The Life We Chose

Chapter 1: Don't ask, don't tell

Chapter Text

The year is 1932.

By law, Alphas dominate the business and corporate world, while the omegas are forced to stay home and take care of the pups.

Being an omega in an alpha’s world is dreadful, but it’s not all bad. Thanks to his aunt, Bakugou owns and operates a successful business.

Bakugou’s, strong-headed, alpha aunt, Yuka never let societal norms get in her nephew’s way. Even after Bakugou’s parents died and he presented as an omega, she told him he could do anything he put his mind to. So, that’s what he did. One sunny afternoon, Bakugou told her he wanted to own and operate a bar, so the alpha jumped on the opportunity. She bought a small space below a laundromat; hidden from the outside world. She later gifted it to Katsuki.

If it wasn’t for her, Bakugou wouldn’t be standing behind this bar right now, doing what he loves. And after she passed, he promised himself that he wasn’t gonna let anyone tell him what he can or cannot do. Especially because of his secondary gender.

“Could I get a martini, dry, two olives?” A strapping alpha asked from the other side of the bar, making Bakugou snap back to reality. “O-Oh, yes, sir. Coming up.” Bakugou responds, already fast at work to make the drink for the waiting alpha.

He slides the martini glass across the bar top. “Here’s that for you.” He says before grabbing the cash that was already left on the clean bar.

He looks beyond the bar to see his most frequent customer, Eijirou Kirishima. He’s basically the boss around here (besides Bakugou, of course).

Back when Bakugou and Yuka opened his bar, Kirishima made a deal with them. He would protect his business from getting shut down, in exchange, a place where Kirishima could freely and discreetly meet his clients and “talk business.”

“How would you protect us?” Yuka asked the redhead suspiciously. “Let's just say, I'm a generous donor to the city’s police department. If anyone hears about your bar, I’ll take care of it.”

Take care of it.

Meaning, Kirishima has friends in high places who won’t say shit… for a price, of course. Nonetheless, Yuka saw it as a fair trade, so she agreed.

Bakugou wasn’t too sure about Kirishima at first, but after years of him being able to run this business undetected, he’s grown to trust the redhead. And besides, if Yuka was able to trust him, so could he.

Over the years, Bakugou has picked up that Kirishima was some sort of mob or mafia leader, but he didn’t exactly know what kind of business he was in.

For example, right now the redheaded alpha is talking with a shady looking guy wearing all black and smoking a hefty cigar. The two are deep in conversation about god knows what… but from what Bakugou can tell, Kirishima’s having a tough time selling to this guy.

Bakugou doesn’t care to ask Kirishima what his various business deals entail. He just tries to focus on making drinks and getting paid.

With a quick wipe down of the bar top, Bakugou catches Kirishima’s glinting eye peering over the man in front of him. The redhead, giving off a look that says, “can you believe this fucking guy?” before he’s excusing himself from the conversation to meet Bakugou at the bar.

“Fill me up, firecracker.” Kirishima says, placing his empty glass in front of the omega before he’s leaning against the bar. Bakugou holds back a chuckle at the nickname the redhead bestowed upon him all those years ago when they first met. He remembers Yuka and Kirishima talking business… alpha to alpha… completely ignoring the omega when he blew up on both of them for disregarding him. He remembers the hum that rang from the redheaded alpha’s throat as he praised him for his tenacity… finding the omega’s bravery to speak up impressive. After that day, Kirishima granted him the silly, yet endearing nickname.

“I don’t think I’m gonna be able to sell anything to this guy.” Kirishima expresses, looking down at Bakugou’s hands as they make his next drink.

Bakugou scans over the bar at the man behind Kirishima before handing the redhead his favorite drink. “What’s his deal?” Bakugou mindlessly asks, making Kirishima stiffen up before taking a quick sip of his old fashion.

“Don’t ask, don’t tell, remember omega?” Kirishima reminds him with a smirk before flinging a fifty-dollar bill on the bar top and turning back towards his business venture. Bakugou lets out a deep breath, turning on his heels to put the money in the register.

“Don’t ask… idiot.” Bakugou reprimands himself as he continues the grind of the busy night ahead of him.

Chapter 2: Good Pup

Chapter Text

Charm and endless negotiation weren't enough for Kirishima, as he watched the man he’d been trying to sell to all night walk out of the bar.

“Fuck--!” He whispers under his breath, standing from his spot on the couch in the center of the now empty bar.

This isn’t the first time the alpha has closed down Bakugou’s bar… nor would it be the last.

Many nights he would be the first one in and the last one out, trying, and most of the time succeeding at selling himself and his business ventures… but tonight, he was anything but successful.

Success, of course, is subjective in Eijirou’s world, as he answers to nobody.

Eijirou Kirishima is the current Yakuza leader and the eldest grandson of Hisoki Kirishima, once considered the most feared alpha in all of Japan. Eijirou took over the Yakuzas when his grandfather passed away a few years back.

Alongside Eijirou is his little brother and second in command, Tetsu. Tetsu is Eijirou’s only sibling and the youngest alpha in the Kirishima family. When Eijirou is unavailable to make decisions, Tetsu steps up in his place.

Under him is their head of staff… trusted and close family friend, Shota Aizawa. Aizawa was like a son to Hisoki, having been raised by the elder Kirishima ever since he presented as an alpha. He’s one of the last living members of the original Yakuzas, which is one of the many reasons why Eijirou trusts him so much.

Below Aizawa are the underlings… the alpha mutts of the Yakuzas. They’re brought into the circle by recommendation only. Considered some of the most ruthless members of the gang, they are the ones who get their hands dirty when the boss deems it necessary.

Most of the people who flood Bakugou’s bar each and every night are Yakuza associates… alphas that work nonstop to sell whatever it is the Kirishima family wants them to sell.

Right now, their focus has been on weapons. Powerful, military grade weaponry that they sell to other gangs or whoever is in the underground market for a weapon at a discounted rate. In return, the Yakuzas ask for money, city selling territory, and sometimes omegas.

It’s rare amongst the Kirishimas, but yes… Omegas are sometimes considered property amongst powerful alphas. They use them to create alpha heirs to their illegal empires before selling them off to the next highest bidder.

Of course, Eijirou has never been an advocate for the buying and selling of omegas. Yes, he is a powerful alpha, but he’s never been comfortable with the whole practice.

After he met Bakugou, a strong-headed omega who’s smarter and brighter than a lot of alphas he’s encountered, Eijirou morally changed his ways.

As long as he was doing business with the omega, he promised himself he would never put omegas through that horrible process. Eijirou always has the brash blonde in the back of his head whenever the offer presents itself.

“Long night, yeah?” Bakugou’s voice is heavy from behind the bar, pulling Eijirou out of his head and into the present.

“Not long enough, apparently.” He retorts, shrugging his shoulders before carrying his empty glass and a few others up to the bar top.

“Ah… thank you.” The blonde says, offering him a small smile before taking the glasses and placing them in the sink behind the counter. “Seems like you had that guy on the hook for quite a while.”

Kirishima acknowledges the omega without going into any detail. Don’t ask, don’t tell… but in a moment like this, where he just had the worst sales experience of his life, he wishes he could tell Bakugou everything.

Eijirou does a quick once over of the empty room to pick up any spare glasses that were left by his associates before leaning against the bar top, stretching his back in the process and checking his pocket watch. “I apologize for staying late again, Firecracker. I don’t mean to inconvenience you.”

Katsuki is quick to wave a dismissive hand at the redhead before polishing the dark oak bar top with a damp towel. “You’re never an inconvenience, Mr. Kirishima. I appreciate your business.”

Bakugou feels his chest tighten up when the alpha leans over the bar as if he’s trying to whisper something to him.

