Chapter 1: prologue

Chapter Text

???? P.O.V

Once ago in the age before power, true power that is, lived ordinary people living mundane lives. In a husk of a world of their own creations. the only thing they had in common with each other was their limitations. They could grow so much before they reached their peak but never their true potential and yet most didn't even seek it. They lay about living the lives of ordinary people. Never striving to be extraordinary. Thus the age of bleakness.Simplicity at its finest. The color, sucked out of children by the time they grow up. Trying to find ways to escape the mundane. To escape the bleak lives they led. To be someone else other than themselves. The wanting for more than what was given. For a chance to be more than normal but no effort on their part.

But an occurrence that no one could really explain. A sudden evolution of mankind. Many thought of this sudden phenomenon as a curse, others as a Hazard. But to the wise and open-minded a gift, a sign, a blessing even a message from some higher power. but in all honesty the emergence of Quirks we're probably the greatest accident to have ever befall mankind. However,  there was no denying that it was a step towards oblivion, enlightenment, who knew really. We were sure though  It was here to stay and it wasn't going away anytime soon.

The wise open minded however didn't speak up at first. They let the scared weak decide what with people who held this gift. They let fear take hold of something new. And those a dark age we entered. Over time things stabled out. We began to feel normal again. With that normalcy came complacency, and with that complacency came new problems. New masters who tried to force mundane life into human behavior. To bring back old ways. Most went back into hiding. there were those who fought back against this tyranny. To stop those who were trying to stop this process of evolution. To control this gift. Now in a time of chaos. A time I was born into.

To most born alone, I was born with a companion. Someone to take care of. To watch over in this time of chaos. While we fled and hide watching madness take over the world. Most watch in horror, in dismay, in wondering if today may be our last, my brother watched on in terror while  I watch in awe. In knowing that one day with the gifts we would soon have, no matter what mundane power I may have I will use the potential to make it grow to make the only thing I know the only world I know into a place I could protect.

I would have never thought if someone were to tell my younger self and inform him he would have a power that could shape the world any way he wants I would have called him mad. Before I probably would have been like one of these prions walking the street.  Nothing to my name. Just another drone. But I was born into an age of chaos and I was born to rule it with power that would guarantee that dream I sought. For my power was the ability to take and give. One by one I took care of my enemies. By the hundreds upon hundreds of threats that I came across I eliminated them from my world. And by the thousands of souls who sought salvation, I came to their aid. Were chaos swallowed everyone around me I swam above and exceeded my potential. Cementing my place in the world I hoped to create. To all those who opposed me, I crushed beneath my heels. To those who bowed in my presence, I gave the power they sought. In the age of chaos, I thrived. Where I became more than a hero a prophet. I became a god

But If my younger self saw me now he would laugh right to my face. My brother who I knew and loved. Unlike I was born with no power. He was born into sickness. He could have been my biggest liability, had bones made of glass. I would drag down the heavens for him. So I gave him the power to protect himself. However, in my blind ambition, he could not see our dream to make a kingdom for both of us. A place I could protect him, Never had I thought that his view and mine didn't collaborate. I didn't see the damage I had done to him with this little experiment. . That all he could see is a vile monster that stood in the skin of who was once his brother. only a monster stood now in his eyes. My brother became something new. A threat to our dream. So we fought In trying to pull my punches I only cause him more harm. I tried to convince him of our dream. To make him remember. To keep him by my side and rule with me. In my attempt to stave off his tantrum he kept punching and biting to keep my anger in check to remember the good times we had. In doing so I made a realization that the man in front of me wasn't the boy I knew and loved. To keep the memories of the little boy I loved and protected. I made a decision to keep the memories of the boy I knew and loved. The memories I will cherish till the day I die. and so I slew the man in front of me, my true enemy to protect the memory of the boy I Knew. In my grief, I did notice him passing on his power. To someone else who opposed me. We were brothers after all.

Now we are enemies in a board game of chess. In each game we had, I won. In every game, however, I lost a pawn and he gained a knight. Year after year I lost more pawns and he gained more knights. I stayed in my position as the king no matter how many knights he gained. I was the king of kings, they were the king of knights. for centuries, Collecting our pieces to continue this never-ending game, until the last game, I lost. To the worst king of all.

ALL MIGHT

A sniffing little boy crying for his dead master and quite arguably the most predictable. It was fun messing with him and misleading him. Sending him on wild goose chases to waste his time. Then he had to get smart and managed to intercept me during one of my meetups. Were we finally fought. He was strong I'll give him that but his actual technique was as if  I was fighting a comic book character but he had started picking up more speed and his punches started getting harder and when the climax came. He landed a powerful blow to my skull. I didn't leave unscathed no, no, no, I landed what should have been a lethal blow to his stomach. He had gained more power than I was led to believe. He caught in my own hubris. Now here I am. Connected to a bunch of tubes on life support, and recovering from our bought. He thinks he’s killed me but it takes more than a crushed skull to kill me and here he is glowing in his “victory”. If not retired he should be in look for a new successor now but I'm not certain I will be able to beat a new successor.

My brother's power is the only other power I know more than my own. With the power All might put into it, the next successor will have difficulty controlling it. If and that's a big if he manages to gain control of the power he will kill me. So that means my successor will need to improve faster. The timing couldn't be worse. Even with my vast collection of quirks, I'm still bound to the limitations of those quirks. In my centuries of life, I have collected many quirks that have kept me alive and protected. But no quirks that are strong enough to heal me outright. Know I will need to search for a regeneration quirk that will fit the bill. It doesn't help that regeneration quirks are so rare and few. I will have to pull out every resource and look through every inch of this planet to find it. So enjoy the time you have left in this new era of peace you brought, it's not like you have much time anyways. Whereas I have nothing but time. All I have to do is wait

No One is born equal

??? P.O.V

It all started when a baby in China was born with a blinding glow. The beginning of the era of quirks. As time went on people started gaining these incredible powers which in turn led to the rise of villains. To combat these villains a new profession was sparked by the good deeds of people who opposed these villains, Heros. People who rose up to fight for justice and beat back the forces of evil and bring hope. Now the people who hold quirks take up 80% of our total population and the number rises every day. However, there are the unlucky few who are not born with such abilities, the quirkless. The group of people who once held the majority of the population now only counts up to 20% of it. The ones who once ostracized those for having powers are now the ones ostracized for not having any. The reason I bring this up anyways is because I was born with no special abilities

No Ones P.O.V.

“You need to stop beating on him Kacchan, he wasn't doing anything” yelled the green-haired boy. “ Oh yeah and what are you going to do about it Deku. You don't even have a quirk!” an ashen blond boy yelled as he charged at him with two others following his lead. The boy tried to stand his ground against the boys yelling in defiance “ well then I’ll be forced to stop you Kacchan!” it was not the wisest set of words. “ Oh Deku what do think you can do against the three of us.” Kacchan snide poping tiny explosions in his hands. They made quick work of the quirkless child. It didn't take long for the boys to get bored of their punching bag.

“Tch, whatever he’s not even worth the effort anymore.” the blond said. “Yeah let's go do something worth our time,” one of his cronies remarked. They walked away leaving the boy on the ground with tears in his eyes. The child the green-haired boy tried to protect was already long gone.

??? P.O.V.

Yep, that kid there was me. Beaten up by a kid who could conjure up explosions. A kid who strangely enough I also considered my best friend. I know messed up right, what was going through my head at that time. Things weren’t always like that, however. There were some good times before the question of quirk status came up. Before any of us had powers. Back when we were all the same. I mean I was still their scapegoat, but you know what I mean. Even Bakugou wasn't always a sour apple. He had his moments. Until his quirk developed that is. You know there is a theory that people's personalities are made around a person's quirk. I guess it would explain why Bakugou’s was so booming. Nothing but bad times after that though and tons of denial. Mostly coming from my end. Trying my hardest to hold onto a relationship that died the day I turned five. Well, at least I still had my dream.

