Chapter Text

Umbras: separate dimension from time and space

The sound of fists clashing echoed like thunder as a blue and white humanoid with insect like wings and red eyes slid across a rocky terrain, his two arms in front of his face forming a cross, his entire body covered in bruises and shallow cuts, having taken the blows of a number of warriors from across the multiverse attempting to prevent his rise to power, the last one now standing before him, a teen with brown hair adorned in silver and gold Knight armor with wings

"come on, seiya, bring it home..." a man with orange hair and torn black robes said as he watched from a distance, using a large sword to keep himself standing, joined by another man with blonde hair and blue eyes along with 

"I didn't wanna do this, prometheus" the teen spoke "you really did save me when this all started, so I'm giving you one last chance, stop this now"

The keyman grit his teeth as he raised a hand and a ball of yellow electricity took form 

"I intend to..."

Off to the sidelines, six people watched on as the three continued 

izuku midoriya and asta, two boys in their teens watched on in awe, midoriya having dark green hair and eyes and wearing a green, jump suit with black accents, white sleeves, black leg braces, a red utility belt and a metal respirator 

Asta having Ash-blonde hair caught in a black headband with the depiction of a bull skull on the front left, lime green eye's

Suddenly two men whom prometheus recognised from his eons watching the multiverse appeared , the current leader of the hidden leaf village, naruto uzumaki, and the substitute soul reaper, ichigo kurosaki, staring down at him

Naruto's skin, hair, boots, and cape were covered in a golden energy, while his shirt and pants took on a black color, his eyes took on orange colour with the pupils taking the shape of a narrow vertical slit crossed with a thicker horizontal slit

black markings worked their way down the left side of ichigo's face and neck, connected to a black circle in the centre of his chest, his left eye was yellow with black sclera, and a long white horn protruded from the left side of his head that pointed forwards, in his right hand was a blade nearly as tall as he was, the edge and back were encased in a white marble-like substance 

"you can't play with mortals' lives anymore, prometheus" naruto declared, 

"don't get me wrong, we appreciate you bringin us all together and helpin us out, but-" ichigo pointed the tip of his zanpakuto, tensa zangetsu, directly at the keyman's throat 

"we can't just let you rebuild the world how you want it to be" 

As I'm sure you're aware, dear reader, there are worlds that exist separate to our own, where the impossible is reality, they coexisted to both good and evil, these world's were never meant to meet, but thing's have since changed, and these worlds have merged

The ones responsible? The keyman, prometheus, he wished to remake these worlds in his image and rule them all as their new god, 

This event was called the convergence, and in its wake, chaos reigned, but instead of accepting their fates, the inhabitants of these universes would come together to fight as one for their survival and w ith the power of mortals, god's, monsters, and even demons working together, they managed to defeat prometheus as well as his followers, but unfortunately, they couldn't undo the damage done to their universes, which were now permanently fused into one

 A council was put in place, with a representative from each universe in order to successfully protect their new world from other threats, such examples being the frieza force, red ribbon army, otsutsuki clan, paranormal liberation front, dark triad, chimera ants, pirates, and kara to name a few

As time past the world became more and more chaotic, d espite this, the heroes that saved the multiverse continue to rise to the occasion, and have triumphed over these odds time and time again, growing stronger with each battle though not as one like before

"damn you, prometheus...!!" 

A woman with blue skin and horns on her forehead growled as she paced around a dark room with blue lights, activating and looking at different monitors while ranting to no one but herself

"I tried to warn you, WE ALL DID" 

She stopped at a console and input a command, bringing up a holographic feed of something humanoid catching fire as it entered the atmosphere

"our job was to watch over the multiverse, NOT FUSE PARTS OF IT TOGETHER" 

She turned her head to another feed, this one showing the ensuing chaos of the convergence that took place one year ago,

"did you think they wouldn't notice this?! Did you have any idea what you were going to unleash?! were you thinking of anything other than yourself...?!"

She turned back to the feed, the object beginning to dissappear into the clouds 

"you've doomed us all..." 

Olympus: main headquarters for jump forces Japanese branch

"THE HELL IS THAT?!!" a teen with orange hair and sharp teeth screamed as the ground shook violently, causing him to fall off the top bunk of the bed he'd been laying on, followed shortly by the sound of an alarm went off throughout the entire building 

"one way to find out, come on!!!" another teen with green hair ordered as he darted out the door and into the hallway,

"right behind ya!!!" a teen with pink hair called out as he gave chase to the hero-in-training, leaving the first teen with another with dark red hair and eye's and a flame-like scar on his forehead who helped him to his feet

"we should hurry before they get too far ahead" the second teen said before unsheathing a black katana from his side and giving chase, leaving the devil hunter to follow suit

"damnit..."