“Please, call me Eijirou.” He mutters with a tilted, tired grin. “Mr. Kirishima was my grandfather… and quite frankly… me and you have known each other long enough that I feel it’s appropriate.”

Bakugou nods, too tired to form any kind of response to the alpha’s kind words. He can feel his scent glands starting to leak as he tracks the redhead’s movements closely.

Omegas and alphas are normally very in control of their bodies. They are able to dominate their glands and stop the first drop of their scent without even thinking. But right now, for some reason, Bakugou can’t stop the smell of citrus and ocean spray from dancing around the bar like a showgirl on a busy Saturday night.

Right away, Eijirou sits up, inhaling the omega’s scent with one long breath before fully turning towards him with concerned eyes.

“Y-You don’t have to call me Eijirou if it makes you uncomfortable in any way-”

Bakugou looks confused at first, before he’s clamping the leaking scent glands on his neck. “Oh, no, no, no!” Bakugou half yells, focusing for a moment to contain the smell that's radiating from his neck.

“I’m sorry. Uh.. S-Sometimes when I get tired, I have a hard time controlling my body.”

“Oh- you’re tired? Would you like one of my employees to take over the bar for a few days so you can get some rest? A few of them know how to bartend… and I could-”

“No, no-” Katsuki cuts him off, waving his hand to try and waft away the citrus around them. “It’s all covered, Eijirou. T-Thank you, though.”

Eijirou nods before a comfortable, tired silence falls between them.

After a few moments, Eijirou stands up straight and opens his mouth to say good night, but is cut off by Katsuki’s deep, groggy voice inviting him back.

“Say… why not one last shot? On the house.” Katsuki pops open the most expensive bottle of whisky and pours two shots before the redhead can say no. Eijirou turns back and smiles at the blonde before taking the shot glass in his hand and lifting it towards the ceiling.

“Cheers.” Bakugou smiles as the two clank their glasses together and tip their heads back, wincing at the burn running down their throats. Eijirou shakes his head to try and regain his strength from the shot with a toothy grin.

“Well, I’d best be getting home. You have a great rest of your night, Firecracker. Don’t stay too late.”

“Yes, you too. Have a great night, Eijirou.”

With one last nod, Eijirou is gone and Katsuki is left alone with his thoughts. He swiftly lets out the breath he didn’t know he was holding before loosening his bowtie and slumping down against the bar.

“...Eijirou…” He whispers to himself with a smile.

“Well, don’t you look happy to see me.” A familiar voice reverberates across the room, making Katsuki jump out of his skin at the bar door opening and closing.

With a grimace, Katsuki’s skin starts to crawl at the sight of the alpha in front of him.

“Hello, Izuku.” Katsuki says, glancing over at the greenette as he crosses the bar to greet him.

“My dear, you look ravishing this evening.”

Katsuki chuckles at the statement, knowing damn well he looks like he was just hit by a truck.

“What do you want, Izuku?” He says bluntly, already tired of the conversation, knowing exactly where it’s headed.

“I want my money, Kacchan. Actually, my boss wants her money.”

Bakugou feels the knot in his throat swell, unable to form a single sentence in response.

A few months ago, Izuku, the second in command to a mob boss a few cities over, had approached Katsuki about some debt his aunt owed them. He’s asked on several occasions what she used the money for, but he was never given an answer.

All Katsuki knew was that it’s an absurd amount of money that he can’t afford to pay back quite yet.

To give him some time, he’s been keeping the boss’ henchman in his back pocket, giving him anything he desires… mostly his body.

“Listen, Izuku… I don’t have it right now. B-But if you can give me a few weeks, I might be able to-”

“Kacchan…” Izuku starts, rounding the bar and taking heavy steps toward the omega, prompting him to take a step back. Katsuki hates the nickname ‘Kacchan’. Izuku gave it to him after they had sex for the first time. It was more of a nickname used to degrade the blonde, the sound of it sending an unsettling chill down his spine. “...I want to help you, but my hands are tied.”

Izuku takes another step forward, now crowding the omega, forcing him to lean against the counter in an attempt to create some distance. But it ultimately fails when Izuku grabs him firmly by the chin.

“...of course… there’s always a way to… extend your deadline.” Izuku says with a corrupt grin, looking the omega up and down like a meal.

Katsuki thinks back to when he was first approached by the green-haired alpha and how their first encounter was similar to this. Forced to have sex with Izuku whenever he felt like it. Forced to unwillingly volunteer in the alpha’s un-winnable game of cat and mouse.

He doesn’t deserve this. He didn’t do anything wrong, yet he’s paying for his aunt’s mistake each and every time Izuku walks into his bar. But sadly, what choice does he have?

With a deep sigh, Katsuki agrees.

“Yes, sir.” He says as anxious tears threaten to fall and the pushy alpha is scenting him.

The intense smell of black licorice burns Katsuki’s nose as Izuku growls with delight.

“Good pup.”

Chapter Text

                                                             Image

The morning sun beams through the tattered curtains of Bakugou’s bedroom window, making him groan as he rises in pain.

He looks around to find an empty room, devoid of the green-haired alpha. He must’ve snuck out after Bakugou passed out. Sadly, even though the alpha is gone, his stench remains, coating Bakugou in a horrible smell that feels like sticky air on a hot and humid day.

Bakugou examines his room once again to make sure Izuku didn’t steal anything on his way out. Of course, there isn’t much to steal. His room is small; a room that was once an office that is big enough to house a twin bed, old dresser with a sink and mirror nuzzled in the corner.

His tiny room is up a short flight of stairs that’s divided from the bar and backed up to the laundromat the bar is connected to. At night, he can hear the hum of the washers and driers tumbling people’s clothes… it’s a sound he’s grown fond of over the years, helping him fall asleep during tough nights.

Most days, it’s very convenient being able to walk downstairs and be at work. But sometimes, he wishes he could separate his personal life from his work. He loves his job, but sometimes he needs a break from the everyday grind… a break that he can’t get when he lives where he works.

With a loud groan and some wincing, Katsuki throws his legs to the side of the bed before carefully lifting his body from the mattress and shuffling over to the sink. He tries not to think about his bladder, as the toilet is down the flight of stairs that he’s not too confident he can climb down right now.

Along with the toilet is a make-shift tub that’s made from a rusted tin he “borrowed” from the laundromat. With every penny going to Izuku’s boss, he doesn’t have much money for any extra amenities. But he makes do with what he has.

Taking his final steps towards the mirror, he looks at his reflection. He sees a tired, strung-out version of himself that makes his eyes burn with emotion. His sobs are quiet as he leans against the sink to gather himself, but it doesn’t work.

Izuku was anything but gentle last night, leaving marks and bruises all over his neck and arms from choking him and pinning him down. No matter how much he begged him to stop, no matter how much he cried, Katsuki couldn’t escape it.

The whole experience is something Bakugou wouldn’t wish upon his worst enemies. It’s something he wishes he could erase from his memory, but sadly, the image is burned into his brain like a livestock brand on tough skin.

Wiping the tears from his eyes, Bakugou looks back at himself in the mirror.

“You are strong. You can do this.” Katsuki says to his reflection before giving himself a semi-confident nod, giving him the willpower to continue his day as he normally would.

With a deep breath, he grabs his toothbrush and starts his normal routine.

First, he brushes his teeth, then he picks out his clothes for the day before heading downstairs to use the bathroom and take a brisk bath, trying and failing to scrub the smell of black licorice from his skin. Once he’s done all he could to get rid of the smell, he dries off and walks back upstairs and gets dressed.

Once he’s dressed, he heads back down to grab a quick bite to eat before prepping his bar for the afternoon rush.

Of course, his normal routine takes him a bit longer than usual, having to pause in between movements to rest his aching body.

He just needs to get through the next 10 hours. He can do this.

