Wild Ones

Summary:

Alternative universe - Omegaverse. To survive a plague, humans underwent hybridization, a process that had some unexpected results. Ohma Tokita was raised by a human and for a long time took suppressants to stave off the effects of the animal like heats that hybrids in the world dealt with. He heads to Tokyo to The Mansion and meets up with hybrids for the first time in his life. He's introduced to the world of hybrids by a sudden interest from someone almost immediately.

Chapter 1: Searching for Something Unnamed

Chapter Text

Ohma Tokita stood outside the massive building in Tokyo. He’d come quite a way to get here, and he was hoping to find what he was looking for. It certainly smelled of other hybrids, he thought as he wrinkled his nose a little, nearly overwhelmed by those scents. He reached up and scratched at the wolf ears that sat on top of his head, pure black in color, matching his seaweed wavy hair. His wolfish eyes scanned the building, spotting people going in and out of it. He huffed a breath and wondered what this place used to be like before there was a hybrid district. It was only about thirty years ago that the world was a completely different place.

There had been an accident. No one knew who had caused it, just that it happened. A bioweapon was released somehow, and it resulted in an intense plague that spread all over the world. It was quick to spread, and even quicker to kill those it infected, leaving researchers scrambling for any solution to the problem. One option they found was in animals. They didn’t contract the quickly mutating virus, seeming to be immune to it. Vaccines were ineffective due to the fast changes in the virus, and it claimed many, many lives.

Finally, researchers came up with an option. Hybridization. Taking the animal traits and transferring them to humans became the only viable way of doing it. It was done on a basis of volunteer only, but those who underwent the transition were completely immune to the virus and thrived in a world where seventy percent of the population had been decimated by this plague.

Pockets of humans remained, of course, those that closed their borders and refused to allow entry to anyone. With the speed of the virus, it was easy to keep closed populations safe. They had to be extremely proactive and very few were able to do so. Eventually, though, with the hybrids surviving without contracting the devastating plague, they were able to reopen.

That was thirty years ago, and now society was just beginning to rebuild. One unexpected result of the hybridization process had been the fact that the new hybrids bred quickly, mostly because both male and female child bearers were created. These were called omegas, and as the world changed, they became the most numerous of the hybrids. Another group, the alphas, were able to impregnate the omegas, no matter if they were male or female. Of course, the smallest group was the third, that of the betas. Betas were rare, but they were fertile in both fashions, able to impregnate others and able to bear young themselves.

Ohma was an alpha. For the last few years, he’d been on heat suppressants. Like animals, hybrids went through phases where they were extremely fertile and had the need to mate. These phases happened on a cycle individual to the hybrid. For some, it came three or four times a year, for others, once every two years or so. All hybrids, alphas, betas, and omegas, went through this, but there were heat suppressants that they could take if they were unmated. Unfortunately, some hybrids suffered life threatening side effects from the hormones building up and poisoning them. That had been Ohma’s problem, and he could no longer avoid this time in his life. His best bet was to find an omega or two to mate with, and thus have someone to get through the heat period with.

That was what had led him to go to Tokyo. He’d heard there was a thriving hybrid community and they welcomed those who needed to find mates to their number. This place, a large gathering place run by a hybrid named Rino Kurayoshi. Ohma had found out through looking into the place, she was a honeybee hybrid, one of the later advances in the hybridization process. The place was simply called “The Mansion” and it was a home that had been converted into a gathering place for hybrids. It was supposed to be the place to go if someone wanted to find available mates of any sort.

Ohma walked up to the door, and it was opened immediately by a butler of some sort. He asked to take Ohma’s coat and said he would return it when he left. Ohma handed it over and was directed inside. There were people milling about the open areas of the place, and music played at a moderate volume, loud enough to be heard without interfering in conversations. There was a large bar against one wall, and Ohma saw a white-haired bartender with a pair of cat-like ears on top of his head. He came up to the bar and sat down next to a couple women, one who appeared human. Of course, non-mammalian hybrids weren’t as easy to spot, as they weren’t equipped with the tail and ears like ones like Ohma were. He thoughtfully sniffed the air and thought she was human, though. The other one had a fluffy squirrel tail and ears on her head.

“Hello, friend,” the bartender said, coming over. He wore a black waistcoat and a bow tie with a white button up shirt and black pants. The pants, of course, accommodated the long, white and black spotted tail that swung behind him.

“Hey there,” Ohma said, adjusting in the seat to accommodate his own tail. Since he was born with the tail, it had been natural for him his entire life, but he imagined older hybrids had a tough adjustment thirty years ago when they were transformed.

“What can I get for ya?” the bartender asked.

“Ah, just a beer.” Ohma glanced over beside him and heard the women talking about their bosses.

“I just got some time off unexpectedly,” the human one of them said. She had black hair that was bobbed around her shoulders. “She wants to spend time with her new daughter and her omega.”

“Oh, that sounds nice,” the hybrid said with a nod.

“I worry, though, that she’ll call at any time with some demand,” she said sighing.