No Ones P.O.V.

“Forget about it kid,” a doctor with large goggles said

“What?” the greenete whimpered.

“ You see here you have an extra joint in your foot. This is a tell-tale sign that you are quirkless. You will never be a hero.” the doctor said.

“Isn't that a bit harsh doctor.” a woman sitting next to the boy said.

“Yes, but I find it better to be as blunt as possible so that a child can understand” the doctor explained

???P.O.V

That definitely wasn't the best way to tell a child they would amount to nothing in life. After that things just got worse. Not even my mom gave me any encouragement. Then again that was everyones opinon. I was laughed at for my dream. Beaten down by my peers but it didn't matter what they told me. I was always trying. It didn't help that my “best friend” was the ring leader for most of it.

That wouldn't stop me though. I would do anything to become a hero, there were so cool. I always thought that being a hero was the coolest thing you could do. I delved into all things hero. Even started little notebooks on analyzing these heroes. It was my way of achieving my dream, my goal. Even dabbled into chemistry with a little push from relatives. It was my escape. Also helped when I had to create something sticky enough to put my books back together when they got torn apart.

Even if it seemed impossible I would continue trying. Eventually, I would get people to believe id be the next best hero out there just like my favorite hero. All might. He was the clear image of what a hero should be. Courageous, kind, and strong enough to take on any challenge but I think the coolest thing was how he was able to make people feel in a state of calm with nothing but his smile. I wanted to be able to do that. That when I showed up at the scene everyone would know they were safe. Instead, I was a nervous, weak kid from the Shizuka prefecture. Totally not going to make anyone calm with my presence, but eventually, I’d get the hang of it. I mean I should know, right.

I mean this is the story of how I became Mustafa's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man

Izukus P.O.V

My name is Izuku Midoriya or Deku. I live with my mom Inko midoriya and my dad Hishashi midoriya. My dad has been away overseas for work. Right now it's just me and mom. Dad sends us money every now and then and should be visiting real soon. He works really hard to make sure we have a home here. I cant wait to see him again. Until then, however, I have school.

“Hey, sweetie,” mom asked. ”Are you on your way to school already?”.  “Oh, uh yeah I just want to get an early start to school.” I tried talking my way out. “Well hold on, you still have lots of time until school starts so eat some breakfast before you leave.”. I couldn't just say no to her. It was hard to. “I’m so proud of you. In just a few months from now, you’ll be in your third year and then off to high school. Oh, it's so exciting.” mom said trying not to flood the house.

“Have you been looking into the high schools I told you about? You know the ones that are a bit closer to home?” Inko asked. She wasn't too subtle about how she wanted..” yeah I’ve seen them. But I still want to try for U.A you know.” I said. “Hey, have you heard anything from dad,” I asked? “I haven’t heard from him in a while.” she almost looked flustered as soon as I asked. “Oh ye-yes I talked to him this morning, he had to go because of some work stuff, he has to delay his visit so we won't see him for a while,” mom explained. “ oh hey you that field trip today right, do have everything you need?”. “Ye-yeah I have everything all really need is a notebook and pencil,” I said. I really just wanted to get going.

“Okay then well, I'm going to get going. I’ll see you when I get home, bye.”. I then walked out the door and went on my way to school. Aldera middle school. Time to start the day.

“Okay class settle down and get onto the bus.” a teacher yelled out to a sea of second-year junior high students. “ It will be an hour-long trip so try not to make too much ruckus on our way to the research facility.”

“Wow, I can't believe we're going to the musketeer CORP.  it’s one of the biggest contributors of quirk research and has pushed medical enhancements that have been extremely

Beneficial in the hero industry.” I muttered under my breath

“Oui, shut your trap Deku, nobody wants to hear that crap coming from your mouth!” a loud boy yelled. The other kids either laugh and snickered or paid no mind to it. I quickly shut my mouth and kept walking forward onto the bus.

"Today we are going on an end-of-the-year field trip to Musketeer CORP, one of the biggest names in the medical and bioengineering business. So I want you all on your best behavior, and I know this may be hard for some of you.” a teacher went on. I think he meant me.

It didn't take too long to get there. While yes it was an hour away, travel was unexpectedly good. I heard my teacher start making an announcement but I only was able to catch the end of it “and remember to stay in the group no wondering about, Midoriya.”. I don't understand why he had to call me out but whatever. Honestly, I’m starting to think this teacher only does that to look cool in front of his students. Well, that and he's an openly quirkiest with no filter and hates that he can’t purposefully fail me out of his class.

With my head down I walked off the bus along with the rest of my classmates. Then as soon as I got off my face had a friendly meeting with the concrete. “You should really watch where you're going Deku.”. I looked up only to find my former best friend Kacchan. “ Well, it was you who decided to acquaint me to the ground” I tried to mutter under my breath. “ What was that Deku” Kacchan caught me muttering. “Um, nothing I didn't say anything,” I muttered out. “Tch, whatever you stupid Deku.” he snarled at me. Seriously if he hated me so much why does he feel the need to constantly be around me? My thoughts were interrupted by our tour guide.

“Hello, students, and welcome to one of the biggest names in medical and bioengineering science, Musketeer CORP.” the guide said enthusiastically. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing that a lot. “Today we..” she was interrupted by someone in a lab coat who was pretty tall I might add. “I’ll take it from here, we’re a little low on tour guides so we need you to help another group.”. “Oh, right thank you, doctor I'll be on my way then,” she said looking a little dejected until she disappeared into the crowd of people.

“ Hello their children my name is Dr. Hakken Tokage and I will be here as your tour guide.” the man said. He was young and had long hair almost past his shoulders. Along with that, his eyes were very similar to that of lizards, the pointy teeth were also just in your face with how much he smiled. Despite that, he gave off a smoothing aura and was somewhat cleaned up. “ Today I will be showing off our facilities where we do our quirk research, and where we do our development of the sometimes life-saving quirk suppressing drugs, which we use today.” he continued. As soon as I could I grabbed out a notebook and pen to start writing down everything I hear.

The tour was very interesting we got to see how they packaged their quirk suppressors the different kinds there were and where they do some of their research. “Here we look into the inner working of the quirk gene so that we may be able to find it and suppress the use of that gene. Today's use of quirk suppressants is mainly focused on detaining villains with powerful quirks that make transporting them easier but they are also should as prescriptions for people with quirks that have major drawbacks that affect the users”. The tour continued like that until we reach where they brainstorm ideas for their tests. “Thanks to one of our CEOs and founder Isao Yoyarozu who helped find the corporation with his unnamed partner, we can brainstorm where we can better place the medical device we use for the hero industry and everyday life. We are also going to be announcing one of our newer endeavors, support tech for our heroes to use in the fight against villainy.” the doctor explained. One of my classmates asked “ Why does the other founder want to remain anonymous. Wouldnt he want to be recognized for his work?” the doctor answered his question “For some reason, he has remained rather elusive in his identity but was once quoted that he didn't want any recognition for his deeds only to remain to help people. It's that quote that drew me to working here in the first place.” the doctor praised   It's so cool that there are people out there who want to just help people and not do it for some other ulterior motives. Unlike some people I know. We kept going until we entered a bigger hall filled with display cases filled with different animals. I could see some other school groups here too. Probably on other field trips.

“This is where we keep the animals we use for some of our research, such as lizards, scorpions, certain kinds of aquatic creatures, and even spiders, and trust me we spared no expense in these animals' care.” the doctor talked about these animals with great enthusiasm. One of my class raised their hands and asked “ sir why is it that there are so many animals here in the first place. I thought this was a quirk research facility?”

