Chapter Text

=Chapter 01 - Prologue=

Inside the Heliopolis where all the Gods and Goddesses are now watching the trial to condemn the God of War and Red Desert for his crimes, Seth.

Seth who are now chained and restrict his movement as the trial takes place and how his punishment would go.

‘Why not just kill me and everything would go on its own? Why the hell held this stupid trial?’

Seth thought as he didn’t looked up at the Gods and Goddesses around and only listens to their gubberish whispers of words if that’s what he could call it because even though it’s just a whisper, as a God himself, he could hear it loud and clear.

All of his life for hundreds of years that he protected the boarders of Egypt as their commander and he dedicated his life to protect the ones he cherished the most but he never expected that this would happen to him.

To be betrayed by the King who happens to be his elder brother, to be betrayed by the wife who happens to be his sister and to be betrayed by the best friend who happens to be his elder sister.

To be neglected by his parents and only shower affections to his other siblings.

To his precious son… his Anubis…

No matter what happens, Anubis is still his precious son but what can he do? In order to protect Anubis from his biological father, Osiris, he abandoned and let the child think that he neglected him.

His elder brother, Osiris, who would have thought that he would have that such desire to him? Seth never have thought that Osiris would do that to him on the night after he murder him because of the humiliation that he felt that time.

He wants to end all of it…

He doesn’t want anything anymore…

Someone… Can someone hear my prayer?

Seth laughed internally as he thought something like that.

He is a God himself yet he is praying for someone who would hear his prayer…

How ironic…

« What’s your wish? »

‘Huh?’

« I have sense your regret and sorrow that’s why I have heard your prayer. What is your wish? »

‘You’ve got to be kidding me? Is this serious?’

Seth didn’t looked up and he navigate his eyes around the area to see if there was someone within the Heliopolis using a connection through his mind.

« Worry not as I am not among the Gods or Goddesses of your world as I am a God from another dimension. Because of your deep resentment, your prayer had reach me. I will be here if you are ready »

‘A God from another dimension? How is that possible? How come a God from not here would hear my prayer? Am I hallucinating or something?’

Seth thought as he didn’t understand a single thing that happen when that mysterious entity had communicated with him through his mind.

When he secretly looked around, he could tell that the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead didn’t detect that someone is thinking to him.

He sighed internally.

“You want to be recognized as the one who turned Seth into an Evil God?”

Seth snapped immediately from his own thoughts when he heard the familiar cunning voice from the Sun God itself.

‘What is she up to?!’

Ra, the Sun God and Mother of all Ennead speaks up into the Court as her golden eyes had a glint of slyness that could be seen.

“How about we place Seth’s heart on the scale as well and have him reveal what happened on the night of the incident, shall we?”

Ra’s voice boom around the court as all of the Gods and Goddesses listens to her words and when Horus heard this, he trembled.

Horus, the son of Isis, Goddess of Magic and Osiris, the God of Life stood there trembling because of the words coming from Ra itself.

‘If that incident revealed right in front of the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead, my father’s reputation would hit rock bottom but… it would left a hunting nightmare to Uncle Seth and it would traumatizing him even further.’

Horus wants to take an action but he couldn’t move at all because it seems like he could felt Ra’s overwhelming pressure around the court or it might be because he is still not a God yet.

‘I need to think of a plan that would save my Uncle to this predicament! I don’t want him to suffer more!’

Seth, on the other hand, felt his muscle went numb because of Ra’s statement that he couldn’t think straight away.

“Someone has come forth to attest that they the “true culprit” behind Seth’s madness. Such testimonies should not be so simply overlooked and we must exposed the true culprit in order to restore the justice within Egypt”

Ra continued her speech that makes Seth trembled on where he stood while he is still bound by the chains to restrict his movements.

‘No…no…no….NO!’

Ra smirks as she continued.

“Why not we place Seth’s heart on the scale and have him testify about the events of that night!”

As soon as Ra finished her statement, Seth’s mind go wreck havoc as the memories of that night starts to resurface once more.

His precious son had been used to threaten him…

The sexual assault from his elder brother Osiris…

Osiris’s obssession to him….

The humiliation from that night that he won’t forget for the rest of his life….

“Haa! AHHHHH!”

Seth shouted as he breakdown because of the memory from that night and he struggled from the chains that binds him as he shouted.

The Gods and Goddesses that are watching the trial whispered with one another as they watched Seth’s odd behaviour.

“W-what’s wrong with him?”

“He’s acting odd”

“What’s with him?”

“Is he under a curse?”

“Maybe the culprit really is someone else”

“He is hiding something! Interrogate him!”

“Will he be okay?”

“If there is really another culprit behind all of this, who knows when they’ll strike again?!”

“I knew something was off”

“Something must’ve happened behind the scenes!”

Isis, on the other hand, shocked by Seth’s sudden breakdown and she didn’t know what to do first.

“Seth…”

‘Ra already knew the whole story of that night and that’s why she is trying to humiliate Osiris by exposing the truth in front of everyone here.’

Isis thought as she looked at Seth’s wrecking behaviour that turned into madness.

“AHHHH! HAAAAA!”

Isis clenches her fists as she watched his youngest sibling would break into madness and she couldn’t help but to feel terrible as well.

‘This is not what I want! I don’t want to hurt Seth but what about my goals if I tell them the whole truth? The truth that Osiris raped his own brother because of his obssession of him?’

Isis looked away as she restrain herself from breaking down as well by just looking at her youngest sibling that suffered in front of him.

Seth, on the other hand, is on the verge to become mad because of the incident that happened that night and he became paranoid that if the truth came out, he didn’t know what he would do.

It didn’t leave him no choice.

“KILL ME! JUST KILL ME! You said that my sentence won’t change wither way, right?! So what’s the point in interrogating me?! If you don’t kill me, I’ll just kill myself!”

Seth shouted in madness as he struggle to break free from the chains that binds him and not much later, the chains had broken because of his immense strength.

Because of what happened, the Gods and Goddesses within the court panic because of Seth had break free from the chains.

“Seth broke free!”

“Do something!”

“What’s happening?!”

“They said it was secured!”

“Ma’at!”

“Look out!”

“Move away!”

The Ennead court turned into chaos because Seth broke free and most of them run away from the area in order not to be inflicted.

“UNCLE!”

Horus shouted as he charge forward from where Seth was and fly straight away.

“Kyaa! It’s Horus!”

“Oh no!”

Isis; “Horus! No! It’s dangerous!”

Isis was about to assist but another hand was stopped her and she looked around and she saw that it was Tefnut, her grandmother.

Isis tried to resist and fight Tefnut but the other God tried to stop her that’s why Isis could only watch as her son went to charge forward from where Seth had broke free from the chains that binds him.

Horus had reached Seth and he hugged his Uncle to calm him as he speaks.

“Uncle! Please calm down! You made a promise to Anubis!”

As he said that, Horus felt that the body that he hugged form into a sand and Seth escape from his clutches.

“Urgh!”

Horus was attacked by the sands that Seth controlled and he protected himself from the sand that cause him to have slight injuries.

“Damn Son of Osiris! This is all your fault, you bastard! I’m going to kill off everyone here one by one until you kill me! Hahahaha!”

Seth was clouded by the nightmares of the past as he speaks like a madman and laughed like a lunatic.

“Seth!! NO! Don’t commit any crimes than you already have!”

Nephthys, the Goddess of Harmony and Peace as well as Seth’s wife and sister, cried while pleaded for him to stop.

Seth heard what she said and halt for a minute until he felt his other hand the curse appeared that makes him trembled as he remembered.

Horus immediately grab Seth’s arms and said; “Uncle, I won’t kill you nor will I let them interrogate you! Nobody will ever hear what happened that night! If you wish to keep it a secret, I’ll make sure it stays that way! I’ll make sure that nobody finds out”

Seth was shocked by Horus’s statement that he forget that he was still in the trial but before he could react, Horus immediately punch Seth to his stomach that makes Seth staggered and lost consciousness.

When the sands had been released, All of the Gods and Goddesses that Horus had been subdue Seth from his madness from earlier that makes them all shock because of that.

Horus is not a God yet but he manage to subdue the fearsome God of War? What a sight for them.

Most of the Gods and Goddesses clamored because of what happened and they sing praises to the son of Osiris and Isis that he would be the true hope of Egypt.

A true King…

“Oh dear! We can’t interrogate him if he passed out, now can we? However, it’s still too early to let your guard down. He might be asleep for now but as the Sun God, waking up sleepyheads is my specialty”

Ra said as she smirks while her hand had a light that appears on her palms as she walked forward to where Horus and Seth was.

Horus immediately embrace his ‘unconscious’ Uncle to his side to protect him from the Sun God’s vision as he didn’t want his Uncle to relieve those nightmares of his.

Seth, on the other hand, isn’t unconscious at all because when Horus launched an attack on him, the young demigod whispered on him.

‘Pretend to be unsconscious for awhile.’

When he heard that, he had no choice but to comply but still on guard because he didn’t understand why Horus is helping him.

Seth thought that Horus can use this to humiliate him in front of the Ennead but what he doesn’t understand is that, why is the brat is so concern about him?

Seth could hear that Horus is trying to reason out to Ra about the crimes that Seth had nothing to do with the other and why push the interrogation because it would be meaningless.

‘Why are you helping me? Why?!’

Seth could hear Ra’s statement as she asked Isis if it’s was meaningless to interrogate Seth about that incident.

Isis heard what Ra stated and she got startled because of that.

Isis; “!!!”

‘If I… reveal the events of that night right now… Osiris honor will hit rock bottom. His affair with Nephtys is not enough to bring down his authority. This is my chance.’

The chance to tell everyone about his vile deeds!

Isis think further that if she did that…

She looked at his son as he embraced Seth protectively and the whispers on his mouth; “Mother…”

Isis can hear the pleading tone coming from his son as she looked around and most of them are looking back at her, waiting for her answer.

She once again looked at his youngest sibling within his son’s embrace unconscious and she clenches her fist as she made a firm decision.

“I… I believe the first punishment order of business should be Seth’s punishment”

Isis said with a firm tone that makes Ra dumbfounded because of that.

“What?!”

The Sun God looked back at Isis with a frown when she heard what the Goddess of Magic stated.

“Nephthys claims that the main culprit behind Seth’s madness was herself and the Sun God’s conjecture about there being hidden culprit lacks evidence. So, Ma’at let’s stop wasting time and proceed with Seth’s trial”

After numerous debates because Isis insist on dissolving Seth’s soul as a punishment but Ra proposed that Seth could be sent to prison to row her sun boat for the rest of his life and it turns a major debate of the two Goddesses.

Horus, on the other hand, placed his ‘unsconcious’ uncle Seth at the side as he speaks about if Seth happens to be sent off to row the sun boat, what could have happen to all the sand he’d leave behind.

The young demigod explain that all of the souls that lost their bodies because Seth ground them up. He also asked if they just going to be thrown away?

When Horus finished speaking, Nephthys was startled by thinking about it as she also explained that if the curse aren’t lifted in time, Anubis’ soul will vanish just as the others did.

The ‘unconscious’ Seth and Isis both startled because of that and Isis insist on dissolving Seth’s soul but Nephthys begs in front of the Ennead to save her son Anubis and allow Seth to give him time to lift the curse.

Isis and Nephthys debated in front of the Ennead and Ma’at, the Goddess of Truth and Justice, also served as the Judge of the Court of Ennead listen to Nephthys reasoning and she only look neutral as she listens.

On the other side, the ‘unsconscious’ Seth slowly sits up as he listens to Nephthys and Seth remembers what Anubis told him while he was bound in the chains before he was placed on the trial.

‘I’ll wait for as long as I have to. I’ll endure it all with you so pay your sins and lift the curse. When that day comes, -you, Mother and I… can all start again from the beginning, can’t we?’

Seth remembered those words and he couldn’t help but to think if it’s worth it to try but…

‘I don’t know anymore. I just want to disappear and rest. I love Anubis and he would be my precious son for the rest of my life but… the betrayals and suffering that I have… I don’t know if I could be the same Father to him when he was young.’

Seth wants to redeem himself but for all the sins that he had committed because of the betrayal that he felt on his family, he doesn’t know what to do anymore.

« I can lift the curse on your precious son, if you want »

‘Huh?!’

Seth snapped himself as he looked around to find that source of the voice he keeps on hearing from earlier.

« I told you that I am a God from another dimension and because of your deep resentment, your prayer reached me and here I am »

‘You’re not shitting me, right?’

« No, I am not. The choice is yours if you believe me »

Seth think about it for a moment but later on he ask through his mind.

‘What’s the catch?’

« All you need is a family that would love and cherish you, right? A loving parent and a doting siblings that you dreamed of ever since you are young. A companion who would listen and stay at your side no matter what happens »

Seth got startled because of that and it seems like the God who speaks on his mind knows about him.

‘If you lift my son’s curse, what’s next?’

« I will grant you the greatest gift that you would never imagine. I know the sins that you have committed and I can’t say enough about it but it’s also unfair on your part that you are the ones that would punish because of this »

Seth didn’t mind about other things and the only thing that matters to him is that, about his son, Anubis.

‘I accept. Wait for my signal’

“Please grant Seth the time to lift the curse!”

Nephthys cried as she said those words in front of the Ennead but she stopped as she looked down where she saw Seth stood up from the ground and speaks.

“Declaring me an Evil God, confiscating my temple, demoting my divine status. I’ll accept it all of my punishment that all of the Ennead would bestow upon me”

After he said those words, the Court of Ennead went into silent because of that and they all stared back at him wide eyes because they couldn’t believe on what they are hearing.

“Are we hearing things?”

“Seth just said that… What?”

“I think I got a problem in my ears that it seems like I heard wrong”

More and more whispers from the other Gods and Goddesses as they heard the words coming out from the God of War’s mouth.

Horus stared at his Uncle wide eyed under his falcon headdress.

“Uncle?”

Isis stared back at his youngest sibling with conflicted looked.

“…Seth…”

Ma’at looked at Seth with neutral expression as she raised her left hand and a papyrus appeared in front of her as she stated:

“God of War and Red Desert, Seth! I shall now declare your final judgement! All of his achievements as the God of War would be wipe out and only be remembered as an Evil God because of the heavy crimes that he committed. The Evil God Seth, you will no longer be allowed to wield the power of the God. Atone for your sins that you have committed and only atonement that you can regain the control of the sand. Look back on your sins and repent. This is the final judgement has been hereby declared….by the Court of Ennead.”

As soon as Ma’at finished her judgement and the papyrus had been written in the air about the judgement of Seth, the letters went through Seth as the power of divinity stripped to his body one by one and Seth could feel that his power is about to dissolved, he thought.

‘Now’s the time. Please lift Anubis curse for me and I’ll do what you want.’

As soon as he said those words through his mind, the voice replied.

« Accepted. May your soul be with you »       

With that, Seth coughed off blood as he stumbled on the ground as he continued coughing that makes the light coming of Maat’s papyrus backlashed and the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead screamed because of what happened.

“Ma’at! What’s the meaning of this?!”

Isis shouted as she saw what happened and he looked at the trial floor where Seth is being sentenced and she heard a scream coming from his youngest sibling.

“AHHHHHH! ACCCKK!”

“UNCLE!”

Horus is within the platform as he shouted when he saw Seth stumbled on the ground as he coughed off blood while holding his chest.

“Somebody help! Uncle is coughing too much blood!”

Horus shouted in panic and because of that, all of them looked at the platform and there they saw Seth lying on the ground and he keeps on coughing off blood while his trembling hands reached at the air for help.

“Acck!— W-w-what?!— Argh!”

Horus immediately went to Seth’s side as he reached the man’s trembling hand but Seth keeps on coughing off blood and his headdress was pulled off and what Horus saw shock him the most.

Seth’s eyes is no longer bloody crimson but a dull lifeless colored abyss.

“What happen—?! Seth!”

Isis manage to get in the platform and when she saw what Seth looks like, she got startled and moves backward because she didn’t know what kind of sorcery that happens to his youngest sibling.

The Court of Ennead turned into chaos because of the unexpected events that happened.

They watched as the former God of War and Red Desert reduced to being an Evil demigod when the judgement declares and what happens next is that, the judgement from the Goddess of Truth and Justice backlashed without reason and it resulted into this.

“Ma’at! What happened?! What did you do?!”

Ma’at herself was startled and her usual neutral expression shows that she didn’t know what happen and when she saw Seth’s situation, she stiffen because of what happened.

