Chapter Text
Hoseok was in need of this job, so he dressed with care. He loved fashion and had a large set of clothing from before money had gotten tight, he took great care of his clothing and so he had no danger of running out of things to wear.
He had also been the same size since he was in his early twenties, so everything still fit.
Today he picked a black slacks, a yellow sweater and a cute cactus shaped bag. His hair was dyed blond, with pink highlights and he had painted black nails as well. He was pleased with his look but it was time to get a seal of approval from his trusted critic.
Hoseok went into his son’s room who he had already finished dressing in his school uniform earlier and showed him his outfit.
“What do you think, baby?” Hoseok asked his five year old.
“You look pwretty,” Yuki told him, “Do a slow turn!”
Hoseok obliged and Yuki clapped enthusiastically.
He laughed and pressed a quick kiss to his sons’ cheek. He was so lucky to be able to parent such a soul.
“Thank you baby,” he told him, “We have to get going. Grab your bag and then I’ll get you strapped in the car seat.”
“Okay!”
Once that operation was done, Hoseok drove to the kindergarten and dropped him off. There were no tears this time and he was able to escape and get over to the mechanic shop where he was interviewing for the position of an office worker with ten minutes to spare.
“I am guessing you are here for the job,” a blond mechanic, who was slim built but still strong told him as he walked up.
“Ah- yes,” Hoseok said, hoping he sounded more confident than he felt.
“Good, you’re on time. He’s waiting for you, go up those stairs there, turn right and knock on the door that says BOSS.”
“Thank you… you are?” Hoseok asked him.
“Jimin. … I’ll find out your name if you get the job,” the man added, turning back to the engine he was working on.
Hoseok was undaunted by that.
“Thank you Jimin! I’m Hoseok, but you can call me Hobi. Good luck with work!”
Jimin looked shocked but with a wave Hoseok was off.
He greeted all the other workers he passed and they all looked at him as if he was a bit alien.
Hoseok was more street smart than he looked, he quickly picked up that a few were wearing motorcycle jackets with the same patches and logo at the back.
This place though it looked to be serving the normal citizens at the moment was owned or affiliated with a biker gang or group.
Hoseok didn’t know what to think about that right now. Not all biker groups were criminal and even the ones that were a little rowdy weren’t too bad.
He was soon in front of the door and he knocked lightly.
The door surprised him by sliding open automatically.
He was looking at a neat, but dark-tone space with a big desk and a chair surrounded by bookshelves.
The man sitting behind the desk was somber looking but undeniably handsome.
He was wearing a biker jacket like some of the others.
“Come in,” the man said when he hesitated.
What a nice voice, Hoseok thought to himself as he went in.
“Thank you. Good Morning, my name is Jung Hoseok.”
“Yes, I know you are the only one I chose to interview,” the man responded, “I’m Min Yoongi, call me Sir or Yoongi, either fine.”
The thought of calling his man Sir was doing very non-professional things to Hoseok at the moment. Now that he was close enough to really see the mans’ face, smell his cologne and drown in his aura, he decided that his new boss was drop dead gorgeous.
“Hello... Sir,” Hoseok said, giving a small bow before he sat in the chair.
“Well. You are polite, my phone already got three messages from the guys saying you’re pleasant and to hire you.”
Hoseok was stunned.
“Oh?”
“Yup, we really need someone to handle clients and bring a good vibe,” Yoongi explained, “You have a lot of experience with customer service and a bit of HR knowledge as well. I think you would be perfect for the office position.”
“Well, I thought the posting sounded interesting though I admit the biggest draw is the flexible hours, full disclosure I have a son and I am a single parent. The mom and I split early on and she deployed in the military.”
Yoongi was listening intently, his dark eyes showed that he was thinking though didn’t give any real clue about if it was a good or bad thing.
“You having a kid isn’t a problem, while the shop isn’t fully kid friendly, your office can be made to have some space for him if you ever need to bring him to work with you for whatever reason.”
“Wow that’s... I don’t know if the noise from the shop would be overwhelming for him though,” Hoseok said thoughtfully. He was not expecting such an offer and he was stunned.
“I actually made my office sound proof because I find it hard to work with noise, and I can clear out a corner for a bed if he needs to sleep,” Yoongi told him.
“Wow… that is more than I could hope for... “ Hoseok said. He paused to gather his racing thoughts before continuing, “Okay, so what about the hours? Getting here this morning after dropping him off wasn’t too bad, so a start time of 8AM is doable.”
“Once you get your work done, the hours are flexible. Booking is done online with calling as a backup only, so you can monitor that from anywhere. You’ll get full pay once you work at least thirty hour a week, we are open from Monday to Sunday 7AM to 8PM, so you can spread those hours over all seven days however you feel like.”
“This is too good to be true,” Hoseok said with a merry laugh, “I’m willing to take hold of the opportunity however. I would benefit from a detailed list of responsibilities and duties for this job and the salary so I can determine if it will meet my needs.”
Yoongi opened a file and handed him one sheet of paper.
It read, base salary was fifty thousand dollars.
Hoseok just stared at the figure for a long moment and then finally looked at the duties, for that high of a salary he was expecting to find a lot more written there than he did.
It read:
- Liaise with accountant with any staff concerns
- Organize staff roster
- Manage appointment system
- Accept payments if the cashier is overwhelmed
Hoseok looked up at Yoongi who was busy typing something on his laptop.
“Is this all, Sir?” he asked and Yoongi's eyes snapped to him.
“Yes, I think it is a lot,” Yoongi told him, “Don’t underestimate it. We can let you wait a couple weeks and revisit if the salary and workload match in your opinion.”
“Hm….” Hoseok would be an idiot not to take this job.
He was often told by his friends that he was too efficient and over worked himself. It probably wouldn’t be too bad if things swung back in his direction for a change.
“Any other questions?” Yoongi asked him.
“No right now,” Hoseok said, “ I know that you are probably in a gang but I couldn't find any information that seemed to suggest I would be in mortal danger.”
Yoongi smirked.
“We’re rough around the edges but you will be safe,” Yoongi told him plainly, “We take care of our own.”
Hoseok smiled.
“I accept them,” Hoseok said, “I am free to start as soon as you are ready.”
“Today?” Yoongi asked.
Hoseok held up a hand and quickly scanned his phone.
“Yup, I can do a few hours today,” Hoseok said.
“Good, by tomorrow I will have a laptop, work phone and tablet for you so if you want you can work from home some days. Here is the contract so you can look it over in your future office space. There are allowances, overtime and sickness benefits.”
Hoseok nodded and accepted the document and got up.
Yoongi followed suit and Hoseok realized he was slightly taller than the other man.
“Can I get you anything to drink?” Yoongi asked as he showed him out of the door and a bit down the corridor to a large, sunny office. It was bare ... kind of a blank slate but it had a desktop with two screens, file cabinets and a bookshelf.
“Some iced coffee would be nice but I don’t know if that is too fancy an order,” Hoseok admitted with a shy giggle.
“Not at all, I’ll send one of the boys for it. And one last point, you can also make changes to this office, the budget for that is also detailed in the contract." Yoongi told him, “I’ll go get the coffee for you.”
“Thank you!” Hoseok said to him.
Once Yoongi was gone he settled in to read.
Chapter Text
[three months later]
Hoseok has never been happier at a job. It was good not just for his wallet but for his home life as well. Since the hours were so flexible he was able to keep Yuki home some days and work from home.
Because of that Yuki was happier and healthier too.
There was only one small wrinkle in everything.
He had a HUGE crush on his boss and the only person who didn’t seem to know this in the shop was the man himself.
“I really like Uncle Yoongi!” Yuki was telling him as he watched the boy tie his shoelaces.
“Oh, any reason?” Hoseok asked, more to make conversation than anything else.
“He is nice and strong, he lifts me high and then when we play with Legos he makes the best builds just from his memory!” Yuki was quick to say.
A huge tub of Legos was the first purchase Yoongi had made for the corner of the office that was the newly dubbed ‘Yuki Zone’. It was a huge hit with his tactile and building-obsessed kid.
“Yes, you all made that space ship yesterday,” Hoseok commented, “I was so impressed.”
“It was so huge! Glad we took pictures!” Yuki said happily, “We will make a castle next time. I saw one I like on YouTube!”
“Oh! I can’t wait to see it,” Hoseok told him, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek and getting up, “It will probably be on Monday OK? How many more days is that?”
“Um… Friday, one, Saturday, two, Sunday, three… then Monday.. So Three!” Yuki answered.
“Excellent. High five!”
They enthusiastically high fived and then Hoseok got him out to the car.
When he got into work, he went straight to his desk because the mail had arrived and he to sort it.
Not long after the door opened.
“Here is your delivery of coffee and food,” Jungkook, one of the engineers on the team said as he came in with a paper bag and to go cup.
“Thank you, JK,” Hoseok told him happily.
“Where is the lil dude today?” Jungkook asked.
