didn't move.
Polnareff pointed at Joseph, confused "Hey, you have ridden one of these before, right?"
Joseph tried to climb on the camel, "Of course I did! Many times! I wouldn't lie about this."
Suddenly, all the camels sat down and started looking at them. Joseph started laughing, "See? That's what I'm talking about! Easy peasy lemon squeezy."
Jotaro was surprised, "I didn't believe you actually knew how to ride camels." Joseph looked hurt, "You really thought I was lying, Jotaro?"
Polnareff sighed, "This is the weirdest Christmas of my life." Yoshikage was sure everyone in the group agreed.
After everyone was on their camels Joseph smiled and pointed at the vast desert in front of them, "It's time! Let's get through that desert, everyone! Onward toward the northwest!"
Yoshikage then talked to Reimi, whispering to make sure no one noticed, "How much did Joseph pay you to convince those camels?"
Reimi smiled, "Enough."
===
Kira liked the desert, he liked watching the endless dunes and feeling the sand beneath his feet. He turned around only to see more dunes, after which he smiled.
He separated from his young self's group an hour ago, he wanted to walk alone for a while. He needed to think about many things.
A week has passed since the ghost of Sugimoto revealed him the truth about his past crimes. That moment Kira finally saw the full extent of his own cruelty, all the innocent lives he destroyed, and for what reason? It was all his goddamn fault.
These past days Kira had been thinking about himself, the reasoning behind his crimes and why he was still here in this world. He was a ghost after all. Ghosts are supposed to stay in the land of the living as long as something remains left for them to do. But he already finished his job, didn't he? He went to the past and helped give a young version of himself a happy life. What else did he have to do?
Knowing that no one was near him, Kira asked loudly to himself, "What do I want to do before going to Hell?" He didn't lie to himself, he killed dozens of people, he would never go to Heaven.
A rough voice was heard behind him, "Who the fuck knows? You have a weird way to say hello mister." It was impossible, no one could ever hear him… except other ghosts.
Kira turned around and looked at the tall spirit smiling behind him. He had tanned skin, brown short hair, a moustache and a small beard. He likely was one of the locals who died in the desert of something like that, Kira didn't care at all. He pointed at the spirit, "What are you doing here?"
The spirit smiled, "I should be the one asking you that, I've been living in this sandy hellhole for a few centuries, I don't remember the exact number."
Kira sighed, the last thing he needed now was having a talkative ghost pissing him off. "Could you please leave me alone?"
"Come on, fellow spirit. I just wanted to welcome you to this beautiful landscape. It's unusual for me to have visitors."
Kira looked at the desert all around him, sand and dunes everywhere as far the sight could reach. "I feel welcomed, now leave me."
"Wow, you really are friendly! But come on pal, it's the first time a ghost has come here in decades, at least tell me your name."
Kira sighed, there was no problem in telling the ghost his name, hopefully he would leave him alone after that. "My name is Yoshikage Kira."
The spirit scratched his beard, "That's a nice name. I bet you wanna know mine too!"
"No, I don't."
"Heh, are you asking who I am? I'm surprised you haven't guessed that by now! I am a legendary warrior! I am the unbeatable smith! My name was a symbol of strength and courage for ages! I am the creator and first wielder of the perfect sword, Anubis. I am Caravan Serai!"
Kira raised his eyebrow, "Am I supposed to know that name?"
Serai scratched his head, "Mmm, well, I guess a lot of time has passed since my glorious days, but still… Maybe my legends didn't reach China as I thought."
"I'm not from China, I'm from Japan."
Serai looked confused, "Where is Japan?"
Kira's face was priceless.
Serai looked ashamed, "Sorry pal, my knowledge of international geography is kinda off. I could tell you many things about my glorious days tho. The ships I attacked with the boys, the villages I raided, the legendary duels I participated in and much more."
Kira was surprised to see himself being curious of Serai's story. "So you were a pirate?"
Serai laughed, "Pirate, smith, mercenary, soldier, bodyguard, merchant… I had a busy life you know? I was lucky, I had an interesting life filled with blood, swords, women and money."