She is the one who sentenced the former God of War and Red Desert to strip his divinity and it should not affect his life with it! How does this happened to him?!

Seth’s dull lifeless eyes looked around as if he is looking for someone when his eyes landed on Horus, he tried to speak.

“H-h-ho…rus… p-p-ple..ase… *cough!* *cough!*”

“Uncle! Don’t talk! Mother, do something!”

Isis get on her knees as she cast a magic to detect what happen but when she looked into it, she is stupefied on what she discovered.

“W-w-what is this?! His soul is slipping away together his divinity!”

Isis shouted that makes the whole Ennead went into chaos because without the divinity of the sand, how could they protected the borders of Egypt?

Isis tried her best to heal Seth but to no avail because it seems like her power is being bounced back at her which makes her frustrate even more.

“I can’t detect anything about him other than his soul is slipping away with his divinity! Ra, do something!”

Isis shouted at the Sun Goddess and Ra raised her hand and released her power and tried to do something about Seth’s abnormality but even her powers couldn’t do anything.

Ra was dumbfounded when she saw that even her powers wouldn’t work on him and she wanders what is this.

“My powers is also useless to him! Just what is this?!”

All of the Gods and Goddesses tried their best to use their power to Seth but it also went for naught which makes all of them frustrated that they didn’t even know what to do.

“A-a-a-anubis…”

Isis looked at his dying brother in front of her when she heard the name that he speaks and Isis closed his eyes because she knew that even in his dying state, Seth would be calling his ‘precious son’.

“Uncle! Hang on! Please!”

Horus shouted as he clenched on the trembling hands on his uncle as he head down because he didn’t know what to do.

However, Seth’s hand slip away within Horus’ grasp and then fell on the ground and Seth stopped coughing off blood as his head went aside and all of the Gods and Goddesses around could feel that his life is no longer here.

“No no no NO! Seth!”

Nephthys cried as she went to Seth’s body and lift to her side and embrace his husband’s lifeless body.

“Seth wake up! What about Anubis?! SETH!”

The former God of War and Red Desert, Seth died mysteriously and it also took his divinity with him with unknown reason.

Chapter Text

=Chapter 02 – New Life, New Beginning=

All Seth could remember is that, when Ma’at declared her final judgement to him, he accepted the deal he make to the mysterious God that speaking to him through his mind and when Seth accepted the offer…

Everything around him became black…

……

Seth could hear words around him but he didn’t understand what they are saying and he can’t see them because of the darkness in front of him.

‘Okay. Where am I? Wait a minute! Where is that God who speaks with me inside my head?!’

Seth tried to move but he couldn’t move that much but he felt something warm around his body that makes him want to sleep.

‘Ah… so comforting…’

Seth snapped on his daze as he couldn’t believe himself that he would fall something like that!

‘Okay! Just where the hell am I?! I can’t see!’

“Uwaaah! Uwaaah!”

‘Huh?! What’s that?! Is that mine?! What the fck?!’

“There, there my baby angel! Don’t cry!”

‘What the hell?! I don’t understand!’

“Uwaaah!...Uwaaah!....”

‘Fcking shitness! Is this some kind of prank?! Who dared to prank me, the God of War, Seth!’

Seth didn’t know what his surroundings are and he tried to move as well but it seems like his body is restricted for some reasons.

Later on, he noticed the light in front of him and he felt like he could reach it so he extended his arms to catch that light but when he manage to catch it, he felt something warm that hold his hand.

Seth had manage to opened his eyes and the first thing that he noticed is that, all his surrounding are blurred for a moment but later on, the surroundings became clear.

“Look! His eyes are opened! Kyaah! It’s so cute!”

‘What? Who are these people?’

Seth tried to speak but he couldn’t speak at all that makes him dumbfounded.

‘What is happening?! Why I couldn’t speak!’

“Awww! Honey look! He got your eyes! Our angel is frowning!”

Seth looked at the one who seems to hold him and it was a woman with ebony shiny hair and hazel eyes from what he noticed.

‘Who is this woman?!’

“Honey, he is looking at you as if you offended him! Haha! Our son is so cute!”

The woman looked down at him and smiled at him which makes Seth startled because this is the first time that someone smiled at him without fear.

Being the God of War and the Lord of the Desert makes the humans admired and feared him at the same time.

But no one had ever gave him genuine smile like the woman who was holding him.

After some time had passed and Seth heard someone knock from the other side and his eyes followed the sight of that sound and when he looked at it, the long wood that attached to the wall opened and there was a human popped out there.

‘This human looks old to me and he wears a weird white cloth around him’

The human in weird white went over at them as he smiled.

“Good Morning! How’s the baby, Mr. and Mrs. Kim?”

‘I don’t understand what they are talking about. Might as well do my thing and it seems like I am the baby since the woman holds me into it.’

“Hello, Dr. Park! At first he is quiet and then later on he cried as if he wants to say something but I think that’s all normal for all newborn babies”

Seth just ignore the conversation because no matter what he listens, he won’t understand a thing.

He looked at the other man who converse with the weird white man on cloth.

The man with ebony black hair, like the woman had stated and it’s obvious that this man is the husband.

The old looking man with white cloth just nodded and then he went over where Seth was and the old man took something from his neck and put it on his ears and a circle-like object pressed into Seth’s chest that makes him chilled because of the cold.

‘H-hey! What is that, you bastard! Take it off, will you?!’

“Uwaaah!... Gaaa…”

‘Damn it! Stupid baby words! Argh! How I wish that there was sand around so that I could shot geysers around the area to vent my frustrations!’

Seth didn’t have a choice but to let the old man do his work and since he is a baby, he would act as a baby as well.

‘But then again, how to act as a baby? It’s been hundreds of years since I could remember! Argh!’

When the old man with weird cloth finished what he was doing, he retract that circle-like thing from his chest and Seth could still feel the chills from it.

‘Damn it! What was that?!’

“The baby is normal and I could say that… he is quite energetic based on his movements from earlier. I’ll prescribe some vitamins for him and both of you need to observe anything about him, okay?”

Seth could only watch the interaction between these people because even though he is way too old for his own age but his body is a newborn baby and not just that, he didn’t understand every single word that they are talking about.

‘If only Thoth was here, he might answer all of my questions but oh well! That moron is a fool to his wife so need to bother him if ever!’

“By the way, I haven’t known your child’s name. Have the both of you already have a name for your child?”

Seth just stared at the adults who are still conversing with each other and as a baby, he couldn’t help but feel useless because he couldn’t move nor speak the way he wants.

‘This is troublesome. I miss my sands so much! Argh!’

While Seth is thinking about something to entertain himself, he noticed that his body moved from another angle so he looked around and he came face-to-face with the woman who embrace him and the black-haired woman smiled at him, together with the other man in black hair as well.

“Since we are in the country that is republic and also we wish for him to have a fun and blessed long-life for our precious son then, we will name him…

KIM ROK-SOO”

Seth could only stared back at the woman who speaks a language that he couldn’t understand but he catch some words that caught his attention.

‘Kim Rok-Soo?’

The former God of War questioned himself as he tried to say those words in his mind and it seems like it went well but he couldn’t say it to his mouth since he is still a freaking newborn baby.

“Rok-Soo, our dear angel. Be happy and have a fun blessed long-life! We are your parents! I’m your mother, Jung So-Hwa and this is your father, Kim Jae-Hyun!”

Seth could tell that in this new life, his name is Kim Rok-Soo because even though the former God of War and Red Desert couldn’t understand a single thing that these two adults saying to him, he heard the name Rok-Soo being called to him so yeah, that’s it.

And these two adults in front of him are now his parents on this life that makes him feel awkward because Seth didn’t have a familial love toward his previous life’s parents which was Geb, the God of Earth and Nut, the Goddess of the Sky.

“Gaaa…Uwaaah….”

‘Okay, you stupid freaking baby mouth of yours! You can’t speak so stop speaking! It makes me want to puke just hearing my own voice talking gibberish!’

“Awww! I love you too, my baby!”

Seth was taken aback by his mother’s action as the woman kissed him to his forehead, as well as his father who kissed him in the forehead as well and both adults looked back at him with a smile on their faces and Seth could tell that his parents are happy to see him in this world.

Which is something that Seth wants in his previous life and now it seems like one of his wishful thinking came true.

‘I don’t know who that God who speaks through my mind from my previous life but I want to thank that God for giving me a second chance to have a good and peaceful life with the people that I would cherished the most in this life.’

Being in a baby body he is, Seth, now Kim Rok-Soo couldn’t help but to teared up because of the newfound happiness that he feels right now.

Seth just ignored the weird white-clothed old man as he wouldn’t understand him anyway and he only focused on the two adults that he would protect and cherished in this new life of his.

In his previous life, he gave his all and he tried his best to feel the love from his parents Geb and Nut but it went all for naught as they only doted on Osiris, Isis and Nephthys that makes him jealous of his siblings because of that.

Seth, or Kim Rok-Soo wish for it to have a siblings that he could love and doted on in this new life of his.

Because back in his previous life as the God of War Seth, he tried his best to bond with his siblings ever since they were young but since all of them are Gods and Goddesses, they have duties that they need to fulfill.

Seth was glad that he could bond with Isis as a sister and a best friend that he could confide with his problems if he ever hand or vice versa.

But what Seth didn’t expected is that… Isis knew about that incident beforehand and she didn’t do anything to stop Osiris for raping Seth that it makes the God of War felt betrayed by the actions of his elder sister and best friend.

‘If only Isis intervene that time, what could have happened?’

Seth snapped on his thoughts as he set aside those thoughts from the past and now that he is in a new world with a new identity, he made a firm decision.

‘In this life, he would be no longer the fearsome God of War and Red Desert Seth as he is dead and now that I am reborn in this life as Kim Rok-Soo, I would never let go of this chance that is given to me.’

Former God of War and Red Desert Seth is no longer exist and in this life, he would be known as Kim Rok-Soo.

“Gege, how was it going?”

A man with red-clothed hanfu and black-patch on his left eye asked the person he called “Gege” as he strive forward on where the person was sitting.

A man with a straw-hat and long white hanfu looked at the one who called him and he smiled; “San Lang! There you are! I have succeed!”

The one he called San Lang raised an eyebrow at him as he speaks; “Is that even okay? You lift the curse from that man’s “son” and then you even answered his prayers. Even though he is also God just like you”

“He have sinned but it’s not his entirely fault about this matter. He is a God and he could only accept offerings from the humans who worshipped him as the God of War and Red Desert but then again, I couldn’t say anything about this matter but it’s unfair on his part that he is the only one who suffers and not the rest of those Gods and Goddesses of Ennead”

Xie Lian said as he sighed and San Lang, also known as Hua Cheng could see the depressed sight from his husband and he went to his side and comforted him.

“It seems like you can relate to him at all and that’s why you answered his prayers without hesitation. Do you want me to do something?”

Xie Lian looked at him as he smiled.

“Could you sent someone that could guide and teach him for the rest of his life? The person that would be at his side no matter what happens until the end of his time as a human?”

Chapter Text

=Chapter 03 – Being a Freaking Baby is Hard But Fun at the Same Time=

**SETH / KIM ROK-SOO = 5 MONTHS OLD

“Rok-Soo! Baby boy! Say… Mama!~”

“…Aaah… ahhh…~”

“No…~ Again…~ Ma-ma!~”

“….Aaahh… Gaaah….~”

Jung So-Hwa looked at his 5 month old baby son with a sighed but she smiled as she took her baby into her bossom and shower her baby into kisses that makes the baby giggled.

“So-Hwa, stop it now. Rok-Soo couldn’t breath if you continue to do that”

Jung So-Hwa looked up to see his husband had come home early and she noticed that he brought some food from the market and she went up and kissed her husband.

“Rok-Soo! Kiss Papa!~”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo did what his mother tells him as he saw it everyday so it became a daily routine for him to kiss his father when he got home from what he learned called ‘office’.

Kim Jae-Hyun is welcomed by both of his precious wife and son as both of them given him a kiss in each other’s cheeks that makes the man warm to his heart.

“I have brought Kimchi and Pork belly!~”

Kim Jae-Hyun said as he presented the paper bags on his right hand to his wife and Jung So-Hwa smiled at her husband’s foodie habbit.

Jung So-Hwa put down the baby at the high chair provided for him whenever the family eats together and when she secured that the baby won’t fall, she left to take the paper bag from his husband and went inside the kitchen to prepare.

Kim Jae-Hyun seeing his wife preparing for dinner, he went to his son’s side to looked after him while waiting for the food to be served.

“And also, I have brought some diapers and a little bit of toys for Rok-Soo! Hello, baby boy! This is for you for you!~~”

Another bag that Kim Jae-Hyun brought into and took some of the toys that he brought for his baby son.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo saw this and he giggled because he is happy that his father bought him some toys that he could play.

‘Being in a body of a baby is freaking hard but at the same time it’s fun as well. I never felt this way before in my previous life as long as I remembered’

The baby giggled at the new toys that his father gave him and he played with to entertain himself.

‘Well, since I am in a freaking baby’s body, might as well enjoy this while it last’

As he said that to himself, he entertained himself on playing while his father is looking after him while his mother is preparing for dinner.

When dinner had finished and all of the things that needs to be done for tonight, the Kim family went back to their room and since Seth / Kim Rok-Soo is still a 5-month old, the couple bring in the baby’s crib to their room and placed the baby inside.

“Good night and sweet dreams, our angel!~”

“Have a wonderful dream, our Rok-Soo!~”

Both of his parents said their good nights at Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo and of course what’s his reply? He smiled and giggled while reaching both of them using his tiny hands that makes the couple laughed warmly because of their son’s cute antics.

“We love you, our angel! our treasure!~”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at his parents and smiled at them that makes the couple cooed at him and planted many kisses on his face that makes him even more happy.

After that, the couple arrange the crib and when everything is settled, the couple kissed their baby once again and said their sweet dreams to their little treasure and then the couple went into their bed and turned off the lightshade and sleep.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo waited for about 30 minutes to 1 hour and when he moved his head to the side to looked if the couple had been asleep and when the couple is sure that they have been asleep, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo pulled off the blanket that covers the hole of the crib.

Since the crib is made of cloth and only the four pillars are made of metal, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo made a hole on the crib when nobody looked at his direction when his mother is leaving him inside the crib.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo slip through the hole and he balanced himself because his body is still a baby and he needs to be careful not to have any bruise or wounds that would appear in the next morning.

Because there is one time that he accidentally hurt himself and there is a blood in the process.

When he was the God of War and Red Desert, blood is just a normal thing for him to see because in every battle that you take, only bloods and heavy injuries that you would see in the battlefield.

However, since he is the body of a baby and baby instincts kick in, he cried loudly that makes his mother, Jung So-Hwa immediately rushed to his side and when his mother saw that his hands wounds with blood, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo saw how his mother’s face turned paled.

His mother snapped herself back then and immediately took him into her bossom and went immediately at the what Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo learned again was a ‘sink’ where you could wash your hands or dishes as from what he learned from his parents.

“My baby! What happened?! Sorry! Mama is irresponsible! Don’t cry, my precious angel!~~”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo was startled because he never expected that his mother would blame himself and didn’t shout at him because of his irresponsibility.

What’s more is that, his mother even cried because of that and it makes the former God of War and Red Desert felt a heavy pang through his chest.

His mother keeps on crying while embracing him warmly while apologizing over and over again for being irresponsible which makes him even felt guilty about it.

He never felt something like this before and it’s a new emotion for him to learned and felt for it.

For the first time in his whole life, what he felt is… secured and protective coming from a loving parent to its child.

‘She is the best mother that I could have and cherished the most! She is the one I could proudly introduce to the world as the best woman in my life.’

That’s why from then on, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo tried to be careful because he didn’t want his mother to blame herself again if he get hurt again.

When Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo manage to get down on his feet on the ground, he slowly bend down and crawl on the ground, much to his dismay.

‘I tried to practice walking but I still staggered because of my baby legs that’s too small and my mother would not leave me if I tried to practice walking because if something happens to me, she would blame herself again and I don’t want that to happened.’

So that’s why this is the perfect time for him to go somewhere while his parents are still asleep.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo keeps on crawling on the ground until he reached the door but now that he had reached his destination, he sits up and look up at the ‘giant door’ in front of him.

Well, he called it giant because in his view that’s what it looks like to him.