“You can do this…” he whispers to himself in the empty bar.

Normally, once the bar is prepped and ready for patrons, Bakugou opens the doors and a few minutes later, Kirishima is the first person to arrive, greeting Bakugou with a “how’s my firecracker this evening?” before the blonde makes him his usual drink and he sits in his spot to wait for whoever it is he’s waiting for that day.

But today is different. Bakugou opens the bar like normal, but when Kirishima walks in at his usual time and approaches the bar, he’s slowed down by the smell of burnt citrus and something heavy and sour.

Licorice?

Distressed omega... his alpha screams while Bakugou tries to suppress his scent from circulating the bar.

“What’s wrong.” Kirishima says, the words sounding more like a demand than a question.

“Nothing’s wrong, Mr. Kirishima.” Bakugou retorts with a fake smile, hoping the redhead doesn’t see right through it… but he does.

“Firecracker, I asked you to call me Eijirou.”

After everything that happened last night, Bakugou completely forgot about their conversation.

“Are you sure you’re ok?” Kirishima asks while walking slow, steady around the bar, noticing the scent of distressed omega more prominent the closer he gets. Once in front of the timid omega, Kirishima goes to put his hands on Bakugou’s shoulders to try and calm him, but Bakugou flinches.

Distressed omega. Help omega.

Kirishima takes a step back with his hands in the air, not wanting to scare his firecracker.

“Tell me what happened.”

“It’s nothing, Eijirou. It… It doesn’t concern you.”

“Anything that has to do with you concerns me, Katsuki. We’re business partners… and if you’re in trouble, I want to help.” Kirishima is unwilling to move from his spot until Bakugou tells him the truth.

“Eijirou…” Katsuki breathes out, running a hand through his blonde locks. “I don’t want you getting involved. It’ll only get messier, and I know you say you want to help, but I-I can take care of myself.”

“I know you can, Katsuki. But that doesn’t mean you have to.”

Bakugou can tell Kirishima won’t give up until he tells him what’s going on… but he can’t tell him… can he?

“I… I don’t want you to get hurt.” Bakugou whispers, tears starting to fall down his cheeks.

During the time that Kirishima has known Bakugou, he has never seen him this distraught. It hurts his heart seeing this firecracker of an omega break in front of him. Kirishima wants to help. He needs to help. With a half step forward, Kirishima wipes a tear from Bakugou’s cheek.

“The only one getting hurt in this situation is the person who hurt you. I promise.”

With a hesitant nod, Bakugou closes his eyes.

“His name is… Izuku Midoriya. M-My aunt owes his boss a lot of money. And… when she died…”

“You took over the debt.”

Bakugou nods, thankful that Kirishima can finish his sentence for him.

“What did he do to you?”

Suddenly, the air around them feels thick with Katsuki’s distressed scent mixed with the other alpha’s odor. “When I couldn’t pay… He…He…” Katsuki tries to finish his sentence but is cut off by a sob that takes over his explanation.

“Ok. Ok. Ok.” Kirishima says, taking a step towards the broken-hearted, tired omega, but quickly remembers how he flinched earlier. The last thing the redhead wants is to overstep his boundary, but right now, Kirishima wants to get the other alpha’s stench away from Bakugou… and the only way to do that is if…

“Can I scent you, omega?” Eijirou asks. Without hesitation, Katsuki is lunging forward at the question and wrapping his arms around the redhead in a tight embrace. Eijirou wastes no time blanketing Bakugou with the smell of bourbon and leather, ridding him of the other alpha entirely within seconds.

“You’re ok, firecracker. You’re ok.” Eijirou trills, rubbing his hand up and down Katsuki’s back soothingly.

As Kirishima holds the omega tight, two of his associates walk in to get their busy day of schmoozing started, immediately taken aback by what’s happening behind the bar.

With a hushed tone, Kirishima talks them through a set of instructions.

“You- call my driver and tell them to get my car out front… and you- call Tetsu. Tell him I am unavailable and that he needs to be the one to meet with Ms. Kayama tonight. Also, tell him I need all the information he can find on someone named Izuku Midoriya.”

Kirishima is stern and demanding as his men nod with understanding. “Oh, also… tell Tetsu we need one of the mutts to run the bar for a few nights. Mr. Bakugou isn’t feeling well.”

With silent nods as responses, the two men are fast at work doing exactly as Eijirou said… all the while, Bakugou doesn’t dare let go of Kirishima, still crying against his chest as his breathing remains shallow and forced.

“Shh… Shh… You’re ok, omega. I’ve got you.” Kirishima whispers, making the blonde feel safe and secure as he places one of his hands against the back of his head, massaging his scalp with every calming word.

Chapter 4: My Omega

Chapter Text

Katsuki’s mind is a blur as he leans against Eijirou… letting his hands guide him into the car before they’re driving off.

Heat radiates from the alpha’s body as Katsuki leans into him, letting the redhead’s arm wrap around him in a protective manner. Even in the alpha’s presence, Katsuki can feel his shoulders slowly tense up… not wanting to be a bother to anyone… especially Eijirou.

“You can relax, firecracker. You’re safe with me.” The redhead says, running his hand up and down the blonde’s arm to try and calm him down.

“I’m sorry. I just… I don’t want to be a burden. I could have worked my shift.”

Eijirou turns in his seat, angling towards the omega before pulling him in closer. “I know you could’ve, Katsuki. But you need a break… and trust me, you are never a burden. Just try and relax for me… we’ll be there soon.”

Katsuki finally gives in as the alpha runs the scent glands on his wrists over the omega’s, letting the overpowering smell of leather and bourbon, once again, calm his anxious mind.

“Mmm… W…Where are we… go…ing?” Katsuki tries to ask but is scented into a relaxing oblivion that calms his senses, letting him finally be at ease for the first time in years.

Katsuki’s eyes flutter open as silk sheets hug his body. Raising his arms over his head to stretch his aching muscles, he sits up with a gasp, finally registering that he’s not at the bar; he’s not in his tiny room.

He faintly remembers the car ride… He remembers Eijirou… and how his arms were around him as he was scented into a deep sleep.

/Alpha’s scent/ Katsuki’s omega sings as he picks out the familiar smell and takes a deep inhale.

“Eijirou…?” Katsuki says while rubbing his eyes. When his vision clears, he lands on the redhead sitting in a rocking chair in the corner of the room reading a book. At the sound of his name Eijirou sets the book down in his lap and gives Katsuki his full attention.

“Hey firecracker.” Eijirou grins.

How long has he been asleep? When did they get here? Where exactly are they?

Katsuki rightfully has a lot of questions and luckily Eijirou picks up on his confusion. “No need to worry, Kat. You’re safe here. We’re at my home in the outskirts of the city.” Eijirou explains with a nod and a smile.

“How long have I been asleep?” Katsuki questions, noticing the evening sun beaming through the curtains of the room.

Eijirou looks down at his watch. “Roughly… 12 hours?” The tone spins upward as if he could be a little off in his estimate.

“12 hours!?” Katsuki can’t believe it. He slept consecutively for 12 hours… He hasn’t slept that well in years. In fact, he can’t remember a time he’s /ever/ slept that well.

With a grunt, Katsuki is flopping back onto the bed in disbelief, staring up at the ceiling.

12 hours.

Katsuki almost feels dirty… like he shouldn’t have wasted his time with something as minute as sleep. How would he earn the money to pay back Izuku’s boss if he was sleeping all day?

He needs to go back to work. He can’t stay here and lounge around… especially if he’s taking Eijirou’s time away from him.

At the thought of being a burden, Katsuki sits up again and rolls out of bed, feeling the lukewarm air hit his arms and legs. He was only in his undergarments and the t-shirt he wore under his button up.

“Ah-!” Katsuki shouts, suddenly realizing the state of his nakedness.