The bartender sat the beer down in front of Ohma, getting his attention. “You’re new around here. I’m Ryo Himuro.”

“Ohma Tokita,” Ohma said, sipping his drink and eyeing him. He smelled like an omega or a beta. Perhaps a beta because the smell was a little off, and he hadn’t yet been around any of them.

“Come to town looking to find an omega, by your scent,” he stated, wiping down the bar with a rag.

“Yeah, I was on suppressants, but had a bad reaction,” Ohma explained.

“That happens to a lot of us,” Ryo said with a sigh. “I suppose you’re looking for information, huh?”

“If you have any, I’d appreciate it. I find the whole thing tedious.”

Ryo smirked. “Well, if you’re up for a challenge, my buddy Rihito is an unclaimed omega. But he has a dream of a hot female alpha claiming him.”

Beside him, the squirrel hybrid turned and rolled her eyes. Ohma sighed. “I don’t know if I want that much effort to go into it,” he said thoughtfully.

“I know Shion Soryuuin has a new hybrid living and working for her, but I don’t know if they’re an alpha or omega.”

“Hmm, I wonder,” he said with a sigh.

“Setsuna! Where are you going?” he heard from behind him. He turned and saw a hybrid coming toward him. He looked like a tiger hybrid by the striped ears and tail he sported, and Ohma was hit full force with the pheromones coming off him.

“You smell nice,” he said, coming up to Ohma and looking him over with yellow cat eyes.

Ohma looked him over as well, seeing he was fit, strongly muscled, and definitely in the middle of an intense heat by the scent coming off of him. He turned, backing up to Ohma and rubbing his ass against him. Ohma reached out and grabbed him by the hips, stopping his motions and pulling him back more into his lap.

“No!” a woman came over and looked at them. “Not out here!”

“Shion!” this Setsuna whined. “He smells so good!”

“I think I get it now,” the woman, who wore her red colored hair loose around her shoulders. She wore a suit that accentuated her large breasts and showed them off. Beside her was a, dark haired hybrid who looked a bit worried as she looked at Setsuna. Ohma could smell that she was a claimed omega, by the tail, some sort of canine.

Shion looked at Ohma. “You looking for a mate?” she asked.

Ohma nodded, still holding Setsuna’s hips against him. He was still writhing, and it was giving him an incredibly painful erection in his tight pants.

“Well, Setsuna just took an omega, but it looks like he’s a beta after all. Ryo, put a room for them on my tab,” she said, turning to the bartender.

Ryo nodded. “Up the stairs, take the right one, and the first room on your left,” he said to Ohma. Setsuna was not listening, instead writhing on Ohma’s lap still.

Ohma got up and grabbed him by the hand, pulling him toward the stairs. Setsuna turned and waved at Shion, then followed after Ohma. Ohma had never taken an omega or a beta before, but he was sure it couldn’t be that difficult. After all, it was just sex, he thought. Nothing more. He didn’t have to claim him, he could just use him to get through the heat. But that thought didn’t sit right as he took the stairs, resisting the urge to leap them two at a time, dragging the beta behind him.

“Oh, wait a minute, Tomoko!” they heard and Ohma turned to realize that the dark-haired hybrid was trying to go with them and Shion was stopping her. He shook his head and continued.

Finally, they got into the room and Ohma realized that this was going to be intense because the smell was going to his head and his cock in equal measure.

“You sure you want to do this?” Ohma asked, panting a little as Setsuna turned around, pushing his long black hair behind his ears.

“Oh yeah, I am,” Setsuna said, starting to unbutton the shirt he was wearing. “I need you.”

Ohma growled, pulling his t-shirt over his head. He wasn’t sure about this but now that the moment was here, he could understand what all they hype of heat sex was. There was an intensity about it that he hadn’t imagined.

Setsuna came up to him and placed both hands on his chest, smiling as his fingers traced the muscles that were pronounced there.

“You’re very fit,” he mumbled. “That’s nice.”

Ohma nodded. “You too,” he said, appraising Setsuna’s strongly built body. It was obvious he took care of himself, and he was in impressive shape.

Setsuna reached for the button on Ohma’s pants and undid it with deft fingers. He reached inside and pulled him free and hummed in appreciation, apparently satisfied with his size as he took him in hand. Ohma groaned a little to have someone else touch him like this.

“You’re a good size,” Setsuna said. “You’ll feel nice, I think. Fuck me, now, no waiting. Just do it. Knot me and make me pregnant.”

Ohma’s eyes widened a bit at that. “You sure you want that?”

“Oh yeah, give me your everything, Ohma. I want to carry your baby. Breed me.”

Ohma’s patience was about at an end as he said that. He pushed Setsuna back toward the bed and pushed him down on it. Setsuna was already getting out of his own pants, sliding them down over his hips. Setsuna, as a beta, seemed to be equipped, his own cock engorged and dripping. One part of Ohma wanted to take the time to suck him off once, which considering he’d never done anything like that, he thought was strange. But the bigger part of him wanted to just fuck him in a hot, frenzied moment. He chose the latter.