In the lowest level of olympus, miles below ground in a dark room only illuminated by the light emanating off a large tank in the centre, which was filled with some kind of blue liquid,

Inside it was young man in his mid twenties with sickly pale skin, red eyes, shoulder length white hair, a scar on the left side of his mouth and another over his right eye, missing two fingers on his left hand, wearing nothing but a breathing apparatus that was connected to the top of the tank, a pair of restraints that prevented the use of his hands and torn black shorts

He could sense his nemesis above him, courtesy of one of the countless powers he'd been given after receiving all for one, the power to steal powers, granted to him by his master, if only so he could take his body for himself

He began to feel vibrations as the whole room began to shake violently, causing him to open his eye's with a cold expression, a single thought ran through his mind

'this will be fun...' 

Right outside the main building, a white and red humanoid machine lay still, it was around thirty metres tall with a slim body and largely out of proportioned arms, golden strands hung from the sides and back of its head, resembling hair, and a light blue horn protruded out of the middle of its forehead

Pieces of armour were missing, having been burnt away during the machines reentry, leaving some of the inner workings exposed, creating sparks every few seconds, while It's face, or at least a holographic depiction of a face with amber eyes and a mouth, flickered uncontrollably, while it's expression was a look of pain and worry 

The mecha looked up at the night sky and made an attempt to pick itself back up only to collapse under its own weight, a female voice crackled out two words before the face was dissolved into hexagonal pixels, leaving a blank slate with dead, pupilless eye's

"they're... Coming..."

One day later

olympus, the main headquarters for jump forces japanese branch,

Izuku midoriya stared at a screen showing the machine with a look of concern, a sense of foreboding washing over him as engineers practically climbed all over it

This was definitely the start of something bigger

"everything alright, deku?"

The hero-in-training turned to see another teen with pink hair wearing a black uniform with a red hood walk through the doorway,

yuji itadori was one of more recent additions to jump force, joining alongside some of his fellow sorcerers after what was called the shibuya incident, where Tokyo was almost overrun by cursed spirits, malevolent apparitions formed from cursed energy that all humans subconsciously generated, something midoriya as well as a vigilante by the name of chainsaw man prevented

"oh, y-yeah, sorry, its just" the hero clenched his fist in frustration "I don't like this, itadori" 

"yeah, welcome to the party" the sorcer shrugged

"the saints are off-world with son and vegeta, and kurosaki left to talk with the council about this, so if anything happens it'll be up to us to hold down the fort" 

"not a great day to be us, is it?" yuji said with a frown,

"no, it isn't"

Suddenly, another light source appeared as a panel pulled away, revealing a woman with white hair tied in a loose ponytail and an eyepatch covering her right eye, and a short and slightly overweight man with black hair and a labcoat behind a glass pane of sorts

"here he is" the woman announced unenthusiastically "all for one's successor and the paranormal liberation fronts' ringleader, tomura shigaraki"

"I've seen the damage... but I still can't believe he can actually do all of it" said the man

"not all of it" the woman corrected "he'd nothing to do with the shibuya incident, or the gun devil showing up again" 

"do they really want me to work on that monster...?!" he muttered

The pair continued to speak for what felt like hours, slowly but surely eating away at shigaraki's patience, before eventually snapping his head up to look directly at them with a mix of unbridled rage and insanity, 

The man jumped back in fear while the woman had a look of alarm on her face

"h-he can't hear us, right...?!"

"he... Shouldn't be able to..."

Soon enough, the pair left the room, leaving Shigaraki in darkness once again, and with the voice of his master in his head

"soon, tomura, we'll get our second chance, just wait a little while longer..."

'my darling is you, and you alone...' 

Hiro reached out as he woke up in a cold sweat, after calming down he noticed he was in a hospital bed, he couldn't explain why but something felt familiar to him, but he couldn't remember anything aside from his name, the words 'zero two' and 'darling' repeated over and over again in his head

'what's going on...?' he thought as he sat up 'why can't I remember anything...?'

He noticed an iv drip on his right arm covered by some kind of tape, he had a vague understanding of what it was

"I guess I'm supposed to take this off" he reached for the tube and winced from the small sting as he ripped it off

"that feels better..." he said to himself as the door opened to reveal a tall woman with shoulder length pink hair, green eye's, and a diamond shape in the middle of her forehead

"oh, good you're awake" she said with a smile

"where am I?" asked hiro

"you're at my hospital, I healed you myself actually, and for a broader answer, you're in konohagakure, the hidden leaf village" she answered 

"what happened to me?" he asked again

"well, we're not sure exactly, all we know is that you fell from the sky inside a giant robot and landed near the village, and you were found holding a girl in your arms like you were shielding her from the impact, I'll be honest I didn't think you'd wake up so soon" she explained 

"we were hoping you'd have some answers for us" 

Hiro frowned "I hate to say this, but I don't remember anything besides my name" 

The woman contemplated something before asking "and your name is?" 