Jumping back into bed, he covers himself with a blanket, eyes darting towards the alpha who’s been watching him carefully.

“Where are my clothes!?” Katsuki screams at the alpha who doesn’t seem shocked by the omega’s reaction at all.

“I thought you’d be more comfortable… so I…”

Looking around the room with a beat red face, Katsuki spots his trousers and button up shirt on the dresser across the room. They somehow made it off his person and were neatly folded in a pile.

How out of it was he that someone could strip him of his clothes and not wake up!? Was it Eijirou who undressed him? Was it one of his employees? Oh god…

Stupid alpha and his stupid stronger than life scent.

“Look away!” Katsuki yells, causing the redhead to quickly hide his eyes behind his book as the blonde gets up and quickly changes back into his work clothes.

After he was decent, he took a step towards the alpha and pushed the book away from his eyes before stepping back again to readjust his bowtie.

“I need you to take me back to the bar.” Katsuki deadpans, noticing the sad expression growing on Eijirou’s face.

“But- you just got here.”

/Stay with alpha/ His omega says simply as if his secondary gender is warning him of something.

“I know… but… I can’t just sit around. I need to earn money. And Izuku-”

“Izuku won’t hurt you as long as I’m here.” The alpha cuts in, standing from his seat and crowding the omega. He can smell the fragments of fear and distress being pumped into the air. Katsuki is clearly trying to hide his scent, but Eijirou can’t stand back any longer. He smells his fear… and he won’t rest until that smell is gone for good.

“I can smell you, Katsuki… you’re fearful… and anxious. Please… don’t go.”

/Stay with alpha/ Katsuki’s omega is persistent.

Against his better judgement and the alpha’s worried tone, he shakes his head.

“I… I can’t. Please… just take me back to the bar.” Katsuki says with a distraught tone. He knows he should listen to his omega and stay with Eijirou… but he can’t find the strength in him to just relax.

Eijirou nods before taking a step away from the omega. He wants Katsuki to feel comfortable around him, which is why he does as the omega asks and takes him back to the bar.

It’s been two weeks since that day at Eijirou’s house… and things have been a little… off. The alpha still comes into the bar like usual, but he insists on staying well after closing to help him clean up.

Every so often, Eijirou will ask the omega if he can scent him before he turns in for the night. The gesture is always welcome, but it brings forth an obvious question… why?

Why was Eijirou suddenly so protective of him?

Sure, they’ve known each other for a long time but they’ve never interacted like this before.

Eijirou is more attentive than he used to be, while Katsuki is more careful around the alpha, analyzing his every move as if the redhead is trying to say something without using his words. The silence between them is anything but quiet.

Over the last two weeks, Katsuki has picked up on a few small things that the alpha does differently… like tonight for example, Eijirou has been lightly scenting him anytime he hands him empty glasses from across the bar.

Katsuki also hasn’t missed the alpha’s gaze that lasts way longer than is deemed ‘normal’.

It’s all so weird… but also… natural?

The thought is pushed to the back of his mind as he clears off the countertop and starts to re-organize the liquor bottles on the shelf behind the bar. In the corner of his eye, he sees the alpha readjusting the tables and chairs before wiping them down with a washcloth.

/Helpful alpha – alpha cares/

Katsuki smiles but then shakes his head, willing his inner omega to quiet down as he diverts his attention back to cleaning.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

“Looks good. I think I can take it from here, Eijirou. Thank you for all your help… again.” Katsuki chuckles as he looks around at the spotless bar.

As Katsuki goes to say goodnight, Eijirou doesn’t move to leave. Instead, he’s looking down at the ground, opening and closing his mouth as if he’s trying to find the words to say something important.

“…Eijirou? Is everything ok?”

The words fall to the floor as if the alpha didn’t register them at all.

“Ei?”

The soft voice along with a gentle touch breaks him from his thoughts. “Oh, yes. I apologize… I um…” Eijirou can feel his hands start to clam up, trying and failing to talk to the omega he’s been following around like a puppy for the last two weeks.

/Ask omega – Ask/ his alpha encourages before he’s taking a step towards Katsuki.

“Listen, firecracker… Katsuki. I really like you… a lot. And… well, I was wondering if you would do me the honor of-”

“Kacchan!” As the words of his courting proposal sit idly at the tip of his tongue, a harsh voice is cutting through the air like a knife.

You better not be hiding from me… Who the hell are you?” Eijirou can smell Katsuki’s distressed scent already, making his nose burn. To try and calm the omega, Eijirou targets his scent glands towards Katsuki before turning to face the man who decided to interrupt them so rudely.

Izuku Midoriya. Eijirou recalls the information Tetsu had gathered on the no-good alpha.

  • Age: 29
  • Height: 185 cm
  • Weight: 83 kg
  • Blood type: O
  • Occupation: Money mule – Yaoyorozu family

With a murky glare, Eijirou is quick to put himself between Izuku and Katsuki. No way is he letting this mutt touch his omega.

“Hello? Earth to meat head. I said… who. the hell. are you?” Izuku torments, walking towards Katsuki before stopping in front of the redhead.

“Mr. Midoriya, is it?” Eijirou asks calmly with a stern expression. If there’s one thing his grandfather taught him before taking over as the Yakuza’s leader, it’s that manners make a man… no matter the situation.

“Yes? And who might you be?” Izuku responds curtly and with an attitude.

“You don’t need to know my name… but it has come to my attention that you’ve been taking more than just money from Mr. Bakugou. Is that right?”

As if Eijirou isn’t even there, Izuku looks beyond the alpha to meet Katsuki’s tear-filled eyes. “Kacchan, who the fuck is this alpha? Get rid of him or-”

“Or what?” Eijirou interrupts, stepping towards Izuku with his chest pushed out. Fuck manners. He’s seeing blood. “You’ll take advantage of my omega? You’ll reap the benefits of something that isn’t yours? How would your boss feel about you sexually assaulting another alpha’s omega?”

“Kacchan, what’s he talking abou-”

“No!” Eijirou growls, lunging forward to wrap his hands around the other alpha’s throat before slamming him onto the closest table. “You don’t get to address him. Not anymore. If you have any issues with his debt payment, you come to me.” Eijirou presses into the alpha even more, watching him turn a dark shade of blue before he reluctantly lets him go.

With breathless coughs and wheezing, Izuku stumbles backward. “You’re out of your fucking mind! Once I tell my boss about this, you-”

Before Izuku can continue, Eijirou is taking a step towards the other alpha, watching him flinch in the process. “I think it’d be wise of you to leave now.” Eijirou almost whispers. “And stay away from Mr. Bakugou. Consider this your /only/ warning.”

As Izuku sprints from the bar holding his already bruising neck, Katsuki lets out the breath he didn’t realize he was holding.

“Eijirou?” Katsuki whimpers as fearful tears drip from his eyes like a flowing river. “He… He’s gonna tell his boss. They’re… They’re gonna kill me if I don’t...” Katsuki chokes on a sob. “Sleep…ing with him was the only resource I had to delay the… the payments.”

Eijirou is quick to quiet Katsuki down, wrapping his arms around him in a protective way that feels… right.

“Don’t worry about the payments. Don’t worry about anyone hurting you… I’ll take care of everything, ok?” Eijirou trills as Katsuki’s arms snake around him in return. “No one hurts my omega.”

After a few minutes of being in each other’s presence, Katsuki finally drops his arms, causing the alpha to do the same.

“I need to get some sleep.” Katsuki admits, eyes drooping as they stand there. With a nod, Eijirou is letting Katsuki walk him towards the door when the redhead stops in his tracks.

“Come stay with me.”