Serai smiled, "Well, mister Kira, how many people have you killed?"
Kira stepped back in shock, Serai started laughing. "Come on pal, I'm not gonna judge ya! I've murdered many people too, both inside and outside the battlefield. I know a killer when I see one. Tell me about yourself, how did you end up here?"
For some reason Kira wanted to tell this person his story. Perhaps it would be good for him to talk about it with someone who had commited the same crimes as him. What could he lose?
Kira breathed deeply, and started telling his story.

"Something's wrong" Kakyoin said while looking around, "I still can't shake the feeling that someone's watching us."
Yoshikage turned his face around, there was nothing there, just dunes everywhere. "Kakyoin, I think you are worrying too much. We are covering our tracks so no one can follow us. And we can see a great distance around us, if someone comes we'll see them instantly, but just to be sure..."
He then picked up the binoculars and gave them to Jotaro, whose Star Platinum might help seeing anything suspicious from a great distance.
After looking around for a while Jotaro gave the binoculars back. "I don't see anything wrong but… Something is weird."
Joseph sighed, "Whatever that is we can't do anything about it. Let's get as far as we can and when the sun goes down, we'll stop and put our tents."
"That has to be soon, right?" Reimi asked, after which she looked at her watch. "What the-? Everyone, look at your watchs!"
Surprised, they all did what Reimi said. "It-It's eight o' clock PM? How can this be? Why isn't the sun going down?!"
Polnareff screamed behind them, "The thermometer just jumped to 60 degrees Celsius!"
Awesome, dying of heatstroke on Christmas Eve. The best way to spend the holiday.
Joseph pointed at the sun, "Could it be…? The Sun itself is a Stand?!"
===
Kira smiled, it really was satisfying to talk with someone who understood him. He didn't say anything about his time travel, he didn't deem it necessary.
Serai looked thoughtful for a moment before talking.
"So you fuck hands?"
Kira looked shocked, "Wh-What?"
"I just don't see how that works, I mean… Most of the other stuff makes sense, killing women, making sure no one noticed, taking a part of their corpse as a trophy, those things are understandable. But hands? How the hell does that work?"
Serai looked at his hands, "Just where is the hole?"
Kira wanted to vomit, why did he think this was a good idea? "I-I don't… I didn't do that with the hands. I just took them with me and gave them gifts like rings or bracelets."
"You really are a weirdo. Does that mean you've never…" Serai started laughing. "... Does that mean you are a virgin, Kira-kun?"
After a moment of silence Serai laughed uncontrollably, "My gosh this is just so funny. So you've killed almost fifty women and still you've never had sex!"
Kira was sad he couldn't make ghosts explode. It was insane how the ghost of an Arabian mercenary from the 15th Century had the sense of humor of a horny teenager.
"This is not funny, I now see that what I did was wrong and I don't know what to do. I also have the ghost of my first victim haunting me wherever I go."
Serai smiled, "Perhaps I should take you two to my murder counseling."
"What is that?"
"It's simple. You and your victim come here and talk about your feelings. Meanwhile, I'll grab some popcorn and watch the drama."
No, that wasn't a good idea. With his luck Sugimoto and Serai would actually get along and team up to haunt him. The last thing he needed was having these two calling him virgin in unison.
"I think I'll pass."
Serai sighed, "Your loss then."

Yoshikage started sweating, he felt he was going to melt at any moment. "Everyone, try to hide behind some rocks!"
"That bastard is planning to boil us overnight, like octopuses!"
Jotaro breathed deeply, "The best way to end this is taking out the User. He has to be nearby."
The camels started collapsing from the heat. Reimi placed her hands on her head. Damn it, Yoshikage forgot she could hear what the animals were thinking, this must be horrible for her.
Jotaro summoned Star Platinum and started punching the ground, "I'll make a hole, jump in!"
Reimi looked at the camels, "We need to help them too!"
Yoshikage sighed, "Jotaro, we'll send Killer Queen and Star Platinum to check on the camels and bring them here." If any of them was still alive.