‘How am I going to open this thing?! But I need to go somewhere for me to learned new things about this world.’

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo only learned the basics of this world, as far as he could understand.

First thing is about the country where he resides and reborn with. Republic of Korea known as South Korea.

His name Kim Rok-Soo. Last name is Kim and Rok-Soo is his first name which is new to him because in his previous life, as he could remember, humans or Gods, they only have one name that is given to them and for the Gods when they reached the age of ceremony, they would be given titles and their divinity as their duty in Ennead.

Speaking of age of ceremony, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo remembered about what he learned of about the ‘100th day celebration’ for the newborn babies in this country.

According to them, if the baby reached the 100 days from the day they were born, means that the baby would live a long life and a better life in their future.

When his 100th day comes, his parents celebrated it with the neighbors around the area where they live and also their parents invited their friends with them.

But Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo didn’t see any relatives and families from their parents which he think that something might he didn’t know about it.

Since he was still a baby then, he couldn’t ask his parents about it. Maybe when he grows up and asked them about it.

So back then even though it’s only a simple party that his parents organize it for him, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo couldn’t help but have a warm feeling inside his heart that he didn’t feel in his previous life as the God of War.

Sure enough, the Heliopolis would only have a grand feast whenever they want as they are flaunting with each other’s luxury with everyone around them and sometimes competitions with their strengths and skills to display by everyone else.

All of those are nothing but just a show because all of the Gods and Goddesses of the Ennead think themselves are far too great on their own.

Well, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo wouldn’t say that he is not one of them as well. As the former God of War and Red Desert, who wouldn’t show their skills in everyone?

He was the commander that protected the borders of Egypt for hundreds of years and he dedicated his life on protecting those borders from the enemies.

But what it repaid him for? Betrayal and suffering.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo could tell himself that he is contented on what is given to him in his new life because he had one of the things that he wished for.

A loving parents that he wished for.

He might be a God in his previous life but… before he became a God, he was child back then.

A child who would want the attention and affection from his parents.

The parents that didn’t even give a glance at him because of his bloody crimson hair color and crimson eyes that makes him like a curse child.

He snapped on his thoughts as he focus on the matters in front of him first.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo saw many times on how his parents used this ‘giant door’ in front of him.

All it could take is that, to hold the ball-like metal that is attached on this door and just turn it around and then, it will open!

‘However, how am I going to open this ‘giant door’ if he is in the body of a baby! How I wish that I could materialized everything  with a sand but since I am a human now then, I need to think of a solution.’

« It seems like you are having the most fun of your new life then, God of War and Red Desert, Seth or should I call you now as Kim Rok-Soo? »

‘Huh?!’

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked around as he heard the familiar voice that he heard through his mind back at his previous life as the God of War and Red Desert while he was on the trial back then.

Chapter Text

=Chapter 04 – Meeting with a God and a Ghost King=

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked around at the room of his parents to find the voice that he heard but to no avail.

« Oh! I do apologize. It seems like I haven’t materialize yet. Wait for a second »

After that, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo noticed a light beam appeared in front of him and he closed his eyes because of the sudden brightness.

When the brightness had lessen, he looked at his front and he noticed the person’s glowing aura and he looked up to see this person who’s in front of him.

Even at night, he could see this person’s feature a little bit. He looked young, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo thought.

This person is wearing a white long cloth that is different from what he saw during that time when he woke up in this new world. Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo noticed that the person had something on its neck that looks like what he learned about is a ‘bandage’.

The person in front of him bend down and suddenly reach for him and take him into his arms and Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at him with a frown plastered on his baby’s face which leads to the other person chuckled even more.

« Why are you frowning about? Why not smile a little? »

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo frown even further but for the person who took into his arms, it looks like he is pouting in the process which makes the other person laughed because of that.

The baby looked at his parent’s bed to see if they were awake because of this unknown person who just suddenly appeared in the room and when he saw that there is no movement coming from them, he sighed in relief.

« Do not fear as no one could see me and only you could »

‘What does he mean? And also, how can I communicate with him if I couldn’t speak?’

The person smiled as he heard what the baby within his arms is thinking.

« I can hear your thoughts and you hear mine so just use your thoughts to communicate with me »

‘What?! How is that possible?! And also, who are you?!’

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo questioned the other person who took him within his arms and he looked at the person’s face with a frown once again (more like pouting if you asked me).

« Forgive me for not introducing myself, I am Taizi Dianxia of the Heavenly Court, Xie Lian »

‘Tai— what?! What kind of name is that?! And also Heavenly Court? What are those?’

« It seems like you are still having a hard time to pronouce some words but no worries you will learn it in no time. As for your second and thrid questions, the Heavenly Court is like Heliopolis back in your previous life where all the Gods resides »

‘Are you that powerful enough to hear my prayers back then? You said that you came from another dimension but how?’

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo doesn’t understand all of it. How come a stranger God from another dimension could have heard his prayer back when he was on the trial?

Yes, he felt deep resentment, sorrow and betrayal on his heart that he wants to burst it out so that he could breath but only a single prayer that time and he didn’t know how that works.

Xie Lian looked at the baby within his arms and he knows what the other is thinking so he filled him with answers.

« To answer on what’s on your mind, it’s not just a single prayer that you prayed for, Seth. Do you remember anything during your childhood years? »

When Xie Lian asked the baby in his arms, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo starts to think about the things that he had done during his childhood in his previous life.

During his childhood years whenever his previous life’s parents didn’t even gave him much attention unlike his other siblings could have, he spent his days alone in his room while reading the scrolls on his table with a dispirited form.

‘Why are my parents couldn’t give me an ounce of attention for once? I am their child as well, right? Why do I need to suffer like this?’

As a child, he didn’t want anything and he only wish that their parents would love him like what they are doing to his other siblings but to no avail.

‘Sometimes I wish that I have another parents who aren’t Gods so that I could feel their warm and love to me but I guess that is only a wishful thinking of mine.’

‘How I wish for a companion that would understand and will stand by my side no matter what happens.’

‘I wanted to become the God that would protect the borders of our land and would eliminate all enemies that would come by.’

‘I want to be the shield and sword for my elder brother who would become a King someday.’

‘My precious son! Anubis! I wish for him to stay healthy and free from any burdens of the world!’

‘Someone save me! Why?! Why is my elder brother have to do this to me?!’

‘I love Nephthys so much that I tried my best to become the best father that Anubis had but why?! Why did she betray me?! Anubis is not my son? No! He is still my son no matter what!’

‘I am sorry, my Anubis. In order to protect you from your biological father, I need to do this. I don’t have a choice! My son! Please, I am sorry!’

‘I am tired. I don’t know what to do anymore. I just want to end all of it. Can someone grant my desired wish?’

« There are a lot of prayers that you wish for and even those good and bad times that you have, it all accumulated into a prayer for your strongest desire to have a new family that you can call on your own, which leads me to have hear your prayer during your trial »

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo didn’t expect that even his wishes during his childhood up until his Godhood had been accumulated and because of those wishes from his sorrow, anger, betrayal had this God manage to hear his prayers.

‘Does it mean that… you have been watching me for my whole life?’

Xie Lian looked at the baby in his arms as he sighed and nodded.

« I have watched all of your life and I know that some of them are not that good as you also sinned for it but I don’t want to comment on that part because it’s not my business to judge you about it. What I am concern about is that, all of this ordeal have put you blame on it and that’s what I can’t stand with it »

Xie Lian said as he walked over to went passed through the door that makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at his back with wide baby eyes as he saw that they just went through to the door’s walls.

“Gege, have you got him?”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo heard another voice in front of them that makes him looked around and he saw another person with them who’s wearing a weird red long cloth and this person had a black patch on his left eye.

‘What does he said? I don’t understand.’

“San Lang! There you are! I just took Baby Seth or should I call him now Baby Kim Rok-Soo with me! I saw him crawling out on his crib so I took him!”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo couldn’t identify both adults in front of him if neither of them are male or female because both of them have long silky hair that could almost reach their waist, if that’s what he saw.

Also, in another note, he doesn’t understand both of them which makes him frown but for both Hua Cheng and Xie Lian, the baby is pouting which makes Xie Lian wants to cooed at the baby within his arms.

« Oh my! You’re so cute! How I wish that I would have adopted you but I need to prioritize your wish first so that’s why you were reborn as a baby in the human realm »

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked back at Xie Lian when wide eyes.

‘How come that I understand you right now but when you talked to this person with the red cloth, I don’t understand anything?’

Xie Lian chuckled because of the curiosity of the baby in his arms. He puts his finger on the baby’s forehead and therefore, a light appeared that makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo stunned by because of it.

“Gege, what are you doing?”

When the flicker of light disappeared, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo immediately looked at the person in red clothing because he can now understand what he is saying.

“…Gaaa! Buuuhhh….”

‘I can understand him! How come?!’

Hua Cheng saw that the baby is trying to say something that makes the Ghost King’s aloof and cold eyes warm at the sight of the baby in Xie Lian’s embrace.

“Can I hold him, Gege?”

Hua Cheng asked and Xie Lian smiled at his husband because he knows that he also wants to carry the baby in his arms.

Xie Lian gave Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo to Hua Cheng and the Ghost King carefully took the baby as he smiled softly at the baby.

“You have suffered enough in your previous life and from now on, no matter what happens, both me and my husband Xie Lian would guide you if you need us. Just call our names and we will be there for you, Seth or should I now call you Kim Rok-Soo”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at the red clothed person in front of him and he made a tilt on his head which makes him even more cuter to watch.

‘Who is this guy? Also, he called the other person Xie Lian a husband. Does it mean this person is his wife?’

Hua Cheng burst into laughter because he heard the little guy’s thoughts which makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo glared back at him but when you looked into it, he looks like pouting.

“Little guy. I am also a man if you haven’t noticed yet. By the way, I haven’t introduce myself to you. My name is Hua Cheng and I’m known as Crimson Rain Sought Flower. I am one of the Four Calamities of the Ghost Realm. In other words, I am a Ghost King”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo’s baby eyes looked back at him with wide eyes.

‘A Heavenly God and a Ghost King? What kind of combination is this? And on top of that, both of them are men and also a married couple?! What?’

Xie Lian looked at the exchange of words from them that makes him laughed because he could tell that the baby has now a confused expression and at the same time a shock expression as well.

“Don’t worry, our child. You will learn more about us in time. For now, let’s go to the place that you want to go first”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo wants to asked more about it but for now, he hold his questions and he needs to go at that place to learn.

Chapter Text

=Chapter 05 – I’m Sorry, Father=

After Anubis spoke to his father, the God of War and Red Desert, Seth, he leaves the trial room because he doesn’t want to watch how his father being convicted right in front of his eyes.

He hates his father and he blames him for all the sufferings that he and his mother experience.

But… does he have the right to loathe his father?

Memories of his childhood flashed through his mind when his father is not as tyrannical and cold-blooded as he is right now.

His memories of his father being taught him on how to use bows and arrows to shot, his father let him ride together with his sand chariots, his father shooting geysers at the sands whenever he wants.

Anubis also remembered one time that his father and him playing hide-and-seek and his mother Nephthys is looking for both of them and they giggled because his mother couldn’t find them.

He remembered that his father grin and giggled as well in silence as he made a “shh” sign at him and him could only nodded as they both watched his mother looking for them.

His father went around the place while carrying him and he couldn’t help but to be happy because even though his father is busy because he is the God of War and Red Desert as he is the commander of the borders to protect Egypt from being invaded.

But here he was, playing with him and makes him happy while he can.

Anubis remembered that his father fell asleep while they are hiding and he couldn’t help but feel guilty because he could tell that his father is tired from the battle while defending the borders of their land but here he was, making time for their family.

He didn’t know what went wrong because after the night of that incident, his father change drastically.

He avoided his mother like a plague and whenever he went to his father, he had the look as if someone had bothered him during his battles. He became hot-headed and become tyrannical as well.

When the news about his Uncle Osiris, their King being dead and his father Seth claimed the throne on his own as he declared that he killed Osiris which makes the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead became turmoil because of that.

His father reign Egypt into tyranny that Anubis didn’t know what to do. His mother had been imprisoned. He was abandoned and neglected by the father that he once admired and cherished.

His image of his father Seth as the revered God of War and Red Desert shattered right in front of his eyes.

Anubis tried his best to bring back the father that he once admired and love the most but in the end, it went all for naught.

He suffered from his father’s tyrannical rule over the years that he claimed the throne and all he could do is that, endured all of it.

Afterwards, when the news about the so-called son of Osiris and Isis, Horus and he declared that he challenge his father for the rights of the throne, Anubis had hope that one day, his father would wake up from his paranoia and be back to the father he was once.

Anubis only watched in the sidelines as the battle for the throne begins.

After three battles had passed, his father lose and because of unexpected events that happened, his father had been put on the trial for his crimes.

Right now, he had left the trial room to go away as he didn’t want to watch his father being convicted and even though it’s too late, he wants to remind his father as the God of War and Red Desert, not as the Evil God that they would condemn.

After some minutes had passed, he felt a familiar presence on his side and when he turned around, he got his eyes widen at the familiar silhouette at his side.

“Father!”

Anubis was startled when he noticed his father’s presence at his side. He is in the trial room, right? What is he doing in here?

His father smiled at him but his eyes screams sorrow and pain which makes Anubis didn’t understand at all.

Seth came forward and bend down to align at Anubis’ sight and he tried to touch him but to no avail as his hands went through and he chuckled bitterly.

« I guess it’s time for me to go now, my son »

Anubis noticed this and he tried to touch him as well but his hands when through to his body which makes the young demigod startled.

“W-w-what happen?! Why I can’t touch you?!”

Anubis starts to cry because he couldn’t help but to think the worst case scenario that he could imagine.

‘How is this possible! My father is a God! H-how… t-they…’

The translucent figure of Seth looked at his son Anubis with a sad smile plastered on his face.

« I love you, my Anubis. my precious son. No matter what they tell about you, you being Osiris’ biological son, you are still mine and my son alone. Remember that »

“Father! W-what—”          

« After this, the curse will be lift and you will live. However, there are times that you will feared death so before I go, my son, you must resist everything that would lead to your own death and only for that you will cling into your life »

After his father, Seth said those words to Anubis, he materialized for a moment and then embraced his son as he cried while embracing him for the last time and then, kissed his forehead that makes Anubis teared up even more.

With that, a black light appeared on Anubis’ forehead that makes the young demigod startled and hold his breath because of suffocation that he felt.

“ACCK! W-what—?! F-father…!”

« I’m sorry, my son but it will be all right within a minute so please bear with it. This is my final farewell gift for you. I just hope that if given the chance, I want us to meet again. I love you and I am sorry »

With that, his father’s silhouette disappeared which makes him want to follow where his father would be going.

“F-father! D-don’t go! Please!”

He cried as he could feel the heavy breath from his chest and he cough to catch some air and after some minutes had passed, black aura materialized around him his whole being and after that, a jackal headdress appeared to his head and he kneel on his two knees on where his father, Seth had disappeared.

“Father…”

His cursed body had now disappeared and after his father bestow something to him, now reborn as Anubis, the God of Death.

He composed himself as he couldn’t believe that he would be reborn as a God while his father is being condemn by the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead.

Anubis stood up from where he kneel and as he was about to walked back at the trial to looked at his father, a familiar crying scream that echoed throughout the hall.

“Seth wake up! What about Anubis?! SETH!”

Anubis’ body got stiffen because of that scream and he didn’t what to think any further as he run towards the trial room where his father is being held.

“FATHER!”

When he reached the trial room, all Gods and Goddesses of Ennead looked at him but Anubis didn’t spare any glance at them as he immediately when to his mother’s side.

“Mother! What happened to Father?!”

When Nephthys heard the familiar voice of his son, she looked around but was startled because of his son’s appearance and divinity.

“A-anubis?! W-what—?!”

Anubis didn’t looked at his Mother but only his eyes are focus on his Father’s body within his Mother’s embrace.

“Mother… I-I saw Father a-and… and he said that he is sorry and he loves me so much. Mother, why is Father like that?”

When Anubis’ statement is heard by the other Gods and Goddesses of Ennead, all of them looked at the young demigod— No, the new God that’s in front of them with wide eyes.

“What do you mean, Anubis?! You have talked to Seth’s soul before he dies?!”

Isis asked his nephew and when he heard the word “death”, he got startled by it.

“W-what do you mean my father is dead?! He is not dead! We are Gods! How come that my Father dies?!”