"hiro" 

She smiled "nice to meet you hiro, I'm sakura haruno" 

"I might be asking a bit much, but can I see her? The girl, she might know something"

sakura thought it over "I suppose you could, your injuries are practically fully healed" 

Hiro smiled as he got off the bed "thank you" 

'I'm your partner, I'm not going to leave you all alone...'

Zero two awoke with a jolt, as if she was having a nightmare, but all she could remember were those word's

'who am I...?' she thought to herself as she sat up, she was in a hospital room, she couldn't explain why but it felt all too familiar to her,

for a few minutes she just sat there staring out the window, she could see two birds building a nest, one nuzzled the other as returned with a twig in its mouth,

'that must be nice...' she thought, 'I want something like that...' 

Her train of thought went as she heard a knock on the door, she paused, she didn't know what to do, was she supposed to answer? Or was she supposed to stay quiet?

She didn't have time to decide before the door was opened by a boy with black hair, blue eyes and two alluring blue horns, visibly taken aback from her being awake, her eye's widened as they locked with his 

Hiro didn't understand it, but he felt relieved to see her, zero two felt the same way, it was like they'd known each other their entire lives

"who are you?" she asked, 

"aha... I was kinda hoping you'd answer that for me" he stammered "I can't remember anything" 

"well, I hate to disappoint you, but I don't remember anything either, sorry..."

"don't be" he spoke up "we can figure out together" 

Zero two paused "w-wa?" 

"I'm hiro...whats your name?" he asked

"I... I think it's zero two..." she answered,

"you think...?" asked hiro confused "Well, it's the only thing I remember, so I'm guessing my name is zero two" she explained "is there something wrong with it?"

hiro waved his hand in denial "n-no, not at all, actually I rather like it" 

"really?" asked zero two, hiro nodded with a smile, causing zero two to giggle

"I like your horns" hiro tilted his head to one side in confusion "horns?" zero two nodded

"yeah, you've got blue horns on the top of your forehead" hiro placed his hand on his forehead and felt two edge's, she was right, he didn't mind though, it just meant they had something in common "well, I like yours too" he said

"what do you mean mine?" zero two asked "you've got horns too" hiro explained "yours are red though" zero two saw the horns in her reflection in the window, she didn't understand why, but something about them made her feel insecure, catching hiro's attention 

"don't worry, I'm not worried about mine, you shouldn't be worried about yours" said hiro with a smile as he took a step inside the room,

the two spoke for hour's, despite having no memories, they knew for certain they were close

Chapter Text

Clover Kingdom 

"you wanted to see us, captain yami?" said a teen with messy ash-blonde hair as he opened a door to smaller room,

he sported a small black cape with gold trimming and a depiction of a bull skull draped over his left shoulder, a white collared shirt with the left sleeve rolled up halfway, a brown leather glove that reached up his entire right arm and shoulder which was connected to a harness around his chest, black trousers and brown knee-high boots, while a small pitch black humanoid creature with bat wings, ram-horns, red eyes and messy white hair perched itself on his right shoulder

The older man across the room from him took a puff of a cigarette before speaking

"got a mission for ya" he started "yer bein summoned by the council, apparently something came up and they think it's the start of something bigger"

A sense of intriguement overcame the teen

"really? How big are we talking? elf levels of big? Devil's? King of devil's?" his eyes widened at a sudden realisation "GOD'S?!!" 

quickly he turned his head to the creature on his shoulder "LIEBE, DO GOD'S EXIST?!" 

"don't ask me, nobody told me nothing while I was in the underworld" it answered with a shrug

"would you relax?!" yami grunted in annoyance "no ones askin you to fight a god, they just need ya to head over to konoha and they'll explain what they need you to do" 

The teen sighed in relief before regaining his composure and giving the magic knight salute "right, I'll head out right away" he said before turning around to leave

"hold on now, I didn't say you could leave just yet, there's one more thing I gotta tell ya" yami called out, prompting him to turn back around "right, sorry sir, what is it?" 

Yami gave a smirk as he answered "surpass your limits..."

Asta responded with a smirk of his own before leaving the room, leaving yami to his devices 

"does he really have to say that everytime?" liebe grumbled

"come on, it's practically the black bulls' motto at this point, everyone's gotta say it" 

"asta, you're the only one aside from him who says it"

"what are you talking about? vice-captain nacht says it too" 

The pair bickered entered the main hall they noticed the rest of their guild looking over something on the table

"hey guy's, what are you looking at?" he asked as he walked over "this weird cube just appeared outside the front door" magna, one of asta's seniors, answered back, showing it to him

the cube was black in colour with electric blue glyphs in a language he couldn't understand written all over it

"you think its from the spade kingdom?" he asked, magna shook his head "nah, we saw some signs while we were there, language doesn't look anything like this" 

Asta looked at the cube intently, "could it be from the devil's?" 

"unlikely" the vice captain spoke up "none of my devil's are able to read it, and the letters are completely different, my guess is it's not from this world" 

Liebe stared as well before getting an idea "hey Nero, you think you can open it?" 