Jungkook was one of the men that Yuki really liked a lot. The younger man would go out of his way to spend time with Yuki and often sent home treats for him too.
“Haha, he is in school,” Hoseok told him, “I’ll bring him in Monday though, he wants to see the red car once more before it leaves the shop.”
“He has expensive tastes!” Jungkook responded, “I’ll be sure to get him something when I am on my way home then.”
“You don’t have too. You, Jimin and Sir, you are all spoiling him,” Hoseok lightly complained.
“You're still calling him Sir hmmm?” Jungkook teased him, “When are you going to ask him out?”
“Never!? He is my boss...” Hoseok exclaimed looking as panicked as he felt.
“And if he asked you?” Jungkook asks in turn.
Hoseok squinted at him. His instincts were telling him that match making was afoot. This was the most direct conversation he had ever had with any of the employees in the shop about his crush.
“What are you up to?”
“You caught me,” Jungkook said with a grin, “I am fishing to see if you would be open to a date so that the guys can start working on Boss-man and make him finally admit he wants to date you.”
Hoseok blinked in surprise.
“What?”
“Yea, he likes you back! And just like he can’t seem to tell you that you like him too, you’re no better!” Jungkook complained.
Hoseok blushed and looked down at his hands.
“I don’t know Jungkook, I have a kid -”
“Who the Boss adores, but continue…” Jungkook interjected.
Hoseok had to acknowledge that he was right, Yoongi was Yuki’s favorite ‘Uncle’ hands down. They often hung out in Yoongi’s office together while Hoseok worked and when he went to find them, Yuki would be fast asleep on Yoongi’s shoulder while the man continued his work quietly so as to not disturb him.
Yoongi also knew a lot of general knowledge and was very helpful with Yuki’s social studies homework. Really, the man was a great help with Yuki the days he had him here…
“Well... I can’t argue, but having to deal with my kid once or twice a week, versus everyday is a big change,” Hoseok said.
“Yea, but you aren’t giving it a chance… and that is a crime. The guys are tired of watching you tiptoe around each other…”
Hoseok sighed. He felt very lucky to be surrounded by so many supportive co-workers who were fast becoming friends but this part of it was a bit tiresome.
“You are all shacked up with Jimin now so you want to match everybody in the building!” Hoseok lightly accused him.
Jungkook didn’t deny it outright.
“Mmm.. Jimin and I had been fucking around for years before we settled down, this is different…” Jungkook said, “He’s probably nervous about asking you because he has a power advantage… but one of you is going to have to take the risk.”
Hoseok sighed deeply.
“OK, enough I have to call payroll because they messed up Namjoon’s overtime. I’ll think about it.”
“I’ll hold you to that! And also let it be said that the main gang are willing to babysit at any time if you need to go out at night” Jungkook said before he left.
By himself now, Hoseok sat for a minute in his emotions.
The main gang were Jungkook and Jimin, who were together finally, Namjoon and Seokjin who had been married for a couple years and finally Taehyung who is dating Jimin’s older brother Kaisan much to Jimin’s horror. Together the five of them were Yoongi’s main core of mechanics and they were considered to be shop managers.
Each had a unique personality but they were all overwhelming good, dependable men.
Still none of them held a candle to the Boss himself. Min Yoongi.
Hoseok knew that he had it really bad for his boss and the fact that the man was consistently nice not just to him and Yuki but to all his employees wasn’t helping.
The shop was very busy and because of that it was very successful. Yoongi, who lived in a large apartment above the shop, didn’t hoard all his wealth for himself, all the employees got good pay and the benefits were fantastic. Hoseok had finally been able to get a few niggling things sorted out for himself and Yuki.
Then there was the fact that the quiet but fun loving older man was just super good looking… and sexy. Hoseok had to admit he was still calling him Sir and not Boss or even by his name because he liked the way Yoongi’s eyes lit up when he said it.
If Yoongi did want him back then… Hoseok wasn’t sure what then. He couldn’t understand being even luckier than he was already.
He sighed and picked up the phone to make the call.
***
“I spoke to him,” Jungkook told Yoongi, who was in the office going through files and pretending to not be too invested.
Jungkook didn't continue though and Yoongi looked up at him, mildly irritated.
“Yes... and?” Yoongi prompted.
“Admit you care more than you let on and I’ll tell you,” Jungkook insisted.
Yoongi sighed.
“I admitted I have a crush, what more do you want from me brat?”
Jungkook grinned.
“Ahhh you look like an angry cat! Okay, no more playing… He likes you Boss. He’s worried you won’t want to be with him cause of Yuki and-”
“Absolute nonsense! I would only be so lucky to be that child’s step parent. What is he saying?” Yoongi quarreled and Jungkook looked pleased.
“I told him as much, anyway. You need to make the move… He’s reluctant,” Jungkook said.
Yoongi could understand that.
“Well... thanks for meddling I guess,” Yoongi told him after a short moment and Jungkook snickered.
“So what are we going to do to court him?” Jungkook prompted, coming over to the desk and attempting to sit on the edge.
Yoongi promptly pushed him off of it.
“Go away, demon!” Yoongi told him firmly, “I can handle my own business from here. I am thankful for your help.”
“Anytime!”
Jungkook waved and was off.
Yoongi sighed softly and opened the website and ran a search for first date gifts.
***
Hoseok was shutting down his computer for the day when Yoongi walked in. The man looked a bit tense.
“Is there an issue?” Hoseok asked.
“Yes, I would like to ask you out…” Yoongi said and Hoseok froze.
He didn’t expect it to happen at all far less so quickly.
He stuttered, his face filling with heat.
“I- I- I-..”
“Truly no pressure if you don’t… I respect your decisions.”
“No… I mean yes. I want to go out with you!” Hoseok said hurriedly when he felt Yoongi starting to give him an easy way out that he definitely didn’t want.
Yoongi’s smile appeared and Hoseok felt his heart flutter.
“Oh wonderful. Thank you, I would like to start with a lunch date since evenings are a little harder for you,” Yoongi suggested.
Hoseok noticed then that Yoongi’s hands were shaking a bit and the man seemed to notice because he stuffed them in his pants pockets. So endearing.
“That sounds great, Sir,” Hoseok told him.
Yoongi’s eyebrow rose a bit and his brow furrowed.
“Are you going to keep calling me that…”
Hoseok blushed.
“I- can I?” he asked shyly.
Yoongi’s eyes darkened.
“Ah, so you do know what you’re doing when you call me that,” Yoongi commented and Hoseok, too embarrassed to speak, nodded once.
“Very well, I like it,” Yoongi reassured him, “Get home safely and please message me when you get there.”
It wasn't the first time Yoongi had made such a request, but Hoseok felt a different response now. How fast things are can change.
“I will do, don’t stay in the shop too late,” Hoseok cautioned him.
Yoongi often worked far too long since he lived right upstairs.
“I won’t,” Yoongi promised before he smiled slightly and took his leave.
Hoseok’s heart was beating fast and he felt a bit lightheaded. He couldn’t believe that had just happened.
Just like that he had a date.
Chapter Text
Hoseok had been unable to hide his nervousness from Yuki. His very astute son was watching him rifle through his closet for the third time in the morning to try on something different.
“Daddy, why are you afraid?”
“I’m not afraid. I am just a little nervous, I am going out to lunch today and I want to look nice,” Hoseok told him honestly.
“You look nice in everything because you are adorable. And your hair is fabulous!” Yuki said.
Hoseok smiled broadly.
“You’re such a sweetie!” Hoseok told him gently, “I think I will just go with this then.”
‘This’ was a black slacks and green and white sweater.
“Yes! I love the color green,” Yuki exclaimed.
“I like it too!” Hoseok told him and they shared a smile.
After that, Hoseok finished getting ready and hustled them out of the house.
When he reached the workplace he did his usual, stopping in the shop to talk to all of the guys on duty, Casual conversations like this were invaluable for finding out about small issues before they became large ones
“I heard someone is going on a date today,” Namjoon told him teasingly.
Hoseok blushed faintly and nodded.
“Good luck, don’t be too nervous!” Namjoon said to him kindly, “He already really likes you so that is half the battle down already.”
Hoseok was glad for the encouragement even if it was a little embarrassing because his heart had been beating a little faster from the time he stepped out of his car.
“Thanks for that,” Hoseok responded quietly, “I feel so invested already that it is a bit scary.”
Namjoon’s expression softened and he looked up from the tools he had been rearranging in his tool box.
“That means you also really like him,” Namjoon said, “I was like that was Seokjin too, but it was just my anxiety making more of it than was needed. I have a good feeling that it will be the same in your case.”
“Are you harassing him?” Jimin called out coming over to poke Namjoon in the side. The other man was smaller and shorter but Namjoon often let Jimin take the lead.
“He isn’t,” Hoseok hastily assured Jimin, “Actually he just gave me some much needed words of encouragement.”
“As he should! I was holding his hand and practically guiding him into his relationship! The two of them were such a mess,” Jimin said and Namjoon rolled his eyes.