Katsuki looks up at the alpha with curious eyes before Eijirou is running a hand through his hair. “Look, I have plenty of room. You’ll have your own bedroom and bathroom, and I can give you your own personal driver so that you can come and go as you please. I just…” Eijirou steps closer to the omega before gently reaching for his hand. “I need to know that you’re safe. Please, let me do this for you.”

The thought of being in a safe place where Izuku can’t find him makes his anxiety lessen. He can feel his shoulders already start to fall, knowing he won’t have to defend himself for once in his life. Being taken care of is something so foreign to him, but not entirely unwelcome when its coming from Eijirou.

With a soft nod, he agrees, making Eijirou smile wide and toothy.

“Go ahead and pack a bag for tonight while I use your phone to call one of my men to get your room ready. We can bring some more of your stuff over tomorrow after you close the bar.”

With another shy nod, Katsuki is turning towards his tiny bedroom at the back of the bar to pack as much as he can into his old crossover duffel.

After just a few minutes, Katsuki sleepily reappears with the small bag of his things. Without thinking about it, Eijirou takes the bag from him before following Katsuki out of the bar and watching him lock the door behind them.

/Protect omega/ Eijirou is reminded as they climb into the waiting town car.

Eijirou wants nothing more than to court Katsuki... to officially make him his. He's never felt so strongly about anything in his life. But with Katsuki now having a target on his back thanks to Izuku... his top priority is making sure Katsuki is safe, no matter what.

Chapter 5: Is it my fault?

Chapter Text

The sound of the bumpy road headed towards Eijirou’s home keeps Katsuki alert.

The sound competes with the stifling silence that settles between the two of them sitting very close in the back seat.

“Almost there.” Eijirou says softly.

Katsuki doesn’t bother to respond, too busy staring out the window as the dense trees consume the road they’re on. As they approach the gated and heavily guarded compound, Eijirou begins to shift in his seat, preparing to get out of the car as his driver parks near the entrance.

“Wait here, ok, Katsuki?” Eijirou huffs as he gets out of the car and lightly jogs towards the front door of the house, leaving Katsuki in the car. He tries to see where the alpha went but can’t see past the structure of the porch.

Reaching over to unbuckle his seatbelt, Katsuki’s shoulders relax at the sight of the redhead jogging back to the car. With a grin, Eijirou opens the trunk to grab Katsuki’s bag before opening his door.

“Sorry about that. Wanted to make sure everything was set up for you.” Eijirou explains as Katsuki shuffles out of the car.

“‘s fine.” Katsuki mumbles as they walk towards the house.

Once inside, Katsuki is greeted by two men.

One of them - an alpha - is similar looking to the redheaded alpha but sports a silver hair color. The other is a lengthy alpha with long black hair that’s tucked neatly behind his ears. He’s older; definitely older than Eijirou.

“Katsuki, I’d like to introduce you to my brother, Tetsu and my uncle, Aizawa. If I’m not around to assist you with something, they’ll be able to help.” Eijirou explains, watching as Tetsu stiffens up.

“I don’t like this, Eijirou.” Tetsu blurts out, not even acknowledging the omega. “Now's not the time to be hosting guests. Especially an omega.”

Eijirou steps up to the silver-haired man, puffing out his chest in an authoritative manner. “//Katsuki is our guest. You will treat him as such.//

//Alpha command//

Katsuki’s never heard one before. The only alpha he was ever close enough with to maybe hear it from was his aunt… but she was anything but authoritative… especially with him.

Tetsu closes in on himself at the command before looking Katsuki in the eyes and slightly bowing. “‘M sorry. Welcome.”

Katsuki hangs his head in return, offering him a soft smile before he’s being drawn towards the older alpha.

“It’s nice to meet you, Bakugou.” Aizawa says calmly, yet authoritative… his voice commands attention in a way that makes Katsuki feel secure.

Before Katsuki can reply, Eijirou is resting his hand on the small of his back. “I’m sure Katsuki would like to get some sleep.” He says curtly.

With a quiet, “nice to meet you both”, Eijirou is leading Katsuki down a hallway before opening a door near the end. The room is different from the one he stayed in last time he was there. This one is much larger. It has an en-suite bathroom and a lounging area that makes Katsuki’s tiny room back at the bar look like a closet.

“Will this be ok?” Eijirou asks, watching the blonde cast his eyes across the room in awe.

“This… is all for me?”

Eijirou nods in response, offering up his most genuine smile as he sets Katsuki’s back down on the bed.

Katsuki shuffles over to the bathroom and turns on the light to find a standing bathtub and a fresh set of towels sitting on the toilet lid. He can’t remember the last time he took a bath in a real bathtub.

“Eijirou…” Katsuki starts, walking back into the main room to stand in front of the alpha. “...this is too much.”

Eijirou waves a hand at the omega. “Nonsense. I want you to feel at home here… and for that, you need your own space. It’s really no trouble at all.”

Katsuki crosses his arms over his chest… thinking back to Tetsu’s words: Now's not the time to be hosting guests.

“Eijirou, I don’t want to be a burden to anyone.” He says simply.

As if the alpha was reading his mind, he walks over to the door to close it lightly. “If this is about Tetsu… please don’t let him influence your comfortability here. He’s just been on edge lately… nothing you need to worry about.”

Katsuki averts his eyes. He was already uncomfortable with the idea of staying here… Tetsu didn’t influence anything… he just confirmed his already uncomfortable thoughts.

/Comfort Omega/ Eijirou’s alpha advices.

“Hey…” Eijirou says, stepping forward to place both hands on his shoulders, making Katsuki look up at him. “You have a home here. Don’t worry about the others… focus on what I’m saying. I want you here. You are always welcome here, okay?”

With a gentle nod, Katsuki lets his body take control… taking a half step into the alpha’s space and letting him indulge himself in a hug. Katsuki’s omega purrs at the contact as Eijirou hums his approval, snaking his hands around the omega.

“Eijirou - will you scent me… p-please?”

“‘Course.” Eijirou responds quickly before letting his glands push out his unique smell of leather and bourbon. At the smell, Katsuki lets out an audible hum, nuzzling his head into the alpha’s chest even more.

“You should get some sleep…” Eijirou mumbles.

With a tired nod, Katsuki pulls away, despite the overwhelming cry from his omega. Ignoring his second gender, he strolls over to the bed and unravels the perfectly made sheets.

“If you need anything, my room is right across the hall.” Eijirou points towards the hallway before grabbing the door handle and opening it with purpose. “Good night, Katsuki.”

“G’night, alpha.”

The next few days are seamless. Eijirou’s driver takes them to the bar each day and they close up by cleaning up the day’s mess together and heading back to Eijirou’s home.

Over the last three days, Katsuki’s been able to sleep through the night… not worried about anyone coming in and hurting him. It was nice… different… but welcoming. The security of his new room and Eijirou gives him the confidence to build himself a nest. He’s never built one before… never living in a place that seemed safe enough.

He was constantly afraid of Izuku ruining it if he tried making one… so he just… didn’t.

Eijirou was very accepting of the idea. He noticed Katsuki building a nest the day after he moved in and unceremoniously left a few of his scented blazers outside his door. Katsuki took the pieces of clothing with much admiration… wanting to thank the alpha, but never verbalizing it. Instead, he scented one of his t-shirts and left it for the alpha in return. I guess you could call it a pre-courting, courting gift?

As Katsuki finishes up in the bathroom, he starts to get dressed, looking over at his nest with pride… the alpha’s blazers tucked neatly between several blankets and a stack of fluffy pillows.

Smiling back at his safe space, Katsuki opens the door to look for the alpha.

It’s Sunday… the only day of the week that Katsuki closes the bar. Admittedly, he isn’t sure what he’s going to do today. He always spends his days off deep cleaning the bar to prepare for the next week. But ever since Eijirou started helping him clean up at the end of every night, he’s been able to focus on the more tedious cleaning details.