“Turn over,” Ohma demanded, stroking himself as he watched Setsuna writhe on the bed.

Setsuna rolled over, sticking his ass back and shaking it slightly. Ohma growled deep in his throat and stepped forward, grabbing him by the hips and pressing against him, cock sliding against him. He grabbed himself and slipped against Setsuna’s entrance, finding it slick with lubrication. He’d heard of the self-lubrication, but this was his first time seeing it.

He pressed forward, breeching him easily. Setsuna moaned loudly, grabbing the sheets and pressing back on Ohma’s cock. It was slick and warm and tight. It felt amazing inside him, and he began thrusting hard and fast into him, setting him to moaning loudly.

“More! Harder!” Setsuna told him as bounced back against him.

Ohma nodded, increasing his pace, finding that he seemed to like it a bit rough. He dug his nails into his hips, clutching him tightly.

“You feel so good, Setsuna,” he said, slowing a bit to tease him. “I’m going to knot you and claim you as mine, okay? So, you’ll be mine to fuck as I please.”

“Yes, oh yes, claim me as yours, show the world who I belong to!” Setsuna said, pressing against him again.

Ohma leaned over his back, slowly thrusting into him as he licked the back of his neck where his hair had fallen forward. He reached around and grabbed his cock, sliding his hand along the dripping length and making him moan even more. He felt different, like a building sensation that he didn’t expect, and he had to guess it was the knotting that was coming. He pressed in as deep as he could and felt his cock begin to swell at the base. Setsuna moaned loudly, falling forward onto the bed, unable to hold himself up any longer. Ohma leaned down and bit down suddenly into the back of his neck.

“Oh, that’s it…” Setsuna breathed.

Ohma felt the coming orgasm unlike any ever before. It tingled every part of his body as he came into Setsuna, knot in place now. He felt Setsuna’s cock throb as he too, came. He released the bite and leaned back, thrusting his hips a little, though unable to move more than an inch or little more. It seemed to take a while, but after a few minutes, and two more orgasms, the knot began to dissipate, allowing him to pull out.

Setsuna moved, collapsing on the bed to the side of where he’d come. Ohma stood up, panting a little for breath, seeing his essence dripping out of Setsuna’s body. It was strangely erotic to see, he had to admit.

“Oh, good gods, and I thought claiming an omega was intense…” Setsuna gasped out.

Ohma tucked himself back in his pants and buttoned them before setting down beside him on the bed. He reached out and ran his hand through his hair slowly. “You good?”

“Oh, I’m more than good,” Setsuna looked at him with a cockeyed grin.

Setsuna sat up suddenly and grabbed Ohma’s face, pulling him into a kiss. Ohma, surprised, responded, sliding his tongue out and slipping it inside his mouth. Setsuna kissed him for a long time, slowly exploring his mouth and then pulled back.

“My alpha,” he said, winking at Ohma.

“My beta,” Ohma answered, sliding a hand down to his belly. “You think you’re going to carry my baby now?”

“You knotted me. I’m sure of it,” Setsuna answered, getting up and getting dressed again.

Ohma grabbed his t-shirt and slipped back into it. They entwined their hands and came out of the room together, going back downstairs. They found that Shion and the other hybrid had left. Ohma was curious as to why she’d tried to come upstairs with them.

“Why did your omega try to come with us, anyway?” he asked as they found a place to sit. He thought perhaps it was a jealousy thing or something.

“Oh, Tomoko is a fujoshi.” Setsuna didn’t elaborate.

“What’s that? I’ve never heard the word before,” Ohma said, ordering a drink for both of them.

“She likes to look at and read about men having sex with each other. She musta thought she was gonna get a live show,” Setsuna explained, sipping his drink.

“So, now that we’re mated, tell me about yourself?” Ohma said, looking at him. “I mean, things were kind of rushed and happened quickly, and I don’t know anything more than your name.”

Setsuna sighed, looking over to him, as if gauging how much to say. “I was in another hybrid community, but there were some bad people in it, so I left. Shion gave me a job, she was the one with the red hair that I was with.”

Ohma nodded. “I haven’t been around many hybrid communities. I was raised in the country by a man named Niko Tokita.”

At the mention of the name, Setsuna looked at him a little sharply. Ohma tilted his head to the side, but just as quickly, his look faded. He didn’t make any comment, so Ohma just discounted it.

They sat there in companionable silence for a while, just enjoying the aftermath of their mating, when they heard commotion nearby. They didn’t think anything of it, but kept their attention on their own table, ignoring whatever was going on in the place.

“Oh, you’re new!” they heard and looked over to see an absolutely stunning woman with a dark-haired man.

Ohma didn’t recognize them, but they came over. She had delicate looking antenna on her head, and he appeared to be some kind of bird hybrid based on his feathered features.

“Hello?” Ohma said, frowning at the woman.

“I’m Rino Kurayoshi. And this is my omega, Rei Mikazuchi,” she said. “This is my place, and I welcome you both. But especially, you, Setsuna. Shion and Tomoko are still here, and I talked to them a few minutes ago. I’m very grateful to have another beta in the community,” she said with a smile.