“No need to exaggerate as if you are Cupid! How long did it take for you and Jungkook to get serious.”
Jimin puffed out his cheeks indignantly.
“This is not about me! No changing the subject,” Jimin exclaimed and Hoseok took that as his opening to exit.
When he got to his office he was shocked to find a small, but exquisite bouquet of red and white flowers on his desk with a card. He knew it was from Yoongi just from the bold handwriting.
His face matched the color of the flowers even before he read the note.
“Dear Hoseok,
Thank you for accepting my offer of a date. Please also accept these flowers as a sign of my intention to make you mine.
Yours,
Yoongi”
Hoseok read the note three times before he finally tucked it away in his desk and sniffed the flowers. They smelled fresh and lovely and probably cost a lot.
He was between two minds as to how to handle this and finally he decided to relay his thanks in person. Hoseok gathered up his courage and walked over to Yoongi’s door and knocked.
It slid open immediately.
Yoongi gave him a shy smile and Hoseok’s heart melted.
“Morning Hoseok, I must say you look beautiful in that sweater.” Yoongi said.
“Thank you, you’re looking handsome as ever, Sir,” Hoseok responded. This was a normal conversation they would have but yet it felt different, they were flirting.
“I am glad you think so. How are you doing today?”
“I am excited for our date and extremely touched by the flowers you sent,” Hoseok answered, “I absolutely love them.”
“You’re welcome,” Yoongi told him with a cute, shy look, “I was hoping they would go over well.”
Hoseok was sure that sending flowers was probably not the norm for how Yoongi went about things. He hadn’t been kidding when he said he and his gang were rough around the edges. However, that made it mean even more to Hoseok. Yoongi was obviously trying really hard.
“It went over more than well really,” Hoseok assured him, “I have the warm fuzzies.”
Yoongi’s smile grew bigger and so did Hoseok's crush on him at that moment.
“I’m happy to hear that. How is the little one?” Yoongi asked him.
“He picked up on my nervousness this morning and assured me I was adorable in everything so I feel much better about myself in general. He went off to school with no fuss.”
“He’s not wrong. You do look fantastic in all of the outfits you come in with everyday. You are very creative, I don’t think I have seen the same fit since you started working here but I did notice you repeated some of the pieces.”
Hoseok was blushing. He didn’t know that Yoongi was paying that much attention to him and he was very flattered.
“Wow, you notice that?” Hoseok asked him incredulously, “I thought you were just being nice when you complimented me.”
“Not just, I meant what I said,” Yoongi told him, “You have a great fashion sense. I also see them on your IG and I make sure to like them.”
Hoseok had noticed that… but he had convinced himself that maybe Yoongi was just the sort of person who liked everything on his feed.
“Wow, just when I thought I couldn’t find you more attractive,” Hoseok said quietly.
Yoongi blinked slowly as if trying to process what Hoseok had said and then he blushed and ducked his head.
Hoseok giggled and decided they both could use a reprieve.
“I’ll go get my day started. I need to order stuff for the custodians,” Hoseok told him, “So I’ll catch you up later. I would like a chocolate donut today with my usual.”
“Will do.”
Hoseok blew him a kiss and beat a hasty retreat leaving Yoongi to call in the coffee order as he always did.
***
The place Yoongi chose for lunch was an outdoor space. It was by a natural lake, about an hour’s drive outside of town and Hoseok already felt like this was going to be one of the best dates of his life.
The café wasn’t too crowded and the staff were friendly. The menu didn’t even have prices on it which told him all he needed to know about how expensive it was.
He didn’t worry about it though, and simply ordered what sounded good to him. He knew that Yoongi could well afford it.
“This is really nice,” Hoseok said with a sigh, after the waitress had brought back his fruit seltzer and Yoongi’s wine.
“I’m happy you like it. I took recommendations from the guys as to where to take you and I got the name of this place from Taehyung,” Yoongi told him before sipping his wine.
“Ah, he has great taste in general,” Hoseok commented, “Not surprised he would know a good place for lunch.”
They lapsed into companionable silence for a moment. Hoseok watched Yoongi covertly, thrilled to be here with him. Just sitting here felt right somehow.
“I bought you a first date present,” Yoongi said suddenly, “It’s just a bracelet, but I think you’ll like it.”
He slid a small box on the table. Hoseok opened it with trembling hands, he was so shocked. It was a delicate black and gold flower bracelet. It was from one of his favorite brands. It struck him then that Yoongi really had been paying attention to him.
“Oh wow, this is fantastic!” Hoseok exclaimed, “I had my eyes on this. Thank you.”
Moved, he got up, much to Yoongi’s surprise and hugged him.
“You’re welcome, Sunshine.” Yoongi said.
Hoseok quite liked that term of endearment and he said so before adding, “Put it on me.”
He sat, pulled his chair closer to Yoongi and stuck out his hand. Yoongi carefully fastened the bracelet onto Hoseok’s hand and he was smiling. Hoseok joined in on the smile himself.
“Oh my goodness, it’s perfect.”
“You’re perfect,” Yoongi gushed and Hoseok covered his mouth with his hand and gave into the giggle of pure joy bubbling up in him.
He managed to calm himself when the food appeared but he was quivering with good feelings long after the food had been demolished. He had taken pictures of the food and was now posting it to his IG while Yoongi handled ordering them some dessert.
When he was done he reached for Yoongi’s hand and intertwined their fingers.
“I want to take you out on a date this time,” Hoseok told him, “Another lunch date tomorrow.”
“Of course, I would love that.”
“And while you are so amenable, could I get a little kiss?” Hoseok asked, throwing caution to the wind.
Yoongi leaned forward without hesitation and claimed his lips.
Chapter Text
The second date included Yuki and Hoseok had a feeling that this was the best way to go about it in the end. He collected Yuki from school and then passed back by the garage to collect Yoongi who was being teased by the guys about being picked up by Hoseok.
Yoongi’s eyes had lit up when he saw that Hoseok was wearing the bracelet he gifted him again today and that alone was enough to make Hoseok’s day.
Though they weren’t supposed to stay long, once Yuki caught sight of Jungkook and Jimin who were on shift today hanging outside the shop it was impossible not to linger a bit.
They were running around pretending to be airplanes with Jungkook lifting Yuki and helping him to win each time. Yoongi was leaning up on the car, with Hoseok next to him, watching the three play like they were all children.
“Your friends are really good for me and Yuki. Living so far from family isn’t easy and I was worried he was missing out on that sort of experience…”
“Mmm... he’s such a delight,” Yoongi told him and Hoseok was surprised when Yoongi casually put an arm around his shoulder.
He was blushing now he knew but pleased beyond measure.
Hoseok saw Yuki look over to them, whispered something to Jimin and then to Jungkook and the three of them started to laugh.
“I just know that child of mine is saying something about you hugging me,” Hoseok said with a soft laugh.
“Do you mind?” Yoongi asked.
“I told him we were going to be going on a date and he was over the moon,” Hoseok told him, “He really likes you.”
“It’s mutual,” Yoongi said simply, “Thank you for letting me basically court both of you together. I understand the weight of having a child and I am not going to shy away from it.”
Hoseok glanced over at him. Their eyes met and he became suddenly quite shy and looked away just as quickly. Yoongi gently rubbed his shoulder but didn’t comment, Hoseok was grateful for that.
Soon they brought Yuki back over.
“OK, you all can have him now! We need to get back to work,” Jimin said.
“Don’t miss me too much!” Yuki told them blowing kisses, “I will be here on Monday and I expect snacks!”
Jungkook snickered, “Sure thing lil buddy! Enjoy yourself at lunch Boss. We’ll hold it down here so no need to rush back.”
“What he said,” Jimin said in agreement.
“Thank you. I am going to take you up on that,” Yoongi assured them.
They waved goodbye, Hoseok got in the driver’s seat and Yoongi buckled an excited Yuki in.
“Can you sit in the back with me Uncle Yoongi!?” Yuki asked and of course Yoongi gave in after a quick check with Hoseok to make sure it was OK.
They were going to park not too far from here so it wouldn’t be too long a drive anyway.
The two in the back were chatting about Yuki’s day at kindergarten and Yoongi was getting the whole story about how the resident classroom bully tried to take away Yuki’s toy and he told the teacher.
“He tried to call me a snitch and I told him that we aren’t friends so I don’t get points for being loyal! Hahahaha!”
“You handled that well, kid,” Yoongi told him.
Hoseok peeped in the rearview mirror in time to see Yuki beaming with pride at Yoongi’s praise. Hoseok took in a shaky breath.
He was really doing this.
***
Hoseok had packed a comprehensive picnic basket and now Yuki was happily unpacking it and announcing everything to Yoongi who was on hand to help him lay it out on the checked blanket.
They had spread it out under a tree near to the lake and it was really a lovely afternoon with a slight breeze and cloud cover. The park wasn’t overcrowded either since it was a weekday.
“Oh grapes! I love grapes!” Yuki exclaimed, “Oh and there are donuts too!”