Anubis took his Father in his Mother’s embrace and he tried his best to wake up his Father who had some dried blood splattered on his body that he deduced that his Father had been cough off blood through his mouth because that’s the most blood had is.

“Father wake up! Y-you… promise me, right? What happened?! Why?!”

Anubis embrace his Father’s body tightly as he cried but not longer than that, he noticed the lights that surrounds his Father’s body which makes him looked at it with baffled expression.

The Gods and Goddesses of Ennead watch as Seth’s body has covered some lights around his body and most of them looked at Ra’s side.

“What’s the meaning of this, Ra?!”

Isis shouted at the Sun Goddess as she saw the lights that covered his youngest siblings body.

Ra, on the other hand, didn’t know what is happening as she speak.

“I don’t know! Why are you accusing me?! I haven’t done anything yet!”

Anubis didn’t have the time to listens to the other Gods and Goddesses argued with each other as he cried in his Father’s body that he could tell that in any minute, his Father would be cease to exist in their lands.

And he was right.

Seth’s body that covers with light burst into particles that went into air as the winds come by and the body of the former God of War and Red Desert is nowhere to be found.

‘I am sorry, Father. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have hated you and I should have tried to understand you better but I was clouded by your abandonment and your negligence to me that leads to our broken bond as a family.’

When Seth’s body had disappeared in their sight, all of the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead went into chaos because not only the former God of War and Red Desert had his body and soul dies, even his divinity of the sand disappears as well with him.

Without the power of the sand, the balance of the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead turned into chaos and the borders of their land would leave unprotected.

=Chapter 06 – Time to Learn New Things=

**SETH / KIM ROK-SOO = 7 MONTHS OLD

It’s been two months since Xie Lian and Hua Cheng first visited Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo when he got reborn in this new world.

The place that Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo wants to go is none other than his father’s study room because from what he saw back then, his father had a lot of what they called as “books” and Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo conclude that these so-called books are just like the scrolls back at his previous life.

Just thinking about Thoth’s study room just like his father makes him want to go there because for all he knew is that, those kinds of rooms who had a lot of scrolls, now books are the things that would help him to gain knowledge in this new world where he lives right now.

According to his mother, his father works as a editor of some publishing house for all he doesn’t know what that means but since he plans to go at his father’s study room to learned then, no worries.

When the three of them have reached his father’s study room, both the Heavenly God and the Ghost King went through the walls without using the “giant door”, as Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo describe it for his own preference.

He also went through as well maybe because he is being held by the Ghost King and he felt a protective warm coming from the other person which makes him even more comfortable for some reasons.

“….Baaa…Guuuhh…”

‘Books! Give me books! Damn it! I can’t speak properly because of this stupid baby mouth of mine! Also, my teeth seems itchy for some reasons!’

Xie Lian and Hua Cheng heard the little guy said something through his mind which makes the married couple chuckled because of the baby’s frustration that they could feel from him.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo frown, or more like pouting because of the two adults who just chuckled because of his frustration.

“…Aaahh!.... Bwaahh!...”

‘Goddamn it! Stop laughing both of you! It’s not funny!’

The baby pout even more that it makes him cross his tiny arms around himself and that makes the married couple laughed hard that makes their stomach would go ache because of the antics of the baby with them.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo felt like would want to tear up not just because of the two adults laughing at him, his baby instincts kick on him that makes him want to cry because he couldn’t do want he wants.

“…Uwaaah….”

‘For the love of Isis, please stop crying, self! Damn it!’

Xie Lian and Hua Cheng stopped laughing when they felt that the baby with them starts to feel gloomy and Xie Lian, as a softie he is, he took the baby from Hua Cheng’s embrace and he cuddle the baby in his arms.

“Shh! There, there, baby! We are sorry for laughing at you, our precious child. You want books? Mama would get it for you!”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo stopped crying when he heard the words coming from Xie Lian and his teary-doe eyes looked at Xie Lian as he tilt his head with a baffled expression.

‘Mama? Your not my mother! Hmp!’

The baby wipe his tears with his tiny chubby hands and Xie Lian just chuckled because of the angry baby within his arms.

“Well, the moment you have reborn in this world, aside from your biological parents, we also decided to take care of you as our child as well, our dear child”

Xie Lian said as he looked at his husband who had a warm glint plastered on his eyes and Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo was startled because of the words coming from Xie Lian as he couldn’t believe it.

‘W-what?! B-but…why?’

He only asked as he looked at the two adults with a conflicted feeling.

“There is no reason for it, our child. When your soul was about to shattered because of extreme resentment that you felt, I have manage to calm you down and I was about to take you with me in the Heavenly Court but I just remembered that your greatest desire is to have a loving parents and siblings on your own so that’s why I decided to let you reborn to another world”

Xie Lian explain at the baby within his embrace and Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked back at him with a almost teary doe baby eyes of his which makes the married couple warm at him even more.

“Gege wants to keep you at our side but he prioritize your wishes first so that’s why he let you reborn in a family that is not too rich but not too poor. Just like a middle-class family that could provide your basic needs as a child and also love and caring as well”

Hua Cheng continued to explain that makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo felt something that he didn’t felt before in his previous life as the God of War and Red Desert.

Love, care, happiness and many other positive feelings that he didn’t feel from his previous life are now that he would feel for the people who would care for him.

Aside from his biological parent’s love and cherished for him, the other married couple who are not related to him but they still gave him the love and support that he would need.

Which he is grateful for them.

‘Okay. If you guys say so… Mama and Papa’

From then on, whenever Xie Lian and Hua Cheng had time, they would visit Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo during night and both of them teaching the baby the things that he needs to know.

Not just that, Hua Cheng also gifted Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo some of his wraith butterfiles to accompany him which makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo fascinated because of those silver-like creatures that are swarming around him.

For that one, only Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo could see those butterflies that swarming around him and it would always by his side no matter where he goes which makes him even more grateful for his Papa since that’s what the Ghost King wants to call him for.

Right now, he is within his Mama Xie Lian’s embrace as he keeps on reading on the books within his father’s study room and in just two months, he had learn something that could shock him even more.

He is also using his father’s what he learned about is a “computer” and since his Mama and Papa didn’t know that much about the things in this world as from what he learned about them that they came from rather an “ancient era”, he could only self-study about the world’s knowledge.

Sometimes his Mama and Papa would help him and assist him for some things that he didn’t quite understand.

There are a lot of things that made him shock to the core such is;

Marrying your own sibling in this world is a forbidden one. As in, literally.

‘The heck?! Marrying ones sibling is considered a taboo in this world! Just thinking about it now makes me want to puke for some reason!’

=Chapter 07 – Being a Human and a God is Just the Same=

Just thinking about it makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo felt shivers down to his spine because of that.

‘Well… we, the Gods didn’t know that marrying a sibling is a taboo for us since we didn’t care about it. As long as the bloodline of the Gods remains, it seems.’

In just a few months before he could read all the books in his father’s study room, he learned first the language of the country he is living in.

The language is called Korean and the writing system is called Hangul. At first, when he is learning this language and writing system, he got dizzy because of the unfamiliar signs of these letters and the language itself.

Whenever his mother would brought him out when they went to the market, he could only listen to the conversations of the adults in front of him and tried to imitate them.

By doing this, his mother noticed that he would try to speak their language which made his mother feel proud of him.

“Baby Rok-Soo! It’s okay for not speaking too soon and you will get to that! Just stay for being a baby for a while so that we could cuddle you and pamper you since you are our precious child that God gave us!”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo remembered that day and so, as an obedient child, he didn’t try to speak for now but only do some gibberish tone like, …Baaaa….Guuuhhh…. something like that so his mother wouldn’t worry for now.

He is only a months old baby so it would be suspicious if he talk too soon enough.

However, he doesn’t want like that he didn’t know some things when his mind is actually a hundred years old God but in a body of a baby.

So that’s why every night that they will go to sleep, Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo would always sneak out from his crib and since he had some of the wraith butterflies that is given to him by his Papa Hua Cheng, his sneaking skills are too good and his parents wouldn’t notice that he was gone on his crib.

Right now, he is holding some books that he could understand a little while Xie Lian is holding him and the Heavenly God couldn’t help but to smile at the concentration that Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo is doing.

“You are so eager to learned from the new things in this world. Could you tell me what are the things that you manage to learn?”

Xie Lian asked him and Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at his Mama as he speaks through his mind.

‘There are a lot of things in this new world that I am new to it. Just like marrying a sibling in this world is a taboo and immoral.’

Xie Lian nodded as he already knew about it as he explains.

“Yes, that is correct. Marrying a sibling is considered a taboo and immoral to human’s code. Even the distant relatives from the branch family could be considered as a taboo as well but not in the ancient era where I came from”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at him as he explained those things because it could help him as well in better understanding these new family dynamics of the new world.

“In my world, arrange marriages are common thing especially for those people who came from a noble or royal bloodline. To secure the political alliances, there are some heirs and heiresses would gave up true love because they need to fulfill their roles in their each respective families”

‘Sounds like a loveless marriage would result.’       

“Exactly. When I was still a human back then, I was the Crown Prince of our Kingdom and its my duty to fulfill the role and responsibility of being the next Emperor of our Kingdom but I didn’t because when I was 17 years old, I ascended to the Heavenly Court”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at his Mama when he heard the story of his life as a human.

‘So it means… you are a human before you became a God?! And wait, what is this ascension all about?’

Xie Lian looked at the baby within his arms as he ask those questions as he speaks.

“In our world, ordinary humans can cultivate through immortality and the higher you cultivate, the better chances for you to ascend into Godhood. However, not all cultivators could ascend to Godhood even though they have reach higher cultivation level”

There are some terms that Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo doesn’t understand at all but he set aside those terms for a while and he would study those if ever.

But he didn’t expect that his Mama was once a human before he became a God.

‘But why did you choose to become a God when you can be a human and can be with your loved ones?’

When Xie Lian heard those words coming from his baby boy, he smiled but Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo could tell that his smiles didn’t reach through his eyes and he felt sad as well.

Because he always remembered that his Mama Xie Lian always smiles at him and never had that bitter smile on his face right now which means that there is something about the time he was once a human and he doesn’t want to pry on it because he could tell that… maybe, just maybe….

Both of them had similar experiences.

Xie Lian snapped himself as he smiled back at the baby within his arms as he speaks.

“Being a God or a Human is just the same. Although not the same when it comes to lifespans but both are still the same when it comes to emotions and morals. So that’s why, even though you are now a human, never forget that you are once a God and remember how to differentiate both of them. Never lose yourself once again”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo nodded on what his Mama Xie Lian said to him and although it’s nothing but an advice but for a once God like him, that simple advice means something to him.

Something that he would bring it for the rest of his life…

When Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at what he learned about a “clock”, a device that could tell you what time it is and when he saw that it would be less than an hour before sunrise, he looked at his Mama Xie Lian.

‘I need to go back now before my parents would wake up’

Xie Lian knew that is would be any hour that Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo’s parent would wake up and he stood up as he carefully embrace the baby within his arms and they both went through to the wall and walked at the room where his parents are still sleeping.

After that, they have arrived and they saw that Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo’s parents are still asleep that Xie Lian carefully put him back on the crib and put a blanket on him and after that, Xie Lian planted a soft kiss to the baby’s forehead which makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo smiled at him.

‘Thank you. See you again!’

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo learned how to say “thank you” as he always heard it from his mother to his father or from other people in their neighbourhood.

When he asked this to his Mama Xie Lian, he explains that… saying “thank you” to someone is a simple yet a kind meaning gratitude towards others and it means that you are grateful if someone lend a helping hand with you without asking for material return and only kindness can be repaid.

He didn’t know if he ever done that to his previous life as a God but it looks like he never did because he thought that he doesn’t need to do that and Gods don’t bow down to others.

However, just learning about this simple yet kind word, it makes Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo’s worldview change and he knows that in the future, all his previous principles in life would change as well.

Xie Lian smiled at the baby that he puts on the crib as he remembered something so he speaks.

“Our child, do you want to visit the Heavenly Court? The other Heavenly Officials knows about you and they are eager to meet you”

=Chapter 08 – The Truth Shall be Revealed=

As the news about the former God of War and Red Desert died, the whole Heliopolis had been in chaos since then.

Not only the former God had died but also his body, soul and his divinity disappeared as well with some unknown reasons.

Without the divinity of the sand that controls and protects the borders of Egypt, enemies from other lands would tried to conquer them and wage war since the great warrior that shed blood and the greatest commander of Egypt is no longer exist.

The Gods and Goddesses of Ennead tried their best not to leak this news outside their borders and they need to prepare themselves since they are on their own now.

Without the aide of the former God of War and Red Desert, as well as his divinity of the sand, there are some of them are powerful but they would be on disadvantage since none of them are a warrior, unlike Seth.

Horus, the new reigning King of Egypt after the defeat and the death of his Uncle that he took up the throne and to clean of what his Uncle had left him to do.

Anubis, the newly reborn God of Death stayed at Heliopolis with his mother after he witness on how his father’s body had disappeared in front of him, in front of the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead.

Anubis felt guilty and at the same time rage as well for the other Gods and Goddesses who condemn his father as if his father is the main culprit when it’s not the case.

He learned something that makes him want to kill someone.

The one who drove his father into madness.

After the death of his father and his unknown disappearance of his body, soul and even his divinity had been taken away for some unknown reason, he left Heliopolis for the time being to think carefully.

Since he became the newly God of Death, he tried to find any trace of his father’s soul within their world but no avail.

After a year away, he went back to Heliopolis and to be with his mother since she is the only one he had.

When he came back, he confronted Horus, their newly King and ask for his audience in private.

Which Horus permitted and when the two cousins (brothers?) are the only ones who had left alone in Horus’ office, Anubis directly looked at his cousin (brother?) as he speaks.

“You know something, right?”

Anubis asked him bluntly which makes Horus got startled by the sudden question coming from his cousin (brother?).

Horus could sense an emitting anger coming from the God of Death’s gaze as he looked back at him and Horus didn’t know what to do anymore.

He couldn’t hide it to his cousin (brother?) and Horus knew that Anubis has the right to know about the incident since he is Uncle Seth’s son and even though Anubis is not Seth’s biological son, his Uncle still cherished Anubis and he doesn’t care if Anubis is not his son or what.

Which makes Horus felt jealous because Anubis could have his Uncle’s love and even his dying breathe, Seth calls for Anubis in his hoarse voice.

Horus chuckled bitterly as he remembered that day on the trial where he held his Uncle’s trembling hands as if reaching for someone and he foolishly held his Uncle’s hand assuming that he is the one he wants to reach for it.

His Uncle called for his name that time and when he heard it, he felt happy but at the same time felt sorrow as well because he knows that deep inside his Uncle’s heart, the one he wants to be with is none other than his precious son, Anubis.

‘Me and Anubis are biologically brothers so why I can’t have the warm and love that Uncle Seth had for Anubis?’

Horus snapped on his own thoughts as he looked at his cousin’s (brother’s?) eyes as he thought.

‘It seems like… he had an idea on what happened to Uncle Seth on that night of the incident. He just wants to confirm if his suspicious is correct.’

Horus thought and he hesitated to speak since he promised to his Uncle that he wouldn’t let others to know about that incident but…

He took a deep breathe as he speaks.

“Yes, I know. I promise to Uncle Seth that I wouldn’t tell about what happened on that night that he became mad. He wants to protect his honor as well as you and your mother”

Horus said in a guilty tone and Anubis felt his legs went stiff because he didn’t need further explanation because he had confirm his suspicion as he clenches his fists and he looked at Horus in rage.

“You knew. But your mother, Isis, knew as well, right?”

Anubis’ firm voice that rang inside Horus’ room and he felt ashamed as he could only nodded as confirmation.

When Horus acknowledge that his mother knew it as well, Anubis felt like his world shattered because of the confirmation of his suspicions on that incident and he couldn’t help but to looked at Horus with rage but he restrain himself as he heard the other’s reason.

‘Horus knew but he didn’t speak because he promised to my father to keep that incident a secret. Of course, my father would be ashamed if the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead knew the whole truth about what Osiris had done with him.’

Horus watch as Anubis stumbled down on where he stood and he felt guilty because he had betrayed his uncle as he promised that no one would know about that incident but he couldn’t take it anymore.

Every night he is plague by his uncle’s dying body and he always keep on dreaming about the trial and his childhood where he had first met his uncle as he was held in those strong yet warm arms as he cried for his precious son.