How could she not understand the reason they were here. “Well, you see the reason why all these animals are is because…” the doctor started talking but before he could finish I couldn't contain my excitement and exclaimed “ These animals have their own quirks!” as soon as I realized I’d interrupted him I tried to make myself as small as possibly getting some glares from my teacher and fellow classmates “ Midoriya that was very rude you shouldn't go about interup…” he didn't get to finish because he was interrupted. “Spot on kid, what's your name?” the doctor had asked. “Izuku Midoriya sir,” I answered. “Well, Izuku you are correct. In this room, we have multiple animals from across the world. With quirks ranging from fish breathing fire, scorpions that can produce electricity, and my personal favorite a lizard with an absolutely stunning head of hair.” the lizard in question just had a mullet.

The animals all around him had quirks of their own. And here I was with none. Dang universe really just hates me doesn't it. “If there are any questions you have about these animals and their quirks, now is the time to ask,” he announced. I looked around at the animals around us and I found myself gravitating toward one display case in particular. “ what about this one doctor.”

“Of course, we get the chance to ask about any of these stupid animals and Deku chooses the bug,” Kacchan complained. Before he could lay into me anymore Dr.Tokage looked at me with intrigue.“Now that is one of our most rare quirked animals. You have a good eye. For you see this spider has an ability that even to use humans is extremely rare.”. Dr.Tokage pulled out a scalpel and open the case. He proceeds to cut one of the spider's legs off and place it a few inches away from it. “Now watch this” the doctor continued. We watch as the spider walked to its leg and just reattached it before just walking away like nothing ever happened. “It has the ability to heal any injury it sustains to its body.” the other kids looked at it in awe amazed at what it could do before it was ruined by some loudmouth.” Who cares if it can reattach its own body parts that's such a lame quirk.” Kacchan stated, “ honestly only Deku could pick out the insect and an insect with such a pathetic quirk. Is there any worthwhile around here?”. The doctor looked unamused “ and pray to tell, what is your name and quirk?” the doctor asks Kacchan. “Me, I'm Katsuki Bakagou and my quirk is explosion, I make nitroglycerin from my skin. Don't you forget it because you're looking at the world's next number one hero.” he bragged. “Well if you are the next number one then the standards have just gone down the drain then haven't they and explosive sweat really, cause that's who I want to my rescue the gym locker hero; B.O.,” the Doctor said as a matter of factly. The whole class could only look in shock, even me, and I didn't even like the guy that much. “WHAT THE HELLS THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN!!” Kacchan yelled. “I mean you make a good endeavor clone but honestly if you can't even recognize a quirk such as this then I'm afraid that due to how low your intellect might be you’ll have a hard time getting into the top ten even.” Kacchan was turning red and was going to say something before he was interrupted again “ secondly, your blatant lack of respect this whole trip proves my point even further. How can you be a force of authority if you can even respect it, huh? The doctor continued “so how about you keep quiet and let's get on with the tour.” the whole class was speechless. No one had ever talked to him that way. Today was turning into one heck of a good day. That was ruined by an explosion going off overhead.

“EVERYONE ON THE FUCKING GROUND NOW” a bald man screamed shooting beams into the display cases.

No one’s P.O.V 5 minutes earlier

“Okay so you three know the plan right.” a figure whispered to three other guys “Yeah yeah we remember the plan. Distract the researchers and keep any heroes busy.”. “Good because I don't need any uninvited guests while I take what we came here for.” the leader of the group said. “ Don't worry it's what you hired us to do and if the pay is as good as you say it is then we will definitely work for our share.” the big goon said.

The leader of this group decided to slide down some vents while the other three prepped some explosives to go off on the roof. “ Well at least the signal will be obvious, and with a big explosion, they will have to be forced to evacuate and leave the building giving me enough time to do some sabotage and grab any materials I may need. “ the dark figure said. And as soon as he says an explosion can be heard in the distance. “Well it looks like it’s time to get to work.” the figure said jumping out the vent into a room filled with different types of equipment. He only had a smirk on his face as he went to work activating his gauntlets blowing the equipment to pieces.

Izuku’s P.O.V

It was all happening so fast first the explosion, then the panic. I was almost immediately pushed to the ground as everyone rushed for emergency exits. I quickly went for any sort of cover I could find. I scrambled around until I found myself hiding behind some cover with a few other people. They were panicking too. Then again these guys did just jump out from the roof blasting the place up. I need an opening but, I can't just leave these people either. What should I do, these guys are destroying everything. Wait that's it. Looking at the people next to me I started to try and assess our predicament.

“Okay this is going to sound really off-handed but what are your guy's quirks?” I asked. “Is this really the best time to be asking something like that.” one of the people whispered. They were wearing white middle school uniforms. There were four of them. One with black hair that went down his face, one with blue hair, another who had some sort of mutation, and the girl who was still yelling at me in a whispered tone. “Li-listen if we wa-want to get out of here we need to a-act now.” I tried explaining. I was quickly cut off by the blue hair girl “NO we should wait for some pro heroes to get here they’ll save us.”. “Lo-look we don't have that k-kind of time. We need to go now, quirks, please.”

“I can change the color of my eyes.”

“I can only grow my fingernail really long.”

“I can harden my body but it's not really strong.”

“I can make acid from my skin.”

Okay with the acid and hardening user they can get the other two out of here as well as provide solid defense and offensive abilities if need be. “O-okay you t-two are the most im-impo-prtant” I pointed at the guy in the group “you are going to use your hardening to de-defend against any blast se-sent your way” I then pointed at the pink girl “while you use your acid to ke-keep them off you if they try and at-ttack.”. I continued “ you guys are going to make a mad da-dash towards that emergency exit and don't lo-look back alright.”. The girl who was previously yelling at me asked “and what are you going to do.”. I looked back at her and with a wobbly smile said “I’m going to be bait.” the girl in pink tried to say something before I interrupted her “ get ready, GO!!” I ran towards some rubble and pick up some small chunks. I took aim at the first guy in front of me and threw my chunk of rock right at his head.

“Ow, okay you're going to regret that kid.” the bald man said. The light shone off his head right into my eyes. “God, I'm already regretting it. Think you could move your chromedome about three inches to the left.” he didn't appreciate my comment about his head as he sent a beam of light my way. I had barely dodged it. Okay light beams of destructive energy, I can deal with this. “What smoking,” I thought. Only to feel the small fire that started in my hair. Quickly patting it out I made a dash towards some different coving throwing more rocks at the villains another blast came at me. This time however it was an actual fireball. I peaked out to see baldy and another dude activating his quirk and readying another fireball. “ Hey, super Mario is that all you got.” the two shot their quirks at my little bit of cover. I made it towards the cover in front of me and vaulted over it hunkering down for a couple of seconds. Things can't get any worse.

No one’s P.O.V

As the boy rest from his own onslaught on these villains. A spider made its way to the green-haired boy, memories of the experiments flashed in front of the spider. Of the men in coats trying to take its power, its soul. The boy would suffice as an escape route out of this hell it's known. It slowly dragged itself up the boy's shoe and up his leg finding its way to his neck. Then out of some sort of instinct, it bit down on the boy. The boy only yelped smacking the back of his neck. The spider dropped onto the ground waiting for its power to start repairing its body, but all that came was darkness.

Izuku’s P.O.V

“yow, what the heck?” before I could even process what was happening. I was thrown out of my spot by a fireball sending me into one of the other display cases. As my consensus faded I saw some figures come down from the roof. My vision started getting darker and all could think of was “ what bit me back there?”. And just like that, I blacked out.