“I love donuts,” Yoongi commented, “The glazed ones are my favorite.”
“They are tasty,” Yuki said seriously, “But I prefer ice cream cake.”
“I didn’t buy any because it would melt but we can have some soon,” Hoseok promised him.
“Thank you Daddy! You’re awesome!”
Hoseok grinned.
“You’re good for my ego, honey,” Hoseok responded.
“You are good for mine too!” Yuk responded, “Whatever it is!”
Yoongi chuckled and started to explain what ego was and Hoseok packed up their plates with fruit and sandwiches.
They were soon eating merrily and drinking chilled sparkling water from wine glasses. Yuki got a real kick out of it.
“This is so fun! I like coming on a date with you and Uncle Yoongi!” Yuki exclaimed excitedly.
“That’s great we can do this regularly, I think,” Hoseok said, shooting a quick look at Yoongi whose eyes crinkled with happiness and he nodded, “At least once a week would be good.”
“Yay! That is so - OMG DUCKS!” Yuki cried out and he hopped up and was about to dash off but he caught himself mid run, “Uhhh! Can I go see the ducks Daddy?”
“Good boy for asking, sure go on but stay where I can see you,” Hoseok instructed, “And don’t get too close to them to spook them.”
“Got it! They are not pets!” Yuki responded by repeating what Hoseok often told him about wild animals.
“Exactly. Go on!”
Yuki dashed off and Hoseok shifted so he could keep an eye on him and Yoongi did the same.
“I am having fun too,” Yoongi said, suddenly breaking the companionable silence.
“Me too… you’re good company…” Hoseok told him softly.
“You’re pretty company,” Yoongi countered.
“How did you end up complimenting me,” Hoseok asked him with a giggle. He found he laughed a lot when he was alone with Yoongi, it was like he was a young teen.
“How could I not? You steal my breath whenever I see you,” Yoongi told him earnestly, taking hold of his hand and rubbing his knuckles.
Yuki ran up to show them a leaf he found, and then ran off again. He seemed not to notice or be unfazed by the fact the two of them were sitting a bit closer together and holding hands.
“You make my heart race, just like now. I don’t think I ever had a crush this big and it just seems to grow,” Hoseok told him.
“This is our second date,” Yoongi reminded him.
“I know Sir but… '' Hoseok started and hesitated because he suddenly ran out of words. He watched Yuki climb up on a large rock and pretend to be using a spyglass to look off into the distance.
“But?” Yoongi gently prompted when the silence prolonged.
“Sorry, my mind just glitched a bit,” Hoseok sheepishly explained, “I feel like coming to work at the garage with you all has been such a huge blessing, getting to date you too feels like more than my share of luck.”
Yoongi sneered.
“Say that nonsense again and I’ll spank you,” Yoongi warned in a voice that made sexual heat flood Hoseok’s body and he licked his lips.
“Was that supposed to be a threat cause…” Hoseok started and Yoongi narrowed his gaze on him.
Hoseok checked on Yuki just to give himself a reprieve. The boy was sitting on the rock now, singing and being adorable.
“Don’t be naughty,” Yoongi warned him, “You know what you’re doing calling me Sir, but if I have to define it we can do that.”
Hoseok shook his head.
“No you don’t have to... But it’s overwhelming to go from being essentially dumped and abandoned with a child to someone wanting the both of us,” Hoseok explained.
“I understand but perhaps you need to, and I am not being flippant, get some therapy and talk it out. I don’t mind countering your low self esteem, so don’t think that is what I am saying, but I can’t magically fix it and I want better for you.”
Hoseok had been accused of such by some of his friends. He nodded, he felt the spirit in which it was said.
“I appreciate you addressing it so plainly, but can we get back to the spanking…” Hoseok asked teasingly.
“Heh. No. Not when we’re not alone for me to give you a demonstration,” Yoongl responded.
Hoseok shivered and blushed.
Yuki came over then and asked for a drink and Hoseok prepared one. There was still ice in the bucket thankfully. While he was at it, he poured some more for Yoongi as well.
“Thanks Daddy! It’s nice out but still I got sweaty!” Yuki exclaimed.
“You seemed to be enjoying sitting on the rock,” Yoongi said, “Were you making believe?”
“Yes, I was on a ship sailing over a huge lake to get to the dragon!” Yuki explained, gesturing, “We were going to go and ask the dragon for gold.”
“You are very brave,” Hoseok said, “I wouldn’t.”
Yuki scooted over to Yoongi and whispered into his ear. The two of them giggled and Hoseok pouted.
“Hey no telling secrets in a crowd!” he protested.
“He told me you are scared of all insects, is that true?” Yoongi asked slyly.
Hoseok sputtered but of course he couldn’t deny it. Yuki flopped over laughing merrily at having outed Hoseok’s fear.
“I’ll keep you safe,” Yoongi promised and Hoseok blushed.
“Thank you,” he responded somewhat stiffly. Secretly though it sounded like a good deal, right now he had to brave it for his son but it would be nice to have someone else to do it.
Yuki ran off again and Yoongi pulled Hoseok into a hug. Somewhere along the way Hoseok’s last bit of reserve had fled, maybe it was the spanking conversation or the subsequent advice.
Either way he was able to rest against Yoongi and simply relax.
Chapter Text
[Next Monday]
Hoseok was helping out the cashier because they were pretty busy with routine oil changes and tire rotations.
Yuki was playing Legos with Yoongi as was the plan. The rambunctious boy had barely looked back when they got here, he had practically flown up stairs as fast as his little legs could take him and knocked on Yoongi’s door insisting to be let in as if he owned the place.
Yoongi seemed to agree because he met Yuki at the door and lifted him up immediately.
Hoseok had kissed each of them on the cheek and went off to start his day, leaving Yuki’s bag with his activities and snacks with Yoongi.
Every so often his mind was straying back to the weekend. He and Yoongi had been in constant contact on the phone whether in text or voice chat and it was still that feeling of it not being enough.
They had been flirting heavily last night, it had gotten a little spicy and Hoseok had to take care of it before he was able to sleep.
Tonight was going to be their first try at a night time date. Jimin and Jungkook were coming over with Tae to have a movie night and watch Yuki until he came back.
Yuki was also really excited about that and Hoseok was thinking he would have to keep him home tomorrow too because he would be shocked if Yuki went to bed on time.
They were supposed to be going on a ride on Yoongi’s Harley and then back to Yoongi’s apartment to “chill”. Hoseok didn’t know who they were trying to fool, if didn’t get some dick tonight he would go on strike.
“You look so fierce,” the cashier Heather commented, “What are you thinking?”
Hoseok was too embarrassed to admit it so he made up a story about the numbers not tracking. It was half the truth, so when she offered to help, she found the decimal point error after a bit.
“Thanks,” Hoseok told her with a smile, “It was driving me crazy.”
She chuckled and went back to dealing with customers and creating invoices.
When things slowed a bit, Hoseok went to check on his two. As he expected they were playing with Legos.
They were building a large castle. Yoongi had bought another tub for this event and the two of them were deeply concentrating to the point he stood there for almost five minutes and neither of them noticed.
Hoseok got his phone out and took a few pictures, sent them to Yoongi and then went back to his deck to continue his tasks.
[Later]
Lunch was pizza with the two members of Yoongi’s gang that were on staff today, which happened to be Taehyung and Jungkook.
The two of them were best friends of the type that were always bickering and playing pranks on each other.
Yuki liked this energy and was sitting in between the two of them giggling and joining in the playful jousting.
That left Yoongi and Hoseok to have a little ‘alone’ time to catch up.
“How far along is the castle?” Hoseok asked, “Do you think you can finish it today?”
“Almost done, Yuki gets so focused when he’s building. It’s adorable,” Yoongi commented.
Hoseok looked at him slyly out of the corner of his eye and couldn’t resist adding to that, “You do as well, did you check your phone yet?”
Yoongi declared he hadn’t and he got up to get it and returned. He scrolled through and when he saw the photos of Yuki and him playing together, his eyes widened and his face took on an expression of tender joy.
Hoseok’s heart ached. He had known before that Yoongi really cared about Yuki but in that moment he internalized it as an undeniable fact. This man really truly liked and accepted his son.
“Haha, we look like we are doing serious business!” Yoongi commented. He put down his phone and went back to eating.
Hoseok reminded himself to chew.
“Indeed, it was so cute. I had to get a picture, you all didn’t even notice me.”
“I realize that now, sorry!”
“No need to apologize! I got a lot of work done this morning, you rested and Yuki had the time of his life. Winning all around,” Hoseok told him.
His heart was still skipping a beat as his new realization continued to rattle around in his mind. He was more optimistic about this turning out in his favor than ever had been before.
“You should take a couple hours off this afternoon and hang out with him, I’ll cover for you,” Yoongi suggested.
“That sounds good,” Hoseok said, he took the opportunity more readily than he normally would, “I am also really looking forward to tonight, Sir.”
