The Best Supernatural Play

Summary:

We all know how in Fanfiction Dean and Sam watched a fairly shitty play of themselves. Well what if I wrote that play? What if I traveled dimensions and was in the right place at the right time. What if I was good at writing music?
Well this the musical, Human!Impala, Destiel, Sabriel, Midam play we deserve answers this as I forcefully shove all the fave ships together.

Notes:

Made this in one day while at Disneyland on my phone so sorry for any mistakes. Posting this while in line for Peter Pan actually. I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1: Act One: Scene One

Chapter Text

I stepped over the threshold of the school.

I remember how, just two weeks ago, I woke up here with a life, and I guess this is my life now.

It could be infuriating, but it’s not.

The only good thing is that I’m allowed to do a student play, and naturally I chose to write about Supernatural. I kinda felt like I was in 10x5, Fanfiction, or something.

The play was something I had spent hours working on, a miracle of emotion. It was the Musical episode we deserved and yet never got.

The basic plot was a witch cursed the town to be in a musical, and the boys decided to stop by so they went to the small town to take a break and they ran into Gabriel while during the opening number.

Because I am a diehard Sabriel fan there’s an emotional number between them clearing up the trauma of Mystery Spot and working through it. It’s called: ‘Trauma We Committed’. I hope it’s good as I tried really hard to make it work and for them to harmonize and incorporate their personalities into it.

Of course, the two songs ‘Oh My God, This Sexual Tention is Killing Me’ by Sam Winchester and ‘Dude, No Homo’ by Dean and Cas are my favorites and I spent hours working on having then meld seamlessly together in the final song when they finally pull their heads put of their asses and kiss at the same time to break the spell.

Of course, Sabriel gets together during a song inspired by a Pinterest post called ‘Movie Line Confessions’ in which Gabriel had cursed them to only be able to speak in movie lines until one confessed their love in a dramatic speech, hoping Destiel would finally go canon. This kind of backfires during a dramatic song that ends with Sam confessing his love.

Naturally, I also included the Impala becoming human. I had spun a wheel and decided on a hot 25 year old blond man who had abs and was absolutely the picture of stereotypical handsomeness who flirted with Dean and insisted he still call him Baby. The other option was a badass black 45 year old woman who kicked ass and hurt anyone who hurt ‘her boys’.

It was four hours long. So far.

I knew the youngest kids would hate this, which was why I had 10 minute intermission every 40 minutes. That was six breaks. Which meant they had to section off five hours. Luckily it was on a Saturday. And not a holiday. So they were good. Mostly. Some families decided they would just watch the video we were filming and watch that online instead. Of course we were filming it, four hours of a show deserved it.

So anyway, the real problems started when I was going over a rehearsal for Adam’s song, ‘Finally Released’

“I’ve been waiting for thousands of years.

Been lost and hurt and destroyed.

But I was safe with Micheal by my side.” He drew out those last few words.

“Good job on the chorus.” I called. “But would you redo the chain scene? The snap seemed under-enthusiastic.”

Our Adam, who was actually named Luke, nodded and grabbed the chains. He snapped them to his wrists as I dimmed the lights. This was the most emotional part of the song.

“I used to be caged in.” Luke started slowly. His words were low and thick with emotions.

“Locked up in the pain.

The world push-ing me down.

But now Micheal is my guide.

I’m throwing that de-sti-ney away.

So just break me out!” Luke shouted that last word and snapped his wrists up, the chains falling to the ground.

“I won’t drown. I’ll be strong-ger than before.”

“Good job.” I said, cutting his mic and falling back. “Wow, directing is hard.”

“Maybe because your play is five hours long.” said ‘Dean’, aka James.

“Four, technically. And no one is in too many scenes in a row for a reason.” ‘Sam’, or Kyle, pointed out.

I chuckled at their annoyance and turned. “We need to rehearse Gabriel’s arrival.”

The two boys got up, along with Dick, who was Gabriel, and Micheal, who was Castiel.

The set changer and the two boys got in position for their welcome song: ‘All the Monsters We’ve Hunted’, a song where they try and convince the townspeople to let them help.

“That’s- all the monsters they’ve hunted, yeah yeah yeah.” sang the chorus.