Jotaro nodded and summoned his Stand, Yoshikage did the same. The Stands then approached the six camels lying on the ground hyperventilating. Two of them were dead. That bastard, these camels are completely innocent. Worse, he made Reimi feel bad…
Killer Queen and Star Platinum grabbed two camels each (thank goodness for their Stands' strength) and brought them to the hole. "We need to defeat the User before we get roasted!"
Polnareff sighed, "That's a wonderful idea, but how?"
Joseph tried to use the binoculars, only for them to be destroyed by a fireblast. "Son of a bitch! Where the hell are you! How are you watching us! Is the enemy invisible?"
Yoshikage looked at the desert outside of the hole, there wasn't any hint of the User's location. Nope, nothing strange. Just dunes, sand and rocks. There was nowhere he could be hiding. Just dunes and rocks. Weird, two of the rocks looked exactly the same…
Yoshikage started laughing, shortly afterwards Kakyoin started laughing too, followed by Polnareff, Reimi and Jotaro. It was the first time he saw Jotaro laughing, it was so funny it made Yoshikage laugh louder.
Joseph, the only one who wasn't laughing, stared at them in utter shock. "Oh my God! Everyone's finally lost it because of the heat!"
Kakyoin pointed at one of the rocks, "Don't get the wrong idea Mr. Joestar. Look at that rock over there. Ain't it big enough for someone to hide behind it? Now look at the rock on the opposite side. They have exactly the same shape. The shadow is also reversed."
Jotaro used Star Platinum to grab a stone and threw it towards the rock. They then heard the sound of glass being broken. Suddenly the sky turned dark, it was night at last.
It took a while.
The group approached the glass, which was revealed to be a mirror. A small fat man was lying on the ground behind it. "That idiot, he had an air conditioner and water supplies. We'll take that with us."
The camels made some happy noises.
Joseph scratched his head in confusion, "That's it? We already beat the User? We don't even know his name."
Jotaro looked tired, "Yare yare daze. Who cares for his name? Let's move geezer."
"But-but it's dangerous to go at night!"
Yoshikage looked at the moon "Come on Joseph, the enemy has been defeated. We now can sleep peacefully."

Kira looked at Serai, "How do you do it?"
Serai scratched his beard, "Do what?"
"How? How do you stay so… so happy after having killed so many people?"
He looked thoughtful for a moment before answering, "Well, I never really thought about them. I was just doing my job as a badass mercenary you know?"
Kira sighed, "I thought something similar, I considered that killing people was part of myself, a vital piece of the quiet life I wanted to have. Heh, I know it's weird but I never considered that there could be another way… until a week ago."
Serai looked serious for the first time, "What caused that change?"
Kira remembered the events at Enya's hotel, "A week ago I encountered the ghost of my first victim, the one who started everything. She… told me her version of the story and I couldn't help but… I… During these past years I made countless excuses to justify my crimes, but what she told me tore them all apart. I can't justify my deeds anymore, and it hurts. It hurts more than anything I've felt before. I now realize that it was all my fault." Kira felt he was going to vomit at any moment.
Serai placed a glass in front of him filled with a red liquid. He smiled, "Black tea, in my opinion the best drink. It helps calming me down when I need it." Kira stared at the tea, he was right, he needed to calm down, but he just couldn't control it.
Serai smiled, "Well Kira, I remember you were asking something loudly when we first met, I wonder if you found the answer. What do you want to do before going to hell?"
Kira thought for a moment before realizing what the wanted the most. He wanted to be freed of this weight he felt crushing his soul. He wanted… No, he needed forgiveness, to finally prove to himself and to everyone that he had changed. Sugimoto… she would never forgive him for what he did to her and to those dozens of people. But he had to try, he was a ghost, he had all the time in the world. No matter how much it costs, how much it takes, he would redeem himself. It's the only way he would ever feel at peace again.
Serai smiled, "It looks like you finally found out, I'm glad." Kira didn't know how he could thank him, "Why are you helping me?"
Serai shrugged his shoulders, "If monsters don't support each other, who will?"