Chapter Text

RUDE AWAKENING

The screen in front of me glowed brightly as I watch the video of All MIght saving people, my favorite video since I was five. Always brings a smile to my face, and every time it brings me so much hope that one day that could be me. Saving people as All MIght dose and every time I say “ that’ll be me someday”, but not today, today all I felt was empty. This was after my appointment with a quirk physician. As soon as I got home the computer was the first thing I sought out. The video that once brought me smiles and laughter only brought me to tears now. With no hope of achieving my dream. I hadn't noticed Mom walking in and I turned to her with tears streaming down my face.

“Mom, can I still be like All Might even with no quirk?” I asked already knowing the answer. Mom could only look at me. We must have been standing there for what felt like hours. I wanted my mom to say something anything.

“I'm sorry Izuku, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry” was all mom said. All she could say was sorry. That's not what I needed to hear but that's all I hear. All she would ever tell me. I wanted my mom to believe in me no matter what, but that never came. All that came afterward was coddling. Nothing was ever the same after that.

I’m sorry

I'm sor…

I’M SORRY

“I’m sorry sir the experiment was a failure.” a mysterious figure said

The shocks, the poking, and the tearing. This was the life it knew, Nothing else. The tall creatures in white and clear walls around it. Through the poking and the cutting, they tried and tried again. For what I know not. Since these creatures caught me. All they ever do is prob at me. They would tear me apart. I would repair myself and they would do it again

“How did the experiment fail? What happened?” the tall creature commanded in Its booming voice above the others. The smaller creature “ The beginning trial were promising but with extended viewing from the Pieces we cut off we figured out it wasn't regenerating. It was piercing itself back together healing the limbs back onto it.”

“So what's the difference. It's healing isn't it?” the tall creature asked. “Yes but not in the way we want. We need it to regrow limbs, not put them back together.” the smaller one answered. The tall one commanded, “ Put it on the display, we have no need for failures.”. “As you wish sir.” the creature said with a ginormous hand grabbing the invisible wall. Staring at me with crimson eyes.

“Wake up Izuku, wake up, wake up Izuku MIdoriya.” the crimson-eyed man said

“He…aking..p….izu..on…ku..wa..up” a faint light called to me I walked to it and just like that everything was bright. “Izuku wake up sweetie, please.” his mom pleaded. “What, were, the field trip the other people.” I tried asking. “Izuku are you okay, are you hurt anywhere, do need any juice something for the pain, or maybe you're hungry I should have a nurse bring you food, NURSE!” mom tried calling out. “Mom, mom, chill out, I’m all right. At least I think I am,” I said calming her down

“You were injured in that attack during your field trip. I was so worried when the hospital called they said you were hit with some sort of fire quirk. What happened there sweetie” mom asked. “The last thing I remember was getting hit with a fireball and then my back,” I said trying to get up. “Don't move you could hurt yourself more, just rest for now.” mom said pushing me back down on the bed. As if on cue the doctor walked in

“Izuku midoriya I presume. You are in Mustafa municipal hospital.” a doctor with a duck head came in.” your dying.” we both gasped at the information. “ yes, you're dying to know this information right?” the doctor asked. It gave us a scare we calm down fast. “ you have aids.” the doctor. “HUuuh” mom gasped. “Yes you Aids to assist in the recovery process right.” the doctor asked. Seriously what's with this gag. “Okay let's take a lock at your results, AAHH” the doctor screamed. “AAHH” we both screamed. “There was a spider in there,” the doctor said. “Please just tell us if he’s okay.” my mom pleaded. “Oh, he fine and has a clean bill of health, suspiciously though. Are you sure you don't have a quirk?” the doctor asked. “No why do you ask,” I said sarcastically. “Well two days ago..” “TWO DAYS” I screamed. “Yes now stop interrupting, two days ago you came in with six broken ribs fractures in both your arms and legs, third-degree burns, and a concussion. The fact you have healed so tremendously is a miracle.” the doctor explained. “ How could Izuku have healed that fast doctor.” mom asked. “Well the machines we have were donated by Musketeer CORP, their technology is pretty impressive, so we assume it was that.” the doctor said. “When can Izuku be released, doctor.” mom asked. “He should be good to go today.” the doctor says. With that, the doctor took his leave.

“Mom, what about everyone else. Did anyone else get hurt?” I asked. “No you were the only person who was injured.” mom explained. “Wow, I was really the only guy Injured during that entire thing,” I asked. “Yes sweetie, that standard Midoriya luck.” mom said. What happened to me. How did I heal so fast? It shouldn’t be possible. Then again the doctor did say it was the Musketeer CORP tech but was it really that good.

“Izuku your muttering again.” his mom said bursting his mutter storm. “Oh sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on,” I said. “Izuku, your grandparents called. They want us to come and visit, especially after an event like this. It would be nice don’t you think?” mom asked. “What about the school, don't I still have to do that,” I asked. “Well about that, your school decided to give everyone the week off from this incident, stating that a traumatic incident like this could be damaging to their students.” mom explained. “Oh, okay that makes sense. I guess that makes sense.” I sighed “well at least I don't have to deal with bullies for a week,” I thought to myself.

It was nice all considered. The day went by fast and we were on our way home from the hospital. “Hey honey make sure to get enough sleep okay.” mom said. “Okay I’ll go to sleep early see you in the morning,” I said. It was a long day and I could use some more rest.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning came and went. We made our way to the train station and back towards Mustafa. I just can't stay away from this place, can I? I mean it is a great city, and it’s definitely way better than Shizuka. Here nobody knows me and I can walk out without anybody trying to throw garbage or giving me dirty looks. I’m just another face in the crowd. “Izuku are you alright you’ve been staring out that window for the past ten minutes,” mom said taking me out of my stupor. “Uh, yeah I’m fine just thinking about some things,” I answered. “Okay, well just tell me if anything is a wrong okay sweetie.” mom said with a tinge of worry in her voice. “It's going to be a long day” I sighed under my breath.

The walk was pleasant and so far nobody had called out his name in disgust yet, so hey already a great day. “Okay, Izuku we’re almost there.” mom said. “Are going to cry again as soon as we get there like last time we came to visit?” I asked. My mom stuttered “wh-what no, no I won’t, no promises.”. I gave out a slight chuckle “I can’t wait to see granddad again.” I said trying to start a conversation. “Yeah, I cant wait to see him again too.” mom said, “well here we are”. We made our way to the door. I gave it a quick knock and stepped two steps to the right and back. My mom gave me a weird look before the door was swung open pulling my mom into the death hold of all hugs.

“Oh, Inko I missed you so much!!” grandma screamed tears flowing up. It didn't take long for my mom to follow suit “I missed you too mom!!” she said through tears defying the laws of gravity. “Called it “I muttered under my breath. “Is that the sound of crying I hear at my doorway, that must mean my favorite people are here!” a man wearing a dirty white t-shirt,saying t-shirt. My grandfather Yosuke Hirano, and my grandmother Moriko Hirano, are the two best people in the world. My home away from home. “ get in here grandson, let's let these two catch up I got some things I want to show you.” he started leading me to the backyard and into his work shed. Inventions and blueprints lay about everywhere and hung from the walls. “This is what I have been working on for the past week” he pointed towards a toaster. “What does it do?” I asked. “Just watch,” he said putting in two pieces of bread. And no less than a minute later the toast came like regular toast. “So you made a toaster, cool,” I said trying to sound impressed. “No don't be stupid, taste it” he scolded. With a shrug, I bit into it. And realized something “they're already buttered.” I said in surprise. “That's right, self-buttered toast no longer do you was time buttering your toast.” gramps said “by the way how have those exercises come along?” gramps asked. “Oh, well I kinda haven't been keeping up with them,” I answered. Gramps only shook his head and said “ Izuku if you want to get into that hero course I need you looking as strong as All might not a wet noodle like Eggshot.” Gramps said, “what happened to all that workout equipment I made for you?”. I looked at him while scratching my cheek answering “ Well the hand grip broke.” I answered “ dame gear always breaking on me” granddad said, and the stretching band thing you gave me snapped the first time I tried using it.”. What do you mean they snapped.” he asked. “They just kinda snapped in half” I answered. He huffed “Humpf, that's the last time I use silly bands,” Grandpa said. “ You know what how bout this i will take you out and we will buy legit workout equipment, even if it is boring, you will have at least something to help you buff up.” gramps said.