"I can try" the guild's sealing mage responded as she extended a hand causing a white glow to envelope the cube for a few seconds before dissipating "no luck, it must be some kind of item, like the ones lumiere and I used to work on" 

Asta looked back at the box "right..." he couldn't understand why , but he felt whatever the cube was had to be important "I'm sure we'll find out when liebe and I get back" 

This gained the rest of the bulls' attention "get back? you're going somewhere?" 

"yeah, liebe and I got some kind of mission so we'll be gone for a while" 

"how long is a while?" asked noelle, the water mage of the guild and royal of the clover kingdom

"dunno, all I know is that it might be a big one and we'll be out of the country for most of it, you'll all be able to hold down the fort while I'm gone though, right?" 

The royal's demeanour changed "o-of course, j-just don't get yourself killed out there, ok?" 

"don't worry, I'm the strongest mage in all four kingdoms, it's gonna take a lot to put me down" 

Some time Later

"KNOCK EM DEAD ASTA!!!" 

"sure thing, magna" 

"make sure to pack a lunch, la" 

"have it right here, charmy" 

"when you get back let's fight to the death" 

"maybe, but not to the death, luck" 

Asta was practically being fought over by each of bulls attempting to say their goodbyes, while Nero and liebe stood back

Liebe was now in his true form, the skin around his neck and face was pure white, say for black lines on both sides of his face that reached from his cheeks to barely over his eye lids, his eyes were red with black sclera and slits for pupils

"make sure he stays out of trouble" Nero said to 

"like I don't do that already?" the devil smirked, getting a soft smile out of the horned mage

"you take care as well"

Liebes face went slightly red "y-yeah..."

"oh for- will ya give the kid some damn space?!" yami called out to his squad, causing them to disperse, all except for noelle 

"good luck, asta, you'll need it out there without a royal such as myself to watch your back" the royal stated 'at least offer to bring me along, idiot'

"thanks noelle, but I think I'll manage" he responded confidently, unknowingly breaking the royals heart "come on liebe!!!" 

"yeah" liebe answered before turning to face Nero one last time "guess I'll see you when we get back"

"indeed" nero affirmed as liebe took a few steps towards asta before shrinking to a more compact size and propping himself on asta's shoulder once more

asta summoned a filthy looking book with a five leaf clover on the cover from his pouch, the book itself began to give off a red glow as it opened itself and flipped through page after page until asta reached his hand inside and pulled out a giant rusty great sword, layed it on the ground and placed his two feet on the flat of the blade, at which point it began to levitate

"ready liebe?" asta asked as they began to ascend "well considering I'm stuck with you I kinda have to be, don't I?"

"hehe, yeah I guess your right"

"let's show those fools what the fifth leaf means" liebe said with a devilish grin as the sword took off in the direction of their destination

Chapter Text

A teen with dark red hair stared aimlessly out of a window, viewing both konoha and his reflection, on the left side of his forehead was a scar resembling flames, his right eye which he could no longer see through was pink in colour and glossy, while his left was bright red, he wore a black and white jacket and pants underneath a green and black checkered hoari, and at his side was a katana with a guard shaped like a flame

it had been a few weeks since he first arrived here, everything looked so different to what he was used to, at least the village he could see below somewhat resembled ones he'd seen before in his time with the demon slayer corps, say for the seven stone faces carved into the side of the cliff on the other side of the village, and the giant vaguely human sized crater

"taking it all in?" 

He turned to where he heard the question and found a boy, slightly younger than him, he had blonde hair with blue eyes, four whisker like markings on his cheeks, a headband with a metal plate at the front with the symbol of the nation, the outline of a leaf, engraved on it, and white shirt and black and red pants along with a similarly coloured jacket

"y-yeah, it's just...I've never seen anything like this, so it's all pretty overwhelming for me" he explained 

The boy smirked "I can see why, even in our world technology is still fairly new, even my sensei still uses a falcon to deliver messages" 

A sense of nostalgia came over the older of the two "heh, you think that's bad? I used to be given orders by a crow" 

The boy stared at him in confusion "you were... Ordered around, by a crow...?" 

He laughed slightly "not exactly, you see, I used to be something called a demon slayer, we trained crows to report to one other, stuff like orders, updates, and passings" 

"ok, so did they have like, letters attached to then or something?" he asked

"no, they spoke" he answered, thinking nothing of it 

"that... Actually isn't the strangest thing I've ever heard" he said, causing the swordsman to laugh

"you don't know the half of it..."

The boy extended a hand "I'm boruto, boruto uzumaki" 

In response, tanjiro bowed his head "tanjiro kamado" 

"you're a samurai?" boruto noted 

"y-yeah, did you have them in your realm?" he asked excitedly 

"we did" boruto explained "but we don't exactly have the best history with them, being shinobi and all, ya know? " 

Tanjiro's eye's widened "a shinobi?!" 