Right away, he glances across the hall and finds Eijirou’s bedroom door open and the room empty.

With a simple hum, Katsuki walks down the hallway, following the subtle sound of voices coming from another part of the house. Carefully and slowly, he tiptoes down the hall… not wanting to interrupt.

“Eijirou, you’re not listening to me! Two of our guys were attacked last night and all you care about is that fucking omega! He’s. Not. Worth. It.

“I am listening to you Tetsu… but if we left him at the bar last night, he would be dead right now! What the hell am I supposed to do!? Let it happen!?”

“So you would put that omega’s life over your men!? What kind of leader are you-” Tetsu’s voice ceases at the unfamiliar smell of citrus and ocean spray. “-whatever. I have a meeting.”

As Katsuki stands around the corner, Tetsu passes by, looking at him with a disgusted expression.

Just as the front door slams shut, Eijirou is poking his head around the corner to greet the omega. “Good morning, firecracker.” He says with a cheery smile.

“Someone was attacked?” Katsuki asks, eyes swelling with worry at the thought of anyone getting hurt because of him.

“No! Well… yes. But they’re ok.”

Eijirou’s explanation doesn’t seem to help as Katsuki’s eyes start to overflow and he dips his head… refusing to look the alpha in the eye. “Oh, Katsuki… please… Please don’t cry.”

“It’s because of me, isn’t it?” Katsuki cries.

Eijirou looks down at the omega, not wanting to lie to him… but also not wanting to tell him the truth. The truth is, shortly after they left the bar last night, two of Eijirou’s men who were patrolling the area were jumped.

“Katsuki, listen to me. None of this is your fault. These people are just trying to scare us… me.

But it’s not gonna work, ok? Because you’re here… and no one’s gonna hurt you or anyone else as long as I’m here.”

Katsuki wants to believe him. He really does… but a small part of him is telling him to go back to the bar… to not let others fight his battles. This no doubt has something to do with Izuku and he doesn’t want to be left in the dark anymore.

“Eijirou… I- I need you to tell me what’s really going on.”

Katsuki’s words are firm as he looks up to meet crimson. With a breath, Eijirou shakes his head in agreement. If Eijirou wants to court him one day and hopefully be his mate, he deserves to know the truth… even if it may scare him away.

“Why don’t I tell you over breakfast?” Eijirou suggests, motioning towards the kitchen where a smaller alpha is preparing a meal for them.

Katsuki takes a step past the redhead with a nod before sitting at the breakfast nook.

Chapter 6: Mine

Chapter Text

It’s been years since Katsuki has enjoyed a breakfast at this caliber. He cherishes each bite, thanking the chef immensely as they leave him and Eijirou to talk.

It was almost difficult for him to fully focus on the conversation with the incredible food happily dancing around his taste buds, but he managed… and is now sitting in front of the alpha with a bewildered look, pushing his empty plate aside to let his head rest on the table in his arms.

“Wait… wait, wait, wait… Let me get this straight- you’re the leader of one of the most feared groups in Japan?” Eijirou nods. “And you want to… to…”

“Court you-” Eijirou finishes the blonde’s sentence before dipping his head with a deep breath.

“Look, firecracker, I know this is a lot to take in… and if you want the relationship between us to stay professional, then I completely understand. But if I’m being honest with myself... I won’t be able to stay away from you unless I know you’re safe. Now that Midoriya and his gang off assholes have it out for you I-” Eijirou’s breath hitches and he falls silent as Katsuki’s hand cups his face.

“Alpha…” Katsuki says simply, making Eijirou turn into the embrace with a trill. Eijirou hums as the two sit comfortably in the moment… not needing to say another word to know that what they feel for each other is more than just professional.

“...I-Is that a yes?” Eijirou asks. /Yes! Say yes!/ Katsuki’s omega screams before he’s frantically nodding his agreement, letting Eijirou pull him into his orbit.

Straddling the alpha at the breakfast nook, Katsuki allows himself to sink into the redhead little by little before their lips are connected with a zing… fitting together like a missing piece to a magnificent puzzle.

Katsuki feels strong hands grip around his hips, making him whine into the kiss as his free hand glides through red locks. Katsuki’s never been more sure of a decision in his entire life. Knowing that this Alpha, this big time Yakuza leader wants him as a mate makes his heart stutter in his chest.

Waves of happiness waft off of the redhead as Katsuki purrs with a smile lifting on his lips, Eijirou smiling back.

The blonde hums, pressing in impossibly closer. Both of them groan when they finally move together, still careful in their actions. The distance dwindles as their lips continuously connect and their bodies become flush. The movements are extravagant, yet subtle as their touches soften into a loving caress. Slowly, Eijirou’s arms move down to place them on Katsuki’s waist, reeling him in more. The blonde does as such, his own arms wrapping around the redhead’s neck.

Katsuki reels back, taking in air. He stares at the Alpha, taking in the moment as if he’s stealing it from a popular romance novel.

“Omega…” Eijirou whispers, scanning Katsuki’s form before his grip tightens slightly. With a soft smile, Katsuki rests his forehead against Eijirou’s. “…My alpha.”

Just before bed that same night, when the evening light was a dim shade of orange and red, Katsuki and Eijirou went on a walk around the property.

Living in the woods along the outskirts of town had its perks; mostly due to the number of hiking trails Eijirou had his men carve out when he bought the land.

The walk is peaceful. Birds are chirping in the distant trees as the sound of a small stream nearby burbles against the rustling of the leaves in the evening breeze.

As they walk at a steady, but slow pace, Katsuki’s hand brushes against the alpha’s… making him flinch with a quick apology. The apology falls short though, as Eijirou grabs Katsuki’s hand, raising it up to his lips to kiss the back of it gently.

“I’m so happy, firecracker.” Eijirou coos, intertwining his fingers with the blonde’s before looking ahead at the plush, green trail.

“So am I, Eijirou.” Katsuki retorts, still too nervous to talk to the redhead without blushing. The nerves are pretty silly… considering they were snogging in the kitchen earlier today as if they’ve been doing it for years.

Regardless, relationships are foreign to Katsuki… so it’s going to take a little bit of time to get used to everything. “I’ve arranged to have a few of my men move the remainder of your belongings from the bar to your room tonight… I hope that’s alright.”

Katsuki hums with a nod, “t-thank you, Eijirou.” “I just want you to be comfortable. This is your home now, afterall.” The thought makes Katsuki’s head spin. Hei can’t believe this is real. He found himself a mate. A strong mate that will move mountains for him.

How did he get so lucky? “So-” Eijirou starts, eyes now glued to the dirt under his older pair of dark blue, oxford sneakers. “-I have to go out of town for a few days…”

Katsuki slows his pace for a moment before picking it back up quickly. Why wouldn’t he tell him this sooner? “It’s only for two nights… and I’ll be back before you’ll even know I’m gone.”

“-but... what about...?” Katsuki mumbles, tears welling up in his eyes as Eijirou stops him along the trail to face him, pushing out a gentle scent that quickly calms the worrying omega. What if Izuku gets to him while Eijirou's away? What if he can't protect himself? What if...

"Hey, hey, look at me." Eijirou says with a soft expression, placing a hand on his shoulder while wiping a tear away with the other.

“I've asked Tetsu to look after you while I’m gone. He’ll accompany you to and from work and will make sure Izuku and those thugs don’t come near you in my absence.”

Katsuki's fears don't seem to dissipate as he remembers the look in Tetsu's eyes when he first met him. Utter hatred... "Tetsu... doesn't like me, Eijirou... what if he..."

"I'd trust Tetsu with my life, firecracker... and right now, /you/ are my life. I promise, nothing will happen to you while I'm gone... do you trust me?" Of course Katsuki trusts him - Its Tetsu who puts him on edge. But, if his alpha can trust him, so can he.