“Well that stuff may have broke but I have some new inventions to show you, behold the removable rocket-powered wristwatch.” gramps said presenting the watch. When he activated it however it flew into the pile of scraps in the back braking almost immediately. “I’M working on that, it's not the only thing. I have made the wrist-mounted taser shooters,” he yelled shooting it at me. Nothing came but the tiny bit of pain when the needles pierced “Aren’t they supposed to be, shocking.” I asked. “ still working on that. But that's not all I have been making.” gramps said pulling out a ball from some drawer. “ a ball, congratulations a revolutionary breakthrough.” I said ting of sarcasm being noted. “Well being a ball isn't the only thing it does, no watch in amazement at the ricocheted sticky ball.” gramps exclaimed throwing the ball at the door. The ball just stuck there. “ um, it only works once.” gramps sheepishly said. “ yeah yeah it only works once or not at all.” I said. “Wait is that my formula, have you been working on it while I'm not around,” I asked. “Well you started visiting less and less, sometimes I get boarded and dabble in my chemistry.” gramps responded, “besides it’s not like it was yours in the first place”. “What's that supposed to mean,” I asked. “Well it was my materials you used as well as my models when you first made it, so I think it's mostly mine by default.” he said. “ yeah but I was the one who made it, even if I used some of your stuff doesn't mean anything” I reasoned. “Well, all I'm saying is I deserve a good portion of the credit, besides it's not like you ever got it patented” he scoffed. We both looked at each other for a couple of seconds before laughing at each other. “Well, what have you changed with the formula,” I asked. We went over some of the changes together looking at what we could use to improve the adhesive. Before long we were both called for dinner.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Well, how are our little inventors doing after all their hard work,” Grandma asked. “Well, we were able to get some work done together. As well as do some work on Izukus special project.” gramps said. “Oh, and which project is that?” mom asked. “Well, we have been working on this adhesive that's hopefully going to be extremely strong and durable, if things react the way we want,” I answered. “Yeah with that brain of yours and my know how we’ll have you in the heroes course in no time.” gramps said ruffling my hair. “Well, you know that there are other safer jobs if the hero thing doesn’t work out that would appreciate your skills.” mom tried saying. It came out more insulting than encouraging like she really expects me to fail. “Well, we have put a lot of work into making sure he has a chance at it. Even made a whole gun that supposes to shoot out his adhesive we’ve been making” gramps said. “Oh so now it’s my adhesive.” I snarked. “Hush boy” gramps whispered losing the serious composer he had with mom. “Well let's save this conversation for a non-dinner-related occasion.” grandma said trying to diffuse the situation. “No, Inko why is it you're so against Izuku going the hero track.” gramps asked. “I’m just saying that there are other jobs where his skills would be much more appreciated.” mom said, “why does my head hurt,” I thought. “Is it that or is it something else.” gramps asked, “things are starting to get dizzy” I thought. “I mean nothing by it. I’m just saying that there are other jobs out there where he could be more helpful.” mom continued, “ why are things sounding more staticy” I thought. “Is …tha…r..ome…lse,” gramps said, I couldn't make it out what he was saying, everything was getting weird, was I sick or something. “Izu..e…right,” grandma asked. “Wha-what.” I asked looking her way “I said are you alright? you look a bit pale.” she said concerned. “Ye-yeah I-I think I just have to use the bathroom,” I said rushing upstairs.

When I got up there I splashed water on my face. Looked in the mirror and saw nothing in particular wrong. The water was still going so I went to turn it off. When I went to let go I pulled the faucet off. Freaking out I tried to put it back on and failed horribly because in my quickness broke the well of the sink. “What going on with me,” I said.

No One’s P.O.V

“What do you mean you're keeping the rest,” a man said. “I'm just saying that the other materials I grabbed were just extra. I put their support department on the backend for a while, plus all the other stuff you had me destroy.” the figure in black said. “I just want a fair wage for a fair day's work.”. “You can't do that!” the man complained. “The way I see it I can do whatever I want with this stuff I mean, you know how much this stuff goes on the black market.” the figure in black said. “We didn't pay you to destroy anything else but the support department.” the man said. “Hey I figured I could give you guys a head of the game. That was some extra effort on my part.” The figure said “, so you pay me a bonus or you get nothing at all.”. The man stared at him trying to guess his next move. “You son of a bit..” the man was interrupted by a phone call on his desk. He took the phone and answered it. “Yes sir, yes sir. BUt sir he’s. Alright” the man sighed handing the figure the phone.

“So, scavenger I hear you want a bonus correct.” the person on the other end said. “Who are you the big man of this op.” Scavenger said. “I guess you can refer to me as that.” the big man said. “So are you going to be more reasonable than this guy or am I walking away to sell this stuff to some third-rate criminals?” scavenger said. “Fine go ahead well pay you extra for the work you put in as well as half the stuff you took that's profitable.” the big man said. “Well thank you mister big man, you know business.” Scavenger complimented. “ good, now give the phone back to my employee and I will get you your fair days pay.” the big man said. The scavenger handed the phone back to the desk jockey with a smirk. He received his pay and went towards the roof. “Today looks like a nice day for flying,” Scavenger said unveiling his arms and wings coming out from his elbows to his wrist sending a gust of wind behind him flying into the sky with his spoils.

Izuku’s P.O.V

Here I was standing in the doorway in front of my grandparents fixing a sink. Today couldn't get any worse. “So how did it break again?” gramps asked me. “Well, you see I tried to turn the water on and it just kind of shot off the faucet and broke the sink. No clue how that happened really,” I said trying my hardest to lie. My grandpa and grandma gave me a skeptical look before sighing in defeat. “It must have been those damn plumbers your grandma called to fix our pipes,” he said. “Really, I would have thought you would be the one who fixes things around here?” I asked trying to shift the blame anywhere away from me. “Well, she said I wasn’t allowed to fix things around here no more” gramps complained. “Whys that,” I asked. “Well I may have suggested hooking up a car battery to make the water go faster,” he said. “hon that's how that works.” she tried telling him. “Well if a juiced-up car battery can make my blender go faster then why not the water pressure,” he said with a smile on his face. “Because you would electrocute us all if you did that!!” grams yelled at him. He was only laughing maniacally at me “only if you let it shock you Hon.” he said as if that would make any sort of sense. “Welp we stopped any more water from coming out but we have to let this your adhesive set before we can use the sink again.” gramps told me “who knew it was waterproof, convenient huh,” he said. “ don't try to change the subject Yosuke, you won’t get away with that right now.” grams said laying into him about why the car battery thing was a bad idea

“Well, since that's setting you don't mind if I go check out the neighborhood, do you?” I asked hastily budding into their argument. “Really are you sure we can still do some things here,” he said. “Yeah I just want to look around and see if anything new popped up since our last visit, you know. Just get some fresh air for a while.” I reasoned. Gramps looked at me trying to contemplate something. He was deep in thought for a while before saying “all right.”. “Really, thank you I’ll try to be back before it gets any darker.” I said giving him a wave. “ don’t worry about that, I’ll cover you if they ask about you okay grandson.” he said giving me a smile and a wave. “Thanks, ill be back soon,” I told him.