"oh right, you probably don't know what that is, you see a shinobi is a--" boruto began to explain before tanjiro cut him off 

"n-no its alright, we had shinobi in my realm as well, it's just until now I've only ever met one other shinobi" tanjiro explained, taking boruto by surprise 

"you met a shinobi?! What were they like?!" he asked excitedly 

Tanjiro took a moment to remember "he was... Very flamboyant..." 

"did he mention any others?!" boruto asked again "do you think I can meet them" 

"I don't think so" he answered "in my realm most of them died out, say for the one I met, and he didn't mention if his family had an estate so they could be anywhere" 

Boruto looked down in defeat "I see... That's too bad..." 

Then he got an idea "hey, why don't I show you around? I've been all over this village so I know it like the bag of my hand" 

Tanjiro considered the offer 

"yeah, I think I'd like that"

Tokyo

A teen with orange hair dressed in a high school uniform made his way through an empty destroyed street, with a small girl with black hair and yellow eyes with ring patterns following close behind him, looking side to side

In the corner of his eye he could see cursed spirits, as that emergency broadcast had called them, but they were keeping their distance from the pair, he'd started seeing them not long after everything changed, so could she, hell they seemed to be terrified of her, always staying away and pushing further backwards whenever she moved

'must know what she can do...' he thought before placing his hand on his forehead to sooth a sudden wave of pain that washed over him

'curse'

'curse devil'

'curse sword'

'aki's sword'

It wasn't the first time this happened, he forced the memories down as usual, then noticed the girl staring up at him with her signature neutral expression, but he understood, after having her in his care for a few months he'd started to pick up on thing's

"I'm fine" he reassured her "just a bad memory, that's all"

Then he began to smell the scent of blood and turned around to see an unholy creature standing a couple yards away from them

It had rubbery purple skin, four tentacles that supported the main body with two more further up that served as its arms, each having a sucker on the end, it had no eyes, instead having massive lips with block like teeth and long black hair

"course it had to be the leech devil..." he muttered, if he could smell it from this distance, no doubt that it could smell them

Almost immediately his theory was proven correct when it started to sniff the air 

"stay here" he commanded before rushing the creature which roared once it noticed them while he reached into his shirt, revealing a ripcord which he was about to pull on

But before he got the chance, the leech devil was pulverised out of no where, sending blood and organs everywhere

"what the hel-"

"sleep"

The girl watched in confusion and disbelief as the boy spontaneously fell to ground and a young man, around the same age as him, with black hair, a loose white jacket, and a katana seemingly materialised out of nowhere and hurled her unconscious brother over his shoulder before noticing her 

"oh, sorry, you weren't meant to see that" he said while walking over to her with her brother in tow, allowing her to get a better look at him, he had tired eye's, seemingly from lack of sleep, not too different from her brother

"I need to borrow your brother for a little while, is that alright?"

she didn't know how to respond, he seemed nice enough, but there was something about him, something cursed, he felt the same as those ghosts that were always afraid of her, but far more powerful than any of them combined, she just stared up at him in disbelief

Taking this as a chance to continue the young man spoke again "it's not safe to be out here on your own, especially nowadays, why don't you join us? You'd be with your brother"

The girl considered her options, she didn't want to be alone, and she didn't want her guardian to be even more alone than he already was, he tries to hide but she can tell

She nodded meekly, prompting a smile from the man with her brother in his possession "great, follow me" he said as he began to walk off 

The girl ran to catch up with her brothers captor, the young man quickly looked back at the destruction caused in the skirmish and whispered

"try not to overdo it, rika..."

"does this have to do with that robot?" midoriya asked as the pair sat on a nearby rooftop, the news outlet having long since moved to something else

"afraid so" gohan answered "capsule corp found it on satellite a while ago and told us immediately, they're trying to figure out what it is for the time being" 

"we don't know how big this is, but I've a feeling we'll need all hands on deck, for all we know we could be looking at another venom war" he explained

"now I know you've got your hands full here but we really could use you, deku. heck we could even upgrade your gear if it helps" 

Midoriya looked at his mangled gauntlets, pieces were hanging on by a thread and stuck, it was a wonder how he didn't actually cut himself, with all the rust he'd get an infection

'no, we're needed here' said another voice

'there's no point in being the world's symbol of peace if there is no world to be a symbol for' midoriya argued

"look, I don't wanna rush you or anything but I'm gonna need you to make a choice real quick, since I'm not really supposed to be here" 

"alright, I'm in"

"hi, sorry about all this" was the first thing denji heard as he awoke

"the hell...?" he muttered as he tried to rub his eyes, only to find his arms had been tied behind a chair,

"I really didn't want to go about it like this, but the higher-ups didn't give me much choice" a young man with black hair explained with an awkward smile, sitting in a chair parallel to denji's 

"where am-" he was about to say until something crossed his mind and his eyes widened "where's nayuta?!" 