Setsuna looked at her a little strangely, as though not sure how to respond. “Uh, thank you,” he said after a few seconds of searching for the answer.

She looked over at Ohma. “I’m sure you’ll be looking for some other omegas to fulfill yourself,” she said. “I choose to only have one, but there are several unattached omegas around here that I’m sure would make you good mates.”

“Oh, well, I’m not sure if I’ll take another omega or not, but I’ve been thinking about it,” he said, cutting his eyes at Setsuna. When Setsuna didn’t react to that statement he nodded and looked back at Rino. “This is all new to me. I was on suppressants until recently.”

“Ah, you had the suppressant poisoning, did you?” she nodded. “I know many who have gone through that. It just is so hard with the population as low as it is these days, you know. But that’s why us hybrids tend to group together. We help each other and find ways to increase our numbers.”

“Yeah, I’m seeing that. I was raised by a human man, so a lot of this is new to me,” Ohma explained.

“Well, we always welcome a good, strong alpha to our ranks,” she said with a wink. “But I’m most happy to add Setsuna to our number. Another beta is so rare!”

Setsuna looked a little uncomfortable, and instead took a drink.

“Well, thank you, I appreciate the welcome,” Ohma told her.

Rino smiled and left with Rei trailing behind her, but he did give a backward glance at Ohma and Setsuna. He waved at Ryo, needing another drink. Ryo came over in a couple seconds with another drink for both Ohma and Setsuna. He put a hand on Setsuna’s shoulder.

“Hey, don’t worry about people around here,” he said. “I’m a beta too, and things here are good for us,” he said with a wink before he left.

Setsuna looked after him but didn’t say anything, leaving Ohma to wonder exactly what was going on with that. He thought he would leave it, though.

“You’re back!” he heard and looked to see the two from earlier. Shion and Tomoko, if he remembered correctly. Tomoko came over and hugged Setsuna. Setsuna hugged her back, smiling at her.

“Yeah, hey, I feel a lot better now that that’s over,” he said with a sigh.

“Shion said that you would,” Tomoko said as she sat down across from them.

Shion sat down, too. “Well, it seems like Setsuna’s little family is increasing,” she said with a smile.

Setsuna looked at her and nodded. “Ohma, I guess I’ll officially introduce my friend, Shion, and my omega, Tomoko,” he said. “This is Ohma.”

“Nice to meet you both, now that things have calmed down,” he said with a smirk.

“Yeah, guess now we have to find someplace for you to live. Are you planning on taking any other omegas?” she asked, looking across at him.

“Well, I haven’t decided. I know there are other available omegas in the area, it’s just a matter of if they’re compatible to me,” he said with a glance over at Setsuna. “I guess compatible to us, really, since we’ll be a sort of family.”

“I don’t mind, more hands to take care of the coming babies,” Setsuna said, looking over at Tomoko. “I don’t doubt one will come out of that claiming.”

“Hmm, I do know an old apartment building,” Shion said thoughtfully. “Let me look into it. It’s sitting vacant right now, and I know the owner. I might be able to see if it could be used for your purposes,” she said with a nod.

Ohma nodded back, taking a drink and looking around the table. This was so strange to him. He’d just arrived, and he’d already built a family. Was this what it was like to be a hybrid? He knew Niko had done his best to raise him, but there were things a human just couldn’t teach him. He had a lot to learn.

Chapter 2: New Faces

Chapter Text

Kazuo Yamashita was human, but he worked for another human named Nogi who was interested in making an alliance with hybrids. He was also interested in their living situations, especially since they were so much different from regular humans. Yamashita was a little nervous about the situation, as when hybridization was happening, he’d chosen not to undergo the process, feeling like it wasn’t something for him. However, that fact left him curious about those that had undergone it, and how they lived their lives. Of course, since thirty years had passed, it was many of the children of those original hybrids that were populating the world so heavily.

So, now he stood outside “The Mansion” which was a hub of the hybrid community in Tokyo. He wasn’t sure how accepting they were of strangers; he just had to hope they wouldn’t throw him out immediately. He fiddled with the sleeve of his light jacket and then walked into the building.

The inside was gorgeous, and obviously this was indeed a mansion. But it was empty of everyone save a white-haired man at a bar toward the side. Yamashita approached, hoping it would be a good encounter.

“Hi there!” the bartender said, waving at him.

“Um, yeah, hi there. I’m Kazuo Yamashita. I came to the Mansion to talk to people about hybrids…” he said nervously.

The bartender smiled. “Well, you came to the right place. I’m Ryo Himuro.”

Yamashita smiled in return, noting his white and black spotted cat ears and the tail he sported. Obviously, a mammalian hybrid.  “Uh, yeah, I was expected more people. Er, hybrids.”

Ryo looked around and nodded. “Everyone’s out back. There’s a fighting match going on. Head out that door,” he said pointing, “and you’ll find everyone.”