Kira was speechless, Serai smiled and looked at his glass of tea, "Around here when we make a toast we say ṣaḥtak, it means for your health."
Kira thought about that., "Well, we are both ghosts, I don't think we should worry about our health."
Serai smiled, "Good, something less to worry about."
Kira smiled back, "That's the spirit!"
They both burst out laughing. Gosh, he didn't remember having laughed this much in his life.
Serai lifted his glass of tea, still laughing. "For the new beginnings! Ṣaḥtak"
Kira lifted his own glass. "For the discovery of a new purpose! Ṣaḥtak"

Meanwhile in Morioh, Japan
Rohan Kishibe was drawing monsters. He had nothing else to do.
He had been trapped in the abandoned building for three days and he already did all the things his kidnapper allowed him to do before getting angry. Rohan asked him countless questions about his bizarre power named Pink Floyd, which allowed him to regenerate wounds in an instant, it was incredible. Stuff like that was supposed to only exist in fiction, but now he saw it with his own eyes. Rohan was given a few pages of paper to write ideas and draw stuff, which was the only thing he could do while the kidnapper was outside doing whatever kidnappers do in their free time. When he came back he usually answered most of the questions quickly before making sure he didn't attempt to escape during his absence, he didn't have to, Rohan wouldn't miss this chance to find inspiration. The kidnapper didn't say anything when hearing that.
Rohan knew that he was confused at his reaction. Kidnapped children were supposed to be scared, weren't they? Normally they would cry out for their parents, but Rohan never thought of them during his time in the abandoned building. He didn't think they were looking for him, knowing his parents they would just continue with their routines without even realizing that his son had disappeared. They spent most of the time at work, which was the reason he was left with Reimi so often.
Rohan sighed and focused on his drawing. He had to train his artistic skills, the sooner he started the better he would get once he grew older and became a famous mangaka, that was his dream. He knew that he wanted to be a mangaka ever since he was just three years old.
Even before that he liked drawing and loved showing his creations to the few friends he had. His parents never had time to watch his drawings and never commented on them.
Eventually his kidnapper returned, as always he wore a mask to hide his face. The mask looked like a monster, the same monster Rohan was drawing. The kidnapper approached him and looked at his drawing, "You have been doing that all the time I was away?" Rohan looked at him, "What else can I do?"
The kidnapper sighed and left the room, he likely went to a room he used as an office of sorts.
After he left Rohan looked at one of the windows, which was half open. There was a photograph stuck outside. Weird, it was the first time Rohan saw it there. Suddenly, Rohan heard a voice coming from the photograph. "Hey kid, your name's Rohan Kishibe, isn't it?"
Rohan stared at the picture and slowly nodded his head. The photograph entered the building through the window and somehow laughed, "Finally! It took me three days but I found you at last! My dear Yoshikage will be glad I freed his friend so quickly!"
At that moment a small spirit resembling an old man in his mid-60s appeared outside the picture.
Rohan stared at the old man, was he dreaming? "Who are you?"
The man looked thoughtful for a moment, "Oh yeah, I should tell you my name. I am…"
"... Yoshihiro Kira. I thought you were dead." The kidnapper, still wearing the monster mask, stood next to the door, his eyes focused on the old man in the photograph.
“Well, Mansaku, fortunately death wasn't the end of me. I don't know what DIO told you to make you kidnap a child, and I couldn't care less, but it's over. He's coming with me.”
The kidnapper, Mansaku, laughed. “Heh, you seem too full of yourself. Grave mistake. I guess cancer couldn't teach you that lesson…”
Mansaku took off his mask, maybe he didn't consider it necessary as Yoshihiro already said his name, and smiled. “... so I have to do it myself. Pink Floyd.”
A green substance appeared and started covering Mansaku's arms, he then moved them forward, as if they were guns. Yoshihiro took a knife from the photograph, “Damn it, I knew I should have brought the camera with me. Rohan, stay back.”
Mansaku's arms started shooting green bullets. Yoshihiro's photograph dodged them all floating through the air towards Mansaku. Yoshihiro tried to stab him with the knife but he dodged it in time. “Mansaku, you know this is useless. You can't do anything to me, I'm already dead. You can't win.”