Both cousins (brothers?) stood still on where they are and a couple of minutes that they didn’t talk with each other and after that, Anubis broke the silence between them.

“What do you feel about your father? To Osiris?”

Horus looked back at him as he heard the question and he doesn’t know how to reply.

What does he feel? He didn’t know.

When he was young, all he knows about his father is coming from his mother’s mouth but he had never met the said father in his younger years as a child.

He had met him during the time when both him and his mother had gone back to Heliopolis to challenge his Uncle for the throne.

He didn’t have a time to talk with his father as he didn’t felt like it because he doesn’t have good feelings for him as a parent. He only cared for his mother and no one else.

“I don’t know. I haven’t met him during my days as a child and only got to meet him when me and my mother went back to Heliopolis to challenge Uncle for the throne”

Horus stated and Anubis looked back at his cousin (brother?) when he said those words and when he heard that, he felt the weight on his chest lift up.

“If I planned to reveal the whole truth to everyone, your mother will also inflicted on it as she also knew the whole ordeal but didn’t stop it from happening. Your mother will not be punished because if the other Gods and Goddesses did that, Heliopolis will crumble”

Anubis calmly said as he looked at Horus to gouge his reaction behind that falcon headdress of his.

The God of Death didn’t care about what will happen if Heliopolis will crumble because he felt anger for all the unfair treatment that they had to inflicted on his father and his father is the only one who paid for that crime.

However, Anubis didn’t want Heliopolis to crumble and to be conquered by other Gods and Goddesses of different lands as his father, the former God of War and Red Desert who protected the borders of Egypt for hundreds of years and Anubis knew that this is the only thing that he would feel connected to his father after his mysterious death that time.

Even though they didn’t have the divinity of the sand to protect the borders, Anubis will protect it’s land in place of his deceased father.

Anubis had learned that his actual father is none other than Osiris as his mother had an affair with him which resulted him being conceived.

However, Anubis didn’t care about that because the only father that he would acknowledge is none other than his father (uncle?) Seth.

Anubis had happy memories about his father Seth and he wouldn’t exchange those memories of his to anything else.

Sure, his father is a tyrant and he became a cold-blooded murderer who killed thousands of people and he can’t comment to that but what about the unfair treatment that he received? To be the only God to be convicted on those crimes?

His father only became like that because Osiris drove him into madness! His father who is strong yet gentle when it comes to him and his mother had gone because of that bastard!

“Anubis, if you planned to reveal on what happened on that incident, what would Uncle feel about this?”

Horus reasoned out and Anubis looked back at him.

“What? You want to protect your parents, then so be it! I want to protect mine as well by revealing the whole truth about that incident! My father is long gone, Horus! I can’t even sense his soul around our lands and I travelled far and wide to find him but it went for naught! I just want to give justice for my father’s unfair treatment and his unknown death!”

Anubis shouted back at him and it doesn’t matter if Horus in the King of Egypt or what.

What matters to him is that, he wants to gave justice to his father and no one else!

‘As much as I want for Isis and Osiris to be punished like what happened to my father but I can’t. If that happens, Heliopolis will crumble. We were all be at disadvantage if another God has perished.’

Anubis hated it when he can’t do anything about it but since the Ennead couldn’t punish those two then, Anubis wants their reputation to be tarnished like what they have done to his father.

For all Anubis knew about Osiris is that, that bastard doesn’t care about honor or reputation at all.

Isis, however, he knew that b*tch would care about her reputation at all and Anubis wants to ripped that Goddess of Magic with his own hands but Anubis can’t do that.

That woman is nothing but a petty jealous b*tch who thinks that she is the only victim of all this matter when in fact that his father suffered the most of it!

His father, Seth, suffered the most and he is the only God that has been condemn by all of these hypocrite Gods and Goddesses of Ennead.

And Osiris….

To think that the “most benevolent and gentle king” would do something so shameless as to rape his own brother because of his obssession to him!

It makes Anubis felt sick when he learned about what Osiris had done to his father and he wants to puke whenever he thinks about it.

His mother, Nephthys, for sure that she is kept in the dark as she didn’t know what happened to his husband and brother that makes him to become the tyrant that everyone knew.

Sure, Anubis knew that his mother felt guilty for betraying his father and Anubis thought that’s the reason why his father became like that.

But he never expected that something like these would happen upon learning the whole truth!

‘That sick bastard is at fault of all of these! No wander that my father killed him.’

Anubis clenches his fists as he looked once again at Horus and said.

“If you still cared about my father then, don’t try to stop me from what I am doing!”

After that, Anubis left Horus as he didn’t wait for his answers.

When Anubis left, Horus could only looked as the God of Death’s silhouette disappeared on the path where he walked into and he sighed.

‘Uncle Seth, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to betray your words but Anubis has the right to know and I know that you want to protect him but he is no longer a child anymore. He is now a God that you wished for.’

Horus thought as he felt a bitter feeling about it.

For seven years after the unknown death of the former God of War and Red Desert, Anubis had confronted both Isis and Osiris into the trial and from that moment on, the truth has been revealed to everyone in front of the Ennead.

“How dare you, both of you! Have you guys no shame at all! Why?! Why, Osiris?! Because of you, I have lost my youngest son!”

The one who shouted is none other than Nut, the Goddess of the Sky and the mother of Osiris, Isis,Nephthys and Seth.

Osiris, on the other hand, when he learned that his beloved brother Seth has been perished and not even his body and soul can be traced, couldn’t handle the heartbreak that he felt because he never expected this to happen.

‘I never wanted this. I-I… I just love Seth and nothing else. Why did he die like that?! Even his body and soul had been perished within this lands and I couldn’t find a single trace of him! Where is he?! Is he really gone for good? I-i-is… Is it really my fault? Is it my fault for loving him? I-I just want him!’

Osiris felt like his life would end because of this and he wishes for it to be gone as well since Seth is no longer in this world but he can’t. He believe that one day, Seth would return.

And if that day comes, what would he do? Would he freed him from his sufferings? How can he do that?

Osiris is reflecting on himself in front of the Ennead and the Gods and Goddesses looked at the two on the trial with a hint of disgust and rage because they never expected that something like this would happen.

Who wouldn’t thought there is something like this would happen? No wonder that during the trial seven years ago Seth refuse to scale his heart and tell the truth because it’s humiliating thing to think that his brother that he served all his life had raped him and obsessing him!

Nut cried on his husband and brother Geb, the God of the Earth, and Geb tried his best to comfort his wife and sister as he glared at the two who are the perpetrators of the incident that happen that changes to what they knew about Seth.

Nephthys felt like her legs went numb upon learning the whole truth about Seth and Anubis was there to assist his mother when Nephthys was about to breakdown.

“W-w-what?! O-osiris… w-w-what have you….I-is that the reason why you… Ahhhh!”

Nephthys breakdown as she cried and stumbled down on the ground and cried even harder that it feels like she would be mad because of how much guilt that she feel.

Anubis looked at the direction on where Isis and Osiris had stood in front of the Ennead as they were called for the trial because of what happen to Seth seven years ago.

Anubis let his mother to calm down as his face became darken under his headdress because of another truth that he had collected.

From that incident happen, not just Osiris raped Seth but also threaten his father Seth for Anubis’ life which makes the God of Death even more shaken on the fact that his father Seth is protecting him from Osiris!

‘Father, why?! Why must you suffered because of me!’

Anubis went forward on where the two perpetrators and he charge forward at Osiris and he gave the other God a good punch on his face and Osiris didn’t have the time to react as Anubis when in front of him and punch him on his face, which caught him off guard.

“Anubis, stand down! We are on the trial!”

Thoth said as he reasoned out for the God of Death and Anubis looked back at them as he speak.

“Not just Osiris raped my father, he also threaten him in exchange for my life! My father, Seth is protecting me from this bastard! That’s why he became the tyrant that we all know!”

Anubis glared at Osiris who is now on the ground because of the punch that Anubis gave him and he glared at the Goddess of Magic and speak.

“Isis saw the whole ordeal and yet she didn’t even help my father but instead, cast a curses to them as if she is the only victim of that incident! How dare you, you petty jealous b*tch!”

Anubis was about to charge at Isis as well when Geb restrain his grandson from doing any further action.

“Let me go! Let me go! Give me back my father! My father! Waaahhh!”

Anubis struggled to free himself from Geb and he cried under his headdress and he knows that what he was doing right now is unbecoming as a God but he didn’t matter at all.

Because even though he is now a God, in his heart, he is still a child that is longing for his death father who had give injustice for his death.

‘They were his family! They were siblings but what happen?! Why?! Why did that bastard Osiris happen to be obssessed with my father?! Why did he drive him into madness?!’

“Anubis! Son! Please stop!”

Nephthys had tried herself to calm down and then went into her son’s side and hug him from behind while crying.

Anubis stop struggling when he heard his mother called out for him and restrain him any further by hugging him from behind.

The God of Death could tell that his mother is shaken by the fact about what happen to his husband/brother that night and Anubis couldn’t help but to clenches his fist because of anger for his father.

Horus, on the other hand, is watching the trial that is being held in front of him and he didn’t say anything in defense for his parents because he knew the truth as well and it makes him sick just by thinking about it.

‘To think that father’s obsession to Uncle Seth had reach like that and mother didn’t do anything to stop it and just became a bystander as the incident happen.’

He felt ashamed for himself and he didn’t stop Anubis because he knew what his cousin (brother?) feel about it.

‘If only I was born and could have prevented it, what could have happen? Do I have the power to prevent it or just became a bystander just like what my mother did?’

Horus didn’t know how to answer that because he didn’t know as well of what could have done to prevent those tragedy that happen to his Uncle.

Not just that, he couldn’t tell to everyone what feelings he is harboring for his Uncle and the fact that this feelings didn’t fade away.

‘It would be disgusting for them if they knew that I am harboring some feelings to Uncle Seth and they would think that I am just like my father Osiris but I know I am not. I admit to myself that I love my Uncle but not the way that Osiris does. I respect my uncle and I am ashamed that I have force myself to him before but I was under the spell and I didn’t want that.’

For seven years, Horus didn’t looked for any Goddess that even his mother tried him to but he just focus on his work as the King and make Egypt a better place, even without the protection of the sands that would protect their borders from the enemies.

For seven years, there are countless enemies tried to invade them and most of the time, people suffered and the other Gods and Goddesses unite to protect their lands.

Since the former God of War and Red Desert is no longer exist, as well as his divinity of the sand, they could only depend on themselves to protect their lands.

Horus is seated at the King’s Throne and could only watch the trial of his parents and he didn’t intervene because he knows that they deserve it.

Horus loves his mother very much but the sins that she committed, he didn’t know if he could forgive his mother for that.

‘If she could have intervene, would Uncle Seth would still alive?’

Horus watch as his cousin (brother?) comforting his mother who broke down because of what she had learned about Uncle Seth’s situation.

“Horus, as the King of Egypt, what punishment would befit by these two Gods who had committed a terrible sin? I know they are your parents but remember this, you are a King first before their son. You need to settle this fairly and I hope that you have a better judgement for this”

Ma’at, the Goddess of Truth and Justice speaks as she looked at Horus with determination on her eyes.

At the same time, Ma’at felt guilty for what happen to Seth seven years ago as she didn’t expect that would happen when she stripped him off his divinity, which is the first time that happen to them.

Ma’at knew that she execute it well and make sure that Seth wouldn’t have a side effect when she stripped him off his divinity but who would have thought that would happen?

Now upon learning the truth, she felt even more ashamed of herself to be called the Goddess of Truth and Justice as she didn’t even gave a proper judgement of Seth’s trial and not just that….

She even caused the former God of War and Red Desert to die and vanished without reasons!

Ma’at, for the first time in her hundreds of years, she became somewhat afraid of her own divinity.

Gods and Goddesses can’t be stripped away their own divinity as it’s their own birth right when they come of age and it’s their symbol and strength as well.

However, with Ma’at, as the Goddess of Truth and Justice, she served as the Judge of the Court of Ennead and has the power to stripped off any God’s or Goddesses’ divinity when they commit an unforgivable crime, just like what she had done to Seth’s trial seven years ago.

Seth’s only crime is that for the deaths of the countless innocent people that he had killed during his reign and it’s right for her as the Goddess of Truth and Justice to stripped off his divinity and exiled him in Heliopolis.

But she didn’t expect that her powers would backfired and that had caused Seth’s life, as well as his divinity of the sand to be perished as well with unknown reasons.

However, Ma’at questioned herself that… Is it entirely Seth’s fault?

From what she remembered about the former God of War and Red Desert, Seth is not entirely a tyrant like what he had been showing before that incident happen.

Seth might be a hot-headed man and a temperamental as well but the way he took care of his family and his son Anubis, Ma’at could tell that Seth cherished his family and he is not a power hungry person like what others stated.

Upon learning the truth of what happen, Ma’at wants to take punishment for herself as she let herself be clouded by the rumors and lies around her.

She is the Goddess of Truth and Justice! So why during at Seth’s trial had she didn’t catch up Seth’s abnormal behavior?!

Seth is a great actor as he can hide even the slightest detail if he wants to! So why she didn’t get doubt about that?!

To protect his son which is not technically his, Seth gave up even his pride as a man to cater Osiris’ sickening obsession to him!

Ma’at never became this angry for his whole life as a Goddess.

When Horus heard what Ma’at told him, he thinks about it as well.

Sure, he could decree that his parents could stripped off their divinity as well, just like what happen to Uncle Seth but he needs to think about this.

If he passed the judgement, if they removed another God or Goddess, Heliopolis would be in chaos if another one of them is out.

They don’t have the divinity of the sands that could protect the borders of Egypt and the mysterious death of the former God of War and Red Desert, Horus is also conflicted what to do.

He wants to give justice for his Uncle who had been judge unfairly but he also needs to think about his people as a King.

‘Uncle Seth, if you were here, what would you do? What would be a befitting punishment for these two siblings that have betrayed you?’

Horus mentally chuckled to himself as if his Uncle Seth would have heard his thoughts.

« You… should…. know…. what’s…. best…. for….. everyone…. Horus… »               

Horus got startled as he stood up from his throne and looked around; “Uncle Seth?”

He roamed around to looked for that voice who had speak to his mind and the rest of the Ennead someone saw his weird actions which makes all of them looked at him with a confused look.

“Uncle Seth? Are you talking about Seth, Horus? Can you hear him?!”

Thoth was the one who is near at Horus’ throne and when Horus said those words, Thoth had exclaimed which makes the whole Ennead heard it.

“Horus, what do you mean?! Why are you calling Seth’s name?!”

Nut asked his grandson and she hoped that maybe…. just maybe her son is still within their lands and his soul is only roamed around.

“UNCLE SETH! Can you hear me?! What do you mean?!”

Horus shouted as he looked around once more to looked for that voice that he heard through his mind.

« Think…. about…. your…. people…. and ….. be…. a …..great…. King….. Horus…..Please…. take…. care…. of…. Anubis….. and …..yourself….. »

Anubis shot up to looked at the throne and shouted; “Horus! Can you hear my father’s voice?!”

The God of Death’s voice is full of hope as he looked up to where Horus’ throne is.

After a minute, a gust of powerful wind erupted inside the Court of Ennead and they saw the sands that has not been moved for seven years because of the lost of the former God of War and Red Desert is now moving inside the Court, which makes the Ennead got startled because of this phenomena.

All of them closed their eyes because of the sands got in their eyes as the powerful wind came across them and after that, the sands and winds had stopped and all of the Ennead looked around to looked for a certain God in hopes to see him.

“Uncle Seth? Is that you?”

Horus backed down when he saw the silhouette of the former God of War and Red Desert besides him and the said silhouette glowed like a sun that could be compared to Ra’s and the silhouette looked at Horus as he nodded at him.

“Father?!”

Anubis exclaimed as he saw his father and rushed forward from where he stood, leaving his mother behind and all he could think is none other than his father’s presence that appeared right in front of them.

« Anubis….. Horus…..»

“FATHER!” “UNCLE SETH!”

Chapter Text

=Chapter 09 – The Heavenly Officials meets Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo=

=HEAVENLY COURT=

“Is that him?”

“Wow! What a cute baby!”

“Dianxia! Is that him? That means…”

“He is our precious prince!”

“Let me see! Let me see!”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo; “….”

‘What are these idiots hogging around?! Mama!’