Yamashita nodded and headed toward the door. Beside it, there was a table with some magazines laid out on it. He started glancing through them and realized that they were hybrid related. Some of the headlines were a bit bold, he thought. “How Many Omegas is Too Many?” and “First Time Knotting - How to Do It Right” and “Heat Suppressants - Which to Use, Which to Avoid” were a few of them.

“Those are adult magazines,” came a small voice.

Yamashita turned to see a boy with a long, fluffy squirrel tail and a pair of small brown ears on his head. He was looking at him with curious animal-like eyes. He had to admit, the eyes were the strangest thing to get used to around hybrids.

“Oh, I see,” he said and nodded with a smile.

The boy narrowed his eyes at him then turned and continued back into the building, Yamashita noted he was going toward the bathrooms.

Yamashita opened the door and was met with noise. He looked around and noted a playground with several children playing on the equipment. Nearby, where the noise was coming from, was some sort of fighting ring that had been set up. He walked over and made his way to the front where he could see what was going on in the ring.

In the ring, there was an obvious hybrid as he had a long, black wolfish tail and wolfish ears on his head. The other one wasn’t so obvious what kind of hybrid he was, but he was shorter with blond hair bobbed around his face. They were in a grappling match, it looked like, as they were on the ground struggling with each other. Yamashita didn’t know much about fighting, but it was obvious the dark-haired man was winning in a few minutes, at least to him. He heard calls from the crowd cheering for “Ohma” and “Cosmo” equally.

In a few minutes, the dark-haired man had the blond in a hold that he couldn’t get out of, and it was apparent he’d won. Everyone cheered, and the two of them got up, the dark-haired one helping the blond to his feet. They came out of the ring, and Yamashita was near where he exited. Everyone was clapping him on the back, telling him what a good match it had been and congratulating him on his win.

“Good job on the win,” Yamashita said, catching his attention.

“Yeah, thanks,” he answered and passed him up.

Yamashita followed everyone back into the building as different people kept talking to him and telling him how good it had gone. One, a man with long black hair and tiger-striped ears and tail, seemed to cling to him, nuzzling him a time or two. They all came in and sat around a table with a woman with dark ears and a striped tail. Yamashita thought that he must be important, the way everyone gathered around him, and he made his way over to the table that he’d sat down at.

“Uh, sir, if I may speak with you?” he said as he got up beside him.

He turned his wolfish eyes on him with curiosity. “Yeah, I saw you earlier. You’re new here.”

“Yeah, my name is Yamashita Kazuo. I’m not a hybrid, I’m actually here because I wanted to make connections with the hybrid community,” he told him as he stood there, a bit nervous.

“Oh, I’m Ohma Tokita. Nice to meet you.” He nodded. “This is my beta, Kiryu Setsuna and his omega Tomoko,” he said, gesturing to the dark-haired man with tiger ears and the woman beside him.

“Um, are you a leader in the community?” Yamashita asked tentatively.

Ohma blinked, looking a bit surprised. “Well, no, that’s not me. That’s Rino.”

“Rino?” Yamashita asked, frowning a bit. He’d been sure this Ohma was a leader the way the others seemed to gather around him.

“There she is,” he said, pointing out a gorgeous woman coming over with a dark-haired man in tow. “Rino, this is Yamashita. He’s looking for a leader in the community,” he said as she came nearer.

“Ah, hello, Yamashita,” she said, smiling.

Yamashita took a second to answer as breathtaking as she was. He shook it away and nodded. “Um, yeah, I was looking to talk to someone in the community. But I’m curious about the fighting?”

Rino nodded. “Oh, that, it’s a way for alphas and betas to show off for their omegas, and deal with aggression that builds up from time to time. Also, helps to resolve the occasional dispute that happens. All in all, a healthy way to channel that tendency in our more aggressive members.”

Yamashita glanced over where someone else came up and talked to Ohma. “Why does he seem to be getting so much attention?”

“Oh, Ohma? Well, he’s new to the community, and proven himself to be a strong alpha. When that happens, everyone seems to get excited. Plus, his beta Setsuna is also new to the community, and betas are a rare addition to our ranks.” She smiled again and reached out to stroke the head of the dark-haired man with her. Yamashita noted that he had feathers in places, meaning he was a bird hybrid of some sort. “Oh, I hate to be a bother, but regular humans rarely visit us. Was there something in particular you needed?”

“Oh, um, yes. I was sent here by a man named Nogi. He’s a businessman, quite successful, but he wanted to form an alliance with the hybrid community and perhaps work on getting trade and other businesses going between himself and your community. He would like to sit down and talk to someone, so I was sent to make contact with a community leader,” he explained, nodding as he went.

“I could meet with him,” she said with a gentle smile.

Yamashita returned the smile and provided her with Nogi’s information to set everything up. “Thank you, so much,” he said.

“No, thank you for bringing us this opportunity. I have to admit we have become somewhat insular in the last few decades, because of the differences between us and humans that chose not to undergo hybridization. We couldn’t imagine a life like that, and I’m sure you can’t imagine living like we do.” She nodded. “I’ll contact Mr. Nogi tomorrow. For now, I have other business to attend to, and will see you again, I am sure.”