I ran downstairs and out the doors as fast as I could.. As I ran out into the city I tried to make sense of these powers I had. “Okay so I’ve got to have some sort of strength enhancement right, but how that would explain the faucet thing?” I thought, “How come the faucet just stuck to my hand?”. “Okay, Izuku think what could have done this. MAby it was the sticky ball gramps made, yeah that must be it. And we were working on the adhesive formula so that should be why I stuck to the faucet. Yeah, that makes sense, but how did I break the sink basin? There is more to this than I’m thinking. It’s not just the weird bought of strength, it’s way more than that. Maybe, is it some sort of quirk thing, yeah someone must have just activated some sort of strength enhancement that has to be it, nothing more but that wouldn't explain the late reaction” I stop to think about it.” Well what if I must be dreaming right now?” I go to pinch myself really hard. “Ow ow, okay not dreaming? But what kind of quirk effect takes that long to activate?” I said out loud.  Stress, stress was one of the leading factors in quirk awakening. Which must mean. “I awaken my own quirk” I squeaked out. “But what could have stressed me out that bad” I asked. Memories from dinner replayed in my head. “No it has to be more then that wouldn’t it.”I stated. I need a more secluded place to prove these powers are legit though. Like an overfilled dump yard. Or a beach that has turned into a landfill.

“Dagobah beach. Jeeze the city really let this place go That kinda sucks. This place used to look really beautiful.” I said aloud. “Well it's secluded and I can test these abilities without anyone bothering me.”. I made my way into the garbage to seek my destiny. “Oh god, why did I think this was going to be a good idea everything here stinks.” I thought “ beggars can’t be choosers I guess.”. The first thing I went to do was test out my base physicality. “Okay let's get to work,” I said lifting a refrigerator with some discomfort. “Okay, I might need to start working out more,” I thought, “but I was able to lift that refrigerator so that means I have some sort of strength increase from this at the very least. I wonder what else I got?” I asked myself. My thoughts were stopped suddenly as I started feeling a tingling sensation

WATCH OUT

I looked behind me to see a giant mountain of garbage falling toward me. I jumped backward and into the air landing on an old truck's top. the garbage mountain came to a crash where I was once standing. “ so, a warning system. That's helpful '' I whispered still shaken by the fact I was almost flattened by mounds of trash. As I looked where I once was I came to a realization “I really don't know anything about these powers.” I said aloud, “I don't even know if these powers are going to stick”. And just like that, the thoughts from before came to mind. If this was the effects of a quirk it wouldn't be lasting for much longer, and if by some miraculous chance this is a dream that's gone on for too long, I am not certain about these abilities. “No, I can't think like this anymore. If I want to be a hero, I have to make use of the powers I have now and achieve my dream. I have to work harder than anyone else. I won't let this chance go to waste.” I said determination filling my heart. I will do this. “Before I do any of that however I should go back to my grandparent's house. Don't want to worry them any longer.” I said walking away from the hills of junk. “This is going to be one heck of  a story to tell dad when he gets home.”

Well, I should probably try and come up with a plan to build up my body the right way. Oh and power moves to use with these powers. Maybe even some support gear. I’m sure my grandad won't mind if I borrow some things from his workshop. So enhanced strength, warning system what else could I have? Cause it would be impossible for me to have multiple quirks so drastically different. As I got up a piece of scrap metal came with it. Attached to my hand. Huh, so I can also stick to things. It at least paints a clearer picture of what happened back at the house. Jeez, what do I have to give me such weird powers?

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as I got back to my grandparent's house I decided I want to wait before I made an announcement of my quirk. The reason being is that dad should be coming home soon so I want to make sure everything is perfect and everyone I care for is present. I’m sure I can keep these powers hidden for a few more weeks. Gaining control of them was actually really fun, and stress-inducing. Cant be breaking stuff again and giving some lame excuse. As soon as school started again everything was basically as normal as it can get. Go to class, eat lunch, avoid Kacchan, go to class again, then race back home before Kacchan and his goons could get a hold of me. But nothing really goes that well for me.

“Hey Deku where do you think you're going,” Kacchan yelled from behind me. I turned back to see him and his cronies. “What do mean Kacchan, I don’t know what you're talking about,” I said this time not stuttering. “So you haven't been purposely avoiding us and where your stutter. Think you're better than us Deku?” Kacchan snarled. I stood there while his buddies block my way. “ I don't think that at all Kacchan I’m just trying to go home without any trouble.” I tried explaining. “You think I'm here to cause you trouble? Now, that is insulting Deku.”Kacchan smirked. “ I’m just here to ask you what the hell you were thinking back on that field trip?” Kacchan provoked.

Wait, is he mad about the field trip? What did I do to make him mad at all? “You trying to play hero again Deku! It makes me sick just imagining it.” Kacchan growled. “I thought I told you that you need to lay off with this hero stuff. It's no place for quirkless losers like you!” he yelled popping miniature explosions in his hands. “That's why you are stopping me, dragging me into some alley behind our school? Why does it even matter to you if I help some people?” I asked. “Woh, look who getting confident, you going to take that Katsuki.” one of his goons questioned. Kacchan looked right at me eyes burning with rage. “Hold him” he sneered. Both of Kacchans goons grabbed onto me while he was getting ready to give another of his beatings.

Wait why am I just standing here? I can take him. I have a quirk now so I should use it to stand up for myself. Yeah, I’ll break out of these guys' grip and fight back for once. The first explosion came and I couldn’t move. Why can't I move? My body just won't move. My head was ringing telling me to get off the way but I didn’t, I couldn’t. Explosion after explosion came and burned me. It wasn’t even five more minutes until they let drop to the ground. “You should remember next time that talking back to me will result in you getting your ass kicked.” Kacchan whispered to me “ I won't be so merciful next time, got it DEKU!” he yelled giving me a kick to the gut. I lay there for a while trying to come up with some reason I didn’t fight back. I just took it like a wimp. Even with a quirk, all I am is a useless Deku. Everything became blackout and I slipped away into darkness.

—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grade school was some of the worst years of my life. It was when kids started to become more physical towards him or avoided him all together. The older kids even had a part in it. Making excuses like practicing their quirks on him so they could be better heroes in the future. The teachers just stood there and did nothing. He couldn’t even tell them about it because they would turn it back on him

“Well you shouldn’t have provoked them”

“You need to stop lying for attention.”

“Do you want to ruin their chances at becoming heroes, is that what you want to do”

“ Look you just need to lighten up. I bet it was just harmless teasing. Stop being dramatic.”

The teachers always seem to look the other way for them. I never had anyone in my back corner. Nobody stuck up for me And when I stuck up for myself the teachers would punish me for “starting” a fight for “no reason”. I couldn’t even defend myself without getting a write-up for misbehavior. I would just sit there and take the hits they sent my way. I couldn’t tell his mom or dad anything because I was afraid they would punish me as the teachers did. I just lied about the scuffs and scorches I received. I got really good at hiding the bruises from my parents. When dad left for his job it got even easier. No one cared. I didn't care. I don't care.

I don't care

I d…t..ar…

I ..on’t…re

I DON’T CARE

??? P.O.V

I don't care for the lights. They are always so bright and annoying. My living conditions however are much better than the clear walled room. The wall is still clear, yes, but now I have dirt, some leaves, and a stick from where I weave my web. I could do without the giants that pester me. The creators in white are still around but now they just give me food and water. I don't receive the slashes as often as before. Now it is at the curiosity of the littler giants around my home. It's all annoying. They won't leave me in peace. I’m just as much a captive here as I was in the white room. They never seem to leave me alone.