Yoongi leaned close to him and whispered, “We can see how you like spanking.”
Hoseok’s eyes sparkled with mischief.
“You mean we’ll see if you are man enough to follow through,” Hoseok teased him back and Yoongi smirked. Hoseok swore he felt his cock jump in his boxers at the sight of that confident look.
This man was going to be the death of him.
“You’ll see,” Yoongi told him and Hoseok shivered at the intense look.
Yuki came over, breaking the mood. He wanted to steal some of his Daddy’s pizza. Hoseok was the only one with a whole slice left because he had been paying more attention to talking to Yoongi.
“Go on baby, you can have it,” Hoseok encouraged him.
He earned himself a smile.
“The whole thing?” Yuki asked.
“Yes,” Hoseok assured him and the boy picked up the whole plate and made off with it.
Yoongi and Taehyung burst out laughing and Hoseok was too stunned to speak.
Jungkook though directed Yuki to put back the plate so Hoseok still had something to rest his other slice on.
“This child,” Hoseok tutted.
“In his defense you did tell him yes when he asked if the whole thing,” Yoongi was quick to point out.
“Not you on his side,” Hoseok pouted, “Well! I see how it is going to be.”
“But Daddy you are on my side too!” Yuki pointed out which showed he was listening to them more so than Tae and Jungkook who were bickering about whose bike was the fastest.
“Of course I am baby, eat your pizza,” Hoseok encouraged and Yuki flashed him a thumbs up sign and then started to inhale the pizza.
“He's been eating more now as compared to when I first met him,” Yoongi commented, “I think he is a couple inches taller too.”
Hoseok chuckled.
“Yes, he has grown lately. We have a chart at home, I’ll have him show you tonight when you come over.”
“That sounds good,” Yoongi commented.
Just then Yoongi's phone rang and he excused himself to answer.
Hoseok got up and started to clean up the pizza boxes and juice boxes. Yuki came to help as soon as he was finished and they made short work of it.
After they washed their hands, Hoseok decided to take his time with Yuki now.
They settled on watching something together and picked one of Yuki’s favorite cartoons.
They snuggled up on the couch in the Yuki Zone and started their afternoon off with old Sesame Street videos. Yuki loved Kermit the most, so he would be happy to do this for at least an hour.
***
Yuki was squished in between Jimin and Jungkook with a big bowl of popcorn wearing his dragon PJs. They were going to watch Monster’s Inc and he was not at all perturbed by the looks of it.
Hoseok waved goodbye one last time, reminded them all the contact info and instructions were on the whiteboard in the kitchen and went outside to meet Yoongi.
Hoseok was dressed in shorts and a biker jacket that Jimin had given him. It had the gang’s logo on the back. He wasn’t wearing anything else under it, and had it zipped halfway.
Yuki had told him he looked pretty while Taehyung had pulled him to one side and stuffed condoms in his jacket pocket saying, “you look like you plan to get ridden tonight, not the Harley.”
Hoseok’s cheeks were still red from that statement.
It was all worth it though to see the way Yoongi reacted when he caught sight of him. His mouth literally dropped open and then he cursed. He had been leaning on the bike but he got up and met Hoseok halfway pulling him into his arms.
“I can’t believe you are going to be astride my bike before you climb astride me,” Yoongi said to him in a voice that settled Hoseok's nerves but ignited his passion.
“I could use the practice anyway,” Hoseok whispered back.
Yoongi groaned and kissed him.
It was a passionate kiss.
“Let’s go before I give into my demons and bend you over this bike in your driveway.”
Hoseok burst out laughing but then he shivered when he realized Yoongi wasn't joking.
This was going to be a hell of night.
Chapter Text
Yoongi drove them to an overlook point at one of the hills overlooking the city. It was secluded but relatively well lit. It was a bit cold out but Hoseok felt like he was burning up inside.
That had a lot to do with the fact that Yoongi put his hand on Hoseok’s ass and was squeezing his ass cheek.
They were making out like their life depending on that moment. The hunger and need between the two of them was spiraling out of control.
“I can’t believe you are wearing my jacket,” Yoongi rasped, “I don’t know whether to kill them or thank them.”
“Y-Your jacket?” Hoseok whispered, “I- didn't know. I’m sorry.”
“I’m not, fuck… I love it on you,” Yoongi told him before dipping his head to kiss along Hoseok’s exposed neck line.
“I’m going to kill them,” Hoseok muttered.
“Mmm… you sure? You seem to be enjoying yourself.”
Hoseok blushed and giggled, he had been palming Yoongi’s cock through his pants now for several minutes, getting more delighted the bigger it was getting.
“It’s nice,” Hoseok told him, “I always thought it would be a big”
“You’ve been looking when you should be working, tsk...” Yoongi teased.
“Hell, yes!” Hoseok said without shame, “You keep wearing those damn basketball shorts to work in the evenings… I’m not blind and it’s hard to miss.”
Yoongi chuckled then kissed Hoseok again, slowly this time... somehow the pace and mood of that kiss ratcheted up the sexual tension to the maximum. Hoseok was hard now too and Yoongi’s cock was straining against the fabric of his pants.
“I want to bend you over my bike,” Yoongi told him.
“Right here… in the open?” Hoseok asked. He sounded more scandalized than he really felt. His cock was interested…
“Mmm… objections?”
“No, Taehyung stuffed my pocket with supplies… “ Hoseok admitted.
“Haha, Jimin did the same when he came out to me,” Yoongi told him, “These boys of mine…”
“I love them truly, it’s been some of the best months of my life since coming to work there. Your gang has basically adopted Yuki and I and it means the world to me..”
“Not you tearing up,” Yoongi commented, “Achh… you’re so cute.”
“Not when I am crying I am sure, my nose gets so red,” Hoseok protested.
“You’re cute all the time,” Yoongi told him firmly, wiping his tears and peppering his face with kisses.
“Do you really wanna…” Hoseok asked him softly, he reached in his pocket and came out with a condom and a small pack of lube.
“Mmm.. of course I do, but it’s up to you,” Yoongi reiterated.
“Let’s make memories we’ll look back on when we’re old,” Hoseok said, throwing caution to the wind.
Yoongi grinned.
Subsequently Hoseok was folded over the Harley, thinking to himself it was actually more comfortable than he expected.
His shorts were down at his ankles, he hadn't put on any underwear either and when Yoongi saw it he had spanked his ass once, hard and called him a slut.
Hoseok swore he had almost come then and there.
“I’m your slut Sir,” Hoseok reminded him.
“Yes mine,” Yoongi agreed.
Hoseok didn’t expect to feel Yoongi kneel behind him and press his lips to his sensitive skin. They were really doing this.
“Ah! Oh fuckk… “ Hoseok whimpered when Yoongi spread his ass cheeks and started to lick at his puckered opening.
He was sobbing with pleasure by the time Yoongi switched to his fingers.
“Oh yes… You have just strong and nice hands,” Hoseok babbled.
SMACK!
“AH! Yes please... Spank me Sir!”
Yoongi obliged, spanking him rhythmically while Hoseok bounced back on his fingers.
“I-I’m going to cum if you don’t s-stop,” Hoseok warned him. He was gripping the seat for dear life and his legs were trembling.
“Not until I’m inside of you,” Yoongi told him, “ Hold it for me, Sunshine.”
The 'Sunshine' hit his brain differently and Hoseok's whimper probably could be heard a mile away.
“C-can you believe I am doing this…” Hoseok muttered when he felt the press of Yoongi’s sheathed cock at his entrance.
“Doing what exactly?” Yoongi asked in a husky tone. He didn't really give Hoseok a chance to answer before he was sinking inside of him by degrees.
Hoseok was moaning but Yoongi paused suddenly.
“Sir?”
“Doing what?” Yoongi repeated.
“Taking cock out in the open,” Hoseok answered, squeezing his eyes shut as the embarrassment hit him.
“Do you want it?” Yoongi asked him.
“Yes, Sir.”
“Do you want to wait?”
“No, Sir,” Hoseok answered swiftly, “Please give it to me.”
Yoongi's hips surged forward and he buried the last inch of so into him and Hoseok saw fireworks behind his eyes.
“Take it then, baby.”
Hoseok didn’t answer in syllables just grunts and sex noises.
Yoongi fucked him solidly, slapping his ass occasionally like he was adding spice to the mix. Hoseok came almost immediately when Yoongi found his prostate and started to hit it on purpose.
After that he was just coasting on a high that seemed impossible to really handle. He was overwhelmed … he had never felt so good. He wasn’t even sure his body had ever cum so thoroughly.
When Yoongi finished, Hoseok was crying softly.
“You took me so well baby,” Yoongi was saying. His voice was tender, his hands gentle as he cleaned them up, fixed Hoseok’s clothing and then pulled him into his arms and hugged him.
The moment was a long one. Hoseok cried it out.
“It was so good, Sir,” Hoseok told him, “I don’t know why I’m crying.”