The young man raised his hands in reassurance "don't worry, she's fine, I made sure the higher-ups wouldn't lay a hand on her" 

Denji eyed him in confusion "uhh... Thanks...?" denji tried to think of a name only for them to answer for him

"yuta okkotsu: special grade sorcerer" 

"ah. Right. that guy" the former devil hunter stated bluntly before realising something

"wait, highers ups...? YOU MEAN PUBLIC SAFETY?!!" he panicked, he thought the public safety devil hunters were disbanded after everything with her

"oh no, I meant the higher ups of jujutsu society, although I'm pretty sure they're just as bad in all honesty,"

Denji stared at him in confusion "jujutsu...society...?"

Yuta nodded "we're jujutsu sorcerers, we use cursed energy to exorcise cursed spirits, the ghosts you and your sister started seeing after the convergence" 

Denji took a moment to process that information, then came to a realisation "they want me and nayuta dead cuz we're devil's, don't they...?"

"not exactly, after you killed the gun devil, you ended up on our radar" yuta explained

"we approached a few former devil hunters about taking on roles in our system, some agreed while others had already been picked up by the public safety commission, but one girl said you worked on your own" 

Denji cursed "dammit kobeni..."

"yeah her, you know each other?" okkotsu asked 

"we were in a division together, she tried to kill me to save herself" he explained nonchalantly "so you want me to work with you guys, no thanks" 

A disappointed and apologetic look formed on yuta's face as he sighed

"this is the part where you drop the nice act and start threatening me isn't it...?" denji asked cautiously 

"what?! No, this isn't an act, you see, the higher ups have their eye on your sister as well..."

Denji tensed up "what's she gotta do with this...?"

"they know she's the new control devil" yuta explained "after jump force beat prometheus and we all found our barrings, makima showed up, warning us to not interfere with her plans, I wasn't there at the time, but my sensei said it felt like she was as powerful as him, and anything that powerful that they can't control, they want to get rid of" 

The former devil hunter shuddered at the mention of his old boss, and the previous control devil

"the higher ups know what she's capable of, but they also want you to work with us, I told them if they executed her, you would rampage" 

"sounds about right" denji commented 

"so I gave them the idea of making you a deal, if you help us out, we'll leave you and your sister alone" 

Denji grit his teeth, on one hand, he's breaking the promise he made to himself to never be put on a leash again, but on the other, if he doesn't, the only family he has left dies

"it's a hard choice I know" yuta spoke up "I'm not proud of this either, but my higher ups are stuck in the past, hell she's not even the first person they've wanted to execute, if I were you I'd go with the choice that keeps her safe"

"just this once." Denji answered "I'll work with you guys just this once, but I'm not doing this for free, I wanna be set for life afterwards" 

"I'll see what I can do, I might be able to call in a favour from some distant relatives" yuta answered, his smile returning as he spoke

"what ya want help with anyway?" 

With that, yuta's demeanour changed, his smile had been replaced with a cold expression, as he stood up, in an instant, denji's restraints were severed, and the sorcerer standing before him was holding a katana, denji swore he could see large white hands hovering behind yuta's head

"we're killing the one responsible for the destruction of shibuya, ryomen sukuna. "

"I'm starting to think we didn't think this all the way through" liebe said in the back of asta's mind "couldn't we have just asked finral to send us there?"

"finral can only create portals to places he's been to before" asta explained "and we're too far away to turn around now"

Asta could hear liebe groan in frustration

"come on we're already at the edge of the border to the spade kingdom, we'll be there in no time"

Liebe grunted in response before asta spoke up again

"remember the fight with lucifero?"

"yeah, I'll never forget the look on his face, why?" liebe asked

"I don't know, it's probably nothing, it's just feels like we turned the tables on him too quickly, one minute he's beating us to a bloody pulp, next thing we know we're staring down at him on the ground, it's almost like we awakened something"

"yeah, we did, true devil union, the standard one feels like we're overlapping, true devil union is where we're literally one, and we haven't been able to do it since, what's your point? " 

"I know, but still, the standard union is supposed to let me use all your power for five minutes, and that barely did jackshit to him, then we unlock true union and suddenly we win, the only way we could've pulled that off is if true union unlocked something else"

Liebe went silent for a moment

"liebe?"

"sorry, its just weird hearing you come up with something that actually gets me thinking, I wouldn't worry about it right now, we'll ask nacht about it when we get back"

Konoha

Hiro and zero two had been wandering the village for some time now, after being discharged they were given new sets of clothing since all they originally had were the bodysuits they were found in

Hiro now sported a black flight jacket and pants with similarly coloured army boots while zero two wore a white variant along with a red scarf

The village itself looked more like a city instead of the isolated village compiled entirely of shinobi that sakura had told them about, hiro could see skyscrapers above the seven faces carved into the side of a mountain

"alright, I've decided, there's nothing to do here." zero two declared 

Hiro sighed in exasperation "why don't we just get some food?" 