She left, taking the dark-haired bird hybrid with her. Yamashita hung around after a while, watching what happened around him, but he figured he’d made the contact, so that should be it.

It didn’t quite work out that way, however.

The next day, after receiving a call from Nogi, he found himself at an apartment complex that had been converted to living quarters for hybrid families. He sighed. He’d asked to go home, but Nogi wanted even more information, especially about these fights that the hybrid community put on. It seemed he wanted to know if there was a chance to monetize the situation, and Yamashita thought the answer was no, he did what his boss asked. He knocked steadily on the first apartment, where Ohma was supposed to be staying.

He waited a while, wondering if maybe he should have gone to the mansion first. Then the door opened, and he gasped a little because it was Ohma. However, he was completely naked.

“Yeah?” he said, staring at him.

Behind him, he heard someone yell, “Pants! Ohma, put on pants!” and he realized it was the dark-haired beta. Setsuna, he thought was his name.

Ohma turned and looked at him as he shoved a pair of linen pants at him. Ohma took them and stepped into them without seemingly caring that the door was open, and Yamashita was standing in it. Setsuna wore an exasperated expression on his face as he did it.

“I swear, you would run around everywhere naked if you could get away with it,” Setsuna muttered. “Not that I’d mind.”

Yamashita cleared his throat as Ohma looked back at him. “Ah, yeah, I was just coming by to talk some more, if that’s okay.”

“Yeah, come in. Let him in Ohma,” Setsuna said, gesturing for Ohma to move out of the way.

Yamashita stepped in and looked around. It was a simple little apartment, set up plainly. It had basic furnishing, and a small kitchen. It looked to have one door that was a bedroom and another that was probably a bathroom.

“So, come in, have a seat in the dining room,” Setsuna said, pulling him toward the table in the adjacent area. “I’ll fix tea.”

“Thank you,” Yamashita said, taking a seat. Ohma wandered in and sat down across from him.

“So, what did you want?” he asked, scratching the back of his head.

“Well, I was wondering about the fights you put on,” Yamashita explained.

Ohma glanced at him. “Oh, why’s that?”

“Well, it might be more interesting if you had sponsors, that sort of thing,” Yamashita nodded.

“Sponsors? To fight?” he asked.

“Yeah, it would get you more visibility, and maybe more powerful opponents,” Yamashita already knew that he was probably the type to like fighting just based on his looks.

Setsuna came back with a tray of tea and cups and sat them down. “I don’t know, that seems like it might spoil the purpose of the fights,” he said as he passed it out.

“That’s why I came to you first,” Yamashita said, taking the tea and adding some sugar to it.

“Argh,” Setsuna said suddenly, standing up with a hand to his head. “I have such a headache.”

“Did you take something yet?” Yamashita wondered.

“Yeah, took something a little while ago. I’ve just been getting them off and on this week,” he said, sitting down with his own tea. “Strange, because I normally don’t get them.”

Yamashita frowned, hoping he wasn’t sick. “Well, if you think it wouldn’t be profitable, I won’t pursue it,” he said, nodding as he took a sip.

Ohma finished his tea and looked over at a clock. “Time for work,” he said and got up, heading to the bedroom.

Setsuna watched him go with a strange look on his face. “What’s wrong?”

“I think Ohma wants to claim the omega he works for,” he said frowning.

Yamashita nodded, knowing it was pretty common for strange alphas to claim multiple omegas. “That’s something a lot of alphas do.”

“I feel weird about it. Like he’ll leave me if he does,” Setsuna said with a sigh.

“That doesn’t happen, right?” Yamashita asked, frowning.

“No, I just… maybe it’s just me. I just feel like he should be mine alone. I have an omega, so this shouldn’t bother me, but it does, and I don’t know why.” Setsuna sipped the tea and then hopped up when Ohma came out, dressed in a work shirt and jeans.

“Have a good day at work!” he said, obviously feigning cheerfulness.

He kissed him lightly on the lips and Ohma grabbed him, pulling him in for a deeper kiss. It lasted long enough that Yamashita had to look away because it was getting intense. Then, Ohma pulled back and smiled.

“You staying with me tonight or with Tomoko?” he asked.

“Ah, I haven’t decided yet,” Setsuna said, looking a bit flushed.

“Well, I’ll see you after work if you’re home,” Ohma said, cupping his face and then heading out the door.

“I don’t think you have to worry about losing him to an omega, Setsuna,” Yamashita said gently. “I think he can handle it.”

Setsuna sighed, nodding at him. “I guess.”

Rihito picked up the box and moved it to the storage area as the door opened and Ohma came in. He looked up and felt that strange little thrill that being around an alpha gave him. The Lynx hybrid shivered a little, trying to play it off cool.

“Yo, how are you?” he asked him.

“I’m good,” Ohma answered. “What’s going on today?”

Rihito went over what needed to be done. Rihito ran a cold storage business, so it was imperative that things be done in a timely fashion. He was lucky that Ohma was a quick learner and able to do such a good job in a short time he’d been there. Of course, the smell Ohma exuded didn’t help his alpha search.