Xie Lian chuckled as he embraced the baby within his arms and he looked around as he said; “Okay! Okay! No need to hog around within the baby! He is having a tantrum right now”

‘I am not! What are these idiots going around and pinching me all over?!’

The baby is punching in the air with his tiny little hands which makes the heavenly officials cooed at the baby within Xie Lian’s embrace and some of them wants to take the baby to play with.

“Alright, everyone. Why not introduce yourselves to our little grumpy prince here?”

‘I am not grumpy! Mama!’

Xie Lian laughed even harder when he heard what the baby said through his mind which makes the baby frown even further but for the others, it looks like he is just pouting, which makes him earn another cooing from the Heavenly Officials.

“My name is Pei Ming, one of the Martial Gods and known as General Ming Guang of the North. At your service, My Prince” A man wearing a metal-like suit called armor and he winked at the baby and Seth / Kim Rok-Soo shivered because he suddenly remembered someone that he shouldn’t remember.

Xie Lian saw the baby’s reaction and he glared back at Pei Ming; “Cease your flirting, Pei Ming or do you want to face the wrath of my husband?”

Hearing Xie Lian’s threat, Pei Ming coughs as he averted his gaze at the Heavenly Emperor as he didn’t want to enrage him even more or so, if his husband caught the wind about this matter.

The other officials snickers at Pei Ming because of his womanizing and also, even though Seth / Kim Rok-Soo is a former God, as they were told by Xie Lian beforehand, that God is now in a body of a freaking baby! This idiot!

“Ahem! My turn! Hello, our dear Prince. My name is Feng Xin, a Martial God as well and known as General Nan Yang of the Southeast. Pleasure to finally meet you” A man who wears long black robes and boots and has an air of a warrior from Seth / Kim Rok-Soo’s perspective.

‘Hey, you! Let’s fight!’

Feng Xin’s polite demeanor disappears and he raised an eyebrow looking at the baby within Xie Lian’s embrace as he heard the baby’s inner thoughts.

“Brat, you’re still a long way to go if you want to challenge me”

Cocky as he is, a smug appeared within Feng Xin’s lips as he looked at the sulking baby who glared back at him.

‘Just you wait, you freak moron!’

“Pffft! It looks like our prince had some attitude here. Don’t bother with that jerk as he is nothing but a muscle head. I’m Mu Qing, a Martial God and known as General Xuan Zhen of the Southwest. I welcome you to the Heavenly Court, Prince”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at the other God who introduce himself and he suddenly remembered Thoth. Him and this Mu Qing had a similar aura of a scholar in his opinion.

“The Prince sure is quite grumpy. Well, he was a former God as well and is given the chance to live his life in the mortal realm. My name is Ling Wen Zhen Jun, you can just address me as Ling Wen. I’m a Civil Goddess who oversees the general affairs within the Heavenly Court. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Prince.”

After Ling Wen introduce herself, another voice can be heard and most of the officials are now sighing because they knew what will happen next.

“Kyaahh! I want him, Dianxia! He is so freaking cute!”

Another Goddess appeared and she immediately snatch the baby within Xie Lian’s embrace before the said Heavenly Martial Emperor could react but knowing this person, Xie Lian could only sigh and face palm to himself.

‘H-hey! C-can’t… b-breathe! F*ck! What was this woman’s chest?!’

Before Xie Lian could warn the other Goddess, the said Goddess release the baby from its suffocating embrace and she looked at the baby’s face as she smiled.

“Welcome, dear prince! My name is Shi Qingxuan, I’m one of the Elemental Masters of the Heavenly Court known as Lord Wind Master. You may address me as Aunt or Uncle, or whatever it is!”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked at the Goddess who snatch him from his Mama’s embrace and he frown because he felt that something is not right about this Goddess.

‘You’re different. I can’t tell what but…. There is something weird about you…’

Shi Qingxuan heard this, and she didn’t look offended as she burst into laughter because of the baby’s thoughts.

“Dianxia! The Prince has a sharp observation and he can tell that something isn’t right about me! Haha! You are right about that, little prince! May I show you?”

After that, Shi Qingxuan’s body transforms and baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo who was still within the Goddess’s embrace looked shock as he watch the Goddess turned into a man!

‘What the f*ck—?!’

The baby’s wide eyes open as he looked from Shi Qingxuan’s face and then to her (his?) chest and he repeat that from back and forth as he didn’t understand how that happens.

Then suddenly, the baby looked at Xie Lian….

‘T-then…. Mama can also….’

The Heavenly Officials heard this and all of them burst into laughter because of the baby’s thoughts and Xie Lian’s face is red in embarrassment.

“HAHAHA! Little prince, if Dianxia can do this, do you think your other parent…”

Unlike his female counterpart who has a sweet and melody tone, his male counterpart has a masculine but refine tone when he speaks.

However, right now, his sentence were cut off when a sudden attack from Rouye came to Shi Qingxuan’s face and the other God didn’t have a chance to dodge as his face was smack pretty hard that Shi Qingxuan accidentally let go of the baby, which alarms the Heavenly Officials.

“SETH!”

“PRINCE!”

However, before the baby could land into the ground, a sudden droplet of water came around and encircle the baby within as if protecting it from harm.

Xie Lian took a deep breath when he knew who is the one save his baby.

Afterwards, the water around the baby materialized and the Heavenly Officials greeted the newcomer.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo opened his eyes when he feel that he is now in another God’s embrace and he looked up, only to see another man but the baby could tell that this person had similar features to that shift shaping God (Goddess) but this another God who carries him now had an intimidating aura and his face is stoic, but his eyes are warm when looking at him.

“It looks like my foolish little brother startled you, little prince. Apologies for that and for starters, my name is Shi Wudu, one of the Elemental Masters of the Heavenly Court known as the Lord Water Master. Thank goodness that I manage to catch you before you fall because of my idiotic little brother of mine.”

The former God of War and Red Desert who is now in a body of a baby that is only a months old had scared the sh*t out of his life when he felt that he would be drop on the ground but thankfully someone manage to catch him up and that person introduce himself as that woman’s (man’s) older brother.

‘Does that mean all of these Officials can change their genders whenever they like?! Just what the f*cking hell?!’

Shi Wudu smiles but he can tell that he is restraining himself not to be mad at him; “As much as the other Officials can do that, little prince, however, as for me, I won’t be doing that and the one who is found of changing their appearance as a woman is none other than my little brother over there”

Shi Wudu return the baby to Xie Lian’s embrace and the Heavenly Martial God Emperor almost teared up because the thought of him that this baby would harm in every second feels like he almost lost his precious baby.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo almost feel bad for his Mama so with his tiny arms, he embrace him to calm him down and Xie Lian smiles back at him.

‘I am alright. Thanks to that God there.’

After that, he tried to memorize all the Heavenly Official’s names but since he is still not quite familiar on how to pronounce their names then, there is still time to learn that since he is still a baby…. A learning old baby though….

‘Argh…. Why their names is so hard to pronounce?!’

While the other Heavenly Officials entertained the baby within Xie Lian’s embrace, the said Heavenly Martial God Emperor looked at the baby with warm and sad eyes.

‘What about my parents? If I disappeared like that, they would be worried.’

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo said as he thought of his parents would panic if they woke up in the morning and he wasn’t there.

Xie Lian knew what the baby is worrying about and it makes the Heavenly God felt warm inside because of the baby’s worries for his parents.

‘He is a remarkable person that should be loved and cherished, not loathed and be betrayed. I can empathize with him and that might be the reason why his prayers had reach me because it’s too powerful and his emotions are too strong to ignore.’

Xie Lian couldn’t believe that a God’s prayer from another dimension had reached him and at first, he is curious about this particular case.

For as long as he knew, this is the first time that a God had reached another God for prayer. It’s not a single prayer from the former God of War and Red Desert that he hears his prayer.

When Jun Wu had been imprisoned and Xie Lian became the Heavenly Martial Emperor of the Heavenly Court, he had heard Seth’s prayer in his child-like tone and he taught at that time he is just a poor child who had been neglected by his parents.

However, when he tries to find that child, he couldn’t find it anywhere and he even had Ling Wen to help him to find some information about that child but even the Civil God didn’t know about the child’s identity, which is odd for him.

He also consulted this to his husband, San Lang and even him as the powerful Supreme Ghost didn’t find that child.

Xie Lian could only hear some faint words coming from that child at that time and as the months, years and centuries went by, Xie Lian understood.

The one who reached for his prayer is not an ordinary child back then but a God like himself, which he finds it extremely odd.

From then on, he observes from what he hears about the God’s prayer and he could feel the God’s powerful resentment, agony, sadness, happy and even betrayal that makes Xie Lian understood something or some theories.

Xie Lian could tell from the child’s voice that he is a boy and from then on, even if he didn’t know his name or what kind of God he is until he reached adulthood, Xie Lian patiently listens to his prayers and the Heavenly Emperor had doubts that this little God isn’t aware that he is praying for another God.

‘I reach adulthood and it’s now my coming-of-age ceremony! I just wish that my parents would be proud of me because of this. Where are they?’

‘From this day onwards, I, Seth, bestowed a title of God of War and Red Desert would protect the borders of Egypt and would serve as the commander of the troops and not just that, I swore my allegiance to my elder brother, Osiris, who would be one day became the King of Egypt!’

Even if this child, or should he says, an adult God had already pledge his allegiance to his older brother and hearing his prayer makes Xie Lian feel proud of himself that he didn’t know why. Maybe because, for all those hundreds of years that he keeps on hearing about this child’s prayer up until he reach adulthood, he can still hear the God’s inner prayers and Xie Lian thought that maybe this God didn’t realize that he unconsciously still praying deep inside his soul.

For hundreds of years that Xie Lian keeps on hearing this God’s prayer, he learns about him. Be it positive or negative, all his emotions can still be conveyed without notice. Xie Lian felt like a supportive parent to this God and he even told this to San Lang and his husband who is often cold and aloof to others except to Xie Lian and he saw that he would often smile a little bit whenever Xie Lian tells the story about this God that he keeps on praying to him unconsciously.

However, one day, during Xie Lian’s visit at the Ghost city to visit his husband, Xie Lian startled upon hearing that God’s agony prayer and Hua Cheng, who is at his side notice Xie Lian’s pale-ashen face while clenching to his chest.

Xie Lian didn’t respond to Hua Cheng’s calls as he focus on that God’s prayer as if it would be his final prayer…

‘To be betrayed by the King who happens to be his elder brother, to be betrayed by the wife who happens to be his sister and to be betrayed by the best friend who happens to be his elder sister.’

‘To be neglected by his parents and only shower affections to his other siblings.’

‘To his precious son… his Anubis…’

‘No matter what happens, Anubis is still his precious son but what can he do? In order to protect Anubis from his biological father, Osiris, he abandoned and let the child think that he neglected him.’

‘His elder brother, Osiris, who would have thought that he would have that such desire to him?’

‘He wants to end all of it…’

‘He doesn’t want anything anymore…’

‘Someone… Can someone hear my prayer?’

Xie Lian snapped from those thoughts as he looked at the baby on his embrace and smile at him.

« Don’t worry about that. The time here is different from the time at the Heavenly Court. The other officials wants to meet you personally since they all knew that we adopt you as our son so it’s only natural for them to know the Prince of the Three Realms »

The baby frowns at Xie Lian and the Heavenly Martial Emperor cooed at the cuteness of the baby within his embrace.

‘They are…. N-not like them…. Right?’

Xie Lian frowns for a seconds but he immediately understands what he is talking about and he looked at the baby with warm smiles.

« Don’t worry. They are not like those Gods and Goddesses from your world. Although they are… hmmm…. Much more… eccentric, I guess? But anyway, I’ll assure you that no one’s going to bully or harm you. Even if that happens then, Heh, they should face the wrath of my husband then »

“Dianxia! Can I borrow the little prince for a while! He is soooo cute!”

Xie Lian didn’t notice that the baby is not within his embrace anymore as the Lord Wind Master Shi Qingxuan snatch it from him and he saw how she hugged the baby and now she’s back on his female form.

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo is now within the Lord Wind master’s embrace and the baby felt suffocate because of the Wind Master’s huge breast since the God is now in his woman appearance, which makes baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo’s face pale-ashen upon learning about it.

‘H-hey! Man or Woman, whatever you are! G-get off! Argh! Why were you in a woman’s appearance! Get the f*ck back to your original appearance!’

A 7-month-old baby is still kicking a fuss that makes the others laugh at his grumpy attitude.

“Pffft! Hahaha! Dianxia, he had the attitude of that husband of yours!”

Pei Ming laughed at baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo who is within Shi Qingxuan’s embrace and the other Martial Gods laughed at him together.

“…. Gwaah!.... Bwaaah!.... Pa!”

‘Papa where are you?! They are bullying me! Hwahhh!’

“Hey, you guys don’t want Crimson Rain Sought Flower to suddenly barged in within the Heavenly Court and all of you are courting death, it seems.”

Ling Wen stated, and all of the other officials look away as if they didn’t say anything and baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo looked confuse as he looked at the Heavenly Officials as if they are scared of something.

‘Ahmmm…. Mama, why are they like that? Are they scared of Papa?’

Feng Xin snorted; “Who would be scared about that moronic bastard!”

“Feng Xin, language! Also, I would appreciate if you couldn’t address my husband like that.” Xie Lian scolded the other Martial God and Feng Xin only crossed his arms around him while raising an eyebrow.

“What? He is just in a body of a baby but inside him he’s a full-grown former God as well.”

Feng Xin said and Xie Lian just sighed because he knew how hot-tempered this Martial God of the Southeast was and even though the baby is a full-grown God in a baby’s body, the Heavenly Martial God Emperor wouldn’t want his baby to be like Feng Xin’s.

“….. Ga! Maa….!”

The baby within the Lord Wind Master’s embrace is reaching for Xie Lian and calling him out for it so Xie Lian took the baby once again and now that the Heavenly Court had met the baby, all of them went back to their respective stations.

When all of the Heavenly officials had left, baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo became somewhat nostalgic for some reason and Xie Lian noticed the baby’s mood and he asked him.

“Something wrong?”

The baby looked at Xie Lian and he didn’t know what to say at first but after a long silence between them, baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo speaks.

He didn’t know if asking this was a bit too much but when he looked up to his Mama, Xie Lian only smiled at him and nodded.

=Chapter 10 – Never Forgive and Never Forget=

=HELIOPOLIS=

The whole court of Ennead was shocked upon seeing the sands of silhouette of the God that they wouldn’t be mistaken for someone else because the ones who stands at the side of Horus is none other than Seth, the former God of War and Red Desert who perished 7 years ago during his trial.

“FATHER! FATHER!”

Anubis’s screams had snapped back from their thoughts as they saw the young God rushed towards where Horus’s throne is seated because the silhouette of the former God of War and Red Desert’s appearance within the Court of Ennead.

“I-is that… Seth?!”

“For real?!”

“Well, look at the sands within the borders that didn’t move for seven years but with his sudden appearance, the sands are now answering to his calls!”

Seth, who appeared in a form of the sand, looked around within the Court of Ennead as many of the Gods and Goddesses are now looking at his direction and he doesn’t know what to feel as of the moment.

‘Just how powerful are Mama and Papa to even let me cross through dimensions and not just that, since my body is no longer here but because the divinity of the sands is within me all along even rebirth, it lets me have this form temporary…. Ha! I don’t know. I just want to see the situation here, but I never expected that this is what would I be seeing.’

After meeting the Heavenly Officials, Xie Lian together with baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo that is within his arms left the Heavenly Court and they teleported to enter the Ghost City and went over to the Paradise Manor where Hua Cheng resides.

The former God of War and Red Desert looked around at the place they were right now, and he couldn’t help but to think about this place might be similar to Duat back from his old world.

“Since we are here, I’ll tell you something about this place. This place is called the Ghost City and my husband, your Papa, is the one who govern this place. He is responsible for any new ghosts that arrives and also to maintain the order within both the Ghost and the Mortal Realm.”

The baby listens to his Mama as he explained the whole thing around him while he looked at the other ghosts who roam around within the city and most of them are looking at their direction, but no one would dare to approach them, and he can see the most of them tried to distance themselves from them.

‘Mama…. Why are they distancing themselves from us? Is it because you’re a God and they were afraid of your divinity?’

Xie Lian chuckled at the curious baby within his embrace as he pinch its cheeks and the baby would blabber something, but the Heavenly God Emperor knew that his baby is throwing a tantrum.

