◇Jacob hates being called Jakey, Jackie or even really Jake. It’s Jacob got it? The only person alive he let’s call him Jakey is you. He acts like he hates that too but if you ever called him by his full name he’ll think he’s in trouble.
◇He never thought of himself having kids. Why would he ever be the type to be a father? That was too much hassle and too much responsibility overshadowing all the other stuff he wanted to do. But then he sees you on the shore while they repair the ship playing with some children and realizes that maybe it would be nice.
◇Nobody would ever know it but he’s a hopeless romantic. Everybody assumes he’d be good at flirting. He’s good at being friendly and maybe a bit cocky. Telling stories to make everyone ooo and ahh. But a woman looks him in the eye and smiles flirtily? He’s done. Takes an awkward amount of time trying to get back on track with whatever story he was trying to impress with.
◇Once he gets you in his mind man is a lost cause. Suddenly he can’t tell his left foot from right. He’s bumbling and wondering what women like. Flowers? Well there’s no flowers in the sea. Could he grow some? Of course not that’s stupid. He can’t cook either how are you supposed to have dinner?
◇Jacob thinks he’s good at hiding his crush but everybody knows pretty much instantly and teases him accordingly.
◇Man is the best cuddler in the world. Sleeping on him is like a warm bed. He’s so sturdy and comfortable and he’ll hold you like nothing in the world could ever hurt you.
◇Asks you to marry him in the middle of a fight. He panicked and it fell out of his mouth. It’s romantic but also very bad timing
◇He loves when he comes back ashore and gets to hug you. He scoops you up and spins you around like you’re his entire world. Which you are.