“What’s up today?” Ohma said as they took a break and got a drink.

“Oh, just been trying to find an alpha, and there just aren’t any hot female ones available around here, and my heat is coming up again.” Rihito sighed. “It’s going to be another lonely miserable heat for me.” Komaeda, a water buffalo hybrid, and Karaev, an ermine hybrid, the other two workers und Rihito both rolled their eyes expressively and walked to get more boxes.

“I’ll claim you,” Ohma said as though it was as everyday as saying he enjoyed a cold glass of water.

“You aren’t a hot female alpha,” he said, cutting his eyes at him. Komaeda and Karaev traded a glance with each other, with Karaev shaking his head at Komaeda. “But I guess I’ve got time to think of it…” he muttered the last.

They worked the rest of the day without mentioning the claiming discussion, but it weighed heavily on Rihito’s mind. He couldn’t not think of it now that Ohma had offered. He decided he needed to talk to his friends about it to see what they thought.

He met up with them at the Mansion that evening and didn’t see Ohma. He was kind of glad of that because he really just wanted to see what the guys thought of his offer.

“Hey, Rihito!” Kaneda said, smiling as usual as he sat down. Kaneda adjusted his long, fox tail as he situated himself in the chair. Himuro sat down beside him, and after a few minutes, Okubo came wandering up.

“Hey guys, how’s it going?” he asked.

“Good, you look off, though, something wrong?” Himuro asked, frowning at him.

“Heat’s coming up,” Rihito sighed. “And I still haven’t found an alpha. Well, Ohma offered, but I don’t know what to do.”

“Ohma?” Okubo said. Okubo scratched his head where a set of black bear ears twitched. He didn’t have much of a tail since he was an Asian black bear hybrid. “That wouldn’t be bad. He’s a strong alpha.”

“But he’s a dude,” Rihito said, looking at him.

“Being with a male alpha isn’t a bad thing,” Himuro said.

“That’s easy for you to say, look at your hot female alpha, Sayaka!” he frowned.

“But he’s my omega,” he said, pointing to Kaneda across the table.

“Yeah, what’re you so afraid of?” Kaneda asked, eyes barely slits as he looked at him.

Rihito swallowed hard and sighed. “I’m already an omega. I guess I’m afraid I’ll be less of a man if I take a male alpha,” he nearly murmured the last, looking at his hands.

Okubo put a hand on his back. “It doesn’t make me less of one,” he said.

“What? You have a female alpha,” Rihito said.

“I never said that!” Okubo laughed a little. “You assumed, Kureishi is definitely male, see?” he said, pulling out his phone and showing him a picture of him with the other man, his red hair framing his face.

Rihito looked at him and to the picture again. “Oh. I guess I thought he was a girl.”

“He’s not,” Okubo confirmed. “Now, come on, what’s stopping you? You’ll still be a man even if you let Ohma claim you, and he’s a good, strong alpha. He would be a good match for you. Plus, you saw him fight Cosmo. He’s pretty awesome in the ring.”

Rihito sighed. “Yeah, maybe you’re right.”

“Of course, we’re right,” Himuro said, sipping his drink. “Now, quit being a wuss and take him up on his offer.”

“How is Sayaka?” Kaneda asked.

“Oh, she’s fine. She took an omega, one of the bodyguards named Kaike. He’s had a crush on her forever, and she took notice of him,” Himuro said with a shrug.

“How’s her brother taking it?” Rihito said, knowing that her brother, Retsudo, was severely overprotective of her.

“He’s okay with it. He knew Kaike pretty well, and has accepted that she’s an alpha like him, so she needed to take mates. He’s always checking in though and asking if she gets her birth control shot since she’s too young to sire a baby,” Himuro smiled. “He still gives me a look now and then, as though he still doesn’t quite trust anyone with his sister.”

“Didn’t Retsudo take an omega recently?” Okubo asked, frowning.

“Oh yeah, Misasa. He’s a male omega. They’re a good match, too. Misasa is a master of close quarters combat, and he’s been with Retsudo’s old man for a long time,” Himuro nodded.

“I see,” Rihito said. “I think I’m going to take Ohma up on his offer. I’m tired of the heats, since I can’t take heat suppressants.”

“You’ll do good to take a good alpha like him,” Okubo said, clapping him on the back.

-oooooo-

Tomoko sighed as she settled with her back against Setsuna’s body. He’d come over to the apartment she was in tonight because Ohma had been invited out by that human, Yamashita, who had come around. They’d ended up spending some time talking, but it quickly led to the bedroom. But something was wrong with Setsuna, and Tomoko could sense it.

“Something’s bothering you,” she said, clutching his hand where it laid on her belly.

“I’m alright,” he said, but she knew better. She could tell something was going on from his tone of voice.

“Don’t lie to me, please,” she said softly.

Setsuna was quiet a moment. “It’s just… this deal with Ohma taking an omega. I guess I’m a little jealous.”

“What are you jealous of?” Tomoko asked. “Ohma took you first.”

“Yeah, but what if he likes this other omega more than me?” Setsuna said after a few moments of silence.