Mansaku smiled and turned his arm into a blade. “Really? What would happen if I tear that picture of yours apart? Let's see.”
He then launched himself towards Yoshihiro while wielding his arm-blade faster than what Rohan could see. Yoshihiro flew backwards as fast as he could and groaned after seeing that a quart of his photograph was no more. He then introduced his hand into the photograph and picked up a small camera. Mansaku stared in shock at seeing it, “Did-Didn't you say that you left the camera at home?”
Yoshihiro smiled and threw the camera towards Rohan, “I lied. Rohan, run to the stairs and take a picture of him.”
“The hell I am going to let you!” Mansaku started running towards Rohan. Rohan desperately grabbed the camera and tried to find the way to use it. Yoshihiro flew in and stood between Rohan and Mansaku.
Yoshihiro smiled, “Well Mansaku, looks like you are on the edge...” Next to them was the stairs and a fall of over twenty meters. “...and unfortunately you can't fly. Rohan, finish this.”
Rohan breathed deeply and grabbed the camera. “Rohan, stop!” Mansaku shouted.
CLICK
The picture was made. Mansaku stood still for a moment, in which Yoshihiro flew towards him and pushed him to the edge. He tried to use his Stand's green mass to stop the fall but Yoshihiro cut it with the knife. Rohan heard him screaming as he fell. Then a big noise below them.
And then silence.
Yoshihiro smirked, “Heh, that took a while. I can't believe he fell to that trick.” Rohan looked confused, “What did you do?”
“My Stand's camera allows me to trap people in photographs, so if someone takes a picture with it those who appear in the picture won't be able to move."
“But the camera you gave me was false, wasn't it?”
"Yes, but he believed it was the true one, and thankfully believed himself to be paralized."
Rohan was speechless, this whole experience was just too much. One day he is kidnapped by a man who has the power to regenerate, a power he named after a rock band. Three days later an old man inside a photograph arrives flying, fights the kidnapper and manages to defeat him thanks to his wit. This was the kind of bizarre story you would only see on fiction. This was the kind of story he wanted to tell in his manga.
Freed at last, Rohan and Yoshihiro walked down the stairs in order to leave the building. When they finally reached the ground floor Rohan could see the body of his captor laying on the ground covered in his Stand's green substance. He is still alive.
"Ignore him. Hopefully he will stay unconcious for a long while." Yoshihiro said while opening the last door.
Rohan nodded his head and followed Yoshihiro. Rohan could feel the fresh air around him as he left the building at last.
Suddenly an inhuman scream was heard behind them.
Rohan looked at Yoshihiro, "Did you hear that?"
Yoshihiro started sweating, "I felt that."
Slowly they turned around and looked at the monster staring at them. Half of his face was covered in green mass, his right arm was shaped to look like a scythe. The half of his face that still looked human was torn into a psychotic expression.
"My… sons… DIO might… He will hurt them… I can't… I can't fail… Keicho… Okuyasu…"
Yoshihiro stared at him, "Well, that's a tragic story but I don't recall asking."
The kidnapper turned his left arm into a blade. "KIIIIIIIIIIRAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH!!!"
The monster then started running towards Yoshihiro, still screaming. Yoshihiro wielded his knife, prepared to fight him again. It wasn't necessary, as the monster fell unconcious again a meter away from them.
"Well, that was anticlimatic. Come on Rohan, let's leave this place as fast as we can. Who knows how much will it take for his Stand to heal him completely."
Rohan followed Yoshihiro as they ran away from his captor's body. After they were far enough Rohan closed his eyes, recalling the events of these last three days. The experience will help him create a manga which will be adored by countless people. Rohan started thinking about the name he should give to the manga, eventually he found a good name and started giggling. Yoshihiro looked at him and raised his eyebrow.
"What are you saying kid?" Rohan smiled and looked back at the abandoned building where he was held kidnapped for three days.
"My manga shall be named Pink Dark Boy."
24 DAYS LEFT
