Work Text:

Mirabel sets a place for Bruno next to herself and coaxes him to sit down. She waves off praise and thanks directed at her.

“Couldn’t have done it without Bruno! And Antonio and the rats, of course!” Mirabel says.

Dolores watches them, happy that the secret is out and she doesn’t have to keep it inside anymore.

Bruno kisses the top of Mirabel’s head. Mirabel hides her blush behind her cup, but Dolores hears the way her heart picks up, threatening to jump out of her chest.

Dolores turns away. She’s kept one secret this long; she can keep another.