“I bet I can name some more.

Just give me a second and names will be coming to the core of the image.” Sang Gabriel in “disguise” from the center.

Dean and Sam spun to face the center and Gabriel spun out, throwing off the pieces of the disguise until he was Gabriel again.

He leaned over Sam’s shoulder.

“Hey there Samsquath, nice to see ya.” Then he spun back to the center.

“They’ve hunted everything and everyone out there.

We can feel safe now that they are here.”

They finished up with a big dramatic finish, in a circle surrounding Sam and Dean, jazz hands to highlight them, both looking mortified at the song they had just done.

Kyle and James quickly dropped the demeanor when I waved my hand.

“I love that line.” Dick announced.

“I know.” I said, redoing the art on a makeup art I wanted done on Charlie for her arrival. I had to rework that scene after our teacher-leader had made me cut ‘The Female’s Lament’. A song where all the women sang about all the ways they’d rather die than be in deal with the Winchester boys. I thought it was funny. Mrs. Kaylen thought it was too dark.

“Okay everyone, take five,” I clapped my hands and everyone dispersed. I turned and started when I saw two figures standing in the door.

“Hello.” The taller one said, rubbing the back of his neck. “Sorry to intrude.”

“Nah, it’s fine. Just wish I had a bit of a warning.” I sighed. “Working on my student project.”

“Ah, the play.” The shorter one said sourly. “What’s it about?”

“It’s the greatest Supernatural play of all time. It’s the musical, the Human Impala, Sabriel, Destiel, emotional play…” I dropped off when I saw the two men come into the light.

Dean and Sam Winchester.

Chapter 2: Chapter Two

Notes:

Me? Not updating for almost two years? It's more likely then you'd think.
Anyway, sorry I was gone, I got super tied up in a bunch of other shit, like moving up to highschool, then switching schools because I hated that highschool, then publishing my book, then some other shit.
Anyway, I went back to this document, and I found that I had, in fact, written this entire chapter already. Dunno when the next one will be done, but as this is done, I decided to post it.

Chapter Text

Like any fangirl, my first instinct was to immediately scream, hug them both, and then start crying from joy, and I never cry. Luckily I didn’t act on my first instinct.

Instead I started to rub my thumbnail against my pinky to ground myself. I had to keep my cool.

“Sounds good.” Sam said, coming forward a bit more. He looks like he’s good at hugs up close.

“Sounds long.” Dean said dryly. Holy shit, he looks even better at hugs. I just wanna wrap him in a burrito and not let anyone hurt him ever again and hug him and not let anyone use him and then shove him into Cas so they get over themselves. But only after I rebuild his self esteem.

“It is. Sadly I had to remove one of my favorite songs, ‘The Female’s Lament’ to cut down on time.”

“What was it?” asked Sam, tilting his head and he looked just like a puppy.

“A song of all the women detailing all the other ways they’d rather die than deal with the Winchesters.” I rolled my eyes. “It was apparently too dark for kids.”

“What were some of the ways?” Dean asked. He looked annoyed. Makes sense. He really didn’t like finding out about the books.

“Dismemberment, being dumped in a vat of poison, walking blindfolded into the street, stabbed, being a witch in Salem: 1500s.”

“Yeah, I can see why your teacher would call that dark.” Sam pointed out.

“Meh. I had to completely rework Charlie’s entry though.” I sighed. “Now she comes up to them right after the entry song.” It was much harder to write her into the rest of it. It was like five minutes, but still.

I spun in a quick circle and sighed. “Do you want to hear some of the songs?”

“Sure.” Sam said, nudging Dean when he muttered unhappily.

“Okay. This is my favorite. Dean’s song to Sam about Cas. Comedy gold. Plus, you get to listen to the ‘Fun Version’, where we just kind of fuck around and sing our lines.”

“Sounds… fun.” Dean says. He doesn’t mean it, but I can’t be mad at him. It’s an understandable reaction, for other people, I’d be ecstatic, and he’s also Dean Winchester.

“Yeah. It is. If you want, I can introduce you to the cast.”

Sam raises an eyebrow. How does he look cuter? Not Dean cute, but still.