‘NOT MY CHEEKS! IT HURTS!’

Since babies had delicate skins and baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo is still around 7 months old so it would be understandable for him to feel a little hurt.

Xie Lian kissed the cheeks that he pinched and lullabied some songs to calm down his little tyrant baby. Can’t you blame him for not pinching his son’s chubby cheeks that looks like a mochi to bite?

After that, Xie Lian entered the Paradise Manor and he saw Yin Yu standing outside the manor and it looks like his husband ordered him to welcome them.

“Taizi Dianxia, welcome. Hua Chengzhu is waiting for the both of you.”

Xie Lian smiled at the other; “Thanks, Yin Yu! Oh, by the way, you haven’t met our child, right? This is Seth! Isn’t he adorable?”

Yin Yu looked at the baby within Xie Lian’s embrace and although the baby couldn’t see what the other looks like, he noticed his warm eyes looking at him.

“So, this is the Prince? Hello there. My name is Yin Yu, the Waning Moon Officer and assistant to Hua Chengzhu. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. Hua Chengzhu always brags about you within this manor, so I think all of the servants here already knew about you, dear prince.”

Seth / Kim Rok-Soo wasn’t sure about what to feel right now because this is the first time that someone would adore him and not feared about him being the God of War and Red Desert in his previous life. He recalled those days when he was still a child as most of the servants within that palace always feared him for his violent temper and whenever he tantrums, the sands within the borders answered his tantrums that other servants would either tried to calm him down or avoided him.

But in this new life he had as Kim Rok-Soo, aside from having biological parents that would love and cherished him the most, gaining additional parents and relatives is also a blessing for him that sometimes he is scared that if he wake up in the next morning, everything is just a dream and not real.

He often confided with his adopted parents since they were the ones who can hear his thoughts unlike his human parents but whenever he is upset or cried a little, his biological mother who’s name he knew as Jung So-Hwa would always cuddle and calm him down whenever he is having a tantrum. Maybe because of what they called a mother’s instinct that his mother would always ask him how he is feeling or what hurts him.

His biological father, Kim Jae-Hyun who is always at work but whenever he comes home, his father would play with him even if his father needs to rest since he is the one who is working for them but his father would always smile whenever he came home and share hugs and kisses with them and when his mother needs to work in the kitchen to prepare food, his father would be the one who would take care of him. There are times that his father would read him children’s books since he works in a publishing company and although he didn’t understand a thing, he learned as time goes by.

Even if he can’t voice out his concern, his parents would always smile at him and always saying things like;

‘Rok-Soo don’t be afraid. Mom and Dad would always be there for you. No matter what happens.’

‘We love you so much and we thank the God that you were born and gave us.’

‘Don’t cry, our sweet little angel.’

He would always tear up whenever his biological parents would always say those things to him and even though they can’t hear what he was saying, he would always convey his feelings through actions such as kissing them and holding them with his tiny little hands while looking at them.

Xie Lian noticed the baby’s discomfort and he pat the baby’s head softly and it looks like the baby snapped from his thoughts.

“Is something wrong, dear child?”

Seth / Kim Rok-Soo could only shake his head and lean on his Mama’s chest to rest and the Heavenly God sighed but he didn’t force his child to say anything but waited for him to tell his worries and he looked at Yin Yu as he smiled because even if Xie Lian couldn’t see Yin Yu’s face because of the veil he wears but he noticed his concern gaze at his child and Xie Lian knew that Yin Yu is already charmed by his precious son.

“Don’t worry, Yin Yu. There are times that he is like this. You already know about him, right?”

Of course, as the assistant and a trusted subject of Hua Chengzhu, Yin Yu learned about the prince’s past life as the God of War and Red Desert from another dimension. At first, he is perplexed on how the God’s prayer had reached to another God, and he wasn’t surprised if Xie Lian rushed to that God’s side when the God’s pleas had reached the Heavenly Martial God Emperor.

Out of all the Heavenly Officials, Xie Lian is one of those kind-hearted people that would aide anyone for as long he can.

Now that he met the prince personally, Yin Yu vowed himself that he would do everything to protect this child and even if he was a reborn person, in Yin Yu’s eyes, he is the precious child of his master.

“Hua Chengzhu is in his study. I’ll prepare some dinner and also, Hua Chengzhu prepared a room for the little prince so he can rest there if he wants.”

Xie Lian smiled; “Thank you, Yin Yu. We’ll go and see San Lang for now.”

With that, both of them left as Yin Yu had some other things to do by the orders of Hua Cheng and Xie Lian didn’t want to burden the other man and since he knew the direction of where Hua Cheng’s study room is, he told the Waning Moon Officer that they would be alright.

They reached the study room where Hua Cheng is occupied, and Xie Lian was about to knock when the door suddenly opened, and Xie Lian chuckled because he saw his husband’s appearance as if he went into battle because of his messy appearance.

“San Lang, are you alright? It seems like you are busy…”

Xie Lian was cut off when Hua Cheng immediately replied; “No, I am not busy. How’s the visit there? Did they bully our son?”

Xie Lian shook his head because of what his husband’s thoughts were going haywire and if he said that Seth almost got accidentally dropped on the ground because of Shi Qingxuan, he knew that San Lang would immediately murder the Lord Wind Master because of his carelessness and Xie Lian didn’t want to deal with that kind of headache.

The family of three went to the dining hall where the servants prepared meals for them and since there is a baby as they were informed that the prince would be here, all of them are excited to have a sneak peak and Seth / Kim Rok-Soo saw that the servants are either waving at him or smiled at him which makes him to become shy and hide to his Mama’s chest and the others saw this as they all giggled because of their princes’ cuteness.

Hua Cheng saw this and he chuckled as he took the baby within Xie Lian’s embrace and kissed the shy baby on his cheeks, which earned a whimper and a small kicks and punches in the air, which made the Ghost King laugh because of his son’s tantrums.

“Gaa!... Puh!”

‘Don’t kiss me in front of them, Papa!’

Hua Cheng chuckled; “Why? You are still a baby and even if you grow up, I would still kiss you as we love you, dear child. When you came to our lives, we are happy that you became our child and even if not blood related, we already claimed you as our own. So, don’t doubt yourself too much. You have had enough and it’s time for you to let go of some of your past in order for you to move on. Of course, it will not be that easy but as the saying goes, time heals.”

Seth / Kim Rok-Soo didn’t know how to respond to that statement and because he is in the body of a baby, he couldn’t control his urges to cry as he clutches to his Papa’s embrace as he wants to feel the warm of the other being and the Ghost King let the baby to let out his suppress emotions that he keeps buried inside him.

Xie Lian also teared up when he looked at the baby within his husband’s embrace because he can relate to the words coming from his husband and the Heavenly God Emperor almost forgot that he and the baby’s past life are almost the same.

Being betrayed and shunned by the people they cared for, but unlike Xie Lian who happens to be on the verge of madness before, a nameless farmer lend a hand on him and even that small gesture means a lot to him and not just that, meeting San Lang and to feel the love and devotion that he poured into him, Xie Lian managed to overcome everything and to be happy at the end, together with his husband who stayed by his side no matter what happens.

However, in Seth’s case, not only he was betrayed by his beloved sister and wife, but he was also assaulted by the brother he respected and was abandoned by another sister that he sees as a companion and friend and at the end, he was the only one who paid the price and was stripped off his position as a Supreme God.

Sure, he had committed those evil deeds, slaughtering them left and right but does Xie Lian have the right to judge him? No, because even him also have its own flaws and even if San Lang told him that it wasn’t his fault for the fall of the Xianle Kingdom but as a Crown Prince, he is also responsible for the tragedy that occurred to his kingdom.

That’s why he doesn’t have the right to judge the former God about the deeds that he had done but what he couldn’t accept is that Seth is the only one who had been punished and the true perpetrators are still on the loose and never been stand on the trial, which enrage him even more.

‘Mama…. Will it be alright if I want to visit my son and nephew? Horus and Anubis? I just… I want to know what they are doing right now and how things are there in Heliopolis.’

When his son asked him about that, Xie Lian was skeptical to answer that question because he didn’t want his son to suffer even more if he wanted to go and visit that dimension who brought him nothing but suffering, betrayal, and resentment.

But upon hearing the two names that his son wanted to meet, he didn’t want to upset him by restricting him from communicating with his previous life’s children.

Horus and Anubis….

One is the son from his rapist of a brother and a traitor of a sister…

And….

One is the son from his cheating wife sister and his rapist of a brother…

Just thinking about the dynamics of this family makes Xie Lian enrage even more because of what they have done to inflict emotional scars on his precious baby.

But even if that’s the case then, Seth never blame these children, especially Anubis who is the one he raised as a son and Seth still acknowledge this child as his own and no one else.

As for Horus, Xie Lian could tell that Seth was conflicted about him at first but later on, he never blamed him but still needs to pretend that he doesn’t care because from that time of their contending.

The Heavenly Martial God Emperor might not watch it properly but based on the prayers that Seth was unleashing from time to time through his mind, Xie Lian knew that his son is rough on the outside but soft in the inside.

And that became his weakness, and that bastard Osiris took advantage of it!

‘I won’t let that bastard touch my son! If given the chance, I will personally punish him for what he had done!’

He took a deep breath as Xie Lian looked at the two who are still embracing with each other as their son still crying in his Papa’s embrace.

“Seth…”

The baby heard his Mama calling for him and he looked at his side and his Mama smiled at him.

“You asked earlier when we were still at the Heavenly Court that you wanted to visit Horus and Anubis, right? And I permitted it, but you also need to ask your Papa about it.”

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo nodded as he looked at his Papa with his pleading eyes.

Hua Cheng heard what Xie Lian said and he noticed that his son was looking at him with those doe-looking pleading eyes staring back at him.

‘Papa, I just wanted to see how Horus and Anubis is doing. I don’t care about the others as long as I see those two children. They’re the only ones that I care about.’

Of course, Hua Cheng knew about Horus and Anubis as Seth’s nephew and son(?) but unlike Xie Lian who allowed it immediately, the Ghost King wasn’t.

Hua Cheng sighed; “Seth, are you sure about that? Y-you know the whole truth about… Anubis, right? He is not your son, and he is the son of your cheating ex-wife and that bastard of a rapist of your brother. Also, Horus is the son of those two betrayers as well.”

As much as he didn’t want to open a fresh wound that would make his son hurt even more, but the Ghost King doesn’t want Seth to be deluded himself about the situation and it would be better if Seth wouldn’t step foot on that rotten place!

He feels like the need to summon E-ming and slit the throat out of that f*cking bastard!

“San Lang! You didn’t have to…”

Hua Cheng cut off his husband and he felt uncomfortable for doing that, but he immediately explained his side.

“Gege, I don’t want him to be trapped in the memories of the past, especially if he wants to meet those beings that brought to him nothing but pain and betrayal. Not only that, those two children are—”

Xie Lian knew what his husband worried about, and he didn’t feel offended when he was cut off mid-sentence, but he explained to him properly.

“San Lang, those two young Gods are innocent. Even if the young God Anubis isn’t Seth’s biological son, but he is the one who raised that child and gave the love and care of a Father to that child.”

San Lang only knew half of the truth about Seth’s life back in Heliopolis and he wasn’t sure how to start but he needed to say this so that his husband would be cleared.

“That bastard, Osiris used Anubis’ life to threaten Seth so that he can get his hands on him. Seth doesn’t have a choice but to let t-that…. B-bastard… *sob!* *sob!* d-do….w-whatever….h-he….w-wants….f-for….o-our….c-child….!”

Xie Lian broke down as he cried, remembering that prayer that kept coming through his mind before.

‘SOMEONE! PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE ME! N-NO! N-NOT ME! PLEASE SAVE ANUBIS! I-IF….S-SOMEONE….O-OUT….T-THERE….C-CAN…. H-HEAR….M-ME…. P-PLEASE….. A-ANUBIS….SAVE HIM!’

Baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo clutches at his Papa’s sleeves as he feel that his Papa is trembling in raged as he saw those wraith butterflies swarm around them, responding to its master’s emotional turmoil and not just that, his aura as the Supreme Ghost King scattered around them and from the looks from it, the residents of the Ghost city felt the wrath of their city lord for some reason.

‘Papa! Papa! Calm down! P-please!’

When he heard his son’s voice through telepathy, the Ghost King calmed himself down and looked down at his son that was within his embrace, and he hugged him that he is shaken by the revelation that he hear from his husband.

Xie Lian went to his husband’s side and hugged him to comforted him. He didn’t want to tell this to his husband because San Lang can be easily enraged especially if it’s involving his loves one like Xie Lian and Seth.

Hua Cheng; “I will kill that f*cker! I won’t forgive him for what he has done!”

Xie Lian; “San Lang, that’s why we should accompanied our son if he wants to meet those two young Gods. We won’t let those God and Goddesses of Ennead to touch a single hair of our baby. Mark my word as the Heavenly Martial God Emperor of the Heavenly Court!”

Looking at his adopted parents, baby Seth / Kim Rok-Soo felt blessed because in this life, he wasn’t alone and neglected. His biological human parents are also there for him and love him with all their hearts and having his adopted parents also is a blessing for him that he gain additional family members in this life.

‘This is the life that I wished and longed for. I’m thankful that I listened to that voice, which is Mama’s voice during the trial. If he didn’t help me back then, I will be just shunned and regarded as an Evil God by the rest of my life.’

With those thoughts alone, he looked up to them and gave them a heartwarming smile and the married couple smiled back to their son’s warm smile.

After some time had passed and both sides had calmed down, Hua Cheng is the one who breaks the silence.

“Now then, shall we meet those bastard Gods and Goddesses of Ennead? E-ming is brimming with excitement to clashed with them.”

Xie Lian only shook his head because this felt familiar when he challenged those 33 heavenly officials back then for him.

Now, it seems like it would be repeated once again and this time, his husband wasn’t the only one who will fight but also him as well.

They will never forgive and forget what they have done to our child!

= Chapter 11 – Appearance of the Heavenly Officials and the Calamities (1) =

=BACK AT HELIOPOLIS=

The former God of War looked at the center of the platform where both Osiris and Isis looked at his direction with wide eyes open in shock and for that moment, he felt nothing about them anymore.

‘They might be my brother and sister but that’s all in the past. The only thing that I cared about was my son and my nephew. Even though Anubis is not my biological son, I was the one who he acknowledged as his father, so I won’t let anything happen to him. As for Horus, he might be Osiris’s son but unlike his father, Horus knew his mistakes and I know from that time he was possessed and didn’t mean to assault me that time. These two….’

With the divinity of the sand, Seth manifests himself and gain the appearance of his former self through his divinity. He didn’t know that his divinity of the sand comes with him through his reincarnation, and it seems like it links to his core and soul as it can’t be taken away for some reason.

He just learned this from his Mama as he explained before the three of them transverse through dimension.

‘Seth, you might be reborn as a human but within your soul still have the divinity of the sand and henceforth, you are still considered to be the God of War and Red Desert but your ties with Heliopolis is no longer there so it means…..

That divinity is only yours and yours alone and not just that, since we adopted you as our child, you are now considered as a member of both the Heavenly Court and the Ghost Realm.’

“U-uncle Seth…”

Seth looked at the young Pharaoh at his side and he can tell, even if this brat still wears his stupid pigeon mask, that he grew up to be a man that would shoulder the responsibility and the future of Ennead.

« …… “Horus….” …. »

“FATHER! FATHER!”

Seth got startled when he heard that familiar voice and before he can look around, he felt a strong embrace and he almost lost his balance, but he managed to stay put and embrace his son tightly as if a millennium had passed since they last met.

« …… “Anubis….” ….. »

Anubis cried within his father’s embrace as if he didn’t want to let go of him; “F-father… are you going to come back and stay here then? Y-you… won’t leave anymore?”

Anubis isn’t a fool. He is the God of Death, and he can feel that Seth’s body right now is only temporary and anytime soon he would vanish once again.

But he wanted to delude himself for a while and he knew that this would only be a limited time for them to be together.

“I-is that really you, Seth?”

Thoth, who was near at Horus’ throne saw the former God of War and Red Desert materialized himself into the sands from the borders that didn’t move for almost seven years since Seth’s trial.