“It’s OK, you’re overwhelmed. You’re safe here with me.. . You’re so good for me... I’m proud of you.”
Hoseok shivered and chanced a look at Yoongi’s face and the emotion he saw there mirrored his own and tha calmed him down.
“If I say I love you will you blame it on the sex?” Hoseok asked him.
“No,” Yoongi said to him, “I already know you love me, Sunshine.”
Hoseok blushed and hit his chest lightly.
“Hey now! Don’t steal my thunder…” Hoseok protested.
Yoongi laughed and kissed him gently.
“Sorry, go on and tell me,” Yoongi encouraged.
“I love you, Sir,” Hoseok said to him seriously, “You make me feel so many things but love is one of them. And now, my ass is vibrating on a different frequency than the rest of my body… only you ever made me feel that way.”
Yoongi cackled.
“What the... What a way to put that, Sunshine,” Yoongi told him, “I love you too, and I look forward to proving it.”
“Mmm.. What's the time? Can we still hang out at your place a bit?”
“Yea, you wanted to get back in by eleven?”
“Yeah, well I don’t want to keep the guys there too late,” Hoseok said, “I know they said they don’t mind but I will worry about them being on the road late.”
Yoongi kissed him.
“Mm we’re a biker gang, Sunshine, roaming at night is our thing, don’t worry about them.”
Hoseok sighed softly.
“You can’t be roaming all hours of the night when you have kids, I hope you realize that,” Hoseok told him primly.
Yoongi's eyes widened a fraction and then he nodded.
“You’re not wrong, Sunshine, but that won’t be a problem. When I am a Daddy, he comes first.”
Hoseok shivered.
“Ah… a Daddy mmm… That suits you Sir,” Hoseok told him and he was being a bit naughty.
Yoongi seemed to pick up on it because he caressed Hoseok’s smarting ass a bit more roughly causing him to moan and rise up a little on his toes.
“You know what you’re doing and you know you can’t handle it. Behave for me.”
“Sure thing Daddy,” Hoseok teased. He laughed merrily when Yoongi growled at him.
“You’ll live to regret it if you don’t tone it down,” Yoongi playfully warned him, “I am a man of simple tastes and intense passion.”
Hoseok had just experienced that first hand.
“Let’s go… take it slowly on the way back too or I might be limping tomorrow..” Hoseok told him.
Yoongi to his credit didn’t make fun of him.
He did as he asked, and on top of that he stopped at a 24 hour convenience store and got them a couple hotdogs, drink and meds for Hoseok.
They sat at one of the small tables inside and devoured the food.
“Thanks for taking care of me, Daddy” Hoseok felt compelled to say, though he added the last bit to be cheeky.
“Of course, Sunshine, anytime.” Yoongi answered without missing a beat. Hoseok squinted at him thoughtfully while he sipped his juice. He had expected to get under Yoongi’s skin with that comment but the man didn’t seem phased.
“Why are you sulking?” Yoongi asked him.
“Ah, I’m not really but I expected more from you when I called you that,” Hoseok admitted.
Yoongi reached over and gently tucked some of Hoseok’s pretty pink hair behind his ears. Then he settled the bracelet neatly on Hoseok’s wrist, fixing the twist in the chain.
“You managed to make me hard again,” Yoongi told him quietly, “If you wanted to ruffle my feathers in some way, you can consider the mission accomplished.”
Hoseok was pleased to hear that and he grinned,
Yoongi just shook his head and took another bite of his hotdog.

Chapter Text
The next day Yuki was a ball of energy and Hoseok was lagging behind. When they got home, Yuki had been asleep, as were Jungkook and Taehyung. Jimin was up though, just relaxing on the porch with a cup of tea and scrolling through his phone.
Even though he went straight to bed, he hadn’t been able to really settle down. His body was alive and buzzing from the afterglow and he already missed Yoongi and was thinking treacherous things like wanting to wake up next to him in bed instead of going to sleep alone.
The morning had come around much sooner than he would have liked and he ended up being late to take Yuki into school and changed plans last minute to bring him to the office.
When Yuki noticed he was a bit tired he volunteered to play quietly on his tablet instead of their usual in-car conversation and Hoseok was once again touched by what thoughtful and kind soul he was privileged enough to be raising.
When they got to the garage however, Yuki showed him another side of the coin. His knack for saying the darndest things with a straight face and a serious voice.
“Hey there Yuki!” Namjoon said, “Didn’t expect you to be here today but as always it is good to see you!”
“Hi Joonie! Daddy is tired from his date with Uncle Yoongi so we were too late for school,” Yuki said.
Hoseok blushed a fiery red when Namjoon and a couple of the other guys started to snicker.
“That just means he had a good time,” Namjoon said, after managing to find a straight face to present to Yuki.
“Yes! Going on dates with Uncle Yoongi is a lot of fun, I am looking forward to the next one,” Yuki said, “We are going to go to a beach!”
“I am sure your Daddy is looking forward to it too,” Namjoon said and the way he said it made Hoseok blush even more.
He quickly excused himself and took Yuki up to the office.
Of course they had to stop by to say good morning to Heather and after she got a hug from Yuki, they went to Yoongi’s office. However the man was not there.
Yuki was visibly disappointed and Hoseok shared the same feeling. He got Yuki settled in his area with a puzzle and stepped aside to call Yoongi.
The phone rang three times before Yoongi finally answered and when he did he sounded sleepy.
“Morning?” Yoongi muttered.
Hoseok felt sorry for calling, he had obviously woken the older man up.
“Oh sorry! I didn’t think you would be sleeping!”
“What, what time is it?” Yoongi asked groggily.
“It’s almost ten am…” Hoseok said.
“Fuck! I overslept!” Yoongi exclaimed, “I’ll be down in a bit.”
“Are you feeling unwell? Maybe you should rest?” Hoseok told him, worried now. Yoongi had always been at the office before him, he heard from the others that Yoongi was there when they opened up the shop most mornings.
“No, I went to bed very late, I was up thinking about you,” Yoongi told him.
Hoseok’s reddened cheeks got hot again.
“Are you serious?” Hoseok asked softly. He couldn’t believe he and Yoongi had been doing the same thing.
“Very. You impacted my soul greatly, the bed felt too big and too empty and my mind was filled with images of you bent over my bike.”
Hoseok sighed softly.
“It was the same for me. Last night was amazing…” Hoseok said to him.
“More nights like that to come,” Yoongi promised, “I won’t ever get enough of you baby."
“Well that is good because the feeling is mutual.. and by the way. Yuki is here with me today, he was really disappointed not to see you so when you come down can you pass by to see him?” Hoseok asked. He was confident that Yoongi would agree and he was proven right.
“Of course, I was going to come and get a hug from you anyway. You are like sunshine and my battery is solar powered.”
“Oh you charmer!” Hoseok said with a giggle.
“I mean it though, you bring light and warmth to my life. The pleasure is its own thing, but everything else about you is equally captivating.”
“Oh wow, I can’t handle all of this intensity… I will go now before I faint,” Hoseok told him. While he was being just a tad dramatic there was a lot of truth in what he was saying. Yoongi’s words made him feel weak in the knees.
“See you soon, baby,” Yoongi said in parting.
Hoseok put down the phone and took a breath to steady himself. Then he went over to where Yuki was playing with the dinosaur puzzle.
“Yoongi will be here soon, he overslept,” Hoseok to the boy and it both broke his heart and healed it to see how Yuki’s face lit up.
“Oh! You all must have played a lot on your date Daddy! You were both tired afterwards!” Yuki exclaimed.
Hoseok stumbled his way through a neutral response and he really hoped that the boy wasn’t going to repeat anything like that when Yoongi got here or he might have to dig a hole through the floor and bury himself.
Luckily nothing of the sort happened, Yoongi came in and after giving Hoseok a hug and kiss on the cheek he was now helping Yuki with the puzzle and the two were having an impromptu but surprisingly in depth conversation about the Jurassic period.
Yoongi continued to amaze him with his large store of random knowledge.
Hoseok left them to it and focused on putting together the roster for the upcoming month.
[Later that night]
Yoongi came home with them for dinner and somehow he ended up being the one that was cooking it.
Yuki didn’t normally help with dinner but of course he wanted to see everything that Yoongi was up to.
The menu was going to be pork ribs and cold noodles. Hoseok had only been a bit hungry but when Yoongi announced the menu after looking through the ingredients that Hoseok had on hand, he was suddenly starving.
“Snack on these,” Yoongi said, giving him a pack of crackers.
Hoseok thanked him and Yuki giggled.
“I can wash the vegetables!” he announced, dragging the footstool over.
“Sure thing Buddy,” Yoongi agreed, “Thanks for helping out.”
“Of course! I usually help with breakfast!” Yuki added.
“Then you are an expert sous chef already,” Yoongi told him.
“What’s that?” Yuki asked, standing up on the stool and turning on the water.
“It is a chef that assists the head chef in a professional kitchen, like at a restaurant.” Hoseok explained.