“Yeah. Got anyone you want to come? I got room for…” I mentally counted. “Four guests.” Shockingly, I remembered an incident earlier when two people who looked like Bobby and Crowley had been buying tickets, but then I’d lost track of them and brushed it off. Now it made sense.

“I think I can call some people.” Sam said, tugging Dean outside. I smile and lean over, listening to their argument. Dean is firmly against staying. Luckily, in my other universe, which is apparently another universe, I was a witch. With a little sigil and muttered spell, Dean agreed to at least attend the first hour.

I smirked and went to the back briefly, leaving a note saying to wait for me. In the back I went to the women's bathroom and tried to focus. One thing I was sure of, if Sam and Dean existed, so did Midam.

I focused and started to speak a spell I remember reading about in a book I had found. It should summon Micheal and any vessel he was in. Micheal and Adam freed. A few minutes later they still hadn’t appeared, so I bookmarked that as a for later side project.

I ran back out to the front. Dean and Sam were sitting there. And next to them was Cas. Cas! Baby! Oh my god he’s so adorable. Why do they all have to be so cute. Fuck. I’m not cut out for this.

“This is-” Dean started.

“Cas.” I cut in. “Cas, nice to meet you.” Don’t use metaphors or turn of phrases. “I’ve heard of you.”

Cas was immediately on edge I noted. “Dean and Sam mentioned you.”

Dean and Sam looked at me. They had never told me their names. I moved closer to Cas, tugging on his trench coat so I could look at his eyes for a moment. He turned frantically to Dean, who scowled and pulled him back.

“Will you be inviting a fourth? Perhaps Sam’s boyfriend and/or girlfriend.” I waved at Destiel. “Since Dean brought his boyfriend.”

“We aren’t. We don’t.” Dean looked for words and panicked.

“Chill dude. Not that bad.” I rolled my eyes. “You look cute together.” I grew a sigil and quickly sent a small prayer to Gabriel. If this worked, and it had to, then more than just Destiel would work out.

“So what brings y’all to town? I know it can’t be my amazing five hour-but-technically-four hour play.”

Dean looked like he was trying to come up with something. I giggled at his look. A hope of being cool had flown out the window. Then my phone dinged.

I opened it to find a text from none other then Gabriel.

‘You called sugar.’ lit up in my notifications.

‘Yes.’ I texted back. ‘My name is Rosalind O’Hanlen. I need you to come to my location ASAP. Come in through the front door. Say nothing. Let me lead.’ I sent the text and waited.

I only had to wait a few seconds when the door opened and Gabriel walked in. Immediately, I started my plan.

“Hey Rick. Nice to see you!” I waved and jumped up a few times to wave. Rick. T rick ster. Not my best work, but I had no time.

“Hey Rosey-Posey.”

“Don’t call me that. It’s undignified.”

“Rosalind-Posalind.”

“That’s,” what my dad called me. “not better!”

He chuckled and ruffled my hair. “Sure kid.” I squawked and batted him away.

“Gabriel.” Cas muttered under his breath. Dean and Sam nod, hands hovering over where I’m sure they’ve hidden their guns and/or knives.

I turned and gave my best smile. “This is my good family friend, who I’ve known most of my life, Rick Loki,” what’s something painfully obvious but also not? “Mesyngyr.” Because Gabriel was the Messenger.

“Is she even trying?” Dean hissed to Sam and Cas. Mostly Cas. Shit. They probably thought I was a monster or something. Meh. I’d live. Probably. Honestly, I was a girl. I didn’t have great odds.

“Anyway, great to see you Rick. You in town for the show?”

“Yep. Can’t wait to see it.” he smiled.

“Great.” I pulled up the seating chart. I looked over it and carefully adjusted it so I could see. I saw where Bobby and Crowley were sitting under the aliases of ‘Jim’ and ‘Mark’ which actually made a lot of sense considering it was their actors names. I found a group of four seats next to them.

“I can sit you guys here.” I said. “Cas, then Dean, then Sam, then you.”

Gabriel shot me a ‘wtf?’ look. I tried to communicate that he needed to trust me, but I don’t think he was listening. Or paying attention. Or whatever it was. You know what I mean.

“Now do you want to listen to the song?” I asked as the cast began to come out of the back.