Seth gaze at Thoth with his dull crimson eyes; « …. “Thoth…. Still the same?” …. »

Unlike the warm and relax tone when he spoke Horus’ and Anubis’ names but when he looked at Thoth, the God of Knowledge already knew that his grandnephew isn’t fond of speaking with him, much more to all the other Gods and Goddesses of the Ennead.

‘Not only that, Seth had the divinity of the sand but no longer has ties within the Heliopolis. I can sense that there was a powerful bond that connects him to a much higher being compared to them. If that is the case then, those higher beings might be here somewhere because he can feel that surge of high divinity through Seth.’

“…. Seth. It’s been a while. How are you?”

Thoth remained from where he stood and never went over to where Horus and Anubis was because he could tell from the expression of Seth that he didn’t want to be in the same space as him.

‘From his divinity alone, Seth is no longer part of the Heliopolis but rather, he is part of a higher being and I’m pretty sure that all of the Gods and Goddesses that present here could tell the difference of them from Seth’s.’

“SETH! MY YOUNGEST! I-IS… T-THAT… R-REALLY… Y-YOU…?!”

Thoth saw how Seth diverted his gaze from him and looked at his former mother, Nut, the Goddess of the Sky who cried out at the sight of her youngest child.

Thoth; “Nut, stand down. You could tell already that…”

His sentence were cut off when Nut screams as she shakes her head to deny what she knew already; “He is my son, no matter what! I don’t care if his divinity is no longer ties to the Heliopolis but… he is…. he is my child…!”

Thoth wanted to curse the damn Goddess for stating those insolent words and he looked at Seth to check his reaction, but he almost backed down because even though his whole body just materialized in a form of a sand, the God of Knowledge could see how Seth’s expression darken because of Nut’s statement.

Before Thoth could tried to fix the situation, Seth’s voice resonates within the Court of Ennead for all the present Gods and Goddesses to hear what he was about to say and Thoth, who was within the vicinity, could almost felt his body shaken by the sudden surge of high divinity that Seth was releasing and he tried his best to remained calm and collected but in reality, he almost gave up.

‘Sh*t! Just what was this kind of divinity he had?!’

« ….. “Silence, Goddess of the Sky of Heliopolis! You have no right to call me your son anymore as I am a being higher than anyone from here! Seize that blasphemy of yours or the consequences of your actions would bring dome to yourselves!” ….. »

Seth’s voice was full of void and without that brash tone that most of them heard before and all of them had eyes widened in shock because of his powerful statement that resonates within court of Ennead.

Even Ra, who is the Sun Goddess and a higher rank God than anyone else couldn’t refute Seth’s statement and as if something had stopped her from speaking any further.

Even the other Gods and Goddesses within the court of Ennead couldn’t refute back from Seth’s statement as they could feel the power surge through his high divinity as if they were nothing but lower beings within Seth’s eyes.

“SETH! How could you say that—”

« ……. “Seize your sentence, Goddess of Harmony and Peace! I am no longer your brother and husband and have no right for you to talk back at me like that! You should be thankful that I will spare you because of Anubis however, it will not be the same for the other Gods and Goddesses of Ennead if they dared to say one more sentence than this.” ……. »

Nephthys was stunned shock at Seth’s statement to her as she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Even though she is one of the Supreme Goddess herself, Nephthys could feel that Seth’s divinity is no longer aligned with the rest of them.

Even Osiris and Isis couldn’t speak because of the tension that surrounds their youngest sibling (If Isis had that right) and as for Osiris, even though he couldn’t speak for moment, just looking at the silhouette of his beloved Seth, he couldn’t help but to muster up the courage to speak.

Seth didn’t know how to answer his son’s question but before he can respond, a voice that was so familiar to him that he wanted to cower in fear and hide in the corner as he trembled.

“Seth. My desert—”

Before Osiris can finished his statement, as sudden gush of killing intent that was released within the four corners of the Court of the Ennead that all of the Gods and Goddesses became alarmed.

When Anubis heard what Osiris said, he went in front of his father to shield him from that bastard as he glared back at the center where Osiris was. As well as Horus, he also shielded his uncle from his lecherous father (He felt disgusted to call that bastard as his father) and firmly gazed at him with his blank azure eyes.

“OSIRIS! YOU F*CKING BASTARD! DON’T YOU DARE SAY HIS NAME WITH THOSE F*CKING MOUTH OF YOURS!”

=Chapter 12 – Appearance of the Heavenly Officials and the Calamities (2) =

A loud gasped coming from the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead at the sudden entrance of the mysterious being that was covered with silver wraith butterflies that swarming around that person but what they observed from this mysterious newcomer was…. that mysterious being had much more power compared to the Gods and Goddesses of Ennead that makes them trembled within their place.

What comes next shock them all as the mysterious being launched an attack directly to Osiris and before the former God of Life, and now, the God that resides Duat, could even react, he was thrown out in the platform and the mysterious being’s assault never ended there as that mysterious being unleashed its long sword and continued attack Osiris and didn’t even give the chance to fight back.

“OSIRIS—!”

Isis, who was about to assist his former husband and brother, was stopped from her actions because of the sudden white straps that surrounds her body and got stumbled on the ground as she tried to struggle with all her might to break free from the sudden chains that binds her.

“I think you should better think twice before trying to break that thing that binds you. I can strangle you for all I care, and I don’t care if I could burn your soul into the depths for all I care! You’ll pay for what have you done to our beloved son, Seth.”

Isis immediately looked behind her when she heard those statement in a cold tone and she saw a handsome young man with finery clothes, with long black silky hair tied in a half-bun and his golden molten eyes screams murder as the mysterious young man looked at Isis.

“WHO ARE YOU?! DO YOU KNOW—”

She didn’t finish her sentence when the mysterious young man kicked her out of the platform and was thrown at the side as well and that makes her cough off blood because of the impact from that kick alone.

“OSIRIS! ISIS! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? GET THEM!”

Ra shouted as she ordered the other Gods and Goddesses to intervene but before she could even go down to her throne, she felt something sharp on her neck and she knew that if she retaliate in a reckless manner, she would be wounded, although divine beings should not worried about minor wounds, unlike humans but for some unknown reason, she got chills down to her spine because of the unknown presence from behind her back.

“I suggest that you should stay quiet on your place as possible and just be like the others as well. Can you take a look at your fellow Gods and Goddesses around within this temple?”

The tone of the mysterious being’s voice resonates within the whole Court of Ennead and Ra noticed that her fellow Gods and Goddesses where also restrained by other mysterious divine beings that were infiltrate their temple.

‘Just who are these divine beings, and their divinity is much more powerful than ours?!’

She thought of that and then when she suddenly remembered that this happens when their presumed deceased God of War and Red Desert makes a sudden appearance with his divinity and that divinity had almost the same aura with these mysterious divine beings.

“Who are you people and what’s your relationship with Seth?”

Ra asked as she tried to calm herself and didn’t take any unnecessary action, lest she danger herself and everyone else in the court.

The Sun Goddess might be haughty and arrogant, but she isn’t that stupid to make such a daring move against an opponent she couldn’t measure its strength, and she immediately looked at her family and all of them have their knees on the floor, which was ridiculous because they were Deities of Ennead, and they shouldn’t be subjected to this kind of humiliation.

“Do you think this is unfair? Then, what about my grandson Seth who you all convicted! I know the heavy crimes that he had committed, and I’m not a saint either since I also committed a grave crime against my fellow Martial Gods however, what I learned is something that I couldn’t accept for pushing all the crimes to his head and to make him suffer alone! That is something that I am against it!”

The mysterious being’s cold voice resonated within the four corners of Heliopolis and all of the Gods and Goddesses present could feel this mysterious being’s divinity is much higher than theirs, although they noticed some of the shackles binds to this mysterious being but still, this high deity is not something for them to be trifle with.

Ra, as the Sun Goddess and the highest deity of Ennead, couldn’t argue with this mysterious deity behind her and she didn’t dare to look behind her back and just remained where she was right now.

“Since you wanted to know then… let me introduce myself first. I am JUN WU, the former Heavenly Martial God Emperor of the Heavenly Court and one of the Four Great Calamities known as White No Face – Bai Wuxiang.”

The mysterious being who restrained Ra’s action for intervening, revealed himself as Jun Wu, smirked as he looked at the Supreme Goddess of this land and for that reason, Jun Wu revealed his malice towards the Sun Goddess as he puts a pressure on the Sun Goddess’ neck.

Ra, as stubborn as everyone knows about her, couldn’t help but trembled in fear for the first time when the malice coming from this mysterious being who introduced himself as Jun Wu suffocates her even more and that makes her almost stumbled on where she was but no matter how she tried to resist the malice coming from this deity from her behind, at the end, she was left powerless and she was on her knees while trembling from that power come from Jun Wu.

Jun Wu, on the other hand, didn’t bother what the other God was thinking about as his eyes coldly looked down upon the Supreme Goddess on her knees and smirk like how he usual does and the other Gods and Goddesses of Ennead saw what happened to Ra that they almost went to her aide, if it wasn’t for these other deities who restrained them from where they are.

“You should be thankful that I’ll spare your head and all of the Gods and Goddesses in this temple since all of you were my former grandson’s family in this life.”

Jun Wu stated as he pulled up the Sun Goddess and then pushed her down back to her seat while the tip of his sword is still on the Sun Goddess’ neck, even if the said Supreme Goddess tried to scheme against him, that won’t work on him and he would make sure that if she tried to move, even an inch without his permission then, her head would be de-attach to her body and he would make sure her body would rot in the depths of hell if needed.

The other Martial Gods and the Calamities, knowing how Jun Wu was thinking, all of them couldn’t help but grimaced at the thought of what would happen to that deity within Jun Wu’s hands.

“Geez! Who would have thought bringing that old fella from here would benefit us from it! I have an inkling idea on what Jun Wu is thinking right now and I felt some sense of pity for that Goddess because she happened to catch the attention of the oldest Calamity of all.”

Nut, the Goddess of the Sky, was being restrained by a mysterious deity woman in green-clad clothes with her weaponized fan and Nut heard what this mysterious deity woman was talking about. She tried to break through the shackles that binds her with her authority of the sky, but Nut became helpless because this mysterious deity woman seems to have immunity from her authority.

The mysterious deity woman looked at Nut and giggles as the mysterious deity woman smirks at her.

“A fool you are, aren’t we? Foolish at how naïve you are! Tsk! I couldn’t accept the fact that you were once Seth’s biological mother.”

Now, it became an insult to her because of how this mysterious deity woman dared to speak rudely against her.

“How dare you mock me like that?! Seth is still my child and mine alone! Who the hell are you to speak like that to me, the Goddess of the Sky of this land?!”

After Nut said those words, the mysterious deity woman mockingly laugh at her because of the way she tantrum herself as if she holds the whole world beneath her.

“How funny you are. You might be the Goddess of the Sky of this land however, me, myself is the Wind itself! Let me introduce myself first. My name is SHI QINGXUAN, one of the five Elemental Masters of the Heavenly Court known as LORD WIND MASTER, in short, I hold the divinity of the Sky that is much higher than yours!”

The mysterious deity woman who introduced herself as Shi Qingxuan, stated as she activated her Wind Master Fan and manifest the wind itself and then managed to throw Nut away from where she seated, and Nut stumbled on the high ground as her body clashed into one of the pillars of this temple.

“NUT!”

Geb, the God of Earth and Nut’s sister-wife, was about to went over at her side when a sudden rock wall appeared in front of him that blocks his way and tried to release himself from it, but it didn’t budge, which he find it ridiculous since this rock wall is part of the Earth’s surface and he is the God that controls the Earth.

“Don’t try to look for a way out there. My divinity is much more powerful than yours.”

Geb looked towards at the direction where the voice came from and from there, stood a young black-clothed woman brimming with much more divinity than Geb and the God of Earth felt the similar element coming from that young black-clothed woman.

Geb glared back at her and shouted; “How dare you mock me like this?!”

The young black-clothed woman looked back at Geb with her dull expression and said coldly; “Tsk! To think you’re Seth’s biological father and to think we even had a similar element makes me want to puke in disgust right now. How dare I mock you? Of course, I dare!”

After that, the young black-clothed woman summoned her weapon and then slammed on the ground that makes the earth’s surface rumbled because of her divinity.

Geb, as the God of Earth of this land, tried to take control over the Earth element but nothing responded to him.

The young black-clothed woman smirks and said; “How rude of me. Tsk! Let me introduce myself first. My name is MING YI, one of the five Elemental Masters of the Heavenly Court known as LORD EARTH MASTER, and the very surface that you’re proud of, is now mine to control it!”

The young black-clothed woman who introduce herself as Ming Yi, said as she once more slammed her weapon, the Earth Master Shovel, as she locked Geb down on the ground in order for him not to move.

“GEB!”

The other Gods and Goddesses of Ennead couldn’t believe what they were seeing right now. Osiris is being restrained by that tall youthful man with maple-like red cloth and Isis couldn’t even use her magic against those binding ropes that restrained her body by the other unknown white-clothed deity.

Geb and Nut, the two Gods who rules over the divinity of the Sky and Earth are now being restrained by those two other deities who wields the similar elements of Sky and Earth but much more powerful than Geb and Nut’s divine authority.

Even Ra, the Supreme Goddess of Heliopolis is being restrained by that powerful deity amongst the others who had invaded their place.

As they all thought about this, all of them looked at the direction where the King’s Throne is held in place.

From there, they saw their young King Horus, together with his cousin-brother Anubis, the God of Death, side by side as both of them held that familiar sand silhouette of the former God of War and Red Desert, the ones they believe who had vanished within the face of this world.

Seth has returned and this time, he is not alone, and his divinity of the Sand, who once belonged to the Heliopolis, now belonged to solely himself and no one else.

Ra stayed still on her seat while Jun Wu’s sword was still on her neck, tried to speak.

“Seth, it’s been a while. I thought you’re already vanished since we couldn’t find your soul within the Duat and even Anubis, who is now the God of Death and the Overload of Duat as he finally took down Osiris from his pedestal, couldn’t find your soul as well.”

The Supreme Goddess said as she maintained her composure while speaking and Jun Wu just looked at her in a blank state but didn’t comment on what she said.

‘This Goddess, although she seems like the most typical arrogant deity but from what I can sense from her, she is the only one who is much more concerned about Seth, despite her naughtiness and arrogant façade that she’s portraying right now….’

From the former Heavenly Martial God Emperor such as Jun Wu himself, he is the kind of person who could sense someone’s malice just from looking through their eyes. There is a saying that no matter what façade you act but a person’s eyes never lies.

Ra’s tone of voice when she speaks while looking at the King’s Throne of this place where Seth was right now, although sounds neutral with a bit of haughtiness but her amber-colored eyes were soft and fond as she looked at that direction and that makes Jun Wu, at least, didn’t make things hard for her but still, he needs to keep her in check just in case though.

Jun Wu diverted his attention away from the Supreme Goddess for a moment as he watch the other Calamities and Heavenly Officials deal with the other Gods and Goddesses of this place.

After that, he diverted his attention away from them and then looked at the platform where Xie Lian and his husband, Hua Cheng confronted the two divine beings who were responsible for Seth’s suffering and demise in his previous life.

Right now, Jun Wu got only released from his imprisonment for a while because when he learned that Xie Lian and Hua Cheng, together with the other Heavenly Officials and Calamities would go on a venture to the other dimension to visit Seth’s son and nephew.

When Xie Lian offered him to go with them, at first, Jun Wu frowned in confusion because of the sudden invitation coming from him and he remembered what he said from that time….

Jun Wu looked straight into Xie Lian’s eyes when the former Heavenly Martial God Emperor asked Xie Lian about this because he find it absurd to be invited and to be released for a moment.

Although in Jun Wu’s thoughts, it’s quite a tempting offer but he had live for more than several thousands of years already and been the Heavenly Emperor for quite a long time and not only that, but he was also a former Crown Prince of his now fallen-ceased Kingdom when he was a human being….

Xie Lian, on one note, noticed the shift of mood coming from the former Heavenly Martial God Emperor and smiled at him.

“Well, at first, I also thought about that but…” – Xie Lian paused his sentence for a moment and Jun Wu raised an eyebrow at him while looking at him.

“But?”

Jun Wu’s thoughts came into halt when Xie Lian gave him an answer.

“I can see within your eyes that you’re much more concern with Seth’s well-being amongst the others. Aside from me and my husband, you’re the third person that Seth could confide with it since he could also sense that both of you are almost similar to some extent. That’s why I could lay down my trust on you went it comes to our son. What do you think?”