“What about this one doctor?”

Great another group of giants to disturb my peace. This one is somewhat interesting. It was topped with green and it was covered in black robes. They are asking questions about me again. Here comes the slashing. It hurts less as time goes on. My gift brings me back to my full glory. Looking back at the giants some seem to be arguing with each other. They don't seem to like each other too much. No matter back to my den so I can rest.

Booooom!!!

What was that? More creatures coming from above. Better hide and let these things handle their problems. I’ll just wait right here in my home. It sounds pretty bad out there I can almost feel the heat coming towards it. Something is coming it's way.

Baaaang!!!

Crash!!!

I'm free. The clear prison is broken I can finally make my escape. I can finally be rid of this place and its torture. A creature lands right next to me. The small giant with the green top. Well, better ride than any. I made my way up his foot up its body and to the neck. A burst of fire nearly passed us. Startled I bit down to keep hold of my ticket out of here.

Slaaap!!

Izuku P.O.V

SLAP!

“Ow, what the heck?” I looked up to see a man sitting next to me. He had a box head. The other guy next to him had some sort of rat mutation. They both looked at me with widened eyes. They quickly got up and started the run off deeper into the ally I was in.

“Why the hell did you slap him you dolt?!!”

“I wanted to prove he wasn’t going to wake up!!”

“You absolute idiot!!”

“What the heck were those guys doing to Me” I whispered rubbing my cheek. I got up and noticed that the stars were out. “Oh great, it’s nighttime now. How long was I out?” I asked no one but myself. “I better get home now before mom gets there,” I said. I made my way home as fast as possible.

As soon as I got home I tried calling out for my mother. She wasn’t around the house. On the counter was a note. “ guess mom is going to be working late. Guess that works in my favor.” I said aloud. As I was putting my stuff away I couldn’t help but think I Was missing something.

                                                                                                                              “THOSE GUYS STOLE MY WALLET!!!”

No ones P.O.V

“Izuku, hurry up we're going to be late,” Inko called up to her son. He was sitting on his bed thinking about what had happened last night.

“I’m on my way Mom just getting my notebooks” he yells back to his mother. ‘I can't believe I was robbed last night. A good thing I keep my train card in my backpack or this would make things a whole lot more difficult. I don’t want Mom to have to worry about me simply walking home from school.’ Izuku thought.

He tried pulling his finger off his notebook and placing it in his bag. ‘It looks like my quirk is getting stronger but my control of it is starting to get more erratic recently.’ Izuku wondered ‘Does it have to do with what I'm eating maybe, or could it be my mental state.’

Izuku decided to put this in the back of his mind for now slipping on some gloves that help him from sticking to things. “These should work for now. Until I can get better control over my powers” Izuku muttered.

“More control over what hon?” a voice behind him asked.

He almost jumped right out of his skin not expecting his mother to have barged into his room. “ Nothing just talking to myself no need to worry honest!” he spits out hoping his mother will drop this conversation.

“Okay, but if you need to talk about anything you can tell me…” she stopped before gaining a questioning look on her face. “Izuku what's with the gloves?” she asked.

“Oh these, well it’s just a, um, a fashion trend, yeah, people started wearing gloves regularly at school so I thought why not give it a try,” Izuku said hoping his mother would buy it.

“Okay then, just don't lose them.” Mom warned, “ Now come on we have to get to your grandparent's house in a few hours their expecting us.”.

“Okay I’ll make sure to keep a close eye on them,” Izuku said with a smile. ‘I need to be more careful about talking about my quirk in the open. I can’t have her finding out about it too soon.’ Izuku thought “At least not until Dad finally comes home.”

Inko P.O.V

These past couple of weeks have been so hard. Izuku seems to be happier for some reason. I know school has been rough for him these past few years. He hasn’t invited any friends over for so long that it worries me. He doesn’t talk about the school other than ‘it’s fine’ or ‘it’s the same as yesterday’. He is going out more often though. At first, it did seem odd to see him happy. Maybe I am the odd one to think my son being happy is weird. It could be he found a new friend.

If Hisashi was here he would know how to talk to him. Those two can talk for hours about their little science experiments. He knows how to connect with him better than I ever could. He said he would be back in another week or two, so I’ll have to wait until then to address what going on with our son.

“Hey, Mom you okay?” Izuku asked me. I wasn’t paying any attention to where we were. We had finally made it to my parent's home. He had such a look of concern for me. I came out of my stupor and gave him a small smile before responding “I’m sorry hon, just a little lost in thought. Hurry let's get inside.”

“So you got beat up, again,” Izukus’ grandfather said arms crossed. Izuku had just gotten done telling him about his week, including the not-so-great parts of it. “Izuku why haven’t you told your mother about this?” he asked looking at Izuku working on his little adhesive formula.

“Well, I just don't want to worry her, it's not like anything would change,” Izuku told his grandfather the same lie he had convinced himself of for years. “Except maybe she would get way more protective over me and I can't deal with that,” Izuku said continuing with his chemistry.

“Look Izuku you can’t deal with a problem by waiting for it to solve itself.” His grandfather said hoping Izuku would understand what he was saying. “ You have to stand up for yourself. You can't just sit around waiting for someone to come along and fix your problems. You have to do it yourself.” His grandfather continued.

“If I do then Mom gets worried and then I’ll never hear the end of it.” Izuku tried to reason “I just want to be able to do things and not hesitate.” Izuku said looking at his grandfather. “But my body just freezes up and it’s like I can't move or do anything. I’m just frozen there, stuck.” he looked down at his concoction. “ I want to be more but it’s like my body won’t let me.”

“Izuku, that may be because you’re just used to doing nothing.” his grandfather said bluntly. Izuku must have looked hurt by that comment because his grandfather immediately replied “Not that that's a bad thing, just a habit we need to break.” he said trying to reassure his grandson. “Just in the future maybe do something outside your comfort zone. That's your first step, and after that, you just keep upping the ante until you have no problem standing up to your bully,” he explained putting a hand on his shoulder before leaving their little workshop.

Izuku was left with his thoughts for now. “Get out of my comfort zone, and how am I supposed to do that.” He was looking at his work and decided to give it a break for now. He walks inside his grandparent's house still thinking about what his grandfather was telling him. He walked to the kitchen to find something to drink. Once he reached the fridge he saw a pamphlet about some show going on in town. He picked it up and analyzed it. It was a musical called The Mishapes.

“Hay grandma, what's this show all about?” Izuku asked holding the pamphlet out for her to see. She looked at it for a second before going back to her book

“It’s some show that does random skits. It’s successful I guess because they're trying to get a TV show,” she explained. “Your grandfather and I weren’t the biggest fans of the show but apparently they’re popular with children.” his grandmother continued.

“It would be a bit outside my comfort zone I guess,” Izuku said to himself looking at the inside of the pamphlet. It had showing times and one show was happening tonight. “Well, I might just check it out I guess,” Izuku muttered thinking about what kind of show it was. “Hey do you think you can tell Mom I’m going to be out for a while?” he asked looking at his grandmother for an answer.

“Sure hon just make sure you come right back home afterward,” she said hugging Izuku before he left. “I’ll make sure to cover for ya,” she said before he walked out to town for this show.

—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Izuku made his way downtown to where the pamphlet said the theatre was. He was surprised by the fact he never knew about this musical. He isn’t a musical kind of guy but you’d think he’d at least know something about it. “I guess even if I'm visiting every week I don’t know the neighborhood too well,” Izuku muttered to himself “ I spend so much time at that dumpy beach I barely explore the city like I say I am.”