“Ohhh.. I wonder how much money they make,” Yuki commented.
Yoongi laughed and Hoseok joined in.
They had recently started to talk more about salaries, taxes and budgets. Yuki got his own pocket money now and had his own basic budgeting system.
“I’m not sure, but I’ll look it up and tell you later,” Yoongi promised.
“OK! I already decided that I want to be a mechanical engineer like you Uncle Yoongi!” Yuki told him.
He said it casually, not even looking at Yoongi so he didn’t see the struck look on the man’s face.
Hoseok’s heart trembled.
“That’s great but if you change your mind later on that is OK too,” Yoongi said after a moment.
“Yeah! I know. Daddy tells me you don’t have only one career for the rest of your life. You can change it like, like how you can change what you do in games.”
“Yup, exactly,” Yoongi said, “I fulfilled my dream of having a great garage but that doesn't mean I am done dreaming.”
“Never stop dreaming!” Yuki shouted and he struck a pose.
“Be careful on the stool!” Hoseok cautioned.
“Yes, Daddy! I am steady.”
“Good boy,” Yoongi praised him, “And I agree with that slogan. It is good to keep an open mind.”
“Haha, it is Daddy’s and my family motto. But when you join our family you can have it too,” Yuki told him.
Hoseok had been happily munching away at his crackers but that comment made him choke a little. He hastily drank some water while Yoongi was visibly buffering.
Yuki unaware of the bomb he dropped turned off the tap and announced the vegetables to be done.
Hoseok met Yoongi’s eyes and mouthed a hasty apology to clear his name in case Yoongi felt he had been given Yuki ideas. Yoongi shook his head and then sent him a message on his phone.
YG: It’s OK. I want to be part of his family anyway.
HS:!!! Sir?!
YG: Sir now is it? Makes sense, save Daddy for when I’m inside of you.
HS: SIR?!
YG: Hehehe. Come and cut these vegetables while I prep the meat.
HS: Yes Daddy.
YG: Bad boy.
HS: :P
Hoseok studiously ignored Yoongi’s piercing gaze as he got up to cut the vegetables. He had a feeling he would pay for it later but he at the moment had no regrets.
Chapter Text
Yuki was asleep having been happily told a story off the top of Hoseok’s head about dragons and knights. Yoongi had sat with them, and listened with rapt attention to the story.
At the end of it, Yoongi had smiled widely and told Hoseok that he had a way with words.
Now they were in Hoseok’s bedroom with the door locked and he was over Yoongi’s lap. His ass bare to the night breeze coming through his open window and he was questioning why he had decided to be cheeky earlier.
“Mmm, look at this cute butt,” Yoongi was saying as he felt it up with his strong firm hands.
Hoseok just groaned in response.
He had been spanked twice already and was already beside himself. He didn’t know he would like spanking this much, being Yoongi’s lover was really a learning experience.
This was billed as punishment but he knew it wasn’t really, this was much more of an award.
SMACK! SMACK!
Hoseok cried out softly and ground his hard cock into Yoongi’s thigh.
“S-so good,” he whimpered,
“Imagine you’re the naughty one but here I am serving you,” Yoongi said thoughtfully, “You’re spoiled.”
“Yes I am,” Hoseok agreed, “Please spank me more, Daddy.”
“Well since you decided to ask nicely,” Yoongi said, “Not too many more though, wouldn’t want to wake the baby.”
Hoseok didn’t mind that, to be doing this at all with his sweet child down the hall was a risky move. Yoongi though wasn’t hitting him too hard, the sound was dulled a bit so he didn’t mind.
The action of it though, was enough to be driving him straight to distraction. This man would certainly be the death of him but in the best way.
After three more spanks Yoongi lay him out on the bed, Hosoek was naked while Yoongi was still fully clothed. The man had been clear he didn’t intend to go all the way.
However what he was willing to do was to go down on Hoseok and turn the rest of his mind to mush. He was muffling himself with this fist or else the room would have been filled with his babbling nonsense.
It felt incredible. Yoongi was gifted with his tongue, Hoseok decided.
“I’m cumming!” Hoseok whimpered just as a warning but Yoongi didn’t budge, he continued to suck on his cock until he ended up slurping his cum right out of him.
Hoseok’s vision went dark. When it cleared up Yoongi was kissing his tummy gently.
“Oh my god…” Hoseok muttered, “That was... oh my god, you’re so good at that.”
“Glad to please you, Sunshine,” Yoongi said, with a bright smile, “Your pleasure is precious to me.”
Hoseok shivered.
“The things you say never fail to wind me,” Hosoek told him, “ You are precious to me. I want you to know that. The pleasure is a bonus.”
Yoongi pushed up higher and kissed him, it was a fierce, passionate kiss. Hoseok wrapped his hands around his neck and deepened the kiss even more.
It lasted for a good few minutes and by the time it was done Hoseok was feeling mellow and boneless.
“I love you,” Yoongi told him and Hoseok's heart slammed in his chest.
“Oh wow, I love you too Sir,” Hoseok whispered back, he was so shocked he couldn’t get it out of his mouth any louder than that.
“Mmm.. I didn’t expect to arrive here with you so soon, but you make me feel like a whole different man,” Yoongi admitted, “My life has been so much better with you in it, even when we were just friends.”
Hoseok nodded along with his words because he honestly felt the same.
“Dating you is just affirmations of the feelings I had. Watching you and Yuki together fills my heart all the way up to the top. I am so humbled by the way you treat him.”
“I love the kid,” Yoongi told him, “It’s not that big a deal sweetie, anybody without a black heart would be completely taken with him.”
“I think so, yes but I guess I am used to selfish people,” Hoseok reasoned.
“They are missing out,” Yoongi said firmly, he pulled away and Hoseok whined.
“I have to go,” Yoongi told him apologetically, “The time is not yet that I can stay the night.”
“I know you’re right but I hate it,” Hoseok said to him, “I hope the time comes soon.”
“You’ll know when you’re ready,” Yoongi answered, “I want you all to move in with me, my place is bigger and I own the lot out back so Yuki can have some dogs and a playground. The guys already have plans to put in a swing, slide and sand pit for his birthday.”
Hoseok didn’t even know what to say so he just stared for a moment and then burst into tears.
Yoongi looked a bit panicked and came right back to the bed to hold him.
“Why are you crying?” Yoongi asked him softly, “I didn’t mean to make you sad.”
“Happy and overwhelmed tears,” Hoseok managed to explain. He felt a bit silly but it was too late now, he tears were always streaming down his red cheeks.
“Awww. You’re precious,” Yoongi said, “Don’t get a feeling of imposter syndrome now, you deserve good things and Yuki certainly deserves all the love me and my boys can give him.”
Hoseok didn’t know if that was supposed to make him stop crying but it had the opposite effect, he cried harder and Yoongi started to whisper softly to him that he was pretty and loved over and over while wiping his tears.
When his tears finally stemmed, it was after midnight by then.
“You can sleep on the couch,” Hoseok said to him, “I don’t want you driving home so late.”
“You’re silly,” Yoongi chided him softly, “I am very comfortable with the night.”
Hoseok pouted though and so he eventually relented.
Hoseok got up and made a makeshift bed for him on the couch.
He tucked him in with a kiss similar to how he did with Yuki and resolutely made his way back to his room to sleep ignoring the voice in his mind that wanted him to stay with Yoongi instead.
***
Yuki had been beside himself to see Yoongi there that morning. Everything took just a little bit longer to complete but eventually, Yuki was off to school and Hoseok was following Yoongi’s car to work.
His mind was drifting a bit, filled with last night and the huge things that happened to them.
They hadn't had much chance to talk about anything this morning, and he wondered if work would be the appropriate place to pick up on such a heavy topic.
That decision was taken from him however, when they got in, there was a staff shortage so Yoongi had to work on the floor and Hoseok had to man the office by himself, taking over the admin duties that Yoongi had planned to tackle that morning.
It was a busy day too, so he didn’t see Yoongi again until lunch time when the man brought up a large brown paper bag with food and demanded company in his office.
Hoseok gladly agreed.
“Mm.. these sandwiches are so good,” Hoseok exclaimed. He had already demolished one BLT and was working his way through a chicken club.
“I thought you would like them,” Yoongi asked him, “How is the mango smoothie?”
“Top tier, not too sweet or anything. I like it,” Hoseok said in response.
“Happy with that,” Yoongi told him, “I got you a chocolate chip cookie too as a thanks for holding down the fort.”
Hoseok blushed faintly.
“My pleasure, you worked hard today. You’re sexy in your mechanic overalls.”
Yoongi smirked.
“Thank you,” he said, “If we are giving compliments, can I tell you how much I love that jumper you’re wearing?”
“You told me that at home,” Hoseok pointed out shyly.
“So? Worth repeating,” Yoongi told him cheekily, “Love the way it hugs your body.”
“Mmm.. thank you..” Hoseok said and he stuffed his mouth again before he said something embarrassing.