With a shaky nod, Katsuki agrees, urging himself to try and relax. The next two days will fly by... he's sure of it. "O-Okay, alpha."

Eijirou grins before pulling Katsuki in and engulfing him in a giant bear hug. "You'll be ok, firecracker. You're ok."

Katsuki holds back the tremble he feels beneath his skin... the alpha's even breathing and steady heartbeat fill him with the slightest bit of ease.

"Eijirou...?" Katsuki questions, face still muffled against the redhead's chest.

Petting the back of his head with a comforting, loving touch, Eijirou hums.

"C-Can... Can I stay with you tonight?"

Katsuki instantly wishes he could take that statement back, not wanting to sound too forward as their relationship just started - but Eijirou trills at the idea. "Yes. Yes, of course you can, firecracker. Anything you want."

Katsuki's shoulders buckle down as he relaxes into his alpha's embrace. He just wants to be as close to the redhead as possible... especially since he'll be leaving for a few days.

"When do you leave?"

"Tomorrow morning."

With a sad sigh, Katsuki breathes in his alpha's thick scent before pulling away with a nod.

"I'm... going to miss you..." Katsuki whimpers. His omega has never been this clingy before... it's odd, to say the least.

"I'll miss you too..."

The conversation died as Eijirou lightly took hold of Katsuki's hand and started towards the direction of the house. Little by little, the dark night sky was threatening to overtake their hike.

As they make their way inside, Eijirou peaks at the grandfather clock in the corner of the room reading just after 9PM. Breaking away from his omega, he smiles with a set of instructions.

"You go ahead and get ready for bed, firecracker. You can meet me in my room whenever you're ready. I just need to do something really quick." With a fast nod, Katsuki takes small steps down the hallway towards his room as Eijirou turns the opposite direction, beelining towards the west wing of the complex towards Tetsu's room.

"Tetsu..!" Eijirou calls out before knocking a few times and waiting patiently for his brother to open.

"...Jesus... what?!" Tetsu growls as his muffled voice turns solid with the door swinging open.

"Wow... nice to see you too, Tetsu. My evening was great, thanks for asking."

"I'm busy right now.. what'd you want?" Tetsu snarls, half looking back at his bakelite telephone sitting off the line on his coffee table with someone on hold.

"I'm just reminding you that I'm leaving first thing tomorrow morning and that you're to look after Katsuki until I return." Tetsu rolls his eyes at the other alpha as if to say, 'you really came knocking at my door to remind me of something I already know?'

"Yes, yes. No one will hurt your precious omega while you're away - is that all? Because I have some other business I need to attend to."

Eijirou chooses to ignore his brother's attitude, being as he's too tired to fight with him tonight. Before he could fully nod his agreement, Tetsu slams the door in his face and can be heard apologizing to the person he had left on hold. Eijirou finally walks away, making the hall light illuminate once again from underneath the door as Tetsu continues his conversation.

"...Sorry about that - As I was saying - everything is set up. Eijirou leaves tomorrow morning, and the bar will be unlocked after closing."

Silence dwells in the room as Tetsu listens carefully curls the telephone cord between his fingers. "Yes, you too. Thank you Ms. Yaoyorozu - goodbye."

Katsuki changes into his pajamas before grabbing his pillow and scented blanket and tiptoeing across the hall into Eijirou's room. The smell of leather and bourbon is immense as soon as he passes the door's archway. Katsuki inhales deeply before making his way over to the bed.

The room is rather large - about two times the size of Katsuki's. Complete with a sitting area and an en-suite bathroom, the space is fit for a king, which in this house, Eijirou is.

Actively scenting the blankets on Eijirou's bed, he turns quickly at the sound of the door squeaking open. The redhead stands in the doorway, looking at him in complete awe.

"W-What's wrong...?" Katsuki asks, face turning a shade of pink as he averts his eyes.

"Nothing! You... You just... You look amazing, firecracker."

Katsuki shifts side to side at the compliment, meeting his alpha's eyes gently with a smile that makes Eijirou swoon.

"T-Thank you, alpha." Katsuki says shyly as Eijirou crosses the room to tower over him.

"Katsuki..." Eijirou almost sings, making Katsuki close his eyes and take in the subtle touch of the alpha. "...can I kiss you?"

Katsuki responds by leaning in slightly, standing on his toes to reach the alpha. Eijirou is the one to push the rest of the way in and connect their lips in a soft, gentle kiss. With one fell swoop, Eijirou is lifting the omega slightly onto the bed, their lips never breaking apart. Katsuki’s never felt this kind of passion for another person.

It feels so terrifying, yet so exhilarating to feel a new set of hands run aimlessly along his body. Katsuki can’t help the moan that escapes him as the alpha climbs over him, resting respectfully between his legs.

“So gorgeous. My perfect omega…” Eijirou praises before kissing Katsuki along his jawline and down his neck as if he’s on a mission.

“W-Wait… Ei…jirou…” Katsuki breathes out, trying to stifle a moan. Almost instantly, the alpha stops what he’s doing and backs off the blonde, looking down at him with every ounce of concern in his being.

“What’s wrong, firecracker? Are you okay?” He asks, giving Katsuki some time to breathe.

“I… w-we should…stop.”

“Too soon?” Eijirou finishes, watching the omega nod with a hint of despair painted on his bright red face.

“‘m sorry, alpha. I- I want to… It’s just…”

“No need to explain anything to me, firecracker. I understand.” Eijirou’s words give Katsuki a swell of comfort. He's not used to having an alpha actually stop when he asks.

"C-Can you hold me, Eijirou?" Katsuki asks, making Eijirou crawl over him with a fond smile before resting easily against Katsuki’s side. Immediately, Eijirou's scenting the area that domes them before the blonde is nuzzling into his side with a purr.

The two drift off into a calming sleep as they hold each other close... so completely unaware of the storm that is about to hit.

Chapter Text

The next morning is a gloomy one. Skies dusted with a cover of gray clouds as a cold front creates fog among the tree tops.

Katsuki wakes up to an empty bed and a note on the pillow next to him from Eijirou.

//Firecracker — I didn’t want to wake you… you looked so comfy and peaceful. I scented the clothes in my dresser. Feel free to claim anything as your own. I’ll be home before you know it. Be safe and try to relax. -your alpha//

The note makes him smile before he’s rolling out of bed and walking towards the dresser, wrapping himself in a tan colored cardigan that smells of leather and bourbon.

With a deep breath, Katsuki grins. “…alpha.”

Ripped from the momentary scented haze, Katsuki jumps at the sound of pounding at the door.

“Mutt! We’re leaving in 20 minutes. Be ready or I’m leaving without you!” Tetsu shouts with attitude before stomping away.

Mutt… Katsuki repeats in his head. Yeah, Tetsu really doesn’t like him. He still doesn’t know what he did to deserve his hatred… regardless, Eijirou trusts him, so he will too.

Shaking off the silver-haired man’s rude behavior, Katsuki covers his nose with the cardigan, letting his eyes roll to the back of his head as he inhales deeply. He misses Eijirou so much and he only just left.

With a relaxed hunch of his shoulders, Katsuki walks across the hall to his room to get ready for the day.

Roughly 15 minutes later, Tetsu is yelling for Katsuki at the front door as he speed walks towards him. “S-Sorry… ‘m ready.”

Tetsu rolls his eyes and pushes past the doorway towards the black car waiting to take them to the bar.

It’s Monday and the blonde is ready to be back at work after going on hiatus for the last few days. It was nice for him to take that time to relax, but he’s ready to get back to work.

Once Katsuki and Tetsu are in the car, Tetsu yells at the driver to go and they start moving.

As the trees blur past the windows, Tetsu focuses his attention /anywhere/ but the blonde.