He figured he might as well look into things around this area. He had gained some grasp of his quirk and the strength aspect doesn’t bother him as much. However, when he gets a handle on something some new aspect becomes harder to control. The newer aspect now is his stickiness. He still hasn’t been able to let go of the Panphlet for this show he’s going to.

“So much for gloves, hope the shows better than my quirk control?” he chuckled to himself getting ready for what was supposed to be a kid show anything he found online was true.

“Come on you dolt before someone sees us,” a familiar voice said down the alleyway next to him. When Izuku looked down he noticed the figure who was talking. One had a long-looking snout, and the other was a big guy with a box-shaped head.

“That's the rat person from last week, and the other guy with the box head,” Izuku noted to himself. It looks like they were entering a building. Inside Izuku, he knew that they may be trying to steal something. “Maybe I should just call the cops or a hero,” Izuku said reaching for his phone. He stopped for a moment to realize he didn't have his phone. Before he could berate himself for leaving it his thoughts went back to what his grandfather had said earlier today.

“If I want to be a hero I can’t just let these guys rob this building, I have to follow them, I have to stand up to them.” he decided sneaking up to the door the two wallet snatchers entered. When he got a look at the inside it was very nice. There were props everywhere and he could hear voices calling out to each other as if they were getting ready for something.

He pushed his hood up and darted left of the hallway he found himself in. He kept walking until he found a room with a door cracked open. He peeped in to see the two men next to a box full of purses and other people's wallets.

“Hey you two we need help to haul up the moon for act four.” another person said from a door to the front of the room. “Yeah, whatever let's get this over with.” the boxman said with his rat friend. Seeing this Izuku took advantage of this opportunity to look for his wallet. After a little bit of rummaging he managed to find the limited edition All Might wallet, he stood in line for hours just to buy it.

“Yes, everything worked out. Now to leave before those guys get back and call the police.” Izuku said turning around only to stop in his tracks. In front of him was a multitude of crates filled with a myriad of illegal things. About half the crates were filled with different types of guns and the other half were drugs of different varieties.

“I am going to have to call the cops, are these guns, and what are in these vials?” Izuku questioned picking up one and examining it. It was an orange liquid and looked like it had to be connected to something. Before he could get a better look at everything he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand at the end, before he knew it he jumped up to the ceiling stuck.

“What did I say about just opening these crates up and putting the lids back on you imbecile!” the rat man yelled at his box-faced acquaintance. Izuku was suddenly thanking his inability to remove himself from the ceiling.

“Hey I’m not the one who keeps opening them that's Bulldog's job.” the box guy yelled in protest.

“I don’t care whose job it is put the back on you idiot!!” the Rat Man yelled pointing toward the boxes. “Swear I have to do everything around here. Did you leave the back door open?” The Rat man asked walking towards the door Izuku had entered from. He stopped for a second before he started to take a couple of sniffs around the room looking for something.

Izuku began to panic and rip himself from the ceiling faster than before and succeeded. However the ceiling never actually let go of his fingers, and his feet were still stuck to the ceiling. “Hey what are you doing here you're not supposed to be here, grab him” the rat man yelled to the boxman.

In the shock, Izukus's feet suddenly lost grip and he fell right on top of the vials of liquids. He looked up at the two wallet snatcher faces in horror and ran past them before their brains caught up with themselves.

Behind him, he heard one of them yell “I’ll get you, kid you better hope you can outrun me because when I get you I’ll sell you for parts for the trigger you destroyed!!!”

“What the heck is a trigger?” Izuku thought running past what looked like a dressing room. “Where am I? Is this some sort of costume shop?” Izuku wondered about tripping over some sort of wire. It got tangled over his legs and he couldn’t remove it.

“Is this rope? Are these guys kidnapping people?” Izuku said, trying to untangle his leg from the rope. “Come on, how does this even happen?” he asked just as the two thugs burst through a door making their way to Izuku.

He was just pulling one of his feet out from the rope before suddenly being pulled into the air and next to a metal object. He grabbed hold and pulled himself up. “Is this a catwalk? Am I in A theater?”

He looked down to see a woman who has a hippopotamus mutation singing her heart out to a large group of people here to watch a show “Oh my god, I’m at a musical?” Izuku was shocked about where he was. He turned his attention to a poster on one of the side walls.

“The misshapes show,” Izuku said aloud before releasing he was at the very show he was trying to see. An even more distressing revelation entered his mind right after that thought “Oh man, this show is a front for crime.”

“Yeah, and it’s going to stay that way snoopy.” a harsh voice said to him. Across the catwalk was the Ratman. He had a feral look on his face and asked “So who sent you, yakuza or are you in some small-time villain group?” he asked before chuckling to himself “No you wouldn’t be either of those, you're probably just some unlucky squirt trying to sneak in a free show and saw too much.” he finished

He stood there thinking about his options before looking down at the stage where they were changing acts. The curtains were drawn and this was his opening. Without any other word, he jumped down to the stage landing on his feet. He didn’t get to linger on the STAGE before the box guy appeared from the other side of the stage rushing him.

Izuku took his chances and ran out the front of the stage through the curtains. He was immediately blinded by the lights that shined on the theater. Out in front of him was a sea of people. They all started to clap as he had all eyes on him. He was going to go back behind the curtains before his brain tingled forcing him to jump into the air dodging the rat and box man. The two overshot and flung themselves off the stage

“Um sorry, I didn't think the stage was that close to the edge.” Izuku apologized looking at the two over the stage. The crowd seem to like it giving them a laugh. He took a couple of steps back toward the curtain before hitting an alarmingly muscular object. He slowly turned around to see a man who looked exactly like a bulldog.

The bulldog man tried to grab him before Izuku ducked between his legs and started to run to the side of the stage. He didn't get too far before the Ratman tripped him up with his tail. “Oh no, you ain’t going nowhere, kid.” he sneered baring his teeth to him.

Izuku turned around to see the Bulldog guy and Boxman blocked his path backstage. Izuku had a million thoughts going through his head at once. He had to make a decision and a quick one. He finally made his move toward the crowd and prepared to jump off into the crowd. With a mighty leap, he found himself fumbling into the third row landing into a big frogman. He looked to the side of him to see who were presumably his kids.

“So, are you enjoying the show?” he asked trying his best to not meet the ire of the man he had so rudely landed on without warning.

“It has been quite entertaining so far, but you might want to get moving,” A frog girl said pointing at the three thugs making their way to him. “ I don't think they like you too much,” she stated no emotion noticeable on her face.

Izuku panickedly made his way off the frog man's lap and down the aisle barely missing the Boxman from grabbing him. He made a sprint to the door and burst through it and onto the street. He didn't stop running until he was sure he had escaped the downtown area.

After a very long walk home to avoid any from recognizing him he finally made it back to his grandparent's house. He walked up to his room without a single hello to anyone. He crashed down on his bed and with a muttered breath groaned into his pillow “I just had to go back for my wallet didn’t I.”

Notes:

I know right I didn't abandon this fic. Just had a nearly two-year hiatus from writing this particular one but we are back and we are getting into it. Thank you for reading and thank you for holding out this long to read it. To more chapters ahead and the hope that it doesn't take more than a year to release. also to anyone who got the reference, I'll leave you with this

Onmake:
on the stage stood a man with a fox mutation on top of a set of stairs and he began to sing

"Sodomy mustbethatveryoddto me ,that I enjoy the act of sod..." he didn't get to finish due to a figure clad in green jumping down and shocking him in the face
"no we are not doing that in a kid's show, stop it." he then jumped off into the darkness of the stage.

Notes:

hey, this is a rewrite of the same story I had tried to do before and I'm changing some things up and trying my hand at world-building so I hope you liked it and feel free to give any feedback.