“Are we avoiding talking about our confession?” Yoongi asked bluntly.
Hoseok sighed.
“Trust you to go straight to the point. We can talk I guess, I still love you…” Hoseok said “It wasn't a heat of the moment thing for me.”
“Or me. Neither was saying I want you two to live with me,” Yoongi said, “I was thinking about it more though. If you want us to buy a nice three bedroom house not too far from here I can do that too.”
Hoseok blinked.
“You.. buying a house Yoongi, that’s serious.”
“Very serious, you called me by my name…”
“S-Sorry just.. wow..”
“If I am moving too fast…”
“No, I mean you didn’t say it had to be now… but in the future..” Hoseok said.
“Indeed.”
“I’m looking forward to it,” Hosoek told him earnestly.
“Me as well,” Yoongi said.
They shared a long lingering look - in Yoongi’s gaze Hoseok felt like he saw the same emotions he was feeling and that made him feel even more secure.
He had been a stranger to hope at one point out of fear but now he felt like it was like a cape he could wrap around his broken soul.
Hoseok reasoned to himself that the future was suddenly looking particularly bright.

Epilogue
[3 months later]
They were moving into a brand new house which was in a really nice neighborhood within walking distance of a great private school that used methodologies that Hoseok preferred.
Honestly Yoongi had been practically living at their house for the last month or so, but they left the official move for this time.
Closing on the house had been a bit nerve wracking and then packing up two different homes to try to fit into one was also more harrowing than Hoseok had anticipated and frankly he hoped that they never had to do that again.
Yuki had been a champ throughout all of it. To help ease him through it they had redesigned his room and allowed him to go crazy with little or no limit to what they were willing to do.
That had ended up with him having a Minecraft themed bedroom and a Lego themed playroom. He was excited enough about that that he weathered the rest of the ups and downs.
All the gang had turned out to help with everything but now they were essentially alone. The only rooms fully set out were the bedrooms and the kitchen and bathrooms. There was still a lot of stuff in boxes and they were eating pizza and drinking juice from paper cups.
Yuki was fast asleep in his bed.
“We did it,” Yoongi said and he sounded as tired as Hoseok felt.
“We did... with lots of help, a few tears and a couple dozen curse words.”
Yoongi chuckled and kissed Hoseok’s cheek.
“It was worth it to have my family under my roof finally,” Yoongi said and Hoseok hugged him tightly.
“We are both glad to be here, thank you for giving us a home,” Hoseok said.
He meant it in many ways. Yoongi had put the house in his name, saying he already had the garage and this was for him and Yuki. Hoseok had tried to refuse but Jungkook had talked him out of it.
At every juncture Yoongi proved that he was serious about them but also so caring and loving. Getting therapy for himself had also shown him more of what a good man Yoongi was and he fell in love with him more too.
“Thank you for being my man,” Yoongi responded, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” Hoseok answered, “In every way I can, and every day I hope to show you more of how I feel.”
“You do that every day,” Yoongi assured him.
“But I want to do more, Sir,” Hoseok told him.
“That’s fine to want to do it, but you really don’t have to, Sunshine,” Yoongi said to him before holding his face gently in both hands and kissing him.
They kissed for a little while and then pulled back naturally just as they heard the pitter patter of little feet.
Yuki in his dinosaur PJs, came in dragging his blanket.
“Aw... can’t sleep baby,” Yoongi asked, opening his arms and Yuki went right into them.
Yoongi lifted him up so he was sitting on both of their laps.
“I woke up scared of the new place,” Yuki said. He sounded so sleepy still, Hoseok’s heart hurt for him.
“What do you need?” Hoseok asked him, gently rubbing his back.
“Can I sleep with you all?” Yuki asked shyly.
“Of course,” Hoseok said in answer.
“That’s fine by me, kiddo,” Yoongi added, “We’ve all had a long day, let’s turn in.”
Yuki smiled a little and then let out a big yawn.
“Oh what a big yawn!” Hoseok exclaimed, “Let’s go, bed time for all of us.”
Yoongi lifted Yuki up and they went off to the bedroom together.
***
It was a slow day at the office, Yuki was in school and so Hoseok was hanging out with Yoongi in the breakroom, getting an impromptu shoulder massage.
“Magic hands I swear,” Hoseok muttered and Yoongi put a kiss on his cheek and then continued his ministrations.
“Hoping that tonight Yuki is a bit more settled,” Yoongi commented after a brief moment of silence, “It’s a lot of change.”
“Yea, but we’ll take it slowly,” Hoseok said in response, “No rushing him. I’m just glad that we will be in this place for the foreseeable future and he can finally get that puppy he wanted.”
“Or three,” Yoongi chimed in.
Hoseok chuckled, “Or three!”
“It’s a big responsibility so we’ll help out of course,” Yoongi said.
“You’re not fooling me if you think I don’t know you basically want the dogs for yourself as well and Yuki is a convenient excuse,” Hoseok told him primly.
He looked back at the older man and as he expected he found him grinning.
“Oof, you found me out,” he said teasingly.
“Haha, I don’t mind. I love animals,” Hoseok assured him, “We can add furry ones to the home.”
“Thanks for indulging me,” Yoongi said tenderly.
“Always, Sir.”
“You have therapy this evening right, so I’ll pick up Yuki and take him to the library and then we’ll pick you up after.”
Hoseok nodded, “Yes Sir, that is the plan. I think we should order takeout again; I didn't manage to finish unpacking as much of the kitchen stuff as I had thought.”
“That’s not a bad idea. How about some fried chicken?” Yoongi suggested, “Beer for the adults and juice for the kid.”
“Sounds fantastic, will you do his homework at the library?” Hoseok asked.
“Yup, if he has any, that way we can play tonight,” Yoongi answered, “The two of us are going to start a new Minecraft world so you can come and join us.”
Hoseok was very skeptical. He really wasn’t into video games but Yuki had begged him and he had weakened.
“Just don’t get frustrated with me when you see how bad I am,” Hoseok warned him.
“I won’t but you know our kid,” Yoongi said with a laugh.
“Yea.. haha he’s so particular..” Hoseok replied.
He, though, was feeling breathless in that moment, he felt like that was the first time Yoongi had said that. ‘our kid’. Now he was in shambles, and he quickly excused himself and went into the bathroom.
He cried a little more than he would have liked and then washed his face but it did little to reduce the puffiness in his eyes. He tried to avoid seeing Yoongi but the insufferably thoughtful man was worried about his sudden dash to the bathroom.
“Whoa. Why is there a rain cloud over my sunshine?” Yoongi asked gently and Hoseok blushed faintly.
“Nothing is wrong, just feeling emotional,” he said in answer and he prayed that Yoongi would leave at that.
“Do you want a hug or some space?” Yoongi asked.
“Both.”
He got a nice long hug and then Yoongi went off to his office. Hoseok went to him and sat behind the desk. As was his habit now, he pulled out his journal and started to write out his feelings.
It was cathartic just to do it but also it also would make it easier to describe how he was feeling to his therapist later so it served a double purpose.
When he was finished he felt clear headed again and was able to focus on some work.
***
Yuki was asleep in his room and the two of them were cuddled in their bed, half-awake just in case Yuki got up prematurely again.
The conversation had tapered off and they were just snuggling.
Hoseok was putting little kisses on Yoongi’s neck and the older man was moaning softly.
“You’re so pretty,” Hoseok murmured and Yoongi chuckled.
“Thank you, Sunshine,” Yoongi responded and claimed his lips for a gentle kiss.
“I'm going to sleep now,” Hoseok murmured.
Yoongi kissed his forehead and settled the sheet around them more.
In a short while Hoseok was fast asleep.
[One month later]
It was to 'Bring Your Dad to School Day’ and Yuki insisted on having the both of them come with him. He was figuring he would be the winner for having two Dads.
Yoongi was nervous about it, having only started to go to parent/teacher meetings with Hoseok recently, but they all dressed up nice and Hoseok assured him it would be fine.
Yuki was in fine form introducing them to everyone as my Dad and my Daddy. Yoongi gradually relaxed and was able to keep up small talk about various things much better than Hoseok usually managed and he was content to let Yoongi do the social heavy lifting at the moment.
When it was Yuki’s turn to present what his Dad did for a living, Hoseok was a bit nervous to be at the front of the class as the center of attention, but again, Yoongi was there with him.
“My Dad Min Yoongi owns a garage and they fix all sorts of vehicles. My Daddy Hoseok works at the garage too in admin -… administration! That is a big word Teacher, give me extra points!” Yuki exclaimed, making all the adults in the room giggle before continuing, “They work together most of the time and I get to come in and make them take a break to play Legos with me. I love them very much. If you need your car fixed, come to Moonlight Garage on Third and Fulton street!”
Hoseok was blushing at the sudden advertisement but everyone seemed to find it pretty endearing. For him it was the penultimate moment of the year.
This was his family now, and he and Yoongi were raising their son together. He had found a Daddy for his son and himself… he had never been happier.