“Tetsu?” Katsuki asks firmly… probably too firm for an omega… at least in Tetsu’s eyes.

He grunts his response. “Whatever I did to make you hate me so much, I’m… I’m really sorry. I don’t want any bad blood between us.”

The sound between them is a sharp silence as Katsuki shifts his gaze from the alpha to his hands in his lap and back to the alpha.

“Eijirou doesn’t know what’s best for him.” Tetsu snaps before turning his head to meet Katsuki’s eyes with a mean glare. “You are the last thing he needs right now. I’m going to do everything in my power to keep our family strong — just… stay in your lane until he gets back. Got that?”

Not wanting to start a fight, Katsuki nods, urging his body to not release the intimated scent he’s so desperately trying to keep in.

He still doesn’t know what he did to deserve Tetsu’s hatred… whatever the reason, he’s going to do as he’s told and stay in his lane until Eijirou gets back.

The work day couldn’t have ended any sooner. As he waved the last customer off, Tetsu lingered by the door, occasionally glancing outside at something, but Katsuki doesn’t know what.

The bar was silent, save for the sound of glasses occasionally clanking together as Katsuki scrubs them clean.

Every once in a while, he’ll sneak a peak at the alpha so suspiciously waiting by the bar door, looking more stressed than usual.

“Tetsu…?” Katsuki tries, but is cut off by the alpha perking up as headlights run across the walls of the bar from the street.

“Be right back.” He says before dipping outside without another word.

At the action, the air shifts into something negative. Every part of Katsuki is telling him to flee, hide… do something, but his body is telling him he’s being ridiculous.

That is… until Katsuki’s omega cries out run!” just as his senses flew off the wall and his body ran cold at the sound of the bar door opening.

Looking up at the silhouette walking in, he freezes at the sight of two men in all black following an all too familiar alpha.

“Evening, Kacchan. Long time no see.”

Katsuki’s entire body falls apart at the alpha’s voice, his foul scent already hitting his nose.

“W-What are you doing here?” Katsuki whimpers with fear, stepping back behind the bar as Izuku steps forward.

Izuku chuckles. “Isn’t it obvious? Your precious alpha didn’t want you anymore… sold you off for a pretty penny. Good enough to clear your debt, actually-”

Katsuki’s too stunned to move… to talk… to… comprehend. Eijirou? He wouldn’t do this to him. Would he?

“Now, why don’t you be a good little pup and come to your owner.” Izuku torments, trying to corral Katsuki towards him.

As a last ditch effort to escape, Katsuki throws a glass at the men before running around the bar towards the exit. He almost makes it until something hard hits the back of his head and everything goes black.

The last thing that flashes through his mind is Eijirou…

Katsuki feels the pounding in his head as his heart ramps up in his ears. With each turn of his head, he feels pressure radiating from where that man hit him earlier.

“Wha-?” Katsuki winces when his eyes finally open and he slowly focuses on his surroundings.

He’s sitting in an old wooden chair in the middle of a small room with no windows. Finally piecing together the familiarity of the room, he realizes where he is: his old room at the bar.

It looks like it’s been ransacked; dresser drawers are thrown out of place, the trunk he kept under his bed is open and emptied… and the only photo he has with his aunt that he kept safe and away in that same trunk is on the splintered wood floor, cracked in its frame.

The broken image makes him want to cry, but he can’t afford to lose himself in his emotions… not now.

“H-Hell….. Hello?” He grunts with a heavy breath, noticing his hands tightly bound behind the back of the chair. “Hello!?” He tries again with no response.

“Is anyone there!? Hello-!?” Katsuki yells once more and is silenced in fear by the sound of heavy footsteps followed by the rickety door swinging open.

“Tetsu!? Oh, thank god! As soon as you left some guys came in and attacked me! Did you catch up to them!? Are you ok or did they attack you too!?”

Tetsu’s eyes beat down on Katsuki as he slowly shuts the door behind him, lights dim and pressing against the room’s tattered wallpaper.

“W-What are you doing?” Katsuki asks over a cough, throat a bit dry and raspy from being knocked out for god knows how long. “Un-untie me!”

Tetsu says nothing, shoving his hands in his pockets before roaming towards the dresser in the corner of the room and leaning against it.

“I’m gonna level with you, firecracker.” The sweet pet name sounds like fire against his eardrums… reserved specifically for Eijirou, now used to torment him. “I’m not gonna untie you.”

Katsuki’s eyes blow wide, unsure of what Tetsu is doing or what’s even happening. He was supposed to protect him while Eijirou was away… not… this!

“Over the last few years, you’ve been a… distraction. You see, your presence in Eijirou’s life has turned him soft. Ever since he met you, he’s refused to participate in the most profitable business we do with so many groups across the world.”

Katsuki is confused, and it must show on his face as Tetsu stands up straight with an annoyed expression, pulling his hand from his pocket to rub at his eyes.

“The selling and breeding of omegas.” Tetsu’s tone is factual and unbothered - almost psychotic in his demeanor.

Katsuki can’t believe what he’s hearing. Sure, omegas have been looked down upon in today’s society, but never in a million years did he think someone as sweet and kind-hearted as Eijirou would be mixed up in something so… evil. He always imagined Eijirou being involved in the selling of weapons or drugs… but never omegas.

He wonders if he was ever going to tell him… if… if Eijirou was planning on selling him when they first met but fell for him instead— NO! There’s no way Eijirou would do that to him. They’re partners; mates! Right?

“So… what next? You’re gonna sell me? T-To do what? Prove a point?!” Katsuki spits, looking directly at the silver-haired man in absolute disbelief.

“No. Izuku is going to sell you. I’m just reaping the benefits. One: I can finally get Eijirou’s head out of the clouds. And two: well… Eijirou has always gotten everything he’s ever wanted. He got the role of Yakuza leader, our grandfather’s undying love and respect. And… well, sue me, but I think he’s had enough fucking things handed to him… he doesn’t deserve an omega too.”

Katsuki can feel his eyes starting to burn with frustration. He wishes he could somehow convince Tetsu that this isn’t the solution to his issues with his brother. Sadly though, it seems as though Tetsu has made up his mind and is too far gone in his hatred to give a damn about an omega like him.

Tetsu’s eyes leave the omegas for a split second as a cocky expression paints his face. With a gritty chuckle, he walks ominously towards the blonde, leaning down to cup his chin in a tight grip, definitely leaving a bruise along his jaw.

“So — later tonight Mr. Midoriya will escort you to our omegan holding facility where you will be examined and priced for auction.” Tetsu looks down Katsuki’s throat, licking his lips in the process as if he’s evaluating him. “And from the looks of you… you’ll be a top seller amongst breeders.”

Katsuki tries to move his head away from Tetsu but his grip tightens, making Katsuki whimper in pain. If he is going to be sold, he’ll have to endure so much more pain than what Tetsu is causing him right now.

The thought makes his body shake before gathering enough mental strength to ask a question.

“W-Why not just take me there now? Why are we still at the bar?” Katsuki asks… afraid to know what the answer is as Tetsu’s eyes graze over his heaving chest.

“… Well, Mr. Midoriya is a very generous man.” Tetsu says with a smirk, pulling away from Katsuki for a moment to loosen his tie before forcefully grabbing either side of Katsuki’s face roughly. “…he said I could have first dibs on breeding…”

Tetsu flashes a sinful smile before smashing his lips to the blonde’s, making him shout with discomfort at the feeling of foreign lips against his.

Katsuki breathes in sharply as Tetsu’s scent fills his nose, all too similar to that of his brother’s.

“Ei-Eijirou!! Eijirou-! ALPHA! ALPH-!” Katsuki cries out in desperation between involuntary kisses as Tetsu forces himself onto him.

“Call for him all you want, firecracker. But you’re my omega tonight.”