"we've no money."

"ok, that's true, what about...?" 

"darling, I just said there's nothing to do" 

Out of nowhere, hiro felt a sharp pain in his head, causing him to buckle as if he was about to get sick

"what's wrong?!" 

"I don't... Know..."

He began to see flashes of zero two in a forest towering over him, no, he was on the ground and she was standing, something was different about her, like she felt wiser, she extended out a hand to him and said something, but he couldn't hear anything, anything aside from 

"DARLING!!" 

Hiro then found himself back in konoha sitting on a bench, with zero two standing in front of him with a worried expression

"oh thank god..." she sighed relief "don't do that again."

"so, what do ya think of konoha?" boruto asked

"it's more like home than I thought..." tanjiro answered fondly "minus all the technology, and I thought tokyo in my realm was a lot to take in" 

"hey do you hear something? 

Suddenly a loud crash was heard and a voice called out, one midoriya and boruto hadn't heard in almost a year 

"FINALLY WE'RE HERE, NOW THAT WASN'T TOO LONG WAS IT?!! OK YEAH IT WAS A BIT OF A CRASH LANDED BUT THAT'LL SORT ITSELF OUT!!!" 

Asta opened the door in front of him to see the trio staring at him in shock

"oh hey guys, long time no see"

"a-asta?!" midoriya said out loud 

Tanjiro felt a sense of familiarity as the image of a man with a boar mask and two jagged swords popped into his head when he saw asta 

"I haven't seen you in ages" asta said as he walked over, then he noticed the state midoriya was in 

"my god, what happened to you...?"

"you bring a few versions of Japan from across the multiverse together, they'll bring their problems with them..." midoriya sighed 

Asta looked at midoriya with sympathy, and midoriya returned a tired gaze before noticing asta's right arm was now black with faintly glowing red markings 

"what happened to the your arm?!" he asked

Asta raised his arm for midoriya to see while he explained "I was in a fight with another devil host and was in over my head, so I had to make a deal with the devil in my grimoir, he gave me more power, and in return he took my arm" 

"he took your arm?" midoriya asked

"yeah, that's how devil contracts work, they'll help you out if you give them something in exchange" asta explained 

"wait, so you just gave up a piece of yourself to a devil?" midoriya asked again

"ok, now I know that sounds bad b-" asta tried to explain before midoriya cut him off

"BAD?! asta we don't know what that thing is capable of, for all we know it could be taking more pieces of you without you knowing, then we'd have to fight that devil using your body as a puppet and-" 

Out of nowhere, midoriya's mouth was covered by a black hand which belonged to a lanky humanoid around the same height as asta with white hair, bat-like wings and ram-like horns

"relax, even if that was how contracts worked, I'm not like that, hell if I could undo it I would, asta and I share the same goal" it said as it removed its hand from midoriya's face

Midoriya realised that his danger sense never went off when this creature appeared, meaning it wasn't a threat

"oh that's right" asta then gestured to the creature as if he were presenting him to the others, "everyone, this is liebe, he's the devil in my grimoir, he's helping me reach my goal of becoming the wizard king and protecting my country" 

"sup"

The three stared at liebe before asta turned his attention to the sword holstered on tanjiro's hip, his eyes widened at the sight, he recognised it

"that's a katana, isn't it...?" he asked in shock, taking tanjiro by surprise

"y-yeah, did you have them in your realm?"

Asta chuckled slightly remembering the past "yeah, my captain used one actually, said it was a weapon from his homeland, the land of the rising sun..."

Tanjiro's jaw dropped "that's a name my country goes by"

Asta's eyes widened "really?! D-did you have magic in your world too?"

"n-not exactly, we had demons who could do things that could be described as magic" tanjiro explained before unsheathing his katana, revealing a coal black edge, while the back of the sword was silver

"but I guess this could be called magic"

tanjiro took a deep breath, his grip on the handle tightened, and in moments, the back of the blade turned bright red

Midoriya turned around after feeling the heat emanating from the blade, catching sarada's attention as well 

"woah..." she muttered under her breath

"that does look like magic, but there's only one way to test that" 

Asta outstretched his right hand "can I?"

Tanjiro nodded, asta slowly ran his hand across the blade, and as it passed, the blade reverted from red back to it's original steel colour

"yep, that's magic alright, a lot different than the magic I'm used to but no doubt about it" he said while staring at his hand, it felt warm, like he had held it up to a fire, whatever this magic was, it was powerful

"how did you do that...?" asked midoriya mesmerised

"it's... A long story" tanjiro answered vaguely

"oh, sorry I didn't catch your names" said asta

"tanjiro kamado" 

"sarada uchiha" 

Asta's ears perked up at this "uchiha? Like sasuke uchiha?" 