“You know that’s not going to happen. So many alphas have harems, and it looks like Ohma is a good, strong alpha who will have several claims. But you’ll always be special as his first,” Tomoko squeezed his hand as she spoke.

Setsuna didn’t speak for a while. “I guess you’re right.”

“And besides, I’ll always be your omega,” Tomoko picked his hand up and kissed his knuckles.

Setsuna leaned in and began to kiss the back of her neck, causing her to giggle for a moment, until a sudden wave of nausea took her. She gagged and scrambled to get out of the bed as quickly as she could, running to the adjoining bathroom and vomiting everything she’d had for dinner.

“Tomoko?” Setsuna asked from the door to the bathroom. “Are you sick?”

“Just been feeling sick to my stomach the last week or so,” she said, sitting beside the toilet.

Setsuna frowned. “Huh, that’s about as long as I’ve been having these headaches.”

She looked up at him. “Wait. Since the claimings?”

“Yeah,” Setsuna said, looking thoughtful. “You don’t think…” he trailed off, eyes going a bit wide.

“It’s more than possible. I wasn’t on contraception, and neither were you,” Tomoko said as she got to her feet. “And Ohma certainly wasn’t taking anything.”

“Tomorrow, we go see the doctor. Hanafusa will be in tomorrow, as it’s a weekday,” Setsuna said. “Until then, let’s get some sleep.”

They headed to bed, and even though they were a bit worried, they fell asleep in each other’s arms after a while.

The next morning, Tomoko was in the bathroom again, while Setsuna got dressed. She cleaned up, showering quickly and they headed out to the doctor’s office. They found the nurse at the front, and she checked them both in. It was a slow day, and he often took walk ins on days he wasn’t busy.

“What do you need to be seen for?” she asked as she made notes.

“We need pregnancy tests,” Setsuna said, looking at her.

“For both of you?” she said, looking up.

“I’m a beta,” Setsuna explained. “She’s my omega, but I have an alpha.”

The nurse nodded. “I see. I’ll get the doctor,” she said, standing up and going in the back.

A few minutes later, a doctor that Setsuna had only heard about came out. Hanafusa was his name, he knew, and he was supposed to be good. However, he had a habit of disappearing for long periods of time. So, sometimes his nurses covered for him, and a couple other doctors would fill in. He was not what Setsuna expected, as he had a set of frilled gills and a tail.

“Axolotl,” Hanfusa explained with a smirk. “I get that a lot.”

“Ah,” Setsuna said, still not sure what manner of creature that was.

“Come back, and we’ll get a urine test to see if you are with child,” he said, leading them through the door to a pair of bathrooms. “There are collection cups in there, just urinate in the cup, and we’ll test it and see if it is positive.”

Both Setsuna and Tomoko went into the bathroom and managed to get a sample, glad they had both put off using the restroom this morning, knowing this was probably the test they’d perform. They exited, leaving the cups in the slot for them and coming out.

Hanafusa smiled and nodded. “Here, come sit in an exam room while we test.”

They were shown to an exam room where they waited nervously. It seemed to take forever, but Hanafusa came in about ten minutes later.

“Well, I have news. A congratulations is in order. They’re both positive.”

Setsuna looked at Tomoko and then grabbed her in a hug. “Oh wow!” she exclaimed.

“We have to tell Ohma!” Setsuna said as he let her go. “He’ll be surprised!”

“When should we tell everyone?” Tomoko asked, frowning.

“Tonight, at the Mansion. We’re supposed to meet this omega Ohma’s planning on claiming, Rihito. We’ll tell him then,” Setsuna nodded.

The rest of the day was a blur and they excitedly waited to tell everyone else the news. They avoided going out for fear of letting it slip before they told Ohma. It was a tough day of waiting all around, but finally, they went to meet everyone at the Mansion.

Himuro, Kaneda, Okubo, and Rihito all came, and Ohma introduced Rihito to Setsuna and Tomoko. Setsuna talked nervously, trying to be nice to him, but it was obvious he was anticipating telling everyone. They ordered drinks, and Setsuna and Tomoko both turned down the alcohol they were offered, getting a strange look from the others when they did.

“Ohma, I have news, too,” Setsuna said as conversation over Rihito and Ohma lulled.

Ohma frowned and looked at him. “News?”

Setsuna nodded. “Ohma, I just found out. I’m pregnant, and so is Tomoko,” he said quickly.

Ohma was silent a moment. “Really?”

“I hope it’s okay,” Setsuna said, looking at him. “I wasn’t on anything when you claimed me. I didn’t think about that, and things went so fast—”

“No, it’s good news,” Ohma said with a little smile. “Building a family is the idea, right? So, it makes sense that we’d start.”

Setsuna smiled and got up and hugged Ohma. “Please, spend the night with me,” he whispered to him.

Ohma grinned and nodded. “Alright. We have to celebrate!”

Soon, everyone knew that they were expecting, and everyone began congratulating them one after another. Rino came over and specially gave her congratulations, and everyone was a buzz that there were new babies on the way.