Sarada nodded "yeah, he's my father"

"perfect, your all here" a voice called out

Everyone looked in the direction the voice came from and saw a man in his mid twenties with blue hair wearing a blue denim jacket and red scarf with a sword holstered on his back 

"naruto's been expecting you all"

"it's been a while, you two" the man said as he led the group down a hall, referring to midoriya and asta

"yes it has, trunks" midoriya answered 

"wait a minute, wasn't your hair lavender last time?" asta asked

"yeah, I actually don't know how that happened" trunks answered

"who's he?" whispered tanjiro 

"that's trunks" sarada whispered back "he's lord seventh's right hand, as well as one of the strongest fighters here" 

Tanjiro started at trunks in admiration, he could almost feel a golden aura coming off of him

"I can tell you've both gotten stronger since the last time we met" trunks said to the pair

"thanks" midoriya looked at the broken gauntlet on his right arm "but it'd be nice if the hardware was able to keep up..."

Trunks noticed this and got an idea "you know, I could pull some strings to give you an upgrade, I do have ties to capsule corp" 

Midoriya's face lit up "that'd be great, thank you" 

An evil grin formed on asta's face "you know, I've been looking for someone strong enough to spar with to test my devil union, preferably another swordsman" 

trunks chuckled "I figured you'd say that, asta" he said as he placed his hand on a panel which lit up as it scanned his palm 

"but I don't think you'll have the time, this is pretty important" 

The door slid open revealing naruto standing behind a large screen, flanked by hiro and zero on each side 

Asta gave the salute of the magic knights at the sight of him while sarada and tanjiro bowed their heads in respect

"it's been a while, lord seventh" midoriya said, causing naruto to chuckle slightly "please izuku, we saved the multiverse together. I think we're beyond you using my title"

"ok... Naruto" midoriya responded pleasantly surprised as the hokage turned his attention to asta

"I see you made peace with your devil asta, well done" he noted, causing asta to relax slightly

"what's your name?" he asked, taking liebe off guard

"uh... L-liebe, sir"

"welcome to jump force, liebe" liebe didn't know how to react, this was the third person to accept him unconditionally, though it may have something to do with the fact naruto was something of a devil host himself

"your probably wondering why I asked you both here" naruto began as a hologram emerged from the screen behind him showing some kind of mech

Asta was reminded of the legend's of the valkyrie he'd hear when he was younger by the image of the mech

"a few days ago, this robot fell from the sky, carrying these two inside" naruto gestured to hiro and zero two who both stepped forward, getting a familiar feeling from the small hologram

"what happened?" asked tanjiro

"we don't really know..." hiro explained, feeling ashamed

"we can't remember anything" zero two added

The four took pity on the pair as naruto continued

"from what we can tell, the technology is too advanced to be from any of our earth's, but its armor exists on the periodic table, which can only lead to one thing; this mech, as well as these two, are from another universe"

The pair looked at naruto in shock then back at the group,

"welcome to the party, I suppose" midoriya shrugged

"wait, so then why didn't they help out in the war with the venoms?" asta asked

"it might be the same case as the devil hunters and the jujutsu sorcerers, their universe probably didn't merge with ours until after prometheus died" sarada explained

"exactly, and a new universe could mean more threats, bulma says the mech is built for war and I want answers" naruto added

"so what do you want us to do?" asked tanjiro "I might not understand all this but if it means protecting my family I'll do anything you ask me to"

Naruto smirked "glad you asked that" suddenly seven holographic orbs materialised, each having a different set of stars, midoriya, asta, and sarada's eye's widened 

"the dragon balls..."

"correct. If there's any new threats to earth out there, we need to know about them, the convergence might have weakened their power, but surely restoring memories is still on the table"

Naruto pulled a device out from under the table and threw it to midoriya

"is this what I think it is?!" he asked

"yep, it's a dragon radar, it'll tell you exactly where the dragon ball is"

"hold on for one second" zero two spoke up "what do you mean different universes? What are the dragon balls? And how does this help us remember anything?!!"

"short version; we're all from different universes and a year ago this blue guy named prometheus brought all our worlds together to try and recreate them in his image and tried to manipulate us by gathering us altogether to form jump force while pretending to be someone else named director glover, after we found out we stopped him and we've been stuck with each other ever since" sarada explained

"and the dragon balls are mystical artifacts from one of the Universes that were merged that grant wishes to whoever collects all seven

Hiro went quiet for a few moments "ok that's a lot to take in"

"eh, it's not too bad, having a lot more hands on deck really helped with the assault on the spade kingdom" asta shrugged "you've still got Morris locked up right?"

"yep, hasn't moved since he was brought in" naruto affirmed, giving asta a satisfied grin

"you should all get ready to move out, the nearest dragon ball is Italy, that's your starting point, we're arranging for you to meet someone there"

The four turned to leave

"we won't let you down sir"
